Best Plumbing Services in Kansas City MO
Follow-up review. After continuing service with them another four years we finally got the news we were anticipating for awhile. The central heating and air conditioning units that were in the house when we moved in before out 22 yr. old daughter was born were headed for replacement. Cheaper to do both at once and today was the day.
Cha-ching. That kind of equipment and installation is pricey. You know that, I know that.
Guys arrive at 7:30 a.m., are out of the house by 4:30 p.m. (my wife even made lunch for them) and everything installed including a walk-through to show us the new gear, and... wow, immediately, the heater is running less, running quieter, better moisture in the air. We're more comfortable, win-win. We are really happy. Installation looks like a million bucks and we are set for a long time now. Amazing how this company continues to really impress us.
Sure, go ahead and use Yelp to review that espresso shop for the 500th time. Never know when that might be critical, but a business like this and less than a handful off reviews? That's just sad. Take a good look at this one. These folks kill it with superior service.

This company is an absolute treasure.
My shower handle broke at 7:15 in the morning and wouldn't shut off (my house water shutoff also wasn't working). I called Stine-Nichols in a panic wondering if I'd be able to make it in to work today.
Not only did they respond and follow-up immediately, they had a plumber at my house within 30 minutes. He was friendly, efficient, and thorough with his work.
I absolutely recommend Stine-Nichols for anyone with a plumbing emergency - not only will they respond and repair quickly, but their rates are VERY reasonable and fair, and their employees are friendly and helpful as they could be!

They responded quickly to my quote request through yelp, and gave a reasonable price range estimate. They were very accommodating to come out on a Saturday for us, even just to do a plumbing water valve replacement. While he was there I asked about nest thermostat installation, and he already had one in the truck and he was able to install it for us while he was there for a reasonable price. We will be calling them for future needs!

Would like to thank Anthony Crownover and his crew for an excellent plumbing repair on our main waterline. I've had the opportunity to work with this company at my resident and businesses for mainline snakes and small and large plumbing jobs and have been satisfied every time.
Thanks Anthony for being prompt, fair, and easy to work with.
Call you next time.

Had a bad leak at 3pm on a Saturday. He was able to get out to me within and hour and fixed it quickly. Never tried to upsell me on a bigger job or replacement, just got in, got it fixed and got out.
Will be using Pierpoint Plumbing again.

I've asked McCann to come in for everything from a basic faucet repair to replacement of multiple fixtures across several bathrooms over the course of several years. When it's been critical to the point where I'm considering shutting off the water to the house, they're there quickly.
Every tech they've sent has been knowledgeable and able to explain and rapidly correct the problem. Superior professionalism and honesty. They are my absolute go-to for the Leavenworth/Lansing area.

We were very happy with our experience with Affordable Plumbing! Matt replaced our bathroom sink faucet, installed our new dishwasher, and made some changes to our kitchen plumbing to work with the new dishwasher. He was very efficient and thorough and took the time to explain everything to us.
His prices were very reasonable! After he left, we called him with a question and he was very nice to answer it thoroughly in a timely manner. My ONLY complaint was that he did show up a little late, but I wouldn't choose to work with anyone else. Thanks for a great job!

Quality work is not cheap. (Low cost often means low service, weak or lacking guarantees and minimal effort) Anthony is not the cheapest -- but they are the the best plumbing and heating/cooling experts I have found. I've trusted them for years, referred them to my friends and neighbors and have not been disappointed. They tell you up front how much the repair or replacement will cost, give you lots of options, do excellent work, all while being polite and cleaning up after themselves -- and they stand by their guarantees. Who could ask for anything more? I guess you could ask for discounts. They offer that too through their ASAP program which gives you a discount on parts (and labor, I believe) and free inspections each year for the heating system in the fall... another inspection for the cooling system in the spring... and then there is the plumbing inspection. They don't always find issues in their inspections... but sometime they find parts they originally installed that have worn out too early and they've replaced them for free. Can't say enough about the honesty and integrity of this company. So rare these days. If only they could teach other companies how treating customers right makes it a win-win for everyone.

