Best Ductless A/C Services in Lexington KY
Plumbers are never cheap. Service One is no exception to that. They charge $85 an hour plus materials. But if you can't get cheap, you definitely want fast because that keeps the hours from getting out of hand. The plumber came out and was fast and efficient. He had the job done in less than an hour, and while I was still out a Franklin, it wasn't several Franklins.
This was the first time I had ever used Yelp's service for finding a business. It was super easy. I just entered the problem I was having, and three plumbing services were notified. Service One got back with me that night, within about a hour of my submission. Two other plumbing businesses contacted me the next morning. I went with Service One because they were so quick to get back with me, and I like businesses that respond quickly. Rates between the three were all pretty close, although Service One had the other two beaten by a small margin.
I really liked the plumber, Steve. I explained to him the problem, he immediately told me two possible solutions, and got to work. Luckily, the issue was a quick one to fix, and he had the job done in around a half an hour. He even explained to me a possible solution and cost to a separate issue I was having that did not immediately need to be resolved.
Billing is a little different with Service One. You don't pay the plumber. A bill shows up in the mail a day or two after the service. It's a little strange, as you don't know the exact charge until you get the bill after the fact, but was a minor issue to me. I would definitely use them again.

We have a geothermal system and a heat pump in another part of the house, both installed by Arronco. Overall, the geothermal system has worked efficiently, however we have had many issues with installation and service. Due to improper installation, our 2nd floor was flooded requiring drying, mold remediation, replacement of ceilings, etc. To Arronco's credit, they paid for all the repairs. On the heat pump, we've had Arronco service it repeatedly due to issues with balancing the temperature and failure of components.

I must say that my experience with GreenBox was unfortunate, to say the least. My A/C unit that was replaced in 2015 by GreenBox had a coil that needed to be replaced. It was very easy to schedule the initial diagnostic visit, there was a very quick turnaround for a technician to visit my home. The technician arrived on time and was very respectful. Once the technician realized what the issue was he said that they would order the part and would contact me when the part came in to schedule an install time. A week after the technician came I still hasn't heard from GreenBox so I called and found out that they had been leaving messages for the prior homeowner even though I made the appointment under my name and the check for the diagnostic was in my name. The service manager left a voicemail and made a snarky comment and said that they had been doing work for the prior homeowner and questioned if I was the homeowner and occupant of my home. The service manager advised that I didn't have warranty coverage since I didn't pay for the unit replacement in 2015. However, he agreed to honor the warranty as an accommodation as long as I would purchase the annual maintenance package. The service manager made it very clear that he wanted to earn my business which is why he was agreeing to honor the warranty. I called the next morning after I had a chance to review the warranty documents and spoke to the service manager and explained that the documents stated that I had 5 years of coverage as the subsequent homeowner. The manager agreed but still insisted that I have to purchase to service agreement and explained that he could void the warranty if the unit wasn't being serviced by the maintenance plan. I had also asked for a breakdown of the price since the cost seemed high for something that is covered on a warranty, the manager gave me a loose breakdown of what was going into the cost to repair.
The next issue was when GreenBox came to repair the unit. Apparently two technicians showed up on 5/29/18 to fix the unit. GreenBox never called to set up a repair time order me know that the part had came in like they said they would. I was out of town that day so I called back and explained the situation. The receptionist was not sure why they didn't call, she said that she would call me back to advise what he next steps were, 2 hours later and I still hadn't heard back from her so I had to call again to get an update. Nearly every time I called GreenBox I was given the excuse we are very busy right now. Shortly after I made the call back to GreenBox the install manager called to advise that he had scheduled me for the next available opening.
However, I must give credit where credit is due - the installers arrived on time to repair my unit and worked very quickly to get my air conditioner repaired.
Overall, there was a lack of communication and coordination on GreenBox's side. Needless to say, GreenBox has certainly lost my future business. I initially felt comfortable using GreenBox after reading Gwen's story online saying that she wanted women to feel that they had someone they could trust for home solutions; I certainly do not trust GreenBox any longer.
