Bennett Plumbing & Heating

I called them this morning to repair my water heater and they arrived within an hour.  When they saw it he said it couldn't be repaired and had to be replaced. They replaced it and dragged out the old heater. All was done within a couple hours.  Excellent service and very helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I'm in hot water.  Yea!  That's a good thing.  Bennett Plumbing & Heating came to my rescue and replaced my broken water heater.  I called at 8am and the job was done by midday.  Very helpful, professional, and neat.  Last year they were the subcontractor on a major job I had done on my house, and I also contracted them to replace a furnace/AC unit.  I would definitely recommend them.

Bennett plumbing are very honest and hard working.  I got my European wall hung Toilet with a Gerberit Tank installed inside the wall.

GREAT experience. He talked to me respectfully and explained several options for the repair. He was also incredibly affordable and didn't go for the big repair just to make money. He gave me options and timing and next steps so I could make an educated decision.

Everything went smooth and timely and finished at exactly the price he quoted me so not unexpected charges like some other contractors have pulled.

He worked hard, fast and efficient and left me good about the update to the plumbing in my home.

Say they will call and schedule to come out and big shocker they never call.  I will never bother trying to use them again.  Sticking with McCarthy!

Bennett just did some work for me on a gas line in my house.  They've done a lot of work for my parents in the past and my parents were always pleased.

To make a long story short, they did a great job and were about $300 cheaper for a job that I had another plumbing company quote. In fact, the other plumbing company said they would have to drill a hole through my back wall and run the pipe outside and then back in the house, costing the extra bucks.

Not so, said Bennet. They kept the pipe in the house and did a great job, saving me $300. Everything is working and I'm happy. You will be too if you use Bennett Plumbing in Dearborn.

First off, I'll start by saying I haven't had work done by these guys.  However, I got left stranded.  I had them quote the job and originally picked someone else who fell through.  Then, I went back to Bennett the Friday before Memorial day and let him know of final changes to the quote.  No work from them until I started pestering them on Tuesday, and received the final quote on Tuesday at 6 PM.  Mind you, this job was supposed to start Wednesday.  Asked for a copy of license and insurance to double check their statements, and never received them.  Also asked him to sign my contract (3 pgs) in addition to me signing his, and never heard from him again.  Left me stranded on the day he was supposed to start without any phone call or information and I've got some plumbing work that was URGENT to be done today.  Well... see what I get for trying to do my homework?  I don't know if I could have been more screwed if I tried imagining scenarios.

I've had Bennet in my home quite a few times and have always been happy with them.  The last time they were here they put in a hot water tank.  I mentioned to him that the caulking around the new toilet he had done several years ago was looking kinda sad and he went to the bathroom and recaulked the toilet.  He does an absolutely beautiful job.  They came to me with a really good recommendation and I can't say anything different.

this is my go to plumber.  they did an addition for me. no problems 3 years later.  highly recommend.

I have used Bennett twice, once to replace the garbage disposal and once to replace the hot water heater.  Both experiences were good ones with no call backs.  I would use them again and recommend them to others.  I don't think their prices are any more or any less than other contractors.

On a Monday I called the office number and was referred to the plumber's cell number so I called left a message. Didn't hear back so like ok he is  busy.  On Wednesday  I get call saying he would able to come over on Thursday morning to see. I said ok and gave my info and he said he would call in morning on when he was coming. Thursday morning at 8 got a call stating on his way.  Pulled up in a unmarked van and introduced himself, Jim and also colleague Tom. Came in and saw the pipe said this sewage pipe would needed to be replace all the way up to kitchen ceiling from the basement and they would need more time to do this and he would call about a quote on Friday. I wasn't charged a diagnostic/ service fee so that a plus. But as the business hours on Friday passed by I didn't receive a call. So I can assume he got busy and forgot. That was ok since I call a few other companies.

We have used Bennett plumbing for many years now on our rental properties and for our own home, they've always been fair and professional, we can always count on them during emergencies the work they perform is top notch and the prices are always fair, I would highly recommend this company for all your heating cooling plumbing needs

Terrible company came over to fix leaking faucet it start leaking the next day because all the plumber did was put a new knob on a stripped valve. They refused to call back or come out I had to go to the BBB for resolution.

Very good experience all around, and I chose to call Bennett based on Clayton C.'s review (after a Google search for reviews of plumbers in Dearborn Heights).  

My repair need was a gas leak in the basement, and they provided a pressure test and fixed the leak.  Good communications, service was above average (they replaced some extraneous/antiquated hardware) and the price was right in the range of what I'd anticipated.

Feel confident calling Jim Bennett, and have your check book ready.

I called Bennett today after my attempts to clear a clogged sink drain failed. Their equipment was broken, but they referred me to the guy at Muskett Sewer Cleaning, who came out within an hour. The problem turned out to be too big for Muskett to fix, but he didn't charge me at all for coming out. Finally, after my landlord decided to use somebody he knew to replace the pipe, Bennett still gave me a free estimate of what it ought to cost, just so I knew what to expect. So, even though I didn't end up needing their plumbing services (yet), their customer service is obviously excellent and their recommendations are trustworthy. I'll be sure to call them if I ever have a problem I can use them for.

Had them install a dishwasher in June 2019.  Today, it will not drain.  Called to have them come out and look at it.  Plumber was rude and mumbled to me he does not fix dishwashers and to call an appliance company.  Told him the dishwasher is working and it is a draining issue.  Took pictures and showed another plumber who informed me the dishwasher drain is set up wrong. NO WARRANTY ON YOUR WORK?  TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!  DO NOT CALL THEM!!!!
