This company is an absolute joke.  I call on a Saturday and schedule an appointment for 1:00 pm on Sunday.  Very professional response, although I had to repeat my email and phone number several times.  I was told to expect a call 30 mins before the appointment for an eta.  At 12:50 on Sunday, I call the office to tell them I had not heard a thing.  I was told technician was stuck on another job in Riverside but I would get a call back in 10 mins.  2 hrs later, still nothing.  I call the office and was now told the technician just got to his first job and I would be waiting a few more hours.  

I basically wasted an afternoon waiting  for these inept people.  Do yourself a favor and find a more reliable company.  I did.

Many years ago, as a renter,  I experienced the inconvenience of a water heater replacement. This was my first time tackling the problem on my own and I quickly found myself at my wits' end when my Plan A to contact the plumber  I had used in the past failed. Thankfully I had some saved mailers from several Water Heater companies and after doing my due diligence, Water  Heaters Only's highly rated credentials convinced me to make the call.  Max D. the technician, arrived as promised to give me hope that my decision was correct.
Max  D met all of my expectations and more. I appreciated his patience and professional can-do attitude as he met several roadblocks in his attempt to work with the confined and tighter than usual space allowed for my small condo's water heater. Throughout the process Max D kept me apprised of the progress. A methodical and painstaking worker, Max D was well suited for this job and I could not be happier. David, the technician, was thorough and knowledgable. Took us through the water heater step by step, told us how to troubleshoot and measures to prevent early corrosion in the tank. Tank was installed in less than 3 hours and all is well. Recommend this company!

Excellent professional installation by Brad; very knowledgeable on general construction. New 50 gallon gas W/H installed 1 day after it was ordered, and it took less than 3 hours to complete. Fittings, pipes, and straps are all up to the new building codes. Excellent cleanup when completed.

My old tankless electric heater stopped working today, May 17. I went to Yelp to look for companies with good reviews. I found Water Heaters Only, INC and called them at 0808 AM. I explained my situation and David said he will send the technician between 1-2 PM to give me the estimate. It was around 1000AM when Mike, their technician called me to tell me he is on his way to my house so expect him in about 45 mins. When Mike arrived, he was very nice & friendly. He gave different options on how to fix my water heater issue. He was very honest and knew what he was talking about. I told him that I would like to just go back to the gas water heater and he said that is doable. The quote he gave me I think was very reasonable considering he had to tear apart the built-in cabinet where my tankless water heater was. I watched him do the work and I can say that he is truly an expert on what he's doing. He was fast, able to drill and place new tubings, and he even fixed the 'mickey mouse job' of my previous contractor to ensure the new installation would be safe and up to code. I was very impressed on how fast he did the installation. He completed at around 1430. He was able to put back my cabinet back just like before. He explained to me how to turn off the water heater in case of emergency & how the system works. I was very impressed with his work. He did not just do it fast but he did it with great quality. The best thing too was whatever the amount he quoted me, that was the same price I paid, no hidden costs & even did some extras for me. He provided a great service & we don't have to deal with cold water again. I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you, Mike, for doing such a great job!

Got a $150 for $300 of service off Angies list, so I thought I'd try them out. Scheduled appointment to have water heater installed, so I took the day off work. Promised me the water heater would be on the truck. When they arrived no water heater on truck. Gave me a written quote, then called me 30 minutes later and said the quote was inaccurate, it was actually $300 more. Coincidentally that was the same amount as the coupon I had; $300, hmmm. Found another plumber to install same heater for $500 less. Do your research people.

Ron showed up early and proceeded to introduce himself and go right to work. The job required some plumbing redesign to comply with code and he explained everything. After starting all went well and the installation looked great and performed as expected. Thanks Ron!

Ron Gautreau came out to our home and did an absolutely fantastic job installing a new hot water heater. Ron carefully assessed the existing hoses, straps, valves, vent, etc. and then explained exactly what needed to be replaced or updated.  He then provided us with a price and after I approved the work order Ron when right to work.  I was very impressed with his commitment to detail and doing it right the first time.  It is very apparent that Ron takes pride in his work. Amazing job thank you, Ron.

I cannot under any circumstances recommend this company. I called them to replace a 16 year old 50 gallon Rheem water heater. After quoting me $2K to replace with a 50 gallon Bradford White gas heater, the technician said my existing tank was a little too tall and a short, 50 gallon tank would be better. He then said the price of that tank would be another $900, so now, $2900 for the installation. The prices of the tall and short tanks is EXACTLY THE SAME! Yet this crook was up charging me for no reason other than, buyer beware.

He also said my sixteen year old ball valves were in decent shape and didn't require replacement. Absolutely ridiculous.I called their HQ in Grass Valley, CA and they couldn't understand why the quote had changed, but I cancelled the installation anyway.

I called another company. They quoted me $1950 all in for the same short, 50 gallon Bradford White tank, and they replaced every ball valve. Imagine that? An honest company.

