Jay Clayton is an amazing master plumber with 30 years of experience.  He does all of the work himself, and he is organized, meticulous, has a convenient contactless system for the estimate and invoice and does great work.  He emphasizes educating his customers about their options.  He came right over when our hot water heater broker and leaked all over the inside of our house.  He replaced the water heater and recommended some safeguards for the future.  He's amazing and I would highly recommend him!

Called to have four septic tanks emptied. Couldn't find two, but they pumped the two the could find. They told me to call the County to see if the records for the tank locations could be located. Did so & called back to say that the drawings on file showed the tank where they had been digging. I asked for them to send a locator and agreed to pay the substantial fee for that service. They said I would get a call back the next week to schedule.

That began a repetitive series where I would call every two weeks or so asking for them to send someone out to locate the tanks. They would say, we'll get back to you next Monday or Tuesday. They wouldn't... and repeat. Over and over.

Each call I made I asked for my invoice. I was told that it would be sent. There was often a reason like, we have to get the number of gallons, or we're printing them soon. It never came... just like their promise of service. Zip.

Until two months later when I get a phone call saying that I owed them for the two tanks they had pumped (which I didn't dispute) and that I was 60 days past due. I said I'd never received an invoice and that the remaining work I'd asked for hadn't been done. They emailed an invoice during the phone call. I agreed to pay it.

Then, 15 minutes later, I get a phone call from the owner yelling that I hadn't payed my bill, that the work was done, that I hadn't followed though. I said I intended to pay and didn't dispute the invoice, just the late billing and behavior. He said, check or credit card. I said I was in a meeting and would call him back with a credit card. He hung up on me.

Another 15 minutes later I get a call saying they're putting a lien on my property for non-payment. The woman who called kept saying, I'm so sorry, I'm just passing on the message from my boss. What a coward!

This sequence occurred while I was in a meeting, unable to get my credit card or checkbook, and after I had repeatedly asked for an invoice... call after call... and they had never given me one. Suddenly it's an emergency that they get paid.

Did they do the work I'd ask them to do? Half of it. Did I owe them money? Sure. Their mismanagement of their billings shouldn't have turned into my problem. It did.

Yeah, I paid them (that same day & within two hours of receiving my first invoice from them). Have they done what they repeatedly said they would? Nope, they sure haven't.

I'd look elsewhere, unless you only want half the job and a bucket of abuse.

My call was answered immediately, and I was able to get a next-day appointment for a repair. Lou showed up right at the start of the window I was given, and did his job quickly and professionally. He gave me a rough, reasonable cost estimate before beginning, and came in a couple dollars below it. I'm very pleased with the service I've received from City Wide, and will use them in the future.

In the last few months we've had numerous things go out on us and have had quite a few people in different fields come out for repairs (some highly rated). Many provided costly services that were completed quickly and we were still left with problems. One even gave up and left us without air for about week when temps. were 100+, with no further contact.

We can't say enough good things about Freddy. He's helped us out twice now, on our (nearly 100 yr. old) money pit of a house lol! Freddy is easy to contact and communicate with. He lets you know when he will arrive and is punctual.  He walks you through the process and is fair in price. In our case he worked really hard and found a solution to a tricky line problem that someone else would have looked at and walked away from.

We're very appreciative of all of his efforts and highly recommend him to others.

Master toilet clogged, backed up to Master shower mid-Nov 2022. Caleb was tech. Friendly, very talkative, and did a pretty intense upscale pitch of VERY expensive services! Seemed to do an ok job. He did some sort of outside inspection before addressing the toilet which then took about 30 min. Today is 2/20 and the toilet is clogged again just 3 mos later. Requested return assessment/repair tomorrow w/different tech. When I Requested diff tech d/t Caleb's high pressure upscale technique her response was, Yes, I know. All make all our technicians do that. Huh......

Aaron has the best availability of anyone!! He always seems to get me taken care of regardless of the day or time.  I've had calls into the warranty company that can't come for a water heater repair for a week, but I can expect Aaron in 24 hours. He is a little more pricy than others but his quality work and the equipment he uses for your home is best of the best. You get what you pay for, for sure. I'm proud to call him my buddy, the plumber!

We just bought the house and moved in. The washing machine hot and cold valves were broken and needed replacement. The scheduling process was seamless, and they're able to come out the next day.

