This review is long overdue

Remember. Mike is my plumber as I stated from my original review.

I have call for his service 4 times since 2014

2015: I  had gas line installed on my property. I live in a neighborhood where there is no natural gas.  So I had to go the propane route.  Mike did the permit to city and constructed gas piping in accordance to the city and Hawaii gas specification.

Now I have a gas stove and gas water reheater. Im very please and a price you can't beat

2016:  I had a new HUGE tub installed in my house. It's like 2 1/2 feet deep. I so wanted a ofuro tub.  I had HUGE vanity sink and HUGE HUGE walk in shower steam room also installed.   I call Mike for services again. I needed him to do all the plumbing for those 3 features  I didn't want the contractor to do it because I only want Mike to do the plumbing.  The reason being is that he redid my entire piping in my house when I first I bought the house and I wanted him to do any new additional plumbing because I trust him plus I had some tile work still pending and Mike said he will finish up after I finish up the tile work. Great person and Outstanding plumber   Just FYI.  I still haven't done the tile work yet. Ugh!

2017: i called Mike again because I noticed that my common bathroom started to smell ripe.  He told me that the previous contractor  (this is before I met Mike) didn't install a toilet vent   Mike never touch those pipes before because that part of the house was unlivable at that time.  When I renovated a contractor did those pipes.  Now u know why I just want Mike to do my plumbing.   Never again I will let a contractor do my plumbing.

2017:  I bought a dishwasher. Just in case if I ever decide to rent my house.  I'm old school. Hand wash dishes and drip dry.  I just use the dishwasher for Tupperware storage.   Again I had to call Mike to do the plumbing for the dishwasher.  Man of his word finish the job in 3 hours.

Again this company great and very competitive pricing.  Thanks again.

Oh yeah as for the tile job. I still haven't done it yet.  I apologize to Mike and he said no worries just let me know when the tile job complete

I called a couple of plumbers on Monday morning, after discovering a leak in the ceiling.  The dispatcher from Pipe Masters advised that he would try to accommodate the trouble call.  While waiting for an update, my son and I opened the ceiling and found the leak.  In the mean time, the PipeMasters dispatcher called to advise that he was still trying to free up a technician.  I sent them a photo of the leak.  I was not sure but I suspected that the wax ring had worn out.  Arvin  the dispatcher called me about 15:30 and advised that a technician would be at my home with in the hour.  The technician arrived with a helper and immediately removed the toilet and reset the wax ring.  The whole process including the leak test was just about an hour.  
I am extremely satisfied with the repair.

If you need reliability and FAIR pricing call these guys!  They showed up ON TIME! Had my toilet rebuilt in an hour and charged me HALF THE PRICE I had paid Roter Rooter to do the same thing in the other bathroom!  Super polite, I will use them again!

They were the only ones who would give me an estimate straight up over the phone instead of someone coming out to tell me any pricing. They responded quickly to my messages and we arranged for a new water heater. Our old water was a 30-gallon and the day before it really broke the water was really hot and then the next day we didn't have any hot water (he said that normally happens). Our old water heater was 18 years old and water heaters usually last 10 to 15 years and 20 if you're lucky, so we knew it needed to be replaced right away. My research says that replacing a water heater will cost an average of 1700$ but can be anywhere from 1200$ to 5000$.

He took the old 30-gallon water heater, replaced it with the new 40-gallon water heater, and took the old one away. We paid 1222.33$. Based on the conversations we had, it could be more if he had to use all new parts, or if there are stairs (might need a second person with him), or if it's on Sunday (his day off), or if you use a card instead of a check.

We are happy with the pricing and we have hot water again. We recommend him, I believe his name was Whit,  thank you!

My friend has a condo, and I talked him into letting some friends stay there. Guess what...they had a little accident.  A Barbie got flushed. They called me asking what to do. We found Aloha Plumbing they were super helpful. Everything is as good as new. I'd highly recommend them.

Called Rick as a referral and I must say he is the nicest guy. I've called other plumbers before and they rushed me off the phone or said they were too busy and never returned my call. Rick made me feel very comfortable and listened to my concern I had about my toilet. He sent someone over within a couple days to check out the problem and snake my toilet.

I would definitely recommend them if you want fast and efficient service!!!!

I live in a building almost as old as me. Like me, parts of my unit are wearing out and malfunctioning. That was the story with the tub faucet. The original equipment was about 60 years old and the hot water went from a drip to a constant stream, with the heat creating stains and mold.