My recommendation? Find another company.

I had a leaking water heater and called Water Heaters Only.  Christian T. came out on October 8, 2018 and installed a new one.  He took his time and did a nice job with the install.  He re-did the bracing to code and adjusted the venting.  The only issue was that the next morning my kids smelled gas in the garage.  I think Christian failed to tighten up the new gas line to the heater.  Good thing I'm handy with a wrench...problem solved.

These guys came out asap once I realized my water heater was leaking. Same day, new water heater installed, code upgrades completed-- all in a matter of a few hours. And they were super patient as we tried to coordinate work schedules etc.

My name is John Lusk and we had WATER HEATERS ONLY install our new water heater today May 13, 2016. Yes Friday the 13th. Brad the plumber that did the work was very friendly and explained what he was going to be doing and showed us how to light the pilot and how the new thermostat works. He was very clean throughout the whole process which took about 3 hours.

Yesterday, I called and told your staff that my hot water heater wasn't working, and I told them what the error light/message was, and your staff was helpful in explaining how to get the parts under my warranty.  

So I made the call and I got the parts and then I set up an appointment.  

I was told that the labor would be $300 - $500.  

When the technician arrived, he told me it would cost $500--before even looking at anything. So I guess the price was always going to be $500--but your company was playing a game with me.

Then he told me the price would actually be $679 because the $179 service call was added on to the $500. I've NEVER had a repair company that didn't apply the service call fee to the total.  In other words, at the most, I expected your company to charge me $500.

When I called to ask questions at the Riverside office, I quickly realized that the manager was not about to consider my perspective or an adjustment to the bill. He said it costs the company to send a truck out, diagnose the problem, and get the parts, and then there's labor on top of that. But your company didn't diagnose the problem (the system told us the problem), and your company didn't get the parts, I did. So, there was a 5 minute initial phone call and 45 minutes of labor, and you charged me $679.  I am really disappointed and wouldn't recommend Water Heaters Only to anyone.

Water heater in house that we just bought wend bad and Water Heaters Only was sent out by the home warranty company. They were fast and friendly and even made it out the same day that we called. My technician Thomas did an excellent job. Installation was done perfectly and in a timely manner. Thomas even took time to explain everything to me and made sure that I did not have any questions about my new water heater before he left. Pricing was great and no gimmicks. This company is a must use if you need your water heater serviced/replaced.

We had Water Heaters Only to replace a Bradford White on 2/16/15 after we cancelled an order of Sears Kenmore installation, Sears local contractor charged us arms and legs for extra on top of the initial cost. We spoke to Charlotte at Water Heater Only OC main office, got estimated quote and decided to go with them.  Ron called within an hour and showed up promptly, he is very professional and friendly.  The removal/installation took about 3 hours to complete and went smoothly.  The final bill came at the high side of the estimate but way lower than Sears Kenmore.   We are please with our decision.

Water Heaters Only was contacted by our home warranty late Sunday. They called us immediately and set up an appointment for Monday December 15, 2014. They quickly identified the leaky water heater and replaced it. David Pullen was professional, kind and efficient.  We were very impressed with the service we received and would highly recommend water heaters only.

In the evening I discovered my old propane water heater was leaking and emailed a request for a quote to replace it.  Someone called back within the hour, and setup an appointment for the next morning.  Neil arrived and looked it over, told me what he would do, and came back in an hour with a new water heater.  Two hours later everything was working, and he even added some shutoff valves (water and propane) which didn't exist originally.  It was very evident that Neil takes pride in his work, and deservedly so.

We had Ron out to replace our water heater and he was super professional, very thorough and personable.  He installed a new tank within a few hours and walked me through everything he had done.  I was super happy that he was able to replace it there on the spot and not have to wait a few days.  I would definitely use Water Heaters Only again!

Yesterday, the technician Thomas came by and did a change out of the water heater.  Thomas executed the job very professionally, bringing the installation to current code.
It was a pleasure watching Thomas work, very focused and expedient.  He completed the change-out in less than 3 hours from time of arrival.  The cost came in as quoted, no add-ons or change orders
I can only recommend WHO and the technician Thomas.

The service agents at water heaters only are fantastic.  I called looking to have a water heater replaced for my mother who is a senior and probably will not be in her home much longer and they were fantastic to provide me with best practical solutions.  If it were my own home, I definitely would have use their services because they were that good in knowledge and solution.

We had Brad come out to replace our old water heater yesterday. He arrived early,was very professional and did a real good job cleaning up any rust from the old heater. We highly recommend this company. They were able to come out the next day to do the work.

My hot water heater died on a Sunday night and by 3pm the next day I had a new one! Dave in the office gave me all the info I needed and Ron installed it without a hitch.  The price they quoted was the price they charged.

