The technician was a very nice guy and he did his job and had to go with the company's rate. But don't let the $25 service fee fool you. I had problem with the bathtub plumbing convertor. The guy came over, he had the part in his car, part that you can buy from Lowe's for +/- $20. He un-screw the part and put the new part and escrowed it, 60 seconds. $220.- Of course he gave me a coupon discount of $25 but still. Escrow and un-escrow a part for 60 seconds $220?1
As I said don't let the $25 fool you. Ask them about their rates first.
Silver State is a 5 star plumbing and HVAC company. Believe me, these people live up to their rating! Efficient, compassionate, organized, very pleasant to work with and above all, they GET THE JOB DONE!!
The service technician showed up with no mask no boot coverings. They charged me almost $600 to change the faucet valves underneath my sink it took him about 15 minutes. And in addition he put the wrong size valves in for the stuff I was using and told me you can go to the plumbing store and get an adapter. Afterwards I called a few other plumbing companies and they estimated about a $150 to change those valves so I was overcharged by him about 3 times the amount it should have cost. I will never use this place again
Avoid at all cost. water softener and reverse osmosis system ws to be in stalled and expressed concerns about a previous company used that was poor. water softener though overpriced has been ok, reverse system has cause lots of trouble. Over the past 18 months several plumbers and techs ahve been sent to no avail, i finnally got my guy to fix it they wont refund me and i dont want them to touch my systemn again obvious, as i have video of all the terrible work done under the sink, and it eventually cause a week of flooding an damange to the expensive work of my kitchen. Im done with them please avoid them.

This company has been providing service for our home since we moved to Las Vegas, 6 years ago. We have found their technicians to be knowledgeable and friendly and their pricing is reasonable. They always call to remind us to set up necessary appointments. They call the day before to confirm and always come on time.

I called to get them to check out my unit, make sure everything was running ok. My unit was running fine but I wanted to be proactive in case something needed replacing. Vince came out and before looking at anything asked if I had a home warranty. He said my compressor was running high and I needed a whole new unit due to the type of combo heating/cooling unit I have. Estimate $7,790...I was in shock. I've had no issues with it but he made it seem like I couldn't just replace the compressor which after I kept asking questions finally admitted you could just replace the compressor. He used some scare tactics on me but I said I'd think about. I called another company and they did a full checkup and said nothing was wrong with the unit. Shame on you Vince and the company you work for who may pressure you to make unnecessary recommendations and sales.
I've had the pleasure of working with Silverstate Refrigeration on several projects across the Las Vegas Valley over the years and that is why I've always called them when I've needed service at my home. They are always professional, arrive when they say they're going to arrive and I'm always thoroughly satisfied with the work that is done. I've even had the pleasure of recommending Silverstate to my neighbors who have been just as pleased. If you're in need of a new unit or repair of an existing unit, I definitely recommend this company!

silver state plumbing did a same day service on our leaky master bathtub faucet. Lionel was a plumber with 23 years of experience. He didn't have the faucet cartridge on the truck and had to find a place to purchase the item. He came back and fixed the problem in an eficcient manner. I thought the bill was a little high and I asked if they give a Senior discount or a Veteran discount and he replied with yes and took 10% off.

We had a free air conditioner checkup and the two technicians were both professional as well as knowledgeable. They gave us some good advice about our unit which did not any servicing and did not try any high pressure sale techniques. They were very honest and friendly; would highly recommended them.

We replaced both complete AC/Furnaces in our house this June. I had gotten 4 quotes on this work and chose to go with Silverstate. They were not the lowest price but were so much more professional and responsive than any of the other companies. The work was completed on the scheduled day and took a total of more than 8 hours. They had to enlarge the access port into the attic but repaired, re-plastered and re-painted it so it looked like new. Two days later, one of the AC units was acting up. I called them and within an hour, a technician arrived, made some adjustments and all has been well since then. Based on my experience with Silverstate, I would not hesitate to recommend them,
I would highly recommend Silverstate. I have used them numerous times for HVAC & Plumbing. With a last minute call on Friday they were out Monday to do plumbing repairs so we could close escrow on Tuesday, my buyers Valentine's gift to herself. I usually schedule ahead not last minute so I was grateful they could accommodate. They have been in business for years and stand by their work.

On 04/16/22 - Had Christopher R. replace sink and faucet in guest bathroom. Faucet was defective from manufacture and I was unable to get new faucet/or parts that same day. I advised Christopher to just leave the faucet in, until I received the other faucet in 10 days and I would call them back. He checked the faucet and said the few drops that were left was residual water. A few hours later, I left for the night. I returned around noon the next day (which was Easter). The water had been leaking all night - down the faucet, down the cabinet, on the floor and had made it to the hall. I called Silver State at 12:14pm and received there answering service. They said they would page them and have them call me. I called again at 12:38pm and got the answering service again. They said all they can do is page them again. I waited 2 hours before calling another plumbing company. I never received a call back that day. On Monday, I called the office and asked them if there was anyone working on Sunday and why no one returned my call. The lady who answered the phone said she would look into it and let me know. I also asked her to email me a copy of my invoice/receipt for the $805 of services done on Saturday. I did get my email, but I never got a call back from her .
**Really frustrating not being able to contact the company. Waiting hours for them to call back. Then trying to find another plumbing company 3pm on Easter to come out.
Our water heater busted in October and they replaced it. It broke about a week ago due to the control panel. Which is not under their control stuff happens. But we also got out garbage disposal fixed by them and we should have done it ourselves as it is now leaking all in our cabinets but their only available appointment is for Monday. What is the point of an emergency then? On top of this they overcharge for their supplies. They also had several plumbers come out for the same issue and every single one of them had no idea what was going on when they showed up. And we had to reexplain what the issue was every time. Which shows lack of communication amongst their company and employees. They also scheduled for one of their guys so fix the control panel on our water heater when their supply store was closed. That made no sense to me at all. To add to this their communication with dates for scheduled appointments is way off. They told us Monday one day and we didn't get a call until Wednesday and they had to reschedule because of some issues. Please don't waste your time and energy on these guys.
I purchased my house 09-20-2020 and have had trouble with the 2 air conditioners/heaters units. My 2 air conditioner/heaters went out on Friday so I called Silver State on Monday and Danny came and defrosted the barely working one so I could sleep. I found out the units were 30 years old. On Wednesday, today, Gammy and Johnny replaced the units and brought the wiring up to code. They replaced the thermostats did a complete check that everything was working correctly and made sure all areas were clean before they left. I checked with other family and friends as to cost of 2 complete units and they were amazed that Silver State was so honest and reasonable. They had in other states paid far more for lesser units and less work. I shall recommend Silver State to everyone. Several months ago they had installed a new kitchen faucet for me and I was well pleased with their integrity. Every person has been courteous and kind. I called Silverstate out for having no heat ... The service tech Robert T. Looked at my heating system his review stated that I needed a whole new unit ... Totaling $5,900.00 ... Well I wanted a second opinion .
So I called out another person and he did the same check and told me that it was only dirty contacts.. He cleaned them and I is now working perfect .
So in a nut shell I went from a $5,900.00 job to a simple hand shake . That cost me nothing . He tried to sell me a unit I never needed !!!! BOO ON YOU !!!
Highly recommend SIlver State HVAC! Very professional & knowledgeable crew. David Adams is really good at his job! make sure you hire more guys like him. My A/C unit is humming like a champ now! thanks guys!.
Please don't use this company because they use automated texting systems to spam you. Which is very similar to the robo calls we all hate to get too.

I had Silver State do several jobs for me in a commercial food and beverage operation the work itself was good and the employees seemed like they were well-trained but they are just extremely expensive so I rated them lower because of that only
Silver State was amazing. One of my units went down when it was 117° last year. I called Silver State and they were about a week out with service calls they were so busy in the valley. One of their owners drove 28 miles approximately to my house himself found out that I needed a new unit and within 24 hours they had it installed at my home.
It has been running perfectly for year now and the weather is back up into the hundreds thank you Silver State my family and I do not have to worry this summer.
Now for the best part, readers and reviewers be aware most bad reviews for a company are from reviewers that only review companies when something goes wrong. Very few people in this world know how to work on HVAC but they love to give bad reviews once it cost a lot of money to fix them. Don't listen to your neighbor, don't listen to your friend listen to Silver State air-conditioning to let you know if you need a new capacitor a new compressor or a new unit. That's why you called them in the first place.
First off they showed up in a mask Perfect! The toilet was having a running water issue, needed to have components replaced in. They fixed it ASAP! And also helped me with tricks to fix other toilets myself and encouraging me. I could do without a problem. I'm a girl so thought I might have an issue doing myself. Albert and Walter were kind respectful of house and gave great advice. Will definitely use em again!

I drive down the freeway morning and always see their vehicles. If their drivers are indicative of their skills, then Id say they are complete total morons.
The left lane is for PASSING and you shouldn't hog the left lane at a constant speed.
I called silver state due to Ac system not working properly. Vince was the tech that came out and looked at my unit. He was very thorough with his findings and gave me options to suit my budget. My unit was 15 years old and after Vince explained to me all that was going wrong with my unit, I decided to take his professional advice and not spend anymore money into my old unit system. Vince took great care of me by giving me a Competitive price and a quick installation. Since it was hot outside and my unit wasn't working, he even provided me a temporary indoor Ac to keep me cool through out the day.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart Vince for being such a rock star!

We have used Silver State for years and they always exceed our expectations. Our upstairs unit wasn't cooling, I called at 8:00 AM, they said they could send someone over between 10-11AM to diagnose the problem.
I got a text at 9:35 that my tech Juan Pogan was on the way. He was very honest, gave me all of the options, and how much each option would be.
He replaced the option I asked him to, it worked. He was done by 11:30 AM. He cleaned up after himself and was very friendly and professional.
I can't recommend this company enough, we have never had a bad experience with them.
The young man that came was very helpful and explained everything to us It was Juan I would give them a 5 stars
When we needed a new heat pump, Siver State gave us the lowest price estimate. Nick was very upfront about everything that the replacement would entail. We decided to sign the contract. Within a few days, Silver State called to set up the install appointment. The service techs were very professional and efficient. The new heat pump worked great.
About six months later, on a cold Sunday morning, the fuse unit in the attic blew and we had no heat. Nick made an immediate service call that day and fixed the problem- no charge. The next day, he sent a tech to check out the emergency repair and install a new unit--no charge. It is great to have a good, reliable company on your side for such an important requirement like heating and cooling!
It's never a good day to come home to a leaking 75 gal water heater. Silver State was able to quickly get it replaced. They also identified the damage that needed attention and suggested a remediation company. It took 6 months to be complete but that was because of the contractors (J&J) only reason for the 4 stars for Silver State was the cost.

