Might want to advise your customers BEFORE work is started that you charge a 3.5% service fee if paying with a card.  I was taken by surprise to hear this after the work was already done and I had no other choice since I didn't have my checkbook or cash.  That's quite frustrating and not a standard practice that most businesses do.  Other than that, things were fine.  And, I didn't get my fabulous cookies either.  :(
