Matt of Comfort Air provided a reasonable quote & we decided to go ahead with installation of a Navien tankless water heater. Matt removed our existing 14 yr. old Navien tankless water heater, we had a noise problem with the tankless because it was  mounted incorrectly by the original contractor. Matt did a GREAT job mounting our new unit - it's quiet, we can't tell when it's on, and it's mounted on a post in our basement below our master bedroom. Matt took great care in mounting the unit, making sure there was sufficient insulation.  He was patient when explaining how to program the new unit. Thank you Matt, thank you Comfort Air!

Recently my water heater started leaking. With Cathy's patient help we decided on the right type and model for replacement. Allen came to my house after digging his truck out of 3 feet of snow (early March 2023). Allen is a strong young man and he wrestled the new water heater into an extremely difficult place. I was very impressed with his skill and thoroughness with which he installed and tested the new unit. I'm a happy camper.

I loved working with this company from beginning to end.  We just moved into a new house and brought our old BBQ with us, which only works with natural gas.  Because of that, we needed to run a new supply like from the main pipe, out to the deck where the BBQ is.  This was obviously NOT an emergency situation and Comfort is very busy, but the office team continually kept me updated re openings and apologized that they couldn't get to my job immediately, which was fine - it's winter!  They sent Matt out to do an estimate and of course, nothing was as easy as I thought it should be, but Matt patiently explained to me how MY plumbing was hooked up and what he needed to do.  He then came back and accomplished the job much quicker than I was expecting.  I am very picky about vendors and customer service and Comfort Plumbing hit all of my bells and then some - you won't be disappointed if you decided to hire them.

We had a complicated problem with a Noritz tankless hot water heater.  It was a situation where the unit worked for awhile and then would stop working.  Service was fast, friendly, professional and the unit was fixed in a couple visits.  Parts had to be ordered; thus the two visits.  So this is a professional reliable company you can count on to fix your plumbing problem.

I recently hired Comfort Plumbing to install a gas line for a new range in a Grass Valley house.  They were immediately responsive to my request to   first check out the house to make sure this could be done, and then the town faced a week or so of power shutdowns.  Rhett went ahead and installed the gas line as scheduled and returned soon after the shutdown ended to complete the electric work still to be done.  He ended up doing a few tasks that the delivery team was to do, and we are very happy with the end result.  From beginning to end, the office staff (Cathy) was responsive, understanding, efficient, and reliably communicative as we went through the ups and downs of this particular week of inconveniences for all.

Allen was on time, professional and courteous and appropriately wore a mask, which we really appreciated with our 95 year old father living on our property.  Allen went right to work, did an efficient job of replacing our sink in our laundry room, and we have asked him to return this week to do some additional plumbing work needed.  This is a great plumbing company and fully recommend them for your work too.

We discovered a plumbing leak inside the wall on Sunday evening called comfort plumbing and they responded came out fixed it and charged a very very reasonable price. I am a realtor and I will highly recommend them!

Comfort Plumbing is communicative, thorough, reasonably priced, and friendly. They have apparently been able to find skilled and considerate plumbers to represent them, and I had no issues at all with their work. If we need help with any plumbing needs in future, they're on speed dial.

Nobody ever wants to have a plumbing problem, but when one does occur, we want them fixed immediately. Comfort Plumbing makes having them, if not a pleasure, at least tolerable. They are responsive, reasonable and reliable. Who can ask for more?

Yesterday Comfort was called out to repair a leak that appeared to be inaccessible.  They worked intelligently, diligently, and professionally to a successful conclusion.   Cannot recommend more highly.

2 weeks ago we had a leak in the plumbing under our house.  Comfort Plumbing Systems came out the next day to repair it, and suggested that we do a whole house re-pipe.  I knew such repairs were due, but wanted to put the job off until the COVID-19 scare had passed.  But with Nevada County's numbers getting worse by the day I decided to go ahead with the work.  Zak and Allen came out and did the entire job in one day.  They were clean, neat, and thorough as they worked as efficiently as a well-oiled machine.  I mainly appreciated the fact that they were very accommodating as to how I wanted my sheetrock breached so the drywall repairs would be simple and affordable.  All I can say, is that I'm extremely satisfied and glad to have that job behind us.  I'm also happy to recommend Comfort Plumbing for your repairs.

I sent in for a quote and was responded to very quickly. I had a clogged kitchen sink. They sent someone out as soon as he was available. He worked hard and very efficiently. Thank you Allen for doing such a great job and fixing our sink!

Kudos to Comfort Plumbing for replacing my 3 outdoor spigots that were 50 years old and leaking. They answered my call and set up an appointment convenient for me. Matt did a great job and I appreciated that he wore a mask. Highly recommend and I will be using them for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Our dishwasher quit working and we were not sure if this was a plumbing problem or a dishwasher problem. Comfort Plumbing was immediately available to assess the problem and tell us what we had to do. It turned out the the pump was bad so we had to buy a new dishwasher. They were available immediately after we received delivery of the appliance to install it professionally and quickly. I cannot say enough good things about Comfort Plumbing. They have been our choice since going into business and have always been dependable, reliable, easy to work with, knowledgeable and professional.

Comfort Plumbing is the best plumbing service I have ever used.   They are very responsive and accommodating.   I have used them for back flow devices, broken pipes, gas values, installing water filtration systems, stopped up sinks and toilets, bathtubs...you name it.    They have always come through and are always there when I need them.    I highly recommend Comfort Plumbing for any of you plumbing needs.

