Best Plumbing Services in Minnesota
Super down-to-earth and easy to work with. Prompt and friendly. Have used them twice, thumbs up all the way!

I love these guys. Have had to use them on three occasions. They handled the same day installation of a water heater on short notice during a snowstorm for us last winter at a fair price.
They came to our home and took a look at a pipe that we thought might have to be moved to facilitate the installation of a new dishwasher. After taking a look they told us that it wasn't really necessary and didn't charge us for the trip out.
Finally, they installed a new kitchen faucet for us today after calling yesterday afternoon. We had gotten another quote and they came in significantly under that. The installer was on time, friendly and professional. He explained in detail what he was doing as he did it and completed the entire process in about 45 minutes. And the price quote upfront was what it ended up being on the final bill. After dealing with other vendors that always seemed to be trying to upsell me, it couldn't have been a better experience.
If you live in their service area I HIGHLY recommend calling them first if you have plumbing problems. I have a thing for fast, honest, quality service.

We have used Madetzke and Gust three times. We have had a tankless water heater, new sink, new water shutoff, ice maker line, and gas stove. Amazing service. Always on budget. Curious. I would and do recommend to everyone. If you need a plumber look no further.

Lange's Plumbing & Heating have provided us with superior service for years. Jim and his crew have been quick to respond to our needs, efficient in their work and always priced fairly. It would be easy to take advantage when there is no heat in the middle of a cold Minnesota winter or suddenly you find your hot water heater has failed........they simply respond like professionals.
Fast, fair, friendly and with the quality workmanship we need. For us it is Lange's Plumbing and Heating!

If you want to get a plumber, DONT call Hovde. I called four times, three times I talked to a nice woman and she said someone would call back...NOT. She said send photos via email and someone would get back to me...NOT. Why lead someone on? Why pretend you are going to do something and then you leave them high and dry? Guess they have enough business and don't want any more. FORGET THEM!

I called them at 7 AM on the Monday after Easter. I had never used them before but they had a lot of excellent reviews on google and they opened at 7 AM. Mike answered the phone and had Matt at my house at 8:40 AM. Both were extremely professional,
the work was done quickly and efficiently at a very reasonable price.
I could not be more pleased with the service that I received and Hessian will definitely be the only plumber we will use in the future.

Another company wanted to charge us 10 to 12 K to line our entire sanitary drain to the street. Mpla and Sub showed us the photos, that there was just one place where the drain was broken. They dug up a small spot, replaced the broken pipe, added drains, and charged under 7 K. One day, cleaned up, all outside, really nice folks to work with. Saved us 3 to 5 grand!

After having a service call and had to order new parts , a second person came with parts and no results. Chris J. Was sent out and went thru everything and found original problem and reinstalled the ordered parts and explained everything he did. He left with furnace running properly with no other charge after spending almost 2 hrs.

Take a look at Michael S's review of Aqua City Plumbing. Mine is VERY similar. This took place when my daughter and I both lived in Minneapolis (a few years ago).
Aqua City Plumbing (and Dave the owner in particular) is a classic example of a business that takes advantage of people who need plumbing work done NOW, and who trust that they will get an honest and competitive price. Not the case with this company. Others have noted that Aqua City will NEVER give an estimate over the phone (not even a rough ballpark figure). And they charge about $79 just to come out to give an estimate. What kind of business is that? But people who have an Aqua City magnet on their refrigerator or phone book (like my daughter) still fall for this scam. In my daughter's case, they came out and gave her a $700+ estimate to replace two shutoff valves on either side of the water meter. She didn't know how much work was involved, and one valve connection was dripping on the basement carpet, so she accepted. The work took about 1.5 hours. I called later to complain about the outrageous charge, and I told Dave that the valves cost no more than $20 each. I asked him how he came up with the $700+ price, and he basically told me that it was none of my business. He said that my daughter accepted his price quote, so he did nothing wrong. I told him he took advantage of her trust, her lack of plumbing knowledge, and her desperation to get the leak fixed. I also told him I contacted two other plumbers, and they DID give me an estimate over the phone. Both estimates were between $200 and $300. My message: Check out reviews before choosing a plumber, and don't just refer to the magnet on your refrigerator. If my daughter would have done this, she would not have called Aqua City Plumbing to begin with.

