I had a very positive experience with Olson Plumbing and Heating who I hired to troubleshoot my radiant heating system after 2 previous companies failed to deliver.  Their technician was extremely knowledgeable and courteous, and went above and beyond to explain my system and the recommended repairs, as well as saving me $$$ on repairs which he felt were not necessary. Highly recommend

A different contractor did a sewer line job on the neighbors property that backs up to my property (the houses are back-to-back...no fence). The job ended up dragging on for weeks.  One night I came home and found a large equipment trailer (think large horse trailer) parked in my driveway next to the house. This trailer belonged to Olson Plumbing who was working as a sub for the other contractor.  I called the number on the trailer and left a voicemail, which was never returned. Someone stopped that night (prime contractor) to apologize for it being there and that it would be gone by 7:30 the next morning.  Turns out it was a compressor that ran all night. The next afternoon it was still there when I returned home.  I called the number on the trailer to have it removed, which was done that night.  The next morning there were workers in my driveway stretching out sewer lining and backing a van up my driveway.  I informed them I was done having them use my property for access and work area and asked them to use the easement if they needed needed some space. I was told it would only take 30 minutes and it was the only way they could do the job. When done, one individual (owner?) apologized for the intrusion and left.

So thankful to Olson Plumbing!  Needed a super quick turn around for a real estate closing on a chimney lining on a 1912 home.  Someone was able to go that very day, give me a quote and two days later the liner was installed with proper permits with PPRBD.  They saved the day!

My Mom had used Olson's for years, and they had been in town for a long time and done an okay job before. Recently she had a leak and called them; the plumber who came out was unacceptably rude. My Mother is 78 years old, and like many people on a limited, fixed income she was concerned about the cost. He seemed annoyed by her concern , then told her that it shouldn't cost more than $10,000 dollars. Frankly, he was a little bit mean to her and should not be representing their company.  She will never, ever use them again thanks to this one unprofessional person. That's too bad since they have been in the city for a long time. And after he finished, he left a huge hole in the wall and told her she would have to repair the insulation and drywall herself. Really? He could at least offer her the name of someone to call. The bill came in the mail and was over $600.00.

Their technicians are well trained and very experienced. I had a sewer drain repaired with a Permaliner system and so glad that I went with Olson. Quality work at a fair price.  I would call these guys back anytime. Thanks

YOU CAN MAKE SOME OF THE PEOPLE HAPPY SOME OF THE TIME, BUT YOU CAN'T MAKE ALL THE PEOPLE HAPPY ALL OF THE TIME!!!  
With that being said, I am happy to say I had an AWESOME experience with Olson Plumbing & Heating!  I was recently doing some remodeling in my master bathroom.  When my tile guy was taking out the pony wall from my old shower, he noticed that the venting pipes had been left outside the wall hidden by the pony wall.  Obviously, a contractor cutting corners when the house was built.  I also needed a plumber to re-pipe for a new standing bathtub.  And then he informed me that he needed it done by the next day and he couldn't continue tiling until the plumbing was done.  I called around to a few companies and was told they were at least 1 to 2 weeks out for that type of work :(  A friend of mine recommended that I call Olson's and I'm so glad that I did :)  They sent a super nice guy out the very next day.  He worked with my tile guy to make sure they had all the measurements correct!  A week later that same plumber came out and helped install my tub and sinks!  The next day my tile guy noticed there was a water leak from the tub.  I called Mike, the owner, and he sent someone right over to fix the problem.  We are all human and sometimes mistakes happen!  The owner was super apologetic and wanted to make sure I was completely happy.  Which I am!!!  The employees at Olson's were extremely professional and proficient!  Thank you OLSON HEATING & PLUMBING for a job well done!!!  :)

Very pleased with the service from Steve with Olson Plumbing. We have had problems with a water pressure booster pump that was quite perplexing. He stuck with it until the problem (s) were resolved.