I own a business that has used Snake n Rooter for over 10 years. It is a well run company with knowledgeable techs. You can reach them 24 hours a day. They have the technology and staff to handle everything from a clogged drain to a cracked sewer line. Of course there are rare times when they are called back to a job that didn't seem to be done just right but what business has a PERFECT record? They do stand behind their work and will get it taken care of. Their staff is friendly and professional whether it is the people answering the phones or the technicians. The technicians bring mats to put down in the area they are working so you never have to worry about cleaning up after them. It is just the way Mr. Barefoot, the owner, has structured the company.

We went through Home Depot to get some kitchen work done. They sent True Blue Plumbing to install our sink. BAD IDEA! Right side of the sink wouldn't drain and the garbage disposal shot water up instead of down the drain. True Blue tells me it's a venting issue and for them to check that out would cost $$$. They left. Called them back out the next day because the pipe was leaking and the dishwasher kept backing up. Told me our garbage disposal is too big and still a venting issue. Right side of sink still not draining.
Called a friend who does plumbing over, he took apart what True Blue installed and wouldn't you know it.?.? The True Blue plumber installed a PVC pipe and left it so long, that it blocked the right side of the sink. Kept it from draining and sending the same water back and forth to my dishwasher, which eventually started leaking all over the hardwood of my kitchen floor. NOT A VENTING ISSUE!!!!
Spent 2 weeks trying to get a refund. True Blue denies any wrong doing.
We will be contacting Home Depot and letting them know and hopefully they remove whatever contract they have with these crooks.....

I want to highly recommend Earl and Rising Son Plumbing! We waited 5 days for our normal plumber to call back and finally called RSP. Earl is the most professional and nicest person. He came out the same day and fixed all problems done by the previous plumber. Very reasonable as well. Earl is also a master plumber.

Bob Hamilton came first to try and unclog the drain and somehow made it worse. They claimed there was concrete in the drain and quoted me $15,000 to replace the pipes! I called Razor Rooter and they were out within two days (we're in a polar vortex when this is happening, so understandably they will be busy). Josh was dispatched first thing in the morning to my house and cleared the pipe in just 30 minutes. He also claims that it was just roots, not cement.
Josh was very professional, showed up when he said he would, and is clearly knowledgeable about his trade. He answered all my questions simply enough for me to understand and explained the situation using analogies that helped everything make sense to me.
Overall, I am highly satisfied with the results and services provided. Josh not only cleared the pipes, but cleared the stress that came with it. I would have given 5 stars if they cleaned up the sewage, but Josh told me I can wash it back down the drain. Understandably, cleanup is not their job, but, luckily, there isn't that much to clean up in my case and it will be super easy.
Bob charged me $350, Razor Rooter was less than half that. Bob refused to come back out to finish the job, Razor Rooter warrantied the work for 90 days. Never use Bob Hamilton.

SHORT VERSION:
Pros:
- Front office and plumbers were polite and helpful
- they kept at it until it was resolved
Cons:
- Took them three trips to provide what should have been provided the first time.
- EXTREME defensiveness that is threatening the sale of a house and harming two people as a result. (WILL cost seller at least $100 unnecessarily, and could cost a couple thousand!)
- High prices
- Finally got mostly resolved, but was an ordeal.

