Thompson Plumbing Heating & A/C

I had Thompson plumbing and heating install a new propane furnace and a heat pump. They were quick and efficient and any questions I had were quickly answered. The install went smoothly and they finished the job in one day. Everything was sized appropriately and so far we've been able to heat our house with only the heat pump. Looking forward to how well it cools this summer.

This company came as a second opinion from my insurance company and just did a mess in our furnace area, didn't clean anything , left a mess everywhere and the part that they were inspecting didn't look damage now it looks broken.

I only gave them one star because I have to give them something, they don't even deserve that.

First of all we had Thompson Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning install a Furnace and Air Conditioner for an addition we had built 23 years ago. We had to replace our furnace last year, no fault of theirs. A furnace that lasts 22 years is pretty darn good I would say. The problem we had with the furnace is that it was a 90% efficient furnace that needed a pipe drainage to let the condensation escape from the furnace. They did have one, but they let it deposit water under our crawl space where the main beam is that held up our kitchen floor. Our floor is not level now and we will be tearing the whole kitchen out to make it right. My husband had to put pvc pipe to allow the drainage to go outside where it should have been in the first place.
On to the air conditioner. We were having troubles with it blowing fuses in the beginning. They came out and fixed it so it would not do this. Without our knowledge they put two copper tubes where there should have been fuses so that it would not blow anymore. Just today we find out that they should have used wiring that was rated for 40 amp and they used wiring that was rated for 30 amp. The air conditioner is on it last leg, but again one that lasted 23 years is pretty good. What is scary is that our house could have caught fire and we would all be dead!!!!! Do not use these people to do any Furnace or Air conditioning work. Another problem is that if our house would have caught fire and if it was to be noted that the faulty wiring for the air conditioner caused it, our insurance would have not paid a claim to have our house rebuilt.

I had Thompson come out to look at my mother in laws Generator, it would not start. The tech came and try,ed to start it on manual as i did with no luck, I told him I put in a new spark plug and that did not do any good either. So he pulled the spark plug and did a compression check on the engine, showed low compression. Right away he said looks like you will have to get a new Generator and quoted 6800.00$. Even though we already had all wiring, transfer box from previous Generator. I called someone else to look at it and right away he took valve cover off and checked the valves with were to tight causing low compression. Readjusted valves and Generator started right up. Cost for that service was 75.00$ and has been working fine. Thompson's service was 200.00$ for nothing, almost got taken by this company,  to say the least I will never call or recommend this company to any one! Had to give a one star to write review, but for me they are a NO STAR!

Thompson's installed a 3 ton central air unit at my house.  They are reliable and honest.

I got 6 bids from six different companies for the job Thompson's was not the lowest but they  and gave me the most confidence.  This is a local company with local employees and I would happily recommend them.

They drive American made UAW vehicles which supports me...therefore I support them.  It goes both ways people.  One guy who came for a quote from another company... drove a Toyota Tundra.  I told him politely because he drove a Toyota Truck that he was not eligible to make a dime off of me.
