My heater went out last Thursday, Cole came out the same day for inspection, ordered the parts and had it repaired by the weekend.

Explained what the issue was and provided a couple different affordable solutions.

This company installed a AC/Heater in our garage yesterday and did a fantastic job and the unit looks and works great at start-up. The team was courteous and efficient and hard working. They cared about details and kept us informed of the process and progress every step of the way. And, of course, there's Matt. He was with us from start to finish - from giving us a bid to overseeing the work and to staying after to make sure we were happy with the job.  HG is worth giving a call for your home needs.

Amazing, clean, friendly staff. Can't recommend anyone else for HVAC needs, don't bother with anyone else!

Just wrapped up a really great experience with HGHS.  We had just replaced all our bathroom countertops, sinks, and faucets so we needed to have the new sinks and faucets installed.  Being the unhandyman that I am, I reached out to a few services on Yelp to get some estimates.  HGHS was the first to respond and they were able to get a technician out the following day.  Our technician, Cole, came out to help assess our plumbing project and our needs.  He is very friendly, professional, and courteous (always proactively wore the shoe covers inside our home - we never had to ask him to do so).  When the day of the install came , Cole started the work but he realized that we were missing an important part for the faucets (refer to the unhandyman comment earlier) so we had to order them and wait a few days until they arrived.  Cole proceeded to complete as much work as he could that day and was patient in waiting for the parts to arrive.  Once the parts arrived, HGHS came out the very next morning to finish the job.  Both Cole and Andrew came in the morning and finished installing the faucets and connected the plumbing.  They did a fantastic job!  

Special shout out to Cole for providing a professional and trustworthy experience.  Also, a nice thank you to Corinne for all her prompt and kind communication to inform us of the latest updates regarding scheduling and project updates in general.

I will definitely be calling them first for any additional home services that the boss wants to have done.  I'd highly recommend them to any family, friends, or unhandy people (like myself) who need quality work to be done in a professional, respectful, non-pushy/used car sales type, and cost effective manner.

Cole came out to our home and gave my wife and I a lot of time and answered all of our questions about our AC. Cole was able to give us absolutely excellent and superb service. He is extremely knowledgeable and is an ultra pro at his work. You can just tell when someone really knows his craft, he is one of those people. Like a lot of people, we need more work done on our home and Cole told us that they do more than just AC and are capable of doing anything because they are General Contractors. Super quick to respond. I needed my ac unit fixed asap and I was able to get a hold of HG Home Services at 9pm after hours. They were able to come out within 30mins and diagnose my unit. It turned out i needed a complete replacement of my unit and Matt was able to get us a great deal and add the service fee from the night he came out to the new equipment he applied it to our new unit. I also really appreciate that he helped us identify the right unit for our needs without unnecessary upsells.

Hands down the most professional HVAC company I have ever dealt with. From the home you call to moment they arrive on site it is a great experience. The customer service is the way all companies should be.

We just moved in to our home, and on one of the hottest days i've ever experienced in the OC, our Air decided to go out. As luck would have it, we had just received a mailer from HG Home Services, so being new to the area, we gave it a shot. We called at about 1:45pm on a Tuesday, and were immediately impressed when the service tech arrived by 3:30pm. I don't speak air conditioning language, so i was very happy that the on site Tech and Manager, Bobby, broke everythig down, in terms i could understand. Bobby and (sorry, can remember the service tech's name) did not pressure me to do any upgrades, service plans, etc, so that right there would have made them an amazing company. Bobby explained that the problem would be a  relatively inexpensive cost, at around $200.00'including labor. That was such a huge relief as the dollar signs were already flashing in my head! within two hours, the repair job was done, everything was cleaned up, and we had our AC back up and running, and it feels like it might even be running a little better than before they came out.

These guys have warned my business for life, and ive already referred several friends in the area

We use HG Home Services for all our water heater and HVAC needs. We recently had Cole and Jose out to service our HVAC system. They are both always a pleasure to deal with and we know the job will be done professionally and in a timely manner. Can't recommend using this company enough.

I had a new quattz countertop and sevr r al cabinets gixed, and I love the result. Andrew was a joy to work with, and the work that was done is perfect.  Use this company!

