Reviews
I'm not sure I've ever had a more positive experience with a service company. When I called to schedule a non-emergency appointment for a plumber and an electrician, the woman on the phone apologized that they didn't have many availabilities left that day, but we could try to make something work. It was incredible - most of the other guys make you wait at least a week before they can schedule your appointment.
Streamline does an incredible job of communicating with you about your appointment - there is a reminder email, a reminder text, and then the technicians let you know when they are 30 minutes away. The email/text the day before your appointment includes the name of your technician and a photo, so you know who to expect.
I had an appointment first thing in the morning, and my technicians were both there precisely on time. I had some basic work that needed to be accomplished, and some questions about other potential issues in the home, and both technicians were extremely knowledgeable, very patient, and very friendly. The pricing was, I thought, extremely fair, but most of all, it was completely transparent. I was told ahead of time about what each service would cost, given options for levels of service - a quick fix, or a more permanent solution, and felt I was very much in control of how much I needed to spend. The experience was professional in every way, and I can't recommend these guys highly enough.

I called them to repair my hot water heater. The technician recommended replacement so I paid $4400 for the the new water heat. The tech saw fit to meddle with my shower and broke my shower water level. He offered the fix the lever HE broke for $500. I refused. The company called me and offered to fix it but I haven't heard anything back in over 2 weeks. They aren't returning my attempts to resolve the situation. I went to Lowes and bought the replacement and did it myself for $40. This is how a veteran owned business treats fellow veterans.
My outside faucet was running despite having the hose bib gauge turned off. I tried to fix myself with items from the hardware store but quickly realized my hose bib was a soldered connection, not screw-on. This was the first issue I've had to contact a plumber for since purchasing my house so I scoured Yelp and BBB ratings to determine who to use. I'm glad I did because Streamline didn't disappoint! Chad arrived promptly at 8 am, my scheduled service time. He made sure I was informed that the charge would include the trip fee of $79 (which was disclosed when I made the appointment) and a flat fee for the fix. After looking at the hose bib, he determined that there were two options to fix and gave me the price for each. He let me know that there was a potential that he would have to cut into my dining room drywall to access the pipes if he could not solder on from just outside. He was indeed able to fix from just the outside which saved me some money and also from cleaning up and patching a huge mess! Chad was friendly, courteous and knowledgable. I would definitely use him and Streamline again and will be sure to recommend this company to anyone I know in search of a plumber in the area.

I woke one morning and had no hot water. Went into the garage to take a look at the water heater and it was leaking like a sieve. Grabbed my phone and called the closest plumbers - Streamline!
They answered at 8:00 am and were here in two hours. Had a nice tankless water heater installed and working by the end of the day.
Was it the price cheap? No. But when is that kind of thing ever cheap. It was basically the same price we paid for a new tankless at our last home with a small time plumbing outfit. Basically, if your water heater goes out expect to pay some righteous clams more so if you go tankless, whoever you call.
But bottom line they saved the day and were professional and courteous through the entire process. Would I call Streamline the next time? Absolutely - every time.
I don't write a lot of reviews but I felt compelled not just to help Streamline but my fellow plumbing sufferers of woe.
Nothing worse than waking up to that kind of bummer. These guys made it bearable. And I felt like I was respected and got a fair deal. If you're reading this that means you are already hating it. Hopefully, this will help a bit.
Peace.
Bob Sweet took good care of us. He returned my call in about an hour and arrived on time within the 2 hour window promised just an hour later. He also called to let us know when he was about 30 min away. Our hot water heater was replaced expediently. Bob took care getting the old hot water heater out and the new in, up a big flight of stairs with a turn in it, and he left the work area tidy. He discovered the valve and bladder that regulate water pressure into our house had failed, a condition which could have damaged our brand new hot water heater, left unaddressed.
Streamline was wonderful to work with. They scheduled both the plumber and electrician to arrive at the same time to do estimates. The electrician was able to fix our flickering light fast and was very polite. The plumber was trustworthy and provided us with advice and a quote for the labor. It's great to feel like you're working with a reliable and trustworthy company. We will definitely use them again!
First blazing hot day of the season, A/C goes kaput and who came out withing hours? Streamline. I called all over the place got the run around and the next week routine but I found from the first phone call to the repair dude All to be courteous and professional. turned out to be a switch thing TG. Oh, it was the capacitor. My bill was $335 + change and I was told I could have gotten cheaper. Really? I couldn't even get my calls returned and my house was 90 degrees so to me it was a great deal. Had it all fixed in an hour.

