Our main drain of our newly purchased home got backed up after heavy rain and our basement flooded. I wish I had called Roto-Rooter earlier. Other emergency plumbers didn't answer or said they could come between 9-11 am when I had called them at 2:40 am. My fiancé and I had to continuously use a Shop Vac to suck up water, fill up buckets, and run the water upstairs and out to our backyard. Per our realtor's suggestion, I called Roto-Rooter in the morning, around 7:30 am. I was told they could come between 9 and 11. The technician came at 8:30 am. He described exactly what the problem was and how he was going to fix it, telling me what he was doing the whole time. In about an hour, he fixed the clog and was on his way. He did have some difficulty with his equipment but still finished the job and worked on his equipment outside, and told me he wanted to get me back to my day as soon as possible. Again, I really wish I had tried to call them much earlier as we spent 12 hours doing the whole Shop Vac/bucket thing. I would definitely use Roto-Rooter's services again, and I had a good overall experience. We also have a 90 day warranty with this service, which I assume would cover if we had another backup within 90 days.
