David and his team were very responsive to my calls and we're able to come the same day to fixed my clogged sink / kitchen disposal. He came at the time he quoted and explained what was wrong. They were professional and clean and got the job done quickly! Did not leave any mess behind! Thank you for fixing the sink!
David was very communicative, quick, clear with the scope of repairs. Would absolutely hire them again. Fixed my toilet very quickly and easily, even though my toilet was very old! I will keep their number on hand for any future work needed in the DC area.
David rocks! He is super knowledgeable and knows plumbing like the back of his hand. I worked to get a couple different quotes and David offered me the most reasonable price for the job. When he arrived, he was extremely professional and got a complex job done in a timely fashion, and he did it well! He replaced the main water valve, which was a lot of work, installed a water filter, and rearranged the piping for the wastewater outlet so debris would not catch. Finally, David made some solid cost saving recommendations where he could have otherwise charged me for more work. I will be referring all my friends to him for their plumbing needs.
David came out the same day and did great work. He was knowledgeable and quickly completed the work and was able to replace a toilet and fix my shower all in one visit. I'd highly recommend David!

david just left and i'm already writing a review because of how impressed i was! first, i got an immediate response from the company, and then david called me to see my availability. he was able to come the next day and gave me 45 minute notice. he was super friendly and was very upfront about what the costs would be. my garbage disposal had corroded (long story) and he was able to figure that out and fix it within the hour. he even threw in a free drain because my apt didn't have one. finally, he was also really flexible when he had to switch parking spots because i don't have my own spot at my building :) praying to the sink gods that i won't need a plumber again any time soon but if so i will happily go back to this company.

I have been searching for a plumber for a few weeks when I came across David's business here on yelp. He responded right away to my call and worked with me to find a time that would work for both of us. He arrived on time, did a great job fixing my clogged tub, looked at a few other things, explained everything, was very polite and patient with my questions, and had a great price. I would definitely use David again and will be recommending him to my friends!
BEWARE, these reviews have to be associates of David because David is a swindler with no integrity. David is very dishonest and has no shame in his egregious behavior. He charges enormous service fees that were not deducted into the cost of service. My plumbing was backed up and he knew what the problem was from the start however he procrastinated to prolonged the diagnosis and make it appear to be more than it was. Bottomline, my drain was clogged and needed to be snaked. He snake 80 feet which is typical for a plumbing clog and technically should have only costed $300. His service fee was $250 to find the problem however he already knew because he put a hole in the kitchen ceiling where the toilet was. I spent over $900 dollar for him to snake my pipe. He also left a mess for me to clean up. I had to ask him to cover the items in the kitchen where he cut the hole in the ceiling. He did wear a mask however no shoe covers. I know I was crazy for spending the money but I just wanted it over with and no more damage to my property, due to the fact it flooded my basement and did extensive damage. He took total advantage of the situation and for that his blessing will be short. Its obvious that money means more to David than his integrity. One star is being generous.
Great experience with David. First of all, I sent an email late at night expecting not to hear back until the next day but Rebecca responded right away and had availability the next day. I also had to coordinate their availability with my new tenant and they made it super easy -- just texted David an overview of the issue after Rebecca put us in touch and then he reached out to my tenant directly and coordinated timing from there. He called me from the condo after he assessed the situation and was very clear about the issue, what it would cost to fix, etc before he went further. Also, I initially called him due to low water pressure in the bathroom sink, and between the original outreach and him coming over my tenants found another issue with the dishwasher (electrical) that David was also able to assess and fix. So all around great experience. One other note is that they have another business under the name Capitol Handman, which has many more reviews on Yelp, so check them out there for more history and reviews.
We never got as far as getting work done because of an egregious price to inspect and hopefully repair a plastic toilet part. There was no willingness to actually diagnose the problem, and no flexibility on price. For $525 I can get most of a new toilet installed. No thanks.

