This company was referred to me by a neighbor when our garbage disposal was broken. I sent a message and within a couple of minutes I received a response and the gentlemen walked us through fixing it! He was so very kind and generous of his time on a Friday night

I have dealt with Richard C. Fox on two occasions and about to venture on my third.  I would not deal with any other company.  They are honest, reputable, and provide a peace of mind service.  I have had them re-plumb a bathroom area, put in a new garbage disposal and now they will be working on shut-off valves for my laundry area.  Richard C. Fox gets back to you as quick as possible.  I was referred to them by a friend and am so glad that she did.  I have dealt with several of their employees and every one of them has been professional.  You can't get better than that.  I know when people read reviews they sometimes think, is this someone that is paid by the company or the company that puts them up to it? I can honestly say, this is an HONEST down to earth review.  You don't get better service than Richard C. Fox.

Amazing!  I purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Home Depot, paid $200 for installation, and although it's been here over a month, it never has worked. A second installer came out to check it and determined that the dishwasher was faulty.  I am supposed to have a NEW dishwasher replacement installed tomorrow, but thought I'd better call a plumber and have him check out this original dishwasher... Tommy, from Richard Fox Plumbing, came into my home, walked into the kitchen, put his finger about 2 inches into the disposal, found and removed the plug that comes standard in disposals.... less than 2 minutes in my home and my faulty dishwasher works beautifully!!  He also repaired a shower head installation that had been installed incorrectly, and fixed a running toilet.... all in less than 30 minutes!  I am SOOOOO IMPRESSED!  All for much less than $200, and done correctly!!!!

Excellent and quick work, very personable, reasonable rate.  After being completely ripped off by other plumbers in the area who did a terrible job and left a mess, it was a pleasure to do business with these guys.  Will definitely recommend to others and hire them for any other plumbing needs.

Came out on a holiday for a quote for a repipe. Honest, fair estimate. After gathering 6 total estimates, I went with them. They answered all of my questions honestly and with no strings attached. I appreciated how much they were willing to make it happen, never said anything about any other competitors, and made it about the job itself, not how they compare to others. I am telling everyone I know to go with Fox plumbing. When the county inspector came to inspect their work, no problems, and he himself said that Fox is one of the good guys, and not to be nosey, but I saw the estimate, and that's a great price for great work.

I called, they came exactly when requested. Highly professional and explained everything. He taught me how my plumbing worked and fixed our kitchen leak. I suggested a more expensive repair and he explained that he would prefer to see if a less expensive option fixed the problem first if it was his house. His option cleared the drain line and everything works like new. Very impressed.

When I originally called this company, the guys were there within a couple of hours, on a Friday afternoon. They were friendly and professional, and rebuilt my kitchen sink pipes in a hurry. However, they did not test the pipes to see if they would reach my kitchen sink. When I called again on Monday to tell them of the mistake, they said they would rebuild it again, but would still charge me. I think they should have fixed the mistake, free of charge, so that's why I'm giving them 3 stars.

Used this company to redo all the plumbing underneath a mobile home, and was pleased with the pricing ($1,000) and the work that was done. Then 5 months later I had an issue with a blocked sink. I was quoted $85 if it was just to unclog the line and it was done very easily. Which it was, but then the worker said that the sink was not vented and needed to be vented. I asked him how much that would cost, and he quoted me $50, so I told him to go ahead and do it.  The sink had not been vented for 15+ years and was fine, but for $50, I figured why not. Well when I got the invoice, it was for $170 in total. When I questioned it, I was told that I was charged for another hour of labor at $85. This was never disclosed to me when I asked for a price to vent the sink. I was ridiculed by the owner and he wouldn't accept the liability that his employee quoted me wrong.  I told him that if he had of quoted $135.00 to vent the sink that was like that for 15+ years I would have declined to have it done.  He then got abrasive with e and kept talking over me and told me to pay what I wanted and to lose his phone number. I did just that. So if you want to work with someone that will mistreat you and treat you badly, then this is your plumber, if not the I suggest you find someone else! ANYONE ELSE!

What can I say about these guys they are consistent at the very least.  Josh has done several projects for me, including installing a hybrid water heater and the attention to detail second to none. The efficiency and service is a huge reason I continue to use them. They stand behind their product and service which is hard to find these days. They usually come out immediately when needed and if they think it can wait, explain why which I highly appreciate. Communication is critical with me, and you can't get any better with them. So look no further for the best plumber here in Lakeland and surrounding areas!!