The technician Zach was amazing and courteous! He explained the issue and the steps to repair the problem from start to finish. Very impressed with their service, and this company will be my go to plumber! I highly recommend.

I put in a request for plumbing bids thru Yelp quotes.  My issues were clogged kitchen drain and need new backflow preventer.  Master Rooter was one of many businesses who responded to the request Yelp sends out (I have no control over who Yelp pick).  Master Rooter they could come and give me a free estimate.  When the very young redhead kid named Parker showed up (he was masked) he went up on my roof with a snake and started snaking.  I thought, it sure doesn't look like his actions up on my roof, after about free estimate.  So I told Parker it looked like he was already doing the work, when all I wanted was a free estimate.  He said something about $39 for drain clearing for first time customers, not for the estimate.  Cos another company wanted to charge me $39 for the estimate, so I got mixed up.  I said I didn't know a thing about $39 to clear a drain.  I had another appt with JNR Plumbing (I think he is unlicensed) who quoted me $300 for both replacing the backflow preventer (which other businesses quoted $497 and higher just for that alone) and clearing the drain, and I already gave JNR the job, but he couldn't come till 5 days later.  

So I said OK go ahead and clear the drain for $39, at least I don't have to not use my kitchen sink for another 5 days.  

Well Parker could not clear kitchen drain from the roof, so he had to take apart the U and put the snake in the wall under the kitchen sink.  He said my P trap was too low and deep (my neighbor didn't have the right parts, put in an extension).  Parker said he would correct it for $60.  Since he had the parts on his truck, I negotiated him down for my 70th birthday which was last Sunday to $50  He finally agreed to $50, cos he said the book says $150, but he was very reluctant.  

Oh, the $39 includes another crew that will come back with a camera to make sure the drain got cleared.  No extra charge for the camera, which Parker says is valued at $250 just for the camera visit alone.  

The $39 deal is one-time first drain clearing customer only.  He cleared my drain.  

Parker did research at my house and quoted me $425 to replace the backflow preventer.  

I was going to give a 4 star review.  But Parker was so professional and showing me how to flush my new water heater, and how I should do it every 6 months for the first 3 years, showing my water pressure was, and needs pressure regulator, and other helpful advice, like what enzyme to use in my drains to prevent clogging, I am giving 1 extra star to 5 stars for Parker.  Also getting my drain cleared without having to wait 5 days and probably pay more, is definitely worth the $39.  Parker was very polite.   I would hire him for MY business.  Also, Master Rooter came in 1 day, other plumbers told me they were backed up for 2 weeks.  

My total bill for clearing the kitchen drain, and changing the P trap to a less problematic situation only cost me $89.  Pretty good for a licensed plumber who has to support about 14 trucks.

The camera people came on Monday between 12 and 4, but they could not get the camera into the pipe where the clog was because the pipe was too narrowed and deteriorated.  Also the camera crew quoted to replace my backflow preventor, much more than what Parker quoted, like $570.  I had it done by P&L Plumbing for $350.

I called Ron based on his Yelp reviews. He did not disappoint. My sewer line was backed up as I live in an older neighborhood in central Phoenix. He basically diagnosed over the phone and gave pricing. He arrived within the 1 hour window, worked quickly, and had the line snaked within 30 minutes. The price was exactly the same as on the phone; no mysterious up charges once he arrived. I appreciated that he explained to me how the lines get clogged, and that this would probably happen again every year or so based on how the city maintains the main line that is outside of my property line. He had snaked to the end of my line, but lines get clogged at the connections to the city line because debris grows there, and the city won't take responsibility unless their lines actually stop working completely. It's nice to have someone that is on time, doesn't try to scam for extra money upon arrival, and is honest about how issues arise and what I will need to do as a homeowner to maintain it. He was great!

Needed a plumber in an emergency for my rental property. Rich was extremely timely getting back to me and came out later that day! The price to come out was reasonable as other services in the area couldn't come out same day. He replaced the pipes in my kitchen as they had rusted, and we did not realize.

Highly suggest Rich and his services!! He was professonal and knew his stuff!

Aaron was a lifesaver!  We had a difficult leak on an old poor quality shower fixture.  Aaron worked at it and worked at it, not wanting break the valve and have to open the wall.  He was careful but persistent and eventually was successful!  Leak is gone, no wall repairs needed...he was awesome!