I must say, I am very very impressed with Comfort Plumbing Systems. I live in Grass Valley, and unfortunately my sewer got clogged on the day I had visitors coming to stay! I called Comfort Plumbing Systems explaining my situation...they were booked fully for that day and the next, but said they would try to squeeze me in somewhere. They communicated throughout the day updating me as to a possible time they could come. Somehow they were able to send someone over the same day...he spent time working on it, and found that a jetter was needed to clear the clog. So, another person was sent out with the equipment needed, and the work was completed the same day! They did an excellent job...very professional and knowledgeable...and cleaned up everything neatly before leaving. Wow...above and beyond service! I will definitely use them again if needed, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to all my friends.

With an older home, obviously things go wrong.  Unfortunately for us it was always at an inopportune time (Nights, Weekends, Holidays)  Comfort is your go too.  Cathy and Rhett and the rest of the staff are top notch.  Professional, reliable and personal.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!

Comfort Plumbing definitely deserves their 5 star reviews. I had them come out for a toilet repair and a PRV replacement and Matt went above and beyond both times. He offered several options and recommended the best for me. Everything was taken care of professionally and I was happy with the results. Cathy was also very helpful coordinating scheduling and payments. I will definitely be using Comfort Plumbing for all my future plumbing needs.

I've called Comfort Plumbing at least 10 times over the last few years. We have a three story1895 Victorian downtown in Nevada City, and a newer flat we're renting nearby off Grove St. They've handled everything. They've tightened or replaced leaky sink and toilet pipes, adjusted 3 running toilets to fill and flush properly, replaced a shower valve, put in a new high end kitchen faucet and got down in the trenches replacing a sprinkler valve and cutting and replacing rusted old irrigation pipe. They are a busy team, but prioritize based on our availability and urgency. Cathy is a good listener and takes my information and reviews her jobs for the day and the week and let's me know when they can come by to do the job right. They give a time window and stick to it and call to keep me informed. Don't hesitate to leave a message. Often they can come sooner. She has a great team of plumbers to choose from for the job. I usually enjoy Matt's practical advice and solid work.  I trust them with anything water.  I think their pricing is fair for the quality of work and piece of mind they offer. You're in good hands here.

Well it wasn't how I was hoping to start my new year by having a broken water pipe going into my house. In calling Comfort Plumbing they were available immediately. They were extremely fair in price and knowledgable in what they were doing.

In finding where the problem they had to break through my cement walkway. Zac was efficient in trouble shooting the problem & very mindful of the aesthetics of my front entry. Good costumer service in  this area can be hard to find. I'm happy to say in this situation I felt reassured never pressured to make any hasty decisions.

A new garbage disposal...leaky faucets...and a new faucet - I relied on Comfort every time, and each experience was positive. Personable pros who keep their word. They arrive on time. They are considerate, and keep the work area clean. While they work fast, there is always time to answer questions thoroughly. I also find their pricing reasonable - so all around, great value!

They also stayed on site to trouble shoot and fix an issue with a shared sewer line that had forced elderly neighbors to move out of their house for 2 nights.
The cost for all the work was very reasonable and it's nice to know it was done right.

Hot water is one of those luxuries that we don't appreciate enough. When my hot water heater suddenly stopped working and I discovered it was sitting in a pool of its own blood (rusty water), I knew I'd have some leg work to do because of the type I had.

I contacted several companies to discuss my options. The office contacted me immediately to schedule and also immediately confirmed what I already knew about the type of water heater I had. They know their stuff.

I had 2 other companies come out for quotes before Comfort. In a hot water crisis, it's easy to lose patience and not want to wait a day for another quote, but I'm glad I did.

Comfort came out and discussed several options with me when the other companies pushed preferred options, would not offer alternatives, or could not source my type of hot water heater.

In the end, we settled on what made sense and their quote came in significantly lower for comparable equipment.

The install went pretty smoothly despite the technician needing to do quite of bit of retrofitting to make the new larger water heater fit the same location.

There were some rough edges here and there, which I've come to expect if I want a reasonably priced service.

The paperwork was somewhat old school. Sign, scan and return. But if the low overhead and minor inconvenience means they can keep prices reasonable, I am happy to do it.

It took over a week to get me on the schedule, but this was clearly communicated up front. What this means to me is they don't have any techs that are just waiting in reserve as that requires a lot more overhead, which means higher prices. I wasn't pleased with the delay, but I accept it as a new normal for service-based businesses.

The tech was 1 hour late on install day because he couldn't get the equipment at the closest supplier. He called ahead and it didn't impact the overall project timeline, but I can't help but wonder what happens if, like the other companies I contacted, the equipment I needed wasn't available at all.

In the end, I still give them 5 stars for knowledge, communication, price, and quality of service, Will use them again if needed.

We called Comfort based on high Yelp reviews. Our water heater was not working. Initially, over the phone, Rhett described how to push the reset button. That solution did not work, but we appreciated the effort to try something simple before coming out and charging us. As it turned out, the water heater had a leak and needed to be replaced. Zach did the replacement job. He was friendly, efficient, and all is well with the new water heater. Coincidentally, a relative in Southern California recently had her water heater replaced and the cost was similar to what Comfort charged, leading us believe its charges are reasonable.
