Great experiences with both Vern, who provided our estimate, and his team, who completed a series of small jobs for us. They were courteous and forthcoming whenever issues arose, which increased my knowledge and allowed me to to make informed decisions. I will hire them again and again as we update the plumbing in our 1940s bungalow.

Just has a great experience with this company. We had a water heater leak that needed repair. There was a lot that we liked about the service we received.

1) The staff answering phones is courteous and actually slows down and listens to your questions.
2) We were able to schedule an appointment relatively quickly
3) Bison send a text with pictures of the plumbers that would be coming to the house...very nice security measure
4) After inspecting our water heater, the plumbers offered us options to either repair or replace the heater. Offering pros and cons for both options, we never felt pressured into a more expensive option.
5) Once we decided to replace, they were able to finish the job the same day. I was expecting to have to schedule a return visit
6) The plumbers Daniel and Patrick were very clean and took the time to make sure that they didn't leave a trace of their visit

All in all, this was a great company to work with and would highly recommend.

We had Bison Plumbing install some shut off valves and a toilet after we had new hardwood floors installed.  We wanted to make sure we had a back up should something start leaking and the near the sink valves leaked for some reason.  The folks showed up on time, gave us an upfront price and worked efficiently.  So far so good.  Plumbing is expensive but these two gentlemen were very pleasant to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to call Bison Plumbing again.

We have used Bison for few different issues we had in our home. They are always on time and text when they  on the way.

They are professional and thorough with every plumbing issue  they have fixed  for us.  We  highly recommend them!

This company sends out very young men that don't know what they are doing ! They told me my main drain couldn't be snaked ! I asked why they said not sure our cameras couldn't pick up
Anything ! Then sent me a quote for 3,800 dollars to dig up my yard ! How do you give someone a quote on something when u don't even know what the problem is ?! I had another company come out the next day had it snaked In 5 minutes ran a camera said all looks good ! I feel like I was being scammed !  I would definitely not recommend them in any way !

I had a leak in my basement when I ran the kitchen sink so I gave Bison plumbing a call.   They were able to identify the problem (cast iron pipe rotted out in wall) and come up with a solution (redo plumbing from kitchen sink to basement drain with PVC pipe).  They gave me a quote which ended up being $250 less than all the three other quotes I ended up getting.  

The install went smooth.  They showed up on time and took half a day for the job which is what they quoted me.   Pictures of the job attached to this post.  

I've also used Bison plumbing for a smaller job and they again were very professional and cheaper than other companies.   I will continue to use Bison Plumbing in the future!

We had called to have a leak fixed. they came and we were not happy with their initial work so they came back out and sent two plumbers who did thousands of dollars of work FOR FREE to make sure we were happy! Great service!

They replaced a sink faucet for me & that turned out good. Called them back for another issue & the technicians couldn't remove a screw from a drain cover. I was charged & they left. I immediately went & completed the repair myself which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. Was disappointed.

We recently had some water in our basement early morning hours.  We called multiple places (not Bison!)  and was able to get someone to come out.  Long story short, they wanted to jackhammer up our basement for a cracked pipe, but they had already packed up the camera so we couldn't see the cracked pipe.  It didn't sound right to my husband and I, so we didn't do it.  While dealing with the plumber we called the City of Warren.  When they city came out, we were given a list of plumbers and the guy said Call one of these guys.  We work with them all the time, and they will not rip you off..  We felt if the city was willing to recommend a company, they must work with them regularly and do good work.

We wanted to get a second opinion on the pipe, so we called Bison.  The guy my husband spoke to was very nice.  They had Saturday hours so we were able to have them out at a time that was good for us, and it wasn't considered an emergency service. Bonus!  Two techs came to the house, I wish I knew their names, but they were great.  They got to work right away putting a camera down a few of the clean-outs in the basement.  Within a few moments they said I don't see a crack.  Your pipes are in really good shape..  They explained everything we were seeing on the camera, what type of pipes are in our house and area, and how we have a tie-in with our neighbors.  Both techs almost immediately said what the other plumber told us was wrong and if there was a crack, they should have shown it to us on the camera.

