We are a family owned and operated business that started in 1978. We are located right in Perry Hall MD on Belair Rd. We offer many services including Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning Service, Repair, Replacement and Installation.
ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
My father originally started the business back in 1978. I completed a 5 year apprenticeship program where I graduated as valedictorian of my class. I have since passed my Master Plumbing/Gasfitter test and received the license along with my MD Master HVACR Contractor license. I am a huge believer in continued education. I am able to offer the newer technologies with an old school mentality on quality, craftsmanship and installation.

My plumber had retired after 30 years of taking care of our needs.
Searched Yelp and found Hamilton plumbing. Local business with good reviews. I called and was told the plumber would call me back. Vernon called me back within 2 hours we set up for him to come the next day. He showed up as promised and replaced a kitchen faucet and reset a toilet that the flange had rusted out. Very reasonably priced. I had a water heater that was beyond it's expiration date.
Set up a date for the following week. Vernon called me on Tuesday morning as promised. He was at my house on time. Had everything he needed for the job and did a great job. In my younger day I would have done this work myself. Nice to see a professional show up on time. Do quality work at a reasonable price. I now have a a new plumber for the next 30 years. The owner of this company never returned my call to reschedule a service after he was unable to make our first appointment. He has a lot of jobs and it appears he did not need another one. He said to me on our original call that he was not 24/7 and due to how small his company was, he was not able to always respond quickly. I felt that he was talking me out of using his company. I ended up calling another company and they responded the same day, plus they were also cheaper (Hamilton charges $129 just to come out and his maintenance contract was $280/year, the other company charged $79 to come out, which was credited for the service they provided, and the contract was $200/year).

Had our second time working with Hamilton today. The first time was for a water heater. Today, Vernon came out to fix a plumbing problem. He responded in a timely manner. He was straight to the point no B.S on what needed done. Point price was fair for what needed to be done. Quick but thorough service.

Quick response and turn around time! They do great work, fixed a pipe that we tried to DIY and failed at, but Hamilton was able to fix it no problem. Definitely recommend them!
I had use this company in the past and they have been good. Evidently they guy has way too much work to take on any more. I called for an estimate and was told I'd have an email the next day. Ten days later I called back and he told me he would send it when he got home that night. Over a month later and I'm still waiting......

Vernon showed up for me on a SUNDAY! Dealing with a clogged sewer line between the upper and lower floor of my house was causing the water to leak down the walls of my lower level bathroom and sewage was filling up the bathtub upstairs. Not a fun Sunday. Vernon showed up, educated me and my husband about the issue at hand (making sure that we completely understood) and quickly got to work to fix it. Not only is he super knowledgeable but so, so nice. Exactly what I look for in a professional. He also offered advice about a separate issue in our home which goes above and beyond what he was called out to do. Call these guys if you want excellent, honest service. I will be using them from now on!
Hamilton Plumbing/HVAC does an excellent job. They are honest, knowledgeable, and reliable. In my eight years in using this company, I found them to get the job done right the first time and I never had to call them back for corrections. They are highly recommended.
I want to thank Vernon and his brother Mitch for all the work done at my house the past 2 weeks. I had an emergency situation that needed to be taken care of and they responded immediately. While here ...Mitch review my hot water heater that was 21 yrs old and show some seepage. The next day he came back and replace my hot water heater. Vernon came out a few days later and price a new air conditioner and heating unit. It was installed a few days later. They're honest and commitment to do the best job. Their workmanship was beyond my expectations. They were well priced and very professional. I would recommend them to anyone for top notch work.

My faucet in my bathtub had to be replaced because
I could not access my shower properly. The water
cane out of the faucet & shower @ the same time.
I asked 2 other plumbers to fix it but since it was a
small job they were not interested. I called Hamilton
after reading the reviews & was so very happy it was
fixed that I can shower with the full amount of water.
Plus, I received an estimate on another project down
the road. A true learning experience.
The provided outstanding service. They arrived when promised and worked diligently until all of the requested work was completed. We highly recommend this this plumbing company. They will do it right the first time.

We had just bought our first house and with the changing weather our heat came on for the first time, or what we thought was heat. After a few days of thinking something may be wrong, we called Hamilton and they were able to come out the same day. The tech, Vernon, was extremely nice and explained everything so we understood. He was able to narrow a few issues we were having down fairly quickly and fixed them while he was there. Now we have a very comfortably (heated) home. I will definately be calling them again for any HVAC and plumbing work.

We had problems with the faucet on our bathtub over the weekend. I posted on our neighborhood Facebook page and half a dozen people posted for Hamilton Plumbing. So we called them this morning and they were here in less than two hours. The problem was fixed quickly and we have already made another appointment with them to have some other work done. We are very happy with their work.

From the first contact, this was exceptional service.
Vernon was our technician and he kept in contact, arrived early and did a fantastic job at a reasonable cost.

