We are a family owned business that started in 1990 as a sole proprieter under the name of Aqua Tech Plumbing. We service all areas of residential plumbing of which many became family to us. In 1990 we decided to incorporate and change our name to The Family Plumber, to depict who we had become to our clients. Our slogan Just Like Having A Plumber In the Family is who we are.

We just had a great experience with The Family plumber. Ray was on time, professional, and courteous. He explained everything to us. We plan to hire them again soon to replace our toilets. We plan to use them for all our plumbing needs here on out. They are awesome, especially Ray!
These guys do real nice work and they come on time. Highly recommend these guys. Replaced a water heater. Straightforward no nonsense.
The plumber was on time, fixed the problem quickly, cleaned up after himself, and charged a fair rate. The reason we are not giving a perfect rating is that the plumber recommended other possible repairs which a year later we have not had to do. He was not, however, pushy, about trying to get us to do the extra work.
I have used The Family Plumber on different occasions and have been extremely happy with their services. I will use them every time and would highly encourage anyone in need of a plumber to do the same!!!!! Love these people!!!

We've had the Family Plummer do work in our house in the past.

I've used this company twice, both times were emergencies and they were very quick to respond. Yesterday was the second time I had to call on them. It was a weekend so I got their answering service who advised I would receive a call back from a tech. Within minutes, Arturo called me back and gave me an ETA. He was very polite and pleasant and when he arrived, he was exactly the same. Arturo quickly assessed our issue and found a solution. While he was working, we chatted about dogs. He's gotta be a great guy if he loves dogs! He was fast, effective, polite and clean. They broke the mold with this guy. I would recommend this company if you have any plumbing issues. The plumber just left my house... I'm so glad that I used them again. I need a plumber so infrequently I'm not in the know about the area plumbers. fortunetely when I googled it I remembered that I had used The Family Plumber before. Mine was a after hours call but the showed up quickly. The guy was super professional and friendly. He went above and beyond fixing my problem and ensuring I wouldn't need to call again for quite a while.

We have used The Family Plumber for years and they are always very honest, reliable and get the job done! Everything from large to small jobs. I highly recommend you use them for any of your plumbing needs.
Someone's review below with one star is bogus. How can they be late when then give you an approximate window of time. Plus they always call either way. I have used this company for years. Some people must think they are the only customer in the world and cant wait to say something negative. I also doubt the cost was a huge difference. They are busy for a reason, most customers give TFP repeat service! I just had TFP at my home today. I won for the biggest hair ball in the pipes, ever. Their plumbers are always very courteous and clean up after themselves. Their workers never look like the stereotype plumber ... no cracks hanging out!!!!
We had a sink back up, so always, we called The Family Plumber. We have used them in the past and didn't search around for quotes. We just called and were booked for the following day. Nicolas couldn't have given us better service. The sink drain took a while because we haven't needed to unclog the drain for at least 10 years. I asked Nicolas if he had time to flush our water heater since the banging and clanging each morning has gotten more and more annoying. Our water heater is less than five years, but it has never been flushed. Instead of having my husband try to tackle this, Nicolas was able to get the job done with only one hitch, the value was full of deposit and he needed to switch it out to complete the job. Not only were both issues solved, Nicolas gave us professional, kind and patient service with all our questions. We highly recommend The Family Plumber and you'd be fortunate to have Nicolas show up.
Anthony recently installed a kitchen faucet and did so quickly and efficiently. I am completely happy with his work. He is a pleasant person and I'm happy to have him do some more work for me. The price seems reasonable to me for the installation. Next stop, bathroom faucets.

Looked at Yelp to get these guys and their work was fine but you had better not be looking for a reasonable price. Guy looked under the sinks for a minute and said $615. At this stage they were here and I needed the job doing so I said OK. This was for removing and installing 2 bathroom sink faucet sets and supply valves. Took 2 people 2.5 hours. No breakdown of charges on the final bill which was $614.
Asked for a quote on the removal, installation and purchase of a new 50 gallon water heater was given a lump sum of $1485. No breakdown again and no discussion of what sort of water heater, where alone there could be at least a $200 difference between a pilot light and an electronic ignition. Looks like they price on what they can get away with!?

Had a water leak from upstairs ceiling, called at 8am, owner arrived before 11am as promised. Within 10 minutes identified problem not to be plumbing but A/C. Referred me to a good A/C guy, checked all my plumbing fixtures, did not even charge a service fee. Will use Family Plumbing for all future needs.

Awesome business. Had a leak near the water meter and the water company said it was on my side of the meter so it was my responsibility.
Called The Family Plumer. Vicki was great in keeping me updated on everything having to do with the job. The owner came by Monday morning to see what needed to be done, said by mid afternoon he would have an estimate. Called 2 other places with one being around the same price and one was way to high.
Phil the tech was great, did everything that was needed. He did the job in 1 and a half hours which was half the time that I was told.

Sept.2016, Complaint about THE FAMILY PLUMBER, in Los Al @ 562-431-1960,
My rain drain from the rear patio to the front curb is blocked, needs at least a 75' snake. I called THE FAMILY PLUMBER Friday afternoon. A man came out & confirmed the problem, but didn't have the time to snake it. I wasn't home but he told my daughter that the office would call me back after the weekend to set up an appt.
No call. I called them Tuesday afternoon to get the cost estimate & set an appt. The receptionist knew nothing about it, & would call me back after she checked with someone. No call.
I called Wednesday in the morning... still no answers, and would get back to me.
I called in late afternoon. Again, no answers, but would get back to me.
I called again after closing, got the the answering service & left the message that I was very dissatisfied with THE FAMILY PLUMBER.
First think Thursday morn, FAMILY PLUMBER called me to apologize, cost is $120 and they can come out next Wednesday. I declined. Will contact other service.
I have used The Family Plumber for relocating and replacement of my water heater and rerouting and replacement of the main-line to my house from the parkway. I have met most of the plumbers and can say they have all been knowledgeable, professional, and friendly.
Today Josh came to repair two toilets and replace the hot water stem on a bathroom sink. The stem has been frozen which Josh knew was a problem the Kohler company had with this model and would replace for free as part of their life-time warranty. To make a long story short, Josh's knowledge is going to save me $580 on the hardware for our double bathroom sinks! I had previously had another plumbing company try to repair this problem and they couldn't and had no idea as to the Kohler warranty.

