returned call and came by within the hour at 9pm. honest and fair price. Found the exact problem of the toilet being stuck not the drain, and charged only a little more than half original quote. Will definitely use their service again.
Had major issue with shower , call Another Plummer who never showed up after waiting 3 hours, Got Google ref of PLUMBING for LESS and call them and they answered the phone 2nd Ring , I explain to him what was going on with the shower and had a Plumbing Tech at my house in 25 minutes. They diagnosed and repaired in one hour. Does not get any better than that highly recommend Plummer for Less

Rasheed was at our house to help us with our water heater less than an hour after we spoke on the phone. He took a look, saw what we needed, and was upfront and reasonable with an estimate of the cost. He was able to restore hot water for our family that day. Great customer service and expertise. Called the number, and within two hours, Rasheed's colleague Gabe was here at our house in Berkeley to check out the problem and to give an estimate. What I thought was a big issue turned out to be a small glitch. He was quick, attentive, careful, figured it out the problem without cutting the drywall -- what I thought was going to be necessary. No estimate, no big intevention, just some advice. Charged 125 for the trip and his time, which came like a huge relief. He was friendly and professional -- I saved their number.

I called Rasheed and he answered his phone quickly and gave me a quote from pictures via text as I needed shut off valves replaced for my washing machine. He was at my house and my problem was fixed within just a few hours. He came ready with parts and was super nice! I will definitely be calling him in the future!
Rashid and Gabe did a great job for us tonight in their quick response to our problem, Gabe's great job unclogging our sink/garbage disposal and their very reasonable price to fix it. Our sink started to spit water back at us when we tried to run the disposal, the plunger didn't help and everything was a mess. We called just after dinner, Rashid promised that Gabe would come between 8 and 8:30 but he arrived a little after 7 and was done before 8. He identified the problem, cleaned out the pipes and made sure that everything was working properly before he left. We would recommend them anytime

Rasheed and his assistant were incredible. We had a sink emergency on a Friday night at 7pm - after hours. He rushed right over and took care of a challenging job with a great perspective, wonderful demeanor, and cleaned up after the mess. These guys did a good job the first time I called, so I referred them to a friend with a large job at his home. In the past two weeks I have called them 3 times, and no answer or return call. No good deed goes unpunished. I found a prompt, reasonable-priced plumber in Gladiator Plumbing 510-351-6700.
Rasheed helped us to replace and install the kitchen faucet and garbage disposal. Everything looks great, and there's a 30 day warranty. Awesome service that's also affordable. Highly recommended!
Rasheed is a very reasonable and stand-up guy. My wife called about snaking two of our toilets. Our son decided to use them both (within about 3 hours of each other) as a trash depot. So, a poo-pourri bottle went into one and a toothbrush went into the other. He was able to snake one and get the toothbrush out. He unfortunately had to pull the second toilet to get the bottle out. He was quick about both and was honest about the whole thing. I work in the trades so I could tell he knew what he was talking about and was honest up front about what might be necessary. The price was fair and he is a very friendly guy. Wouldn't hesitate to call him again!

My shower was backing up at 08:00 with sicking unknown stuff! Ugh. Took me two hours to find a plumber on Sunday. Finally Rasheed and his staff came to my rescue. $195 later, all is better.
Excellent customer service , very professional work and fairly reasonable prices . Thats sums it all up for Rasheed and his team . He took care of my in warranty water heater replacement with LOWES in Union city by un installing the faulty one,swapping it with a new one at the store and then re installing it at my residence in El Cerrito , all in a matter of few hours even skipping his lunch !!. Can not ask for more . Pls do not waste looking around . He is The Right Man you would need for plumbing !!!.

Friendly honest man. He put in a new garbage disposal and fixed some kitchen sink pipes. His work is very good and his price is very fair. Spectacular service. Hard to think of that as a description of a plumber but in this case it is true. Our sink/garbage disposal clogged up after dinner. Using the plunger didn't have any effect, running the disposal just spit water and rice shreds at us. We called at a little before 7pm and Rashid assured us that Gabe would come tonight between 8 and 8:30 but he got here about 7:15 and was done before 8. The pipes underneath the sink were filled with rice, looked like much more than just tonight's takeout but no matter. Gabe took it all apart, cleaned everything out, and made sure the water flowed cleanly. This was all done for a very reasonable price. We would recommend Plumbing for Less, Rashid, and Gabe for their good work and great service.