Broken supply line to residential house over the weekend. I dug everything up and had the line exposed so that first thing Monday the crew from Silver State arrived on site, repaired the line, blew out the air and grit inside the building (so fauxets wouldnt clog), tested the system for additional leaks, backfilled the hole and were very thorough and professional. Since I'm not physically on-site, they texted me photos and updates and communicated with me the whole time.
I had never called them previously, but will in the future and highly recommend them.

I noticed My water heater started leaking water all over the garage. I called silver State. They were nice. Their guys showed up on time. They knocked off money because I'm a veteran so they got a military discount. Also the guy was here within a half hour and he sent out an install crew within 1 hour for them to get the job done. I highly recommend silver State refrigeration, HVAC and plumbing.

Silver State did refund my money. I never thought the owner would do this. So I give Silver State a 5* for this service. It is a BBB member or Better Business Bureau. There maybe misunderstanding but they will make it right for you. Silver State banned me from obtaining their business. I just felt bad since I do want their honest service now.
I Love these guys! I schedule my yearly tune-up with them (they are very good about calling to remind me). I also request Danny because he is such a great technician and always does a fabulous job! I have used Silverstate Refrigeration & HVAC over the years (had new AC and furnace installed) and have never had a problem with them or their service. I use them at my business as well. They came out last summer when my unit literally exploded from the high temperatures in July and worked on it until we were able to get back to business. Never underestimate what the technicians have to go through in the summer! These guys from Silverstate are real troopers! I had them put a new thermostat in at my business and had them install 2 new ones at my Mom's house as well. She was very impressed with them, too! So you can't go wrong calling these guys. They give you your money's worth! Thanks, Silverstate. Shout out to Danny!
I've had plumbing issues several times.
My home warranty is absolutely ridiculous on getting things fixed in a timely manner. I've given up and canceled my warranty after 9 years. Called silverstate they were at my house next day and helped us out emediatly. The best service I've received.

That Technician was JAMES .WOW...So glad to have James on the Job ! He arrives early and wearing his mask ! He took time to check all drains...He was able to solve our Problem that day ....He even helped Me Remove a dead Bird outside of our garage door....James went above and beyond! Silver State came out today to fix a problem with my heater. On time, professional and the heat is blowing out hot! I can't say enough good things about Nick, the tech who came out and did the repair. He is professional, explains the problem and fixes it quickly. Silver State is the best HVAC service provider in Las Vegas. I highly recommend them.

Needed an urgent plumber at my place of employment yesterday, and we called Silver State. And can I say...WOW! We received the absolute BEST service by Anthony. Once our service call was placed, Anthony arrived within the hour, and got straight to work fixing our plumbing issue. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. He is also super nice, and very knowledgeable about plumbing.
Silver State is top notch. If we ever have anymore issues down the road, we will for sure call Silver State.
I noticed my front yard was flooded as I was going to work, Tyler for Silver State came on time and diagnosed the problem and showed me that it was an irrigation problem and not plumbing without trying to bs or overcharge me. I'll be calling them for any and all my plumbing needs.
My water heater ruptured and was covered under warranty. Silver state was under their contractor list so I called them. I called them at 9 am and the dispatcher was able to get someone out at 12 pm.
The technician was very friendly, knowledgeable and super gung-ho. He tackled that water heater and was able to trade it in for a new one minutes before the store closed! It took about two hours for the install which I am happy it was done.
Only reason I am giving three stars is because the cost for labor was $600! It is my fault for not shopping around I guess. I hear that's a little less than how much it costs people to replace a water heater installed not under warranty.
Anyway, I was able to find a $50 off coupon on their website which brought it down a little.
My water bill doubled over the last few months. I finally broke down and called 2 plumbers. Silver State was one of them. Their initial price to have somebody show up was 25 dollars. I like that. They sent Nick over to check out what was wrong. Found out it was outside and it was cold water. Nick said that to determine exactly where the where the leak was. They would have to install a stop valve. Now the price changed and it still wasn't bad. They sent Chris over the next day. He found out (with that stop valve) that the leak was in the front from the sidewalk to the main by the house. They would have to dig all that distance and recipe it. He would also have to do stuff to the valves near the house. Yes the price went up again. And again it was reasonable. Chris started that day. He came back the next day and completed the job. He explained everything to me in layman's terms. Very informative. Thank you Nick and Chris and the office for their prompt service and keeping me informed through all of it. Karen Kantor
Yes, Amber, I know I have an AquaTherm system but the inspector you speak so highly of didn't have a clue about it. When I showed him the inside part of the system he said he had never seen that before in all his years.
So keep speaking so highly of a guy who didn't have a clue what kind of system I have. Maybe you can explain it to him, and not me. I know what I have.

Consumer beware, I thought they were a reasonable and reputable company, they came out to give me an estimate to install a faucet in my wet bar and a few other handyman type of plumbing repairs and the estimate was over 750$ they are insane! I'm in the wrong line of work obviously lol. I chose not to have the work done, so they've been harassing me with phone calls 3 times a day to collect 25$ service fee. I have no problem paying the fee but the rep literally just called again and expected me to drop what I was doing to give her payment over the phone. I don't think so! I told her send me an invoice and then I'll pay you, she still insisted on waiting on the phone till I checked my email for the invoice! Crazy!! Meanwhile, they never gave me a copy of the job estimate and expected me to pay for a job that maybe should cost around 200$ at the most.
I called to inquire about rates to have a tech come out and check out my system, and had the pleasure of speaking with Amber. She was so incredibly helpful and was able to give me some tips over the phone to remedy my situation without needing to have a tech come out first, and it worked! Maybe not a permanent fix, but it got my system working again for the time being. Although I haven't had to use their services yet, they will be the first ones I call when I do! Thank you, Amber!!
First service call--very disappointed. We had new HVAC system installed on March 3rd. The team suggested it was too cold to service the air conditioners and we should call them back to complete the installation once the weather warmed up. We called for an appointment on April 19th and we're given an appointment for between 1:00 -3:00Pm on April 26th. The time is now 4:00 PM and we still have not seen a technician. We have been provided updates throughout the day but the service still late. We hope this type of service is not indicative of what we can expect from Silverstate. Bob Dobbs
Service tech came out for routine maintenance on heating and air-conditioning unit give me a quote of $1300 to repair. Said it was fire hazard and safety concerns. Was very alarmed and concerned and wrote him a check for $1300. I then realized I needed a second opinion and had another company come out and said there was nothing wrong with my unit. Called Silver State back they wanted their $35 for the routine maintenance. Unbelievable will never use again do not recommend. Tech said it was fire hazard regardless of what is written on invoice. Showed me pictures and suggested I go on roof. Never implied it was optional repair but needed for safety.
They claim to be 24/7 called at night and didn't come until afternoon next day.
They immediately told me they couldn't do the repair I needed (they didn't look at anything) and began to give me a quote for thousands of dollars of repair they say they think I needed.
and to top it off they still charged me $60 for coming out.

I am having some work done in my backyard, I have a built in BBQ that is being put in and the water faucet was in the way and first I was going to have them put a hole in the back so I could use the water and today I decided to call Silver State Plumbing and I'm so happy I did. They sent a guy right out and his name was Tony, he was very polite and knew is job very well. I couldn't be more pleased on the job Tony did and if I ever need any plumbing done this is the company I'm going to call and ask for Tony. Thank you Tony for a job well done.

All the techs that came in were awesome and fun to joke around with. They originally came to put a tray under our washing machine and we ended up getting a full water filtration system and a water softener since we didn't have one. They did it all the same day and even snaked out our washing machine line and put new lines in for free. Great bunch of guys!
I had a problem with my split system AC condenser freezing then not blowing cold. I called up Silver State and they sent a tech out to my house. The tech was outside for maybe 15-20 mins looking over my ac....or so i thought. He came back in the house and said are you ready for the good news? After hearing this i get excited and think it was an easy repair so i reply yes if its good. The tech then responds with not really, looks like it will be $3400-$4600 to repair because the coils ruptured and the unit can't be fixed. This caught me off guard as joking about a $3400+ bill seems unprofessional. I went to look at his invoice, and apparently the time I thought he spent inspecting my AC, he was writing up a detailed invoice of my options and the different payment options i had. I told him I would look it over and he left.
I work for a large meat company that requires huge coolers to keep meat at the required temperatures. I asked around and got the number of the in-house guy who maintains our refrigeration. He lived close by and came out the day after SilverState was here. He said that it was crazy for a 6yr house to need a new AC unit, and upon inspection he said a component was not properly tightened down, adjusted a few things, and checked for leaks. Then he refilled it with coolant and left. That was 2 weeks ago and nothing is leaking from my AC and it is running perfectly fine.
So Silver State tried to charge me $3400-4600 for a job that ended up only costing me $200 for a refill of coolant.
I personally would never contact this company again and would advise others to avoid them. Unprofessional and appears to try and scam people for costly repairs and replacements. Will probably file a complaint with the BBB.
Edit Update: John N.'s post is laughable. Most readers comments are because it cost a lot to fix??? my review was because Silver State quoted me $3400 to fix an 8yr AC unit that I had someone fix for free in 10mins and has been working fine for over a year now. I'm sorry, but i know AC work is expensive, but a company quoting you $3400 when your AC just needed to have something tightened and refilled with freon, is shady. Maybe John N. ca trust a company like that, but I sure as hell cant.
They came, they saw, they conquered. It was a weird problem, and they stuck with it until it was overcome. Great job!

Thank God there are still honest people out there! My tech could have easily said my water heater needed to be replaced, but all that was wrong was some $30 valve went bad.
I will definitely use these guys again and refer them to anyone that needs a plumber.
Danny from Silverstate came out and was extremely professional and courteous. Diagnosed the problem right away, and was going to make the repairs for a very good price.....landlord was too cheap, and has a handyman attempting to do the work for less, but once I buy a house, I will be using Danny and Silverstate Heating and AC to make sure the job is done right, and by an honest tech.
Worst customer service ever! I would give them zero stars if I could. We purchased a brand new unit from them in 2014 for $5,000. Less than a year later the pump went out and so we had it replaced. Now less than a year later again the same pump went out. Not sure if they used refurbished parts or just generic cheap parts but I asked Dan the owner if we should have to pay for a pump every year and he said yes!!

I called and set an appointment to fix my shower yesterday. Rene Barazza came out and he said he needed to go purchase the part, so we rescheduled for today between 1-3pm. At 4:15pm Rene still has not arrived. At 3:34 I received a text saying he was finally on his way and then at 4:09 he called and said he never went and picked up the part, so he was just headed to the store now, not my house! I started trying to fix this small shower issue w Silver State Plumbing on Thursday. I am looking for a new plumbing company at 4-15pm on a Friday. Terrible service.
My a/c has a leak and Matt Whelan came out to give us a quote. We had Sierra out earlier in the day and it was terrible. Matt went above and beyond to help us. He was honest and helpful during a miserable situation. I would recommend Silver State for sure.