Prompt, efficient, and professional. I had a leak under the slab. We have AHS home ins. We went with Mike and The Family Plumber instead of using the AHS plumber and a insurance credit. They are that good. Thanks guys.
4-3/4 stars. They replaced a leaky gas line for me a few years ago at a reasonable price and did very good work. They had to tear up my back yard to run the new line. Put things back together very well, but not 100% perfect. Okay, I am nit picking here. It was a difficult job and they are not brick layers. Would definitely use them again.
Their employees are very professional and courteous with a genuinely great attitude. Those attributes are sadly lacking with most businesses.
Called Family Plumber based on prior comments. The person answering phone was a kind lady and knowledgeable (Jen). We needed a repair/replacement on the flange and wanted a free estimate. She asked the right questions if our toilet was already removed (it made us save on cost by removing ahead) but they could also do. Josh (their professional plumber) came by and gave us good diagnosis and cost. They ended up doing the job and we are so pleased. They gave us 1 yr warranty on the job. We will not hesitate calling them for future plumbing needs.
I am so thrilled! Came on time, called first. Clean, polite, professional. Very fair pricing and showed me how to do something myself that saved me $$$. Absolutely one of the top service professionals I have ever encountered!

I live in an older home with tricky, older plumbing. The Family Plumber has always responded quickly to my problem and sent out professional plumbers who have done a great job. Jan, in the office, keeps thing running smoothly. Recently, my laundry room flooded and I called the Family Plumber. Aaron came out and got to work solving the problem. My laundry room is tiny but he never complained or showed frustration about having to hop over the washing machine when he went to his truck. He always had a smile and a pleasant disposition. He explained everything he was doing and even showed me pictures on his phone to back up what he said. He cleaned up the area before he left. Aaron was persevering, competent and efficient. I was very impressed and satisfied with all the work he did. He represents The Family Plumber in the best way possible.

The Family Plumber has never disappointed. They are always on time, do the job correctly and go the extra mile. I've used them for routine clean outs of the drains in my old 1950's house. Highly recommend the family plumber.
The Family Plumber truly deserves the 5 star rating. I called on Friday morning for a slow draining shower expecting an appointment next week, however they were able to give me an appointment in the afternoon same day. I even got a call advising me the technician (Robert) was on his way. Robert was professional, informative, and very respectful. I highly recommend them if you need any plumbing services.

I needed a kitchen faucet repaired. The 1st time they came out they wrote down exact parts I needed from Moen. These were free to homeowner. When I received the parts they quickly returned and replaced. They are honest, clean and very fair costs. I would highly recommend them and plan to use them again for any plumbing problems.
Wasn't the biggest job but done on time and fair price. Awesome inside staff and tech Andrew!
I had some plumbing work done by them a few months ago and waited to see if everything hold fine which did . Their service is great from customer service to their technicians. Highly recommend them .
Paul and Eddie came out today to help me understand why my washer drain was backing up. These guys were professional, courteous, and figured out the problem in no time. Called them for second opinion after Rotor Hero tried to snake the main line and said something was blocking the snake and would cost $4000-180000 to fix. Called The Family Plumber and they snaked it and were a fair price, not much more than Rotor Hero. Wish I had called them first. Also, Rotor Hero left my toilet off, I asked Family Plumber and he told me how to do it instead of charging me to do it. I did it based off his directions and Youtube in less than an hour. They are the best.
We just moved to our new house and of course you never really know the people who lived there before. Our sink clogged last night and we have a house warming party tomorrow. I had such a wonderful experience with this company from the moment I called the lady was super nice and assured me someone would be at my house in ONE hour! I was shocked it would be so fast. Anthony was the guy who came. He said He needed to snake it. Once he was done he cleaned everything up and the sink works perfect :) Such a good experience that I asked him to give me a quote for another project. Needless to say I will be using them again! Had a plumbing issue late Friday night & the plumber I normally use wasn't available. Found this company through yelp. Called & was told a message could be taken & someone would call me back. Got a call back 20 minutes later. Michael who called me back was very helpful on the phone. Said he'd be here on Saturday & he was. Came with Steven & they were both so incredibly professional. Talked to me about the work that needed to be done. Price was in the range of what he said it might be. I was very impressed with the work they did. Family plumber came to give us a plumbing estimate - 45 minutes late. The estimate was much higher than anticipated and they couldn't get to it for almost a week. We called another plumber nearby - he got the job done same day at a third the cost and we were very pleased with the results. You can do much better than Family Plumber.

I called the office and left a message Tues night because I was having a party the next day (Weds) and my kitchen was a mess and my sink and disposal were not working (leak under sink). I couldn't do dishes! I spoke to Vicky on the phone the next morning and she made miracles happen for me. Steven was my Tech and he was fabulous! I've used this Company many times and I'm always so impressed. I truly feel they are honest and fair. They tell you to have a Blessed day. I love that! I didn't think about leaving a review before but I felt like I should because of how consistently wonderful they have been. I can see why there are so many fantastic reviews here, they deserve it!
I want to thank everyone for all there help with my plumbing issues.Robert and his assistant did a great job. They explained what needed to be done and worked really hard to finish .after the work was done they cleaned up .i was impressed .I would definitely call them again if I had anymore problems.i am sorry that I can't remember the assistants name but he was very helpful too.

