I was so impressed with the information and service that I received from this company. My old water heater started leaking the night that PG&E was scheduled to shut off our power as part of the proactive power shut down in Bay Area - just to add insult to injury from expecting no power, we didn't have hot water. I contacted this company with 4 others on yelp. I got a call from the owner the next morning and he explained everything I needed to know about switching out to a tankless heater. He moved up the service call from the afternoon to morning. The crew of 3 plumbers assessed my home and how much it would cost to switch out my old tank for a tankless system. We decided to switch out to a larger water tank. The cool thing was that they had both options available, were able to install it the same day, gave me a great estimate, professional and efficient removal/install of the new tank, and hot water within 45 min! This was the best plumbing experience I've ever had. I'll call them again for any plumbing needs for my 60+ year old home! Highly recommend them!

Quick same day response. On 1/10/2023, lots of rain hit California Bay Area and we had water building up around our backyard drains. The water was getting really close to our patio door. With more rain coming we needed to get the drain fixed. Plumbing guys came out on same day, 1/10/2023, with the hydro jet and unclogged the drain. 1/11/2023, more rain has fallen and I don't see any water building up around our drains so far. Thanks!

I need help with toilet, bathtub and kitchen clog... called this guys and replied quickly... in 30mins. They are in the front door... my guy Meno checked everything and started working... he doesn't waste anytime and solved the problem... i highly recommend this guys.

I want to express my complete satisfaction with the work that was done at my rental property. The main waterline had sprung a leak and needed to be replaced.  The job was not only completed in a timely manner for my tenant but the professionalism and dedication to a job well done is to be commented. The project was completed in less time than originally thought, they worked with me to adjust the original bid, and they left the duplex extremely clean! There is nothing better than having a project come in on time and under budget!  But it is not only the workers dedication to a job well done that I wish to commend but the owner YaYa! His company has done work for me in the past to clean out the sewer line at this property and it was always done quickly and the property left in a very clean condition after the job was completed.  His rates were extremely reasonable also! But this job well that is a lot more work and The Plumbing Guys came through once again performing excellent work, in a timely manner and at an excellent and very fair price!  As a small business owner myself it is always nice to be able to find a company that truly is dedicated to top quality work and honest in their business dealings!  The Plumbing Guys is defiantly all that and more!

I had a leak from my bathtub into the apartment downstairs.
I first called them to take a look and they found the overflow was not sealed properly. They fixed it and tested and could not get any leaking to happen again. I was informed to keep an eye on it and to call back if there was any more trouble.  Of course about a week later we had trouble again. I call the Plumbing Guys back and they sent some one out with in hours. Manuel my savior found the problem and worked until 9 pm to fix it that day and he also managed to spare the Red Fir board wall.

I called them because I needed a second opinion for my water heater. One plumbing company told me that I would need to replace my water heater but when John came in, it literally took him less than 5 minutes to figure out what was wrong, fixed it, and didn't even charge me for it. I just needed the thermostat turned on!!!

We had a clogged and leaking pipe underneath our bathtub, and Meno helped fixed both of these issues within the span of 1.5 hours, complete in great professionalism, and his soldering work was very clean and neatly done as well.
I would definitely recommend this company to any customers in the future!

When no other plumber replied to my messages, and wanted to charge me $70 just to inspect the repair, the Plumbing Guys responded right away, and were at my house in 20 minutes - no inspection fee - and finished the job an hour after they came out.

We made an appointment with them and their plumber never came to the appointed time. We tried to get another appointment and they keep saying they will get back to us for a time and date, but they never did. They wasted our time

These guys have come to my rescue twice. Once to repipe (replaced galvanized with copper pipe) my shower and laundry room area and the second time was just the other day to correct a bent pipe. They were efficient and relatively clean given the nature of the work.

Our coop apartment building in Berkeley  had a clogged sewer plumbing emergency on Sunday, 6/2, and four apartments had grey water coming up through the tub and shower.  Two other companies we tried to reach were not open on Sunday. Christian, from Plumbing Guys responded quickly, within an hour on my call.  He drained the backed up water, and found the clog. He let me know there would be an extra charge for the camera inspection, which I agreed to. After examining the line with a camera, and found the break in the pipe. He also cleaned up the basement where the waste water had landed, so that there was no lingering problem with standing grey water. Bravo and Thanks!

Our ancient sprinkler system started gushing water at about 7:00 p.m. last Wednesday. We called the Plumbing Guys and Christian came right over and worked in our yard well past dark to get it fixed. Really appreciate the speedy service and thorough job. I hope I don't need to call them again, but definitely will if another emergency arises.