The new A/C unit they put in several months ago started making loud banging noise today, every time it cycled off. Within 2 hours of my phone call for service, they were here and up on a ladder. The service tech had it fixed in less than 5 minutes. You just can't get better service than that.

I would never recommend this company to anyone . The diagnostic is 29.99 and the technician Wesley just looked at the unit, and said it was a bad coil and looked like there was oil on it . He said there's a leak on the coal and it's going to be a few thousand to be replaced . The technician Wesley called his supervisor Elvis to just come over and give me prices on how much it will be to get my unit fixed . Wesley pulled the power off the A/c unit and never put it back in when he was done looking at it . The technician from the other company ended up putting that back in instead . The prices were so high it seemed like they both were at my house trying to sell me on a new unit . The technician from the other company ended up doing Wesley's job. Inspecting the unit by hooking it up to a device and ended up putting in coolant into the system . He also put in the power unit in or whatever you call it to turn on the unit . He also fixed two little valves that needed to be replaced . Cost less than a 1000 dollars . I give this company 1 star because their sales team is amazing .
I needed to have two new faucets, supply lines, drain stops and drains installed after a remodel. Tech came out and we reviewed the parts I had (Moen widespread faucets with pull-up drain stops, valves, extra pop-up drain stops) and extent of install; received an estimate, which was higher than I was told to expect by plumber-friend in CA; estimate was reduced and tech started on job. When tech was finished, I went in to inspect and neither drain stop held water in the sink. Tech said one drain stop hit the cabinet and he tried to adjust the other, but it still didn't hold water. Can't imagine why he didn't bring all this to my attention during the install knowing I had the two pop-up drains. I asked him to change out the drain stops, which were included with the faucets, and install the pop-ups that actually held water. Not really the quality and follow-through I was expecting for the money, and the tech set his tools and parts on new quartz countertops - not cool. At least I have running water in my master bathroom sinks now! Still have the entire kitchen to hook up, as well as gas lines for BBQ and range, and the HVAC needs servicing...I'll try again with another company. Tech was nice, very polite, non-smoker.
This place is a scam! They came to my business checking on my defective refrigerator and never fix it! Still charged $370 for nothing! Just be aware of what kind of service they give you! Never again!!!!!!!
Buyer Beware!!!!! I just used these guys for a water softener install. I have no complaints about the quality of the work Rene did. My problem was with the shady business practices he displayed. He said that it was going to cost 800+ to install the unit because he needed some other piece or whatever. I said fine then I'll just go with Home Depot cuz they said they could do it for 375. Then this dweeb from silver state plumbing said he had the parts on his vehicle and he could do it for 300! Lol I'm glad I knew about how much it was supposed to cost otherwise I would have been out 500$!!!! So for anyone wondering for a new home it should cost 3-400$ to install ur water softener. What a tool.

I worked/dealt with both Matt Falls and Elvis, plumbers with this company, at a residence I am currently contracting work at. I give each technician five stars in correspondence, professionalism, attentiveness and honesty. Well versed and well dressed. Will be referring this company to friends, family, etc.
I have used them before for both personal and business HVAC needs, but they just lost my business permanently. I called to set up a visit to repair one of the units at my business. Everything was going fine until I was out on a brief hold. When they came back to the phone they informed me they were not scheduling anything. I was caught completely off guard. I asked why not and was just told the service manager said they weren't scheduling anything. I said I didn't need it to be that day and we could schedule it further down the road. Still, they refused to do anything. I could not believe it. I don't know if I was being discriminated against or what. My business has paid them thousands of dollars in the past, not to mention the $12k I paid last year when they replaced the HVAC system in my house. But now they have lost my business. I googled other commercial HVAC businesses and the first place I called was able to schedule something for less than two days later. I will never use Silverstate again for anything--commercial or residential. So disappointed in the way I was treated!
I called them for a toilet valve fix, I was told it was going to be $130 including their driving time 30 mins and service time 30 mins, if it takes longer it will cost extra. (They have my address so they know how long the drive will take). They came out and fixed the valve in 15-20 mins and left the site, but the bill came out to be about $200. I called back regarding the price difference, they said they'll look into it get back to me, which I never heard back. I called again why I didn't get an email I was promised, they said they were too busy and that I will hear back from them the same day. Haven't heard back for a week, and I filed for an amount adjustment with my credit card company to the amount what I was told. A few days later I call a call from a CS lady that was extremely rude. She basically said I never said that, why is everyone okay with our pricing but not you and she starts making things up (lies). And she goes on and casually tells me That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard and I can hear her co-workers cracking up next to her. I decided not to lower myself to her level so I just hung up. What do you benefit from trying to argue and insult your customer? Anyways, that was probably the worst customer service rep I talked to in 40 years. I feel sorry for the owners of the company. Advice to management - please revisit your hiring SOP so you can filter these bad ones out.
Used this firm for our annual ac check up. Serviceman (Lou) arrived early. Got our rather elderly units up and running for the Las Vegas summer. Advised us on some possible problems we might have in the future -- but no hard sell. Will consider Silverstate for more work going forward.

We had two other companies come by before Silverstate and they couldn't fix the problem. Their solution was a $300 thermostat and new air conditioner system. Silverstate? They replaced a blown fuse. Robert quickly diagnosed our problem and got up back to cooling in no time; he even rewired the thermostat that the previous company mis-wired. I'd recommend these guys again.

I called Silverstate due to a problem with one of my refrigerators..... they charged me upfront $ 100... I asked that the tech should call me once he figured out the problem..... no one ever called.... late afternoon I had to call the office to find out what happened.... by than I was charged an other $ 57.... so the total was $ 157.... to figure out that I need a new coil.... which will cost me $ 1,685 to fix..... NO THX! I will buy a brand new unit for $ 2,400..... I will never use this company again!

Wesley came out to install my Nest thermostats. Even though I am pretty handy myself it is easy to blow a fuse or even ruin your Nest device. Wesley was super friendly and educated me as well. An absolute pro!
Great service. They were able to troubleshoot and repair a leaky pipe all in the same day. Repair folks were courteous and left the place clean. Tough to know on price as with any plumbing service you have to pay a service fee if you do not book the work, making it hard to price shop. But I was satisfied with the results when they left. I paid $895 for them to replace/repair the issue, plus $395 to have them replace the main water shut off valve. Would love to see replies if anyone has gotten a better deal for high quality service.
This company give you a quote very reasonable until they give you a bill with all kinds of hidden charges then it become 3 time that they quote for. I guess they don't want repeat business, if you like to get robbed then call them.
I did my research on AC companies and the company I chose actually merged with Silver State Refrigeration. It is too early to review the systems I purchased as I just got them installed last month. This review is for the quote and install of two split unit systems that I decided to just overhaul. First of all I would like to thank Eric for his persistence and yes I did go with the lowest bidder and hope I made the right choice. Eric was able to give me awesome financing, not sure how he did it but my first 5 months is free and next 60 months is no interest - I didn't believe it until I called the financing company, not sure it can get better than this, no guarantees he can do the same for someone else but that made my day for sure (Note: you might need excellent credit for this, I'm not sure). He was also able to give me a great labor warranty. Eric was honest and told me that his company was merging with Silver State and I had my doubts so I decided to go forth anyway. I had an install date but they didn't show up the first day and I almost cancelled until a lady on the phone was nice enough to have a manager (Pierre) call me. He called me and explained because of the merger things got mixed up so I felt at ease. I had a 2.5 ton & 3.5 ton Amana 16 seer systems with matching furnaces installed, had some duct worked installed as well. Silverstate fills out the warranty for you and sends it to you in the mail. The 4 man crew worked non stop from 8am to 5pm, cleaned up after themselves. Shout out to the install crew - Roberto G, Shane G, Miguel E, & Bobby G. There was mix up on the thermostats that were supposed to be installed, they brought wired ones but my quote was for wifi. Because of the mix up Roberto was able to get me two Nest thermostats. I even talked to one of the installers Shane and told him I hope I have the best installers with a lot of experience and reassured me they are well versed. I even asked him if he was NATE certified and he actually knew what I was talking about and thanked me for knowing how much extensive training they have to go through. They do pull permits which I think is required but not for sure, but for some reason there is one well known company that I interviewed that don't pull permits unless you ask. I just hope the systems work as good as they should, right now the heater is working great.
DO NOT USE this company!!! Based out of Vegas and not a local Reno/Sparks company. Use a different company specially in Northern Nevada!!! Nothing but lies and deceit. They work in three different states and have spread themselves with below average techs! After telling the tech what's wrong over the phone he tells me there is no cost to come out until he asses the repairs, but then charges my $75 just for the assessment! Then tells me three times he will have an estimate of the repairs the next day and does not send one. He then tells me another tech will call me the next morning to come out and take care of the issue. Needless to say no one has called! Nothing but lies and deceit! Called to talk to a manager and can't do that until Monday. Terrible customer service!!!

Danny came out for my scheduled service and did a very thorough job. Cleaned out the inside of my a/c unit, almost looks new! Got a clean bill of health. I'll request Danny for my winter service.
I had a backflow preventer installed by Silver State approximately 4 months ago. I supplied the unit. After three months the connection between the plastic pipe and brass fixture developed a slow but steady drip. I called them back to come and look at it and they refused to fix it under their warranty. They said they only guarantee the work for 90 days if I could produce the receipt which I had. The industry standard is a one year guarantee. VERY disappointed and will NOT ever use them again. I told them that if this type of customer service is worth loosing their customers they are on track to go out of business. By the way they charged $240.00 to install the unit which I provided which was a very HIGH price!

Silverstate has replaced and or repaired a few A/C units for me and my rental properties over the years. The technicians have always been very helpful and knowledgeable. I called them with an A/C problem my tenants were having. They called my tenants, made an appointment with them and they went out the next day. quickly diagnosed the problems and gave me several options and overall assessment of my unit. I opted to replace the roof unit rather than patch it and I think I was given a reasonable quote. They replaced the unit the next day and my tenants and I are happy so far.
Silverstate has been my go to A/C company for many years and will continue to use them. Thanks.

Just want to commend plumbing technician Walter Coreas from Silver State HVAC and Plumbing who performed an inspection of our plumbing this morning. He was courteous and a true professional. I explained I'd been receiving alerts of a possible small leak from my Moen Flo leak detector which Silver State installed about three months ago. Walter inspected all shower/bath valves, under sink fittings and our three toilets, finally pinpointing the source of the leak in our daughter's toilet. additionally, he inspected the 30 year old water supply gate valves in the laundry room which he recommended we replace due to their difficulty to shut off. Additionally he advised me on contacting Moen for free replacement of the cartridges in our showers /tubs since we are the original owners of our 29 year old home. and, he stated Koehler will provide replacement canister flush valves for our three toilets since, again, we're the original purchasers. As a result, we can replace the Moen cartridges and Koehler flush valves and have them installed for approximately half the cost of paying Silver State to purchase and install the replacements, paying only for labor vs parts and labor.
I appreciated the quick response to my leak in my master bathroom & check my water softener. Michael Finster & Joe Fonseca diagnosed & will follow up in two weeks. Very professional and friendly.