I have been using this service for 8 years now and will never use another plumber service again. The office staff is exceptional and always calls with appointment reminders as well as calling when the plumber is on the way. Their prices are fair and their work is superb. They always come quickly and take care of business. We had a horrible toilet clog on a Sunday evening and they were here asap! They even cleaned up the overflow and were so kind to my mom. I love these guys!
Recently had a bathroom added to our house and after exactly ONE shower it flooded my bedroom. The Family Plumber had a guy come out within an hour the day after thanksgiving. That's impressive by itself. They were then able to find the problem and write up a report so that I able to move forward in getting things fixed. Solid dudes.

I LOVE these guys. I don't LOVE plumbing problems but if you have one then Family Plumber are my go to guys.
I first used them after I tried to DIY it. It was late. I had to shut down the water service in our house due to my mistake. Josh came over and fixed it quickly and professionally. While he was here, I asked him several questions about the business. I specifically wanted to find out if it was locally owned,(yes) more than ten years in business,(yes) more than two plumbers (yes). I figured that someone who lives nearby and has survived a decade would probably do good business. I also wanted to know if it was a one man operation or if they had enough staff to cover holidays, vacations etc.
I decided to give them some more business. They installed a new clean out and jet cleaned our main line, they replaced our shut off valve, and finally did the plumbing on a shower remodel. Mike, the owner came over several times, discussed each project and provided ideas and feedback. He recommended a good tile guy. The office provides written estimates(by email), schedules the service in a timely manner and provides reminder calls. When I had to reschedule, they were very accommodating.
Let's face it, quality work takes good people who know what they're doing. With that in mind, their rates are fair.
I confidently recommend them to anyone.

Wow, wow, wow! What a great business with fantastic people and service! I can't say enough about how kind and thoughtful everyone was. My pipe burst outside my home and it really turned out to be a pipe to nowhere. So they quickly gave me an estimate and did the work and were so kind as to check and double check what was done to ensure that nothing was left without water. The communication was fantastic! Thank you. I will call again whenever I have any home plumbing issues! Very very happy!

I'm so satisfied after years of using their services I would never look for another plumber. Steven has expertly helped us now 4X, both with minor (RV plumbing) and more involved house drain repairs over the past five +/- years. Hands down the best owner and operated by a fine family.
I went with The Family Plumber based on their Yelp reviews for my area (Los Al / E. Long Beach). I had a no-flow clog in the master shower. I was not disappointed! I have used other big name plumbers in the past and now have a go-to for my plumbing issues and they have a customer for life. I called them late morning on a Friday, expecting to get service on Monday. They had an opening later in the day and booked me right away. I received a call back a short time later from Vicky. They had a technician just clear a job in the area and he was at my house about 1 minute after I hung up the phone. Michael was very courteous and friendly. He had the drain clear a short time later and cleaned up well afterward. The price was fair with no add on sales attempts etc. I wish I knew about Family Plumber long before wasting money on other overpriced, price gouging businesses in the past.

This is the 2nd or 3rd time we have used these guys. Andrew showed up right on time, was clean, knowledgeable and did good work for the amount we were told with no upselling or fees. This company also does a great job of checking their messages, returning calls promptly, and scheduling jobs quickly, which is one of my favorite features in comparison to other companies.
Fantastic service! We needed a couple drain lines replaced and used Yelp to locate plumbers. The first highly rated plumber gave us an estimate of over $4,000 dollars. That was way more than we anticipated, so we contacted another highly rated plumber from Yelp for a second opinion and all he wanted to do was snake the laundry room drain line. He didn't even bother to go under the house. So, we had two extreme estimates and were getting frustrated. Called The Family Plumber and did not tell them what the other plumbers quotes were. They came out, identified the problem and did the job for thousands of dollars less. Anthony and Mike did the work and were on time, courteous, professional, clean, and a pleasure to have around for a few hours. Save your time dealing with quotes from the others. I am very impressed with The Family Plumber and feel quite comfortable in using them again.
I've used The Family Plumber a number of times and they're fantastic. Professional, friendly, and honest. Plus they never tried to talk over my head with plumbing-speak. Prices are comparable but their service in my opinion takes them over the top.
Sent a $110 bill to me for services two months after the initial visit, which was just to show up and make a minor tweak to our toilet. You can do better than these guys.
A pleasant 5 star experience. I had a kitchen sink backed up and called them in the late morning. I can't remember the technician but he arrived before I got responses from a couple other places I called and my problem was solved at a reasonable price. I was so happy that I didn't ask for the coupon discount.

Very happy with The Family Plumber and the service they provided. We had the garbage disposal replaced and they were the most prompt to answer and quote a price and replace. The office staff was friendly and courteous and very accommodating with my schedule. I will gladly use them again for our future plumbing needs.
I've used Family Plumbers at least 3 times. I've been very, very happy with their service each time. They've fixed plumbing problems in my bathroom, attached my ice maker water line, and fixed leaky outdoors spigots. Phil came yesterday promptly to fix my outdoor spigots. He was very friendly, courteous and professional. Their office staff, especially Vicky, is also, always so friendly and accommodating. Their fees are very reasonable for their excellent service and work. They will also be first on my list when I need a plumber. They are the best!!!
While other work was being done in our kitchen it was discovered that we had a leaky hot water valve that needed to be replaced. As a result, no hot water in the kitchen. The Family Plumber to the rescue once again! After a quick call found out that they could come out the next day. Arturo was our plumber and he was efficient, very knowledgeable and so very kind. He arrived on time and we received a courtesy call 15 minutes prior to his arrival. Not only did he quickly fix the issue but he fixed a problem with the garbage disposal we didn't know we had which saved us a future problem. The original estimate was honored and we will be calling them again for any future issues. I feel confident the kitchen was fixed appropriately and will specifically ask for Arturo.
My family has used The Family Plumber for many years and we are always appreciative of their professional manner and expert service.

