On Thursday doing my wash when our sewer backed up.  I hate it my husband called More Than Plumbing they had an add in our save on catalog.  They said they would be out following morning this was first time we had heard of the company gotta tell you the Plummer Mike came to our house such a good guy discussed our problem he was very thorough checked everything out.  Cleaned up his mess I was so very impressed he used our coupons and they are from now on our go to company for any plumbing needs.  If you need a plumber give them a call you will be so happy you did I am.

If there is 0 Star option i will select that. Worst service in Plumbing business I have ever seen. This contractor always gets assigned to my house from AHS and never solves the problem fully. Last week I raised Service request with them and they cancelled that Service request without even informing me. I was charged 75 $ and they told AHS that my issue does not exists as i didn't picked the call. Reality is there is no Missed call on my phone.

The jury is still out, went through this company through our home warranty company. I will say my first quick visit the tech that came out was pleasant though when I got the report it wasn't factual, and the claim was denied. I disputed it and they re-Instated claim and sent out the same tech, he was still pleasant, though afterwards no receipt was given after the second visit. We are unsure of exactly what we paid for, there was an additional amount charged outside of the home warranty coverage. I have requested the receipt several times and no response, we have also requested through the home warranty company to clarify what we paid the additional $383 for.

I would say we are less than a week in so it appears the issue is fixed though no receipt and communication is only text messages after you call the phone number.

I will monitor the repair and receipt and update the review as needed.

I would give More Than Plumbing 0 stars if I could, because that's what they deserve. They were assigned to me through my home warranty, or else I would have never considered them given their many abysmal reviews.

One of my showers had poor water flow on the hot water side. The technician Troy was very dismissive of my suggestion that it could be due to a broken shower cartridge (a very common problem which presents exactly as it did in my home). Instead, he claimed that this was a water pressure problem, which made no sense. He said that he had no access to pipes and left within 5 minutes of arriving. That five minutes and wrong diagnosis cost $100. At best he was grossly incompetent. At worst he was fraudulent to make a quick buck. My repeated calls to their customer service afterwards remained unanswered.

I called another plumbing company for a second opinion, and they quickly suggested it was a shower cartridge problem, and the problem was fixed.

All home warranty companies should terminate their contracts with More Than Plumbing, because they are costing customers time, money, and unnecessary frustration.

If I could give a 0 rating I would. They never answer the phone and they are scamming my home warranty company stating they completed my service job without actually doing anything. They were paid out and have my parts and I'm stuck with a broken water heater.

Worse service ever they never answer, they never call you back. They came to my house wait for 2 mins I opened the door and they left, they did not call me saying they were outside or something. I called like 20 times they never answer at any time.

Worst service ever. After 10days of opening a water leak request finally they updated in website of AHS that service got denied even though contractor never showed up, never called me nor picked my call, Cz of them now the water caused more damages to the drywall. They was keep referring to old problems. Find somewhere else Thts reliable. Not recommended at all.

They cost me a $100 dollars for a service call to my home warranty company because the technician said the facet was originally installed wrong 15 years ago. He made this decision because he couldn't loosen a corroded set screw. Sears home warranty denied my claim and kept my $100 copay. But they said More than Plumbing would fix it for $1300 dollars. How he could tell the set screw was improperly installed is beyond my understanding. I think, based on the reviews I read, that this is not a company I would call on my own. Sears assigned them to me. They should have read the reviews. If they are going to partner with someone they should know who they are sending out. I should not have to find out the hard way. I won't be using More than plumbing for anything and I am cancelling my warranty with Sears.

Terrible company - came to my home to snake a drain with no snake.  Sent by American Home Shield 2 times - couldn't resolve the problem on the first visit so I requested a different company but instead sent More Than Plumbing again who I tried to call but I was only able to leave a message.  Never received a call back.  Because of this, I also cancelled my contract with AHS.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Honestly the worst company I have ever worked with.  They were assigned to change my hot water tank by First American. I advise anyone to not use them. They charged over $900 on modifications that would cost most companies about $100. I read the negative reviews prior to having them come out and I thought, surely they can't be that bad. They're even worse than I could have imagined. Good luck trying to get them to answer the phone. Don't believe me, try calling them. I promise they won't answer. All I can say is do yourself a favor and find another company.

