Pipes R US Plumbing Services

I like these guys. They are straight shooters and easy to work with. We've had them over at our home and a property we oversee and in both experiences I've been really pleased. In addition to arriving on time and working quickly, they offer advice you can only get from experienced plumbers. Most importantly, they get the job done. The prices are fair, and they won't charge you for things you didn't expect to pay for. A huge plus!

We're going to be doing some remodeling in the future and will definitely use their services again. The only thing keeping me from a 5 star review is that I feel like the work we've had them do thus far is pretty basic, I'll update the review when we go big!

We have had these plumbers out to our house 3 times now over the past month. Jared twice and Sean once. Both were very pleasant, very professional and very neat. Lynette at the office was good about returning my calls and scheduling me within 24 hrs and keeping me informed. They may not be the cheapest but they are honest, reliable and do the job effectively and in a neat and professional way.

Quick, courteous, respectful. I had accidentally flushed a foreign object down my toilet and they were there within an hour to fix it. They had a flat price for the job which may have been a bit expensive for the work they needed to do, but that's why you call a professional!

Fixed an issue. It broke again a few months later. They used the wrong part. Another plumber showed me why it broke.

This was one of the most unprofessional companies I've ever dealt with. Hired them for my pipe inspection and a bathroom drain backing up. Technician said he fixed the clogged drain, but when I went to take a shower it wasn't any better. He told me to call him if it isn't better, so I did, he said he would come back out. He then stood me up two days in a row when I made arrangements to leave work early to be home. Texts and phone calls ignored and declined. When I called the actual company the next work day to ask them to send me a different technician I then was told the large amount I had already paid didn't include my shower drain issue...that was news to me as I had stated that in the initial call when hiring them. Then when I was rudely put on hold twice without any warning, the technician that stood me up then picked up and started screaming at me very loudly stating he was doing me a favor and I was being ridiculously. I have never been treated so poorly as a PAYING customer. I would NEVER recommend this company. Pipes R Us did not even apologize for their technician's behavior. I was so disgusted, don't hire them!

Horrible response for a paid video of the plumbing under my house. Written report was not readable. Numerous requests and the refused to provide a legible report. They 'lost' the video they said they did of my plumbing. It took a month for them to send a video to my realtor, but not to me.  The video was extra poor quality and not usable. Total incompetence at best or fraud at worst. The have refused to cooperate what so ever. They did make sure they were paid first though!

These guys were great. I'd had a friend of a friend who works for a rival company come out. They immediately told me that my main sewer line was cracked. Pipes R US then came out and actually cleaned the pipe and explained that I had a root problem that didn't necessarily require a new sewer pipe (which would cost $2K). So, the other plumber who works with bourgeois immediately had said that the situation was a disaster, while Brian at Pipes R Us actually considered the issue and offered options in terms of dealing with the problem. I'm now using a root destroyer and monitoring the issue while my plumbing is working just fine.

On top of that - Brian showed up right on time at 7:30 AM. Issue was fixed in less than an hour and I made it to work on time. Great experience - will surely do business with them again.

I needed to get a pipe inspection for the purchase of my home.  My real estate agent recommended these guys.  They were able to schedule an appointment within days.  The guy who came out arrived early and did the job in no time.  He was extremely knowledgable, excellent communicator, and took the time to explain everything.

I walked away with a copy of the video in case I need it for insurance purposes at a later date.  But I also left knowing a great company I can call if I have plumbing issues later.  I highly recommend this business.

I've worked with him a few times.  Things didn't always run smooth, but we were able to work things out.  He's OK for minor things, but they had a major error.  They quoted me $3,200 for one job.  They found out it was worth $10,000 so instead of fixing my problem, they told me I had another problem I didn't have.  They removed all the supposed twisted pipe before I could see it.

There are lots of red flags with this plumber.  He doesn't put anything in writing and has promised me things like a free rod for two years after I had a sewer line elbow reattached.  I ended up having to pay for it.  I called it a wash because he camerad a line for free once.  He'll do minor things for free to build good will, but don't get suckered into it.

He doesn't give you anything with his address on it.  The cancelled checks don't look to be deposited into a business checking account.  You don't have anything except his phone.  Anyway, he didn't realize that I knew to contact the Illinois Attorney General.  We sort of resolved the issue.  There are multiple red flags.