Called about having no hot water. Plumber was here in under an hour. Great guy. Very friendly. Had new water heater installed in under four hours.
Best service call ever!
My elderly mother had a problem with a toilet that wouldn't flush.
The person they sent out tried to sell her a new toilet, claiming this toilet is broken!
I imagine they do this to all senior citizens thinking elderly people are stupid. Before the paid $900 for a new toilet I came over and with an ordinary plunged unclogged the toilet.
These people are a rip off who take advantage of elderly people!

Called these guys when pipes froze near the hot water heater. When plumber arrived, the pipes had already thawed, but he checked on it and came up with a ridiculous $1000 quote to replace some parts on it. Would have cost the same to put in a new heater. Took him an hour to analyze the issue, another hour to write up the quote. Needless to say, I did not have them do the 'heater upgrade'.
I know others have given this company great reviews, however, I must submit my own experience.
I made the decision to cancel the family plan we bought from them. They accepted Email as a valid form of notification. We contacted them 4x about getting a refund. We were told that it needed to be reviewed. What is there to review. We cancelled in writing and did what we were supposed to do. We were also told that the person who issued refunds was out and would be back on such and such day. We would call back and that person was not there and she would be back at such and such day. That happened every time we called. And that she was the only one who could review and process the cancellation. Finally we decided to refute the charge through our bank.
I can't say enough good things about the service I received. Trevor was professional and explained potential options and pricing for each option. He worked quickly and efficiently and even provided some information about my water heater as it is eleven years old. I would definitely recommend Streamline Plumbing and Electric!
I cannot recommend these people to anyone. My whole experience with them just makes me feel like they are not trustworthy. I initially called them out to quote me a price on a new hot water heater because my hot water had some mineral deposits in it. The guy looked around and said he would send me a quote soon. The next day the hot water heater started leaking. Water was coming from my attic into the closet below and I was in trouble. This should have been my first warning to go with somebody else, as it is obvious to me that his poking around contributed to starting the leak. However, I called them and they sent someone out and did a same day quote and got to work right away. The job ran into some problems. They broke a pipe, cut a hole in a wall to repair it, and then covered it up with a plastic panel that looks pretty shoddy. They didn't finish the job and had to come back twice to get everything set up correctly. Even after all of that, they didn't replace the leaking pan that was under the hot water heater. That just seems like it should have been part of the work and feels neglectful. However, the most frustrating part is that they didn't provide me what was initially quoted and agreed upon to my satisfaction. We asked for the ability to adjust our hot water from our closet so we didn't have to go up to the attic to do so. They said they could do that, but then didn't. They also said we could adjust the water temperature over 120, but it doesn't go any higher. It's just not the product we were lead to believe we were getting, and that is very disappointing. Our water is lukewarm at best and our water pressure has taken a nosedive with this new heater.

They charged me $432.76 to replace a 68.50 part in my HVAC unit and a blown fuse. Will never use them again. A couple of weeks later I ended up having to buy a new unit anyway and they quoted me $1100.00 more than 2 other companies. Glad I did not go with them!

