If you have a home warranty and need plumbing work in the New Orleans area, you'll likely end up assigned these guys or Mister Plumber by your warranty company. Whichever you get, you're screwed.
Anywhere Plumbing Repair uses a familiar scam - they come out for the initial call, collect the service copay, and then look for a reason to have the repair disqualified by the home warranty company so they do not have to do the work. That's what happened when Anywhere Plumbing came out to look at a bathroom leak.
The techs they sent out were not professional and smelled like cigarettes. Once the cause of the leak was identified, they started the scamming. They told me that they could not cut access because that was not covered by my warranty and American Home Shield did not cover re-piping. Because I have been a long time home warranty customer, I had my warranty handy. I showed them that cutting access was indeed covered. I also pointed out that the cast iron vent stack (which was leaking) was listed as a covered item. The tech told me that he needed to get approval from the warranty company before he could start the repairs. He asked me to sign an invoice saying the repair was completed. I refused.
The next day I am on the phone with the warranty company trying to get the repair approved. No decision had been made. Two days later I hear from AHS saying the repair was denied due to a metal pipe blocking access to the repair area. The metal pipe was the vent stack that needed to be repaired. It wasn't blocking anything - it was what needed to be repaired. Anywhere Plumbing lied to AHS to get out of doing the repair.
AHS said I could pay another $75 to get a second opinion, but I had already paid two plumbers (Mister Plumber and Anywhere) and I wasn't paying a third time for the same repair.
Use Anywhere Plumbing at your own risk. They will lie to your face then lie to your warranty company, if you have one. They're dishonest and unprofessional.
