I woke up to a leaking water tank and over an inch of water in my basement. I waited 6:30 to call and ask for estimate and availability. Petros replied and immediately diagnosed the problem and offered a solution. 2 hours later he and his helper came to replace my water tank. Work was done within 2 hours. Efficient, responsive and top notch service! Highly recommended!

Mr. Floros (sorry, somehow I never caught his first name!) completely bailed me out after another plumbing company canceled on fixing my leaking water heater.  After we had already not had hot water for two days!

He was able to give me an estimate immediately over the phone when I sent him some photos, and fortunately he was able to come over within an hour to install a new unit.  He even dealt with the cramped laundry room corner that our water heater was in like a champ.  Not the cheapest home ownership experience in my life, but a professional who actually shows up and does the job is well worth it.

Called him with a leaking boiler today. He was here very promptly, very professional, and got things fixed very fast. Very nice, and price was reasonable. Would definitely trust him to call again if needed in the future!

I can't say enough great things about this guy.  My hot water tank dies on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend.  He'd installed it a number of years ago, so I called out of desperation.  He took the call on Sunday, even though I later learned he was at a lake with family trying to have a bit of a vacation.  He apologized profusely for not being able to come that day (not something I'd have expected anyway) and came on Memorial Day around 9:30.

Replaced the tank, helped with some other small issues, even walked me through getting the warranty set up, all while being charming and super helpful.  Very reasonable price at the end.

Very competent plumber and completed a couple of simple jobs (leaking sink etc.) in about an hour (maybe 1.5 hrs) but the sticker shock is unbelievable. Cant' get over paying close to $500 for a simple job.

Petros is always very reliable, has very reasonable pricing, solves the issue quickly, and is able to come out and do same-day jobs. I've called him to come out and investigate my broken toilet, to replace my toilet later on, and today he came out to fix my heater. He's very professional, explains everything clearly, and was super sweet to my little dog (pictured)- which is always important! I highly recommend Petros!

A strange review in that technically I didn't use Floros, but when I called him and described the noise I was hearing from my water heater he immediately suggested that it wasn't actually MY heater and sounded more like someone above my condo having a problem. As it turns out his hunch was correct and two floors up from me their water heater was having a leak.

This speaks to Floros' ethics as someone who will point you in the right direction rather than charging you to come out when they suspect the issue isn't on your end!

Looked on Yelp for a reputable plumber. Came across P. Floros because of the great reviews. Called and was able to immediately tell Floros about the issues that were occurring at my house and was also hoping to get my furnace inspected. P. Floros was upfront that he did not know whether he could attend to the furnace; I appreciated his honesty. Before hanging up, we agreed I would send photos of the furnace and water heater so he could better determine whether he could attend to the furnace. After doing so, he informed me he might be able to help. So, I tried to schedule a time (on two separate occasions, the second one was a few days after our first correspondence) that he could stop by; I informed him I was available anytime.

Unfortunately, he did not follow through in scheduling despite my attempts. I think that P. Floros is probably a busy person who attends to many people, many of whom have urgent needs. I presume that I was forgotten since I did not have anything that was immediate.

Knowing my plumbing issues weren't urgent compared to others, I understood if I would have to wait a few days to get my plumbing issues addressed. At the same time, I would have appreciated if P. Floros at least gave me a time frame rather than forgetting or potentially seeing my plumbing issues as unimportant. At the writing of this, it has almost been a week since our last correspondence.

Struggled all weekend trying to get a heating zone working.  

Called Petros Plumbing this am.  He answered promptly and arrived at my house within 20 minutes.  

Had called a larger HVAC company earlier but they couldn't get someone out till Thu (2 days out).

20 minutes later my problem was fixed.

Found Petros to be very personable and knowledgeable.  Would definitely user/recommend again.   Thanks!!!

Our water heat tank leaked. We called two plumbers and one need to wait  for a week and the other required scheduling. So we googled and found Floros. He gave us a quote after receiving the photos, and visited us on the same day. The work was done smoothly. He is knowledgeable and is helpful when we asked him about other issues in our unit. We will hire him again.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLY SERVICE.  I called with an emergency heating issue at 6pm and Petros was there and had the issue fixed within two hours.  Plus he explained what happened, was incredibly nice about it, and did a safety inspection while he was there.  I've had nothing but bad luck with plumbers for the last couple years ... seems like my luck just changed!