Very disappointed with this company, Johnnie came out on June 24th and told me that the main sewer line broke in our home, I filed with our homeowners,  So State Farm has been waiting for the Plumber to contact them, I called twice and I am fuming at this point, here it is July 9th Today I called at 8:00 I wanted to speak with the Manager but again the answering machine, I told them I was going to use there service but if they can't return State Farm or mine call, will have to go with another company it has been two weeks  we are staying in a suite, so now I am forced to find another company. I am totally furious, almost 2 weeks in and still no reply NOT TO MENTION THE COST!
CAUTION: CONSIDER VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY!

More than Plumbing was contracted through American Home Shield (AHS) to repair my pilot light on my water heater that wouldn't stay lit.  Troy came out and after approx 3 min determined that my control panel was locked out and it can't be repaired, it must be replaced.  He sent over the paper work to AHS and the claim was denied.  According to AHS he noted a leak above my unit, AHS interrupted that as a leak in my ceiling.  There is no leak in my ceiling.  I informed AHS that, that information is incorrect. I was informed that the tech needs to call that authorization dept to clarify his wording.  I've called Troy, no answer.  I've left voicemail messages and sent texts, 5 days later still no response.  I contacted the actual office, spoke with Kourtney.  After explaining the situation and sending pictures to support my complaint, Kourtney stated she would contact AHS to see what needs to be done to correct the situation and she would call me back if not today (12/6/21), first thing tomorrow (12/7/21) morning.  I didn't hear anything either of those days.  I tried to call yesterday (12/7/21) no answer and I left a voicemail message with no response.  I've called today and left a voicemail message.  I'm a registered nurse and I work in germ filled COVID environments and hot water is a necessity.  To be treated in this way is unacceptable.

Project: Toilet leak
Had a great experience with Mike from More Than Plumbing.  He was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about our toilet leak.   He answered all of my questions, provided options and context around possible solutions and made sure everything looked better than when he arrived.  Would recommend him to anyone with a plumbing need!

This is not a plumbing company that you want to deal with. Not only will they try to push unnecessary work on you, but they will give try to get you to sign a work authorization form, on which all the costs are left blank, so that they can add whatever numbers they want later on. If you do not sign the form, they refuse to do the work. I went with a different plumber who did not add unnecessary repairs to the bill and was transparent about the pricing.

I have a leak in my basement. Called Monday for service, was told they would be out between 8-12 on Tuesday. Tuesday at 1:00, I hadn't heard from them and no one had shown up. I called them, and was told the tech was running behind and he would be here before five. I had a 1:30 appointment, so I asked to be out first on the schedule for Weds, and was told that someone would be out by 9:30 Weds. Weds at 10:30, no one had shown up, no call. I call them, and am told that he went to a different job but I was next and he would arrive by 11:00. 11:30, no show, no call. I call again. I'm told that he went to another job, and then they told me ( I didn't ask) the exact address where he was. (Watch our they give out other customers addresses), and he would arrive shortly. Finally showed up at noon,  was incredibly rude and refused to look at both leaks that I asked to have looked at.

Update: returned from vacation to find the leak still active. They sent a different guy out, just as incompetent as the last.

This used to be Beck plumbing, they changed their name to hide their terrible reviews but don't fall for it. Find a real plumber.

Update again: after they quoted me 1000 to find the invisible leak, and I chose to get another opinion.... it wasn't a pipe. It was the condeser on the AC causing the water. This company is crap and trying to price gouge people.

If I could give it a no star review I would. They tried to make us pay for unnecessary modifications to our water heater that our warranty company was replacing, but never once did the technician run tests or even see what the real problem was. Previously they tried to tell me it would be 10,000 to replace our sewer ejector pump, which my husband ended up changing himself. Finally got a second plumber out who ran tests and fixed my water heater within 2 hours. I will NEVER give these people my business after they all but admitted they were up charging us because it's hard to make money on service calls with american home shield

We have gotten nothing but runaround with these people!!!!!  First time they came for a sewer backup,  they said their machines wouldn't work in standing water.   Phone calls elicited no response.   Came out again,  for a leak. No leak,  sewer backup!!!!  Never had a leak!!!!!!!!  Now waiting again!!!!  This is insurance paid company.   Do Not use these people!!!!  They are worthless!!!!!