We had used R Mechanical for at least 10 years. They installed a water heater, a garbage disposal, changed out lines to the washing machine, installed a water line for the refrigerator, replaced a faucet in the bathroom, and a faucet in the kitchen. We won't use them again despite several previous positive experiences. Their customer service is now poor, their service has gone downhill, and they are completely overpriced.
They wanted to charge nearly $700 for installing a new toilet (we were purchasing a new one ourselves), charging separately for replacing the shut-off valve for the toilet, and replacing the faucet in the bathroom. We asked for the quote when we scheduled an appointment for a plumber to come to the residence regarding the waterline. The hole in the foundation surrounding the water line leaking some water, presumably had lost sealant. We thought it might need to be resealed. The plumber wasted a trip to the residence over this issue because it had nothing to do with the waterline, so we thought we would have him at least address something while at the residence. I clearly explained the issue over the phone to Liz 3X. I stated it wasn't the waterline, it was coming in from the hole after a large deluge of rain and had stopped coming in as soon as the rain stopped. Liz still documented it as a leaky water line. . .
We waited for the quote in writing for nearly a week. It never came to my e-mail address. I wrote them on their website a few days later when we still had not received a quote, and I didn't hear back from them. I finally left a message and received a callback. Apparently they had an e-mail on file that is over 6 years old. They never bothered to verify the e-mail address at the residence prior to sending the quote out. And, despite changing the e-mail address with Brooke over the phone and calling them 2X, I still don't have the quote in writing. I finally just had her quote me over the phone.
Prior to this, I called them about hail damage to our r&r raincap that covers the furnace vent. Liz tried to refer me to a roofing company despite explaining to her that heating and ventilation companies are trained to replace these, specifically because if you push them down too far, which a roofer could do due to lack of proper training; it can cause carbon monoxide poisoning. This comes straight from a roofing company that instructed me to call an HVAC company. I only called them because our normal HVAC tech can't climb on a roof due to a disability and his father, the owner, is too old to climb on a roof.
When we remodeled our kitchen about 2 years ago, they installed a new faucet and reconnected our garbage disposal and replaced a bit of plumbing that the plumber claimed needed to be replaced under the sink. It cost us nearly $700. We recently found out it would have cost less than $400 elsewhere. The technician that came to the residence was also less than desirable. . .
When the water heater was installed about 10 years ago, there were problems (e.g. drywall damage when moving the old unit up the stairs), but we let it go and had several positive experiences following the incident, specifically with their plumber Adam. But the recent issues are so egregious that we won't ever use them again.
They are also terrible about getting receipts to customers. Receipts are important for records, especially if selling a house in the future.
After the last problem, I texted our electrician and asked for a referral elsewhere because we trust his judgment. We are glad we did it. Won't use them again.

We needed a plumber to replace a leaking valve, and had to turn off water to keep our kitchen from flooding.
I called a couple of other plumbers first, and was told later in the week. I called Taylor, explained the situation, and they dispatched a plumber, who arrived within 30 minutes.
The work was done efficiently, quickly, and at a very reasonable cost.
I've found a new plumber, that I'll call for all of my needs in the future!!

Main drain was clogged. First Tech was very nice and professional. He completed the auger portion of the service and told me the drain was open. He called in to have a Tech with a camera dispatched and then left. The Camera Tech (I mean sales person) arrived to show me a drain that was still almost completely blocked with roots and told me the only option was to dig up my yard for thousands of dollars. Having just received such horrible news it didn't occur to me to ask, Why are there any roots left if the other guy did his job? That is where my education began. The fine print says they will open the drain not clear the drain, very different things. After doing some extensive research online and on the phone I discovered my mistake. The next day I called a local plumbing company that brought both the auger and camera. Within 15 minutes or so they pulled up a softball size clump of roots, had me flush a toilet then put the camera in to show me a completely clear drain. They recommended a very inexpensive foaming roots killer to use once or twice a year.
Now, I do want to say that both Techs were very pleasant, professional and probably doing exactly what they have been trained to do. My issue is with Roto-Rooter policy. Companies have to make money and I get that, but to take advantage of my ignorance on the subject using fear tactics is just wrong.
Not to mention they charged me almost 50% more than the local company did the next day and didn't solve anything. Be very careful and do your research. Make sure the Tech you hire uses both the auger and camera so they can confirm the work for you. Also, make sure the company you hire agrees to clear your drain if at all possible, not just open it.

The business is posted twice with slightly different names, but it's still the same crooked business.
Jay no longer works the field, he only handles the business side, leaving his less than reputable wife, and her mentally challenged son to destroy anything left of the reputation that Jays pluming had.
I hired them to replace my main water line, they were running average of all the bids. They guaranteed that I would be satisfied with their service and were very professional.... That's a lie!!!
One of the crew propped open the truck door and urinated in my driveway! I have a 15 year old girl that lives across the street and several girls behind us! Let alone, it was in my driveway!!!
Their best employee was bidding out work on my house, for off the clock extra work. Their manager, Jays step son, threw his trash out in my yard, and when I said something his response was it'll get buried when we fill the hole! Not the point!
They filled the gap where the new line comes into the house with window caulking instead of seam sealer or plumbers putty, they didn't reconnect my ground rod to my electrical panel and left me with deplorable excavating! My meter well is 6-8 inches below grade and I had a super high hump in my yard because they didn't finish!
Then Jays wife came to my house and demanded to be paid! Hey finish the job first! Let alone they broke the law and didn't seed the raw dirt that law required!
Stay away from them!
This is a terrible company
