That owner Zach Gammon has been in the Plumbing business in Danville for many years. Growing up under his father who is still a plumber. Zach has learned the ins and outs of the trade.

I would never recommend this company to even my worst enemy. Shame on them for trying to take advantage of a middle aged single woman who is a Navy Veteran. They had attitude, very unprofessional and kept telling me I needed all new pipes and sewer lines with a $5,111.00 estimate. I called my plumber and he fixed my issues instantly and his cost was only $1200. This company is full of crooks and should not be in business

Had them go out to fix a sump pump that wasn't working, found out it was because there was debri in the whole. Paid $120 to clear out debri so it would work. They went out 2 days later for the same problem and charged me another $160. They said it was because of debri again. The problem I have is it should have been fixed the first time out.

Well well well, I see Apex is taking care of customers in their usual unprofessional manner. I had them come to repair a kitchen faucet that needed a new washer kit installed. Normally I would do this myself but schedules and the holiday season prevented me from getting the kit at Lowes and completing the repair. I thought that while I would pay for my laziness it would save some time and water and correct what had become more than a drip but a steady stream. They were responsive and arrived to perform the repair. The employee went back to town to get the part and returned s short time later. This was a 25-30 dollar part at best at full retail. The repair complete the employee completed the invoice and brought it to my office for payment. $185.00 for a Delta faucet kit and labor of 1 half hour at best. They charge for the time going to get the part as well. The faucet new cost 185.00. I concur with other posters that these folks are less than honest and frankly I know from other customers they had not installed water heaters and other routine plumbing projects by code. They might take the inspection fee but the inspection never happens. The problem is simple Zach Gammon the owner knows that there is a shortage of plumbing pros in the area and he takes full advantage of that fact. I know other posters here have sung their praises but honestly they are either trolls paid by Zach to flood this forum or just plain unaware of how badly they have been taken advantage of. I would not let these people plumb a doghouse!

This place is terrible!! I would NOT use this service/agency. I made a call for my Mom, when I called the office to ask about the rates I was told 80$ an hour. After an hour and half of the worker charged 240$ on my card! Then adds, oh travel time is counted, he wasn't able to fix anything, which I wasn't aware I would be charged for something that couldn't be fixed but then charged for your commute time? I will be reporting this service to the BBB if I am not refunded as they supposedly stated. I am happy to pay the rate at which he was on site working, I would NOT use this service. You know when you think, well, I'm sure it will be fine for me ok use them don't have a lot of other options. No trust me, you are better off utilizing a professional service elsewhere. Never again. Who charges someone 240$ for nothing to be fixed anyways? Gross. Poor management. And worst of all, very Unethical business and service operations. Who else has or will this happen to?

I found the number for Apex through Yelp because at the time they had a good rating. My mom had no water during the two days of 10 below weather we had and she needed to have someone come and take a look and see where the problem was. Well they came out and stayed close to 6 hours and did nothing but put a little spray insulation around an outside faucet and a little heater under the house. He still did not know where the problem was but told her that all the pipes under the house were warm. He stated that the problem was probably between the water meter and the house. It was 9 pm at this point so he had to leave for the night with the heater and left her with a $600 bill!!!!!! Well at this point the problem was not located or fixed.
We called the water department the next day to have them come check the meter to make sure it wasn't froze up there, which it was not and was working fine. 2 WEEKS LATER she still had NO WATER and the weather was warm enough it should have thawed out. My mother called a neighbor that she remembered that used to do this kind of thing for a living and he came up to take a look. He crawled under the house and found that her water had been shut off!!! He turned it back on and she had water immediatley. Apex was intending on coming back to fix her problem and charge her more money!!
I am extremely angry that this happened to my mother. She is elderly and obviously this is why she was taken advantage of!

I called them out to locate a bad smell. The first trip out they charged me $120 and the advice I got was to buy a smoke bomb and blow it through my pipes, I don't have the equipment with me to do the test Really? I'm not the plumber that's why I HIRED one! They returned to do the test, but miraculously found a loose boot and repaired it with no smoke bomb test. That was another $145. The smell remained. Again I called them out, AGAIN they failed to bring appropriate equipment to diagnose, again I'm charged $160, while the gentlemen chatted away while on an $80 per hour clock. They left to get the equipment and did a smoke bomb test; which blew out my toilet all over my bathroom carpets. They apologized and redid the test. I received a quote for $800 that included the potential cost of the tile floor being torn up and replaced. I agreed. They showed me a pipe they dig with a crack. When I asked how much less it would be because there was no tiles dig up or replaced, to my surprised I was charged the full $800... and it did NOT FIX THE SMELL!

My husband is a 100% disabled veteran and we live on a tight budget. In the end, I've paid them $1,225.00 and I have exactly ZERO resolution!!!!

I am giving one star because I have to rate something. I was displeased with the guys hateful attitude.

He treated me with distain and contempt in my opinion.

My bathroom sink wasn't draining and needed a new pipe.


When they were finished with their work, my sink still wouldn't drain, and they wanted another ninety dollars to use a snake.

As for my other issue, they only diagnosed a tub faucet leak.

My bill was over three hundred.

They wanted another six hundred plus to fix the leaky bathtub faucet.

I will never use them again.

I am currently in need of a certified plumber to put in natural gas, and now I am afraid to use anyone.

A terrible experience. They're a bunch of over priced crooks. I wish I had never called them. i wouldn't suggest they're service to my worst enemy. Hopefully they go out of business soon it'd serve them right.

Terrible experience. If you're looking for a company that is upfront and honest about the work they're doing, this isn't it.

The Tech sent out didn't provide us with ANY information on the status of our job other than you're good to go. Then he left with his $245 check. 5 hours later, the same issue happened (bathrooms and crawl-space flooding) and they wouldn't come out to resolve it without paying for the additional service call.

He never mentioned that he didn't solve the problem. He never mentioned that we could possibly experience the same issue. He never mentioned that the agreement stated they were off-the-hook for anything that happens after that point. In fact, he covered the agreement and told us to 'just sign here'.

Extremely unprofessional. Extremely inconvenient.

In a desperate situation where water is flooding your home, do NOT call these folks. You'll pay for services they can't, and won't, guarantee just to end up with the same issue.

Apex Plumbing just left our house. I will never use them again. Two guys, one friendly and polite, one with a chip on his shoulder. I had the new faucet that I wanted switched out, so the only thing they had to add were two supply lines. They were supposed to call when they left to start to my house, they didn't, but that was okay. I was told that the rate was $120 for the first hour and $95 an hour after that. That was acceptable, cause we've done enough plumbing to know that the job would take less than the first hour. Just can't do it ourselves anymore. They didn't care for the faucet I had purchased because they sell Delta and mine was Peerless( which is a good brand name bought from Lowes not some cheap thing). So they didn't get to rip me off on that. They were here 35 minutes and as far as I can see the job was done correctly. But when I got the invoice. I was expecting $120 plus a couple of supply lines. The charge was $187.50. When I questioned what in the world he put in besides the lines I was expecting, He said that the extra was for travel time from Danville to my house. So $10 each for supply lines I could swallow, but $ 47.50 to get here and I was not told about it when I called to compare prices. In the end I feel like they took me for the travel time and I have learned a valuable lesson.
