If 0 stars was applicable they would be provided. Came out for pre-paid annual service on both our 1 year old HVAC systems. Told us blower in both was needing replaced. Said coil in 1 unit was too dirty and was going to overheat, tried to add duct cleaning and a second higher quality duct cleaning on the need to address. Total quote at 2,700, questioned the 2 duct cleaning and said mistake.  Would not explain how this was needed or why not in warranty other than it was dirty. Got 2nd and 3rd opinion and all that was needed was a simple annual clean which I was suppose to receive for free from
Them. ABSOLUTE crooks. Service person left pissed when told him no thanks.  Please spread word on their shady business practices.

First reviewer nails it.  Installed towel bars at aging mother in laws house for an ungodly amount before I could intervene.  Technician was trying to recommend a friend for a complete retile, said there were structural problems.  Con men who prey on unsuspecting clientele.

Service is great but the prices are EXTREMELY high.  If money is no object, then Roger the Plumber is a good choice.  For the rest of us, read on:   We recently had a sump pump replaced and for about 30 minutes of work, the labor came in at around $700 -- total cost was $821 but sump pumps of the quality installed can be purchased for $100 to $150.  You have to balance the service with the cost -- in this case, I think Roger the Plumber is simply too expensive for day-to-day plumbing needs.  Call them ONLY in an absolute emergency -- that's the only time that I would ever consider using them again.  They use what they call Menu Pricing which means that it's a set price for a given task regardless of what's involved.  This means that your simple project will cost A LOT and you will subsidize everyone else that might have a complex project.  I'd rather pay for what's involved with my specific project.

I was charged $69 for an AC tune-up that amounted to a sales pitch for a new AC or furnace/AC combo.  There was no tune-up done whatsoever.

A close family friend lives in KC and I was recently responsible for finding her a plumber for her water heater problem. (No hot water) I made several calls in the local area and finally found Roger The Plumber. I guess they've been around for 80 years. The owner is a local legend. Anyway, they had same day service available, so we went with them. Our family friend is elderly, so I was concerned about how she would be treated but Roger The Plumber did a great job. They even have something called Senior Sensitivity Training. She loved her tech, and the guy I talked to (Ian) was a great guy. Pricing was in line with the other quote I'd received but more importantly we got the issue fixed, fast. Would continue to recommend.

CONSUMERS BEWARE:  My parents were offered a free furnace inspection which resulted in their furnace being condemned.  They were offered a new unit for only $8,000 before the cold weather hits.  Second opinion today found no problems with their current furnace.  They are targeting the elderly who don't know how to look at internet reviews. Watch out for your loved ones as these scam artists are just trying to get your money.

I was charged $242 for a plumber to come out and install a shutoff valve under our kitchen sink.  It took a half hour and the valve may have cost $25.  Highway robbery.  Had I turned them away, they would have charged $89 for the visit.  Thanks Roger.  Will never call them again.

**READ ALL REVIEWS BEFORE SELECTING ***
I called for someone to come check my A/C unit because there was a new, unusual noise.  I had turned off the unit waiting for arrival.
A young man came, and started telling me what a piece of junk I had for an A/C (and furnace).  Granted it is older (13 years old). BUT!  He took the cage out as well as the motor.  He said it was the motor.  Price?  $1700.  I DIDN'T have him do the work.
I read the reviews too late or I would not have selected them in the first place.
It appears from the reviews that like myself, older women appear to be targeted.
I asked around and was referred to COMFORT HEATING AND COOLING 816-322-1013). I called the same day the first guy was out, and Comfort came out, checked the unit as the first guy did, and I was told the cage was the problem.  They were kind enough to explain, how and why.  They didn't have one in stock.  He told me that his parts guy would get a price in the morning and call me at 8am.  8:10am I received a call, and was told that the price (parts and labor) would be $300.
They wouldn't be able to come out until 4.  I was got a call to let me know they were on their way.  The guy came out , put in the cage (I was skeptical). He turned on the A/C and it worked like a champ. (It's been a month).
I asked about the age of the unit and he explained that units around 15 years old should be replaced because parts start wearing out and by the time you're nickeled and dime for each repair, it was more efficient to replace the whole unit.
I cannot recommend Comfort Heating and Cooling enough.

