HISTORY

Established in 2000.
Jim Glasgow, a Midwest native, started his career in plumbing in 1991 after serving his country oversees in Desert Storm. His time as a journeyman plumber offered the training and expertise to expand his skillset from residential work to large commercial projects. Jim received his Master Plumber license, and in 2000, took a leap of faith by starting an independent plumbing company for residential work in the Kansas City area. By God's grace, his business began to grow through word-of-mouth referrals, and this laid the foundation for what is now Genesis Plumbing. A one-man operation quickly grew into to a full service team of talented men and women serving the Greater Kansas City area for over 20 years.

Doug is our plumbing manger that has brought to our team over 25 years experience. He prides himself on being fair to customers and being on time. He knows how valuable the customer's time is and that they have a lot of choices on other companies to call. Genesis came out yesterday is replace my water heater and I couldn't be happier. They quoted me a fair price and were able to fit me in the same day I called. I paid exactly what they quoted me when I made the appointment, not a penny more. I'm so accustomed to service folks finding extra problems that will cost me more money once they show up and Genesis didn't do that at all. They also did a free plumbing inspection of all my sinks and toilets to make sure they were working properly. I will absolutely call on Genesis again for my plumbing needs.

The original guys that came out were great! Then the issues started when they were supposed to come and actually fix the issue. Lots of communication issues with scheduling etc. Finally called another plumber that will come and finish the job.

I had a bad experience with this company, I was driving west bound 70 this week when one of their trucks were a head of me and starting losing gravel all over the highway doing damage to my vehicle and others. I called the company and as a result they won't do anything about it. I guess if this is how they conduct business, I sure wouldn't hire them, pretty sad they won't take ownership.

On June 16th, I called for service for a slow drain in my bathtub. Someone was able to get out immediately and I was charged $180. To my dismay it is August 28th and I am having the same problem again. I called and was told that there was only a 30-day warranty on the parts and that I would be charged another $274 for an after-hours technician to come back to look at the same tub. I will not be using their services again.