We discovered we had no hot water in the middle of the night. Our water heater was 13 years old so we figured it had seen it's last days. My sister-in-law referred us to Water Heaters Only because the company she works for does business with them. David came out and determined we had a bad fuse so he suggested we call an electrician to fix it instead of buying a new water heater. The next day, January 9,2019 we decided to go ahead with a new water heater anyway because ours was old and we didn't want to have it die on us soon. David came out again and was very kind and professional! Our water heater was installed quickly and properly. We are very pleased and would definitely recommend Water Heaters Only!

The 40-gallon water heater that came with our home was installed 20 years ago in 1998 (which is surprising since Google says average lifespan is 8 to 12 years). We found WATER HEATERS ONLY on Yelp.  
They were available the next day, arrived On Time (in fact a little early), and were friendly and professional.  They installed a 50-gallon Bradford White to proper code (which they said meant raising it 18 inches off the ground since its in a garage).  Price for parts and labor was $1,654.  This included a $50 discount for a YELP coupon.  Only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because my handyman friends on Facebook think it was overpriced, but I have no idea if that price is reasonable as I didn't call anyone else for quotes beforehand.  Overall it was a positive experience using Water Heaters Only.

Update:  I sent an email to the company to inquire about the price I was charged and they called me within 10 minutes and explained again how that price was reached.

Just had my water heater replaced. I am satisfied with the service. Tony did an excellent job.  .

Highly recommend Water Heaters Only. I had three water heaters put in this year in rental properties. They use Bradford White products. Dave Pullen, Tony Edwards, and Ron G. Installed all three at different locations. Each one and did an outstanding job. Everything to code and cleaned up so it looked better than before.

The head manager Dave is the best if you have questions. I called for service and he walked me through the issue without sending anyone out. He goes the extra mile.  Trust, quality and affordable pricing is this company.

Our Mechanic was Ron.  Our invoice # is 1060940.  We contacted Water Heaters Only because we have used them before when a water heater in our home started leaking.  We were able to get an appointment the next day. Ron called as promised when he was on his way.  He told us what the cost would be and exactly what he would be doing.  He said it would take about 2 hours but he completed it in 1 1/2 hours.  He did a wonderful job, left the area cleaner than when he came and explained exactly what to do if there was a problem.  I will and have recommended this company to others.

Our old water heater went out and we contacted our home warranty policy. Once we were ready for the heater to be installed, water heaters only showed up on time and finished the installation to code in just  a few hours. We are very pleased with our new water heater and would recommend water heaters only to anyone.

Awesome experience! My water heater went out so called my home warranty company to have it looked at. They ended up sending Neil from water heaters only and very thing couldn't have gone any better. Neil was at my residence within a couple hours to diagnose the problem and installed a new water heater the very next morning. The work performed by Neil was of the upmost quality and done super quick so we could be with hot water once again. I definitely would suggest that everyone out there uses water heaters only for any of their services as you will not be disappointed by the service at all. Thanks Neil!

On 11/10/14, I woke up to a wet garage - busted water heater!! My home warranty company sent out Water Heaters Only. Their technician David, called to give me an ETA of 30 min - he got to my place in 20 min. He gave me a detailed description of what the issue was and all the things he needed to do to replace the water heater and bring everything up to code...I stared at him blankly. He was very happy and willing to speak to my fiancé on the phone and repeat everything to him so he knew exactly what was happening. In less than 2 hours everything was replaced and done. Needed a new water heater, and didn't want to wait days for install. Called these folks and they were out within an hour! Great service and quick install. The cost was average, $2500 for a 50 gallon new water heater all in. Overall, very satisfied

Our water heater began leaking on Easter. We called for service and were really pleased with their response time, their knowledge, their courteousness, and their pricing. Ron Gautreau gave us the time to expect and he was early (something my husband and I really appreciate). He diagnosed the problem and fixed it very quickly and we were up and running! He was very nice and we would highly recommend him and his company to everyone!

We used these guys for a tankless Noritz water heater. We received multiple quotes and their quote was reasonable for the tankless install. They were professional and timely. Exactly what we needed when our old water heater broke and we had no hot water. The installed job looks great. Much better than the monstrous old tank we had previously.

Brad came out today, 7/30/16 and installed a new water heater.  He did a great job but it took 7-1/2 hours which seemed like more than it should have taken.  In his defense 2 hours of that time was waiting for approval from a warranty company.  I would use them again.

Am I happy that I need a new water heater? No. Am I happy its getting done the day after I called and I feel that I can trust the work? Heck yes.

He's adding flexible connectors to the top of the tank and supporting it with 2x4 which were missing from the original install. Good stuff.

Water Heaters Only was called by our home warranty company to fix our leaking water heater. I placed the call on Sunday morning, and within a few hours they sent someone over to inspect it.

The technician Dave Pullen promptly identified the issue, and was able to replace the water heater with a new unit.

Great to have hot water back!

Mike provided us with a quote better than the others we received so we made an appointment.  He arrived the next day and completed his work faster than estimated.

