I am a Master Plumber with 25+ years of experience in commercial and residental construction and service plumbing. I began my career in the plumbing union apprenticeship program, going to school in the evenings to learn my trade and working during the day with many very experienced journeymen plumbers. I transitioned to the private sector and expanded my plumbing knowledge with all facets of certifications and continued education. After 15 years of working for the larger corporate plumbing companies I felt I could give customers a more rewarding experience if I started my own business. The old fashion plumber that knows you by your first name and has your best interest in mind has been sorely missed. That's my goal.

I'm a Lee's Summit plumber that began my career as a college student that had changed his major 5 times and realized I didn't like office work and needed a career. I tested into the plumbers union apprenticeship and worked 6 and a half years working by day and apprentice school at night. I worked in commercial and industrical construction before transitioning to residential service. I spent the next 14 years working for the larger local plumbing service contractors learning home plumbing diagnostics and repair along with customer service. I felt I could give a better customer experience and started my own business in 2012. I now serve my friends and neighbors in the Lee's Summit and surrounding areas giving my customers the kind of experience they should be able to expect from all contractors. True to the other reviews I read: Jerry was super-fast to respond when I originally reached out via his website. Before the day was over we were able to schedule a time for him to come check out my multiple plumbing issues! To my delight & surprise he was able to fix a leaking sink & running toilet. My other 2-3 issues were really non-issues & he didn't pressure me to spends hundreds of dollars to fix things that either were working or had a cheaper & just as good solution/fix. I'll definitely reach out to Advocate plumbing down the road when I need to replace my sump pump & upgrade a toilet!
I decided on this plumbing company bcuz i saw the reviews. Glad i did cuz Jerry came over, was very professional (you just don't know these days) and replaced my toilet like a breeze. He's the guy i will call if i ever have another issue. Thinking about a rain showerhead now Jerry, so get ready. Lol
Jerry was very quick with his response to my plumbing issues. He was very generous with his time and very professional. I will definitely trust him with my future plumbing issues.

I am pretty disappointed in Advocate Master Plumber. I needed a new shutoff valve in my home. Jerry came out and replaced it with a shark bite ball valve but charged me $320 parts and labor. Being a single Mom and not knowing about trusting someone to charge you a fair price and not taking advantage, I paid it. It was only after talking to my brother that I found out I was grossly overcharged. National average of installing a shut off valve is between $173 to $208, which sounds reasonable. What I was charged for after 1 hour of work not so much, I would not recommend him to anyone.

Jerry came in and took care of our PVC piping in no time. He used this special colored cleaner, it stains the pipe purple and I looked and can't find any drips. I could have done the job but there's no way it would have looked anywhere near as clean. What a quality looking job, and he did it at a fair price.

Wow. I thought I had a serious problem with an outside faucet. It turned out to be a minor adjustment that Jerry made and not charge me! I know if someday I really have a big problem I will call Advocate. Thanks for your help and honesty Jerry - refreshing!

Jerry is the absolute best! He has helped me on three occasions and he is very reasonable, genuine, friendly and really knows his stuff. I have a modest amount of plumbing skills and Jerry is able to take over when I can't handle something with professionalism and high expertise.

I had an issue with my water heater. I had two other companies telling me two different issues. I wanted a third opinion and reached out to Advocate master plumbing. I explained the problem of this one pipe leaking. Advocate Master plumbing explain what the problem was including sending me website links to explain what was going on. Jerry told me what the cost would be depending on the two things I may need to replace. I appreciate the time he took to explain what the issue was and how to fix it in simple terms. He was very professional and easy to work with. I will definitely be using Advocate Master Plumbing in the future!

I am so impressed by Jerry at Advocate Master Plumbing. I had another company come out and tried to get me for a grand total of $475 to fix a sewer gas smell. I called Jerry and told him my issue. He told me to investigate three areas that the smell could be coming from and he was right! I was able to poor some pine sol down the catch all area of the bathroom sink and the problem was fixed! I will call Jerry from here on out with any plumbing issues I have!
I had to call Jerry after five o'clock today, and he answered right away. The city of Independence had a sewer main issue a couple weeks ago that affected one or more of our neighbors, and now may be affecting us. Jerry walked me through some steps I could take myself to determine the cause of the sewage back up through our floor drain. He also explained what else may be causing it, how I had been snaking our drain incorrectly, and even recommended another plumbing service who could do what I needed for less than what he would have to charge. Then he told me to call him back and let him know how it goes, and if I had any other questions or needed help with anything else. It's very rare you find anyone like that anymore. I will always be going to AMP from now on, for sure!
If there's such a thing as a remote service call for plumbing, this is it: I'm in AZ, Jerry's in MO. But I needed input on a replacement toilet and I've been hearing for years from his Aunt Buddy what a great plumber Jerry is, so why not? I described exactly what features I was looking for and he told me specifically what to get (Gerber Avalanche). Through Yelp, I found an equally 5* plumber locally and my newly installed throne is perfect. I gather this toilet is not a commoner, as the installer asked if I'd requested that one and looked impressed when I said yes. So good to know there are still service people of skill and integrity looking out for our best interests!

Very fast to respond to fix hot water heater. Checked and fixed other issues it had without charging anything additional. Had bathtub issue that he offered to come out or walk me thru it via phone. Helped me over the phone on the weekend and was very helpful and patient.

Prompt, professional, hard working, knowledgeable , and reasonable. Jerry gives you an estimate and explanation of what is needed before any work is done. You couldn't ask for better. He takes time to show how things work and cleans up after. I have used him several times and will again. You can't go wrong with Jerry Miller doing your project or repair.
Jerry was prompt in his communication and took what I thought would be a difficult job into an easy repair. I appreciated his professionalism. Definitely would use again!