Super fast response. My house air conditioning broke in the middle of the heat wave. HG was able to send a tech out the next day and it was fixed and maintenances and working better and colder than before. Learned that we should be servicing it regularly. The three things I appreciated most about HG Home Services after their work on our new heating/cooling system are as follows: 1. Professional in every aspect from how they worked, how they spoke to one another, and how they solved any issues that arose during the job; 2. Reliable as they were always there when they said they would be and kept working; 3. Great Communication from the techs to admin to any subcontractor they needed. This is a wonderful company whose employees seem to genuinely like what they do and value one another. Installation went well and I appreciate all the follow-up interactions to make sure everything is running smoothly.

Our HVAC system started leaking on a Wednesday night. Thursday morning, Cole came out and assessed everything. Although all the news was bad news, Cole was able to deliver it in a way that made us hopeful for what he could help us out with. We ended up needing to replace the HVAC system because it was a dinosaur. Cole got a manager out here the same day and got us pricing for many different options based on what we asked for. He also answered our MANY questions and made the whole process as easy as possible. Everything was replaced and running again by Friday evening as they made us a priority. We even got the water heater replaced with them as they were so amazing with their service.

From beginning to end, the whole process was seamless. I was tempted but decided against my better judgement to consult with Dr Google and diagnose the problem myself, I decided to turn to Yelp.  I actually requested a quote from another company and Yelp helped to populate the request with other competing businesses in the area.  Corinne responded within mins with a number to text. I'm primarily an email or text-er but post-COVID, I've lost all sense of social cues so texting is my preferred method of communication.

Long story short, I reached out at 10 mins till 7 and she had technician, Andrew, at my door at 8:58am. Incredibly sweet and knowledgeable guy. Was able to diagnose and fix the problem within 30 mins.

I am so thankful to the team for providing my cold blooded self with some heat tonight. I will 100% return with my business and you should too.

Joshua from HG home services just left my condo and I am extremely satisfied and happy with the service that I was provided. Josh was honest pleasant efficient. From the start I bid out this job on yelp and I just got a bunch of responses telling me to call them and all I wanted to know is what services were included and how much it cost and HG home services got right back to me And gave me a quote and told me what it was for what the services were and everything was very straightforward. I feel like they were very fair and honest and open from the very beginning and I was very happy with the work that Joshua did and if he's representing this company I will be using them for other services in my HOA.  I will be suggesting and referring HG home services to other people that I know in the future also I'm glad that there's still are some businesses out there that are honest and efficient and just don't have any hidden costs associated. Very happy customer thank you.  Oh about the work yes Josh came over and did a thorough inspection of my system checked fluid levels based on pressure I believe, checked out the condenser and check the filter which needed to replaced.  He showed me I had a good 4 inch filter in there and he went and got me a replacement and did it went above and beyond and I feel like the price was more than fair and I would definitely do it again.

Great job at a reasonable price. We had a problem with our air conditioner which turned out to be an electrical problem with the furnace. We ultimately needed to get the whole thing switched out. They let us choose from a range of furnace and a/c units at different prices points and with different features. That helped us make a decision about what we wanted based on cost and options. They also fixed a related electrical problem and helped us get a common wire (C wire) out to the front living room so that we can now connect a new thermostat. Guys were very clean and respectful of the house.

We ultimately decided on a medium grade system for about 10k, everything included. Guys will come out again in 6 mos to see if it's working the way it should, but so far, we feel like we got lucky with an honest company and a good unit at a good price. The new unit is much cleaner and quieter with good filters. Air inside the house feels cleaner. Will go back to them should our water heater give out.

This company deserves five stars review. I hired them to come out and fix the issue with my HVAC unit at my retail shop. My HVAC unit is less than a year and half new. The unit originally was replaced by the landlord. The technician, Kurt was so sincere and understood the issue could be simply resolved by the manufacturer warranty since the unit is still under warranty so he decided not to charge me for anything and let the manufacturer  fix it for me.
I truly appreciate Kurt for his honesty and not charging me for parts and labor were it could be handled under the warranty. I highly recommend them to everyone and I would definitely use them in the future for any issue with my house's HVAC unit.

This review is based on initial work in July 2021 and follow up work in April 2022.