We had an issue on 7/6/2016 and called our insurance company and got lucky to get this company.The service guy David Pullen) did a great job of finding the problem. Was very pro-active in getting things taken care of even before the insurance company called back. Let us know ahead of time what other issues there could and would be. He even helped clean up some of the mess too. Only complaint was that he wouldn't let us keep out copper piping.

Our water heater started leaking all over the garage floor and I called the home warranty service immediately.  Water Heaters Only was called for the job and within 3 days a new water heater was installed. Our water heater pilot went out and we needed to have it replaced asap. We called around asking for quotes and Water Heaters Only were very helpful and explained their services very well. They came out same day which we are so thankful for! They were affordable and their technician Marcus arrived right when we were told he would (gave us a call to let us know he was on his way which was nice). He did an awesome job! He was very respectful and he answered all questions and concerns we had. Highly recommend them and will be letting our friends and family know if they ever need their services.

Water Heaters Only is a great company!  David Pullen came to my house today on Sunday and replaced my water heater 12/21/2014.  He was very knowledgeable and did a great job.  The whole replacement took 2 hours.  Highly recommend this company.

Woke up in the morning water heater was leaking .so I looked on yelp found Water Heater only gave them a call there were able to come out in about 2 hrs . Thomas came out replaced the water heater did a good job answer all the questions I had.  I would definitely recommend them if you need to replace or repair you water heater .

Best customer service I've seen in a while - From the first phone call to installation and then cleanup. Laurie took my call and did NOT immediately demand my address - she asked me questions and gave me the realistic albeit painful news that my aunt had a 32-year-old water heater and would most likely need to replace it & gave us an estimate. Tony showed up the next day with a smile and the more painful news that the estimate would be higher due to all of the surrounding junk blocking the water heater. And afterwards he put everything back, right where it was, and still smiling. This company is doing something right cuz the employees are all know how to treat the customer. After 22 years my old water heater sprung a leak and it needed to be repaired ASAP. Found Water Heaters Only online. They gave me a rough estimate for replacement and had an employee (Julian) respond to inspect my old water heater. Julian was at my house within an hour. Ultimately, my old water heater needed to be replaced, which Julian was able to do. Julian was friendly and professional and took the time to answer all my questions. Good quality and professional work, thank you for the quick response and installation of my new water heater.

10/20/16 - Well the Water Heater didn't make it the fill 6 year warranty, and came up short just before it was to end in 6 months. Heater failed on a Friday night, 6 months left on the warranty, so gave WHO a call the next morning. Mentioned I was a previous customer, so they looked up my invoice and confirmed, and confirmed under warranty. Scheduled to send the tech out the next day (Sunday), which was fine since I was going out of town for the day (Saturday).
 Got a call from WHO Sunday AM, the day of the reinstall to give me a heads up that their truck had a radiator issue and they had to reschedule to the next day (Monday - Columbus day). I didn't deduct a star there because I know stuff happens, and it was a Holiday weekend. Just one more day of sponge baths...
 Monday/Columbus Day the day of service, got a pre-call from the tech (Mark) to confirm that I was home and he was on his way. The tech arrived and we discussed the work. I was quoted about six and one-half bills for the replacement, which I immediately balked! I expected to pay something (i.e. labor), but that was about two-thirds of the price of the full installation 5 years ago (about a grand), new heater and all! The tech suggested I call the office manager for a cost breakdown. After discussions with the manager, on repeat customer, customer loyalty, and an extra days wait, we agreed on five bills, which included three and one-half bills just for the truck roll...(The manager  even offered to leave the water heater for me to install, if we could not agree.....hmmm.....don't know if that comment was serious, feeling insulted at my reluctance,  or tongue in cheek...)
 We agreed on the revised quote and Mark set out to install the replacement. Judging by Mark and the previous tech Fabian, their techs do great work. New heater, strapping, vent/pressure relief line, new ball-type cold shut off valve,  new gas valve and sediment catch line, and re-securing/reinforcing the exhaust the job was complete in about 2 hours.
 As the Mark  was packing up, I passingly in conversation mentioned that this heater will give me a new warranty period, of which Mark corrected me, saying the the new heater is only good for the remainder of the existing warranty.....eh???
 In any case, we had hot water again that afternoon.

 Summary assessment: Well, taking in consideration the replacement cost, and only the balance of the warranty left, I think that will conservatively cost them a star. Should realistically be two stars down, but I'll add one back for the competent and professional techs....

 On the fence if I might call them again the future or not. Then again, when faced with an emergency, that are a known quantity, so it's possible.

I woke up last Sunday morning to a small puddle in my laundry room.  My 20 year old water heater was done!  I called the number on the water heater (Water Heaters Only) and talked to Brad.  I asked if there was an extra charge for Sunday and he said No, but I can charge  extra if that would help LOL!  I had to be out in the morning so we arranged for an afternoon appointment.  He called as I was on my way home, and arrived shortly after me.  Brad did a quality job and left everything neat and tidy!  My new water heater is a 40-gallon Bradford White (made in the USA).  Monday night, I told a friend who said the price was very reasonable.  All in all, a great experience.