They are not honoring any part of  purchased parts and labor 5-year warranty. The fact that 4eco and Roger the Plumber have merged does NOT invalidate a warranty contract. Same tech as before, exact same sales pitch to pay more and rely on a complete parts and labor warranty. The receptionist did not give me that information over the phone and wasted my time in sending a plumber out. No, I will not be paying again for a replacement 2 years later that you promised under contract would be covered. Class action anyone?

I call them to see if they could come out And replace a faucet and a garbage disposal. They charged me $50 to come and then told me it would be close to $700. I had already purchased the faucet and the garbage disposal. I had thêm leave  because I thought that was ridiculous. I had another company come out and do the work in 45 minutes for $240.   If I could have given them 0 stars I would have but I guess I had to give AM at least one. It's always good to shop around for services.

Quite frankly, I will never call Roger ever again. Terrible customer service and they don't send their technicians with the proper tools to get the job done the first time.

Service is dependent on who is dispatched.  I had been happy with the gentleman that I scheduled on the weekend.  Prices were expensive, but not out of expectation for a real plumber.  However, I was forced to schedule for a Monday service and they sent someone else.  Charged $1,000 for 1.5 hours of labor and zero parts supplied.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to be there, so the payment was provided.  When trying to contact the company to discuss the absurdity of the charge, I was ignored.   Amazing they can stay in business with this type of customer service.  Definitely won't be going back.

My 80 year old parents had a free furnace inspection and was told they needed a $6K replacement. The furnace was working fine. Right after the technician left, the furnace stopped working completely. My parents called another company to see what was going on. They technician asked if someone recently worked on the unit. He found that some wiring was disconnected. A 60 second fix had it up and running..  I can't believe these guys.. They are scamming the elderly ! WTH..

They charged me over $1700 to replace a copper shut off valve..this required saudering. The job is actually over $2000 but if you buy their service club for $119 you get to save money! What a joke-so they can come back a break something else? The guy was in and out with his dirty shoes, left shards of metal and water all over the floor. Dumped some water down the drain and spilled it all over the area rug. One month later I noticed he left our fire alarm covered up! Terrible!!!

Over charged and under delivered.  Wanted to charge me over $1,000 to fix a leaky shower.  When I turned them down and said no thank you, they all of a sudden said they could do it for under $300.
Stay away from them at all costs!
Use Bristol Plumbing instead.

Hire someone else. Job was overpriced and not complete when they left. I had to go buy another part and figure it out on my own. Do yourself a favor and call someone, anyone, else.

Absolutely the BEST service I've ever seen in my life. They came to my rescue when I had the worst plumbing nightmare and they were genuinely more concerned with making the customer happy over making money. They have a fantastic office man named Ryan who dealt with my frantic crying and immediately helped me. The repair man Jason was friendly and awesome, worked efficiently and was very knowledgeable PLUS my dogs loved him. This was an experience that will keep me as a lifelong customer for sure!

My 92 year old Mother's air conditioning stopped working. So I called 4eco services, aka Roger the Plumber. They told her that she needed a new unit. Which would run between $5,000 and $10,000. We called someone else for a second opinion. He fixed her air for $100. He told her that nothing major was wrong with her ac. Another company trying to take advantage of an elderly person. Shame on you!!

The other 2 reviewers had the same experience as me. I had a leaky faucet that I was told couldn't be fixed, but needed to be replaced (fair). The plumber came in and showed me this laminated price list of all their different faucets ranging from like $400-$1000. When I was shocked at the price he offered to give me the # of a friend who could do it for cheaper. No way. I ended up finding a local handy man and for about $100 for the faucet & $40 for the service I believe I dodged a bullet.

The service and the technician were wonderful. He did a good job. I had a broken shower valve and I wanted to get it fixed without cutting a bigger hole in the wall. He said he had to have room to work and would have to cut a 16 x 10 inch opening behind the shower valve. He only had the most basic valve and only shiny chrome visible parts. I asked about upgrading to a different valve and he said that it would be much more expensive. I could not get him to tell me exactly how much more and he finally said the price might be double. After loosing every argument with him I gave in because I wanted to be done with everything. In the end 3 hrs of labor and $190 of parts the charged me $1,598. If that appeals to you then they are your plumber but from now on I'm referring to him as Roger the Bandit. I'm all for living wages but the technician wasn't getting paid an enormous amount of money, just the owners. Being without water for two days made me do something stupid-agreeing to the work-but I guess that's part of their business strategy.