I have used Family Plumber for at least 4 jobs in my little old 1957 home. They are always professional, honest and they reasonably price their work. Since I now rent out my LBC home, it is important that I trust my contractor. I have had terrible experiences with Home Warranty Plumbers and and other local plumbers tend to price gauge, what a racket!! I am happy to say that I finally have a regular plumber. Their front office is always professional and Vicky is super nice. Trust is everything and I truly appreciate them!
I'd put more stars if I could. I love The Family Plumber. Professional and personable. I really enjoyed talking to Robert who has worked on my house twice. Week before major cooking holiday Thanksgiving and they fit me in to repair my guest bathroom toilet that has taken upon itself to start a loud moan when you flush !! My relatives would not appreciate that at all so last minute I called, fit me in, gave me a time update early in the day when the technician would be at the later side quoted and another call just before he arrived. What service! Josh was knowledgeable about the situation, fixed it up quick and clean and out the door with a friendly goodbye. The family plumber is a top notch business. I called them this morning about a leaky toilet and they came out the same day. The two servicemen, Anthony and Philip were professional, knowledgeable and polite. They told me exactly what I needed and they got the job done within about an hour. They were clean and explained everything to me. The price was reasonable. If you need a plumber then by all means call the family plumber. Believe me you will not be disappointed. This will be my go to plumber from now on.
I have been a client for a number of years. These plumbers are professional, come on time and get the job done. Their prices are fair. I have been very satisfied with this company and have recommended them to several friends, all of whom have been satisfied.
I will call them every time! Quick response, honest, knowledgeable, and talented plumbers! We had a toothbrush stuck in the toilet. Took several attempts to figure out what was wrong and the most economical way to clear it. Every plumber who came was polite, on time, quick and creative.
I was lost impressed that their prices were 50% CHEAPER than the competition. I found out one reason is that Family Plumbers earn hourly wages instead of working on commission. Might explain why a competitor said they couldn't help me for less than a thousand dollars. Yikes.
Family Plumber every time.
I am from the central coast area. I have been in the HVAC/R trade for over twenty years now. I have worked my way up the ladder and now am a manager. As a manager when a customer calls in with a problem, I am expected to give them a solution. Not the run around and hold my hand out for more money. I deliver the best service and expect the best.
This service call was not for myself , but for my mother. I'm on vacation visiting for just a few days, I have no time to deal with this plumbing problem my mother has at her home. So I called the local plumbers.
I called 6 different companies, but these guys stood out. I asked specific questions that they had no issues answering. I made the appointment and left my mothers home and continued on my way.
I received a call stating they were going to be late yo the original time slot given but things happen. I know. I called and informed my mom and she then called me the next day and said she was extremely happy. They didn't fix the problem but had two guys out for over two hours working on this problem.
Now I knew this was going to happen and did try to explain this to the dispatcher. This is why I knew I didn't have the time to do it myself. So in reality I was expecting a big number to correct this issue. I just need them to show up and evaluate the issues. Which they did.
My mother was impressed and so was I. I will definitely be using these guys with any future problems at my mom's house or anyone that ask me that lives in that area. I grew up in Long Beach and have a lot a friends and family that always ask who I would trust. I now trust the Family Plumbers..

The family plumber was very responsive and helpful. I had a leaky faucet and Steve came out last Monday and Checked it out and gave me an estimate. I purchased a new faucet and pea trap on my own and they scheduled an install a week later. Ray came out and installed the faucet. I asked Ray to try to be as quiet as possible because my wife was sleeping. He said no problem and he barely made a sound while he repaired the faucet. He wore booties to keep my floor clean, wore a mask and did the job quickly, quietly and cleaned up nicely.....and the faucet looks great!!!! Ray really went the last xtra mile for me and I really appreciate it. He even took the time to pet my dog and give him some love!

Called them to fix a clogged washing machine drain. They provided two estimates, including a Hydro wash, which we had them do. The washer drains very well now. Unfortunately, the technician inadvertently broke off my garden hose connector while connecting his own. After I discovered that, they agreed to come back here and fix that. As my drip system was also connected, the tech broke off that piece, (with the broken piece stuck in the hose-end) and recommended a rerouting of the hose bib and drip. As I did not want to spend additional money, Mike offered to do the re-piping for no charge, as long as I take care of the hose. I agreed and they did a fantastic job of installing a new hose bib and water shut off for my drip system.

Mike/Vicky/Josh have been fixing plumbing issues at our house for years. From replacing the main water line to cleaning backed up sinks to snaking the main drain to the street, they have done excellent work on everything. Mike has even provided free advice for a house that we own in another state. The Family Plumber family goes out of their way to be helpful.
I had to find a plumber fast. I had a burst pipe that was leaking in the ceiling, and causing lots of damage. I first called the Family Plumber in Los Alamitos. They still had about two hours left before closing, but didn't want to come out. Ok... I can understand that if they are busy. So, they scheduled to be there first thing in the morning. They didn't show up and called about an hour and a half late. When they finally showed up, they took a look at the problem, left, and said they would be back a little bit later. One hour, two hours... nothing. I had to have Johnson Plumbing come out and take a look. They got there on time, gave me a decent price, and repaired it, all within an hour or so. Family Plumbing never came back, and didn't call until many hours after the job was already completed by Joe Johnson Plumbing.
Carlos was a little late for u appointment as he was delayed due to his last repair but Jan from the office called several times so I never felt left out of the loop. My kitchen sink was clogged up and in a very short period of time, Carlos cleared the clog and left my kitchen sink cleaned too. He was very professional and helpful as I know that soon will need a new hot water heater and he discussed the options open to me.
I am a Real Estat Broker and will highly recommend this company to my clients and friends.
These guys were amazing. They were working at my neighbors and I asked if they could fit me into their schedule. They were so kind but had me check with the office to confirm they had availability. Not only did they make it happen, they were quick and clean. Our shower line needed to be snaked and they were able to clear the line and be out of here within a half hour. I would use them again and again.
Suffered from a slow tub drain for quite some time so I eventually caved in and gave them a call. I'm so glad I did since they made it so painless to have it fixed and now it's flowing like Niagara. Jen made it super easy to schedule a date & time for the visit and Aaron was on time, very friendly and professional. He also explained each step of the process, provided a very reasonable quote up front and cleaned up everything afterwards. He even siliconed the drain overflow as a courtesy. Nice! I really like to use family owned businesses whenever possible and their level of courtesy and professionalism made it an easy choice. They will be my first call for future plumbing needs.