My only hesitation about writing this review is I don't want Petros to become so busy he doesn't have time for me! But nonetheless, he deserves an awesome review. Our latest dilemma....

Spent the last 24 hours wrangling with frozen pipes. Nothing we tried (hair dryers, space heaters, cranking the heat to 90, heating coils for the basement pipes, etc.) did the trick. Turns out the culprit was a frozen pipe behind one of the walls that we didn't have access to.

Called Petros around 9am today and he was here before noon, despite a long list of customers dealing with the same issue. He got the thaw machine hooked up and had the issue resolved in 5 minutes. He rushed over and dealt with it before any pipes burst, which could have resulted in thousands of dollars worth of damage. This is the third time Petros has pulled through for me in an emergency situation (first was a hot water heater that blew, second was for an emergency toilet repair, and now the frozen pipe situation). He even joked that he's visited so often that my fiance will think there's some hanky-panky going on!

If you're in the Somerville area, call Petros. I don't want to share him, but you'll be happy I did.

It was a Saturday afternoon and I had a leak coming from one of the fittings on my toilet. I called several plumbers in the Saugus area and no one even answered the phone nor called me back. Then I decided to do a search on yelp and P Floros came up first with all great reviews as I read them I felt more comfortable and sure this is someone I wanted to work with. So I gave him a call. Petros not only answered my call but after listening to my problem said that he would be able to come out and fix it later in a few hours as he also explained that being a weekend the service calls are more money which was understandable so I agreed. Around 6:30 PM he's at my door, fixes the problem within an hours time and  then he disconnected the price to a regular weekday price. Floros is genuine nice guy that goes above and beyond what's required. I've already told him that I want him to replace both my toilets and I look forward to working with him soon!

By far one of the best experiences I've had of working with a contractor and I work with them all the time. He shows up on time, does a great job for a reasonable price. Doesn't get any better then this!

Reached out to help with my gas stove piping and Petros was very responsive and helpful off the bat. He ended up helping me with my sink and faucet as well all for a very fair rate. He found the quick simple fixes and I didn't feel pressured at all. Planning to use for future work.

The safety relief valve on our heater started to drip and then run. Petros came out on a Saturday evening and changed the valve within hours of me first contacting him. He had me text him pictures of the furnace and heater so he could figure out what parts he needed. When he got in he explained a bit about the possible problems and then talked me through his troubleshooting.

His fees are high, he had a huge mark up on the part he replaced, he broke off the spec tag on the part, but he is prompt, courteous and knowledgable. I can recommend him for emergencies.

Petros installed a pumping system in my basement to empty my constantly-running dehumidifier. He not only installed the system, he explained to me what was happening, how to keep the system in good running order, and what to expect. He double-checked the equipment, and upon finding that one piece was faulty, replaced it immediately at no charge.

I called Petros this morning with an urgent need to replace our hot water tank which had failed yesterday evening. After being guided on pictures to share with Petros, he got back to me in minutes with a quote on a replacement, and pledge to have it done that same day (which happened to be snowing). Petros and help were at my home before noon to install the replacement unit, and by 2pm, we were up and running again with hot water.  Before leaving, Petros walked me through steps to file an extended warranty on the new tank and claim a purchase rebate. Professional, ethical, prompt and cleaned up after their work. Much appreciated for accommodating our urgent need - thank you Petros!

I cannot recommend him enough! TL;DR- he helped us out with replacing a water heater on a Sunday morning and was incredibly efficient, funny and kind in the process.

Our water heater broke late Saturday night and flooded our basement. We turned off the water and planned to make some calls first thing in the morning. After calling several plumbers and getting terse responses or price quotes without them even asking for the necessary information (one person said $1,500 without knowing the warranty, size, type, etc.), I found Petros online. He gets amazing reviews for a reason! He was incredibly responsive and kind, he asked for a few photos and some additional information before giving us a really reasonable quote. He came out to our house right after that (thankfully he had a replacement tank in stock) and replaced our leaking one about an hour. He is also very friendly, funny, and helps you make good decisions without making you feel silly for not knowing more about plumbing. He is the only person we will ever use from now on!

