David is the most honest plumber I've ever met. He will charge you for what you need and will do it right. My bill was about half of what 2 others quoted me. He's been in business since 1982. Honesty, quality and affordable.   Glad I found this man!

We have tried so many times to get competent plumbers in Reno that did not cost a fortune.   Mostly what we got were expensive, flaky guys who actually took shortcuts and caused even greater expense down the road.
Then we found Dave Thiel -  not sure how we got so lucky, but this guy is a MASTER plumber and his prices are great!    He believes in being fair and reasonable with his customers and has been in business for decades.
He solved problems NO OTHER PLUMBERS IN TOWN could solve for us.

In a word - AWESOME!!!!!!

He is really busy, it is true, but if you are lucky enough to get on his schedule you will be a very happy camper.   For sure.

We also bought a Multipure Water Filter from him.   Works great!

I left a message for Dave this afternoon. He called me back in a couple of hours. He listened to my plumbing issue and spent a great deal of time thoroughly answering my questions. I am very happy with Dave and will do business with him in the future!

Dave has fixed two plumbing problems for us: 1) leak in the shutoff valve of the irrigation system and 2) a crack in a pipe in an outside wall (probably froze due to too little insulation in the wall). Both times he figured out the problem when other plumbers could not. Plus, he always called when he said he would, showed up on time, and charged fair prices.

Mr. Thiel was a hero last week when I needed a plumber to move forward on my kitchen cabinet install as there was a surprise mess when we pulled the old cabinets out. He was super fair, super nice, and did a fantastic job!

HONEST SERVICE!!! If you're looking for a plumber who provides good old fashioned service with integrity...look no further...this is the gentleman to use. On a Saturday a couple of weeks ago, my Dad inadvertently broke a valve causing the water to the entire house to be shut off. While my Dad was feverishly digging out the area where the valve was located, I called a few plumbers who wouldn't even come out for 3-4 days and one of them even gave a quote over the phone without even looking at the problem that would've broke the bank. My parents neighbor recommended Thiel Plumbing. Mr. Thiel came out almost immediately and had water running to the house again in less than an hour for under $100.

I called Thiel Plumbing after reading reviews on Yelp. I mainly intended to deal with low water pressure in the bathroom sink, but Dave Thiel dealt with that so easily and quickly, I asked him to help with other issues. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost to me of all the work he did.

When I lived in N. Calif., I had a valued list of honest, competent people to handle things house or yard related. My new list has Dave Thiel for any plumbing issues.

I would recommend David Thiel to anyone!  He was recommended to me by my mother in law and besides being incredibly honest and fare in his pricing, I was impressed with his response time and ability to come quickly and fix the issue we were having. With regards to pricing, he was far less than other plumbers that were also recommended to me, some with a minimum service call of $250 and our entire job with David did not cost that much. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a plumber!

I'm happy to post a review for Thiel Plumbing.  Today, after going to five different plumbing supply stores in Reno and none of them having the part I needed, I was walking out of the last supply store in Reno and noticed a van marked Thiel Plumbing.  I approached the person at the van and asked him if he knew where I could pick up this drain part I needed.  He took the time and searched his van and found the part inside a box. I asked him how much I owed him and he said nothing.  I asked him for his business card and his name is Dave Thiel, Thiel Plumbing.  It's sure nice to have an honest business person  assist when needed.  I would have had to go online and search and order this part, and Mr. Thiel out of his kindness looked and found it and didn't charge me for it.  I highly recommend if you are in need of plumbing service in Reno and want an honest man, contact Thiel Plumbing and I hope your glad you did.

We had 2 people come out and called three others. Thiel has the best price plus let my husband help to negate some of the price, he also unclogged a toilet that was clogged for a year despite us trying to snake it and putting the chemicals down it. He was awesome, I'm so impressed especially after talking to so many others.

I called him on Sunday afternoon. His wife answered and told me her husband would fix my plumbing problems the next day. Well the next day (Monday) he called to tell me that they're in Oregon!!! He said he'll come over on Tuesday morning. No show no calls on Tuesday!!! Nothing. I called 4 times to no avail. I left a message. No one returned my calls. He finally called back on Thursday. Four days after the initial contact. What in the world made him think that I would put up with plumbing issues for so long waiting for an irresponsible person like him is beyond me?
I called Friendly Plumbing on Tuesday. Lou showed up on time and took care of all issues in honest and professional manner. Happy with their service.

I have used Dave to install the sink in my kitchen . He has also done  some repairs he is great and very personable ,on the spot his knowledge of plumbing is exceptional.

Oh, wow. My water bill was off the charts and David came over the day I called and diagnosed the problem spot on.
The water company came and estimated the cost would be in the thousands.
David got right to work and literally dug a ditch and laid a new supply line for me in less than a week with limited inconvenience to me.
The price was well below what the water company said it would be.
I highly recommend Thiel for any job, whether it is one this big or just a small repair. Could not be happier with his service. I have multiple properties on two coasts so I do know what I'm talking about here. I have never had a nicer or more honest tradesman.

The day after New Year's, our sprinkler pipes burst, flooding the yard with massive quantities of icy water for hours.  We called and called plumbers.  Only Dave Thiel was working.

He rushed out at warp speed, handled the issue, and charged us only $10 for gas, because no repairs or replacements were needed.

We will be giving him a call this spring to get our sprinklers up and running like they should be.  He's honest, reliable, and won't beat you up with bells & whistles on the price tag.

I'd recommend Dave Thiel's plumbing service to anyone.

Dave was courteous and prompt! He called me back right away and came to put in a water line for our fridge the very next day. Pricing was very reasonable! Will use him again in the future!!