I called because my garbage disposal began to leak water from the bottom (Not repairable) late in the afternoon. I called Family Plumber who I have used in the past. The tech (Steve) came out within 1/2 an hour gave me the estimate to the replace the disposal which I agreed to. I'm not a weekend plumber and it would've taken me forever to figure out how to replace. Steve had the disposal replaced within 45 minutes and did some minor adjustments to the drain lines to fit the larger disposal. Very satisfied with the work and would use them again.
I called The Family Plumber at 10:30 AM about a leaky copper pipe going to my garage. Anthony came out at 11 AM and was finished by 11:30 AM. He said that simply re-soldering a bad joint doesn't always work, so he cut out a portion of the pipe. He then saw that the bottom pipe had not even been soldered to the fitting above it. The leak was probably held back for years with the paint that covered it. Anthony slid an adaptor over the pipe and re-soldered everything. Done. Anthony was very friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything to me. The time from my phone call to the repair being done was less than an hour. Very reasonable price too. If all the employees are like Anthony, this is a great company! Very impressed by the work, the speed, the price, and the friendliness. Best plumbing experience I've ever had. Thanks, you guys!
I agree with the other 5-star reviews. Our kitchen drain was partially clogged/running very slow this AM. Tried the do-it-yourself way & gave up after 45-minutes. Called Megan at The Famly Plumber around 12:30PM. they scheduled a plumber to come by between 2-3PM. Ended up that plumber Rick came by at 1:30. Rick did a great job on the clog, fixed a leak in the garbage disposal & changed out the old p-trap and made both sinks flow freely again. Their price was very, very reasonable for the work done. I will keep their number handy for any other plumbing jobs needed at home. I would not hesitate to refer them. Rick's work is professional, excellent & fast. Thanks Rick!!
Paul has been to our home three times. The call today broke the camel's back. We had a clog in the bathroom and because they (Paul and Eddie) had to go on the roof it was $245.00! This is the same company which charged just at $500.00 for a garbage disposal and installation and replacing the flappers in two toilets on the last visit (one of which I had to reattach the chain after it fell off after Paul left). The capper today was they needed electrical access from the garage to run their equipment, I opened the door remotely for them. Paul brought the bill inside the home, I wrote the check and they left. Almost three hours later my daughter arrived and informed me the garage was (left) open. Paul may not have known where the switch is (right by the door itself); however, he certainly should have informed me it was still open. I have no idea of what may have gone missing during these three hours.
Their pricing is at the upper range; workmanship is okay, attention to detail is obviously a shortcoming.
You can do better than this company.

The work I had done by The Family Plumber was satisfactory. Some mistakes were made when estimating the work that was needed. Mike thought I needed to install a drain in the upstairs laundry room. He didn't see the drain under the washing machine. He also thought that the faucet in the kitchen needed to be replaced. There was a switch on the faucet that needed to be turned on. When he completed the camera inspection on my new home he said he would not charge me for the inspection if I completed ANY of the jobs he thought need to be done. His plumbers replaced the water heater, installed a pan under the washing machine, repaired some gas lines in the backyard and removed an old water purifier under the kitchen sink. His secretary left a voicemail that if I didn't pay for the camera inspection it would be turned over to a collection agency. I had discussed this issue with her several times. She told me several times she would take care of it. I always payed immediately for the work they completed. According to his secretary the camera inspection went along with a sewer pipe repair which they had not scheduled. I immediately payed for the camera inspection ($350) and will have any additional work completed by Harry's Rooter and Plumbing.

My tenant called out The Family Plumber for a main line block. The plumber went through a small 2 inch clean out and said he couldn't guarantee the work because it should be a 4 inch clean out. there was a flush 2 plug to which the plumber replaced with a standard 2 plug that stuck up in the middle of a walkway creating a tripping hazard. A few days later the main line backed up again. I called another plumber who assessed the situation and decided it best to clear the main line by accessing it through the vent pipe on the roof. Not ideal, but I appreciate the ability to solve a problem and complete a job professionally.
They always do a great job. I called to have a kitchen sewer line rootered, but they were booked up for a few days, but they called back and said they had a cancellation and would be over early the next morning. Phil, the plumber, fixed the problem in no time flat. Reasonably price job. Good neighborhood plumber if you need one in East Long Beach/Los Alamitos/Seal Beach area.

