Wow! I can't say enough about how great this company is! Tonight (7pm) I got home to find my Prestige TriangleTube Boiler had some problem with it and we had no hot water. My house is new construction and this is the first plumbing problem we've ever had, so I didn't even know who to call. So I ran down the google list and the first 3 I tried said they couldn't help. I guess it was nice of them not to come out and charge me for nothing, but it still left me with 3 dirty toddlers and no chance for a hot bath. Arghh!

Then I got a hold of Matt at T-Flow. He initially also said that it wouldn't be worth him coming out tonight because he would likely need technical support or parts that wouldn't be available overnight. We made an appointment for first thing in the morning and I was satisfied with that.

However, then he called back... multiple times! He was clearly looking into things because he kept calling back with another question. What's the model #? Does it look like this? Can you text me a picture so I can help you?

So after 30 minutes or so of back and forth texts, calls, and some trial-and-error, my hot water is fixed! No visit, no hourly rate, all just by phone. Amazing! I have never used this company before so he had no reason to help me. In fact, he jibbed himself out of the $175/hr I had already signed up to pay in 12 hours. However, he just got a lifelong commitment in return. I can't say enough. Awesome! Thanks Matt!

Never was a company more accurately named! If I could give Simon from High Quality Plumbing a ten-star rating, I would. From the start when he sent me a calendar meeting invite for the initial consultation, I knew I was dealing with a professional. Simon and his assistant, Nic, replaced a poorly installed Navien combi boiler that controls our heat and hot water when it suddenly died in the middle of winter. We'd had recurring problems with it because of the poor installation. It was a lot of work to replace, and he and Nic worked diligently to get the job done so we could have our heat and hot water back on as soon as possible.

Simon installed a newer model Navien combi boiler that is much quieter and has several new features. He also added several redundant valve shut offs to make future servicing of the system as easy as possible to keep it running efficiently. He explained what he was doing every step of the way, and why each of the components were necessary and what they did, sending links from the manufacturers so I could feel comfortable with his suggestions. He was thorough and careful in planning the system as a whole. When a stubborn problem arose with one of the components, he followed every lead to make sure it was adjusted properly.

After the job was finished, Simon was diligent in making sure that the system was tested properly and that all the valves were labeled so that we knew where the gas and water shut offs were in case we needed to shut off the system in an emergency. He had a city inspector come in to approve the work, so you know he had installed everything according to code. It was approved on the spot with no problems.

I can't say that I've ever had this good of an experience hiring a contractor to work in my home before. He and Nic were respectful,  professional, and considerate. They put drop cloths down where they worked and cleaned up the space afterward. Every evening, they would make arrangements for what time they would each be arriving the next morning, and they were always on time and stayed into the evening some days. I wish I could hire them for every job needed around our house!

They gave me a two hour appointment window.  The serviceman called me when he was on his way and arrived promptly thereafter.  He snaked/roto rooted my main drain and removed a sizable root ball.  Price was very competitive with another service I used in the past.  Everything worked fine for a few days, but then the drain backed up again.  I called Wayne's drains back and they were very responsive.  They came back out ASAP and snaked again, no charge.  Things are flowing fine now.

Got back from vacation to a stopped and hissing toilet. A complete mystery to me. JE Murphy Plumbing showed up next day, as requested, and fixes it with no fuss and no mess. A reliable, responsible plumber who gets the job done.

Bushi plumbing was quick and responsive and fit me into their schedule. It turned out to be an issue for someone doing tiling and not for a plumber, so I was charged a very fair (and discounted) house call and was given great advice about next steps. I appreciated how much guidance was provided and felt like I was totally taken care of!

OVERALL GREAT SERVICE!! My family Couldn't be any happier with this companies service!   Owner Steve, was honest, knowledgeable and incredibly kind!  He made me feel comfortable and at ease during a scary situation last winter.  Unfortunately, our water heater died while my husband was away for work.  I was extremely nervous and scared because... I was alone with my baby and...I did not know what to do in this situation.  My friend recommened Champ Plumbing, so I called Champ letting them know my situation.  The owner than rushed over to our house even though he was extremely busy that day.  Not only did he come right over, he also went to the store and bought us a new waterheater with his own funds, AND installed it that night!  Now a days, you do not see customer service like I recieved from Champ Plumbing.  My whole family has since been using Champs for all our plumbing and heating services. Our oven drawer was stuck for a year and we called Z Plumberz to disconnect the gas and help turn the oven over to loosen the drawer. They got back to me very quickly, and I had an appointment set up within hours! Stavros was excellent - super friendly and easy going. The whole process was quick and painless, and now our oven drawer is free once again! I will be calling them again for any plumbing needs.

Bill did an exemplary job. He is extremely responsive, knowledgable, and a pleasure to work with. His customer service is second to none. He took excellent care of our furnace and addressed all of our concerns. I look forward to hiring him again in the future.