These two professionals gave us peace of mind that our original decision was correct.  Then we felt a bit mad that we were about to get ripped off by the other guys. Lol  It is nice to know that we now have a plumber when we need one and we feel we can trust them, and they are not just trying to make a buck off of us.  I will recommend them to anyone I know needing a plumber.

they are a scam. send them to one of my rental on Nov 4th for snake the bath tube and sink. they showed up as scheduled, didn't snake the bath tube or the sink. removed the toilet, didn't try to snake the toilet, put the toilet back on without the wax ring. removed the cover to the crawl space, left on the side when they left. went under the crawl space and told me the kitchen sink is leaking. Afterwards, I could not get hold of them, have to send in another plumber to take care of the problem they were suppose to take care of. The other plumber gave me a report as follows. 1. the kitchen sink is not leaking as Bison claimed. 2. The toilet is leaking because they didn't put the was ring back in there. 3. The bath tube and sink are not snaked and has large hairball on it.

Ray and someone else came out to snake a drain Saturday morning. Was on time, even a few minutes early. Great price, only $65 to snake a floor drain. At that price you must have a coupon from their website. Fast and professional. Highly recommend.

Vern and Dave came by to clean out my sewer line as preventive maintenance. I also had them booked to snake a sink drain in my bathroom. Vern evaluated my sink and wasn't sure it actually needed to be snaked... within 10 minutes he said 'you're all set- it was just a hairball and I got it out. No reason to charge to for snaking-- it's now draining like a champ'
They were in and out within about 40 mins- used a drop cloth to keep things neat. Very professional and honest!

I called them at about 3:00 PM on Wednesday and was told it would be Thursday between 9:00 and 11:00 AM before they could come , they where that busy. I told the lady I needed to do wash and if they could come sooner I would appreciate that.  At 3:45 PM they called to say that someone would be there by 4:15, it took about 15 minutes to run the 100 feet to clear the clog in the main line they did a great job I will be telling others about them.

Had Bison install a sewer liner in our main sewer line, best of all very little digging, if we had the sewer dig up we would of had to replace part of our street and concrete next to our house. The line was over 90 feet and we only had one hole dig up about 3x4 feet. The crew was very professional they left the job site very clean.

Received a next morning appointment for main drain cleanout,service was fantastic,two guys about an hour got us back in business. Very professional and friendly. Highly recommend,I will definitely be calling if some other services are needed.

From the phone call to fix our broken pipe, to the plumber who came out, I was in Awe. The woman who answered my call was so down to earth she felt like I was taking to my best friend!  The service was not only amazing but 1000:times more reasonable than expected.  The plumber was so pleasant and personable that this experience will have me share this company with everyone!

In the process of buying a home and was highly recommended by nearly everyone we had spoken with. Was very knowledgeable in what they were doing, but also explained everything in a way that made sense. Having a master plumber in the family and having them recommend Bison spoke volumes. Will be referring them to anyone who needs plumbing work done.

I called Bison on August 23, 2016 when a foul smell appeared in our bathroom.  Andrew was able to fit us in on short notice, which we greatly appreciated.  When he came he took pictures of the plumbing and told us his boss, Jeff, would call us with an estimate the next day.

TWO FULL DAYS later, I called and spoke to Kathy.  She said she would have Jeff call me.  The NEXT day, Jeff called with an estimate of $1,125 to provide an offset P-trap and bathtub fixtures - which is more than the going rate, but we wanted this in a rush.  I gave him the go ahead and was told parts were ordered and he told me that he would call to schedule the installation.

On September 6, 2016, Ray came to my house to take measurements (meaning the parts had not been ordered).  He told me that he would find the best price for me and I would get a call when they could install.

On September 9, 2016, Andrew returned to the house for the installation - but no one had called to set up the appointment and the only one home was my teenage daughter!  I called and spoke to Vern, who apologized and had Andrew come back in the afternoon.  This meant an unexpected afternoon off, but we needed the shower fixed, so we were glad to have Andrew come back.  When he began the installation, he found that the parts were the wrong size.