I highly recommend The family plumber. I called on Tuesday to have a water heater replaced. They came on Wednesday with a new water heater, installed it and took the old one away. The pricing was fair and the work time was quick. The technician, Stewart, was very professional and a pleasure to have working at my home. He had a smile on his face the whole time even though he had to move his truck several times due to limited parking where I live. I will definitely use them again if I have plumbing issues.
I am so disappointed by the service I have obtained from this company. I feel taken advantage of and disrespected. They finished the job in a days time and charged me TRIPLE what any other company would have charged me, ( I've checked many other quote charges).
I have used FP for years, and I will say without any doubt, they are what any person is looking for as far as getting the job done, on time, very fair pricing, and with knowledgeable plumbers. Few weeks back we had a toilet overflow, and they were out same day to stop the water flow. We ended up having water damage, which was fixed, then today a new toilet was installed, and we are back good as new. Josh and Andrew also made the time to change out a new shower fixture.

Our sink was clogged the night before we were to leave on a trip. Left them a message on their website and they called us at 8 the next morning and were able to come and fix it before noon. Aaron was very nice and efficient. He also liked our dog. would highly recommend.
I've used them for everything from cleaning out my Main Line, replacing the main water line to the house and most recently they replaced my water heater. They may not be the cheapest but they are very competitive. Their Service is great they call and remind you of the appointment and they are clean and polite.
I've even used them on an emergency leak. They came out on a Sunday afternoon and was able to fix everything.
I wouldn't hesitate on using them again.

Our bathtub drain was clogged. We first called the smell good plumber, who not only told us that he couldn't fix it but that it was also going to cost $1100 to install new pipes. Family Plumber was our next call. Not only did they work around mine and my husband's horrendous schedules, they even tried to get out to us the same afternoon that we called. I had a great experience with these guys. Our upstairs bathroom toilet flange broke and was leaking water in downstairs bathroom which required a professional to fix. These guys came to our home and fixed it and in reasonable time very professional. I would highly recommend this guys to anyone. We paid $440 to get both toilets fixed up stairs and also reinstalling down stairs .
I've been a homeowner since '83 and Robbie from Family Plumber was the most professional plumber we've ever used. He knew what he was doing and worked fast to clear the main line. I'd highly recommend this company.

My home had undergone a major remodel and addition that the contractor was unable to complete. The rough plumbing was installed but much work was still to be done. After contacting several plumbers who would either not do the work or call back with an estimate, I was referred to the Family Plumber. Mike, the owner, came out and surveyed the work to be done and promptly sent an estimate. I agreed to have them do the work and appointments were made. The work would require several days to complete. Mike, Joss and Jake arrived on time and began working straight away in a very organized and professional manner. Leaks were found and repaired, spa tub was set, finish plumbing with fixtures was done and a new copper main line installed. This just some of the work done. Mike, Joss and Jake are friendly, professional and very conscientious. They listened to my needs and were very accommodating. Communications for appointments and schedule adjustments from the office were great. Overall I would highly recommend The Family Plumber for their professionalism and integrity. They really seem to strive to do the best possible job for their customer, a very satisfying experience for me.

We have used the Family Plumber for both elective upgrades (a whole house pressure control valve and a new water heater) and urgent need (main clog and back up at faucet/sink leak). They are the best. First of all they have a24 hour service and messages are returned first thing in the morning. They are prompt, honest and reasonably priced. We will not use anyone else.
I used Family Plumber twice, once to put a water heater and second time it was a new toilet, both times their pricing was high but what totally blew us thru the roof was they quoted a very small bathroom re-model...reset new tub, toilet and vanity. I furnished everything: tub, vanity, plumbing fixtures, plumbing parts yet their quote was $2725. I don't think so Family Plumber! The job was at the most half that. Unless you want to line the pockets of the owner I'd find another plumber.
Can't say enough of why we thing The Family Plumber is the very best! Yesterday we called 90 minutes before our final walk thru to sell our home because we had a plumbing emergency! Pipe broke under our sink, our floor, cabinets and my husband were covered in water. We called the office and explained our predicament and in no less than ten minutes Mike, the owner knocked our front door. He did the repair and even charged us a very fair price. We have been customers for over 15 years and they have always done amazing work. If your looking for a highly skilled team of talented people---The Family Plumber is always the ones to go with.
These folks are the best! Here is my experience....I have hired many different companies to perform work at our home. I usually find it a stressful experience. I had an emergency plumbing situation and had no choice but to have the main water supply turned off. I asked a neighbor for a recommendation and The Family Plumber came highly recommended on Nextdoor and Yelp. I was not in a situation to shop around so I made the call. I spoke with Vicky to explain my situation and Mike, the President/Found came to assess the situation in under 90 minutes. Mike explained my options and provided options based on price and what made sense. I quickly felt he was not there to take advantage of my dilemma. He provided a quote promptly as promised the next morning and had folks on site the next day so we could have water.
Steven and Brendan spent two long days carefully tearing up my lawn and running copper piping. They could tell I love my plants and took extra care while displacing them. They left me with a clean worksite each day and when they were done they put my grass back and even helped me relocate one of my large palms to a better location. They were always smiling and didn't mind me checking on the progress often. They even created two shut off points in case I have a future need to work on my sprinkler system.
I figured while this was going on I would have the water heater replaced. Anthony did a great job at replacing my heater, added new piping and was able to think out of the box for me. I wanted to move the flame exhaust vent so it would not be in the way of new gutters. He verified the various options in his code book and came up with a perfect solution. Even the gutter folks commented on how secure the bracketing work was done. Anthony noticed I was hoping for a higher water shut off out front so I would not have to bend down too far. He said no problem and promptly welded the copper piping to a higher level for me. The next day I asked about some leaking water at my sprinkler controller. He came by after work to take a look and said the unit was older and the bladder needed some purging. He did a temporary fix for me and ended up coming back a few days later and installed brand new controllers. This time they look much more professional than the last time I had the work done.
I am so happy I found a professional and courteous team for future plumbing needs. They came fully prepared with professional trucks that are easily identifiable and were loaded with all sorts of supplies. The employees are courteous and thoughtful. They treated me and my property with respect. They gave me a time they would arrive and they were there on time. They were not rushing the job near the end of the day. It was crazy hot out and they still had a smile all day long. They must really love what they do. They put in the time and effort to perform outstanding work. I will use them anytime I need plumbing work in the future and highly recommend them based on the quality of work and the level of professionalism. Thank you for doing everything so perfectly!