I had a shower handle that was turning almost 360 degrees which ultimately caused a leak in the shower head. Another plumber came to attempt to fix but only made the situation worse. David and crew came and assessed the situation, purchased materials and corrected the issue fast and efficiently. Most importantly, they arrived when they said they would and were completed in the given timeframe. They are true experts and will definitely be using them for all future services.

Great Service! I called several plumbers in my area and Dave answered right away and was available to come fix my kitchen sink, garbage disposal, and toilet same day. Price was reasonable and service was extremely professional (especially with current COVID requirements). Definitely will be calling here in the future for any plumbing related issues!
Dave was phenomenal!! Showed up within an hour of calling him, diagnosed the problem well, fixed it and told me what to look out for in the future given the type of pipes I have in my old building. Price was very fair and service was extremely professional and personable. 10/10 would recommend. Also very respectful with his COVID precautions. The one bright spot of having some bad clogs in my bathroom pipes is that now I have a reliable excellent plumber for life in DC.
My garbage disposal was blocked and a rusted pipe needed replacement. David and his partner came in, wore the proper protections (mask, gloves) and advised
me on the best course of action. Ended up replacing the disposal and fixing the pipe. The job was expertly done and completed in a timely manner. David quoted me a price and I signed off on it before he started.
This is a strange time to be needing plumbing
work, but if you need anything done call David! I highly recommend.

I had water coming into the building because the downspout needed to be unclogged and the drains snaked. I had one of the big companies come and I was concerned about level of work (he claimed he could not remove the downspout to snake the drains) they could provide. David responded quickly. He was able to get me on the schedule swiftly and get the job done fast and right. While I hope I do not need his services again for an emergency, I would call him in a second for any plumbing issues. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that his services are fairly priced. I've already recommended his work to friends.
David was excellent and a pleasure to work with. Pipes to both outdoor spigots of our rental property had burst after this past cold winter. He assessed and fixed piping for both, installing new spigots and an access panel in the dry wall that had to be taken down for access. This was done in an expedient fashion and with good communication with our tenants and myself remotely. Also provided info re: preventing future issues during winter to our tenants. I will definitely call on David for any future plumbing needs.
David was very professional, was able to see me the same day and confirmed within the hour. He came out quickly, let me know the estimate for the repair, and replaced the garbage disposal within an hour. Compared to the last plumber who was a no show multiple times, this experience was so much better!
I always have an issue with clogged drains for some reason! David came right when he said he would, unclogged my sink drain without any issues. Timely and attentive service. I would recommend them, and will call on them again if I ever have more plumbing issues. Also fixed my toilet for a discount!
DC Plumbing was great! Truly a professional team. We had a leak coming from our ceiling which looked like a small spot at first and then grew over time. DC Plumbing came out, cut a hole in the ceiling, diagnosed the problem and fixed it promptly. Additionally, they patched the ceiling beautifully! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing repairs.
I had a plumbing problem and found these great reviews about Davis on Yelp. So I called yesterday, and he and his assistant were quickly responsive. He was able to carve out time today for an estimate. I was worried it was going to be a big messy expensive project. Not so! David was basically correcting the faulty work of another contractor I had hired 9-10 months ago to install a new vanity and sink. The little leak developed over the 9 months. No PVC should be connected to galvanized steel he explained. He was able to do the work right then, which I appreciated as I had taken the afternoon off.
Very courteous, knowledgeable, & clean. He is also a contractor, so I am going to get an estimate for a bathroom/kitchen renovation in the same building. I would hire him again for plumbing issues. Good experience!

David and his team were great. I reached out for a quote and they were able to fit me in the next day to assess the problem and provide me with an estimate. I was expecting them to come back another day to fix it but they were able to make all the repairs on the spot. My toilet was filling up slowly/delayed, and they were able to replace my pump. I also wanted to remove the shower frame and sliding glass doors from my tub, and they were able to do that as well. I also wanted to change my shower head with one I bought on Amazon and they were able to do that. The service was quick and professional. I'm glad I was able to use one company to handle everything at once. I would definitely use this company again.