Responsiveness (Owner and office personnel)- 5: I was on a time crunch to submit an architectural review for the HOA board to approve. Keith, the business owner arrived the morning after my initial YELP request. I had their quote in ample time for the HOA meeting. Corine is always good about returning calls, emails, providing/updating quotes and schedule updates.

Speed of Service (Workers) - 5: Workers show up on time, on schedule. The only time they took a break is when I treated them to lunch. Apparently, the crew just powers through without eating, or maybe just a protein bar. Can't be healthy, but hey, once you're in the zone, it's easier to get the work done.

Quality of Work - 4: Had it not been for the slight hiccup with the HVAC electronical wire, the HG Team would have had a 5 rating. I had them replace some electrical outlets, install an exhaust for the bathroom, and the HVAC.

Attention to detail - 4: Workers always wear booties when indoors and are conscious of keeping your home clean. The worker today who corrected the electronical wire issue knew to use hand tools while I was on a conference call (the HVAC is right outside my bedroom door). I didn't have to ask him to, he just knew to keep the noise to a minimum.

Cost - 4: Not the cheapest, but you don't want cheap contractors doing a cheap job. You want the greatest value for your money. As a homeowner, you want to be sure that the job is done well so you don't have to think about the improvement for 5, 10, 15 years down the road.

Likeability & entertainment value - 5: HG has a good crew. Cole, Andrew, Joey, and Robert all worked at my condo. Very likeable and understood the work. At the time, it was Joey's 1st or 2nd week on the job. He kept zapping himself switching out the electrical outlets. He learned the hard way (at least four times), which wires not to touch. Was nice seeing Cole mentor Joey. I tried my best not to get in their way, but as a curious individual I did ask several questions, especially for the HVAC so I understood the system and can reasonably explain if I were to sell or rent my Condo in the future.



If you're looking for a discount contractor, look elsewhere. After my July install, I did recommend two of my neighbors. If you're in Seagate Colony HOA in Aliso Viejo, HG knows what our units need. My initial disappointment with the electrical wire was addressed which is why, overall HG deserves high marks.

Our air conditioning was not working during the worst time of the year. It was a long weekend and there was a heat wave.  I called different companies on Friday afternoon but everyone was busy and first available was the following Tuesday.  But when I called this company, Corinne was very helpful and gave me an appointment early next morning for diagnostic and to make sure the supplier was open (since it's a long weekend) to get the parts. Once Cole arrived, he was very knowledgeable and was able to figure out the problem.  All I can say, I will only work with them from now on and recommend them to everyone.

H.G. Home Services fit the profile of the company we wanted to maintain, repair, or replace our HVAC system .
They were quick to respond with an inspection, and advised us that our older unit was using outdated coolant, and not maintaining line pressure for service. It was time for an upgrade, and we agreed.
Our specifics are such that we needed a thin line exterior service due to the narrow walkway required to the back pool area. Our interior platform and cabinet were also in need of upgrade.

Three trucks and three technicians showed up and did a one day removal, replacement, and haul away of our air conditioning service equipment, leaving us with cool air indoors that very evening.

I was a little worried when I saw their detailed black vehicles, with armor-all on the tires; that a change order from the agreed bid was coming, but no, they held the price and did a great job. All personnel were friendly, knowledgeable, and punctual. Great guys, highly recommended!

Needed a replacement AC and furnace system for my house. Cole, Andrew and another technician showed up to do the install. Just from how they worked together it was obvious they were very knowledgeable and familiar with AC and furnace installation. As a bonus the technicians were also very friendly with my curious kids whose asked them a million questions while they were working.

Professional staff with top-shelf unit. Looking forward to this summer with great AC in the house!

Filled out a request online and got a response within a few minutes.  My initial appointment with Cole was set for the next day.  Cole is really knowledgeable about HVAC systems and took his time assessing what was wrong with our motor (in a very hot attic!).  Our second appointment (to replace the motor) was first cancelled and then delayed due to our part not arriving on time.  Once the part was received, Cole was able to come out and fix my AC in a very timely manner.

Wouldn't hesitate to use HG Home Services again in the future.

Honestly, I've had a pretty bad run with HG Home Services.