The toilet overflowed while I was on a first date at someone's house and I was so embarrassed. I didn't think any plumbers were open during the shutdown and I knew the situation would've been so much worse if it weren't for Plumbing Guys. They responded so fast and we're able to take care of the toilet repair in no time!!

We had issues with our hot water supply and I reached out the Plumbing Guys and they said they would be out first thing in the morning, fine. But since one of there guys was on his way home from another job and was done for the day he (Meno) decided to drive by and have a look. Meno was great, he listened to me explain what was going on and then he made the plan for the next day. He told exactly what he was going to do and if I wanted to go pick out a new faucet he would install it for me. The next day Meno was right on time he worked calmly but efficiently. None of this work as fast he can and do a shoddy job stuff. He got everything done in a little over an hour including installing my new Kitchen faucet! Was helped by Meño or Manuel. Excellent job and excellent worker. Came by and diagnosed the issue on short notice and completed the same day. Ended up staying late, dedicated to completing.

Called the Plumbing Guys after Star Plumbing insisted on digging into the ground for a large price.
Manuel and the Plumbing Guys quickly came up with a solution that did not include digging and $200 cheaper than what Star Plumbing offered.  Very happy with the service. Manuel needs a promotion, or at least a raise!

He fixed the problem, main line back up, cleaned up the mess from the back up and visually inspected the main line for roots. Called These guys to check out my leaky pipe in the basement and they came out super quick and were super knowledgeable would definitely recommend to to anyone looking for a plumber. They did a perfect job and really saved the day.

Had an emergency plumbing situation.  Called 3 other companies and no one can't come right away.  Called the Plumbing guys, Manuel answered and respond right away to fix the issue.  He is very knowledgeable and very polite.  He even cleaned our drainage.  Will highly recommend Plumbing Guys and Manuel.

If he can remember the date & time to show up, Ignacio will get the job done on day one only.  But, if him or his brother, Enrique or any one of his employees does a poor job requiring follow up repair - you might as well forget it. Despite the fact that he says he will stand by his work and repair any errors...he will not.  I've called him 6 times and although he promises I'll call my guys, they'll be there in one hour was his mantra - that hour never came.  His guys replaced an overflow regulator in my upstairs tub since it was leaking through the ceiling downstairs.  A couple months later, mold developed on my ceiling, and again, the hour promise.  He never showed.  Instead, they went to Mexico and forgot about the promise to fix their mistake.  I told him about this in February, and 4 calls later, as of now, he has not done anything about it. What a shame....

Had a leaky Shower faucet. Gustavuu showed up within a half hour with a co worker.they were able to remove the old cartridge and replace it with a new one.Job took about an hour. Good job guys!

I had a slow drain at The Doolittle in Castro Valley. Manuel came out at the time I was given and took care of my issue quickly. I appreciate the customer service Plumbing Guys provided.

Definitely was disappointed with today's service! Sent me the wrong individual to do a men job and on top of that really bad attitude! Totally disrespectful thinking that he is talking to his family or a friend! He forgot that I called for service that I have dealt with them for the pass 5 months and that I already know the problem and the only thing I needed him to do was to unplug my sewer! It's always the same thing. He said that why we don't fix the problem that we needed to change the pipes so he didn't have to be coming all the time. I mean dude I'm paying you for the Job you be doing! If I wanted the pipes change I would had asked you to do so. I told him that we know the problem and that we are not changing the pipes so I only wanted him to unplug the toilets like the regular guy Gustavo does every time he would come. Then he said ok I'll charge you $450.00 when I usually pay $200.00 then  I said you know what never mind! You lost a customer because of unprofessional individuals who think they can get away with their attitude and corruption methods. Never again.

Very prompt. They replaced my toilet and took away my old one at a very reasonable price.

The manager/ I guess the owner is a vibrant conscientious respectful young man. His phone manners and his attitude of respect towards the client is a blessing.

We had a water leak under the kitchen sink today and needed an urgent fix. We called Plumbing Guys in the morning and they were able to come within 1.5 hour. Meno was the technician guy and he was able to fix it quickly and thoroughly. I also showed him the hose leak in the backyard and he fixed it for us as well. He gave a competitive quote for the job and we were satisfied with his service.