THEY ARE A RIP OFF!! We went thru fidelity to get our water tank replaced. This company was asking for more money than they were receiving from Fidelity claiming it's expensive. According to Fidelity, they were charging us for turning off the water Seriously?!!!
I was home the entire time, the tech, Brad, didn't bother once coming to me, showing what the situation is and discussing the options.
It's a shame during these tough economic times, this company is out to rip people off and make money.
FYI reviewers, they're last review before mine was a year ago. Clearly have service and customer service issues to work on.

We have employed this company for our home's water heater needs since 1990. As always this technician, Brad, was a professional. He called 30 minutes before his arrival on January 11, 2019. My water heater went out on Saturday morning and I scrambled to find a quick replacement.  Water Heaters Only offered the fastest replacement.  The service representative was on time (actually he called 30 minutes early) and completed the job within the timetable communicated.  Very professional with no surprises.

Our water heater started leaking about three weeks ago. After being provided several companies from the  warranty company and either no reply, no answer, and screwing up appointments , FINALL, WE GOT RON @ Water Heaters only. What a blessing. Professional, personable and followed through. After finding out all we had been through even though late he made sure our new water heater was completely installed that same day. Working past 8:00 pm to make sure it was completed.

This review has to do with the person who answers the calls. I called him this morning to request a free estimate but he refuses to make an appointment and demands that if he sends someone out that I would HAVE to buy a replacement water heater. Absolutely ridiculous and big red flag. How do you know the water heater needs replacement without looking at it? That is not how you run an honest business. Too bad, their plumber Ron was really nice and I was hoping I could schedule him for an appointment. You just lost a potential customer.

This morning we found no hot water in the house. Checked my gas line. All good. Checked the pilot light on my water heater and no flame. Tried igniting it and no flame, no spark. Drag. And here I have guest staying at my house. How embarrassing to tell them we don't have any hot water. Called WHO! Water Heaters Only answered quickly, and right away gave me a quote for the possible issues. Even gave me a quote on the worst case scenario (water heater replacement). Told me technician David Pullen will be out within an allotted time slot in the morning. David came within an hour! David was very nice and a great teacher for me and my wife on the handling and what to look out for on our water heater. He showed my wife where to shut off the gas, water, hot water in case of an emergency. We ended up with the worse case scenario as parts for our old water heater were not available due to being discontinued (and old). But we were discounted from the price due to being a repeat customer. Thanks WHO and especially David for being quick on arrival and installation.

Thomas came to our Long Beach, CA home within hours of us calling. Our 15 year old water heater needed replacing. It was in the second story of our house, up a curved staircase. Thomas had the old water heater drained and out, the new one installed and working, in approximately 3 hours. He was completely professional and we highly recommend this company if you need a new water heater.

I called a number of places and received estimates from several plumbers to install a new water heater. It was not an emergency job. My current water heater was 18 years old so a number of code upgrades were required. OC Water Heaters had a very reasonable estimate and every code upgrade was explained. Paul did the work in just a couple of hours, and I am very happy with the finished job. Some other companies wanted almost 1K more and didn't appear to even want the work. I would definitely recommend them.

Brad was our mechanic on 11/19/16. We were referred because of Fidelty. We had our water heater repaired. He was so professional and courtesy. He truly loves his job and spoke highly of the company. He was one time and communicative. Thank you, Brad!!!

Brad arrived on time & did a great job replacing our water heater. Finished when he said he would & carefully cleaned up so the garage looked better than when he arrived. Did a very professional installation & took the time to explain how to operate the controls. He is a very dedicated honest guy. I would call him again without hesitation!

Discovered a leaky water heater the afternoon of May 8, 2017.  Called Water Heaters Only and they sent David Pullen within an hour.  Ordered two water heaters that met my expectations.  upgraded my installation of both units to meet new earthquake standards for San Clemente.  Had me up and running again with a couple of hours.  Cleaned up everything, was if it never happened.  Very pleased with professional install.