We sigend up with these guys and had our HVAC systems installed in early August. The installers were outstanding.  Justin is a rockstar, he knows his stuff.  He's very meticulous and spent the time to explain how things work.  Larry is witty and was very diligent.  I'm very happy with their work.  I would have given them 5 stars, but the only drawback was the communication took quite some time before we finalized things.  Overall, the pricing was reasonable, the workmanship was excellent, but the communication could need a little improvement.  Otherwise, we're very happy with the project.  I would definitely recommend them to do your HVAC install or service.

Rapid Flow tech came to clean outdoor drains that were overflowing due to the heavy rains we've had recently. The tech explained that my drains were clean and it was just because the ground was too saturated with all the rain that we've had. Thankfully I canceled Rotor Rooter since they wanted to charge me $1700 without even looking at my drains (this was flat rate then if he went over 2 hours wanted $875 each hour after). So glad I called Rapid Flow, they saved me $1,700!

WAY OVERPRICED.  I was charged 270 for a staff person to put a snake down two drains that took 40 minutes from time he came to left. The person was also in area so not a huge drive. Professional staff person but robbery price to do that. My licensed plumber would not have charged me 300 for this.  There was hair in sink. Disgraceful

Called Clark Plumbing after being disgusted by the prior plumber that we had over to go over some work we needed done and get some estimates.  Not only did Bill sound more knowledgeable over the initial call, he also provided a more realistic expectation and estimate over the phone than the other company that sent someone over.  Scott came out to perform the actual work.  He was great!  Not only was he knowledgeable, he was also very courteous.  In less than 2 hours, he had my water pressure issue resolved, installed a new faucet and replaced our garbage disposal.  Both of these gentlemen were great!  Highly recommend Bill and Scott.

Mike was very responsive and professional. He did a great job fixing multiple broken pipes, even in a tough spot under a short deck.  He wore a mask and finished the job efficiently.

I got to thinking about things that ought to be reviewed on yelp more often than the local cupcake shop (we all know they're both delicious and overpriced, okay), and I thought about how awful plumbing problems can be, especially if the experts continue to botch the job.  And then I thought of Joe Mirabella, who had serviced my old apartment three years ago.

And I thought to myself, That guy was AWESOME!  He is friendly, funny, and, moreover, competent and hardworking enough that I remember him three years after the last time I saw him.  Not only did he always do what he came to do efficiently, he would explain all of the issues to us.  He was happy to look at other small things, without fanfare, for which I'm ultra-grateful, because what I thought was abysmal water pressure in the master shower... was cardboard that had lodged in the showerhead. (he didn't even tease me for not thinking to look)

So, considering the nature of plumbing and heating emergencies and that they often require you to let a stranger into the most private areas of your home, I think that knowing Joe is good, trustworthy, and totally not awkward about it is vital.  If I were still in Cambridge-Somerville, I wouldn't call anyone else.

Jim was recommended to us by a colleague.  They were impressed with his work.  We were equally impressed with the work he has done for us.

Specifically, Jim converted our home from an oil boiler to natural gas fired system.  Our house is over 100 years old and required Jim to accurately size our system to order the new boiler as well as install it.  He also lined up the necessary other tradesmen for the project and pulled the necessary permits from the town.  We needed a chimney service to install a liner for our chimney, an oil tank removal service, removal of the old boiler and an electrician for wiring upgrades.    

Jim lined up these contractors and accomplished the installation in less than one day!

We also used Jim for a needed repair recently. He was easy to contact and schedule and very fair with pricing.  

I have a little experience in the trade having worked as a plumbers helper a few summers for my brother-in-law, a master plumber in PA.  In my conversations with Jim I quickly came to the conclusion that he was 100 percent on the mark with his estimate of the situation and recommendations for the job.

Very disappointed and no longer recommend Holmes after being happy in the past. They fixed a running toilet for us, a simple job. Two months later it's running again and we are 1 month past their warranty of 30 days. We're told we have to pay them to do the same job again.

We've always used them for servicing our furnace and they have been helpful and reliable. Today I had my first service call to them for an actual problem with my kitchen sink leaking. They came right away, helped me turn off the water in my basement and didn't even charge me for the visit because the problem is irreparable-requires a new faucet. Very impressed with the friendly, dependable, honest service.

I called Bolivar Plumbing I thing it was December 2017 because my boiler wasn't working properly; it would turn on, but after few minutes it would shut off again. I read in internet several articles and recommendations but I couldn't figure it out, so I called them.

The plumber came, I told him what was happening and immediately he said the problem was the thermocouple. He replaced it in 5 minutes, and try to start it again. Same issue.

Then he checked the gas meter and he told me that I had no gas pressure and I had to contact my gas provider. He also billed me for $180.

The gas company came and replace the gas meter; problem solved.

I never asked the plumber how much would have he charged if he had check the gas meter first.