They scammed me twice. Once on free furnace inspection that would cost me $900 plus labor. Got a second opinion and found nothing was wrong.  Second on the new water heater. The tech drained and cleaned the water heater then as he was going around the house to get the air out of  the pipes.. allegedly broke one of the faucets in the master bedroom it cost me $300 to replace the two faucets with a much cheaper contractor grade. I do fall into the older age group but I didn't just fall off of the turnip truck. Scammers !! beware!!

Called this plumber company after seeing their tv ad for the $59 ac tune up. They showed up on time and was nice. He spent about 30 minutes inside and out then rang the doorbell and said he needed to show me what he found. Without going into great detail what the conclusion was is that we needed $8,000 worth of work and replacement parts!!  One thing he did say is that our filter was not installed properly and the fix was a $250 addition to the unit. I listened and told him I was not going to do the work but he said if we didn't we had a chance of dying when the heat came on due to leaking C02. I told him no and asked what he did. He said that the $59 was just to look at the unit. I reluctantly gave him my cc. I then called another HVAC company after a recommendation from a friend. They came and I showed him what the previous guy had given to me regarding the required repairs. He said he'd look at all of it. After an hour he came upstairs and laughed saying the guy was a liar and a thief. All we needed was a new filter and a small repair that was $39. He told me that many of these big plumbing/HVAC guys are paid commission that's why they do what they do. The net net... this is a scam and a terrible company so do not call them!!!

Our shower drain in the master bathroom either went on strike or simply died from consuming too much human hair.

Adam did a quick, professional job of snaking the drain pipe, which required 45 feet (full length) of his plumber's snake tool, and almost an hour of his time.

The estimate was accurate and he spent additional time with us, discussing which possible screens we should buy, to cover the drain, and protect it from further debris.

This company should be ashamed of itself for the way they swindle you.   On June 2, 2022, they replaced two shut-off valves in my laundry room and repaired a leaky faucet.  They charged me $823 for these three items, and I found out later that the total cost of the parts was less than $30!  Plus, they sold me an extended warranty.  Of course, being a single, older woman, I fell for it since they were so nice, thinking I could trust them.  They definitely took advantage of me.  In addition, I was going to have them replace some bathroom faucet fixtures, but for whatever reason, they said that because of the type of plumbing I had, they would have to uninstall and reinstall all new plumbing to stay up to code.  The cost would be around $2,100 each, and I had two.  So, I told them no.  In exchange for a review, they told me the part I needed so another person could install it.  So, I gave them a good review; just wondering where I put it, but I definitely need to find and update it!!!  Again, I thought they were saving me big bucks.  What a rip-off.  Buyers beware!!!

Unfortunately I have to give one star to give a review. I received the letter about selling their business and I make an appointment to have my heater checked. I called last week and today was the day bwt 10-12 pm to arrive.  I get a call at 10:15am saying they are canceling it and wants me to reschedule to next week. I took the morning off, rearranged my entire day and the gal says she just found out there is other people who need us more.
Poor customer service! There is an old saying fool me once....

When first walking in Chris (employee) asked for my husband instead of addressing me on what the problem was. Then when I gave him the information he asked me to call my husband so he could get a better understanding. We had our unit installed less than 2 years ago and on the back of all the paper work it says 2 years guaranteed work. He proceeded downstairs was gone for 5 minutes. Came back upstairs and sat in my upholstered chair (that now smells like smoke) to tell me that the short in my system was probably our fault and I would be charged $286 so they could find the short. I told him we had a warranty and he again stated it was probably our fault. I told him to go fix it but was extremely flustered with the false advertising of free labor. He opened the door to my downstairs and proceeded to tell his counterpart you can't please everyone I told him not to talk about me in my own home. They were downstairs for less than 5 minutes and the air was on. I believe before I was charged the $286 to find the issue that he already knew what the issue was. He again sat down in my chair to have me sign stating he fixed it. Very frustrated to feel insulted in my own home and the lack of respect for myself and my furniture which now smells like smoke. I will not be recommending this business.
