Their first price was higher than the other quote I obtained. Scroggins Plumbing contacted me about five minutes later and we made a deal. Their tech, Tim, was excellent! The job was completed in a short period of time and they cleaned up their work area. I am happy with the work I received today.

In February of this year, I had Scroggins plumbing come for a problem I was having with sewer back up. They pulled the toilet inside and ran a snake through floor pipe, and they removed roots from the outside clean out. This did not solve the problem, so they had to replace the entire clean out pipe.  They worked nonstop in the rain and fixed the problem.
I came home from vacation in July, and the floor around the toilet was soft and wet. I called Scroggins plumbing and had them come out.  He gave me estimates to replace the subfloor, flooring, and pulling and resetting the toilet.  He did not check to see if the toilet was loose, he just felt the floor.
I called another plumber for a second opinion. When they came, the first thing they did was check the toilet and said it was loose. They said it wasn't tight and had been leaking for a while. They tightened it down and told me I needed to get my flooring replaced.  They asked how long it had been since the toilet was seated. I told them 4-5 years, because that's when I had it replaced when I bought the house. I had forgotten that Scroggins had pulled it to work on the sewer back up in February.   I called Scroggins back and told them what the 2nd plumber said about the toilet leaking from the wax seal not being tightenet down.  Scroggins said that wasn't why they came for the service call, and there was no way to prove that's what caused it. For starters he didn't even check to see if the toilet was tight when he came, and he did not stand behind his work because it has been over 90 days.

Our neighborhood recommended Scroggins - we did not have a good experience. They were two days late for the appointment (supposed to be a Friday, called after 5:00 Friday to let us know it wouldn't be until Tuesday). Its always fun to stay near the house the entire day to know it was completely wasted. Estimate was $730 to remove and replace a kitchen faucet, then he talked to the office and did it for $400. When he finished he let us know the hot water valve would need to be replaced soon (never leaked before). It started leaking later that night. After not calling us back for two days, they came out and charged $462 to replace the valve (took less than an hour). I would never consider this company again.

Used the company several times recently and very prompt service. Excellent workmanship, prices and highly recommended the company. So, why not give the company a try. Brian is a very nice and knowledgeable young man. Thanks for your excellent on time services.

Excellent service; I should have called them first.

I was very happy with the communication, quality of work, price, and attentiveness and disposition of the whole crew.  I will definitely use them again for any future plumbing needs.

I do not recommend because they don't follow through after multiple requests.  We had a fairly significant flood due to link in an upstairs bathroom.  They were very responsive in fixing the problem but never gave me the documentation I needed to file insurance claim.  I told the plumber (Michael) when he arrived and numerous times before he left that I needed a statement of why and where the leak occurred.  He assured me it would be on my electronic receipt.  However, it was not on the receipt that was later e-mailed to me.  I followed up with an e-mail and a phone call directly to Brian and he assured me it would be updated by the next day (Tuesday).  Now it is Saturday, but I still do not have the information I need.

I had an extremely negative experience with Scroggins. I should have realized I was in trouble when Brian asked me to pay the diagnostic fee over the phone before he'd even arrived. It only got worse from there.

He arrived 2 hours later than he initially said. After 5 minutes he told me he needed to charge a $300 advanced diagnostic fee. Then just 10 minutes later(seriously, suuuper advanced diagnostics), he presented me with a list of options to get my water heater pilot light re-lit.

The top option was $1200, but he said he couldn't do any of the services that day because the part could only be ordered from the manufacturer. The most economical option on his sheet was $400 but he refused to offer that service- why even show it as an option?

A few minutes later he said he could get the part from menards, but I'd have to pay for the part and the after hours fee since he was going to do the Basic Ignition System Renovation,
Mechanical safety system rejuvenation,
Tank contamination service, and
Performance and safety testing that day. It sounded pretty involved but since it was my only option to get hot water back that day, I agreed.

In addition to not being transparent about what he was going to do (hiding it in jargon) and how long it would take, he also marked up the part that he purchased.

