Steve is AWESOME! I called him and he was at my condo within less than an hour with a clear plan to get the job done. It took a great deal of ingenuity on his part because he had to figure out how to turn the water off to the condo. He did such an EXCELLENT job that he'll be coming back later in the week to install a new water heater. Wish I could give 100 stars. BRAVO!

I called Steve based on the very positive reviews here and I want to add to them. I called and left a message for Steve and he called back as promptly as he could. I explained the situation and he was here the very next day. He made an adjustment that, truthfully, most people would have probably known to try before calling a plumber. But not me. :-\ He also explained things as he was checking out the problem. He was here no more than 15 minutes and I assumed I owed him something. But he said, No charge. I let him know that next time I need a plumber he'll be the first person I call!

Steve is fast, efficient, and very honest and fairly priced. He called me back immediately and came out within an hour to fix my shower leak, same day. He even ended up charging me less than what he quoted me over the phone, and fixed another small issue with the valve in my guest bathroom. So I basically got a 2-for-1! We would love to use Steve's plumbing as 2 friends gave rave reviews. I thought it very strange when I spoke with Steve directly once on the phone and he asked me to leave my contact information on his answering machine and he would get back to us. I did that and when he did not respond I called and left contact information 2 more times asking him to let me know if he was unable to do my plumbing job as I would understand. When I got no answers after 4 inquiries I looked on YELP and found that at least 2 others had had the same mysterious experience. Courtesy call back that he was too busy would have been thoughtful.

Our sink was leaking so I called Steve. He walked us through a couple things to check and ended up solving our problem without even coming out. He could have just given us an appointment and charged us for a service call for a simple issue, but instead, he helped us to fix a simple problem without taking advantage. This guy is amazing. Steve got us out of a jam 3 times now. We Live in an old house with old pipes that is prone to problems. Each time he made time in his busy schedule for us. He is very nice and knowledgable. He will take the time to explain exactly what is going on with your pipes and give you recommendations. If it is a type of work he doesn't do (like replace the main sewer line) he will give you a good recommendation. From now on Steve is the first plumber we will turn to, though we probably won't need to for a long time now.

The 5-star rating is totally deserved. I called Steve at around 8am this morning for a drain clearing (roots between my house and the sewer main). He came slightly earlier than he committed to (called first, as promised), and finished the job quickly and with a great attitude. And, the price was more than fair. My only complaint is that he only does service - no new work or remodels, because he is exactly the kind of guy you'd want to work with on a remodel. 100% recommended for any servicing needs

I had Steve come out to clear a backed up kitchen sink. Called him as soon as I realized my efforts with a snake had been futile. He made it out within 2 hours of my call (on a Saturday) and had the blockage cleared in no time. Quick service and fair prices. I originally called Diablo Rooter. Kevin was book and he suggested I call his son Steve. I called Steve and he came by within 3 hours. He was very friendly and told me what he was doing. I had two clogged sinks one in the Kitchen and the other in the bathroom. Let me add that I called another plumber with Great reviews. The other plumber quoted me to do the work per sink! I said wow! Never mind. Steve did both my sinks and saved me a lot of money ! I will always call Steve from now on and would recommend him to anyone of my friends!

Had a plumber come out to try and fix a stoppage in our main line this morning and he was unable to clear it. I found Steve through the recommendation of his Dad (another professional plumber) and called Steve to see if he could come out. He called me back in a short amount of time letting me know he could be at my house in 15-20 minutes. He showed up when he said he would, cleared the stoppage (which was caused by roots in the pipe), and was super reasonable with his pricing - on top of being a really nice guy. I highly recommend Steve!

Excellent work from Steve. He did a bunch of misc. stuff for us, including:

- lowering too-high sink drain
- connecting new vanity/sink and installing faucet
- replacing old tub faucet & drain & shower head/arm
- replacing toilet parts
- installing bidet

Steve is fast, clean, and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

He's a cool guy too and very responsive and flexible. We will definitely call him again for any future plumbing work.

