I called at 8am on a Saturday morning after our water heater had gone out Friday night, and Anthony was at my house by 9:15am and promptly installed a great water heater for a reasonable price.  I would highly recommend them.

After 17 years our water heater finally stopped heating water.  It was a Thursday night and I called Anthony on Friday morning.  He answered the phone right away and got back to me with very fair pricing within 10 minutes.  We had it installed later that afternoon.  Anthony did a fantastic job, the installation was done expertly.  All of the piping/plumbing looks much better than the previous installation.  I would definitely recommend Anthony/Providence to anyone who needs a repair or new water heater.

Outstanding service.  Anthony is extremely professional, efficient and quick to respond.  Several months ago, my water heater broke.  I called Anthony and within hours he was at my house working on the problem.  He gave me some options as to how we could address the problem, and once I gave him my decision, he got to work.  He finished within a few hours and left the area where the water heater is at my house looking better than how it was before Anthony installed the new water heater.
Now I have a more energy efficient water heater, the area looks super clean and he actually improved the safety of the system by attaching a copper pipe to the unit so the water flows outside, rather than inside the house, in case the water heater busts in the future.  My wife and I are very pleased with Anthony's work.  We highly recommend Providence Water Heaters to anyone who wants to fix or upgrade their water heater by someone who is professional, clean, timely and cost effective.

I wanted to support local small businesses during the coronavirus shelter-in-place, but as the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for - my 17 year old water heater started leaking. I called Anthony on a Monday, and he answered right away and gave me a quote on an American Standard water heater with 12 year warranty. I comparison shopped and called him back Wednesday afternoon, and we settled on a price. He came out on Thursday, and in a little over an hour had replaced my water heater, with new water flex lines, new water shut-off valve, new flex gas line, and new pressure relief valve and copper pipe (to connect to the existing pipe in the garage). Anthony was knowledgeable and explained how the American Standard water heaters that he carried had more reliable pilot lights; and thus he gets fewer call backs on this brand. Anyhow, I thought he was professional, on time, worked efficiently, and did a good job. I highly recommend him if you need a new water heater.

Anthony and his crew at Providence Water Heaters installed a tankless water heater for me about 6 months ago, to replace our old hot water tank that was inefficient and leaking.  They showed up on time, worked through an issue that came up, and had the tankless unit up and running by the afternoon.  They did an excellent A+ installation using high quality copper connectors designed to last and it looks very nice and tidy.  The plumbing is setup for easy maintenance connections.  

They returned a couple of times to add an accessory and adjust the drain connection.  I had already paid for the job, and they still returned in a timely manner, arrived on-time, and completed the work in less than an hour, and it was good work.  They also made minimal cuts into the drywall, which were easy to patch.  This is EXCELLENT Customer Service.  

The overall job was very well done and Anthony is great at communicating and customer service.  I highly recommend them.

We appreciated his professionalism and willingness to help even though he didn't install it. Our 10 year old Rheem water heater ceased heating water one evening. After messing around for an hour I took a (cold) shower and went to bed. At 9am the next morning I explained the symptoms online to Providence. Anthony called back in 30 minutes, asked me a few more questions, diagnosed the probable cause: a broken thermocouple, and said he would be by in the evening. He arrived as promised and fixed the problem within half an hour.
He is a pleasant person who also answered my related questions about water heaters. I highly recommend this company.

Great company to work with! I emailed Anthony on a Saturday with a dead water heater issue in our rental condo in Walnut Creek. He called back that day. Seriously?? Who works on Saturdays except small businesses that focus on customers.

He replaced the water heater on Monday morning at 8:00. He offered to replace it Sunday but hinted that he preferred to get a better quality water heater Monday first thing instead of the crappy big box store brands that would be available to him.

My renter was super cool and within 90 minutes or so Monday of arriving, he had it replaced with a very good quality unit with new earthquake straps, new gas lines, new water lines, and all pressure relief lines run beautifully. I can't say enough of how good the finished job looks. Great job Anthony-keep up the great customer service!