I called on either a Monday or Tuesday to confirm my appointment because we were having issues with the ac and they had Vernon call me back. He said he could come out the same day and he did. I thought he would say no because we had a really bad storm but he still made it out. He was very knowledgeable and give us options. We ended up needing to get a whole new system and they were able to come out that Saturday to install it. The team that came out did a great job as well. I was telling Vernon about another issue (roof issue) I had at my other house and Vernon even referred me to someone who could help me. We are very pleased with the work and now have a hvac AND plumber to use from now on. I highly recommend this company!
Wow! Simply wow! The morning started rough with the garbage disposal not working and the sink not draining. I called around and got quotes and finally came across Yelp reviews for this place. I spoke with Vernon and right away I knew he was our guy. He came out on a Saturday (Memorial Day Weekend) within two hours. Not only did he fix the garbage disposal he also fixed the faucet in the tub and caulked around the fixtures that should have been caulked. We also asked about two other items in which he provided a quote. Vernon is awesome. He explains things in terms I can easily understand and very honest. We are definitely using him for future services. Do not use anyone else this guy is amazing!
I was charged $120 for a service call. Hamilton Plumbing Company was unable to produce proof of insurance during the hours of 9-5. This was a steep price considering that no work was done and they could not provide proper documentation for basic building work requirements. They were also not willing to negotiate the price. $$$

Great service, very responsive and only fixed what needed to be fixed at a fair price. I had a pinhole leak in my hot water expansion tank and a rusted out turn off on a basement sink. They replaced the tank and showed me how to turn off the sink water, I was turning it to far. Vernon was great, I am sure to be using them again soon!

The only plumber I use. I have had Vernon to my house about 7 times for leaky pipes, various installations, etc. Every time I have called, he has come out the same day, even if it is after regular hours. I couldn't be more satisfied with the results and speedy service. Each time I call, I become more comfortable and confident knowing my problem will be professionally resolved.

These guys are the best around hands down!!! I've been using them for years. Last week my water pump went out the day after having a party and the house was a disaster. I called Hamilton and a tech was here in less then 2 hours. They came back first thing the next day and installed the new pump. Their customer service was fantastic and they charged me less than what i thought it would be. Thanks so much Hamilton...you guys saved my ass!!
Vernon was incredible helpful and very friendly. He made a speedy replacement of a water heater despite difficult weather conditions.

My water heater went out so I called a few plumbers and Hamilton Plumbing was the most reasonable and most straightforward. They were professional on the phone and I was set up for them to come by the end of the week. They did a great job installing the water heater and I had them replace my garbage disposal too which was also done very nicely. They also let me know the heat exchanger was cracked on my A/C unit, I didn't want to replace everything due to the cost but after some research I realized I had to replace it. They offered me a great price and installed the new system in no time. Definitely a great company that I will most definitely be using from now on. I highly recommend this company if you are looking for great service and exceptional work.
Never written a review before - absolutely have to for Vernon and Hamilton Plumbing. Excellent experience from start to finish and start was right here via yelp. I received a timely response to a quote request with a great price. The quote had detailed instructions as to how the job would be completed, which I loved and gave me great confidence. I had an urgent and almost unrealistic need for quick service and Vernon fit me in to his already very busy schedule. The job was completed quickly and professionally and he even gave me tips as to how to move forward replacing the toilet over the flange he replaced for me. Had an issue where I stupidly left my hose connected to the outside faucet all year and it was stuck and impossible to get off. I contacted Hamilton Plumbing and they sent Mitch to do the repair. Ended up I needed to get a new faucet and copper pipe into the house. Mitch was knowledgeable quickly quoted the price, fixed the problem and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I would recommend Hamilton plumbing without hesitation- great honest plumbers.
I do not understand how these people are still in business?? Called them up for a simple repair, whoever picked up the phone took almost 10 minutes to take all my information asking 1000 questions, just to let me know someone was going to call for scheduling. Never called or showed up, not a courtesy call or anything. I wish I could put 0 stars. Good luck

Hamilton Plumbing installed an 80 gallon electric hot water heater for us this morning. Vernon and Mitch were on time, got the job done in record time, didn't leave a mess. Awesome job. Thank you guys! Would use again!
After many attempts with single room humidifiers not doing the job, my husband contacted Hamilton for a whole house humidifier. They did a wonderful job with the installation and explaining how the humidifier works. The one they installed is the best on the market! I have severe sinus/allergy issues and since this humidifier being installed my whole family and I sleep and breathe better. I no longer wake up with terrible headaches or a dry mouth. I also want to point out the size of our utility room is not that big and the fact they were able to work in such a small space and deliver great service showed me how dedicated they are to their customers. They were very professional, cleaned up after themselves, and were so kind to my curious toddler. We will definitely be calling them in the future for any needed plumbing, heating, a/c services.
Great work and were easy to deal with. Fit in my water heater the day before thanksgiving. Would highly recommend.

OMG I can't thank Vernon enough for making time to fix our AC. We called in the morning. He came by around 4:30 and fixed it within 15 minutes. Wonderful. I highly recommend his services. I know he was swamped with calls on the Tuesday after Labor Day weekend and with it being a very hot day. And he was headed to more calls after us trying to take care of as many people as he can. I will keep his card and call him for a new unit sometime in the next year.
Hands down best service I have ever had. I have owned a townhouse for 13 years and discovered almost everything behind the walls was originally from 1977 when the home was built. Vernon and his brother have been life savers. I have called them on 3 occasions in which Vernon showed up the same day to check out the problem. He fixed most problems same day other than us discovering my water heater was leaking and my ac unit was over 25 years old. He explained everything he did to a point that was completely understandable to me and extremely logical. He never tried to sell me something I did not need and has been so flexible. I am in and out of state and scheduling repairs while gone, so it is nice to have a company I trust in my home and can guarantee the best quality of work. I have also had tons of questions and they never make me feel like a bother and always respond promptly. This is the first time I have had a plumber come to my home and actually fix all of my problems in an extremely timely and very cost effective manner. I will never call another plumber.
Fantastic and quick service at a fair price. I was very impressed by this father and son owned business.
