My wife and I rent out a small condo in the Pacific Heights neighborhood and we needed a variety of repairs done Fall 2019.
My wife found Eugene on Yelp and he replied very quickly. If you have done a similar search, you know how rare it is for someone to reply the same day (especially towards the end of the year)!
Eugene was prompt and very professional. He was able to repair a circuit issue with a light bulb in the living room light fixture and convert it to work with LED bulbs.
He also mounted two TVs for our tenant and collaborated with her to discern the best height.
Moreover, he came back a second time a couple of months later to do something we thought was impossible; fix our old heater from 1969!
My wife found a replacement through an industrial engineering company here in SF. However, that blower motor was too large to fit into the small space of our wall heater.
So what did Eugene do?? He ended up going to another store and dug around to find a small motor that did fit. Then he assembled (from scratch) a mounting piece so it wouldn't move around.
Long story short, we were very pleased with his work. He will get the job done and think 'outside of the box' too! Priceless.

Such great service! Niko responded to my request right away and was able to come the same day within the hour to fix my toilet. He was incredibly courteous and professional and fixed the issue in less than 15 minutes. I will definitely recommend him to others in my neighborhood!

I just moved to our new place and was super excited. Except one thing. Our shower/bathtub would run water out of both spouts regardless if it was turned on shower or bathtub. I had heard that bell plumbing was super efficient from several clients and since I was now living in a home I needed to find a reliable plumber. So I called Bell plumbing and Freddy arrived a few minutes prior to our designated appointment time slot which was great no waiting. He was able to go out to the work van and grab the part he needed and I guess it was a quick fix. Kuddos to Freddy and bell plumbing. I'm excited I found a reliable plumber.

I can't say enough good things about Jorge Alvarado and Alfa Plumbing. Jorge is knowledgeable, amiable, thorough and efficient. He returned our call quickly, could fit us in, on time, and helpfully explained repairs that were the best use of time. His repairs were just right, parts he used were good quality and all his fixes were a major improvement.

Jorge is a super kind person with enormous integrity and is a pleasure to work with. The best.

Carbo has helped us out with a number of sump pump issues in our basement (winter 2022-23 has been soggy as heck). They are extremely responsive and very easy to schedule with. Once on site, Carbo worked hard to help diagnose our issues and offered multiple options at different price points for moving forward. They are extremely knowledgeable and generous with their time and information. In addition to the specific sump pump issues they were at our place to correct, Carbo answered all my questions and offered information and advice on other plumbing related stuff in our house. I am extremely grateful to have found Carbo and can't recommend them enough!

EBMUD came out to investigate a leak on my water main at my request. Turns out it's on my side of the meter and is up to me to get fixed. Th EBMUD tech says he'd consider this an emergency repair and to get it done that day. I bid the job out with multiple companies via Yelp, and these folks were the second company on scene - but the last company that I called to come out and provide a quote, so they actually responded the quickest! The first company wanted $350 just to dig a small hole (5 minutes) to see what kind of pipe it was under the grass so they could give me an accurate bid - and thought the repair would be $950 or more - I told them to get lost. Friendly plumbing came out and quoted me $450-650 depending on the type of pipe, but capped it at $650. Once he discovered the type of pipe, we settled at $500. He fixed the issue (from his arrival to departure) in less than 1 hr and 20 minutes, so I wouldn't say it was cheap given the material costs were likely just a few bucks - but I really can't complain given it was emergency service, he stayed within the agreed upon upfront rate and implemented what appears to be an acceptable fix.

Assuming there are no issues with the repair (I'll update this review if a problem arises) - I'd absolutely recommend  them, and wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.

Joe was super honest, friendly, and great at his job! He's an old school plumber that you can rely on, and we'll definitely call him now for any future work. We also appreciated him walking us through all of the updates and appliances so we maintain them properly.

Our water heater started leaking. I called several plumbers to get quotes on a replacement. His price was great and said he could be there in a few hours. He gave me a 2 hour window of when he would arrive. He arrived on time and was able to replace our water heater in about 1.5 hours. Great service, friendly and responsive to my followup questions. We required an extensive drainage renovation outside our house. The work took over a week , and required replacing old 4inch drains with 6 inch heavy duty PVC.  Dave and his crew did a great job, and finished with the yard showing little sign of all the work that was done. We had some call backs on broken sprinklers which were repaired quickly.  I would highly recommend Bay Drainage for any drain job you might have. They were very professional, neat, and stood behind there work.

I had a bad leak in my hot water pipe as well as a clogged drain; I called Mauro's and the friendly and helpful person on the phone sent out Oly.   He turned off the water to the kitchen for a temporary fix, then came back out and fixed the pipe.   It was not an easy job, he had to go through the kitchen wall, but did an outstanding job.   I have my kitchen sink back and a working drain, call me one happy camper.   Great job, Oly, thank you!!!

WOW! This company has Morals and respect for their customers. One of the scariest things I was facing my rental property in San Jose had sewer line problems my tenants cannot flush their toilets I called Roto router out to clear the line they were unable to clear the line and was quoting me a ridiculous amount of money I looked at the reviews for trench free the reviews were so good so I was willing to just spend whatever it took to fix the problem with this reputable company I had no idea that when I called the higher then they would advise me that this was a city problem they referred me to the city the city came out and fixed it for free trench free could've charged me up to $20,000 for the work that needed to be done. But Felipe treated me like I was family said he would be happy to come out and give me a quote if the city didn't do what they were supposed to do he said it's not about the money it's about making sure you have what you need in this day and age where everybody is taking advantage of everybody it was so refreshing to be able to trust somebody to do the right thing.
This restored my faith in humanity I would recommend this company whole heartedly!

I was referred to Stefano by a coworker to fix our toilet that was having flushing issues. Stefano came out and explained the problem and then came back a few days later to fix the toilet and it has worked perfectly ever since. I found him to be reliable and honest and would definitely call him again. I highly recommend him.

On January 24, 2023 around 3:30pm PST in front of Chipotle on 5th Street in Alameda; the driver of this Ricks Auto Van opened the van door and hit the side of my car door really hard. He looked me dead in my eyes and had no regard to apologize!! Complete irresponsibility, no accountability whatsoever. Poor integrity representing the company.

Jon and his team were fantastic in taking care of our clog!! They worked through a rainy weekend in the mud to make sure our plumbing was flowing once again. The job turned out to be bigger than initially expected and Jon and his team handled it like champs!! They explained all parts of the project to us and answered all our questions! They are our go-to plumbers for life!

I've had Elim and his team come in to clean my house twice now and they are amazing! From setting up the appointment, to the communication and the efficient and detailed cleaning, they have been a joy to work with. They go the extra mile, cleaning and organizing in ways that I've never thought about and suggesting other fixes that might be needed. I don't know how they do it but they always leave the bathtub so sparkling too! I'm particularly excited to use them because they are able to handle other small handyman projects. It's so helpful to have a team that is so multi-purpose. I highly recommend them and am so happy to have found them on yelp.

Patrick was wonderful. I called him on a Sunday night as our sewer pipe had burst and we had raw sewage all over the yard. Patrick came out first thing the next day and diagnosed the problem which turned out to be the fault of a previous plumbing company who had not completed the sewer lateral correctly. He talked me through what the problem was, looked up the original permit for me, and gave me a contact number for the right person in the city of Berkeley to talk to. Since the error was on the part of the original plumber it was their responsibility to make it right at no charge, but if it hadn't been for Patrick's help and advice this whole process would have taken a lot longer and been a lot more troublesome. I will absolutely use him for any future plumbing needs based on his fast response and his honesty alone.
