Well last Friday around noon PG&E decided to do a 10 year inspection of the gas meter in front of our building in SOMA. They determined that their line to the meter was leaking and by 8:30 pm they had determined that I had a leak on my side of the meter as well.

They left me without a meter and no gas to my warehouse and livein loft upstairs. The following morning my wife suggesting looking on Yelp for a plumber. I saw many reviews but Atlas was the first place that a real person actually answered the telephone.

Audra who answered the phone was very calm and friendly even though I was a emotion wreck. She told me she would have someone out around noon that same day. Frank and Selvin showed up about an hour ahead of schedule and we discussed the problem at hand. I did not want to spend anymore than I had to and explained it to Frank. Because the pipe that was leaking at the meter was old and quite corroded since it was in the sidwalk and open to the elements, Frank wanted to quote me to replace the 2 gas pipe all the way into the building and take up about 8 squares of sidewalk. I asked if he would consider taking out a square and see what the condition of the pipe was where it was buired. If it was ok then that would be the exteent of the work. So he suggested giving two written quotes one for the easier fix and one for the worst case senerio.

Keep in mind this is a commerial building built in 1931, so this was not an easy job. He was very quick with the qoutes but I took that as a sign that he had a good idea of how to jusge the job. The worst case senerio was $ 3800 and the better case was $ 1800. Don't forget this is a 2 service not 3/4. Frank said the simple fix would take a 1/2 day and the major fix would be more like a day and 1/2. I didn't think to try to barder with these guys sinceI was happy they came out so soon and were able to start the job the following morning. In retrospect I think the bid seemed fair after considering, 2 guys, their insurance, the overhead of the company, the parts and the fact that they would get and pay for the permits with the city and they would deal with the city inspector and show back up to deal with that.

I was lucky as it turned out that the easier fix was acceptable. They did find another leak inside the building after they pressure tested the line. but we were able to agree on $ 350 for parts and labor for the other leak problem.

When you can't wait for your brother in law to come and help you with the job or you are like my and are still recovering from surgery you are not going to do this kind of a job on your own which is what i would have done when I was younger. Of course what do I know about plumbing codes etc.

Anyways I found Frank  to be very professional and an easy going guy. He explained everything they were going to do and like i said he went along with 2 different quotes. He handled everything with the inspector and was here 1/2 dat Tuesday, Wednesday and 1/2 of Thursday. I am hopefully going to get PG&E out here tomorrow and get the gas turned back on.

This was a big problem not a dripping faucet. i was glad to get proffesionals on such short notice. I was greatful that they made me feel like they were going to deal with everthing. They even did a nice job repouring the cement.

I feel like I  had a possitive experience with an unpleasant experience.

These guys do great work, fairly priced and quick gets the job done. The amazing heated floors work great in the winter time and also helps keep the house warm and cozy. If you are considering getting wood floors I recommend getting the heated flooring, its a great saver with energy costs as well. Awesome people! Highly recommended.

Gil was reliable and helper fixed the leak at home. He was cost effective and highly reliable.

Heater was broken for months, house was freezing!  They came, gave me a very fair quote for a new central heating unit, scheduled it quickly, arrived on time and installed it quickly. Super happy and satisfied with their service. They are really good and very busy so if you want a job well done at a good price, don't hesitate!!

The guy responded fast and made a fast appointment with a good price. And my toilet is fixed. Good work. Want to use this plumber in the future with other problems.

We asked Rey to come give us a quote for air conditioning a year ago.  After pg&e finally updated our transmitter a year later, Rey and his team came and installed.  I changed my mind on where to put the unit and Rey didn't even blink... he said, we want you to be happy and had his crew move it.  He didn't make me feel bad he simply wanted me to be happy.  Then we needed one more vent and he came in the next day and put one in.  Every step of the process was smooth and lovely.  I loved his energy and couldn't recommend him any more.  He and his team are the best!

I don't write a lot of reviews; they tend to be reserved for when I'm particularly delighted or disappointed.

So I'm overjoyed to report that Jazz was responsive, effective, and very reasonably priced.  I now know exactly who I'm going to for future jobs.

And Justin was basically perfect: arrived within the window, was polite and affable, got everything working in record time, taught me a thing or two, and even took a moment to pet my cat.

I think Jazz has mastered a trick that so many others never do -- great work at a fair price. I'll always keep coming back for that.

I bought a '41 cottage with sweet original millwork. Unfortunately a previous owner had done a '90s bath remodel. ugh. Ted came in and restored it to my detailed specifications, giving me design input along the way. To my surprise he personally knows carpentry, plumbing, electrical, tile setting (tiniest grout lines). And he completed the work with minimal disruption to our lives (it's our only bathroom!!) Yes I recommend him.

This is my second time using CR&P. This is also the second time that I've been able to work with Ron as my onsite technician. CR&P is highly responsive and always willing to work as fast as my schedule allows. Ron is super friendly and careful around the house. He did such a great job the first time, after I moved into a new place, so we called him again to unclog a bathroom sink. He was SO fast and kept the area clean as he worked. I'm glad to say I've found my go-to folks for plumbing needs in SF.

Yevgeny is as good as they come.  We had an unexpected outage just before the Fourth of July weekend and discovered that some electrical wiring had melted and then disconnected.  It not only caused us to lose power but posed a safety threat.  I called Yevgeny late on a Friday afternoon and he called me back within 3 minutes.  He helped me immediately troubleshoot the issue to make the situation safe and then showed up himself within an hour.  He replaced the connection and stayed to ensure that everything in the house was back up and running.  He is extremely friendly and professional, and will be at the very top of my list for electrical and other contracting work in the future.