I bought a house that was built in mid 90s. I don't think that the filter had been changed since it was built!

Well, once again we were in need of a diagnosis/ repair to a piece of commercial equipment in a residential setting. This time it was for a True Horizontal Bottle Coolers.
Due to our prior experience of having been graced with the workmanship of Jay The Ice-Machine Genius, as he has been affectionately renamed in our household, when I called Silver State, I requested (begged is more like it!) that we have Jay be the tech to come back out.
Once again, even with the telephone personnel answering my call, I was treated with quite nicely. It was explained that I could either have a (different) tech come that very day, or if I really preferred Jay, I would more than likely have to wait an additional day. Not a problem.....(while I have no doubt Silver State's other techs are just as knowledgeable, I was THAT impressed with Jay's previous visit that I had no problem waiting for his availability.)
Well, the big day arrived and Jay was right on time, very professional, and within 5 minutes of taking a look at the equipment, had the correct diagnosis.
Now, not only was it an easy fix (a plastic bag had somehow sucked up into the fan and stopped it up, but when dealing with equipment of which I have no clue about how these things operate, it would have been quite easy for a tech who was not as honest as Jay to lead me to believe it to be a much more expensive and unnecessary problem to fix.
I have a huge amount of respect for honesty, and once again, Silver State and Jay have proven yet again that they are indeed both honest and reputable. I hold those qualities in very high regard!
One other thing.....while here, Jay also noticed our machine was slightly off balance and while this was a very easy fix, it was not something I or my partner were able to physically correct. Jay just wedged a little spacer right in there and Shazam!! we now have a balanced fridge. This may seem like a small thing, but it's that going the extra mile that really sets him apart from any of the other morons ( none of whom worked for Silver State by the way!)
So....to sum this very long review up:
1) Jay...youre the bomb! Please do not ever leave Silver State as we may have to go stalker on you to track you down for any further repairs! We would even go so far as to adopt you as an honorary member of our family!
2) To Jay's boss: I hope you realize the gem you have in your employ!
3) The ice machine Jay fixed ( after a ridiculous amount of ding-dong morons traipsed through the house bumbling about and NOT fixing it...grrrr....no company names mentioned , although they were allegedly Manitowoc brand authorized) over a year ago now is still running like a dream! I've said it before a million times but good lord I wish I had called Silver State from the very beginning!!

This is the best plumbing company ever! On Dec 31, I was getting ready and shower was barely supplying water. If one sink is being used, there was no water from other sink. When washer was being run, there was no water elsewhere in my condo unit. Every shower was a battle to get the right temperature for 7 weeks. I called 5 different companies.
1. Home warranty plumbing company: changed me $75 and said they will not fix it because it's out of scope.
2. H plumbing company quoted $4500 with a fancy description.
3. A plumbing company never got back to me and changed me $85 for a service call. They said they kept calling me after 3 weeks passed and I never received any call/voice message. When I finally got in touch, they quoted $1500.
4. P plumbing company came out and they said they can't fix it.
5. Finally Silver State came to my place. Fixed it in 2 hours for less than $400 and my water pressure now is sooooooo great and everything came back better than before this crisis. They never dropped the ball like other companies. I just couldn't thank them enough!!!
Fyi, I've been in real estate business for more than 6 years and this is the BEST plumbing company. Michael, the technician, and his boss are amazing. Thank you!!! They know what they are doing!! I would recommend this company to my clients.
Received a spam text out of nowhere from this company today and all our phones are on the Do Not Call list. Therefore this company clearly doesn't follow any legal procedures in their business. We will be providing our experience with everyone possible and report this company for their poor and illegal marketing practices. All should be warned about bad companies doing bad things. There's plenty of companies that do what they do here in the Vegas valley so there's no reason to support one that does illegal things.

The tech was friendly and he fixed the issue within 15 minutes, but I didn't really care for being given a 6 hour window only to have him show up 1 minute before the end of the window. If you're not sweltering from the heat these are the people to call, but if you're worried your 2 year old might get heat exhaustion maybe pick someone else.
My old freon based unit suddenly died (big electrical arc & blown fuses) so I called Silver State based on neighborhood word of mouth recommendations.
The staff was great! The initial tech that came out to evaluate the system was knowledgeable and was willing to help me come up with an economical solution (still paying for kids in college) that included a new external condenser unit and a R410 compatible set of coils for my interior furnace/blower unit rather than replacing the entire unit.
The installation techs were on time and worked straight through with no breaks, and were both very professional and personable. Four hours later I was in business with a new system and plenty of cool air circulating--all at a very fair price. Highly recommended!
UPDATE: Had another issue on my remaining older unit. Sounded like a metal spoon got caught in the fan. SS sent out a tech within about 2 hours and it didn't take him long to resolve the issue, that luckily was minor. He also took the time to talk through a few future improvements that I'm looking to have them make in the near future.

Two techs show up due to a gurgling sound in bathtub when toliet is flushed. Tried to sell me in removing the toliet and sending a camera down through the pipe to see if there is a partial blockage in the pipes at a cost of upwards to 1500 dollars. Then the tech asked if he could look at sewer line to see if there is water build up. We went out front to look to see were that line is and instead of moving some rock's around to find it he says oh we can locate it using the camera., referencethe 1500 dollars...all sorts of excuses about where it could be like under the pavers etc....I asked don't you have a machine that can locate a water pipe, he said no, i indicated thats how they located a leak over 12 yewrs ago in my home in Az, Thats when i googled the problem and there was a simple fix, running got water through the pipes with dawn dish liquid to help dislodge any blockage and it worked. I then asked my landscaper to come by and located the sewer line he found it in ten minutes, wow!!!
We are elderly couple on fixed income, sounds like a scam to me.
We just purchased our home. I contacted them based upon their reviews. They exceeded my expectations . In addition, they addressed all of my issues and concerns. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. If you need any plumbing or HVAC services you'll be happy you made that call!!!

I paid these guys $400 for nothing! They gave me an estimate of $10,000 for a repair that another plumber, one with ethics, charged me only $300! My plumbing is back to normal for a fraction of what Silver State wanted. Silver State didn't give me an invoice nor receipt nor written estimate of the work the plumber said needed to be done. In fact, he did very little to properly evaluate the problem, and relied on his experience to decide we needed $10,000 worth of work! This is a shoddy way to do business.

I called Silver State on a Saturday to come fix my AC (it was going to be 117 that day) and they did schedule me right away and the tech was here early. Thats why I gave them even one star! The tech, although a nice guy told me I needed a new compressor and it was going to cost $3600. I needed to decide within 15 minutes if I wanted them to do it the next day. If not, it would have to wait to Monday. I have three kids and we were hitting record highs for the weekend. So, not knowing ANYTHING about AC we decided to do it. Coincidently a friend of mine who knows about these things was in the neighborhood and he wanted to look at it before we spent the money. Long story short, we DID NOT need a new unit AT ALL and the part that needed to be fixed cost $10. These guys are nothing but scam artists (especially if you dont know about their expertise) BE CAREFUL - DO NOT USE THEM unless you are getting multiple opinions.

I'm torn about reviewing this company. Two years ago, my AC unit failed, and they came out and replaced the compressor. They were prompt, professional and explained everything in such a way that, even at 2700 miles away, I understood what I was paying for. Of course, I called them when the unit failed again this year, but something about the company is very different. I am not sure if there was a change in management/ownership, but I would certainly hesitate about calling them next time. This time, not only were the parts that failed not covered by their warranty (of course), they were hugely expensive. On top of that, the technician told me it might be a good idea to replace the entire inside unit, which coincidentally, would cost the exact same amount of money as the outside unit. To the dollar. On top of that, the technician decided to save me some money by not replacing the thermostat because it didn't really need to be replaced (even though I told them to replace it) and a week later, there was a short in the thermostat (how does something with that little electricity running through it have a short?) and it actually caught fire. Luckily, my tenant was home at the time, so she could shut the breaker off. But now, they have to go back out there, and will be charging $200 to do so. I probably should have just told my tenant to take $100 off her rent this month, go buy a thermostat at Lowe's or Home Depot, and install it herself - I feel like she probably would have done a better job. I would recommend that, if you have another option, you call that company first. This company will do the job, but they are neither fairly priced nor particularly honest.
Caution before signing anything make sure you can clearly see what they are selling you. My 74 year old mother had new A/C unit installed o.k. no problem the workers did fantastic job I give them 5 Stars! But I give the girls in the office minus 5 stars hear is why. After my mom told me it would be $6000 dollars for a new unit I called a few different companies to get rough estimates and there were some that were same and some a whole lot more. When I called Silverstate to give them the go ahead I asked about senior citizen discounts and if they offered any kind of interest free financing. Well a woman named Julie said yes they do give senior discounts as well as 12 months of interest free financing through Wells Fargo Bank. I said good so after my mom gave Julie all her info she told us that they Wells Fargo did give her $10,000 credit with 12 month interest free financing and total cost with senior discount would be $5200. So with everything a go they came out and replaced her old 15 year old unit with a more efficient unit that comes with a 12 year parts and one year labor warranty. Well when she got her first statement there was 9.9% interest added on, I called Julie to see why and she told me I would have to contact the bank to see why. Well I see where this was going you know the old blame the other guy routine. Sure enough the bank said they received the paperwork from Julie with the box marked 9.9% interest not the box that was marked 0%. Well the paper my mom signed was a copy of all the originals but the wording was bad enough to where the boxes showed distorted numbers on all the boxes, I don't know if this is the way they get people to pay extra or maybe they are trying to recoup their senior discount. Bottom line is Silverstate told us that we are responsible for their mistake. Like I said at first the tech that installed the unit did a great job as for Julie she is a Big Lier and Con artist probably trying to work her way up in the company by ripping off customers.

Matt was great. Our kitchen sink is extremely hard to snake because of 90 degree turns, but he managed to manipulate around the corners and unclothed the sink. He also informed of a maintenance service idea that no other company has ever mentioned.

can't believe how fast, easy,and inexpensive it was! ! Saw the ad on TV, called and spoke with Patti, (very easy to talk to and helpful )set the appointment. The crew, two guys with two Trucks, showed up on time, were extremely polite professionals and kept me informed every step of the way answering any questions I had.