I called Anthony for a consultation on a radiant heating system. Anthony gave me a lot of information about the pros and cons of radiant heat, the work involved, cost, and the installation process. Best repair experience I've ever had. When my ten year old tankless water heater stopped working late at night, I called four companies early in the morning.  Anthony was the most responsive and only company that offered to fit us in the same day, which was late at the end of his day . He was so knowledgeable, direct and helpful.  He quickly identified the issue and worked late to get us a replacement part and restore our hot water that evening.  

Anthony discussed a couple different options and made the process simple with great customer service, professionalism, industry knowledge, and superior pricing. We had issues with our water heater and Anthony was quick to respond in 10mins after sending him a message on yelp. He came by and temporarily fixed it but he recommended we change it soon due to to it being around 11years old.

About 3-4weeks later we could feel the water was not as warm while taking a shower and raising the temp on the water heater didnt help. He was right about changing it soon so we called him to replace the water heater before it blows up. He made sure in not cutting corners and he replaced also the switches, parts of the pipes, and vent. He did a great job, keep it clean, and made sure all was good. My new water heater was installed incorrectly when I called Providence for help. Antony came to my house in less than an hour of our conversation and immediately identified that the new heater will not work for me. He connected the old heater, fixed the issue and gave me a complete consultation on what I can do going forward, what my options are and what each of them could cost me. This review is much delayed. I meant to write this right after my experience, which was in February. Anthony was very responsive to an emergency situation and I was so lucky to have found him.

The water heater at my rental in Moraga flooded out the garage and my tenant called me in a panic when she went downstairs in the morning. I didn't know what to do so I just started calling water heater repair services in the area, going through the list on Yelp. No one was available on such short notice, even though their ads suggested they could handle emergencies.  I was desperate so just kept calling. Finally I reached Anthony and he made arrangements so that he could get over to Moraga within a few hours. I met him there and he was able to diagnose the issue and replace the water heater right then. The water heater was much older than I remembered, so this was definitely the only way to go. He also explained that the overflow wasn't properly installed previously which made the mess so much more than it needed to be. He fixed that as well. I was so relieved that he was able to take care of the problem and get water back on within just a few hours.

Anthony and his partner just installed a new water heater in our condo in Walnut Creek. They did  a fast and very professional job with it. We had four contractors in front of them and each  informed us how hard it will be to do the job. Some even came to get started but finally quitted. No so with the Providence guys. Minimum questions, everything to the point, quick price negotiations (gave us extremely competitive rates!!), 3 hours work and voila - the new heater is there and lsirs nice and tidy heating the water.

Anthony did a great job for our 2 condos as my neighbor upstairs had a leaky  hot water  heater. Gave us each a separate estimate based on our needs and accommodated our time frame for installation. My elderly neighbor was surprised at how fast it got installed. Hopefully we will have many years past the warranty period to enjoy our water heaters. I called Anthony to give an estimate on replacing an eternal tankless water heater. Anthony was very knowledgeable and honest regarding the issues I would have with the installation. After such a good experience with Providence Water Heaters, it compelled me to write my first Yelp review.

I originally contacted Anthony about a pilot light that kept going out on our water heater.  From the first conversation, Anthony inspired confidence and trust.  He explained what was happening, which was a pinhole leak in the tank which started rusting.

I've heard nightmares of water heaters flooding the house, so I asked Anthony for a quote to replace our tank.  I was curious about tankless and Anthony walked me through all of the benefits of a tankless water heater.  I really appreciate his patience answering my many questions.  I never felt pressured and believe Anthony wanted to help us find the best option for our needs and budget.

We decided to go with a tankless water heater.  The installation experience was fantastic.  When draining the water out of the old tank, Anthony showed us the dirty water with chunks of rust coming out.  It was reassuring to see proof of the rust issue on our old tank and know I'm working with an honest, reputable company.  Anthony takes pride in his work and it really shows in the final installation.  

Before leaving, Anthony took care to leave the area clean, haul away all of the garbage and our old tank.  He also walked us through how everything works and thoroughly tested the new water heater.