If you look down this list, you'll see that Petros ONLY has 5 star reviews. That is very, very well deserved.

We had a plumbing emergency on a weekend, and after doing some initial diagnostics (to make sure he had the right pieces), he came over cheerfully and promptly. He explained the likely costs (which did NOT include a weekend surcharge) upfront, then stuck to them.

To top it all off, he's a very personable guy. Our new gold standard.

Petros was able to move his schedule, so that he could fix my bathtub faucet issue. He was here a few hours after I called, and he fixed my problem quickly!  He really knows his stuff, and his price was reasonable. I recommend him to anyone!

I just bought an older house and encountered some plumbing issues that occurred after the city did some street work.  I called for an appointment and Petros lives nearby so he made his way at the end of his day.  He had me text him pictures and details so that when he arrived he would have everything he needed to make the repairs which he does to make everything time efficient which then make it cost efficient. He took the time to explain the root cause of the various plumbing issues and fixed them. But he tested everything thoroughly numerous times to make sure it was fixed.  And he has such a positive personality.  So Petros gets a perfect set of stars for quick response, great communication, reliability, honesty, high quality services and cost efficient prices.  I found my go to plumber and recommend him any day!

Excellent guy, very busy (not surprise there) but he finds the time to come over and fix the stuff even in late hours. Very dependable. So far any problems with the work he has done for us. Thanks.

P Floros plumbing is amazing! Petros took our call even though h3 was at a family outing. He told us to text him the problem our safety valve was leaking on our water heater. He answered back no worries all will be ok As seniors on a tight budget every problem is a great worry. Petros called when his outing was over and popped over that very same night! He walked my husband through the process and fixed our valve quick as can be. He took time to speak to us for a bit played with our dog and impressed us with his humanity and kindness in calming our anxiety about the situation! I appreciate Petros taking time with us! I am extremely happy with the work and Petros was a pleasure to deal with.  I had tried to research hot water heaters so that I wouldn't get taken of advantage of when purchasing a new one.  When I called Petros to discuss my decision, he confirmed what I had learned but gave me a far more detailed explanation of each type of unit and the needs of a house like mine.  Everything he said checked out, and I went with his advice.  I am so glad I did!

I scheduled an appointment with Floros Plumbing for a Tuesday morning.  I took the day off from work and waited for Petros to show up.  I got 4 texts from him during the day saying he was delayed but he was coming.  He shows up at my door at 4:30 to start a job that could take 3 - 4 hours.  That won't work.  So the job isn't done and I lost a vacation day.  Beware he may be too busy for you.  He was too busy for me.  I ended up calling someone more dependable.

Came through in a pinch. Follows through and returns your call. Did a good job at analyzing the problem and does the job right.

It seems that when you have a small job (leaky toilet creating a constant stream of water), many plumbers don't want to be bothered.  I contacted P. Floros through a yelp inquiry, and he got back quickly.  He quoted his initial price, and said he could come out the next day.  He called, came out quickly, and fixed the problem immediately.  He was clean and efficient. Needed someone to come out and fix a detached vent hood for my water boiler. Petros was able to come out and fix it that very afternoon. Super nice guy. I had a situation that was more inconvenience than emergency. Called Petros on a Saturday evening...he was out of town...in the middle of schooling someone in a game of pool. I had an emergency issue with one of my water heaters on a Sunday! Luckily Petros was able to answer my call and head down in minutes. The water heater needed a new part, which he helped me work with the manufacturer to order. The part came in and Petros came back to install. Petros made me aware of a potential rebate which actually covered the parts and labor IN FULL. I would have never known about that if Petros didn't mention it. Needless to say, the service was great and the water heater was repaired fully. Petros is a great plumber to have in your contacts list. We needed to get a toilet fixed quickly and I phoned 3 plumbers to get some different quotes. The first didn't get back to me. The second sent round a sales rep to price up the job (he was not a plumber) and came back with a price which was hilariously high. Petros picks up the phone immediately and was over there the next day and did the work at a reasonable price and found a nice solution to the problem. With Petros you feel like he is not ripping you off, he talks you through everything, works quickly and is just a nice guy. Would highly recommend!