I called Rasheed of Plumbing For Less because the old pipe under the kitchen sink developed a hole--on Labor Day weekend. He was my fourth call and the only one to pick up the phone.
His colleague Gabe came over the same day, had the part in his car, and fixed it expertly in record time. All that, and the price was very reasonable.
I highly recommend Plumbing for Less and he will be my FIRST call for any plumbing need in the future.

Rasheed just left our house after taking a fire-hose full of kitchen garbage in the face while repairing a clogged pipe in the basement- all w/ a smile on his face. (Well, he acted like he was smiling - he wore a mask the whole time he was here.) The man is a plumbing warrior!
He identified and fixed our problem quickly and efficiently. It's the second time he's helped us and we are most grateful. Highly recommend him.

Rasheed is my new go to guy! He was polite and was accommodating, unlike other plumbing companies who are snobbish and unprofessional over the phone. One thing I like is he was busy the day I inquired about issues about my boiler, but he was able to drive by later that day and check on what's wrong. My boiler needed to have the pressure regulating valve replaced so it was something I want to be taken cared off as soon as possible. Other plumbing company told me they can come by a few days later or the week after. The price was reasonable, he replaced the PRV, soldered pipe connections, and my boiler issues were fixed that same day. Don't usually write reviews but Rasheed with his professionalism and quality service deserved one.
Rasheed is a hard working honest guy. He came over on time and got our clog dealt with in an efficient and no-nonsense fashion. He also charged us a fair price. The job was very complicated and involved getting into our basement to snake the pipe down there directly instead of going through the tub. He was able to explain every step and the shower works again. Super happy to have found him.
It's so hard to find a good plumber. I'm so glad my friend recommended Rasheed to me. I had a hot water heater issue and unfortunately needed replacement. He replaced it the next day and for far less than the plumbers I hired previously. He's a great find and is such a professional. I highly recommend him. You won't go wrong.

Rashid (Plumbing for Less) is the absolute real deal. I feel incredibly lucky to have found an honest, reliable plumber. I am a new apartment building owner and one of the bathtubs had a broken faucet. Rashid came to inspect the item, replaced both the faucet and the shower head. The job was done quickly and efficiently. Rashid is so professional. He knows exactly what he is doing and as someone else commented, he is a very sweet and kind person. I could not recommend him more highly.
Rasheed from Plumbing for Less did a fantastic job when he came over to fix the leak on my Dishwasher drain pipe and water intake pipe. He also fixed the kitchen faucet and bathroom faucets. His pricing was super reasonable. First we were planning to go with Lalo's plumbing and their quote was $1100 including the parts. Rasheed gave a quote of $340 and i bought the parts which cost around $160. So overall that was much much cheaper than Lalo's pricing. Work quality was superb. It has been 2 weeks and no leaks or issues.
Rasheed definitely requires a mention about his mild mannered demeanor. A very friendly guy. So next time before you try finding a plumber give Rasheed a chance. You will surely like him and his work.
Rasheed and I played phone tag couple times in the afternoon and finally talked at 6:30pm. He offered to come that night and said he would be at my house in 1 hour to 1 hr and 15 mins. He was at my house in 45 mins, took a look at my two issues, had the parts, gave me a reasonable quote for parts and labor and was done and out the door 40 mins later. I think he'll be my go to guy for plumbing needs in the future.
I can't say enough good things about Plumbing For Less. I have used their service several times since 2008 and have been really impressed with them. The owner, Rasheed, is very involved in the business and always gives me a good explanation of the problem and a reasonable quote for addressing it. They don't try to upsell me -- in fact, they have often advised me that I could wait and address a problem at a later time when I see fit -- I truly appreciate that. They are very friendly and attentive to detail and prompt in terms of showing up for appointments. If they are running late because a prior job is taking longer than expected, they will call and give you a new ETA. Their prices are fair. They may not be the lowest cost option, but I am more than satisfied with the quality of their work and feel I'm paying a fair price for the value they deliver. I have recommended their services to my network of family and friends and they have all been very happy with the work.
I will entertain no fear to recommend Plumbing for Less to anyone that need plumbing job. The house I moved into six months ago had several plumbing problems in the kitchen and two bathrooms. My wife called three different plumbers to work on them without success and just when we gave up hope on these, we were introduced to plumbing for less and the problems were solved in no time, saving us a huge some of money.
During the period they worked in our house, they conducted themselves professionally and were also time conscious. I tell you what! We got the most reasonable estimate from them.