On September 14, 2016 I called to speak to Jeff, the owner.  I explained that I was frustrated by the lack of communication throughout the process and wanted to know when we could get this wrapped up.  He told me that he would call and see when the part could be shipped and maybe he could ask for express shipping.  We were more than two weeks from the initial call!  He told me if it could be in by Friday, he could do a Saturday installation - and wouldn't charge me for all the extra trips.  For real?!  Those extra trips were mistakes on his end!

On September 17th, Andrew was finally able to complete the installation and did a great job (I even gave him money to buy himself birthday lunch).  I asked him to have Jeff email me a detailed invoice and give me a call about my experience.  As of today, I have seen and heard nothing from Bison, but a full charge to my credit card.

Andrew went above and beyond.  I would write a glowing review for him, but my experience with Bison Plumbing was nothing but bull.

Outstanding job, had many plumbing problems fixing a leak under my cement slab ,replaced plumbing fixtures and cleared the drains. When Pat and Joe arrived they went right to work they were friendly and knowledgeable fixed all these problems would highly recommend Binson Plumbing to anyone looking for a plumbing contractor excellent experience

Have used Bison Plumbing for several years from having replacement of sump pumps, snake the sewer lines, toilet floats, upgrading the bathroom faucets and repairing the leaking joint connectors under the sink to replacing the garbage disposal.
Today they took apart the garbage disposal to see if it could be repaired instead of my having to buy a new one. It couldn't be fixed so they had to install a new one.
Joe and Pat were the plumbing crew today. Polite, efficient and thorough in their explanation of their work that had to be done. So appreciated the offer of an additional discount for being a loyal customer.

This company is like finding a needle in a haystack.  The level of honesty is almost unbelievable.  I am so happy I found them and no longer have to worry about being taken advantage of.  Although I can't disclose what they did for me (because then everyone might expect them to do the same!) I can tell you I was shocked by the honesty of the technician and it spoke volumes about this company and their work ethic.  You will not be sorry calling on them- I can promise that! You'll be a customer for life!

Thank you so much for getting my kitchen sink operating again! The guys came, Vern & Dave and snaked my drain and replaced my leaking pipes and did it in a timely manner and were very friendly. They even answered my questions and came me tips on drain maintenance. I am very pleased! I went with Bison because my son had used them in the past and was satisfied and now so am I. If I have anymore plumbing issues in the future I will for sure be calling them again.

I know the bare minimum when it comes to plumbing so I had to rely on Yelp to find someone... Half my house wouldn't drain (shower/toilet) and started leaking into my basement called at 11 am and was told they were busy but could give me a 2-4 window same day so I jumped on it and glad I did. Got a call a bit before 3 telling me Vern was going to be there in about 20 minutes and he was. Explained the situation and within 10 minutes not only did he have the shower drained but explained what had caused the leak (and yes I had questions but he was patient and willing to answer). Within an hour he and Dom had snaked the drain to remove any of the obstructions that had caused the issues in the first place. I would recommend this company easily and am going to keep the card on my fridge in case I have any other plumbing issues in the future.

I had a clogged drain that caused a back up in my basement. Bison had good reviews on yelp so I gave them a call.
The lady that took my call was very friendly, I explained my issue and she was able to get me a tech that day.
Two techs came out that were very nice and knowledgeable. Vern and his associate came in and got the job done right away, answered any questions we had and explained everything.
Bison Plumbing is my go to plumber now and would recommend them.

Awesome.  Unfortunately I can't remember the 2 young gentleman that services my tub on a Friday morning but they were great!  I had a clogged tub for almost 2 weeks and I was done with the self remedies.  So, based on the reviews of Bison I gave them a call and they did not disappoint.  I called in the morning around 930am and was told I could have service over between noon and 1pm.  The dispatcher called me back about 45 mins. later and said they finished a job early and could come on by that morning and 15 minutes later, they were there.  The entire job took about 20 minutes and they left no mess behind.  Very polite, professional and showed up early!  I will absolutely use Bison for all my plumbing needs.  Thanks fellas!

We wanted to replace our shower head. The existing fixture was attached to a ball joint pipe and to replace the head, the entire pipe coming out of the wall had to be replaced. Sounds easy, right? No! The previous owners over-threaded the pipe into the wall where it could not be seen.