Far and away the best plumber in the Boston area! He's done 2 jobs for me so far. One was to replace a leaky shutoff valve. Originally I thought both shutoff valve needed to be replaced but only 1 was bad. I'm just too much of a weakling to close the other. Bit he was honest enough to say so instead of unnecessarily replacing that second valve, at my expense.

The second job was to replace part of the cast iron sewer pipe in the basement. Not an easy job but he did it and it's a masterpiece. Seriously. Amazing work.

So glad I found P Floros on Yelp!  I had a leaky outdoor faucet and a leaky toilet. I gave P Floros a call and was pleasantly surprised when he agreed to come that same afternoon. He asked me to text him a few pix (not a requirement but just to help him to help me) of my toilet guts and the faucet so that he could be fully prepared before he arrived. He got here quickly, diagnosed the problems, went right to work, explained what he was doing and why, and got the job done.

I have called Petros twice to do two different jobs for me in my condo. The first job was a water heater replacement. Petros was very quick to respond to my call, quoted me a fair price and even installed and removed my old water heater the same day. I called him again when I needed my dishwasher replaced. Petros was very responsive to my inquiry. When it was delivered I called him up and he came again the same day. Both installations were quick and painless. Finally while Petros was out I had him look at my garbage disposal that suddenly stopped working. I thought I needed to replace it, but after taking a look Petros thought it was more of an electrical issue. He was correct, and it ended up saving me money in the end as I didn't need to replace the unit. However, if my garbage disposal does finally go, I know who to call to replace it!

This is guy is a quality plumber. He showed up on time, in a fully loaded van and immediately recognized the problem. I had a leaking faucet valve and needed a new drain fitted, as well as a bidet installed. He had all the tools for the job and the material already in his van. Got all the work done in about an hour and gave me an estimate on some other work I want done. THIS GUY IS A REAL PLUMBER ! Hire him!

I will keep this short: About 5 years ago this was the only plumber who picked up the phone on Thanksgiving day after my old water heater decided to leak with guests in the house. He arrived the same day 15 minutes before the appointment time and installed the heater in half hour less than initial estimate and hauled away the old heater. Despite me being in a desperate condition he charged the regular rate. Last week, a part in the heater failed causing a flood in the house. I called him at 4 am prepared to leave message on voice mail. But he picked up, asked me for pictures of the equipment and the leak and came the same day in the evening to fix the problem. Always picks up the phone, never misses an appointment, does excellent work and has reasonable charges. What else could one ask for from a plumber?

I would recommend them to anyone with plumbing issues. Our toilet was brocken and it was New Years. We recieved high quotes from a number of plumbers to just come over. This company called promptly, provided a reasonable estimate, arrived early, completed work promptly, and was very professional. The best interaction we have had with a home service company!

We called Petros to fix our leaking sink after reading the reviews on Yelp. We're new homeowners, and this was the first time we really needed a plumber. I'm always hesitant to call home repair people out of the blue, without a recommendation from a friend. Like some of the other reviews here have stated, people can be shady, over-charge you, or take advantage of the fact that they know more than you do about your issue.  Still, we needed a plumber and needed one immediately, so we figured we'd give P Floros a shot.
We called in the evening on a Friday, Petros answered right away and was willing to come out to our house the next day, and said he'd call in the morning to confirm a time. As promised, he called bright and early, just before 8 AM, and came by then. He took a look at our sink, had to go and get other parts (this is totally typical of our 100+ year old house), which he was more than happy to do. Came back, fixed it quickly and efficiently, and the entire job was done in about an hour.
Petros was professional, smart, and super efficient. He answered any questions I had along the way and did a really great job fixing the problem we were having. He also had a very fair price and charged us exactly as quoted. I'd recommend him without reservation, but the icing on the cake is that, while he was doing the repair, I got to chat with him about all things Marvel. A professional, efficient, knowledgeable plumber who I can also talk to about comic books? It truly doesn't get any better when it comes to home repair people.

After reading reviews on Yelp, I called Petros this morning and he answered his phone!!  That alone had me impressed.  My very patient tenant had been without hot water in one of the showers for more than 3 days and I felt so bad.

I had called several other plumbers recommended by friends who never had the professional courtesy to return my calls.