I called to get an estimate on 3 plumbing jobs and before I was finished, they hung up on me--no return call to me.

We found ourselves in a new (to us) home with a garbage disposal that wouldn't work. I phoned Richard C. Fox Plumbing on Monday morning and his plumbers had the disposal working again in just a few minutes. There was no high-pressure sales pitch for any services we didn't need. The plumbers were personable and professional, and the final cost was a pleasant surprise. I requested business cards for any future plumbing needs we may have, as well as to hand out to neighbors who may find themselves in need. Richard C. Fox Plumbing was a great choice and, while we HOPE to never need plumbing services again, this will be our first call if we do!

Gave Richard C. Fox plumbing a call after hours after what started as a intermittent leak in my garage roof became constant.

Left a voicemail and within a half hour had two calls back within minutes of each other. Shane and Josh both called advising they could come out.  Advised it might be an A/C issue not a plumbing one but would come out and take a look. Fortunately Josh was in the area and was at the house within 20min.

Must be clairvoyant because after taking one look in the attic found it was my A/C handler leaking and not a plumbing issue at all!

Gave me a referral number of an A/C company here in town. Offered to pay the after hours fee, but was told to consider it a courtesy call at no charge.

Will definitely be keeping these folks in my contacts and know who I'm calling when I need plumbing service.

They showed up earlier than expected, made sure to look at everything we explained to them, they began to do their thing and started explaining and offering their expert opinion and advice. Thankfully, all we required was a donut replacement for our guest toilet. They were friendly and professional and thorough. I highly recommend you make them your next plumber. Great company to work with. Always EARLY for scheduled appt. Did a great job at an affordable price on a whole house re-pipe. Showed up within 10 minutes when there was a small issue the next day. Always courteous, professional and dependable. Willing to go the extra mile for the customer. Great recommendations for other needed contractors to help finish our bathroom Reno. They are my go to crew for any plumbing need.

Bought a new dishwasher, and as it turns out, they are more difficult to install than we imagined. We were in a pinch, and so we called Richard Fox Plumbing. We're glad we did. The technician came out the following day and did a great job - had us up and running in no time. He was professional, courteous, on time, and the price was VERY reasonable. We will recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber.

I had an appointment for 11am today with them, I confirmed with them yesterday that my appointment was still on, but when confirming it they asked if I can do 8am instead of 11am.  I said yes so I arranged time to be there this morning.

But I got a call 9 minutes before 8am today which is in the 8am-9am time frame to arrive.   They called at 7:51.  Said something about sick kid, and the other parent is a teacher.   {I know that teachers have substitutes that can teach and when the primary teacher is available such as when the teacher is sick} This would have been better than them cancelling my plumbing appointment 9 minutes before the arrival time range.  I confirmed the appointment the day before and where I arranged time to be at home for the appointment.

I guess they don't want new business and want bad reviews on the internet, such as Yelp, Google etc.....  They could have arranged another licensed plumber to come out, though it might have been a little later, but at least still in the morning.

Very happy with their service.  Came out quickly, resolved the problem and the price was very fair. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend them.

we had purchased our Water Heater from Fox Plumbing in Lakeland Fl 3 years ago.. We had NO Hot Water so we called Fox actually left 3 messages never received a call back! So my husband finally got a hold of the owner Rick Fox told him our problem and he went on to tell us well the fastest we can get by you would be in 7 DAYS from now? We said seriously we are to be without HOT Water for a WEEK? We purchased from you and that's the service we get?? He said yep I have other customers so that's it!! Then he had the nerve to tell us to see if someone comes in sooner go for it!!
Well we did call another reputable company who said we will be there in 1-3 hours!!
It turns out when FOX PLUMBING put our water heater in they NEVER put a Valve on it to turn water off and on.. AND they did not hook it up to the correct Wattage needed for the heater to run correctly so as it turns out the heater was running constantly causing the problem and costing us a lot of extra $$ ...
We had it fixed in an hours time!! CORRECTLY!!
We called FOX Plumbing to inform him how disappointed we were with him and his company..
As of now he never even bothered to call us back!
A company that treats their customers like this should NOT be in Business!!
