Best Plumbing Repair in Portland OR
Of the FIVE area plumbers I contacted about a small repair I needed, only two of them responded. Of the two, only Curtis was willing to do that small of a job. He showed up exactly when he promised to and wrapped it up in less than an hour. If I ever have a larger job, I know who I am going to call.

The salesperson for Repipe Specialists was on time for our appointment to the minute. He took his time and explained everything that would need to be done to bring the house up to code. He tested the water pressure and found that it was way over what it should be. I was lucky my pipes hadn't already burst! He gave me discounts associated with the Home and Garden Show, and discounted his bid further to be more competitive with the plumber who, in the course of doing a job for me, alerted me that my pipes were substandard. (We did the research and found he was right. Insurance wouldn't cover a leak or break from these--now--substandard pipes.)
The job was contracted out to Davis Plumbing, which I didn't realize was going to happen, but a friend had used Davis Plumbing and really liked them. They showed up with a team of 4 at 8:00 am sharp and did the job in one day. (Because I'd had a washing machine hose accident, much of the ceiling had already been opened to dry out the subfloor.)
They had to put a new plate on the shower in order to make a hole big enough to do their work. They didn't have a plate with the brushed nickel finish I had, so they switched out the shower fixtures including the shower head at no extra cost!
They also moved the washing machine valves up where we could now reach them and replaced the box where the refrigerator hose attaches. There was some reluctance to reattach the washing machine and they refused to do the dryer (a condenser dryer, so it's different.) They also refused to take the garbage because the dump no longer accepts piping. However, on a return visit to fix various problems, one of the crew took the bag. They also switched out the refrigerator piping from plastic to metal. to lessen the possibility of future leaks. And replaced an outdoor faucet head which had a problem. (They replaced all the outdoor faucets as well.) I had a drip coming from the bathtub cold water faucet, which they determined was unrelated to the repiping (it would have leaked constantly if it was from the repipe), which they fixed for a modest charge.
They work long hours to complete their jobs Monday - Thursday to leave Friday for any unforeseen problems.
All in all, I was very satisfied with their work. They were very responsive to my questions and came back to tweak their work right away.

Our AC stopped cooling right during the latest heat wave. Kenny was able to come out in only a couple days to fix the problem. Kenny is very professional and a very knowledgeable technician. He did a thorough inspection of our system and identified some issues with our over 20-year-old system.
He got it is running again on the same day and we also joined their preferred customer program for regular maintenance on the system, to keep in running in the future.
Thank you Kenny and thank you Sky!

I cannot say enough positive things about Tri County.
Tina in their office is amazing, empathetic, and professional. She helped me figure out what we needed to do when the line between our water meter and the house developed a severe leak last week, and walked me through every step of the process.
Jeremy came out to do the digging, plumbing, and line replacement, and he was efficient, personable, helped us prevent some potential problems with the inspector, and didn't mind when I asked a million questions.
10/10, will definitely be going to Tri County for all our future plumbing needs.

Nathaniel, Alex, and Aaliyah we're fantastic to work with. We had an immediate need for plumbing help when our PRV(Regulator) starting knocking which caused high pressure and hammering all through our home. I reached out via their website and within the same day (Sunday) Nathaniel called me. He actually tried to help by troubleshooting with me to save myself money and fix the problem. Long story short I couldn't. 4 days later Alex came and diagnosed the problem then replaced our PRV and ensured no other issues were present with our plumbing. 6 other plumbing companies in the area could not come with 3 weeks and Brass Monkey fit us in urgently. Thank you for your integrity and professionalism. Everything was seemless and their pricing was near 300$ less than what other companies quoted us. True family business as they are siblings running their own company.

Excellent service! We could not be more pleased. Very prompt, very professional and did an excellent job!! They gave us several repair options and obviously had our best interests at heart. We had an urgent need and the person in the front office went above and beyond to fit us into the schedule. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat!