I knew I was in for trouble when Troy, the service technician could not find the clearly marked address.  This company was sent out by American Home Shield, my home warranty company who I called for a clogged toilet in a rental property.  My tenants said Troy quickly came and went.  When I tried calling him to ask what he did and his diagnosis he would not respond and the repair was denied by AHS.  I called the company and asked why they would not contact me if the repair was not covered and give me an estimate instead of walking away, Courtney said she would get back to me with an estimate and of course never did.

I will NEVER call this company for any plumbing needs.

I've been working with MTP on a service request through my warranty company since June (it's now September). It's been a back and forth battle between the two to get a camera approved to diagnose an issue. I called MTP today to let them know the latest after talking with my warranty company.  

What do they tell me?  Oh, our camera broke and we no longer have it, so you should contact your warranty company and have them assign the ticket to someone else.  Talk about a slap in the face, especially after working with them since June to get this camera approved.  

And on top of that, they keep telling me the camera is never going to be approved.  Why do they care...that's my issue with my warranty company.  But to just tell me oh by the way, our camera broke, so have your company assign the ticket to someone else...what a way to wipe your hands clean of the whole situation.  Customer service at it's worst.

I hate to even give this company 1 Star! We submitted a claim to our warranty company on 10/30/21 and they sent a guy out on 11/4/21. He lifted the lid to the crock, wrote up the quote and called the warranty company for approval. He was outside for 15 minutes (longer than it took him examine our sump pump). He came back in and said I hate to be the bearer of bad news but they denied the claim. On his quote he stated that the sump pump was missing a check valve followed by it will be $625 if you want me to fix it. I told him no thanks, I'll call the warranty company and have my husband look at it. On 11/6/21 my husband went down to fix it and low and behold when he pulled the sump pump out he discovered that there was a check valve on the sump pump! I immediately contacted the warranty company who agreed that there was a check valve on the sump pump and reopened the claim through More than Plumbing. I contacted them 11/8/21 to see if it were possible to come on 11/11/21 because I was off (veterans day) and the receptionist was extremely rude, she replied no, I can only do Friday. I explained the reason behind my request (I'd already lost one days pay the first time he came out) and she replied, I can't before I was even finished then told me that it wasn't her fault and pointed out that she had to send a guy over 100 miles to do the job. None of this is my fault but we are the ones that are paying because of an incompetent plumbers' error. DO NOT hire this company to do any work for you! Had it not been warranty work, I never would have had them out because of all the reviews I read online about how horrible this company is. Save yourself the headache and hire someone competent, reputable and respectful!

I had a great experience with Troy from More than Plumbing coming to repair my toilet under my home warranty. He was friendly, professional, and took care of the problem efficiently. He explained why the toilet malfunctioned, and he had the right replacement parts on the truck. Also, both Troy and the trainee were really considerate of my home, using clean shoe coverings and just keeping the whole experience low impact.  (PS:  the location on my Yelp profile says I'm in Washington, but I'm actually in the Ann Arbor area.)

Called out from my home warranty company for a hot water heater. The technician said my tank was over 20 years old and that it didnt make sense to service it. He was going to order me a new tank and it would take three days to come in. He then leaves and closes out the order saying that there is nothing wrong. Charged over $1500 for nothing. This is a compete rip off company. DO NOT HIRE THEM!

We purchased a home warranty, this is the company they referred us to, so naturally I looked them up and the reviews were horrible, I really wanted to call my warranty co and tell them, but I didn't I figured as long as they wore masks I'd give them a try. I was answered immediately, given a day and time, I was told they would call me an hour out, she called, the plumber was friendly, wore a mask and took care of the problem. They are a great company, timely, polite just an all around good experience. So if you're reading these reviews give them a try, you'll be glad you did. I will be using them again for any plumbing problems in the future warranty or no warranty.