Just tried to talk with a person at the Olson office regarding a replacement of a water heater.  Woman was not friendly, but actually snippy.  Told her I was right next to one of their vehicles parked in front of a townhome very near mine in the same complex.  Told her I needed to have the water heater replaced.  Got no where with her.  So, knocked on the door of the townhome where the Olson plumber was working.  Explained to him the situation.  He said he could not do anything.  I asked if he could come around the corner and tell me if I should shut off the water or what to do.  It would only take him a couple of minutes.  He said he would have to charge $96.  $96 to come around the corner to just take a quick look and tell me what to do!!  Finally he said he would come by, but never did come.  Not a company or people you want to deal with!

If I charged for every time in my life that I have helped someone out for a couple of minutes, I would be a millionaire.  Why is everything always about MONEY?

You're not unable to service a mobile home, you refuse to service a large percentage of the population. There is a difference. Either way, you're worthless to me and I cannot recommend your services to anyone.

Awful:  Your time means nothing to the people. Their policy on appointments changes with the wind.  Very defensive when challenged not to mention LOUD rude and childish.

We were not impressed. We were contacted by Olson and they said they could come out early to give us an estimate on a new hot water heater. They came! But, we were told that they needed to look into ordering a smaller hot water heater and they would come the following day to look into it further. They never came-there was never a follow-up call-we never heard from them again. We were willing to pay this company over $1500 for a new hot water heater. Guess we weren't a priority. Or perhaps this company is so big that they don't need our business. My suggestion is to find a company that actually cares about you and follows through.

The service was great but...  we had a home warranty that wasn't covered.  The technician did not tell my wife this until after the job was completed.  She reluctantly paid but felt very taken advantage of. I called Olson and we worked out a deal. It wasn't as much but I felt better.  They billed the insurance anyway and have been paid twice. Now I'm dealing with the home warranty wanting the money I paid Olson.  Saying Olson states I didn't pay. I have the bank statements.

I'm perhaps their smallest customer but you'd think I was a big fish the way they take care of me.  I've used them a few times, always with outstanding service.  

But recently, we had near zero temperatures when our very old furnace gave way in our building.  They came out within hours but the outdated part needed to be ordered and took a few days.  They managed to do a temporary fix to keep the unit nice and warm.

Olson Plumbing and Heating is the best!  I highly recommend Olson!

I had a hot water heater replaced by Olson.  Customer service to schedule the appointment and the service guys were great.  The only downfall was that they said I could only get a Bradford White hot water heater.  I'm fine with that but they didn't even recommend different models.  I was sold a 6 year warranty heater.  I would have preferred to pay for a longer lasting model.  The one they brought out to install is not even energy star certified and a much lower energy factor rating of .63.  It would have been nice to be given some options.

Horrible employees seemed inept and could cate less about their job. Over charge people for the subpar service they provide but can afford to buy brand new cars for themselves. There is a reason they only have 3 stars, please stay far away from this company!

DONT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! I hired them because I had a couple people tell me that they like em. Unfortunately my experience was not so great. The Tech showed up on time with his trainee and both looked presentable which is awesome these days. The tech took one look at the bath/shower fixture and immediately started acting as if it was something from outer space. (It was just an exposed shower unit) basically has a couple more valves & connections than a standard shower assembly  (most of which were already assembled) he had to drill one hole in the tile and tinker with the shower supply line a little but other than that pretty straight forward. it took him 4 hours which is way too long in my opinion. (I am a contractor and have done commercial plumbing in the past) .....BUT WHAT REALLY SET ME OFF IS WHEN HE WAS DONE BEFORE NOON AND SITS IN THE VAN FOR 20 MINUTES, COMES BACK IN AT 12:12 AND TRYS TO CHARGE ME FOR A HALF HOUR EXTRA LABOR STATING WITH ATTITUDE THAT Well We don't charge by the minute. We round up SO I ENDED UP PAYING APPROXIMATELY $550.00 for a slightly unique shower fixture to be installed by a hustler with an attitude. DONT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

Rude customer service plus a heating emergency for a senior citizen and you can't come until 2 days later?  Absolutely poor.  Called someone else and they had availability within a few hours.