If you want to hire him for something minor, it should be OK, but my advice is if you have major issues, I would hire a plumber who is not as secretive.  Some one who puts things in writing, gives you an address, deposits checks into a business checking account, etc.  He'll tell you it cuts his costs and he passes the savings to you, but he's not the cheapest guy out there.  If you did hire him for something major and had issues, contact the Illinois Attorney General.

These guys used to be amazing and they do show up but $125 to clean a slow bathroom drain is not my idea of a fair price. Nor is the way they make you feel lucky when they can fit you in. I guess when a company gets well known they think those of us on a budget don't count.

I am a landlord with repeat business.

For that price just abt any plumber picked blindly from a list will do.

Pipes R Us Plumbing, Inc; Is an Egregious Well Run Company! I phoned there over a week ago; the call was answered by Lynette. Lynette listened Tentatively to My need and Immediately directed me to The Company, That I should phone first; Accurate Leak Detector. I followed Lynette's Advice; As I had No Doubt, That she had led me to the appropriate company, In order to assure, My issue would be handled in a Precise Manner. I phoned and Spoke with Tommyof Accurate Leak Detection, and after listening to My dilemma; He set up an appointment with His Team: Rodney and Steven.  Rodney and Steven came out, carefully explored the premises of my home, located My problem; Then sat with me, To assure, I understood their Detection Diaphragm. Tommy had previously explained, That He would contact Pipes R Us and send a copy of their findings, Which had a Detailed Diagram, Displaying the areas of The Leakage, in My Home. A few days later; I received a call from Lynette, of Pipes R Us. Once again, Lynette was Precise and informed Me, When Her Plumbing Team would be arriving at My Home; Along with the Time and The Approximate Time Frame, of their Stay. I was Solely Impressed! Well, This morning, The Pipes R Us Plumbing Team, Arriving on Time, Rung My Bell and when I opened the door; Both Members of The Plumbing Team, Greeted Me, Announced that they had their Covid-19 Vaccine; I Responded, Me too; While Grabbing the knob of My Front Door, Drawing it Towards Me; So, They could enter. Once, They entered Ray and Ross, Wasted No Time; Comparing The Detection Diaphragm Sheet, From Accurate Leak Detection and Had No Problem locating, Nor, Repairing The Leakage, in just 2 Hours. Now, How Impressive was that!!! They went to their Company Truck, Returned with My Invoice; Asked if I had any questions, Which, I did Not. Therefore, I walked through My Home; Retracing the Areas where they worked and It was, As if they hadn't Disturbed, Anything... That's how Neatly they worked!!! More Impressively, If I needed to Hire a Painter, I am Confident, He wouldn't be here, Past an half hour. The Sheetrock, Which was cut from the wall By Ray and Ross; Was Cut Soooo Neatly and Perfectly; I probably could take on the Challenge and Tape and Paint The Sheetrock, Myself, But, Trust Me, I'm Not that Brave... I will Most Assuredly hire A Painter. Thank You, Accurate Leak Detector and Thank You, Pipes R Us, For an Admirable and Consummated Experience! I just Adore The Comradery Between, The Two of You... Brandon came a few days ago to fix a problem at my parents' house while I was in town for Christmas. He was very pleasant and friendly, explained everything as he figured it out, and solved the problem efficiently. He also helped with some good advice on preventing future problems.

They came they saw they conquered. So my normal method of using professionals around the house is to self diagnose and tell them what I have already tried and what I think needs to be done. We had a slow draining shower/bath that had most recently become a now draining shower/bath. Since we snaked and brought up nothing and used every chemical known to man... we thought oh the suction thing on the roof must be the issue. So that's what I called them to do.
Well wouldn't you know, the guy met the partner in crime at the house and was, well, a true professional. He listened to our little amateur show diagnostic and proceeded to explain that with no other drain being slow in the house that probably wasn't what was needed. He proceeded to snake another entrance into the system and viola. Now I can take long environmentally unfriendly  showers again.

The reception service was also wonderful and patient with all of my questions like if it goes over a certain amount can I  pay part in cash and part with credit.

The only drawback is if you don't have a true emergency you are unlikely to get a same day appointment. I called on a Friday morning  and the first available appointment was 2pm the following Monday.

I have to say the Daniel is the best! He is professional and gets the job done! The guy who cuts our grass hit the pipe on the side of the house and cause a big leak on a Friday! I had to call Pipes R Us to help us with this leak. Daniel took care of it and now we are good. This is not our first time dealing with Pipes R Us. They did a great job on a inside leak for us and saved us a ton on our water bill. I am excited that this company is local and has excellent customer service. They are our go to company for plumbing!

