Lester's Plumbing Service

I came home on Wednesday evening at 11PM and heard water dripping where it should not have been.  I discovered I had a major water leak near input to the house after the well pressure switch. I shut the well pump off.

I started calling 8AM on Thursday and got a voicemail with first company and a picked up call with Lester's on my second.  Brandon said they could get here between Noon and 2PM.  Got a call about 10AM that said the morning service call was more involved than anticipated and pushed the window back an hour.  Got a call at 1:30PM that they were on the way.  Met Lester's at 2PM. At 2:46PM my problem was solved and water was  turned on again at my house.

Other than the competent professional well prepared technician, I was impressed that they picked up the phone and communicated a repair window.

They do good work, but be sure to get a price quote when they are with you on-site before you have them do the work.  They did 3 tasks for me and presented me with a whopper of a bill.  Lester talked through it with me but basically said it was my fault for not asking for a price quote up-front.  I could have done 2 of the 3 tasks myself and saved hundreds of $$.

So I recommend them for their work, but be careful to ask for a price quote or you may end up shocked like I was.

Repaired my leak but the tech was Super rude, tracking muddy clay across my brand new carpet and telling me he could clean up the mess he made from the repair but that it would cost extra. He was just smug and there are plenty of plumbing companies out there so if you don't appreciate my business then I won't call you again!

Good folks who know what they're doing. I've used them on several projects and been pleased with the service and responsiveness. Their prices are very much in-line with other local, quality plumbers. They'll get the job done for you!

Exceptional customer service and very friendly all around. My family and many of my friends have been using Lester's Plumbing Service for years. As a native to the Triangle, they are the best plumbing company in the area and have gone above and beyond in every occasion. Even during the height of COVID, they were extremely responsive and timely. I recommend Lester's Plumbing to anyone. They can do it all!

This has been bothering me. One of my Delta master bath vanity faucets was leaking underneath. I called Lester's and Brett came out. I asked him to fix it, but he said it couldn't be fixed. They originally cost between $400.00 and $500.00 each. Then he told me if I bought one new faucet it might not match the color of the other one that hadn't been leaking. So I bought two new less expensive faucets. The day Brett and Brandon came out to install the new faucets, they left behind all the trash from the new faucets, but took the two more expensive faucets they removed. The new faucets and service cost me almost $700.00. Since that time, I've been told by 4 different knowledgeable people that the faucets could have been fixed.

We asked around and got several recommendations for Lester's.  Brandon came out and looked at the jobs I wanted done (install inline water filtration system, replace a 17 year old hot water heater, and install a garbage disposal) on a Monday, and told me he would email the quote on Wednesday, Thursday latest.  Nothing from him for days, so a week later I called and left a voicemail message on his phone.  Waited another week...nothing, so I called and left another message.  Waited another week and nothing, so I left a third voicemail message.  It's been about another week later and still no response, so I have no choice but to move on and look for another plumber to tackle my jobs.  It's a shame.  I really thought he would be my plumber for life, but clearly he is not dependable.  Buyer beware...

These guys are crooks. Two weeks ago Bret came to my parents house, fixed 3 leaky faucets within about 30 minutes, and then charged them $450. They provided no breakdown of the fees other than the bogus 2 lines in the picture I posted. My mother called to request a breakdown of the fees and they came up with a shady answer. They tried to convince her that other places charge much more and Most people don't ask for a quote. That's totally inappropriate and highly unprofessional. It's really messed up to take advantage of a woman at home by herself. The owner offered to take 10% off the price. As Ryan W said in his review, the owner is completely unhelpful and completely unapologetic and blames the victim.  I'm going to make sure she gets reimbursed for this.

the best service i have ever had from a plumber. I have just a historic home built in 1901 and there were some major plumbing issues to say the least. being a brand new mom and new to the house wife lifestyle this was a huge stress/burden for me. we had no hot water and our shower didnt work. Lesters came out right away. their tech Brent was amazing and so kind. he went above and beyond to find out what the actual problem was. he even showed me in the crawl space and with his tools! he took the time to explain so i could understand. I was given my quote for repairs upfront and was given a ball park range so i wasn't blind sided. customer service was fantastic. I would highly recommend to anyone. I will definitely use them again when I need a plumber!! Thanks again!!

We've used Lester's a number of times and have always found them to be responsive, dependable, and respectful of our home. Techs are polite and do a very clean job. Highly recommend.

Lester's came to my neighbors house and replaced the main water line ,in the process they cut my cable/internet line even though it had been  marked  prior to there arrival .

We have had a running toilet for several months now, and we finally got around to calling a plumber. My husband called and explained the problem to the dispatcher and she told him she would put a plumber on the phone so he could walk us through the problem and potentially help us fix it without them having to come out (our problem was a common one). The plumber walked my husband through everything and let him know the solution, and we chose to have him come and fix it for us to make sure it was done correctly. However, a more handy person could have done this themselves. I think that is an excellent show of customer service!

They called 20 minutes before arriving just as they said they would. The plumber (Brandon I think) confirmed the problem and fixed it within 20 minutes.  The cost was exactly what we were quoted. There was no mess left behind. The toilet has run perfectly since.

Lester's Plumbing does good work. Michelle the receptionist was friendly when scheduling the appointment. I was told there was a $69 service fee but assumed that would not be charged if I had the work completed by Lester's as that is how it has always worked for me when I used other companies. On the day of service, I was called 20 minutes before arrival.

A written quote was not provided by my tech.  My oral quote did not include that service fee so I assumed again that it was included in the price. The final paperwork had the service fee added on to the quoted price. Even though they do good work but make sure to get an itemized written quote before any work is performed so that there are no surprise charges.I am happy with the work done, but I likely will use another company next time I need a plumber.

I've used Lester's on two different occasions and was very satisfied. Very timely, friendly and professional.

We have used Lesters Plumbing for years. They are comparably priced with competitors but do great job and have a great attitude.

We needed to troubleshoot some plumbing issues in our house that we purchased in 2018 (wobbly toilet, leaking bathtub faucet, shower leaking into downstairs kitchen ceiling) and contacted Lester's from Yelp on the recommendation of a family member. Brandon contacted me as soon as next day to discuss the items we were looking to have fixed. Each correspondence was personable, professional, prompt, and flexible as there were many times I could not speak on the phone so texting was offered as backup option. I appreciated the regular communication and even the ETA notifications prior to each arrival. Each step of the process was thoroughly discussed in detail and further clarification was quickly provided when requested. Even while working in the house on our plumbing issues, their work was not a distraction and was barely noticed. I am incredibly impressed by the service provided by Lester's and would recommend them highly to friends and family!

We called Lester's Plumbing yesterday, and they were able to come out on the same day and replace a kitchen faucet and fix a leak under the kitchen sink and a leak behind the toilet.  Brett is the person who came, and he was very polite and professional with my mother, who was the one home.  The price was very reasonable for the work done, as I had checked prices with other plumbers.  We would highly recommend this plumber.

I had an appointment with Brandon.  He did not show up at the appointed time and did not call.  I called him 90 minutes after the appointed time to find out when he would be coming and left a message on VM.  I have never heard from him.  Totally unreliable.  Deserves 0 stars.