David did a great job snaking out my kitchen sink which was a bear of a job. He had to use the snake about six times with three different heads until it worked which took a couple hours, and I'm grateful he didn't give up. He also came back to do some remedial work on the pipes under the sink after noting that one had no seal. On both occasions, he kept me updated on his ETA, arrived on time, and did the work efficiently. This company pricier than the other plumber I was using, but it was worth it to me not to be kept waiting. Would definitely use them again.

I purchased a new refrigerator with a water dispenser and ice maker and my current copper water line connection wasn't fitting properly. After trying to connect it myself (oops!) I decided it was time to call in the professionals. David was great - he responded to my initial request quickly, came out to do a quick (free) consultation to let me know the estimate for the repair, and set up time to come by the next day. He showed up promptly, giving me a 15 min heads up to make sure the timing still worked. His prices were very fair and my thoughts on that were confirmed by friends who work in property management and have been through this before. He was incredibly respectful of my condo and time, which I greatly appreciated.
I'll also say that there are not a lot of plumbers in the area who work on copper pipes and in DC condo buildings, and David is definitely an expert. He explained to me why the existing connection wasn't working and how to prevent any damage in the future.
I recommend David to anyone needing plumbing work done - whether it's planned or an emergency. I know I'll definitely be calling him in the future!
David came right on time. He looked at my first problem and gave his recommendation. I asked him to look at a couple other plumbing issues and he obliged. He and his team fixed my toilet and were on there way. I would use them again.

My toilet flushing button needed a simple replacement. The plumber came and tried to charge me $500 for the repair. I ordered the part online for $20 and fixed it myself. In the process, he also broke a part in my toilet and now my toilet leaks water nonstop. He claimed that it needed to be replaced (it was completely fine before he touched it), and now I need to call a new plumber to get it fixed. Completely scammed.

Asked for a leak assessment and some fixture installation work. Wouldn't provide a quote for the installation portion via Yelp or on the phone but said they'd offer a quote after the leak assessment. Did a so-so job in the leak assessment, but couldn't give me a definitive answer on whether it was solved. Then quoted me an outrageous price for the installation. I called around and got it done for less than a quarter the price they quoted, not an exaggeration.

We had a number of projects that we called David to help with; he came for an estimate very quickly and started work soon after. He and his team fixed the plumbing on 2 toilets (including opening up and repairing our ceiling), a sink, pillars our our porch, and a gate. He has great communication, tells you what to expect up front, and does very high quality work. It was a pleasure working with David, who fixed a leak coming from a kitchen garbage disposal quickly and for the price promised. David let me know that the issue was caused by one of two things, and the solution ended up being the cheaper of the two. Bathroom clogged and bathtub backing up in a one-bedroom, one-bathroom(!) unit I own. Needless to say, a quick fix required. From the time of the call to the response from Owner, David Mizrahi, was about 10-15 minutes. That's probably not always possible, but it was very much appreciated. Very good on communicating when he would be able to be there, allowing for my travel time as well. Arrived on time. Handled the issue, identified additional issues to consider, and cleaned up reasonably well. Definitely a company to put in my top 3 to call for all plumbing issues.

Great work on short notice. High quality and reliable services - highly recommend! Completed a toilet repair and fixed leaking pipes. Helped with some necessary painting on the side.
We attempted to replace our kitchen faucet but ran into problems. David and his assistant were able to accommodate us in their schedule and came the day after we called to schedule a visit. Their visitation was within the agreed-upon window, and David called ahead to provide warning that they were on their way. They knew what they were doing, and resolved our problem an hour.
Called 20+ places looking for help with an urgent leak. They arrived within 4 hours and had great service!
This review is a few months late, but relevant nonetheless. DC Plumbing provides friendly and efficient service with fair pricing. After speaking with Gabriella about the work needed, time was set up to have David come over and work on our kitchen sink draining issue. He and his colleague arrived early and exercised all pandemic social protocols-- something important to consider during the quarantine. He was able to find the source of our problem and took care of it. He even provided insight into how to avoid the issue in the future and made the right recommendations. I would definitely hire DC Plumbing & Drain for any future work.