I hired them for cleaning, but they invoiced me for HVAC Inspection I didn't ask for. Worse still, the invoice mentioned things that weren't even done like exchanging filters - a pretty basic task, right?

They even gave an estimate for servicing a gas furnace, but I don't even have gas pipes! It feels like they didn't take a moment to understand my actual needs or setup.

Checking my AC, I found it full of grime and dirt, same as before, untouched and unhappy.

Technician claimed they can't scrub the fins as it would damage the unit but they could've at the least vacuumed away old leaves or washed away dirt with water. Makes no sense.

Excellent service and great follow up. Their teams are friendly and professional. And they arrive as promised and don't upsell you!

Replaced my entire HVAC system on a 20 year old house.  So far so good.  Probably not the least expensive contractor, but fair....and as my Dad always told me - you typically get what you pay for.  Service (maintenance tune-ups and filter replacements) since installation has been reliable and free, so far.  I think that ends in a year...

A/C HVAC unit did not have power. I did some DYI investigating myself and thought it was the fuse in the HVAC that blew due to me changing the thermostat to a smart updated version. The crew, Robert and Enrique, arrived on time with all smiles. Robert has a great sense of humor and was extremely knowledgeable and efficient. He discovered the problem, gave me a fair quote and fixed it, all in an hour. Great job and I would use them again.

HG came out a few weeks ago to do an AC/heating tune up after I started finding black dust throughout the house (around vents) as well as becoming sick of paying a ridiculously high electricity bill. Andrew, the tech, was able to find the issue and fix both problems in the same day. The girl I spoke to on the phone, Corinne, who initially set up my appointment was sweet enough to also provide me with updates on my technicians whereabouts/arrival times throughout the day so I didn't have to sit around waiting. Talk about customer service!!! 10/10 would recommend for any heating or AC problems!

Cole and Andrew are my heroes! So HG Home Services saved me... so happy with the work and customer service. Both of these two were very great to work with me to get the new furnace in with a 24 hour time frame! That is AMAZING. Not to mention this dynamic duo is just top notch. He came here and saw it and Listened to my story about how it happened after I put on a latch and she broke into it so I got a new door knob with a lock and then she had someone come in and take the hinges off and so they were weak and then one day they just fell off so anyways I needed it to be so that no one could possibly break in so he said simply it needs an entire new door and the door jamb. I said but the doors OK right can't you just get the outer part and he said no they come as one piece...
I didn't know that they all came as one piece but they do...

How many times have I repeated myself already? Ha ha Ha bear with me...

It was really important to me that I'd be able to open and close the door that day... cause Some really stressful stressful times and they're getting worse so...He got here around two on a Saturday but he didn't have his tools but I have a Makita and random bits of screws and pieces of particleboard From the ugly ass office furniture that's falling apart so...Even though he wasn't planning on it he just got creative with me (Marzguyvering i call it )
and used every drop of his elbow grease, more than I have, and he made it happen... (I had done some thing similar before but it was still unhinged on the top and not secure...) he def went out of his way to make it work temporarily, He also wasn't just after money because he said really because this is gonna cost today and the next day and I said no no I really want this now... and I was so stoked
He's a family man he said Sunday is for the kids so he would go to home depot 1st thing Monday and get supplies then . . . Full disclosure we spoke Sunday and I said OK you're coming first thing Monday and he said well now I have to go to Home Depot first so I'll be there a little later so he texted me good morning at 7:30 in the morning!! And I wasn't prepared for that so he waited a little bit longer but then when he got a call for another job he took it... So I told him well next time call cause I would've woken me up but it's OK...

It went way faster than I thought especially after all these other dudes just kind of dicking around! beware people... beware of Reese that comedian duck contractor dude, I'm glad because she witnessed that get the F out he's fired...

It all happened really fast... Called at 7:30 in the morning to check in... so be prepared for that... this time I set my  Home Depot opens and he's there 1st thing got the parts plus 2 other tasks I actually forgot that I even asked him to do but he remembered so I can appreciate that because after these other people that came and filled and didn't listen to anything that was really cool... even got paint he knew was needed and How did he know what color to get to match but he did
I didn't know that he'd need to get paint as well and whatever else to properly do everything... Oh yeah I also had him patch up a kick dent in the other door yes I have a temper... and install a safety bathroom bar not my mom.