From the wonderful customer service of Melissa to the fantastic work of Kaylor, I could not ask for a better experience. We are selling our rental house in Gilbert and decided to go with different faucets and drains. After reading other reviews I knew that I wanted Kaylor to do the work. Melissa worked with me to schedule the service and Kaylor showed up on time to complete the installation. He took care not to scratch the four new, flat-black faucets or the freshly painted cabinets. He was pleasant, competent and his work was impeccable. The bill was the same as the quote and he finished the work quickly, while also giving me some advice on my hot water heater exhaust. I will use Cactus Valley Plumbing for my next job, which is right around the corner. Great company with solid values and a fair price!

We had to have the drain system in our home replaced due to breakage (it was cast iron). We understood from the onset that it would require ripping out our bathroom. We hired a plumbing company to jackhammer the slab and take care of it. But we still needed to have our bathroom put back. Enter Vlad. From the onset it was not a small job, as you can see from the photos. Vlad was undaunted and let us know exactly what he could do for us. He made suggestions and recommendations that helped us pick out our new materials. Older homes like ours can always pose challenges and that was definitely the case here. But Vlad worked diligently until everything was completed. We couldn't be happier with our new bathroom! We would absolutely hire Vlad again for any of our contractor needs!

I would recommend Kerns Plumbing to any home owners who have concerns on the quality of workmanship when it comes to installing propane gas tank and equipment.  Kerns just installed a 250 gallon underground propane tank in our backyard and hooked it up to our courtyard fire place, backyard fire pit, spa heater and great room fire place.  All I can say is that we are so glad Kerns Plumbing is the one who completed those tasks for our new home.

After the installations are done, Jonathan came out and did a thorough checkup and provided detail explanations before we use any of the propane-connected equipment.  It took a long time to bleed out airs for the first time, but Jonathan did it very patiently without skipping any safety procedures.  In fact, he even came out the second time to bleed the air out at our courtyard fireplace because there was an ignition issue on the first visit.  It wasn't his problem but he just squeezed time out of his busy schedule to come back again, simply because he wanted to make sure all gas equipment works properly after his company installed it.

This is the first time we use propane gas so we have tons of safety concerns, and Kerns addressed all of them.  We always get our responses within 1-2 business days.  This company is all about quality, communication and responsibility.  I thought I would have to contact a propane gas provider to get the best and safest propane gas-related work done, but apparently Kerns Plumbing proves otherwise as they have the right professionals and expertise in the propane gas field, arguably better than any other gas provider in Phoenix (I called the other propane gas providers and most of them are clueless when it comes to technical details).  Kerns Plumbing will always be my first choice if I ever need any propane or gas related project done down the road.

My entire plumbing system was backed up and water was coming up through the shower and onto the floor from the washer. I immediately searched emergency plumber. Roto-rooter came up and I saw they were available 24/7 (this was on a Saturday). They had a technician here within an hour. Andrea was fantastic and fixed the issue; and also stayed with me until the camera technician got here to fully diagnose the issue. Andrea stayed until the end and when they left, our issue was completely fixed. Fast, reliable, and knowledgeable.

What a mistake! Hired Above the Rest Pool Service to perform an acid wash. Mike the owner and only employee will make every attempt to up-sell you on every facet of you pool and equipment. His goal is to scare you into replacing you current equipment with fear, Your pools has cracks and is leaking, Your pump could go at any minute, This equipment could flood your yard and you neighbors, a huge lawsuit. There is no end to what he will say to take you money. And he will take your money; Mike requires all money upfront before he performs any work. This would be OK if he stood behind his work!

Above The Rest Pools does not stand behind their work! Mike said he could patch holes in the plaster in my pool, he was paid for the repairs (He cashed the check). Within 3 hours of the repair the patched areas had cracked and flaked off from the pool surface. I contacted Mike the owner of Above the Rest Pool Service that evening regarding the failed patch work. He claimed the patches were too thin to hold, even though he insisted he could successfully repair the holes. He stated he would refund the cost of the failed repair to the patched areas. Over one month later he has not refunded my money, nor will he return my calls concerning this matter.

From this experience I could not possibly recommend Above the Rest Pools Service!

Do not make the mistake that I did!

Mike, the owner is a rude and dishonest pool contractor period. Do not use this contractor, find an honest pools service company that backs up their service. Call your local pool supply store to find a referral for reputable pool service company.