He then advised me about sending a photo so he could determine parts needed, called the supply house and asked them to open so he could purchase the parts needed.  And....viola, he successfully solved my hot water issue.  He also advised that the hot water tank might be in need of replacement before long.

He's professional, prompt and honest.  I'm very grateful to have found him and I strongly recommend him.

Hired him to install my stove. Came the same day I called, quick installation and very reasonable prices. He was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend him.

When you call a plumber, Petros is exactly who you hope and pray shows up. He is responsive (he calls you right back or answers the phone right away), respectful of your time (he was running a tad late due to morning traffic and texted me to let know), honest, fair, reasonably priced, personable, knowledgeable and smart (he asked me to text a picture of my fixture so he could be sure that he had what he needed when he came to my condo).  I can't recommend him highly enough! He provided the absolute best experience I've ever had with a contractor.  If only he was a carpenter and electrician, too!

Petros isn't your average plumber. He's a mechanical engineer by training, so he knows more than the average guy.

We had a water heater burst open in our basement, so we needed someone to respond urgently. Petros told us he'd get the water heater and be over in 1.5 hours and was there just like clockwork. He knew how to resize all the pipes quickly, and had all the right tools to make everything happen. He was very resourceful, finding everything he needed to get the job done instead of making excuses like I'm going to have to go to the shop for that.

No nickel and dimeing. Despite the work he had to do cutting and resizing some of the pipes, he did the everything for the agreed upon price. Highly recommend.

I own a small multi family property and unfortunately, one of my tenants was struggling with a stopped up shower drain.   I called P Flores at about 6:30 on a Wednesday night.  He was able to make it over shortly after, was professional, and quickly got to work.  Unfortunately multiple tries were not working so he tried a different strategy working in the basement.  After some troubleshooting, he got rid of the clog, closed things up, and was done.  He charged a very fair price for the work and I would highly recommend him.  To any landlords out there, he was also landlord friendly, asking for the tenants phone number to arrange the work directly with them.

This guy was really great.  We were moving into a  new house and needed a few things taken care of in the kitchen. He was at our house in less than 24 hours and took care of everything we needed, removing an old trash disposal unit, replacing a poorly sized dishwasher pipe and generally helping finish installation of the sink.

That's great for starters, but what really set Floros apart was his approach to the work. At each key juncture, he told me the options and gave his opinion. His last question was whether I was happy with his work-- which I was.

I highly recommend this guy.

We found Floros on Angie's List, and he came over the same day that we called to fix a leaky tub faucet. He did a great job. He even took a quick look at our poorly-installed dishwasher and gave us advice about it. We will definitely keep his number around in case we have a plumbing issue in the future.

Amazing service and work, every 5 star Yelp review is surely warranted. I called P Floros on a Friday and asked if he could complete the installation of my new shower faucet that I had started (but couldn't complete). He quoted me a price and said he could possibly come by that evening. After touching base later in the day I told him I would not be available that evening but would call him the following week. I called him on the ensuing Monday around 8:30AM and he came to my home at noon. In less than 15 minutes he had the shower faucet installed and willingly took care of two additional jobs I asked him about on the spot; unclogging my bathroom sink which was draining slowly, and redoing the path of my dishwasher drain hose. He completed those task quickly and without issue...but wait, there's more! He noticed my dishwasher was a bit uneven under the countertop, so he retrieved some more tools from his truck and adjusted it perfectly (it looks much better than before). All of this work was done, the initial work we discussed and the extra tasks, for merely $30 more than the price he quoted me on the prior Friday. He could not have been more fair and prompt, truly professional and on top of his game (I am still shocked and impressed he went the extra mile to level my dishwasher!). I will be calling P Floros for any and all plumbing related issues in the future. Highly recommended and trustworthy. Thanks!

Just adding my two cents to what has already been said.  Petros is fabulous.  Incredibly accommodating--worked around my schedule and was  pleasant and good humored.  Work was excellent as was the conversation.  Simply put, he's terrific.  A sure go to from here on out.

Petros is a very helpful plumber, even though our heating company was on their way to solve our problem, with text pics of the problem, he was able to talk me thru shutting off the water and prevent more damage.  He has also done work for my Uncle and was described as being extremely detail oriernted and skilled at what he does.  His dedication to his customers 24/7 and his craft earn him 5 starts.