My father owns his own heating and cooling business and he's experienced in piping and no task is ever impossible for him, except this one. We tried everything to take that part off with no end. It was obvious we needed an experienced plumber so I went on Yelp and searched for some in my area. Bison had a very high rating and raving reviews so I decided to give them a call. The representative that answered my call gathered some information, was able to give me a ball park estimate so I had an idea of what to expect and was able to send someone out the next day. I did not bother calling around as Bison met my expectations of a professional company.

I was given a 2 hour time frame and received a call when they were on the way. Andrew arrived right at the start of that window. He was very knowledgable and he was giving us options of what can be done as he couldn't get the pipe off either.

He spent about an hour trying to remove that pipe so we wouldn't have to spend a lot more opening the walls and he finally was able to get it!

Like I said, if my dad couldn't do it then I was pretty sure no one could! I was super impressed and so thankful for all of his help!

We will be remodeling our bathroom in the future and we will definitely be giving them a call when we are ready! Trust them!

My wife and I reached out to Bison due to the floor drain in our basement backing up. We called them around 9am and they were able to squeeze us in same day. They gave us a window of 1-3pm and showed up just after 3pm which wasn't an issue for us. They called my wife before arriving letting us know when to expect them.

They showed up and attempted to clean out the drain blockage but didn't have the required equipment in their truck. They took it upon themselves to go to their shop and grab sufficient equipment to properly perform the job at hand. Once they returned they were able to rid the drain of the tree roots and other items causing the blockage. They took the time to show us the camera view of the pipes and explain to is the process what they did. They also provided additional knowledge and tips for maintaining the drains. Once done the gentlemen that helped us out even provided some additional info regarding long-term work that we could have done to shore up the plumbing.

I'd recommend Bison plumbing as they were extremely knowledgable and kind. There were a few bumps with them showing up 20 minutes after the 1-3pm window and not having the sufficient equipment but they were able to remedy the issue and at an affordable price! Thanks, Bison!

Great service, courteous personnel, fair prices. I'd been screwed over by two other plumbers before finding Bison. It's very comforting to know that when I have a plumbing problem, I know a plumber I can trust.

My husband and I have used Binson a few times and they have always been helpful and did great work. Roots are terrible for our pipes in Royal Oak so we will have them come snake it once a year  Thank you!

Yes, this is a 5 star review for a plumbing business.  I'm just as shocked as you.

As a woman with long hair, several pets, no in-sink garbage disposal, and male house guests who elect to shave off their gnarly beards above my bathroom sink- I've gotten pretty good at cleaning out blockages in my pipes.  I know how to snake a drain, take apart a p-trap, install new pipes, etc.  I've lived in my old 1920's house for 5 years with multiple issues that I've tackled without the assistance of a plumber.  Not much phases me.

However, when funky water started gurgling up in my basement shower whenever I ran a load of laundry, I was stumped.  And not just stumped- freaked out.  Homegirl doesn't really want to tangle with anything concerning sewage lines.

I didn't look around for a plumber- I called the first one I saw in a local newspaper.  The fact that their motto is no bull was cute, but not really a selling point.  What did intrigue me was the no dig method of sewer repair, the drain jetting, and the sewer camera.  The year prior I had witnessed a neighbor have his yard ripped apart for an extremely expensive sewer repair; I figured if my drain issue was major, these guys could probably handle it better than the conventional plumber my neighbor used.

The service tech came out on time, calling and confirming his arrival beforehand.  He made a point of using my side door to avoid messing up my house with snow and debris from the sewer snake.  Apparently it was a simple matter of tree roots growing from the storm line into the main sewer line through an old-timey junction that the 1920's builder thought was a smart choice.  Nothing big.

I asked about applications of RootX (the previous owner of the house had recommended that I get them every year- of course I didn't listen), and after discussing how long I had been in the house without incident, the tech said I could likely steer clear.  Drain cleaning was $65; RootX treatments are $185.  It was hugely refreshing to deal with someone who was upfront about cost vs benefit.

Overall, they were professional, efficient, willing to work around my crazy schedule, and cheap.  If I ever need plumbing services again, I'll definitely use them.

