As an out of state rental investor it is extremely hard to find handymen and contractors who provide honest, high quality, and reasonably priced services.  After dealing with people who over charged for subpar work or even disappeared after getting an upfront payment, my only regret is not finding him sooner.  Kit has performed several repair jobs at cheaper rates than what I have gotten in the past.  Also only wants to get paid after his job is complete.

I'm a real estate investor and recently started investing in Indianapolis (I live in CA). I was searching for contractors to get bids on a full remodel for a fixer-upper I had recently acquired, and found Val here on Yelp. His bid was much lower than my other ones and he was very timely in going out and sending me an estimate, but I was still hesitant to use anyone who wasn't a word-of-mouth referral. It's sometimes risky working with someone you just found online, especially being out of state. But I decided to take the risk.
Val exceeded my expectations. He kept me informed every step of the way and texted me pictures of his progress during the rehab. There were several unexpected items that needed to be addressed which we weren't aware of initially, but Val handled them without charging any extra (unlike every other contractor I've worked with). I was never charged above and beyond the initial estimate.
Once completed, the house looked better and nicer than another property I had just remodeled with a different contractor at a much higher price. AB&F Construction is now my go-to company for all of my Indianapolis real estate investment projects. At the time I'm writing this, Val is already working on my next one!
It's hard to find a hard working contractor who is not only well-priced, but also honest and ethical. I highly recommend Val and AB&F Construction for any construction work you need done.