Worst company ever to do business with. Very unprofessional. It has been 3 weeks since their tech came out to my home to repair my hot water tank. My family has had to stay in a hotel and we have not gotten anywhere with this company. But rude employees and lack luster service and no return calls from management. My hot water tank went out the beginning of the month. I was referred to this company by my home warranty company (American Home Shield). The tech came out to my home on Sept 2 to access the damage. He told us that our entire tank would need to be replace there was no repairing. He would put the order in and it should take about a week for it to be processed and then he would be back to install once the new tank was in. He assured us this was a priority and would be treated as such.  We have not seen or heard from the guy since. I called my warranty company on the 9th to find out what was going on because no one had contacted me. To be told that my hot water tank has been at Home depot since the 7th and the only person who could pick it up was the tech from the More than Plumbing. So I called this company and was told that they would not be able to pick my tank up and install it for another week due to being short staffed. And that my tech would not be working in my area until the week of the 15th and he is the only person who could do the install because they do not allow tech to work a site that another tech as diagnosed. Which blew my mind since there was nothing diagnosed at my house except the new tank needs to go in. So then I was told that no one techs are available until the 15th. So here we are the week of the 15th and we get a text saying the tech will be out to install between 12-4 he was headed to pick up tank. Tech never shows. Call the company no answer. Left several messages only to get another text message saying they were unaware the tech never showed but they could reschedule for today between 2-6. And here we are again 5:57 no return call and no tech....and still no hot water. I have three children in my home. This has been the biggest inconvenience of my life. My husband and I have spent thousands of dollars now in hotel stays because of this company as a well as the home warranty's bad business practice.   DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT DUE BUSINESS WITH THEM or AMERICAN HOME SHIELD.

They used to go by Beck Plumbing Maintenance and changed names to More than Plumbing.

This business was contracted through American Home Shield - Everything about this company is terrible; I will eat the cost to replace my water heater instead of hiring these frauds after being screamed at on the phone by the tech who wanted to charge for bogus work that didn't need to be performed using scare tactics.

Had an old water heater from the time my house was built that needed replacement (20 years old). More Than Plumbing was sent out through AHS warranty company. Frank showed up and assessed the problem pretty quickly and gave me a quote. Waited a few days for the warranty company to do their job. There were a few modifications to the pipes that needed to be done that the warranty wouldn't cover since water heaters are different sizes than 20 years ago (not that shocking). They were able to schedule as soon as they received the heater from AHS. Frank came out right on time and got to work. Was knowledgeable and professional and got the water heater installed. It was a bit more than I would have liked to pay having a warranty and everything, but hey.... My water heater is replaced and they did the job. Honestly the worst part of the experience was the American Home Shield Warranty company.

I had a technician come out he was super nice.. I had to have my water heater replaced through my home warranty i expected them to cover everything and they did not.. the technician talked me through the none covered price that my warranty was not paying for and it did suck having to pay for a warranty that only covers so much... but they came back out and installed and i have had no problems since very nice guy and great company!!

After three rescheduled appointments, Rich came out to quote my bathroom remodel project. He took notes on the number of items I asked to be quoted. I was told the quote would be sent in a couple of days. After I followed up a week later, I received a 3 line quote of which one line made no sense and numerous items were omitted. For this they charged $65. I called requesting a follow up for a more complete quote. I was told by Rich he would arrive between 3 and 6 but failed to show. Seems like they aren't interested in doing business. Pretty useless....a company to avoid.

More Than Plumbing came out after being sent though First American Home Warranty after we ran into a plugged toilet line. Our technician Scott B came out and assessed the situation. He informed us of the price it would cost to remove the toilet or allow me to do it myself. With the toilet slowly draining he offered to come back after a few jobs he had lined up. He returned at the time he informed us and did his best to unclog the issue. Unfortunately he wasn't able to and contacted our warranty company to let them know someone else with a camera or hydro jet capabilities would have to be sent out. Scott was friendly and honest and very professional. If I had any other plumbing issues I'd hVe no problem having him back out.

Run for your life. These people are home warranty scammers posing as a plumbing company. They will take your money, not fix your issue, and you will never be able to get in touch with them again.

Look up reviews for Beck plumbing. It's the same company. They are guaranteed to rip you off!