Another very satisfied customer. Called Steve based upon Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. We had a blocked kitchen sink which led to broken drain lines and he showed up at 9:30 in the morning and replaced the broken drain and strainer basket and also the faucet cartridge. He then took a look at all the bathrooms and replaced the insides of one cistern while giving recommendations on the other toilets.
Very professional, skilled and great dry sense of humor. Even talked with our warranty insurance company which saved me about $100. Will definitely have him on my list of reliable responsible workers. Reasonably priced too. Highly recommend.

Steve answered my call in the early morning and showed up at my front door in less than an hour.
He is polite and professional. Our laundry room, kitchen, and bathroom pipes were all clogging. He definitely should be your first call! Getting conflicting information from different plumber companies Steve new what was wrong with our water heater just by a conversation on the phone. He suggested calling the company and having them send us the part because he thought it should still be under warranty and it was! If I had listened to other person they would of replaced the whole water heater! He literally saved us hundreds of dollars and we are super grateful for it. I HIGHLY recommend him!

We used Steve once before about a year ago so when we had a recent plumbing issue, I reached out to Steve to handle this. When he didn't return my call after 3 days, I called him again and spoke to him. He asked if I would text my address to him and he would call me within a few days when he can be there. I immediately texted him and after 2 weeks passing by called him and left him a message about my disappointment about his complete lack of attention. Of course, once again he never called back. This is extremely disappointing.

We needed plumbing services for a leaking kitchen faucet and called Steve's Plumbing. They were very professional on the telephone and offered a reasonable price of $39.95 to come out to our Mililani home for an estimate. Alex A. came out to our home at the specified appointment time and was very respectful of our property and provided a lot of information regarding the job at hand as well as other general plumbing issues. Steve's Plumbing dispatcher called to notify us prior to dispatching the plumber and sent an e-mail with a picture and bio of Alex prior to him arriving at our home. That was a great security touch.
We were pleased with the services provided by Alex and his friendly and knowledgeable manner. Prices maybe higher than other plumbing companies but the service was very good and professional. Thank you Alex.

What a guy - I called Steve in an emergency. We were having a dishwasher installed and there was a problem with piping. I called Kevin at Diablo Plumbing first because he has so many good reviews and ratings on Yelp. But he was booked and referred me to his son, Steven. The acorn doesn't fall far from the tree.

I needed a cartridge replaced on my single-handle shower faucet. Simple enough, but I couldn't manage to get the old cartridge out. Steven was prompt, super friendly, professional and did the job while showing me tips and tricks so that I can do it myself next time.

I think I have found my plumber of choice.

We woke up to a plumbing problem this Morning - a Saturday. Our go-to plumber (Stefano's) was pretty booked up and referred us to Steve. Had a backed up main drain in our eichler. Another company came out earlier in the day and wasn't able to complete the job because they didn't feel confident in getting past the roots without using a hydro jet which would have cost $1k. Steve came and cleared out within an hour with a snake. He ran the line about 5 times to get through the mass of roots, 80ft to the city sewer line. Bonus: found out my wife has been flushing wipes down the drain, showed her the evidence and corrected that. The clear out will last a few years (hope) before the roots take hold again. will call Steve again if we need another clearing.

I gave a call to Steve due to my main line being backed up. He quoted me several prices on the phone. It all depended on where he had to unclog the line from, either from the clean out, the vent on the roof or removing the toilet and snaking from there. Each option was increasingly more work and more in price, but all very reasonably priced in my opinion.

What stood out to me was that my clean out line was angled away from the blockage, yet, Steve still attempted the cheaper method. Even after it took him many attempts, he continued until he finally got it. I feel like he could have easily gone for the vent option, which would have cost me more.

On top of fixing my clogged line, I asked him about a couple leaky spigots. He took a quick look and fixed them for me with no charge since it was such a simple fix.

Steve was very knowledgable and answered all my questions. Called to give me an update on time and the best part... he is honest. Unfortunately, honesty can be tough to find these days.