My tech was Walter, he was absolutely the best! He came to check all the plumbing and was very thorough and explained everything to me, there was a few things that need attention so I will be calling silver state in a few months and requesting Walter as I trust his opinion with all my plumbing needs
These folks are incompetent, un honest, confused, mis leading and definitely not timely! I'm a residential property manager but we have 1 commercial office in our portfolio! In April we needed help with an AC that went down so we asked Silver State to go out and help us fix it. It took them 4 days to get out there after multiple empty promises. They claimed an air filter and a loose belt caused this and charged me over $500 to fix the problem which we agreed and paid to resolve the matter. The following morning we received a call from our tenants claiming AC still doesn't work so we called Silver State to come back out. This time it took 3 days for them to come back out and it took 6 days to obtain a quote after me constantly haggling them which was frustrating and upsetting because the entire time my tenants were suffering. The quote finally came in at $5500, apparently we needed to replace the unit! WOW!! This is where I turned to my residential AC guy, he came out same day and noticed problem with thermostat, he replaced it and the issue was resolved a month ago for $100!! Can you believe that?? I waited 2 weeks before calling back Silver State to make sure that was the issue. I finally called Silver State explaining what happen and some guy that was part of management said he apologizes and offered to refund half of the $500 plus that was collected. I wanted a full refund he claimed a technician had to go out there and apparently this is one of their best technicians. That's very scary....regardless at this point I agreed to the refund just so I can move on. However, refund never came and he stop replying to my messages or returning my phone calls. This is what happens when you call Silver State, its not acceptable and now I have WARNED you!

This company is the best so far as per my personal experience. The technicians were on time. A little bit pricey but their service is excellent. Techs were very respectful and did an excellent job. They went way and beyond with their service. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!!
I would strongly urge anyone planning to do business with Silverstate Refrigeration to RE-CONSIDER!
Silverstate sold and installed a $3,500 condenser in August of 2011. Since our purchase and installation, Silverstate has given our AC units a tune-up on at least two occasions.
On 7-16-18, a technician from Silverstate came to our residence to give our AC units a tune-up. Once he arrived, he told us that our units use R22 coolant that was phased out. He told us Silverstate does not carry R22 coolant and recommend two new AC units.
The technician wrote on the work order: 3.5 ton unit low on Ref, not cooling efficient. Both units using R22 phased out. Recommend new equipment. 2 ton split AC $7,700. 3.5 ton split system $8,500.
The technician then charged us $70 for his service call and left without doing ANYTHING to fix our AC.
Feeling quite shocked and disappointed, I called and and to speak with a service manager, but was told that the manager was not available. I left my number and asked for the manager to re-call, but never received a call that day.
I then called another HVAC company and explained the problem and what the technician from Silverstate told us.
The employee at the HVAC company told us that we could get the R22. She said the R22 is more expensive, but it is STILL available and won't be phased out until 2020.
On 8-19-18, a technician from the HVAC company came to our house, checked both AC units, and placed two pounds of R22 coolant in one of our units.
Our AC unit is working 100% better now. The technician also told us that both units looked to be in good condition and showed now signs of breaking down any time soon.
Had I not done some research and called to get a second opinion, I may have unnecessarily spent over $16,000 purchasing new AC units.
If this is how Silverstate treats existing customers, I hate to imagine how they treat new customers.
Consider yourself forewarned. In this customer's opinion, Silverstate Refrigeration is a company with that engages in horrible business practices and has no ethics. It is clear to me that Silverstate places a greater importance on making a quick profit than providing quality service to the public.

The service provided in deeded exceeded my expectations. Without a doubt, he is one of the most professional, dependable, efficient, experience and knowledge Technician in his field I have ever had the pleasure to do work for me. Silver State HVAC has been doing work for me in my home and business for 15 years. Silver State is an amazing company, they are always there when you need them and every tech they have ever sent out has done an outstanding job. Today David Abrams serviced my sons home and our home. He went over and above. My wife was extremely happy. And the price was right. Last week Rafael was out to my office replacing a thermostat and adjusting the vents. Rafael did a great job and he also went over and above. If your looking to have the job done correct call Silver State.
I saw a few bad reviews and I wanted to make sure to give an honest review. Businesses can have bad days too. I have used Silver State for my business for my years. They have always been honest, friendly. And performed great work. This was the first time I had them com to the house. From the time I called to the completion of the job the customer service and workmanship of the technician was excellent. They arrived in the time they gave me(only a two hour window). The receptionist was very nice and followed up with the appointment. The technician was very nice and even asked if had any questions. Spent a little time showing me how to turn off the water to the house if I needed to. Definitely I would recommend them for plumbing and A/C repair.
I was having problems in regulating the water temperature in my shower and tub shower. Walter was very diligent in locating the problem. He replaced both cartridges and gave me his mobile number to call either if everything ok or not. The water remained tepid during my entire shower that evening, and I also tested all the next morning. He came and replaced the control valve and replaced the configuration of the pipes to the water heater at no extra fee. The water temp in the shower still wasn't too my satisfaction, so Jordan came out. I think he raised the temperature control on the water heater and I haven't had any problems since. I'm very satisfied with Silver State and highly recommend

I called them for a check up and estimate. They charge $59 (because we have home warranty insurance, 25 bucks otherwise, go figure), but the office clerk said they would waive it if we do the work. A clean cut guy came, just looked, (not even checked with tools), at one of the outside unit and did an estimate. Didn't even bother to go in the attic. Just did it on what I asked for. Believing that we may also have a clogged evacuation pipe (which I did specify to the office clerk), I asked how much they charge to unclog it. He said like $200 but that wouldn't waive the $59 because it's not a major work. He brushed aside what the office told me saying they don't know, that's why they're in the office. Then, stop wasting my time. As for the estimate, it was for your eyes only. James Bond over here refused to email me the copy. Who am I? A flash drive? I'm supposed to remember it? Ludicrous.
Walter, came in and did a great job right from the beginning. I would absolutely be working with them again. They were very prompt with the job and not just that did a inspection of a few other things that we could work on. Fixed everything I needed and really just made it a great experience. Would recommend if you're looking for some reliable service.

I received a quote from another plumbing company without detecting the source if the leak and quoted me $8000! I them called Silver State for a leak detection and was met with Larry, he was AMAZING! Very knowledgeable and upfront, he showed me the exact source of my leak amd even educated me on the invention of the AC. I greatly appreciate his service and it is great to know that GENUINE service technicians do exist. Thank you Silver State for being that company I can count on.
Superb service. Friendly and knowledgeable technicians that love their job. Great perks with their membership service - free estimates/ inspection , AC maintenance twice a year and regular heater and pipe maintenance. Plumbing ain't cheap!!! But Highly recommended.

It is with great disappointment that I write this negative review about Silverstate Refrigeration & HVAC. We have been using them for several years, and as a matter of fact, pay for an annual maintenance agreement, which includes two service calls yearly, priority service in case of an emergency, and a discount on any work done. Up until recently, we had no problems at all. They have always advertised how they are different from other companies, how they are honest and not deceptive. NOT SO! On March 29th we called for service because our A/C was not working. The service representative came out, met with my husband (I was on the road to Texas) and within a few minutes, told him that we were completely out of freon, that there was no way to know where the leak was coming from, that the valve would be $650; freon would be $85 per lb. to replace, and the diagnostic test to determine where it was leaking would be $1100 and that we would be much better off to replace the unit. The cost of this would have been $8,800. This is a 10 yr old top-of-the-line Trane unit that has only ever had so much as a minor repair one time. My husband decided he wanted a second opinion. We called another local company, who came out the next day, looked at the problem, said he could check to see where the leak was (at NO charge...), he put a new valve stem in the valve (so simple, he said, that he did not even charge us for the valve stem), and filled it with freon (it was not completely out, just low--for which they charged us $35 per lb I might add). They charged us $580 in total for the repair and it works perfectly.
I am terribly disappointed in Silverstate. I have written a letter to the Company, and we will see what response or remedy they offer. I hope the Executives of the company take a close look at the people who are working for them-- they absolutely tried to blatantly sell us something we clearly did not need and I think that is reprehensible,

Wow, what a great experience! From the first phone call with Amber to the technician Nick who arrived at the time that was scheduled. We needed a new unit and was able to have it installed the same day. The installers Ronnie and Matt were very professional and had the unit up and running within 2 hours. From start to finish everyone that I worked with was extremely professional and courteous. I would highly recommend Silver State HVAC!
Came to change out the valve and spicket in my bathtub he was very respectful and professional showed up with everything needed to do the whole job. Did the job quick and left everything just as clean as I had it. Thank you for everything.
I had one of my worst experiences with this company. I had them fix two of my toilets and after $400 nothing was fixed they still leaked. The manager Amber was very rude and did not try to help fix the issue.
Well this was not the experience I was hoping for. They, Silver State, responded with a reasonable service call price $25. Once they got to my home it was supposedly running fine. Ac unit went down again within 12 hours, called the company back and he indicated the fan needed to be replaced for $670. At the mercy of the company I agreed. Next day Silver State sent out another tech and claims that the unit is fried and the condenser was grounded. They wanted $3800 to replace the unit? I called another company for a bid they came to the house and found the problem in 20 minutes and fixed it for under $600. I would expect honesty and no up-sale just fix the customers problem! Would not waste my time with this company, if you do hang on to your wallet! Not impressed with Silver State!
When your air conditioner goes out at 9 PM on a Saturday night and it's 115° on a Sunday you start calling everyone! One Company answered the call Silver state refrigeration. I even woke up early before calling thinking no one would answer on Sunday and went to a part store thinking hopefully it's only a capacitor. They checked it said it was OK and thought maybe it was the fan motor just go and buy it. Too big of a job so all those 24 seven open seven days a week people yeah right only silver state answer the call. Was given a four hour time window I thought that was quite a bit long, however in 3 1/2 hours Nick called said he would be here in 20 minutes was here in 15 minutes and minutes found the problem a small relay I told him about the fan motor he could've overcharge me but he said everything was fine. In the days when we all think we're going to get scammed silver state outperformed 115° Sunday. Already made by appointment for winter to check the heating system they will be my one call from this moment on. Thank you
PS all those 24 hour seven days a week people are now calling Monday afternoon how happy I was to tell them Siver state answer the call.
It's been a while but here's an update. I had my ductwork sealed and tested by NV Energy a couple of years ago and they repaired multiple holes. Air conditioning been great ever since.
Silverstate came out and did a pre-summer tune-up on my 2 units. The tech (Danny? - sorry, between my 2 appliance repair/installs, I have going through so many names. lol) was on- time and very courteous, He took the time to explain everything he was doing. The office staff was very good at following up and making sure I was happy with the service. They will call in the Fall about follow-up checkups, especially for our heaters.

Silver-state sent out Wesley to find out why my A/C unit wasn't cooling. Wesley was professional and very meticulous diagnosing the problem. He took time to explain step by step what he was doing and why. He quickly found the issue and promptly explained what the issue was and the fix. I purchased a club membership from Silver State to have my heat and air serviced twice a year. This included having my water heater flushed and a plumbing inspection. Their technician, James INSLEY, has been out to my house as a part of this service and to repair a couple of other issues I had at my request. Right away he put me at ease and let me know what he was doing, the results and estimate. He was thorough and quick, which I really appreciated. Thank you, James!
Silver state technician came out looked at what needed to be done gave me a quote (which I thought was a little high but I needed my drain cleared) I reluctantly agreed and then was told it could not be completed and I needed to call a different plumber. Thanks for wasting my time.