They came the day I called and quickly repaired my leak. It was an outdoor faucet they repaired. They called my cell and repaired the faucet without any contact.

Excellent customer service and plumbing expertise.  From the nice lady who talked to me on the phone to the two gentlemen who fixed my clogged pipe.  I was panicked.  Water was coming up through the drain and spilling out onto the floor for my downstairs bath.  We couldn't run any water in the house for fear that it would get worse.  I called and they had someone come out right away. Within 30 min they arrived and new exactly what was happening immediately.  They also advised me on how to prevent this issue in the future.  I would recommend them to anyone.

Kept changing the price, of course more expensive than quote. Came to the property to check progress, a Hispanic family was do the work, not kidding, wife and kids. Didn't speak a word of English. Never hit their deadline by a week.

They came, they saw, they kicked a**  and then they were gone. In less than half an hour...

So I just bought a house and wasn't entirely ready with the small staff of handy-people I would soon need (gardeners, contractor, electrician, etc.). So when I awoke to shortly thereafter find the upstairs shower backing up, and flooding, my downstairs shower, I yelped for the closest plumber.

Pipes R Us is right by my house and the woman who answered the phone could tell I was panicked. She had Brandon come out that afternoon to see where the clog is. He concluded it was in the city pipes so I called S&WB and Brandon, very nicely, did not charge me anything for the visit.

Fast forward a week, I receive the ultimate passive aggressive letter (21st century, I think not!) from the S&WB stating that the clog is indeed my problem because it's a 1.6 feet within my property line. Lame. But never fear, I have a plumber now! I scheduled a time for Brandon to come out to figure out this mythical clog.

He is always so polite and efficient! He ran the cable and got it all taken care for a really great price! I definitely recommend them, plus their slogan is let us peep in your pipes which deserves your business all on its own :)

All of our toilets were backed up in our home. We made an appointment and the guys came out and said it was fixed we paid $225.00 and right after they left it backed up again. I called immediately and the super rude woman that answers informed me that they will not come back until the next day! No toilets all day. I would not ever recommend this company. We called Rotoscoped Rooter and they came out immediately and FIXED the problem.

I scheduled an appointment with this company. On the day of, they ask if they can come early, so I change my plans to accommodate them and they show up late anyway. Then they refuse to wear a mask and when I insist they wear one, they decide to leave instead saying: oh, it'll be too expensive for you anyway....

By far the most reliable, cost effective and professional business that I've used for home maintenance in the greater New Orleans area. Do yourself a favor and use these guys for all your plumbing needs!

I discovered a huge hole in front of my house, about 4ft deep! Who knows how long it was going on. My handyman suggested there may be a sewer line break, and recommended Pipes R Us. I am so glad he did. They were able to come and video scope and do the repair in the same week! The guys Tony, Tommy & Chris were friendly and professional and knew exactly what they were doing. I had great confidence in them as they explained the problem and the resolution step by step. They were meticulous in their work and the clean up and it was all done at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

These guys are great! They give you a time and show up at that time. Then they do a great job. We have used them 3 times so far and intend to use them again in the future.

Some of the best service I've experienced in New Orleans. Fair and transparent pricing, knowledgeable about most current codes in all Parishes, and excellent quality of work. They're my go to plumbers, from a leaky dishwasher to a water heater replacement.

Haven't even received service yet but my pipes had burst and I couldn't shut the water off myself. I called someone at Pipes R Us and they sent over a very kind gentleman to give me a hand turning off the water while awaiting my repair. I felt taken care of and I appreciated the extra step of service they provided me. I also appreciated the info they provided me on licensing and what a fair cost of labor is so I didn't get swindled anywhere else. I'm new to town so I didn't know who to call but I feel lucky finding them, they really helped my stress levels decline in a matter of minutes! :)

When I asked FB friends for plumber suggestions I got 9 different names, Pipes R Us was the only one with two people suggesting. I decided to start with them and glad that I did. Brandon J came out to check a clog in the main drain that was causing both toilets in the double shotgun to backup. He couldn't find the clog within the 75 feet that he could reach. He told me a couple of options - calling another service with a power flusher or try accessing the city line. He also helped troubleshoot a couple of smaller problems with a clawfoot tub shower faucet and overfill drain. Since he couldn't reach the clog, the visit was considered as a free estimate.