I asked the office who did a lot of work at our complex and the said Pono at MG Plumbing. It didn't take too long to get an appointment. The shower head was a mess too, so I asked Pono about a new shower head with a hose, which would make it easier for me. He said I could buy one, or he would. I asked him to get one for me. I have a mobility disability, so it's hard for me to shop in person. I looked at many options online, but ultimately I figured he would know best how to proceed.

He was on time and selected a moderately priced Kohler shower head. It attaches via a magnet, making it easier for me to detach and reattach. That's helpful for me not just because of the disability but also because I'm so short.

He finished the work quickly and even put up the new plastic liner and just-washed fabric curtain. Just taking down the nasty dirty moldy plastic liner and the fabric curtain which desperately needing washing was quite a struggle for me, so I was very grateful when he did the work for me when I asked.

He also prepared me for what would eventually come after this, once this fix wore out. (Let's just say I'd better start saving lots of money.)

Once the hot water stream was fixed, I was able to scrub the tub and bleach the mold away in bits and pieces over a couple of weeks, as my body allowed. Now the tub looks pretty darned good. Hopefully I look that good, too, as we both continue to age.

Martin is the best. We manage over 600 properties and we always need a good plumber. The trouble is the good ones always get busy and we have to find new ones. I hope that doesn't happen with Virtues Plumbing because they are one of the most reliable plumbers we have worked with. Estimates are reasonable and there's no surprises on the invoices. It's really hard to trust plumbers as some of them will give you a quote and then the invoice is a lot more or they will give you a good price on the first job and we notice that they charge a lot more on the next jobs. I've never gotten that with Martin and he does the job faster than any of the vendors we have used in the past!

Let me just preface this by saying that I'm rather handy myself and do most of the repairs for plumbing fixtures in the house. I'm not a professional by any means but to date it had worked out fine for me... and then our toilet started leaking and the laundry faucet was leaking and I was tired from work and other things so I finally told my husband, let's hire a professional. That's when we did some research and came across JR Service and Repair on Yelp and decided to give him a call. Boy am I happy we did, and in a minute you'll find out why.

Firstly, JR was really professional and knows his stuff. Over several days of trying to figure out a schedule that worked, JR accommodated our schedules and came in the late afternoon to do the repairs. Can I tell you how relieved I was that I didn't have to carve out time from my work day to be home for these repairs to be done? It's so nice to be able to come home from work and not stress out about taking time off.

Secondly, he came in, checked everything and got to work. Our toilet was running. I knew that it was likely because of how the actual fixture wiggled but I didn't know that the supply line also had a leak. Well, JR did and he not only repaired both issues and replaced the toilet bowl bolts, he cleaned up and caulked the base of the toilet. I've worked with plumbers in my day job who aren't that thorough so it was a breath of fresh air to see someone  really attend to the little details like that. To add to this, I probably wouldn't have caught the leaky supply line if I had replaced the toilet bolts and wax gasket myself and it might have burst and made a real issue so I'm SO thankful I hired a professional like JR Service and Repair to do this work.

Now on to the laundry sink. The faucet has had a slow leak for months now and he went in and fixed the internals of the faucet, saving me money not having to purchase a whole new faucet which was wonderful. THEN he asks if I knew the pipe into the wall was broken. Well no I had NO idea and if I had replaced the sink faucet myself, I might have never caught that. I noticed water on the floor of the room on the opposite side of the wall but always thought it was due to the washing machine leak that we used to have but since we just replaced the washer, I was surprised to see some dampness the other day. Well now we know why!

Bottom line, you need a plumber, hire JR Service & Repair. It was worth the money to have a real professional come out. He saved me probably thousands of dollars fixing the unforeseen issues in both repairs because I know I wouldn't have caught them and they both had potential to be really costly issues if they weren't caught when they were.

Hiring JR Service & Repair was the best decision I made. I'm about to call him to replace our kitchen faucet soon.

Quality Plumbing was quick to respond when I requested an estimate for a clogged pipe, and also provided me with an estimate!  Arrived same day within the window given and fixed the clog in the time estimated.  Great service and will call again for any future problems!

I called hone & business remodel for my house total renovation and the owner of the business came to help me.  His name is alex,  he was very helpful and prompt in getting me set up with an engineer for drawing require to get permit.  The engineer was an in house and the price giving to me was very affordable compare to other contractor that I have came to estimate.  The estimated price for the construction was very reasonable and had more allowances then other.  I would recommend this company to any one, to have there house constructed.  They even answer the phone on weekend.

Got a decent quote from Jay.  Said he could be out between 7:30-8:00pm.  Great!  Asked for pics of my pipes, which I sent, then never heard from him again.  No, I can't make it tonight.  No Can I reschedule?  Just silence.  I even tried calling and he wouldn't answer the phone.  I could've spent that time finding a more reliable plumber.