My water heater took a dump on us yesterday for the third time in a year.  Having little kids, I wanted it fixed ASAP but I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for weekend service.  (It was Sunday, also happened to be Mother's Day)  They advertised that they charged no extra for weekend service, and in fact, the estimate they gave me for repair was less than I had paid other companies to fix it during the week.  Unfortunately though, the time frame conflicted with our Mother's Day plans so we arranged for them to come today.  The technician called me in the morning and said he had openings 2 hours earlier than our scheduled time if I was interested.  Yes, Please! Tony showed up and he was so nice and professional.  I was leaning toward replacing the unit because after all the repairs I had already paid for I could have bought a new one.  Tony was very honest and said he could fix mine, or replace it whichever I prefer.  He replaced it and brought the whole set up up to code for about $400.00 less than I had been quoted by another company.  Everything looks great and I enjoyed my hot shower! Water Heaters Only is amazing!  From start to finish David was professional and courteous and walked me through my options including working eveything out with my homeowners warranty. Not only did I get same day service, but David did a really good job with the installation being less than 2 hours!  I would highly recommend David and Water Heaters Only! We had a positive experience with Water Heaters Only replacing our water heater through our home warranty. They came out to our leaking water heater within 24 hours of the service call, made a quick diagnosis, and had everything needed to replace our water heater then and there. Unfortunately there were several modifications that we were charged for (such as earthquake straps which we already had) which they just reused which was a bummer but overall David was a hard working and efficient serviceman who took care of our problem quickly. I also love that they are available 24/7 should we have any other problems.

Easy and the pricing was the same as quoted. Hopefully I won't need another water heater for a while but if I do I'll be going here. Thank you!

I was referred to Water heaters only inc by Fedelity home insurance! Our problem was never addressed and the tech showed my roommate how to turn up the heat and some bs that there must me so much calcium deposits in my tank and that's why we have our issues! Our problem was that it would turn on and off at random times not temperature (electrical box on water heater) Hopefully this will be resolved ASAP! I don't write bad reviews but a 3 hr window miss work and have no resolution costs everyone valuable time and money! Now they will need to give me another 3 hr window and cost me and my roommate more time away from work!!!! 3 stars bc I'm sure this doesn't happen often based on previous reviews I've read, so maybe this isn't the normal!

Had my water heater replaced on 6/22/16 by Dave.  He was courteous and informative about the questions I had about my water heater and the problems that I had with it.  I learned a lot about my water heater from him.  He did the work within 2 hours.  Watching him work, I could tell that he has a good work ethic and that he was knowledgeable about everything that had to do with water heaters.  This company was at my house within 24 hours of my phone call.  If you need a new water heater, call this company.  And if Dave comes to your house, then you will receive great service.

Don't bother!!  First they forgot to schedule my appointment after calling to verify that they could service my water recirculation pump.  When I called to confirm the appointment today they claimed they don't work on tankless heaters despite the fact that it states on their website that they do AND this has nothing to do with the heater that works just fine.

Our water heater was leaking and we had no hot water. My friend (who is also a realtor) recommended me to reach out to Water Heaters Only and said she recommended them to all her clients because they were so great. Luckily my home warranty company also had Water Heaters Only working on my case. Ron came out on 12/11/18, 4 hours after I contacted the home warranty. He was very friendly, efficient, professional, and detailed. He took time to explain what he was about to do, finished it within the promised time frame, and walked me through what he had done and how to take care of my water heater. Also, Ron said they always have someone answering phone calls 24/7 whether it's 4am or on Christmas morning, and they do not charge extra if they have to come out on holiday etc. I would definitely recommend Water Heaters Only and Ron to anyone that needs service on their water heater!

Great service by our Tech (Ron) and it is nice to be able to call a company and get a human on the other end 24/7.  I hope to not have to use them again, but if I did they would definitely get the call.  Also, I would definitely be requesting Ron to do the service also. Water Heaters Only installed my first water heater in 1997.  It began leaking last week and I contacted them using the 24 hour phone service.  Their technician, Thomas, came out the next day within the time frame scheduled and installed my new water heater.  He was quick and very friendly and did a fine job.  I had hot water before he left and it was as if there never was a problem.  I have recommended Water Heaters Only to my friends.  Order Number 1030221

Responded quickly to ask the make/model of our water heater, but didn't respond once info was given. An hour later I replied again looking for an update to which they finally responded saying they don't carry parts for our model.  Guess we weren't important enough to respond to once they realized they couldn't make money off of us . Sad way of conducting business.

My water heater  - which was about 10 years old - simply stopped working on Saturday morning.   I tried several times, and the pilot would not re-light.

I found the Water Heaters Only phone number the old fashioned way - by looking it up in the local yellow pages.  I called them around 10a on Saturday, and spoke with Bill who suggested that I first try to replace the thermo coupler myself on my unit and that might fix the problem.  I'm pretty handy around the house, and his description was very clear so I figured I'd try that first.  I appreciated his suggestion, and that he did not go right into selling me a new water heater that I may not have needed.

So I went down to the local hardware store.  I got the inexpensive thermo coupler, and installed it.  I tried the pilot re-lighting process again several times, and unfortunately it just didn't work.

Around 1p I decided to call Bill back, and explained the situation.  Then he explained that it might be a faulty gas control valve - which is a very costly part.  It didn't make much sense to put a new expensive valve on my old water heater so I told him I just wanted to go ahead with installing a new water heater.  Bill said he would schedule an installation for me, and that it might be the next day (Sunday).  I said that sounds good, and then I expected to only wait a day to have the device installed.