Fantastic service! My water heater kind of exploded yesterday, and my neighbor recommended providence. I called them, and they were at my house within 30 minutes with an estimate, and had someone there to install the replacement heater within another 30 minutes. He was done within an hour or so. The whole problem was fixed within 3 hours of the water heater dying. They were professional, efficient and reasonably priced, and the tank and parts have 6 year warranty; labor a 1 year warranty. Definitely recommend them!

I've now worked with Anthony twice on two different properties. Each time, his response time was almost immediate. I would reach out and he would be at my house ASAP.

I can't say enough good things. Not only is he a pleasure to work with, but he's so knowledgeable and tells my why he's doing something a certain way. Great experience with Providence.  They did a significant job for us: relocating a tankless heater that another contractor had incompetently installed, and replacing a lot of underfloor piping.  Anthony was very responsive and knows his stuff.  When we noticed a couple of minor glitches after the job, he was quick to fix them.  Strongly recommend.

After years going for the lowest costs, i have grown to appreciate companies like Providence who provide value.

Changing from gas to electical water heating can be complicated. However, they walked us though the electrical improvements and, most importantly, the rebates: He did all the paper work.

Yes, it was more up front but you will find out that with the rebates, the cost was the same as gas.  
Now, zero gas bill!

You will be pleased with the service during, before and after the work.

Anthony is amazing. My water heater burst this morning. Not only did he pick up the phone at 7am, but he was able to get there by noon. He offered several options, all of which were very reasonably priced. Very professional and helpful, I would recommend him to everyone in the area!

Installed tankless water heater and hydronic heating system.  Excellent, fast, professional.

I replaced our 30 year old tanked water heater with a new instant water heater.  Unfortunately the unit was functioning intermittently.  As it was within 1 year manufacturer's warranty, I reached out to the plumber who installed it.  The original plumber who installed my instant water heater got bought out by another outfit and they said they wouldn't work on the unit.  Bummer.

I reached out to Providence Water Heaters as they were listed as one of the manufacturer's certified installer in our area.  Anthony communicated with me promptly and stated that they can send out a tech to review the condition to see whether a warranty would cover it.  I sent him some installed pictures and serial numbers.  Based on this, he thought that it was a known issue which will most likely get covered.  He did also point out a couple of issues by the previous installer and provided a quote.  I declined and he was very professional in accepting the decision and allowing the warranty repair to proceed without any added work.

Additionally the tech discovered another issue that was generating excessive noise.  They followed up with another warranty call and returned to replace the defective part once it was available.

We were out of town for a week and when we got home we didn't have hot water. After attempting to troubleshoot and get our water heater going without success I gave Anthony a call. Our 23 year old water heater worked fine, but I wanted to get something new and more energy efficient. Anthony was the first person I spoke to who was able to intelligently walk me through the latest tankless technology, and asked for pictures over the phone to confirm our set-up. When I discussed my concern about added noise of the unit, he had me visit a working unit which quickly allayed my concerns. After a holiday weekend, and one half-day install later, we were up a running and feeling pretty high tech with a mobile-app enabled unit. Our Navien unit is awesome, but since our home recirculation needs are unique (two teens, summertime, crazy schedule), I had lots of questions. I highly recommend Providence Water Heaters! Long story short: my water heater tank was leaking, needed to be replaced, but was in a super inaccessible area (climb over a 3.5 ft. concrete wall in the basement, squeeze through a tiny square hole in the structural support beams, duck under the HVAC system, and there is the water tank, stuck in the corner).  I had multiple companies come out to do assessments, give estimates, etc., and I am really happy I found and chose Providence. Anthony was very calm and respectful, was able to provide an accurate estimate from photos I sent, and stood by the estimate provided with no surprise or additional costs. He is super knowledgeable about the products and I felt very comfortable with him. He installed a Navien Tankless water heater and was even able/willing to cut up the old tank so we could remove it! He pretty much had to do all this while sitting on the ledge, since there is not even enough head space to stand up. NOT easy! Anyways, I am very impressed with the high level of workmanship and customer service. They arrived on time, got right to work, left the area looking cleaner than it was when they arrived, and took time to explain all the components of the heater to me. Super friendly, quick service with professional install. Install happened same day and I was offered options on manufacturer and warranty and pricing compared well against multiple other suppliers. This is a professional, friendly and clean operation.