Overall they were efficient and on-time. Had a leak come through our ceiling on Sunday night and they were able to come out first thing Tuesday morning. We emailed pictures pf the leaky pipe and they were able to assess it was an AC drain pipe issue and quoted a price from there. Had all the tools they needed and were done in an hour. Lynette in the office could not have been nicer.

Absolutely outstanding customer service! Such a rare thing these days. Highest recommendation.

These guys were great. I had had a huge problem even finding a plumber to answer the phone or call me back, but the lady I talked to at pipes r us was very nice and scheduled my appointment while I was on the phone with her. They came out the next day and called to let me know they were on the way. They fixed my toilet and the price was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend.

So I continue to have excellent service with Pipes R Us plumbing. I read some of the more recent reviews and was shocked by what i saw. I have never had that experience and I have just used them today. I had a stopped up sink and called the office for an appointment. The guys showed up 30 mins early, they wanted to come even sooner but I wasn't home, fixed my stopped up sink, made sure no additional leaks under the sink and were done. They were friendly, courteous, and fast. People complain about prices, well you get what you pay for and I don't mind when it gets fixed and a 30 day guarantee no less. I have been thru 5 different plumbers in my 30 years of home ownership and these guys have been with me the longest and wouldn't change a thing.

EVERY SINGLE PLUMBING DEVICE IN OUR HOME HAS LEAKED!!! DO NOT HIRE THEM!! They were the plumbers that plumbed the new construction houses on my street and at least one other person has had the same issues. It's ridiculous!!!! Hardly any of the connections to faucets were tight. The garbage disposal wasn't connected to the sink, the guest bath shower faucet wasn't connected fully to the pipes, the master sinks had the same issue and the guest bath sink. And NOW THE DISHWASHER LEAKS!!! This house is barely 3 years old. This is COMPLETELY unacceptable!!!

My brother n law worked their=. Ok they installed new faucets in house poor . Poor workmanship my zinc is not draining in bathroom.

Needed plumbing inspections for a house sale. They no-showed/cancelled AFTER the appointment time TWICE!! Left a voicemail! Once because of broken truck; once 'backed up on another job' even though we were scheduled at 9:30 AM. 'No one else available to help'! Sellers, buyers, agent left standing with legal, contractual deadlines to meet!! Thankfully, all parties cooperated with the change. We hired a different plumber to finish the job!
When they cancelled the first time, the Home Inspector heard our conversation and said' wait, let me guess, the truck broke down'!!!! Seems people are onto them. Unfortunately, I was not. Ownership needs to hire more people, get better at scheduling (we were on their books  at least 4-5 days ahead of time), fix their trucks or all of the above! Very irritating lesson to learn and I will tell all I know who hire plumbers or buy/sell houses...
BEWARE!! Too many good plumbers in town. Go elsewhere!

Great service , very easy to deal withfrom initial telephone contact to completion of job .  Arrived promptly and worked very quickly . Very thorough and explained what was being done. I highly recommend Pipes R US Plumbing

They were efficient, reasonably priced, and professional.  They were on time and got down to business as soon as they arrived.  I had a clogged sewer line that was backing up in the shower every time I flushed the toilet. They fixed the problem in about 20 minutes flat from the time they arrived.

This is the worst plumbing work performed. $225.00 dollars to replace a ballcock and flapper on the toilet, $125.00 to change the hose bibb.
The job on the toilet @ 20 minutes, the changing of the hose Bibb of 3/4to the incorrect size of 1/2 inch @ 1/2 hour. Parts cost @ $50.00 retail.

The plumber didn't say the faucet was too small to fit into the existing space, and he could not secure it, so he rigged a plastic pipe and screwed to the top of the face of the siding.
He wasn't making any additional money when he came back, so he didn't try to secure the faucet. He  reluctantly restored the correct pipe size. So the faucet is loose, and I paid for the poor installation. Shame! Look at photos on the workmanship of the faucet installation, it speaks for itself.

We are very happy with the service.  We had a broken sewer line, under the slab.  The estimate from Pipes R Us was $1,000 less than the three places we tried.  The office staff was very friendly and helpful.  The plumber was out the same day to make sure we were able to us the plumbing, at no extra charge.  The work was completed on time and for the price quoted.  The plumber even repaired one of the toilets at no extra charge.  We highly recommend this company.