A short time after this their dispatcher called me back to explain that their technician in the area - Fabian - had an opening at that he could actually come out around 2p-3p on Saturday to install the new unit.  This was great.  Fabian showed up during the specified time and promptly removed my old unit and installed the new one.  As he did the work he very clearly explained what he was doing and what would happen with the plumbing in the house with the change.  He completed the job in a little over an hour and we had hot water again about 45 mins after that.

Overall it was a very good experience and I'd recommend Water Heaters Only to my friends if they needed a referral.

But the real gem is Mike Cohen, who called to say his ETA was 20 mins. and arrived forthwith. We decided to go tankless, something we had wanted to do anyway, but also because Mike was a man with knowledge, experience and enthusiasm.
He showed up at the appointed date and time and did a fantastic job with the installation of the Tankless Water Heater, explaining what he was doing and what each step was for.  The care that he took to place the unit and where to place the pipes to make it aesthetically pleasing was a great and welcome surprise.  He was positive, polite, kind and worked so efficiently and expediently. Furthermore when we wrote the check it cost exactly what he quoted us, with no extra charges.

Had our water heater replaced on 8/08/16 by David.  We called after discovering the water heater was leaking and David was sent to take care of it the same day.  He got the job done quickly, was very efficient, courteous and friendly.  We've relied on Water Heaters Only for years and have always been satisfied with their service.

i called about 5 different plumbers for quotes for a leaking release valve.  There were a few nice plumbers, but this plumber had the best price AND 2 year labor warranty. Chris called before he came and was very thorough with the installation. Definitely will go with Chris here, thank you Chris!

Brad came to our home after a major SNAFU with American Home Shield.
AHSs plumber (?) (PLYMWR) would install one, a week later. Their excuse was they got the Purchase Order Friday noon and their supplier closes over the weekend! Our heater I shut off the water heater 11/17 due to leaking.
AHS after calling numerous calls finally said they'd reimburse me for the install if I found a suitable plumber.
I DID, not some 1star plumber! I called Water Heaters Only.
Brad installed the water heater and did a stellar job! He installed it properly and to current building code(s).

I had a bad thermocouple, according to the guy from the gas company, so I called water heaters only. On the phone the guy told me I needed a new water heater and it would be $3000. I told him the gas guy said all I needed was a thermocouple and he told me to change it myself and hung up. The thermocouple cost me about $9 and to his credit it was easy to change myself. But any business that tells you you need to give them $3000 to fix your problem before bothering to come out and give an in person assessment deserves one star.

Referred to by Home Warranty. But couldn't have been happier. They promptly called once my home warranty call was placed. They came out the same day and were finished in less than 2 hours. David was knowledgeable, in a good mood, personable (which is nice when your belongings have been drenched in water)...overall a nice guy. Thanks for the quick service! I really can't speak to price, since I chose not to get competitive offers, but Water Heaters Only was incredible in terms of service.  I called around 9:20 on a Sunday morning and by 3 PM installation of a new, high quality, water heater was complete!  The technician, Ron Gautreau, could not have been nicer or more professional.  He actually encouraged me to ask questions about any part of the installation.  There wasn't any pressure to replace my existing unit, although the advantages of doing so were explained.  Repair was offered as an option.  But with a water heater about 12 years old, I preferred to go with full replacement.  Overall, it could not have been a more positive experience.

Woke up New Year's Eve day to discover that our water heater had sprung a small leak. We were referred to Water Heaters Only by our home warranty company, and they came out promptly, did the work quickly and professionally, and left us with a well-installed new unit that was up to current code. Our technician David Pullen was businesslike and knowledgeable, and I would definitely recommend the company to others.

I called them at 10pm because my water heater had blown a hole, shooting water all over the garage floor. Whoever answered walked me through turning off the water, the gas, and describing how to drain the tank until the following day, when a repair person could address the issue.  I was impressed how patient and kind the after-hours operator was. Highly recommended!

A nice outfit and really care for their profession.  I was deeply considering 3 options: standard water heater, tankless and forced-air.  This firm focuses, it appears to me, on the standard water heaters but were willing to work with the forced-air types.  The latter is a high-efficiency, high-btu (meaning good heat transfer) tanked water heater.  However, because of costs and because this firm is easy to work with, we went with the standard water heater.  The installer, David P., was prompt and courteous and did a nice and clean install.  The new water heater, same size as the old, is working fine and appears to be better.  If you are not into water heaters, these guys are great for you.  If you are into the details then you have to ask questions and take some initiatives.  Our water heaters was installed 6/7/18.  Reviewed by Andrew C

I discovered our water heater was leaking around 9am 7/09/18,and called Water Heaters only.  David was at my house by 11:30 and had a new water heater installed in less than 2 hours.  David was courteous and knowledgeable, gave me several options to consider, and made recommendations to extend the life of the new water heater.  Very professional, fair pricing, and responded quickly--highly recommend.