It all started out great, then turned bad quickly. Ignacio gave a good quote - a few hundred less than others. Then they did not show up on the day expected. When they did arrive they collected a $300 deposit for a $2700 job. After a week with only two half days of work being done, the job was not complete at which time they realized they did not and could not get permits in San Francisco. They promised to return my deposit as I was forced to hire another plumber on short notice to remove the plastic pipe (not code compliant in SF). It's been months, many calls and text. Still no refund. I will update if I ever see my deposit back. Always promises never kept. STAY AWAY. Not worth the hassle.

I attempted fixing a leak at the main waterline, but failed miserably. It was 5pm on a Saturday.  Was fortunate to have these guys come by 15 minutes before the time promised. He got the job done professionally.  Life is back to normal by 8.  Highly recommend them.

We had two completely clogged shower drain pipes that an earlier general contractor could not fix.  They came at night on short notice and fixed both of them.  They did a great job.

Got a nice quick response to quote the work during the holidays, so that was appreciated.  5 stars for the work, 1 star for scheduling.

Scheduled work for 8:30am start.  Workers where assigned another job.  Work started at 12:30pm making the restaurant owner waste half is day.

Alberto, came to the rescue! He was there during an emergency, within the hour on a Saturday night. Alberto came and was able to fix it! Leaking upstairs bathroom sink pipe, caused water to seep through kitchen ceiling . I definitely recommend Alberto for his quick response and professionalism.

I needed my water heater replaced on the 4th of July, and there weren't a ton of places that were able to come by same day.  But Ignacio and Wally did, and they were great. They showed up fast, were knowledgeable, and replaced the water heater without much difficulty. They also installed a Bradford and White water heater, which based on what I've read online is superior in quality to those that are available through Home Depot or Lowes (I guess BW will only sell through plumbers/contractors to ensure that their product is properly installed).  I live in an old San Francisco home, and was increasing the size of the water heater from what previously was installed, so the installation was not a simple one, but they handled it without much trouble. The price was also inline with what Home Depot and Lowe's previously quoted me.  Overall, I was very satisfied with the service.

I didn't expect to get a same-day appointment anymore since half the day was gone, but I did! The Plumbing Guys confirmed my appointment in just 2 minutes, arrived at the very top of their estimated window--quickly diagnosed the problem, and got to work right away. And they're really nice!

They turned a bad day into a good one, highly recommend.

SCAM! We got ripped off pretty bad !!!! They came saw the toilet that was flooded.They charged 600$$$ for  running a snake and by the next morning it was still clogged I recieved a bill for 250 for the camera and inspection which was highly over priced that was the second time they came...almost 2.000$  to dig  a hole in the backyard because there is roots that get in the way of pipe.then friend and I rented  a snake machine at  home Depot for 2 hours @60$ rent and ran it ourselfs and alot of shit came out the first two times! And then we did 3d time and it wasn't anything coming out. Which makes us think that they didn't run the snake themselfs or even the camera ! Because it's been almost a year and toilet works fine after my friend an I snaked it  just once after them!!!!! And they wanted to dig a hole In backyard for 2000$. Wow

P.s they also took the brand new little snake that goes on the drill which I got from home Depot for around 100$ the day before they came it was in backyard and after they left only the box from it was left. I contacted them about it and never got a response.

Toilet started leaking and so I requested quotes.  Plumbing guys responded first and got the business.  Unfortunately the toilet they installed on the first try had factory defects which were a bit of a nightmare, however Plumbing guys stayed with it until they were sure it was right.  Their six month warranty also gives piece of mind which is much appreciated.  Thanks Plumbing Guys!

Ignacio and his partner replaced a leaky host bibb in backyard. They had to remove an existing pressure fit bibb and soldered a modern adapter. Prompt and excellent service. Very reasonable price.  Would recommend their service to anyone anytime.

CAREFUL: LONG STORY

My house smells like Gas after u worked on my water heater.

So they sent one of their technicians over and he gets to looking at my 10 year old water heater which needs a new Thermocoupler. I had two people give me a diagnosis for this (one of them being PG&E, who tested the electrical and found the thermocoupler to be weak). So the Plumbing Guys tech goes through diagnostics and first thing he tries doing is reigniting the heater since it has had an issue staying lit.
Tell me why this man is sitting here for five minutes acting like the igniter is broken, since he seemed so adamant that it's broken, I ask him if they can replace that too. He tells me it's connected to the whole assembly and to replace it, it would cost almost as much as a whole water heater and that I should just buy a water heater instead.
I told the man that PG&E just ignited it and he's not pressing it hard enough. So he keeps pretending to push the button like it's broken.
I told him to let me try it and it turns out he's not pushing it down all the way. At the bottom of the push, u have to push it past where the friction point is.