I selected Rasheed (Plumbing for Less) based on the strength of his Yelp reviews. The five star reviews are deserved. He responds promptly to inquiries, and was able to come out for faucet installations the next day. He is efficient and friendly and was masked throughout the process. His prices are reasonable and I am pleased with the quality of his work. He also cleans up the work area when he's done. I will rehire Rasheed when I have more projects.

We were in dire need of finding a plumber that could locate and fix a leak we were experiencing under our kitchen. After researching many plumbing companies I came across Plumbers for Less. Because of the many 5 star reviews and the fact that this company was out of Oakland and that Google guarantees their work if you go thru their process (which i didn't utilize), I decided to call and immediately connected with Rasheed (the person whose name was within all the reviews on Yelp). He came out, same day within the time he slotted for us. Evaluated the situation, as well as a few other plumbing concerns I had, gave me a fair estimate for each issue addressed and solved all of our concerns, which also included installing a new kitchen faucet set, replacing the on/off valve (which required quite a bit of sautering), snaking our bathroom drain and replacing washers, all within about 3 hours. Rasheed was wonderful to work with and so positive..you can tell he loves his work! We are so happy that now we have a go to person for any future plumbing needs AND we feel good about supporting a Oakland, self employed business. Thanks Rasheed...now if we can find a good handyman service and HVAC company we will be set.

We have used Rasheed and Plumber For Less several times and have been completely satisfied. He has accurately diagnosed a challenging problem with our kitchen sink not draining and in addition has fixed our clogged drain in the bathroom and replaced a faucet. He is effecient, accurate and friendly and also comes out at least by the following day. None of these issues were emergencies, so that worked out well for us.
I called Rasheed of Plumbing For Less because our toilet wouldn't stop running. I called him on a Friday evening thinking he wouldn't be able to come out until at least Monday. He told me he would be over in about an hour.
He quickly diagnosed the problem and had the part in his car. He was quick and his rates were reasonable. I highly recommend him and will use him again for our plumbing needs.

Rasheed fixed our bathroom plumbing issue in very efficient manner. He is very friendly and economical. From now on, I will be happy to call him for our future needs.
Once I like someone, I have the tendency of taking their help and sticking with them for very long time. In other words, he will be our Family Plumber on the lines of Family Doctor.

I had a problem with my shower continuously running water and a leakage from the bathtub, the first two plumbers who came to check it overpriced me, and not only that, but was also paid for their estimates. The major reason i tried a third plumber was because my friend referred me to Plumbing For Less, and told me his estimates are free. He arrived on the day of the appointment, gave me the estimate and his price beat the other two guys. Off course i smiled and told him to begin the job.

A fence contractor broke a water pipe at my house and I had no water for two days. Rasheed showed up on very short notice, assessed the situation, and gave me two options for fixing the problem. He fixed the pipe, replaced the soil that he had to dig out to get to the pipe, and cleaned up at the job site when he was finished. The price was very reasonable and the work was what I expect from a professional. He also gave me an extended period guarantee on his work. You can be sure I will be using him for all my plumbing needs in the future!
Rasheed is the best. He installed a new water heater at a very reasonable rate. He is proficient and professional at all levels. He even replaced a corroded pipe with a copper one at no extra charge. I recommend him highly and without reservation. I will be contacting him for future plumbing needs.