Tom was extremely helpful for me. He was at my house within an hour. He was extremely knowledgeable - he's been doing this for 38 years and you could tell. He helped me with all of my problems and was great at helping me avoid problems in the future. Also really personable and easy to talk to. Went out of his way to explain the problems with me and make sure I understood what was going on. Very impressive!
Had Tech. Dennis W. He was very professional and very knowledgeable. I had a problem with my oven not heating. Dennis pinpointed the problem and fixed it within a short period of time. Even took a picture of the wiring problem and explained to me exactly what had happened. Dennis was very thorough in figuring out what could have been the problem. I now have a working oven and feel very comfortable about the work done by Dennis. Very satisfied customer! Also, was able to get an appointment in just 2 days, and I was notified approximately 30 mins prior to Dennis' arrival.

I have a toilet I needed reseated but needed to know how much I would be looking at paying due to upcoming major expenditures. I tweeted and called and could not even get an idea of the cost. I understand you can't give me an accurate quote over the phone, but I would think you have a base cost for everything and could tell me at least how much I would be looking at. Instead you say you have to send someone out, only to see its a standard job and tell me it's going to cost $267 and you'll waive the $79 service fee. Given the choice I have to shell out $79 just for having someone drive out and tell me how much it will cost. I paid $79 just to find out I couldn't afford to have it done, when if someone could have told me on the phone even a lowest possible price I could have saved $79. I was pleased with service before, but now I just feel like I made a mistake calling and paid $79 for it.

Great service!
Streamline was awesome. I needed a new water heater and they worked with me to answer all of my questions, talk to me about my concerns, and figure out what the best options were. Chris and Amber were professional and friendly throughout the entire process and took care of everything without a problem. They even took pictures of everything so I didn't have to crawl through my crawlspace to look at what they installed.
Their prices are on par or a little cheaper than most other competitors in the area including Home Depot (I got 4 different quotes for the work). This kind of work isn't cheap but you get what you pay for.

We received wonderful service from Streamline Plumbing and Electrical! We needed weekend repair of a burst hot water line running from our water heater. The technician, Chad, showed up exactly on time and was professional and courteous. After examining the problem, he explained and priced the various repair options. He fully explained what was involved with each option. Chad made the repairs I specified in a neat and orderly fashion. We were very pleased with the end result. I will definitely use Streamline for future plumbing needs.

Yesterday at my salon I had no hot water and a clogged drain. I called streamline plumbing. Mike the owner personally came to help me. He was very quick, professional, and knowledgeable. He suggested several options to help fix my problem. He was so nice. I recommend streamline plumbers they are THE BEST!:)
While they did a very good job, and fixed my issues completely, I was never given any pricing information. Other than the $79 dispatch fee, I was not told about the Flat-Rate pricing until after completion. I could have asked for this upfront, I suppose, though it did create a bit of sticker shock when the bill was produced.
I called Streamline Plumbing for a second opinion for a large plumbing job. The first plumber (from another company) did not fix my issue and gave me a quote for a major update of all my plumbing - I live in a old house. I told Matt my issue of poor drainage and that I was seeking a second opinion. He could not have been nicer or more helpful. He was knowledgeable and polite and had better equipment to diagnose AND fixed the problem unlike the previous company. Alan also came to the job to assist and was just as polite. These two were really great and I would call them again and recommend them to a friend for sure! They really helped me fix a really bad plumbing situation and I am grateful.
I am giving Streamline 1 star, the service guy Josh was nice, BUT BEWARE.
I had a leak coming from my vent in the downstairs bathroom. He did a complete service telling me my coil and compressor was bad. I do have a warranty on my unit. But he said the parts are hard to get...well. I couldn't believe that both had been bad, The AC unit only 7 yrs old.
I called a Plummer the next day, Not the AC unit at all leaking water or condensation like he said.
It was my toilet ring not sealed right upstairs....so from almost $5000. bill that I knew was not sounding right... cost under $200.00 for a completely different problem
Please anyone that uses this service please get another opinion before you get into something thats not broke......