My shower head was vintage 1958 and impossible for me to deal with. He came up with a quick solution and now im once again enjoying the shower without further damage to my bathroom

The team showed up promptly a few hours after we called and went to work on a few different plumbing projects in our house. I've used David and his team twice the last year for different plumbing jobs after moving into my new condo! One was for a smelly toilet that he and his team replaced the seal and repaired the flushing. The other our kitchen drain piping broke and flooded the kitchen- he arrived within a couple of hours redid the drain pipes and changed out our kitchen faucet! I had a clogged shower drain and toilet parts that needed to be replaced. David responded to me in a timely manner and provided prompt, professional service. He answered all of my questions and gave me some useful tips about preventive maintenance going forward, which I really appreciate. I'll go back to David if I have other plumbing issues. And, he also has the Capitol Handyman business, so he can assist with other home issues as well.
We just moved to DC and I was looking for a good plumber. I found David on Yelp and had a very good experience working with him. He unclogged a bathroom sink for me and installed a new flushing arm in the toilet. After the install I noticed the toilet would periodically run (refilling the tank), and he came back out, diagnosed the problem (porcelain damage on the existing toilet), and then installed a brand new toilet for the same price as the previous service.

I experienced a small leak running the washing machine for the first time in my new house and didn't understand that a small leak can quickly become a big problem. David was responsive, dependable, and a real technician. He shopped around to find parts for one of our showers which had discontinued parts and a very stubborn leak. His diligence in finding the parts kept us from having to do a big dry wall job that would have been required to fully replace the shower. Highly recommend.
Requested an evaluation and quote visit for my homes main water shutoff valve. David arrived on time and performed the evaluation. Quote was reasonable and accurate to market value. David and his team were great to work with even though we had to deal with several obstacles put up by my building manager that forced him to have to come back twice. He was always on time, explained the whole process and was quite good-natured about having to return to finish the job. Will definitely call him the next time I need a plumber.
I highly recommend DC Plumbing & Drain Service. My shower stopped working, which isn't ideal any time, but even worse in a pandemic. David responded to my request quickly, came to my house the next day, diagnosed the problem, and came to fix it the following day. He and Juan did excellent work. David also managed my expectations well: he was up front about the range of possibilities he might find once he got into the pipes and about the time and money it would take to fix the problem. Great example of under promising and over delivering -- he got the work done sooner than he anticipated and didn't have to retile the whole bathtub, as he had said he might. He was also neat and professional and always wore a mask, which I really appreciated. I'll definitely call him again for any future plumbing or handyman issues.
I rarely leave reviews but my experience with DC Plumbing was so good that I had to share. Called DC Plumbing because I needed bathroom sinks and a shower snaked. David was very responsive and scheduled an appointment the next day. He was flexible when I asked to move the appointment to the following day (and it was convenient that we were able to correspond by text). He gave me the price quote upfront which was very reasonable. David and the other plumber were professional, courteous and contentious. He first assessed each drain to confirm that it needed to be snaked. Because the pipes had not been cleaned for some time (we are recent owners of the house) there was quite a bit of gunk. David not only unclogged the pipes but he used our outdoor hose to remove stubborn mildew stains from the sink parts and then cleaned them with sanitizing wipes. He also took the extra precaution of covering the bathroom floor with a cloth pad. Not only do the sinks and shower drain properly now, there's no more malodorous scent when I use the sink! I highly recommend DC Plumbing (and David) for your plumbing needs. He's been one of the best plumbers I have used (and will definitely use again).
These guys are great! They came in on time and gave me a fair price. Easy to schedule repair and honest hard working team. I trust them to do future repairs in my house if needed. They came and replaced my faucet that had low pressure. Thank you!!