I had a garbage disposal pipe burst in a home I just recently purchased - water flooded my kitchen, and started leaking through the ceiling to the laundry room below. I called Olson's and within an hour and a half their plumber Sean was at my home. He explained everything to me in detail & had everything fixed quickly considering the damage - the price was also about half what I was expecting it to be. I personally had a great experience with Olson's and will be calling them again if necessary.

WOMEN BEWARE - THEY WILL TRY TO HARD SELL YOU THINGS YOU DO NOT NEED!!!!!

I had service at my location.  I am very unhappy with the approach that the service technician took with my wife.  He was told that refrigerant leaks out of our system and we needed it filled.  He talked my wife into spending 2 hours looking for a leak.  He drove back to the shop to get a vacuum system to test.  The technician did not have the tools he needed.  I believe this was part of my hourly charge too.  He tried to push a 1800-2200 repair on a 11 year old system, in preparation for a hard sell on a new A/C.  I believe that he was attempting to take advantage of a woman who knows nothing about A/C.  I even listened to the 25 minute round and round discussion on the phone.  I asked direct questions 3 times, each time your technician would start the round and round discussion again.  Finally he charged us almost 400 for recharge the coolant, with a 2 1/2 hour labor charge.  This should of taken less than an hour.

I have a rental home in Colorado Springs that belonged to my late parents.  They had used Olson Plumbing & Heating for decades and refused to use anyone else.  After my parents passed away, I naturally continued to use Olson.  Since I live out of town, they have been exceptionally helpful and accommodating.  They always coordinate scheduling with my tenants, are prompt , courteous and very professional.  They always call me to discuss the work that needs to be done, provide the estimated cost of repair and get my authorization before commencing work.  

I have used them to do plumbing upgrades & repair; furnace inspections & repair and an annual sewer inspection and root clearing.  Their work has been outstanding and their rates are right in line.  

They have treated my tenants with the greatest courtesy and respect.  Any time I call Olson I know the job will be done right, promptly and professionally.  Since I can't be there to oversee the work or inspect it when they're finished, I don't have to worry, I know it will be done right!

I wouldn't consider calling anyone else!  Highly recommend!

They put in a hot water heater but nid not properly secure the water pipe going into it. As a reult, my crawl space flooded. They lied about t and I had to buy another water heater. They cost me tons of money.

I guess Olson is too big to care about losing business. Used to use them for my rental properties, but when I called today they didn't have availability for 5 days, or 2 days on an emergency rate schedule.

Then they said they would only give me a 15-20 min call ahead. I explained that I don't live at the property and I am 45-60 min away depending.

I asked for a supervisor, and I spoke with a nice gentleman that confirmed. They would rather lose business than give the courtesy of a 1hr call ahead prior to service.

Sad to see that they just don't care anymore.

We used Olson Plumbing to remove sinks and associated plumbing from our home in Colorado Springs. We needed this done so we could have the countertops replaced. The plumber turned off the main water valve to the house and removed the sinks and plumbing. However, when he turned the main water valve back on he did not check the work he had done and he missed that one of the valves from a sink he had removed was still on. Water ran in my unoccupied home for nearly 30 hours. When I found the water was still running in the home I simply turned the valve that was left on to the off position and the water stopped running out. I called Olson and they came out to inspect what had happened. They stated the reasoning for the water running was a faulty valve. I'm no plumber but even I know if the valve is turned and the water stops coming out, the valve seems to be working. Now I have many thousands worth of damage to my home and Olson isn't accepting any responsibility. This will obviously be a long drawn out battle to get my home fixed. Beware of this company. There are plenty of other plumbers out there.