10/14/20 I've been waiting to write this review, i had it saved as a draft for these guys to redeem themselves but Long story short, they changed the thermocoupler and after a week of not being sure if I'm smelling a faint hint of gas , I began getting MIGRAINE headaches and losing all my energy. I realize there's a leak because when I go outside, my headache was gone and when I came back home it started again. That's when I started getting really worried it was leaking because I've never experienced headaches this bad in my life.
The technician came to fix the Thermocoupler but ended up leaving with it not screwed in properly and it caused a leak. I wanted to give these guys a better review but they didn't offer a refund or anything besides coming back to fix their mistake. At this point the damage was done and my head has been hurting ever since.
Who ever decides to use these people, make sure u document what they do and get your invoice. These guys tried to leave with out even giving me a receipt.

My 13 years old water heater was leaking. I called so many plumbing companies, and all of them only offered us one option: replace the water heater.  They didn't even come to inspect the leaks or try to fix them. Only Ignacio in Plumbing Guys came to our house to inspect the leaks, and tried to first fix the leaks instead of replacing the water heater to help us reduce the cost. Weeks later the leaks happened again, then Ignacio and his partner helped us replace the water heater, and only charged us the payment delta between replacing the water heater and fixing the leaks. Ignacio and his partner also worked with the city inspector to fulfill their requirements and eventually got us a permit.  The price we paid for the whole work is less than the price any of the plumbing companies we called asked for. Ignacio even provided us lifetime labor warranty at no cost! Very pleasant experience working with Ignacio. I will definitely recommend Plumbing Guys and Ignacio to my friends and family and any one who needs plumbing services!

I highly recommend Plumbing Guys to do all plumbing works, they are knowledgeable, honest, reliable, acting fast with the most reasonable price. I recently had to rerouted my sewer line and the owner Wally went above and beyond to satisfied all our needs.  The work and inspections were done in a timely manner and now I have new pipe and have no more water backup issues. All staffs that works with Wally are super nice and friendly, they listen and make good recommendations on all appropriate works and they would understand your budget and Your need and try to eliminate all unnecessary work. As you know all other plumber would like to rip off your wallet by telling you what unnecessary work to be done. This is not the case for the crews with Wally. The outcome was great, Wally ensure my landscaping and sprinkler systems work nice and perfect, although the look will not be 100% like prior to the construction but I am happy with the outcome and all the good customer service Wally offered to me.

Manny took care of my clogged drain in no time at all... we can take a shower again without water pooling up in the tub... definitely will call them back for plumbing issues!... fast clean and efficient

Clogged sink on a Friday.  Called our Alameda plumbers who said they could come next week.  Googled plumbers and found Plumbing Guys in Hayward.  They came i under 2 hours and on time.  John was professional and competent.  Sink back in business YAY.   Great, fast and competent service.  Thanks Plumbing Guys.

Plumbimg guys added supply lines, drain lines, and vents for a new laundry room. They did beautiful reasonably priced work. They took the time to talk over my options and how it would look in the house. They also made some additions to bring us up to code- a cleanout under the house and strapped our water heater in place. They used a tarp to protect our floors and did the best job of cleaning up after that any contractor has done for me ever. So happy with the work they did!!

Super fast, super clean and super work!  My old water heater went kaput this morning, and, of course, being the guy that I am I thought I can diagnose and fix the problem...well, I couldn't!

These guys really know plumbing!  I live in an old building and I was noticing the water in my bathtub was draining slowly, then not draining, then filling up (without my running water!)  It turned out the water was collecting in my tub from the apartments above me on the second floor and the clog was in the T shape connection between my apartment and the adjacent neighbor's next door.

Ignacio was extremely patient and explained everything in detail to me.  He told me that snaking the drain would likely not work, but since I was impatient and really wanted to shower he snaked it anyway.  It of course didn't work, but he went out of his way to work with my landlord to resolve everything while I was at work the following day.  

When I got home my shower was perfect and what could have been a real nightmare was resolved due to the plumbings guys expertise and diligence in getting the job done!

Plus they are affordable!

The owner was quick to respond to our call. He sent one of his plumbers to our place. Manuel or Emanuel was on time to fix a leakage on our water pipes to the main sprinkler system. He did a great job and replaced the main pipes. He also waited to make sure that the pipes had no further leakage before he finished the job. We would definitely recommend the Plumbing Guys!