Consumers, beware. I recently paid Streamline to install a new water heater -they did charge more than their competitors to do this type of work, but they had good reviews and I figured I was paying for better quality and better service. Fast forward 30 days later to a Friday evening when I came home to discover my brand new water heater was leaking pretty profusely. I called Streamline and was told a technician would call me back within 15 minutes. Fast forward 3 hours, and no one had called me back. I then called another 10-12 times that evening and night, only to get the same response every time.
Note - this is their answering service that picks up the calls and is otherwise removed from the company. There is no one at their actual office who can answer the phone and put you in touch with someone.
The next day, someone finally calls me back and sends a technician out to me. This was after my water heater had been pouring out water for 16+ hours. Although they advertise on their website that they are open 24 hours a day - this is simply not true and is good ole false advertising. They are a 9 to 5 company, plain and simple.
A technician finally comes out to find that a part had cracked on my new water heater and needed to be replaced. He says this is due to the cold weather since it is an outside water heater and I would need to pay to replace it since it would not be covered under warranty. Funny how my previous 12-year old water heater withstood much colder winters, and since my new water heater had been installed, there was only one night that even got below freezing temps. So I'm not sure if they don't know how to properly insulate outside water heaters or if they are just using substandard materials, but either way, I just don't buy that cold weather caused this problem.
After going back and forth, they agreed to not charge me for this repair but told me if they had to come out again for another cold weather fix I would have to pay for it. So even though I just paid $2,400 for this brand new water heater, they're telling me their warranty is basically worthless and they don't plan on standing behind the work they did.
Finally, I have been trying for the past 2+ days to get in touch with a supervisor or someone at the company to tell them about this experience in hopes they would remedy the situation and make it right going forward. No such luck.... If you are hoping to speak to someone at this company, you'll have a hard time finding anyone. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with any type of home repair service, and I cannot warn enough against using this company. They are twice as expensive as their competitors, perform substandard work, and do not stand behind the work you pay them to do.

Had a late night burst pipe. Water gushing everywhere. Called Streamlines emergency line twice.. Left message twice. Never a call back. So much for emergency service! Would give zero stars if rating system allowed.
Streamline worked me into their schedule (next day) to take care of some electrical problems. Everyone I had contact with was friendly, helpful and professional. They arrived when they said they would (and even gave me a call when they were on their way). Dennis W. worked quickly to diagnose and fix my problem and gave me a quote before doing the work. I would absolutely would use them again and do recommend them.

We purchased Streamline service to fix the blocked sewer problem, first time in January, but two months later, it was blocked again at the same spot, so we have to ask them to come back again, each time we were charged about $650. Couple days back, it was blocked again at the same spot, so eventually we asked city to check if the main sewer line has issue. We were very shocked and angry when city technician told us the issue was at city sewer line, the blocked spot is right at the connection between city and our house, Streamline should let us know and tell the truth, not by cheating to earn their business!!!
I was very happy with the service that this company provided. It had to be one of the easiest jobs ever performed but the approach to the customer was perfect. I received a call 10 minutes before their arrival and they arrived 10 minutes later! I had some electrical issues which were described to me in detail leaving me with multiple suggestions on how to proceed. Nothing was forced and I didn't have a feeling that someone is trying to up-sell me on anything. I have to say that the price seemed little bit high for the type of job but it was my decision to move forward. I also have to mention that I was positively surprised when I saw protective footwear on the technician before he walked into my house- this should be the standard but unfortunately is not. I was provided with a quote showing all the issues with a price next to them with the ability for the job to be performed at the same moment. Overall this was a very good experience and I would recommend this company to anybody. I had my share of vendor experiences and this was the most pleasant thus far!
Fred was awesome. He fixed our sink, checked our water pressure and checked water heater. Only charged a minimum to do all this. We will be switching all of our maintenance to this company when our contracts are up.
This service gets a mixed, but mostly positive, review. The one big negative was that the technician was 2 hours late! The good news is that they did a good job of keeping me informed, and technician Daniel C did a great job!
Not only did I receive exceptional service from Matthew but this may have been the single best home repair experience in my life. Matthew was prompt, courteous, and engaging. He took the time to explain what he was doing, why he was doing it and went even to go so far as to demonstrate to me how the repair was actually being done. I can't recommend his service enough.