They have long been the gold standard for P&H in the Springs.  Between their physical relocation and the pandemic they seem to have lost their way.
My furnace conked out on a frigid MONDAY....they offered to work me in on Friday or Saturday at a premium charge. Their competitor was here the next morning to fix the problem.  I believe Olson needs to get their ducks in a row or they'll be gobbled up by smaller, quicker companies with better communications. (And don't ask about the (much later) bid to replace the furnace.

They certainly live up to the title of Best of the Springs. On a Sunday morning with showers to take and laundry to do and No Hot Water! I discovered my hot water heater had a leak. Since it lasted 14 years I guess it was due. I called Olson at 8:30 am. The on call Supervisor called me back within 10 minutes. He quoted me a price and said the Technician would be here in an hour. Exactly an hour later Jacob arrived and got to work. He was a professional and got the job done perfectly in 2 hours. I really appreciate the service they provided and the great communication from them. No wonder they've been in business for 100 years. Quality pays off.

HVAC maintenance & water heater service. Timely response. Exceptional service. Highly recommend.

Last month we had a technician from Olson come and diagnose why our a/c unit was not working. We contacted this company after having some other jobs completed by Olson at our new home.
After diagnosing the issue, the tech explained the problem. At some point prior to us purchasing this home, the switch part was removed from the disconnect so there was no power running to the unit.
I asked him for a quote to fix this. He told me that it is NOT a possibility to replace that piece (which I learned later on is false).  He told me the entire A/C disconnect unit needed replacing so I requested a quote for this. He said the part would be $100, plus labor to complete this job. Tech had to leave to go pick up the part as he did not have one on hand. Almost 2 hours later(on the clock the entire time), he returned and replaced the unit.
Upon receiving the invoice I was shocked to see that the part actually cost $325 dollars. At NO point was I made aware of this until I saw it in the bill. At NO point did anyone contact me to authorize this extreme difference in price from what he quoted me. Add on another 300 and change for labor, and the total owing was almost $650.00.
As frustrating and disappointing as this was to be completely fleeced and disregarded by your company, I later learned that I could have purchased this EXACT same disconnect for UNDER 40 DOLLARS myself. That's quite a markup. I also learned that I could have in fact found a replacement piece for the disconnect without ever having to get a brand new unit.
After reaching out to the service manager and explaining my situation he was so concerned about my complaint that as compensation he offered me the wonderful and amazing $129 dollar deal to clean my AC unit. (Another attempt to drain more of our hard earned money from our bank account) Really?  Completely disappointing customer service. I refused as there are many competitors charging $79 for the same service so why would I pay that? Eventually he said he would send someone out to do it at no charge, since he didn't want to lose us as loyal customers.
The gentleman who eventually came out and did the cleaning was excellent and also could not believe this whole situation.

We can't afford to be loyal customers to a company that does not care about quality of service and honesty. There was zero transparency or communication.

I called olson   plumbing  I had to wait for 6 days for them to come out in snake my sink. When they came out he had to use 3 different snakes and then when he left here there was to roots in the lines but there was no way to check it I had to wait a week to use my sink. He had asked if I could leave the dishwasher out the middle of the floor and tell they came back to fix the sink.  I told him no. When the second plumber came out to up grade the pipes as the prior owner used silicone to attach the pipes to the cast iron. I had to wait once again for the pipes to let the pipes dry. I waited 14 hours to use the dishwasher.  I still had a clog . The water was backing up into the sink . I called them back out to re snake it . He got all the roots out. I didn't get charged but I wanted to get all the pipes cleaned out so I once again had to reschedule to have them come out.  9 days to snake out to the street

I've used Olson when I was facility manager for a large building, and for my home.  Their service has been quick and well-done, even with the unpredictability of repairs and requirements. They are also well-stocked with ideas for prevention and maintenance, and happy to share their knowledge. The schedulers have also been invariably cheerful and competent, even when things are busy and they are obviously overloaded.
Highly recommended.