Our latest job involved the replacement of a sink faucet, and also several angle stops that had to be cut out and soldered after an upgrade.
Plumber Nicolas gave a solid estimate on the job cost, advised me on a replacement fixture, then came back and did the job. It was on budget and on time, good work all around.

Tony, one of the co-owners showed up to fix our tub faucet on Friday. He was professional [and bonus! not smelly.] He quickly did what he said for the price he said. He was able to change out the parts without the hassle-card some plumbers pull [oh I have to order that part'], that cause a repeat visit and repeat charge!
Service just doesn't get better than this. We have used them for years and have never had a bad experience. Friendly, efficient, reasonable and best of all, honest business people. They are on time, do what they say they are going to. I trust them 100% and would never use anybody else.
I've used the Family Plumber several times and our daughter who lives in Long Beach just had a tub drain problem. I called on Wednesday and was told they could not schedule an appointment until Saturday, However, later on that day I got a call that they would be able to come Wednesday and they took care of the problem. I can't say how pleased I've been every time I contacted them. In the future I will always contact them if I require plumbing help.

I loved this company however they sent an unvaccinated plumber to my house.... A doctor's house. I asked if he was vaccinated and he said no, he doesn't need it. I told him to leave my home. please people do your part And as a company you should take great care assuring your personnel are vaccinated. This is not a joke. It is deadly. I don't care if you don't get sick, you can spread this disease. The ignorance is unbelievable. Unfortunately, due to the response from the company I will not use their services any longer.

The Family Plumber exceeded my expectations of quality and professional services. In my opinion,I was treated in the highest standards of honesty and professional integrity. Jennifer, the office representative and Robert the field technician were both very personable and professional helping me to resolve my plumbing issues. As future plumbing demands arise, The Family Plumber will be my first call. My sincere thanks to all at The Family Plumber.
All we can say is FANTASTIC. Our water line from the street broke and the line was under a mess of concrete, walkways, and fruit trees. The guys worked two days and solved the problem replacing the entire run with Type L one inch copper pipe. They replaced the old line and solved two other problems at the same time (making the shut-off easier to get to and replacing a hose bib that was on PVC).
No cussing or fussing... They cleaned up after every days work and marked the holes in the ground for safety purposes. Polite young men (we are in our 70's so most men are young). Robbie (a new employee) and Josh were terrific!
They kept us informed as to where they were in the process. The job was done in two days and cleaned up beautifully... Could not hardly tell that they had been there except the water meter stopped running!
Better than that, the bill came in well under their original estimate (about $2300 instead of an expected $2550).
First class operation! We have used them for years but for nothing this big! We will continue staying with them!

We had a clogged drain in the kitchen sink, and called The Family Plumber. The scheduler on the phone, Jennifer, was courteous and helpful. She was able to give us an appointment the same day I called, and the plumbers, Anthony and Jon, came a few hours later. They were also courteous, clean, and competent. They solved the problem efficiently, and gave me some recommendations on how to avoid the problem in the future. The price was reasonable, and I and my wife strongly recommend them.
I needed a toilet replaced and the first place we contacted quoted us a starting price of $400.00. I decided to call The Family Plumber to see if they could do the job at a lower price since I see their trucks in our neighborhood frequently, and I am so glad that I did. Not only did Robert arrive early (they called first to let me know), he was efficient, explained the problem and finished the job in less time than was quoted - and their price was half of what was quoted from the first place I called. I would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends. We already have more jobs in mind that we'd like for them to work on!

Josh came out to replace a cartridge in my shower valve. I also had him look at a pipe that had fallen off of my garbage disposal. It was put in too short by another company. As a result it fell off and spilled water and garbage under the cabinet and out onto the kitchen floor. Josh not only replaced the pipe but also cleaned up the mess under the sink! Service like this is, indeed, difficult to find. In addition, the amount of the bill was quite fair. The Family Plumber definitely has a new customer!!!
My wheelchair/bed-bound mother-in-law's main sewer line backed up filling her tubs and toilets with sewage. This, of course, happened at 8:30 at night. The plumber she regularly uses (now used) couldn't respond but Rick came out in 30 minutes and cleared the roots from the main line. He earned every cent of what he charged along with our business from this point on. He made what would have been an unbearable night much more agreeable. Thank you!!!
Trustworthy. Professional. Have recommended to friends. Sometimes a delay, but worth the wait. The only plumber I ever call. Especially like Mike and Rick. The Family Plumber has went above and beyond to replace a water heater, that evening, that started leaking as they were leaving my home after another plumbing job. Also, Mike installed a cleanout and made sure examine and document everything carefully so that if there were problems the city could repair the sewer line.

What a great experience! I needed a main water line replaced so I talked to Jennifer in the office. She dispatched someone out to give me a quote. I had a quote emailed to me. I called Jennifer back the same day and scheduled the service which she said they could do the very next day. Aaron and Andrew showed up to do the work. They were super nice and clean in completing the work the same day. I will absolutely use this company again. All the employees I dealt with were professional, super nice and had great communication with the repair going on.