Sometimes the service a technician DOESN'T do is as important as the one they do.
Amber was kind enough to inform me before her visit that my broken air conditioner unit was very likely covered under my home warranty. She could easily have raked me over the coals and made $600 easy for a service call, but instead sent me to my home warranty provider before even seeing the problem.

Silverstate came out to my house for a service call. I was so impressed with the in depth inspection and knowledge of the technician. He provided me with recommendations that my unit would need and a suggestion of the timeline.
In Las Vegas, it is difficult to find someone that you can trust. I believe that they are a very trust worthy business and I will call them when I am ready to get these recommendations complete.
Transferred 5 times! Don't waste your time with these guys! Don't post u do commercial repair and say u do not!

I just replaced my kitchen faucet and disposal over the weekend. Come Monday I found that my shutoff valve's were leaking. Normally, I replace everything, but choose not to replace them this time around. My bad...Due to time time constraints I couldn't replace them until the following weekend so I called Silver State. I've seen them on TV so I thought I'd give them a shot...I figured it was a quick and easy job. Wow...Apparently, it wasn't. They charged me $162 dollars to replace two shutoff valve's...that is simply ridiculous. That killed any future business with me. I'm a single Daddy on a budget..I can say this...they were friendly and businesslike. They arrived almost on schedule. They even took a moment to check out one of the toilets that was having an issue. The valves do work great, but price wise they were way too expensive...especially for a job like this.
Update: The Silver State newbie they sent out struggled here for a couple of hours to give us a false diagnosis. We paid for every minute he was here on the phone trying to get help to figure it out. ($350.00)
The next company sent a 20 year veteran in the HVAC industry and he solved it in less than 10 minutes. This new company did not charge us a dime. (I think they felt bad about our having been charged so much by Silver State.) Stay away from Silver State for residential - they are hiring beginners and they charge a FORTUNE.

For a simple diagnostic and refill of less than 1 unit of coolant, we were presented with a bill of about $350.00. They did spend a fair amount of time trying figure out what was wrong, but their diagnosis turned out to be incorrect anyway. (We had another HVAC company give us a second diagnostic to find the real issue.)
They were supposed to provide us with an estimate to replace the system, but never sent it to us.

Lou Weber and his team are amazing!!! They just replaced a 40+ yr old A/C and heater yesterday. These guys started at 10am and by 1pm we had a new cooling Maytag A/C made in America! It's incredible! Lou thought of everything! Even new filters for the unit totally different from what we used before. Our old unit had shifted more than 2inches over the years and we were trying to cool Las Vegas! They showed us sll the pigeon feathers that had been sucked in blocking the air. It's crazy that we had any cooling at all. This was done at a great price with a discount because my husband is a veteran. They also donate 3% to A Home For Spot!!! These guys are the real deal and you can't go wrong with SilverState Refrigeration!!
The air in my vents were not flowing so the first company I called was Silver State Refrigeration & Hvac they sent out a technician that spent a total of 15 minutes and told me I need a new motor ($580) and a new thermostat ($180 - $280) plus the service call fee. I did not have a good feeling about the diagnosis because of the time spent (even though he was the repair manager) so I told him I would think about it which I could tell did not make him very happy at all judging from his sour expression. I eventually called another company for a second opinion. The new technician diagnosed that the problem was a emergency power switch that was turned off. He had surmised the problem withing 2 minutes but he went ahead and spent around 35 minutes diagnosing every other possibility just to make sure. This included testing the thermostat which was functioning just fine and did not need to be replaced just like the motor which was also operating correctly. I was so impressed with his honesty and work ethic that I have already recommended them to 2 of my neighbors. To top it off the second company does not charge for a first service call or a second opinion even if they do not do any work. I am so glad that I received a second opinion which saved me the cost of a new motor and a new thermostat. I would not recommend Silver State Refrigeration & Hvac to anyone!!

Have lived here 20 yrs and wouldn't trust my HVAC to any other company. They are reliable, trustworthy and they explain every single step before, during, and after they do it. They take photos so you know they aren't doing anything illegal, immoral, to rip you off. This company is on the up and up.
I highly recommend using this company for any problems you might have with your air conditioner / heating unit, I needed someone to come out just to service my Unit, The Technician Kevin James arrived on time and was very Knowledgeable and very professional, And surprised me by offering to install my new filter and even dusted the outside of it , What a nice guy...He sure will be my go to guy for any services I may need in the future,

Love these guys. They are honest, reliable, show up on time and have reasonable prices. I've tried to use the one-off HVAC guys and always left wondering if they really know what they are doing or screwing me on costs. I think they have a good combo of a bigger company with well trained techs, friendly office staff and smaller company prices.
I would like to thank silverstate refrigeration for coming our rescue. My best friends husband just returned home from a liver transplant.. Their ac unit went out Monday they called the warranty company who sent out a terrible local company name Air One (run do not let them work on anything they are a scam.. ) Air one continued to scam my friends. I called Silver State Refrigeration Explained my dilemma and the health issues that we were facing. They immediately sent a technician out, who cleaned and repaired the problem within 24hrs.. I highly recommend this company!! Thank you Silver State Refrigeration!!
Quote received was $2000 if warranty supplied parts. Tried upselling new unit for $7700. Second opinion fixed for $600. Watch out for these guys. Lou Weber showed me pictures of a burned out HVAC. Second guy showed pictures of one tube that leaked out the refrigerant. Always get a second opinion.

Recently interacted with Silver State in Reno in April '22.
We had noticed one of our faucets sputtering. This was not normal and indicated it might be an air bubble in our pipes. Silver State responded to our request very quickly and we had them out within a few days to look at it.
The technician showed up on time and proceeded to check the pipes in our bathroom, looked at our water heater, and then asked to go under our house. When he came back out he said he might have bad news but wanted to get his supervisor out to our house to second his opinion. A little while later the supervisor showed up. He did the same inspection the tech did and got under the house. When they came back out they said they had bad news. I forget at what time they asked, but I did reveal to them that I was a single female at home by myself and my husband wouldn't be home that day.
The supervisor proceeded to tell me that we had several issues but the most important one was that the copper pipes under our house were corroded and that there was even one pipe that had a hole in it, and that's probably how the air bubble got in. I asked him if there was a puddle of water now under our house and he said oh no, no puddle that I saw, it's probably because when a hole opens up it can close up really quickly because it seals itself back up. He also told me that our whole system was being held together by what he called shark bites, and that these pieces were only temporary fixes and they shouldn't be left in place for longer than 2 days, 2 weeks tops. So he said we should have all those replaced, and he could basically re-pipe our entire house with a different material. I asked how much he thought this could cost and he estimated between $3k - $7k depending on whether we wanted to do both systems or just cold or just hot water.
I asked him to send me quotes for each option and to attach photos he had shown me of our piping during our discussion. During our discussion he showed me photos of pipes with corrosion and even showed me one with what looked to me like a small black hole in it. When I got the quotes from him the email did NOT include the corroded pipe pictures or the one with the hole in it.
After discussing it with my husband, we decided to get a 2nd opinion on the quote we got from Silver State. We had another company come in, and this plumber completely disagreed with the assessment we got from Silver State. They said there was no need to repipe our whole house and that the shark bites were totally fine. He said the only thing we should look into doing is replacing our expansion tank.
I am completely convinced that these two men who came from Silver State were trying to take advantage of a young woman with no experience in plumbing whose husband was not home. I was an easy target and they thought they could make an easy couple thousand off us. It's even more suspicious that they chose not to include photos of the corrosion/hole they discussed with me, as I believe they were photos from another job used to make people think their pipes are bad.
Best decision to use Silverstate! They saved us over 10,000. A/c unit broke so we got a quote to fix it. Yes plumbing quoted over 10,000 to replace unit. Turns out it was a BAD capacitor. The part was $225.00. A/c running great now!

This company is great. I had been having AC problems for a week or so and another company was telling me I had to replace the unit. I wanted to get a 2nd opinion and a friend referred me to Silver State. All I can say is they were nothing short of amazing.
I used their online option to set an appointment and not less that 10 minutes after I submitted that I got a phone call and had an appointment set for the very same day.
Also they inquired if I minded if a news crew from Channel 3 filmed while their tech worked on my AC unit. I had no problem with that and now my AC unit is a TV star. On top of that they gave me a discount for allowing the TV crew to come out.
The diagnoses of my AC unit was that it had a bad capacitor. There was no need to replace the entire unit. This made my day! I had a feeling the unit did not need to be replaced but the fact it was only a capacitor really blew my mind. I am glad there are still honest businesses like this one out there.

My second AC unit went out this summer! It was 19 years old and compressor died. The tech came out and was honest about the age of the unit and the cost to replace the compressor to buying a new unit. We bought a new unit, the installers came out the next day, worked hard all day and did a great job. The installers were good guys! Silver State also installed a beautiful, touch screen thermostat, at no additional cost. I have spent a lot of money with Silver State, but am very happy with their HVAC work!

Lower rating due to high price of $225 for 45 minutes of labor work which I thought was excessive, otherwise would give 5 stars.
Problem-loud knocking noise from A/C compressor at my 1story home. York unit was 2 years old, parts covered under warranty.
Positives:
-showed up at home 10 minutes early to scheduled appointment, on the same day!
-Nick, the technician diagnosed the problem in less than 5 minutes. 2 other A/C companies including Elite could not diagnose the problem. New condensing fan motor needed.

Problem solved and eliminated!
A plumber charged me $100 for 3 hours of work which included parts he had to get from Home Depot. Not the same trade, however another contractor I used.
Negatives: high price.
A tenant had a clogged toilet. Cost to snake the toilet should be no more than $75 to $150. I was charged $198. Garbage Disposal was seized up. I told technician it was only 18 months old. He said it was broken and could not be repaired. He quoted me $628.00 for new Disposal including labor. I said NO! After he left I had a handyman go over to inspect the garbage disposal. There was a can pop tab wedged in the teeth of the disposal. Once removed. It works fine! I cant believe this technician did not do such a basic inspection and tried instead to over-charge me for a new Disposal that costs $149 for a 3/4 HP. Watch out folks!!!
I (would not ) tell anybody I love to use Silverstate plumbing. They took advantage of my mother she's a senior citizen. So after they took her for $500 dollars she still had the leak outside. She call them to ask if she had A warranty on what they fix. They said (No) and don't call back. That's how they take care of their senior citizen had to call another pluming company. With no problem they showed up and they fixed it. Silverstate. Is Las Vegas signature name for being strong they need to change theirs.
Silver state came out to diagnose and repair our AC unit on a Sunday. We were grateful to have someone come look at it same day. And super grateful that they were able to repair our 22 year old unit.
We had been told in the past that there was nothing that could be fixed on a unit so old. But Silver state was able to replace the motor and we are back up and blowing cool air.
Technicans Danny and Ricardo both came to check out my A/C system. Really great team and did everything they could with an honest review as I am a young woman with a newborn baby that previously got a very not correct invoice. Liked the help that was received today! Trustable team!