My disposal started leaking so I was desperate to find someone quickly. I called Steve and he picked up right away. He came in the next morning and quickly replaced the disposal, took a look at a few other plumbing issues in our house and everything was done! Nice guy, but we also had a problem where he completely dropped the ball more than once. After one visit, and one message on our phone, Steve has completely gone incognito, apparently not interested in our business. My phone call has not been returned. He seems busy, so maybe would benefit from hiring someone to manage his schedule as a way to make sure his business doesn't suffer from horrible customer service.

Steve's da man! I called him based on the Yelp reviews here, they were 100% correct. I called and left a msg on a Saturday morning. He called right back and came over shortly after. He quickly diagnosed the problem (roots clogging drainage to street), cleaned it out in 30 minutes and cleaned up after himself. The price was very reasonable at $120.

This is an annual rite for us, we will call Steve again.

Steve is as honest and reliable as they come. He came to the house 3-4 years ago and fixed the problem. This time the problem required a much longer cable which he did not have. He explained the problem to me and refer me to the proper people to do the job.
If I need plumbing services in the future, I would not hesitate one second to call Steve. It is always nice when you find a trustworthy guy.

I was referred to Steve by his Dad, Kevin, owner of Diablo Rooter, who performed excellent plumbing services while I rented a San Ramon home. Like Kevin, Steve is an honest, skilled, knowledgeable, and reliable plumber who was prompt, professional, and performed all work at my residence with top quality and at reasonable prices. I needed Steve to take out all outdated brass shower and tub fixtures and replace with stainless steel. I purchased the fixtures not realizing I needed cartridge for one bathroom. Steve did all he could in the one visit and then returned with my needed piece and finished the updating work. Steve did not charge me extra for having to return a 2nd visit. Steve also inspected/adjusted water heater to energy efficiency levels and solved the problem with one bathroom taking so long to turn from cold water to hot.I will definitely use Steve again and recommend Steve without hesitation.

I'm fortunate enough to be serviced by Steve's Plumbing again when 1st American Home Warranty let us down.

When I called Steve we were without a kitchen sink 4 days. 1st American scheduled a contractor but we had wait another 3 days. I had to wait 48 hrs to make to call
back on the status or request another contractor (1st American never called back 4-8 hrs with a replacement)

Steve called back next day since I called late Tuesday afternoon and immediately apologized for the late response and scheduled me the next day.

He even called me that morning for an earlier appointment! Service was fast efficient and friendly just as he was in the past at my old house. He explained why it happened and what he did.

Needless to say I'll call Steve again when it's time to have the mainline serviced again.

Steve went AWOL on me leaving me without a shower in the guest bathroom. Completely unprofessional Three weeks ago, I made an appointment and he came to my home to assess the leak. He took apart the faucet and handles and removed the on/off mechanism. It was unusual and not obvious what brand for replacement. He then departed and went to General Plumbing to try to find a match. Came back and told me they would not match it, so he'd depart and send photos to all the plumbing distributors he works with for a match. Said he'd get back to me in a week. Three weeks later and after 7 phone calls, I have yet to hear from him. It is amazing to me how this happened given his past reputation and stellar reviews. So, now I have company coming this week without a shower working in the guest bathroom. Not a happy camper!!!

I'm getting the feeling he is no longer in business. Steve used to do all our plumbing work, and was extremely reliable until recently.

After a phone conversation, he asked us to text him our address. No response after that. A couple months went buy, called him a couple more times and sent text messages but got no response whatsoever.

Awesome guy and great plumber -- I can't say enough about Steve's Plumbing! There's a reason why he's got consistent solid 5-star reviews. I had a shower handle leak at my rental and called Steve. First, he always picks up the phone, even while on vacation! I arranged to have him check the leak after he got back from vacation. Steve was accommodating to my tenant's work schedule, showed up when he said he would, and resolved the leak in less than 5 minutes. If another plumbing issue comes up, Steve will be the first person I call.

