Great service! Called in the morning and had a technician out the same day. Our tech (Monte) was professional; he finished the job quick, answered our questions, made recommendations, and didn't try to up sell us some extended service warranty. I definitely recommend these guys and will be using them for future service.
I called about our air conditioner and they were able to come out the next day. They worked around my schedule. They were polite and explained everything. Their prices were extremely reasonable. I will definitely use them in the future.
One of your drivers almost caused a huge accident between a semi when it decided to cut off people while entering the freeway!!! Not sure about your other services but if you are in too big of a hurry to get where you are going that you're willing to cause an accident I don't want you in my home.

This tradesman failed to respond to my timely YELP request for service. Perhaps an indicator of things to come from an arrogant, spoiled plumber flush with new business. Good luck, to you, Pal!
Recently, my furnace stopped working and I called Powell for help. They came when they said they would, calling first to let me know the tech was on his way. Dion was friendly, informative and obviously knew what he was doing. In the nicest way possible he told me I would need to replace my furnace at some point in the future (which I already knew).
The fix was a relatively simple one and quickly I had heat again. Dion told me about their Service Plan, which I found to be very worthwhile and purchased. I would not hesitate to emphatically recommend Powell to others.
Just saw one of their trucks throw a bunch of garbage and litter from the window driving through our neighborhood. (Passenget window on 06/26) pick up you trash morons!!! Speaks to how theyd treat your house. Idiots.
I was referred to this company by one of the local commercial HVAC companies. I scheduled them to look at a central humidifier and give an estimate for replacing or fixing it. During the phone conversation it was never mentioned that they would charge to provide an estimate. They showed up, spent about 20 minutes looking at the humidifier, told me it was broken and it would cost $1,000 to fix and charged me $80 for a service call. Needless to say, I was very upset that I had to pay $80 to have someone tell me it's broken (well no sh*t). The technician had a really horrible attitude and so did the secretary when I called their home office. Both responded with well do you think we work for free. I dont expect people to work for free, but providing estimates is pretty much a industry standard since people shop and compare prices. Estimates are not actually free since business include that in their operating expenses and their prices. I read Yelp review all the time but this is the first Yelp review i have ever written, that's how strongly I felt about my experience. Hope this helps someone steer clear of this company.

I had a problem with my York D90 furnace so called : short cycles
I initially contacted another co. in Sparks, whose sticker was attached to the furnace, indicating
there were working on it in the past. Their technician correctly diagnosed the problem, but gave me astronomical price for the part-10X of what it is on Internet.
The tech from Powell not only replaced the control board for a reasonable price, but also indicated that wiring was wrong, which I suspect the guy from previous co. did to force me to come back to them.
it was fixed under 1 hour term and the owner- Darrel honored my senior discount, which certainly a nice gesture.
Highly recommend!

we needed to replace old furnace and a/c and got many estimates deharts pricing was very reasonalble plus their techs derrick, kevin and jack were very professional and got the job done quickly very impressed with their service so happy we picked them
Our heater went out two days ago and of course this weekend supposed to cool down. Having a four months old at home, needless to say I wanted someone to check it out right away. Called around and other companies were either too expensive or had no availability till next week. When I called Powell, Courtney said they might be able to get someone there in the afternoon. Thank God they did. Their technician got to the house around 6:30pm on Friday, but he quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it. It was the flame sensor. My wife was at home at the time, but she said the technician, Michael, was professional and very helpful. He took the time to answer all our questions. At the end we paid $178, the trip charge being $89 on its own. We find that price to be reasonable, especially on a last minute order. Overall great experience, we'll be signing up to their yearly maintenance plan for sure.
I decided to give DeHart a chance when I learned they had merged with Powell, the HVAC service we used to use. I was very happy with the experience, beginning with calling to make the appointment for an annual inspection. A friendly, efficient person answered promptly. The tech, Michael, arrived on time and cheerfully moved his vehicle when I asked him to. He is friendly and loves dogs but stayed focused on the job the whole time. He explained what he did with our HVAC system and what to expect as it ages. He answered all of my many questions. I definitely will call them the next time I have a problem with the heater, AC, or plumbing.
Monte is wonderful! He was here in the winter when our heater wouldn't run and did a great (quick!) job getting it running again. He was just here again when our A/C wasn't working and quickly replaced the broken part and we are happily cool again!

The project involves some ducting rework..........didn't even want to bother with it. Gee, isn't that kinda why you want to hire a professional? I could have done it myself if it was a straightforward replacement. He suggested I contact one of the larger companies. Wow, Really? I got 4 other bids, and though wildly different in price, not one of them had a problem with doing what needed to be done. Maybe he's just so busy, he doesn't need the work.
I called Powell about my furnace problem. They gave me a reasonable quote. The technician called before he came that same day. After a short time, my furnace was working the best and quietest it ever has. I could not be happier with the service.

AC in our Reno house quit working on a record breaking weekend! Called Powell first thing on Monday morning and received a service visit by shortly after 10 AM. Problem diagnosed in minutes and they had the correct part on the truck, so AC was up and running! The tech went on to check and record operating parameters...all was well, and inspected furnace and gave me maintenance tips before he left. First rate service at a reasonable price. Super company!

Well I cannot say enough how much I appreciated working with Darryl and Powell heating. I originally was using a different company and had a really bad experience. After lots of research Powell came highly recommended from a commercial company and lived up to my expectations. He came in at a lower price than the other companies and had the workmanship that you hope for. They were easy to get a hold of despite it being the busy season. Installed a new AC unit and made sure there were no leaks. Highly recommend Powell Heating!
I contacted Powell for an A/C repair. The inside fan stopped running. Fortunately it was not really hot at the time this happened. They were able to accommodate me fairly quickly but asked for morning appointment as the furnace is in the attic and it can get rather hot working in there. I had no problem with this. The service man arrived promptly at the appointed time and went to work right away. Problem turned out to be burnt out relay on circuit board on a very poorly designed York unit. (As a side note, I would not purchase a York if I were in the market for a new unit or building a home). He performed a through inspection to ensure there was not an underlying reason which would cause this to happen. The price was reasonable compared to what the charges are these days. I am extremely confident with Powell's work and the service man was very professional and an asset to the company. I would call them again if service were needed.
Our furnace was having a problem with the control board and it was a very unique issue that Powell Heating & Air was able to properly diagnose in a timely and professional manner. Would highly recommend.
They replaced an old Bryant system with a new and much more efficient one. It worked perfectly through the heating season and now has proven its cooling capabilities. We liked the personal attention from the estimates, quotation, to the installation. We especially like how quietly the heating and cooling happens.