The morning I discovered a leak coming from the water heater, Water Heaters Only came later that morning.  Daniel was our technician and he was very friendly, arrived on time, and laid out the plan for the replacement.  Once our insurance approved the replacement, Daniel came back later in the day to install the water heater.  We were very pleased to have hot water again and to have such an informative technician who was able to explain how to maintenance, light the pilot, break down everything that was installed, and recommended water heat levels.  I would highly recommend Water Heaters Only and will continue to use their service in the future.

I have a 100 gallon water heater that decided to leak within the warranty period.    This review should be a 4.5+ which is almost as good as it gets.  They initially did not want to replace the 100 gallon tank because the system they now carried was too wide for the crawl space in which the new water heater had to go.  However, they came up with a great solution of two 50 gallon water heaters which would also give us a backup in the future should one of them leak.  In fairness the new solution was significantly cheaper than the original solution.  

I have to give a special kudo to David, their installer.  He was great trying to accommodate us from the start as well as working so diligently to get the new water heaters installed quickly.  He was meticulous and took extreme care with the floors and cabinetry in our house.  

I would absolutely use them again.  They are very good and I highly appreciate their work. Give them a call and you will be happy.

Once again Water Heaters Only came through for me in a pinch. While I was on vacation several thousand miles away, a valued customer in San Fernando had no hot water and 4 kids. She called Water Heaters Only (talked to Bill L) and they sent Fabian out to replace the thermopile assembly and gas control valve under warranty on a weekend. She called me back and raved about their excellent service. Thanks guys, you never let me down.

Ron came out on a Saturday and looked at our heater and told us that we have to replace it. We asked how long will it take to replace it and if we can upgrade it to a bigger tank. He said that he would be able to do it the following day and it shouldn't take him more then 3 hours. Sure enough the next day we had a brand new water heater. He was so helpful in accommodating us so fast considering that both my husband and I work during the weekdays Ron was able to take care of us. When he showed up he looked professional and was able to explain the whole process of changing it in details. He went over the safety features in details. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to family and friends. I would also suggest that you ask for Ron if you want things done as quickly as possible. Thank you again Ron.

Great service!  Our water heater was old and we knew it would die soon... however, you are never prepared to only have cold showers!  Luckily, Water Heaters only was able to come out within 24hrs and install a new water heater same-day!  Great service by Ron 11/25/18. -Ryan

Do not use this company. They will charge $150 just to show up, overcharge for parts. They suggested I buy a new waterheater for $1200 when my $6 part was SUPPOSEDLY on a backorder. They evidently don't keep Water Heater wiring in Stock  (?) So they can totally gouge you. I wish I had just waited one day for Water Heater Man. They aren't crooks.

I would definitely recommend Water Heaters only.  We had our water heater go out. On 5-14-18 David Pullen from Water Heaters Only was coming between 12-3.  Dave called me to let know when he would be here and even asked if that worked for me. He and his partner were efficient and professional. Our new water heater was installed quickly and works great! I will definitely let my neighbors know about Water Heaters only and I highly recommend this company.

Max D. The technician did a great job, he said it would take about 3 hours and he was true to his word.  The roto rooter guy came out the night before, you could tell he did not want to do the job. But the next day we called
waterheateronly and max D. came and did the job.

I would probably give these guys a 4.5 if it were possible.  They did a fantastic job, and they were very quick and efficient.  They were even kind enough to move a couple of pipes around in my garage for no additional charge (other than parts).  As far as quality, service and professionalism, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them.

That said, they are not the cheapest guys in town.  In fact, I felt like they were a little pricey.  I have learned the hard way in the past that you get what you pay for when it comes to contractors and service professionals.  So, while I wish that it had cost less to replace our water heater, I do feel that I would likely have gotten a lesser quality of service if I had chosen someone else, based solely on price.  It's better to pay more up front for a quality job than to pay less up front, but have to pay for it again later when the flaws in the installer's workmanship surface.

So, to make all that a little more succinct: you will get great quality service with Water Heaters Only, and you will pay for it, but it's worth it.

Brad was professional, friendly, and efficient.  He was able to come out quickly after I called, and we had the new heater up and running after just a few hours.  He wore a mask, and even helped clean my garage to have a clear working space.  I waited a few weeks to write this review, to be sure everything works well.  So far so good!

They repaired my water heater in June, and then in December, my house's radiant heater stopped working.  I wasn't sure if the cause was related to the previous repair, so I asked them to come out and take a look.  The same technician,Thomas, came out the second time.  He did all that he could, but unfortunately, the problem was with my house heater, not my water heater.  I paid the service fee and was still left with no heat.  Thomas was great, kind and patient-he explained everything.  And....... to top off the experience, a kind gentleman from the office called me 10 minutes later and informed me that they had torn up my check. What a wonderful Christmas gift!!!!  Now that's how you run a business!!!!