I called Steve to clear a toilet that was backing up with something from below Middle Earth. He was at my house within the hour because he had another customer cancel. He removed the toilet and cleared the old iron pipe and everything was fine. The price was most reasonable. Steve was courteous, professional, and explained the problem clearly. I will definitely call him back if I need a plumber again!

I never write yelp reviews but Steve was so great! I was panicking about a clog/drainage in my toilet and called him at 7:30am to leave a voicemail. I figured since it was so early that I wouldn't hear back for a while but he called me back within 5 minutes. He gave me a very helpful consult over the phone and a quota that I thought was extremely fair. He swung by less than an hour later and before knocking on my door, had spoken to a maintenance guy from my apartment complex and told me that it was a sewer issue in my complex and not just my toilet. Since the complex was already going to be handling this, Steve essentially drove to my place for nothing! I offered to compensate him for his time/drive but he declined this.

I've always been apprehensive about calling anyone for home maintenance services because I know nothing about these kind of things, but Steve was incredible. Quick to respond, knowledgeable (over the phone consult he actually mentioned that it might be a sewer issue but I just wasn't sure myself), and overall, a really nice guy. I hope nothing ever happens to my toilet but if it did, I would totally call him again!

This review is long overdue. I have availed of Steve's Plumbing services for more than 6 times now, from minor jobs to major ones. And not once have I been disappointed with his work. Like most reviews here, Steven was recommended to me by his father from Diablo Rooters. And all I can say is he is truly a professional. He comes on time, does exactly what he says, very upfront in what he can and cannot do, and charges a very reasonable price. He is also very friendly and courteous. I have recommended Steven to 2 of my neighbors already and they practically have the same opinions about him. I would say he is my go-to plumber. Mario and Luigi got nothing on him (get it?).

Based on Yelp reviews I called Steve's cousin Stephano, but he was busy and recommended Steve. After quickly checking Steve's great reviews, I called him. I was not disappointed.

I had a blocked sewer line and wanted it unblocked ASAP. Steve was in the middle of another job, but told me that he thought he'd be able to fit me in as his next job. Within a couple hours of calling him, everything was taken care of and I had gotten some thoughtful and helpful advice on my options for dealing with this sewer line which seems to pug up every couple of years, all for a modest price.

I haven't met him in person (he was fine doing everything by phone), but he is helpful, knows what he's talking about, is pleasant to talk to and his charges are reasonable. I haven't actually been home to check that everything works, but I'm confident that it does and, if not, I know Steve will make it right.

I won't hesitate to call him for other plumbing work.

Highly recommend Steve. I've been meaning to write this review for several years during which time Steve has helped me out a number of times with respect to blockages in my old and creaky lateral sewer line. He was always prompt, personable and very reasonable. Now that the lateral has been replaced, I happily don't see Steve as much anymore, but should another plumbing issue arise, he will be the first one I call.

Let me start by saying I have used a couple plumbing services in the past - over priced and forgettable service. This time I tried contacting Diablo Rooter based on their 5-star rating and extensive reviews. The owner was busy, but recommended that I call his son, Steve, here at Steve's Plumbing. Honestly, I was a little hesitant since he has limited reviews, but I called anyway and sure am glad I did.

This is how my experience went: it was an after hours call and I could tell Steve was quite busy, but he said he would make some time for me and come to my place as soon as he could that evening. Over the phone he said my issue sounded pretty simple and estimated a very reasonable price especially considering the time of day and short notice. He made good on his word and arrived in less than an hour. And don't let the unmarked van and dirty work clothes fool you. Steve may be a hands-on owner/operator, but he is a very friendly yet professional guy who knows what customer service means. He took care of my issue quickly while giving me tips on how to limit/prevent it from happening in the future. On top of that, he only charged me about 2/3 of the original estimate since the time spent was minimal! Needless to say, Steve will be my go-to guy for future plumbing needs and I will happily refer him to friends and family. Thanks Steve!!