I have mixed feelings about Ike's, the gentleman we've had to our house twice was more than kind, professional, and explained everything that he was doing. However, he didn't really get to the route of our issue and when we notified them they were a less than professional with us.

Buyer beware. Barnes plumbing were supposed to start my basement bathroom for a rough in today. during our conversation he told me his is member of Plumbers local 34 in St. Paul, MN This guy wanted me to show him the work. Then this guy became, very rude, pushy, mean, insulting. and condescending to me. He wanted measurements that I never had. When I told him I don't have them , He proceeded to say I am getting the hell out of here, Then I became angry told him to get the F out of my house. I do not need to be bullied and very disrespected in my own house. I am just a nice friendly common customer who wanted to make a home improvement.
Mike P who gave me the estimate never mentioned measurements.
When I called Barnes Plumbing to make a complaint Mike P told me they do not want to do the job. He lied to me saying we can't get there until September. He did say he would refund me my down payment money in the amount of $3166.68 for this $10,000 job. I did call my bank to make a dispute. I called Local 34 they referred me to the Mechanical Contractor association .

Can't give this company a very good review because they charge the minimum of $170 even for a consult.
I had sent a video and multiple photos of a basic leaky tub and actually tried to do the work myself, but the tile work around the plumbing restricted my access. So, Blaylock sent the plumber out who said he couldn't really tell by the video/photos and basically came to the house and told me he didn't do tile work and left. Because of this visit, it's part of their policy just for coming out even if ZERO work was done.
Highly disappointed as I tried to go local and the both the person on the phone and the plumber was really nice.

Where do I begin? Right from the start after addressing my plumbing, furnace, and cooling concerns Rich P has addressed then all. Now this was a fourth purchase of a furnace and air conditioner unit but the first time we ever used Cities 1, totally professional. They started in the install the very next morning and were done by 3pm. We had bought furnaces from other companies but they never lasted ten years and you might pay a little more today with inflation but Cities 1, did a superb job. I love the warranty they've on their products as well, superb business, Cities 1.

Several friends recommended Dad's. A toilet in my house was running on and the shutoff valve at the wall was stuck, so the only way I could keep it from running was to shut off the water supply to the whole house! Pretty inconvenient. Within hours of my call Dad's sent out a couple of guys who replaced the warped flapper that was causing the leak, and also fixed the line to a bidet attachment in another bathroom that hadn't been working right.
There is something weird about their phone. They list two numbers on their website. I can't remember which one worked, but the first one I tried went to some weird answering system that wanted me to jump through hoops to reach them. I hung up and tried the second number and got through right away. So have a bit of patience, try both numbers, and you'll get good service.

Very concerned about technician's knowledge and honesty. Called for service. Was told I had cracked or plugged heat exchanger. He looked at my furnace literature and never mentioned that heat exchanger was under warranty. He called estimator for new furnace information. Long story short, I looked at furnace information after service person and estimator left. My heat exchanger was still under warranty. I called original installer. He sent out service person, at no charge. It was Saturday. No cracked or plugged heat exchanger but weak sensor. I feel they were looking for sale and taking advantage of woman concerned about heat for home.

No idea of the quality of this service as they never showed up for my scheduled tune up appointment. I waited over 2 weeks for an appointment and when the person didn't show up I called them. First I was told I had the wrong date. I did not have the wrong date. They called me back and said they had to reschedule my appointment but had FORGOTTEN TO CALL ME. We had cleaned out the furnace room and were awaiting the results of the inspection to determine if we could do another home improvement or if we'd need a new furnace in the near future. They REALLY caused problems for us by doing this! I wouldn't waste my time with this company as they are obviously unreliable and have little concern for anyone's schedule other than their own. There are better providers out there who will put their customers first.

Made an appointment with this company the said they were booked out for 11 days. Jim Anderson called way past his appointment time of 8 AM at 10:30 am saying he was having trouble with his truck and he would be here in a hour. Jim arrived around noon and he says he needed a longer hose and a permit from the city and that he would be back this afternoon. Jim never came back or called .So I Called the city and he hadn't got the permit or every been there. I left a message for him after 4 pm and he never called back. Jim finally calls the next day and says his pump is broke and he would call when it was fixed. I told him no thanks and we would find someone else. We called a different sewer Co. and they came out the day same.