Ultimately we wound up spending $1000 to get the thermostat valve replaced. It was a $70 part and he was here less than 3 hours, including the nearly hour he was gone to menards. He arrived at 3, was out the door at 6 and claimed the after hours charge was for the 2 extra hours after 4 PM. I didn't realize plumbers keep bankers hours, but since he charges like one I guess that tracks.

I will not hire them again. Brian gives plumbers a bad name.

I was impressedwith the service several months ago when my hot water heater broke. The very fast response and way the tech laid out the problem and the options for me gave me confidence. So when my kitchen faucet started leaking, I contacted Brian right away. Again, the response was quick, the tech, Mike Cato, was knowledgeable, thorough and efficient. I won't hesitate to call them again or recommend them.

My water heater failed on a Friday, a day before my vacation. Multiple other local plumbers offered to come out the following Monday or Tuesday, but Brian Scroggins Plumbing came out next day - a Saturday - and Brian himself did the work! Extremely responsive, transparent and fair pricing, and excellent work. Highly recommended!!!

Quick response and did an excellent job of explaining the ways to address our leaking pipe. I highly recommend for a number of reasons, but always remember you get what you pay for.

I just replaced a bathroom faucet and had the cut-off valves replaced.

The plumber seems to have done a fantastic job. But they charge more than is reasonable.

While he was already here, he could replace our kitchen faucet with one just like we had. I bought it years ago for about $300.

They just sent me an estimate to replace my kitchen faucet with the one in the photo. Rick said it would take about 30 minutes and the faucet cost is only $300.  It would cost another $585 in labor. $585 in labor for 30 minutes.

Let's say it cost them $100 in ancillary parts. Which it doesn't. But if it did, that would be $485 in labor (for 30 minutes).

Highly recommend if price is no object.

Their work is great. I will share the invoice  once I receive it for the faucet cut off valves and small pipe repair (4 hours labor) and they were already here!

Update: I just learned from their office, they do not charge by the hour.

I would love what unit they do charge for

They would have gotten zero star's but it would not let me.  They came out to my house on Wednesday after my wife called and told them we needed our sewer line cleaned.  My wife told the lady on the phone and the technician when he arrived where the clogs were since we have to get it cleaned every 18 months. The tech told her he would have to assess the situation.  After running water and flushing the toilet,  he came and told her that we had a clog at 50'. He showed her an ipad and told her these were the 5 options she could choose.  The cheapest was 449.00, just to clean the line.  The most expensive 1300.00, you got the line cleaned,  a warranty(1 year,  i think), and a new clean out. Well we had a clean out, and nothing was wrong with it. She asked the tech if she could take a pic of the options or if he could email it to her, she wanted to send the options to me at work,  so she could make an informed decision.  He said he couldn't do that,  because it was copywrite protected(??). At that point she felt she was getting scammed and bullied.  So she wrote him a check for the service call,  and asked him to leave.  I called and spoke with a lady(Jessica/jennifer?) in their office at 12:10 pm on Wednesday 2/12,   she told me that she would check with the tech and talk to her boss and then call me back. I haven't heard back from her yet,  and it has been nearly 2 days.  Called another company they came out cleaned the line with no bullying or attempted upselling for 200.00.  STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!@

This is one company that deserves 0 stars. So sorry I called them. Owner doesn't listen to you and their prices and CS are ridiculous. They charge a $79 service charge just to come out. I know why...once you get his estimate you go..oh hell no. This way he at least gets $80 off every poor sucker that calls. Prices are twice as high then most every plumber out there but then he has you really cuz you already are stuck paying out $80 so he is like...what's a couple hundred more Remember the old shiester movies...this company is a shiester company.

Brian Scroggrins was great! I like that they provide you with different options for the necessary repairs. This was my second time using this company (for separate plumbing issues) and each time they were quick, courteous, professional and friendly!

We are glad we called Brian.  He is very efficient and explains everything.  He tells you what needs to be done and he gives you several options for repair.  He also tells you how long the job will take.  We will definitely call Brian again!  Quality work.