These guys came over and capped a couple water lines that would be cemented over. So to prevent a leak in a spot that could no longer accessed the job had to be done absolutely right. What was weird is that 2 plumbers came. They were nice enough and did the original job well and courteously. What I realized later was one guy was more of a salesman. He started offering other services. Just be sure to get multiple estimates from licensed plumbers.
We needed a new faucet installed and a dishwasher hooked up. Had a fantastic experience with the Family Plumber. The dispatcher was really friendly and the technicians were just as nice. Came to do my job in less than 2 days. Customer for life. Thank you

I called on Fri night and left a message saying it wasn't an emergency tonight but I really need it fixed Sat. They called me first thing Sat morning and by noon the drains where open. Paul called to tell me when he was leaving the job before mine so we knew when to expect him. He was very polite honest and friendly. The price was better then the phone quote and if I ever need a plumber in the future The Family Plumber will be the one I trust.
Another fantastic job by the family plumber. I had to get a new garbage disposal installed They gave me a fair price and within a couple of days, Ray came out and did the service Ray was on time, professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone needing plumbing and service repairs. Thanks guys!! That goes for Jen as well taking my order.

I requested a quote directly through Yelp to replace our garbage disposal. Mike immediately messaged me with a reasonable and competitive quote. I scheduled an appointment via phone. Vicky and Jen were extremely friendly and courteous on the phone. They even called me for reminders and time changes before Phil arrived. Phil was professional and cordial from the outset. He didn't hesitate to answer any questions I had throughout the course of the job. He finished in a timely manner, was careful about keeping everything orderly, and triple-checked to see if all the components were working properly. We are beyond satisfied with the job. Called to make appointment on a Monday. I was able to book an appointment for noon on the same day. They actually were able to come earlier than planned which was welcomed. They were very professional and efficient. Don't be afraid to call them as their price were reasonable. They were pleasant to deal with and explained the price after their initial diagnosis. Overall, I would call them again instead of trying to diy. Thanks Family Plumber.
I see the Family Plumber truck in Rossmoor all the time and so I thought I would call them. It was such a positive experience. I do not know if it was because we got RAY or if all the plumbers are wonderful, professional, and good at their job. Ray went over and above. He diagnosed the problem (needed a new toilet) came back to install and when we had gotten a broken toilet (our bad) he came back again right away even though it was close to Thanksgiving.

They installed a recirculation pump several years ago. Found out about a year later we didn't really need it as our Tankless was plenty adequate. Family Plumber told me it wasn't. $1,200.00 later!! Today, 3/3/21, our plumbing co (who is doing our repipe) walked us through why we are having the hot/hot water problem at our kitchen sink. Family plumber didn't install recirculation pump correctly. Jeezus, they claim to be a Christian company. Guess selling unnecessary items to customers doesn't affect their abilty to differentiate good from bad or matter when it comes to truth & transparency.? Such a shame a Christian entity would take advantage of new home owners. Humanity, smh.

These guys are the best, wish I had met them years ago. Replaced a hot water heater, came back a second time to snake out some drains and replace outside faucets. Always on time and professional, you can't do better if you need plumbing repair.
I called at 8:30 am to have someone come out and Carlos showed up a few hours later to fix a problem with my sewer line. After he finished, he asked if I needed help with anything else. I let him know my garbage disposal was not working. He looked at it and found it just needed to be reset and did so without charging me for it! He answered all my questions pertaining to what's next if I continue to have issues with my sewer line. This is my second time using them and Im Very happy with their services!

Tony, the owner, came out on Saturday which was great. He came fast and was very friendly, and charged a fair price. Highly recommended.

I selected this plumber b/c they had great ratings on Yelp. I'm happy to report they lived up to their great ratings. They replaced a faucet, I had a issue, they came back and took care of it quickly, and they are very friendly and honest
Another place I forgot to review after a couple of services. Major pipe issues fixed a couple years back, this year we called up for a hot water heater replacement AM appointment- showed up on time, two guys in and out with no mess left and we have a hot water heater that doesn't whistle and hum from an ailing thermocouple (google that word) it a long word for something I can't repair. For the Los Al, Long Beach area I am not sure why you would choose anyone else?

This was an AWESOME experience. Robbie was our technician and arrived early (don't worry- we were notified in advance). He was efficient yet personable. He was quick to provide options (as well as the reasons for each). He made sure to leave the space looking better than what it was. Overall we were so satisfied that we plan on using them again for some kitchen sink maintenance.
Great customer service. Received a reminder call the day before my appointment and was even given the option for an earlier appointment since they had a cancellation. The service technician was very knowledgeable and honest. Not only was the price fair, he saved me a lot of money by recommending other options. I will definitely use this company again. The technician also mentioned that they are paid hourly and not on commission so they don't try and up-sell customers.

Good plumber that showed up in 2 hours, cleaned the main line and charged a fair price. I was able to get a quote in advance did not get any high pressure sales to do additional work. I will call them next year when my main line gets clogged.

Nicholas was amazing. His attention to detail and thoroughness when changing out our bathroom faucets was appreciated. He was very friendly and shared the status of his work throughout the job. I would HIGHLY recommend The Family Plumber for all of your plumbing needs!!!!

I had a leak from a valve I tried replacing under a sink and I couldn't think of what else I could do except call a plumber. And I needed one quick because the water had to be kept shut off for the whole house to keep water from spurting out of the leak.
OK, it was a bit of luck that Mike was just getting off another assignment early but he showed up literally 5 minutes after I had hung up the phone. He quickly assessed the problem and made an estimate for $200 for an hour's worth of work -- which I thought was a good deal although I had suspicions I had messed up a pipe deep inside the wall and would need extra work.
Well, he delivered -- less than an hour and $199. And he was right -- nothing was wrong inside the wall so no additional work needed. That was about the best conclusion I could imagine having to what I thought was going get really hairy really fast.

Mike and Vicky are great. All the reviews are true. They make appointments, keep them and deliver. Service was great and I'm very pleased with the results. Their expertise with the homes in Rossmoor is something that not all plumbers know so that definitely helps. I hope to never have a plumbing problem again!