Do NOT use this company. More Than Plumbing was sent to my home by American Home Shield to replace a sump pump. The technician told me the pump was a 'lift pump' and not covered by insurance. My fault that I didn't know the difference, but I allowed the tech to continue. He put in a new 'lift pump' and also replaced the laundry tub because he said it was cracked. He then handed me a blank invoice sheet and told me the cost was $1070. I said, There are no amounts on this invoice, and he responded,The office will send you the receipt. I had been told that the receipt would come from the office. I did write in the total cost on the invoice and signed it.
Since the August 23, I have called 5 times to get the material costs and the labor costs from this company. I've been told that they are waiting for the technician to turn in the receipts. Today I was told, We don't do itemized receipts. I asked the hourly labor cost, and was told, I couldn't tell you because it varies. I've called the manager and been told that don't usually do itemized invoices.
American Home Shield is now investigating.
DO NOT get involved with More Than Plumbing!

Update from 7 weeks ago. I am fighting with More Than Plumbing to refund $2,625 that they charged my credit card and did ABSOLUTELY NO work. This company is a fraud and it appears that I will have to take them to court. BUYER BEWARE!

Technician came to the house, but instead of fixing the sump pump simple issue, he tried to find another excuse for the issue to be not covered by the warranty plan. Off course , he left me with an estimate of $1675 to repair an issue that cost me $0 by another company under my warranty plan. please pay clear attentions to those folks who think that homeowners are stupid.

This was the worst company I have ever dealt with. The woman in the office who tried to charge me more than the warranty people told me I was going to have to pay. (Maybe she wanted me to buy her lunch or something) when I told her it was more She was rude, called me a liar and even tried to threaten me by calling my warranty company because she said we had to be scamming the company ( My warranty company was paying for something she didn't think they should)  I asked her who her boss was and she told me it was her. When I finally got her to agree she had a person that she answered to I asked for that persons name and she told me that she didn't have time for this!!!!!  The gall of this person was unbelievable. I called my warranty company and reported them and needless to say they will not be getting our business ever, and if you are not into being overcharged and talked to poorly you won't use them.  The only reason they got a one star rating is because I couldn't post without a star.  They don't deserve a one star rating at all.

I would have not chosen this company on my own based on their already bad reviews, but our Home Warranty Company choose them.  I gave them a chance they came out and Jason the plumber said that the system we have shouldn't go out for 20 years so the previous owners probably put a sumb pump in.  A quick search of the part after he left told me that was not true and these pumps do not normally last 20 years.  Then the first lie happened when he told me he tried to call in a request to our warranty company and they must be closed for the Holidays.  He did not place this call as I was standing there the whole time.  A week later he still hadn't submitted his invoice to our home warranty company they had to call him several times to request the work order.  Then when he finally submitted it he claimed we put baby wipes in the tank and that broke it.  First we don't own baby wipes and never have so that is impossible.  Second there is no way he could make that claim based on not pulling the lid of which he did not do.  Stay far away from this company.  They are not responsive and are not honest.

These guys are scam. I did not realize that they were called Beck plumbing before. I guess the name change does not mean their behavior or ethics will change. Called them for a jammed food disposer. The guy told me there was a spoon jammed and he cannot remove it so he will replace it for $420 since warranty company won't cover this. I came home  took the disposer out and pulled the spoon out with  pliers. He could have done it himself but was greedy to make additional $420 over the $75 I had to pay the warranty co for a service call. Stay away from these scammers.

Beware and do not use More Than Plumbing.  This company was contracted through American Home Shield. Upon arrival, the plumber asked me to sign him in to start work. What I signed was the invoice stating the assigned work was completed.  This plumber had no interest in making a repair despite the water damaged drywall in my kitchen ceiling due to the leaking toilet and a water valve on the toilet that does not shut off the water when closed.  He insisted that everything was normal and that their was no part failure.  I reminded him of the kitchen ceiling which I showed him upon entering my home and he stated that it may have been leaking before but it's not leaking now.  Upon my insistence that he do something, he loudly stated that this is bull $*** and that he did not know what I wanted him to do.  I told him that it was BS that have turn the water off from the main shut off and convince a plumber that there is a problem when the below drywall is wet and damaged.  He abruptly said that he was going to leave and not do anything at which point I demanded that he get out of my house.
