Best Plumbing Installation Or Replacement in Oakland CA

I was in a serious jam yesterday when I discovered a pipe leaking heavily under my house.  It was probably an ongoing slow leak that suddenly became serious.  I called the plumber I had used previously and they were booked 2 days out...I tried a few others with the same response before I found these guys on Yelp.  They were very helpful and understanding of my need...told me someone could be there by 6:00 pm.  

About 30 min later, their tech Boris called and said he could be there in 20 min!!!  I was amazed at the promptness when he showed up 20 min later.  He was friendly, professional, and immediately assessed the problem.  It was a messy job for him as he had to get into the crawl space where the leak was and deal with the water and mud underneath the house.  This never seemed to be an issue and he took care of it quickly.  Also left without a trace of dirt or mess!  He had a great attitude the whole time and was friendly to my wife and kids.   Price was very competitive.

I have a new favorite plumber and will recommend these guys whenever I can...and if I have a need, they will be my first call!

Paul was great! I messaged him via Yelp and he was very quick to respond to all of my questions. He came by to repair our doorbell. The part he needed was hard to find so he had traveled around the Bay to find it but ended up having to order it. He kept me posted as he searched. Once he had the part, he came by to complete the repair. He was able to come by and repair it while I wasn't home. It was great that it was repaired when I came home and I was easily able to Venmo him. I recommend him for any home repairs and will call him again if we need help with anything around the house!

I came home Friday night to a major plumbing issue in my kitchen. There was a block in the main line and it had resulted in a massive overflow of my sink, which flooded my floors. I called general SF in a panic and Yevgeny was at my house in an hour. Can't say enough about the quality of work, attention to detail, and willingness to stay as long as it took to get it right. I am super impressed and relieved that I have a new go to plumber!

I needed to have my garbage disposal replaced and contacted Almighty Plumbing thru yelp -- the response was fast, and an appointment was set up for a few days out.  I believe it was Javier who came out to the house (right on time which is a definite bonus!) and took care of the disposal, left me information I would need for the warranty, and I would not hesitate to contact Almighty Plumbing for other issues down the road.  Highly recommend!

I own a property management company representing 1000 units in Oakland and Hayward. I called Mr. Rooter at 10 AM. It is now 12:08. I still have not received a call for a plumbing back up at a 50 unit building. My suggestion is never depend on them for 24 hour service. Just like most rooter companies they pretend like they can assist and have done absolutely nothing. I will be most certainly letting my large network of property owners know to never use Mr. Rooter moving forward. I suggest you look elsewhere unless you enjoy getting the run around and never being contacted.

Thanksgiving weekend and we find out that we've been leaking 200 gallons a day for at least a couple days!!! I could hear water leaking behind a wall and took a look under the crawl space but very quickly realized that this wasn't going to be a simple fix nor easy to even get to given how swampy the ground already was (200 gallons is no joke).

My wife called Yaro while I was rummaging about trying to find a way to shut all water off with no success. It turns out my main valve to the house was hidden under some dirt and bark and the water connection to the city did not have a valve for civilians to operate.

What a nightmare. However, Yaro said he was just wrapping up nearby and could be there in half an hour given the emergency. To my surprise, he was actually at my house half an hour later! For a thanksgiving weekend while out at another job, to give such a prompt and accurate estimate for service is incredibly impressive.

Within two hours of us even discovering the leak or 90 minutes of him arriving, Yaro had showed me where my valves are and how the city valves work, been into my crawl space to source the leak, found the leak, found the root cause, fixed the pipe, left me a souvenir, accepted convenient payment, given more advice about our water system as a whole, and left as swiftly as he came to go to his next job!

Best home service experience I've ever had to be honest and I'd happily go back to Yaro again, just hopefully with less urgent jobs in the future.

I used Ace Plumbing today, having used them before to install my garbage disposal and to fix leaks in the bathroom.  James Lee came early (!), calling me to make sure that the time would be convenient for me and it was!  As always he was efficient and competent, immediately locating the broken plastic utensils and other junk in my garbage disposal that had clogged it since Thanksgiving, and fixing the disposal which had not been working since then.  I had struggled to fix it myself for an hour last night, to no avail.  Now it works like new.  Thanks James, I'll call you next time I have a problem with my plumbing.

Please accept this email as feedback regarding our overall end to end customer experience with Plumbing Care Inc.

First some context, my wife and I are retired and on a limited income. The rep arrived on time and reviewed our need to replace an aerator on our bathroom faucet. After an initial review, he indicated a service charge of $190.00.  After some shock at the price, we agreed to have him proceed.

After a few minutes assessing the situation, the rep went to his truck and returned with a pair of needle noise pliers. He removed the old aerator and said we would need to order a new one from Moen.  In total Dimitri was here for no more than 30 minutes, removed the old aerator and offered us a slight discount of $175.00, only after being asked by my wife. He then indicated we would need to order a new aerator from Moen and or a new faucet and he would return to replace if for an additional $225.00.

Bottom line is we were both extremely disappointed at the cost to just remove the old part with a pair of pliers in about 15m. and charge $175.00. What happened to the good old days when companies would charge for an appropriate level of service?

My wife and I were left feeling overcharged for an incomplete service experience. If the rep had offered a reduced price for the amount of time spent and eventual outcome, we would have felt much better and would have added Plumbing Care Inc. to our list of preferred vendors.

I wanted to share our less than positive experience.

I recently needed to call a plumber for my mother so I called on Emil, Polis Plumbing. She had a leaking faucet.  Emil came the following day to fix her faucet and he went above and beyond and fixed her kitchen faucet too. Big job or small job, call on Polis Plumbing for your plumbing issues.

We had a few relatively minor plumbing issues that needed addressing (clogged master shower, clogged dishwasher, faulty toilet flange).

Vince responded within minutes via Yelp over the weekend and was willing to even swing by on a Sunday for no extra charge, but the timing didn't work out.

He visited today however during his one free slot and he was great.

First, he provides free estimates. If he starts work, minimum charge is $150 (service call charge). More than fair and reasonable.

Second, he didn't charge much for any of the problems. He did the work for less than others quoted me via Yelp.

He was clean, highly professional, and personable.

He also provides advice on other issues that he sees.

We are now thinking of going with him to get a soft water system put in. He definitely seems to know what he's doing.

I highly recommend Vince and VIP. I would refer anyone I know to them. Thanks for a great job!

All my drains backed up this morning.  I called and they were able to come out the same day.  Mike came and snaked the drain from the house to the septic tank, problem solved!  Mike was professional and quick to fix the problem.  I would use Plumbing Solutions again!