This company installed a back flow preventer on 7/22/19 as required by the city of Durham. Matt did an excellent job but the company was suppose to set up the appointments for the two city inspectors and just got off phone with company and they said they have no control with the inspectors. I called the city of Durham and left message to find out when the inspectors will come, call etc. Half the company did the job at a price of $1,241.63 and I don't know if this is fair or not, but the other half that was suppose to set up appointments leaves a lot to be desired.
Professional staff and reliable. They were able to work my issue into their scheduling last minute, diagnose the problem, get the parts and fix it in short order. Greg handled the call and did an excellent job.

Not a fan. Prices are way inflated but I was without water and was desperate. They replaced 1 well pressure tank and a secondary small water tank attached to my water heaters. Price = $2200. Took 2 guys about 3 hrs. My insta hot water still didn't work and they said they could come back and replace that for $750! Turns out they had failed to bleed the lines and there was air in the line. Once I ran the air out, it worked again. Then they sent me an estimate to replace (as preventive maintenance) both my 12 year old water heaters which were working just fine. They are nice and polite but I felt completely taken advantage of. Prices are not negotiable so don't even try. The technician will tell you he has no idea how competing their prices are. Right! They have these sappy trucks emblazoned with, How can we make you smile? I'll tell you how, charge a fair price, be honest, do your work thoroughly and don't try to sell unnecessary services. To be fair, the work they did perform was fine but I'm not convinced I even needed both tanks. I will not likely use them again.
As other reviewers have said, Steamline's services are not cheap! However, price is relative as plumbing services are never going to be cheap. So I deducted 1 star because my father had something similar done to his shower at a significantly cheaper price. However, my situation was different, so I went ahead w/ Streamline anyway. At Streamline, you are paying for the professionalism and accuracy. From start to finish was a breeze. I was able to get an appointment quickly and easily by calling. The technician arrived within the scheduled timeframe, and they even texted me a picture of the technician when he was on the way! This was a huge plus for me, as I had taken off work the previous week to meet another plumber (whom I knew would have been cheaper) and he never showed up! Also, the technician was upfront, efficient, knowledgeable, and neat. He went over and beyond by checking some other things for us at no extra charge. Mostly importantly, my shower is fixed and even better than before.
They will come to your home and look at the job and tell you there is a $79 fee for coming out and giving you an estimate then they send a estimate via email 5 days later for $3500. I then call another company that did the same job for $1200. Buyer BEWARE
Be very aware of this business. I had a clogged drain and called them...they sent a salesman to my house for a $69 fee and wanted over $2000 to fix it...I then called Cary Plumbing and they fixed it for $100 total! I called Streamline and requested a refund from the owner and never got a response!
Very impressed. Water heater was rusting and leaking, needed replacement. Called them at 8:30 a.m. along with several other companies. Of the first two who would give me a quote, they were the cheapest. They turned up on time, explained my options to me, removed the old tank, installed a new one and by 1:30 we were all done. Made no mess and the new tank works just fine. Great job Eddie and Ken.
Other's hadn't even called back by then.
This is how to treat customers A+. I will use them again if needed.
Excellent customer service!
Streamline was more than accomodating to our schedule. They were prompt, courteous, and professional. We will continue to use them in the future.
Called about a leak under my sink. Jason was my technician and said I needed a new garbage disposal, that it was cracked and a said I needed new faucet as well and quoted me an outrageous cost to install the garbage disposal. I decided to wait, my brother replaced the faucet and NO more issues. I would have been out hundreds of dollars had I listened to him and had the work done.
We had to have some HVAC work and plumbing work done. Both the Plumbing team and HVAC team showed up on time, explained the work very well (including showing up pictures of issues - both before the work was done and after) and completed the work on time. Their prices were very fair and they were super professional. We are completely satisfied with their work and would recommend to others.