AC went out last and called Silver State. Right away they scheduled a tech Danny Neske to fix the issue. Never been so happy his service. Not only he was honest with his service but he's also a very professional technician. I recommend Danny anytime with HVAC problems. Very knowledgeable professional. He's now my goto HVAC tech as long as I own a house. Awesome to work with.

Every time they came out something needed replacing and they would not leave us alone about scheduling a spring or fall tune up regardless of how many times we told we would call them when we were ready to schedule.
I called Silver State Plumbing for a busted pipe during a Snow storm in the middle of the evening. Within 15 minutes I had a call back after leaving a message with their answering service. I had my appointment scheduled to be with in a 2 hour time frame which is easier to manage. Bradley arrive at my house. He was professional and knowledgeable. He walked me through the whole process, answered all my questions. My house is over 100 years old. He was also thorough with explaining what all would be done for the repairs and what work wouldn't.
The job was completed the same day he came. For a reasonably price. He took the time to clean up all of the work area except sweeping a very small area. He then did a walk through going over exactly what he did and the warranty of work.

Requested Roger to Flush my Tankless Hot Water Heater , as it is my understanding from other knowledgeable people including Silverstate that
maintenance is Key to the Life of your unit 20-25 years! Manufactures Warranty Requires it to replace unit should it need be. Roger was outstanding Instructor , educator on my unit and very patient showing me how to properly Flush the unit. Very educational I never dealt with one of these units before. My heat stopped working recently. I called silverstate requesting repair. I was told a technician would contact me. It never happened. I am disappointed in the customer service recieved. It is also disheartening that a near 10,000 dollar system that was purchased less than 5 years ago requires yearly repair! I did manage to get it fixed, but not by silverstate.
My ac unit went out today, the fan wasn't turning and it was making a high pitch noise. I turned it off immediately and called Silverstate. They were here within an hour and a half of my call AND after hours. The man went out and had it fixed in a jiff and since they had replaced my motor not to long ago the part was free and so was the service call. Very professional and courteous. In this heat I can't express how thankful I am that they made sure to get over here right away to repair our unit. There business card is always on the thermostat in case of emergency and it will stay there. My mother in law also said she will be switching companies since I've had such a good experience with Silverstate! Thank You :)

One of our two heaters failed. Danny kept us informed as he diagnosed the issue and got the repair made.
From making the appointment, to a follow up text with name and photo of the service person coming to the home. Appreciated. Plus, good thorough service. We have used Silver State for years, and will continue to do so.

Their pricing is ridiculous. They wanted $5000 to install two tubs (I already had all of the supplies, so this was ONLY FOR THE LABOR). Simple install that would take two people 4 hours. AND, I had to pay a $25 service charge to get that ridiculous bid! I would not recommend this company. Plenty of plumbing companies will give you an estimate for free.

When I realized that I needed to flush my water heater once a year I immediately called Silver State Plumbing to get this done for me. Their expert friendly people over the phone helped me to schedule an appointment for next day. Mike Q promptly arrived at my door 30 minutes early and quickly started on the water heater flush. When he told me the water heater was old and should be replaced he talked to me about all of the specifications of a tankless water heater, I was immediately convinced to get one. We then rescheduled for Mike Q to come the next day to install the tankless. The install was done promptly and very clean and professional. Mike Q was awesome and instructed us on how to keep our tankless running in tip top shape. The price were very reasonable and I would definitely call Silver State and have Mike service our tankless if there was any problems. Mike was awesome! 10/10!

We are currently renting and the homeowner called Silverstate Plumbing to do some repair work on the main water line unit. The technician was polite, however, told us that he couldn't do the repair because he didn't have the replacement parts and we'd have to schedule for another time. Frustrating, but it happens.
The homeowner scheduled them to return the following day, today, with a repair window of 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, as that fits my and my husband's work schedule as it wasn't an emergency service call. So who do we hear pounding on our door this morning at 5:50 AM? Yes, the same technician who came last night saying that his dispatch told him we requested a 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM service window! We thought that someone was trying to break into our house and scared my family to death!!!
There seems to be a HUGE communication problem here between the Silverstate Plumbing dispatch office and their technicians as something like this should never have occurred in the first place. Plus...we were told that the technician would courtesy call us when he was en route to our house so that we could be home during the service window (we both have full time jobs and can't just leave whenever we feel like it!) and never got the call last night OR this morning. A double CUSTOMER SERVICE FAIL.
I'm hopeful that the work will be completed today and correctly, however, we will NEVER use this company when we purchase our home.

I am on low income and they need to fix a broken pipe under my mobile home and were here for less than 1 hour and chargered me $1800. . i wish I would have gotten multiple bids but didnt have water for 4 days. Had problems with my AC company was very professional showed up on time completed repairs with no issues. Price was right would highly recommend Silver State.
After researching this company and reading reviews I called to have my A/C unit checked for the coming summer months. Very sorry I did so. The thermostat was not check for accuracy nor was the filter checked. After less then 5 minutes on the roof the service agent came in and tried to sell me a new unit. When I questioned that he simply said my unit was not up to the new standards. I did need a part and once I agreed to that it was placed and I was presented with the bill. They advertise if service is required and provided the service fee is waived. Not so. This service agent again started in on how the unit should be replaced. When I again refused he went outside to talk with his supervisor and came back in with a reduced charge for a new unit. This went on for nearly 15 minutes. If my unit was old and training me of money I would have considered it, not the case.
I truly felt like I was buying a used car from a not so reputable dealer. Are they on commission?

We have been with Silver State for about 3 years now. Their honesty and integrity is refreshing. They are timely, competitive in their pricing and really know their products. We had a new AC unit installed today and the installers did not leave until they were sure we understood how the new system works. Kudos to Jeff and Matt. Patty in the scheduling department is always a pleasure to work with. She has always dealt with us with a smile in her voice. Lou Weber is our regular service technician. We are so glad that Silver State sends us their best! He is a straight forward, no nonsense guy, who really knows what he is doing and more importantly what he is recommending to the customer. We trust this company and their employees and would highly recommend them for your HVAC needs.
We have been using SS HVAC for years for our services. For $25 we call them out once every summer and winter to have the unit cleaned and looked over. They have done this at multiple homes. Their technicians are always on time, thorough with their service, and professional. They always clean up after themselves and explain everything they have done. It is also nice that we did rent for a year and did not need service calls and then when we bought our new home, the same tech came out and remembered us and our last home. Not very often do you get service where someone actually remembers you. You can't beat that! I refer them to anyone I hear talking about a/c problems.

If I can give 0 stars I would. I called on a Thursday because my tub was clogged. The man that came was complaining about it being a lot of work . He left said he'd be back Friday I got no call and a no show on Friday. I called the co. They said someone will come sat. Same thing no show no call. I called again asking to speak to a manager or sup. They said the sup. Will call me n I got nothing. Then I called again on sat. And they said someone will come Monday. No one called or came. Finally today is Tuesday and they're here but this is ridiculous it took 6 days for them to fix my tub. N they're supposed to be a 24 hr. Service. I will never go through silver state again.

I am sure that he is their employee of the year... or should dang well be...... Professional, Courteous, and really what got me was that took to my fur family with ease.... I have not seen them take ti anyone quite like that, so that was really important.... But to the plumbing issue ( mind you, I am a moron when it comes to repairs around the house) sometimes.... This company installed my tankless water heater last May. Their field crew(plumbers) are exceptional. The people you call to request a service in their has no idea what they are doing. After install, they scheduled city of Las Vegas to do the inspection on June 16. June 15 they were calling me to check if I was home that day. When we arranged 16th is the best time for me. Then after we passed inspection, the new gas line has to be hooked up to the main. I called the office and no one knows what I am talking about. I am on my third oerson who will call me back.
I'll never accept any bids from SilverState refrigeration as long as Jonny Sullivan is handling them. The contractors community demands professionalism and doing things right the first time. Your business will grow without him.

Silver State recently installed a new AC unit. The install was quick and problem free for us. I'm very glad they could do all the work before it really gets hot. But if there is a problem they will be there to fix it.
This was the worst experience EVER having our A/C repaired. I gave them one star because it requires at least a star to continue. They came out to tell us the unit couldn't be fixed because the unit is not holding the Freon and they can't replace it due to the new laws. Ok so we purchased a new unit and it was installed however they had to go through the attic to install the new unit but had to cut the drywall as the new unit was larger then the hole. 10 calls later and taking 5 days off work for them to return. No show and no call the first day and then sent a new sub contractor to do the repairs. Simply put, the worst service from a company we had purchased another unit from a few years ago. Do yourself a favor and find a more reliable, professional company to do your A/C repair or replacement!!!!

Danny was fantastic. I have used Silver State HVAC before on another house, and was very impressed by their work and commitment. I am the process of purchasing this house, and needed some clarification on the HVAC units-since it had 3 in a 2500 s/f house-why? Danny explained what was going on, which I glad I did. A home inspection would have shown they worked, the broad strokes, but not the internal problems. Always spent the money for HVAC professionals to inspect the unit or units before you purchase. Silver State did an excellent inspection that revealed the situation and how to resolve it.