Jason came out this morning to fix my garbage disposal and unplug my bathroom sink
Very professional, knowledgeable and nice in a natural down to earth way. Not in a fake, I'm at your service, but I don't give a damn way, which I appreciated.
I also appreciated the pleasant woman who answered the phone when I initially called who also let me know when Jason was 30 minutes out.
Another employee called about an hour later to make sure I was happy which was new to me that I thought was a nice touch
Will definitely recommend

Terry Massey Plumbing replaced all our water pipes from street to house. He was prompt, courteous, hard working and did a great job at a very affordable rate.
Terry cleaned up after so it looked like he had never been there. He was able to do the job without disturbing the sidewalk or our beautiful lawn.
We would recommend his work highly. Very nice man. Thanks Terry. So good to meet you. Julian & Patty Spires

I had a water heater go out unexpectedly and called Sutherland at the suggestion of a colleague. Ti called me back within a few hours (even though I was told I'd have to wait till the next day) and was at the house the next morning. He and his partner worked all day to get my old heater removed, the abysmal plumbing done by the previous contractor taken out and replaced, and everything reinstalled and up to code and looking good. When I went down there the next day in the daylight to lock up I found they even cleaned all the leaves and debris off my lower deck on their own initiative. I know who to call for my next plumbing job.

This was hands-down the best experience I've ever had with contractors. I had bought an older house with 60 year old plumbing and needed *major* work (whole-house re-pipe). The Fusion Plumbing employees were polite, on-time, efficient, explained everything in detail, and used quality materials and methods. I sought 3 quotes before I decided who to use, and while Fusion wasn't the lowest bid, they gave me the most confidence, and in the end were worth every penny. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

David was FANTASTIC! He'd worked all day and still squeezed us in at the end of his day (6pm!) to unclog our bathtub. He was friendly, knowledgable, and quick. My two year old daughter was there and he was friendly with her the whole time which was impressive! He even asked after he'd finished the drain if he could caulk in a faceplate for us because he'd noticed it was loose. What a great guy. I can't recommend him enough!

I discovered our STEP system wasn't working properly and the tank was quickly filling with large amounts of waste. I contacted Simpson Plumbing and they were out the next day first thing in the morning. Kenny was personable and kept us up to date on what he was finding. This ended up being an all day job for him. I know it wasn't easy as he was elbow deep in the muck. We would highly recommend these guys!

I came home from work yesterday to a plugged kitchen sink that I made much worse by fixing it myself. I left a message for Burfitt around 8 pm and they responded first thing in the morning. Even better, they were able to get Alan there in just a few hours. He fixed the sink, the price was right, and he was super pleasant to work with. I'm so grateful it was such an easy process. Will definitely keep them as my go to when I need a plumber.

Kevin did a great job! He responded within minutes of my request for a quote--he even suggested i call 3 other plumbers for quotes, which I did and he was right: his price was the same or less then all three I called. He was able to come out, confirm the quote and have a new hot water heater installed THAT DAY. I'm sure not all days are that open and we got lucky, but he was great and we are thankful! He answered all our questions thoroughly and brought our new hotwater heater up to code--where the old one wasn't as well as changed out the stand in sits on for a new metal one. I would definitely use him again!

Hillsboro Plumbing did a fine job identifying the cause of a mysterious ailment in a basement extractor. They came to the house promptly, and the plumber quickly figured out what was happening (a very slow sewer drain that caused refilling from the air vent). Very reasonable charge for good work -- I'm a satisfied customer.

Chris installed a new residential water heater in a timely manner. It's nice to have hot water again. Prompt and quality service. He was upfront about installation pricing. Would definitely use Cates Plumbing again on future projects.

First time user. The service was good. The cost was twice what they quoted. Be aware, the clock is running from the time the hydro vac truck leaves their yard until it returns! I will check other options on future projects.

We were having new flooring installed, and when the installer showed he advised that he would not be able to re-set the toilets since Toto toilets have a slightly different setup. So because both toilets were being removed, and I only had a 1 day to get someone to do the work it was difficult to say the least to get someone with such short notice. M5 was the only local contractor that would come on short notice; however, they would not give me a quote over the phone.
Alberto showed up on time and after looking at the toilets explained for an install of a standard toilet it is usually $325, but because we had Toto toilets the re-set would be $475 for the first one and he would discount the second one to $425. This like I say was not even a remove and re-install, it was just a re-set. This was nonsense in my opinion and someone was purely taking advantage because they could. I countered with $400 each plus tax and he left for a few minutes, and came back and agreed to do it for that. Unfortunately we did not have any options other than be without a toilet until the following week.
Alberto did ask when he got here if we were quoted for the toilet install, and I said we were not so I assume that is when he decided he could charge this outrageous price. I feel exploited since it took 1 person only about 45 minutes to set the toilet and caulk the edge. So realistically this plumber made $800 an hour for their work (parts I would assume were less than $20 for a wax ring and some caulk). This company's business practices are egregious and I would never have them do anything for me again, and I would urge anyone else to do the same!