Called streamline for an estimate to replace both hvac systems in my home. I was very specific about available time to come take a look. 5 min before appointment the tech calls and says he's gonna be an hour late. I had already rearranged my schedule to fit the appointment. A prior call to streamline they were supposed to come out for a check up on my units and they called then to say they needed to reschedule. Streamline does not believe in punctuality. There are to many hvac companies out there to sit around and wait on one that cannot keep the appointment time.
Made an appointment to get some low pressure issues with my sinks and shower checked out. Tracy booked my appointment and was very nice - she gave me a 2 hr window that the plumber would arrive in. The morning of the appointment she called to let me know he was on the way - earlier than I expected, which was great. Matthew was very courteous and didn't mind my crazy barking dog that bothered him every time he had to go outside and come back in. Anyway, he solved the problem quick and changed a valve in my shower and now everything is great. Even gave me advice on another issue I had and was super professional. Would recommend highly. Glad to have a plumber I can trust!
I had an outdoor faucet that needed to be replaced as it was broken. The replacement works great and the work was top notch. They had to move my hot water heater away from a wall in my garage (they moved it back afterwards) to complete the replacement. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that the cost to move the hot water heater was rather high. I'm happy to have the problem fixed but it seemed rather expensive to me. I would still recommend the service.

A crew came out to perform a routine annual check-up and flush our tankless water heater for the 3rd year in a row. The crew of 3 plumbers and electricians thoroughly checked the whole house and identified several serious problems needing attention. They were able to fix the ones I asked them to on the spot and gave me an estimate for the one I want to wait on. They solved my problem of flickering canister lights. Jerry, Michael, and Mike were very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and competent. I have the utmost confidence in their work and highly recommend them.
Just don't.
Their family plan is complete garbage.
We were highly recommended to them because a neighbor knew the owner.
We bought into the family plan with what was supposed to include some special discount or priority service.
We paid $20 a month membership that included two maintenance visits per year.
Our regular maintenance service appointment was delayed twice because other members had emergencies- fine, we get it.
But when our service day came there was a small part that needed replacing. This $20 part that was replaced in less than 5 minutes and they charged us $235. The family discount barely covered tax.
When we questioned it we were given a litany of excuses and whining about how expensive it is to run a business on top of being told that was the cost of a service call!! But we prepaid this appointment. This was an upsell situation. This was not a service call.
We didn't call because the part needed to be replaced, we had a prepaid appointment as part of our plan.
More whining about how their prices are in line with the industry..Yeah? Then I can call anyone to over charge me without paying them a monthly fee to be part of their family. No thanks!
They don't care about smiles. Don't fall for the gimmick.

Mike handled my emergency water leak calmly and professionally, cleaning up afterward.
Streamline got him there the same afternoon.
What more is there to stay.
Called Streamline Monday after a large, regional company gave me a ridiculous quote to install a garbage disposal. The front office was great and got me scheduled the very next day for a consultation and, if I wanted, on the spot service.
Jerry came out first to take a look at the electrical. After he was done, he gave me a variety of options. There was no doubt in my mind that, price aside, Jerry's knowledge and expertise far outweighed the other company I had spoken with. So, I made some decisions and Jerry went to work.
After Jerry was done the electrical, Ed came by for the plumbing and install. Like Jerry and the front office, Ed was a gem, friendly, knowledgable, and thorough.
I hate looking for plumbers and electricians. Thanks to Streamline, I'll never have to again.

Pricey, but thorough. Get an estimate over the phone, otherwise if they come to your home you will have to pay at least the $79 service fee. I had a couple toilets that needed new flushing mechanisms and to rebuild them cost over $200 each! But they came within two year warranty, so that's what you're really paying for.