Lady at the office is a bit rude but that hardly warrants 1 star- especially when a professional like Vern provides the excellent service he did for the basement plumbing. He arrived on time, explained the whole process to me, answered my admittedly multiple questions, and provided valuable advice about the mechanics of my house.
The visit was $110 and lasted 45 min (less time than I spent on yelp and the phone looking for a plumber).
If you need a plumber call these guys!

Had a backed up kitchen sink. Josh and Jesse reconfigured the drain line fixing the problem. Very prompt, professional and courteous. Price was fair for Grosse Pointe. This is the 2nd time I've used Bison and will plan to continue to be a customer. Last time, in November a team bored out the main sewer line clearing some roots. Would recommend Bison!

I never leave reviews on Yelp but I wanted to let people know about my great experience with Bison. My sewer line was backing up and they came out the same day I called. They tried snaking the line but were unable to get all the way through it. They ended up having to use the hydro jet and now the pipe is all clear.  They allowed me to watch and I could see all the roots they cleared out with the scope they had in the pipe. They did a great job. Not only were all the people I dealt with very nice and knowledgeable the price they charged me was very reasonable. I will be calling them back for future maintenance on my sewer line. Thank you Bison Plumbing.

This is the first time I had to call a plumber and decided to give them a try based on the Facebook, Google and Yelp reviews. They showed up promptly and had my slow bathroom drain snaked and flowing again in under an hour for $65.

Great job! Came out withing 2 hours on the afternoon of New Years Day. Couldn't be happier with the job and the professionalism of the two gentlemen they sent out. They were done within an hour. And a great price. Will be calling them again if I ever need anything else.

I had called and spoke with Connie about what I needed done.  She was delightful and set up the quote appt.  Vern and another gentleman (sorry didn't get his name) came to give me the quote and I had a laundry list of items that needed fixing.   I was nervous about getting the quote because of the costs that I had paid with other local plumbers for simple fixes. I was extremely happy about the quote and couldn't wait to set up an appt to have everything done.   My husband said that Andrew and the another gentlemen (sorry I didn't get his name) were very professional and he was very pleased with their work.  I will be calling Bison Plumbing for my maintenance work going forward.   Oh, one of the items I had them fix was the washers on my kitchen sink because faucet had a drip.   They fixed the drip but they did more than that...they noticed the one handle on  my faucets was installed wrong and they fixed it and it was not on my list of items that I wanted fixed, they were awesome.  I would highly recommend Bison Plumbing.

We had a leaky pipe for our bathtub.  We called today and they came over same day, fixed the pipe very quickly.  They even snaked my drain.  If we have any other plumbing issues, we will definitely be calling them again.  The cost to repair was a great price.  I highly recommend them!

In April came out 2 times,Horrible work ethics and didn't finish the job. One month to date it clogged again. call BBB to complain.

we tried to fix our leaky bathtub faucet ourselves - turned off the water and ended up with water leaking into the basement - what a mess - called Bison plumbing and got immediate info on how to stop the leak, and same-day, courteous and professional service - and at a great and fair price! I will definitely call these guys for any plumbing issues in the future!

I had a problem with my bathroom sink, a pipe had to be replaced and it had to be snaked. I took a chance on using Bison Plumbing based on the yelp reviews. I called them at 4:30pm on Tues. and left my information with the woman at the office. She was friendly and she took down details of the plumbing problem. My call was returned within 30 mins. by Vern. Because it wasn't an emergency and it was the end of the day he came the next morning, but he would've come by that evening if I had asked. I had read in previous reviews that Vern was great, and I will now say the same. He is very friendly, efficient and will answer all your questions. I also expect plumbing work to be expensive. He was here about 50 mins. and the total came to $225, but again I had to get parts/plumbing replaced and then he snaked out the pipes for good measure. I was expecting to pay around $300, so I didn't complain. I would recommend Bison Plumbing for sure and will use them again if needed.

I had a clogged tub drain.  I also had a toilet that would not stop running.   I had bought the guts and new valve for the toilet but couldn't do the work myself. I called Bison on Wednesday they were here Thursday.   Ken and his help were great.  Very polite and got the work done quickly.   I thought the cost was very reasonable.   Bison Plumbing is the one I will call in the future.  I need to update my review.  I have now used Bison many times as I own an older home.  They are great!  If you need a plumber call Bison!