We are SO glad that we found Silver State HVAC! Our 10-year-old downstairs AC was no longer blowing cool air, and we called for an appointment around 7:30 this morning. We were scheduled for a SAME DAY APPOINTMENT (!) between 8-10 am, and Doug showed up a little before 9 am. The problem was easily found, and a capacitor was replaced for $125. Both our systems were cleaned and checked also. Doug suggested that we might want to replace the units in the next 1-2 years to avoid a situation where they died, but did not even suggest this for today. We appreciated the honesty and will call for replacement when we need new units. Silver State has made us customers for life!
An interesting experience. I was having an issue where the A/C was working, keeping the temp set correctly in the house, but the fan was noisy and running when the a/c wasn't on. I had this company come out and at first the repair man was confused. He was wondering if the noise I was hearing was my next door neighbor's A/C but I told him I know the difference. Then he was hearing the noise himself, when the A/C wasn't on, and he was in the hall when the fan kicked on and we were right below it. In fact nothing was on at this time, except the fan was running and he could hear it. It was an extremely raggedy noisy fan. He was really puzzled at the fan running when the unit wasn't on. He had taken off the thermostat in the hall and verified nothing was active. It took a few trips to the roof when he finally came down with a small controller in hand and said sometimes a corrosiveness stick happens and he replaced that part.
The reason for the IFFY 3 out of 5 stars is because he fixed the problem, but he made a point of telling me some long story about an older woman who complained about hot and cold drafts in her home and he assured her (and me) there was nothing wrong. In fact, he was putting it down to her imagination or woman's problems, and there was no reason for him to be telling me this story except he was trying to say if the fan was operating when the unit wasn't on again, that would be a woman's problem (or my imagination). But, he's telling me all this prior to leaving, having replaced the part he thought was the issue, and also after he was listening to the fan earlier while it was running when the a/c wasn't on! (He was up and down from the roof a few times trying to figure this fan business out.) It was like he was telling me it was all my imagination when he was an ear witness to it. Anyway, that left a bad impression.
However, I can tell you now that a new season of A/C has commenced the A/C is working fine and the fan no longer is noisy or active when it has no reason to be. So was the technician afraid he hadn't fixed the problem? I don't know. But an allusion to a woman's issue was a bit much when he was well aware the problem existed.
I've used this service for almost ten years to maintain the HVAC that came with my home. By the time it died, it was 23 years old. That's a testament to how well they kept it up. When it finally gave out in May of 2017, I called them out. They said they'd have a new Maytag unit installed the next day. They did, and it's been running like a dream. Cant say enough good things about this company and it's employees.
After calling three other companies I called Silverstate Refrigeration and I am so glad I did -- from the office staff to the true professional they sent out to do the repair job (Lou). I felt at ease from the moment I talked with them. They are up front, don't try and sell you something you don't need. So if you are having problems with heating or air -- call the true professionals -- Silverstate Refrigeration. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I have used Silver State for a number of years and have always been satisfied with their service. I have dealt with the same technician, Lou, every year. He is highly knowledgeable, trustworthy and very personable. If you are looking for a really good heating and cooling company, call Silver State and be sure to ask for Lou.
The supply line to my toilet burst, and I had to replace the entire shut-off valve, since the two were connected. I did some research on the internet, and I needed to shut off the water to my house in order to properly remove the old shut-off valve. Unfortunately, I didn't know where my main line was so I called Silver State Plumbing to see if they could help me out.
I called on a Friday morning, and they told me a technician would come by anywhere from 10AM-1PM. I was told upfront that it would be an initial $79 inspection fee, and any work done would be added onto that initial fee. Sounded like a good deal, I thought.
The technician didn't arrive until around 2PM. When I told them the situation with my toilet supply line, even he had trouble determining where my main water valve was. When we eventually found it (an hour later), he told me he could get a technician tomorrow to fix it. Excuse me? I thought you WERE the technician. Turns out he was only the sales guy and he wasn't legally allowed to touch anything. Funny how the representative on the phone didn't disclose that. Seemed like a cheap way for them to get the inspection fee without actually doing any work.
Anyway, now that I knew where my main water valve was, I was able to turn it off and then I just watched some YouTube videos on how to replace the toilet shut-off valve myself. I suppose he did help in a way, but was it worth $79? Absolutely not. You're much better off just watching some videos on YouTube, and attempting to fix the problem yourself. You'd easily save around $50. Don't waste your time and money with Silver State Plumbing.
Excellent work and customer service! They handled the job when my heat wasn't working.

I have used Silver State Refrigeration for all of my HVAC and Refrigeration issues in AZ. CA. and NV.
The owners, Danny and Shane take personal pride in assuring that their customers are satisfied. Recently, I had a residential customer in Las Vegas that had a condensation leaked around the return air vent staining the ceiling. Their technician Lou came out and discovered that the condensation pan under the coils was deteriorated and was the cause of the leak. They recommended replacing the unit due to the age and the old unit was R22 (no longer available). They scheduled the swap out (it was a package unit on the roof) for first thing the next morning, showed up on time (with a crane) changed the unit out and had it running in no time! I would highly recommend them for any of your refrigeration A/C needs as well as they have a plumbing division that is amazing! Don't waste your time with anyone else. They are extremely fair and honest.
Marc was here for our semi annual check up and gave us good tips about our furnace filters. Hope he comes back every time.
We have two showers with old hard to pull out handles. I'm very pleased with the customer service and work that was done. Albert and Und, I hope I that's right, did a fantastic job. It was a tough job. I would recommend them highly.

Oni was our tech and not only was punctual, but took extra time explaining our plumbing issue in detail and offered options and helpful suggestions. Very personal and fixed our issue right away.
After having a bunch of company come to our house and telling us I need a new ac/ heater unit Daniel was able to fix it!!! It's was the middle of winter the only year it was snowing in Vegas and my heater breaks luckily we found this place and they weren't gonna leave till they fixed it too they didn't want to leave us freezing super nice and caring ppl!!!

Quick response and we're able to send a technician to help right away. Michael F. was polite and observed CoVid 19 precautions at all times. Michael was punctual, honest and educational. He helped me save money by informing me that my Delta Faucets had a life time warranty for parts which saved me over $250 dollars. He advised I call delta first and order parts for a more affordable service. I was able to make a follow up appointment with Silver State Plumbing and request for the same technician. They were very quick to reschedule and make accommodations for me that fit my schedule (I work night shift). The technician also educated me on yearly maintenance that's required for water heaters and what to do to flush out an anode rod! All my years of owning homes, not one plumber has ever told me about how to maintain a water heater and how to keep the your plumbing clear of calcium build up if you don't have a water softener. I'm just totally impressed by the honesty, great work and fast service. Thanks Again!
Horrible we get it fixed for over $2,500 in August last year because we were in lake Tahoe and our ac unit froze and they said there were leaks we shut it off in September come june 2023 turned it back on froze up was blowing always way hotter then the temperature we had set call them up he comes out tells us its blower motor need to replace control module etc...ridiculous price tries to talk us into new unit for $8,000 and he will wave the $59 service we pass i pay the fee call yes air-conditioning come out tell me its the contol module and thermostat get it fixed thing is working like a champ call them back about our warranty have them come out this week but i had my friend here who owns a company i just then to double check the leaks the lady tells me the $59 fee is covered under warranty so he comes out doesn't do nothing talks with my friend i say the lady said the fee is covered under warranty remind you last month early June came out misquoted tried talking us into a $8,000 new ac when ours is only 6 years old i always maintain change the filter every few months etc...so i leave heading to the gym gisela calls me for the $59 threatens to put a lean on our house if we don't pay it etc...especially after i told her the girl said it was covered warranty and after being misquoted plus ripped off etc..bad business
There is nothing worse in Las Vegas than coming home in the summertime to a hot house and the AC doesn't work. I called Silverstate and had someone here within 2 hours. They sent Danny and he worked quickly and efficiently. I needed a new fan motor but he did check I believe the celluloid to make sure it wasn't just that before telling me I needed a new fan motor. He didn't try to up sell me but did tell me that with the compressor I have, the freon will be obsolete in a couple of years. The unit is older so it will have to be changed out eventually but it wasn't an issue today. They will now be doing my annual checkups for heating and air conditioning and I would recommend them to anyone.
Nate and his crew were awesome! We asked for a new water heater and got all new flex pipes, valves, straps, pan and drain! The prep took more time than the installation. Their attention to detail was impressive. Excellent people skills too! He never laughed at dumb questions from me or my wife! No more rust colored towels for us!!!

What a GREAT COMPANY!! Would recommend them without any hesitation. Fast response time on any and all concerns or questions. I went with this company when I replaced my HVAC Unit. I went with the Maytag Unit they recommended w/ Lifetime warranty. It Runs really quiet and has saved me $$ on my electric bill. Substantially!! Even my neighbor commented on how quiet my Unit was compared to theirs and they paid more for their well known brand name Unit.

Worst plumbing company in Las Vegas. Let me be clear, their field staff is awesome and did great work... but they were an hour past their 2 hour window (a dispatch issue, not their fields techs) and they charged me $198 to unclog my kitchen sink disposal. Seriously took 30 minutes including paperwork start to finish. I had no idea how easy a job it was, I should have done it myself. They don't tell you the cost until they show up. And at that point, I don't really have a choice. My worst plumbing experience yet.
Again, love the field techs. But this company is a rip off!
Considering the tremendous heat we've had and knowing AC techs were working to their limit, I was more than impressed by the politeness and promptness of a great tech named Jayson. Not only was he honest and forthright, he was also full of information on any question I had. What a great personality! This is such a rarity now days. Treat him well. He's a gem!

Thanks for coming out to unplug our outside line to the street. Showed up same day within hours. Told us the problem and what needed to be done. They brought the needed equipment and blew out the lines. Greatly appreciated. Thought price was high but is guaranteed for 1 year. Recommend them .
This would be the last resort. The tech showed up smelled of BO went into my attic. Footprints all over the ceiling access to attic. Was in attic 15 minutes. Came down brought me estimate of $3310 said I had to replace the whole unit. Paid him his $25 got rid of him. He was new here from Chicago. My first red flag. The next day I had a reputable company come to inspect the heater. They took pictures of the damage this guy did. He cut wires pulled wire out of the unit cut and left electric fitting on attic floor. I am going to take the pictures to the state licensing division & the Consumer protection agency. The company that came inspected the unit & could not believe what this guy had done. It ended up being a circuit board. It cost me $600 to fix the damage. This company is a rip off pure & simple. I have been in the construction industry for 40 years & this is the worst situation I have seen. Blatant misrepresentation, arrogant & crooked! BEWARE

Don't do it ! These people will steal your money . My ac went out in August in 120 degree weather , I have a home warranty but they venders they use couldn't do it the next day . So I decided to use these guys who could come out the next day . My control board was broke , they did the repair for 895$ , months down the road I got a reimbursement check from the insurance company , they explained that the bill should of been around 200$ ! I called Silverstate and Amber M couldn't provide me with a break down of the labor and parts . When I pushed her she said it was a couple hundred dollars . I asked her where did the rest of 700$ go ? She got nasty with me and my mom and hung up on us . She also told us we couldn't come down there to retrieve a break down copy . Have called back numerous times to speak to the owner Danny and every time he's not in the office and has not called me back . I am going to take them to civil court and will be contacting the news to out these thieves .

Service is great, the technician was very nice. However, the service charge for installing a bathroom faucet was high. 320.00. We decided not to use them for plumbing.
On July 12,2018 I called Silver State Plumbing regarding a new water heater. The same day a Tech. named Eduardo B came to give me an estimate. At 77 years young I have delt with many techs. Edwardo came in at the end of day, clean cut, smile on his face, no tattoos, no pants hanging to the ground. Quite the gentleman. Came at 6.a.m. on July 13, to install. Same clean cut appearance. Explained every part he was replacing and why it needed to be re placed. Such a positive experience. Im moving to one of my rentals that was built in 1978, I know it will need up grading to pass code. I will for sure call Silver State Plumbing for help. I hope Eduardo is the one to help......