Israr is top notch.  I had a discussion with him briefly about a plumbing issue yesterday because the city came by without proper notice and replace their crappy water meters.  While the swap wasn't too long, they did not notify us properly of when they began and when they left.  During this time I tested my faucets and something apparently broke loose and caused my cold water faucet in my Master BTRM to fail.

Israr explained the situation with me, straight forward, and then came over after making an appointment with me and greeted my wife.

She was happy with the interaction and it's hard to get my wife to be happy with repairmen.  So that's always a +.

Israr is straight forward, tells you what is happening and is kind enough to run through the problem end to end.  Forget about what the other guy says in the post on 3/28/2022.  It does not reflect the straight forward attitude that we all want from proper plumbers.  This guy's prices are reasonable and for an adhoc appointment, quick and easy to solve.

These folks are amazing!  Margarita phoned to let me know the status of the schedule.  She checked with me to make sure everything was good.
I even got a followup call the next day to double check.  They were very quick in responding to my problem.  Jorge arrived and was competent and hardworking.  My water heating problem turned out to be a bit more complicated than originally thought and he persisted and fixed it.  He was polite, happy to explain what he was doing and why and he is a very kind and lovely man.  It was a pleaure to have him in my home.  The charges were very reasonable.  I am a senior and it is so reassuring to work with reliable and caring people.  I highly recommend Zero Leaks Plumber!

Had a problem with a leaky bathtub upstairs - water pouring running from the bathtub through the ceiling into the downstairs.  

Talked to Carlos at Lance.  He was very responsive.  Set up an appointment for the next weekday.  Carlos came in, identified the issue (long story, but the overflow was installed by a 2nd grader - need a yelp review on that contractor, but I'll wait till giving zero stars is possible).  Carlos had the problem identified and fixed quickly, and the bill was reasonable.  He's my go-to.

Contacted them Monday morning at 9, left a message, they called me back about 30 minutes later, then left a text and we did the rest of communication via text. Sent them a photo of the situation, they gave me a quote, we scheduled something same day at 2:30pm. At 2:20pm, my doorbell rings, and two very friendly men are standing in front of my door, ready to fix my broken kitchen drain.

What else can I say. They showed up on time, were super likable and laid back(probably because many plumbers actually make more than many tech workers), great communication, got the job done on the same day, I paid them right away, absolutely no problems at all. This is the way it should always be, but these days it's rare.

Requested quotes from multiple plumbers on yelp. Infinity plumbing was fast with responding and came up with the lowest quote and were also available the next day! I was able to book an appointment over messages and the whole process was seamless.

I am a SF realtor who listed a property in Burlingame in Feb. I sold the property to my client's grandmother in 1995. I recalled that at point of sale it was mandatory to provide certification to the planning dept. that the property passed the sewer lateral pressure test.
Although the sewer plumbing system had been replaced in 1986, I contacted the Burlingame planning dept. I was informed that the sewer system pressure needed to be retested since it was more than the required 25-year mark that the sewer plumbing system was replaced and had not been retested since.  I was also informed that the plumber needed to be on Burlingame's list of approved plumbers to perform the test.
I became preoccupied with the pre-marketing work and upgrades needed for the property as I was trying to meet meet the first public showing deadline. After the first showing a colleague referred Jason Wells with Discount Plumbing.
I left a voice message with Jason and he responded within hours. He informed me of what needed to be done. He filed for the necessary permit and contacted the City for the appt. with an engineer that needed be present during the inspection. Jason informed me that the scheduling with an engineer could take some time.
After 2 weeks of marketing my client received a few offers. The accepted offer was to close in 10 days. Panic set in and I contacted Jason to inform him of our closing schedule. I contacted him more than once concerned about the testing and the possibility that repairs were needed which could delay closing. Jason was very reassuring and having reviewed the plans from 1986 he said that the sewer system should pass the test.
I met Jason at the property within the week of closing. He was early and had started to fill the lines. He explained the process and that he needed to wait for the engineer to arrive. He patiently waited in his service truck.
After some time the engineer arrived. Jason informed me afterwards that the system passed the pressure test. He prepared the the necessary paperwork and handed it to me. I was so relieved. My anxiety would have risen to another level if it had not...nothing worse than an over anxious realtor haha.
Jason was efficient, timely with reassuring responses to my anxious messages and extremely kind. I would highly recommend Jason to anyone needing plumbing repairs or upgrades.

Saturday December 29 (yes the weekend between Christmas and New Years) the dishwasher backed up into the ktichen sink which also backed up. After trying unsuccessfully to find and fix the problem, I called Albert Nahman Plumbing at about 2 pm.  I reached an answering service who said someone would call me right back.  A man named Carl called, got all the information (I told him I was a past client), put me on hold for a brief time, and asked if it was OK if someone came between 3pm and 5pm.  I said absolutely.  Stanley, the techncian,  arrived at about 3:15 pm ( about an hour after I called.  Amazing!  He put on his booties, diagnosed the problem (clogged drain) and told me how much to fix it.  He had to clear the drain from the pipes outside the house.  So professional.  Success!  Great service from Albert Nahman and Stanley.

Mr. Harrison was professional and friendly. It turned out that there was nothing wrong with the furnace and that the defective part seemed to be the 9 year-old thermostat. Supreme charged us $85 for the visit, to be applied to the cost of a replacement thermostat. I am entirely satisfied with Supreme's service.
