Best Sump Pump Repair in Oakland CA

Thank you Abraham and Jesse !  We had a major leak above the water heater.  Flooded the garage.  I posted this on yelp and Abraham was one of the first to respond.  I didn't have much time to decide and based on the Yelp reviews I called Major General Plumbing.
They came in about an hour and check the pipe above the water heater and immediately said this pipe needed to be replace.  was afraid that the leak was coming from above or upstairs, but Abraham said we'll fix one part at a time to save you money.  After a quick trip to the store, they got the parts and replaced the pipe very quickly. They turned the water back on to test to see if there was a leak and sure enough it was fixed. Also, they noticed the shut off valve for the house was worn out and that they would replace it at a $200 discount.  I was impressed., they really are expert plumbers.

Quick professional response to our backed up garage drain on a Sunday morning. Thank you! Price was reasonable for emergency work. Ben had previously installed a new water heater for us.

Lunt Marymor has been my plumber for years. Prompt, professional, skilled, they are especially good with odd European fixtures. They can find replacement parts for almost anything and don't push for total replacement like some companies. They protect the floors with mats they bring themselves, bring their own safe light source so they can really see what the problem is, and clean up the work area very nicely when they're done. They've been able to handle any plumbing problem I've had.  I don't find their prices higher than other plumbers I've used, although I usually see their trucks in upscale neighborhoods.

As far as their not quoting the price of a water heater over the phone (as one reviewer complained about) you tell me how someone would do that?  There are all sorts of unknowns that require an inspection.  Berkeley especially is filled with water heaters that are hooked up against code and would be a plumber's nightmare to replace.    Look up the price of a water heater on the internet and do some research to get an idea what it would cost before you call.

As other reviewers mention this company is a price gouger, even charging a consultation fee.  The technician who came did not do any investigation to determine the source of my issue, but instead quoted scope of work  2x more than competing quotes, which would not have resolved the issue (the part to be replaced was fine in the end).  The technician also claimed I needed electrical and plumbing work to be brought up to code (not correct).  Always get multiple quotes for contractors, but don't waste your time on these guys.

Rey is the best!  My rental had a toilet leak and he fixed it within 24 hours. Will definitely recommend him.

These plumbers are great.  We had two separate plumbing needs shortly after we moved into our new home (old house) and they took care of us as timely as possible.  Everyone who came out to our home for these two jobs was very nice and thoroughly explained what needed to happen.  When the work happened they were really fast.  They even helped me with ideas on other plumbing situations we had in the house.  I definitely recommend them.

Rudy & Ignacio replaced our 15 year old toilets today. They picked up  the toilets from the store we purchased and delivered to our place. They were on time, responsive and knowledgeable. Jorge is awesome!!! He saved our night. Irrigation pipes burst in the back yard and sent water spraying 5 feet in the air. Mike is a lifesaver! I was in desperate need of getting a door fixed as soon as possible. I called Mike up (at night) and he was here just one day later. He's a nice guy, he did a great job fixing my door and he's very affordable. I highly recommend him to anybody.

We had an appointment with the contractor for a period of 2 hours, BUT no one showed up!!!

After my complaint, someone knowledgeable showed up, changing my  rating to neutral.

Liked the online scheduling and ample weekend appointment slots. At 9:30 am on an 8 to 10 am window, the office called to let me know the status and the tech would be out by 10:10. Nice touch, appreciated the status update.

Fred M arrived at 9:50 and was great. Clued me in about a $50 voucher available on Yelp. Efficient to troubleshoot a problem that turned out to be more complex. Good communication about the estimate and work plan.

Called for a kitchen sink leak and Natalie picked up immediately. I called at 1:35 PM and she was here within the hour. She inspected it with diligence and took care of the problem right away. Problem solved and a day saved. I had her look at the bathroom sink as well bc I thought it was clogged. Turns out it was just fine. I definitely appreciated the honesty. I would recommend this company for people who seek it.

Supreme was promptly on time for my appointment (hooray!) after scheduling me on Saturday night for a Sunday consultation about my nonfunctional heating.  The service tech Mr. Harrison was really great!  He explained a lot about my furnace: what the parts are and how they work, and billed me for only an inspection (which can be credited towards any future work if I have additional problems this winter).  I had one of those problems that was not reproducible while he was here (probably a glitch in the thermostat due to lightning and power fluctuations), but he still took his time and went over it thoroughly after we determined that the system was currently functioning correctly.  At my request,  he gave me info and rough pricing on installation of new high-efficiency furnace products, but without pressuring me to replace my existing furnace.  I really appreciated his approach and recommend this company with no reservations.

Lauren Carbo Carbonell came to my rescue on relatively short notice when my SF Mission apartment Edwardian toilet from 1982 decided to leak, overflow, and begin quickly and then slowly flooding my apartment. Lauren helped me get the water valve off and address the emergency. Then, in the next 48 hours after figuring out what was necessary to replace the toilet, came over, COVID safe (N95) and replaced my toilet with something cost effective and water efficient. Lauren explained everything in detail and fixed the toilet and sealed it within a number of hours while I was out and about.  Lauren worked with my schedule and even coordinated with my landlord for payment. After all that, my water heater was leaking, and I knew just the plumber for the job. Prompt, professional, and highly knowledgeable Lauren was exceptional.  

What impressed me most about Lauren's work was how prompt and professional they were without charging me an arm and a leg. Usually you can pay an arm and a leg for prompt service that you have to beg for. Or you have to beg and you pay a decent price and it takes weeks to months for these things to culminate. Here, I got both.