Apparently the other people were waiting for me tell them exactly what to get and how to do it, but that's the point! s if I knew what to get I would've gotten it already! I don't have a truck but...right you know what I mean that's why you hire people because They know what you don't know!! Yes I digress but these are good things to learn I've never been a homeowner...

I expected him to be here in the afternoon and it would take hours but he was in around 9 AM and done by about noon and that was that

He was clean and tidy and patient and not a creep at all
And efficient and quick... And he listened to what I said and got all the parts done that we discussed more than I even remembered about...

They showed to give us the estimate on the job, but they are not the right job for them. They show right way as called for service which is very nice of them. The stuff has told us that, they unable to do the job. Which is another good honesty people. Thank you.

Don't do it.  These guys show up in a clean new van all decked out. The problem is that they are incompetent at fixing things and their standards are extremely low. They messed up my job every way it could be messed up. They did eventually finish the job with amateur standards, but only on the fourth time they told me it was done. I should have fired them immediately the first time when it was apparent Cole took no pride in his work and had no idea what he was doing. The owner came out and convinced me to let them finish the job with a more experienced worker. It took 3 more rounds of BS and excuses to get a (barely) acceptable result. I will not be calling them again and I recommend you look elsewhere.

Very flexible with my schedule, the tech was professional and nice.  He also provided me with information on my HVAC units without me asking.

Our air conditioning was not working in July. HG Services was very responsive and repaired everything the very next day. (They would have come same day if we were willing to pay the after hours rate.) We were only charged the minimum service call,because the technician had the unit up and running quickly. All along the way HG Services were very good communicators.

Had a full HVAC overhaul done with them, Cole, Corinne and Joey whom I worked with were a great help and very communicative throughout the whole process.

They aren't a set it and forget it company, they provide support long after the initial job is done to address issues and provide general info.

We had HG install a new air/heating unit in our two Flr house last summer. Experience was awesome...very skilled crew like scientists. Kept everything clean as they took out old and installed new unit.
This early 2023 season I was scheduled for 1st maintenance...the tech was able to redistribute more heat to the first floor which is all windows and colder during the day/night right now. Come spring I'll get the air conditioning redistributed to the 2nd floor.

My real estate company has done multiple projects with HG and all have turned out great! They are very responsive, professional, and provide great great pricing. From small AC and heater repairs to large HVAC replacements and installs, HG has done a great job. They are very responsive, arrive on time, and leave the sites cleaner than when they arrived (which is hard to find). They make maintaining and updating our HVACs a breeze. It's great to have someone we can count on like HG.

Professionalism. Respect. Diligence. Timeliness. These are just some of the words that describe HG Home Services. They installed a furnace and AC system for me in October 2021. They were extremely efficient and also worked with a mold remediation team to safely remove the furnace (which was in a utility closet infested with mold). Their services do not stop after that. I had an issue with the furnace not working with all of the rain we have been having in Southern California and they came out the Sunday after Christmas Day to fix it. We had guests at the time through AirBnB and they were expeditious in solving the problem and likely saved me a bad review! This is a family-owned, family-run, local business so I feel good about recommending them to anybody looking for HVAC services. Their prices are also beyond reasonable for the services you will receive.

I called in the a.m. for HVAC maintenance and Corrine  got me right in and scheduled with a very nice and Knowledgeable technician Joshua. He performed a thorough evaluation and cleaning  of the  
Furnace/ HvAC and  explained everything in detail of our system. He was courteous prompt, and a pleasure to work with.  Corrine was excellent on the phone as well!! Highly recommend this company.

Initially, we had another company come to diagnose and charge $1,200 for a fan replacement. We decided to get another opinion. Cole came by and diagnosed. Turns out, it was only a minor fix that was less costly. Cole was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Cole was adorable. And he gave me a good offer.
My property was the issue. Most companies didn't even send me an offer.
It wasn't great- the two guys were at my house for over 12 hours
And I wouldn't pay them
It didn't work
And it was loud
Then Cole came back-
tbh I think the hvac should be moved to the attic

But- (a month later)
They replaced it.

I filled out a request online for an estimate to install a mini split system. The technician didn't show for the original appointment time so I called the same day to receive an update. Was told by the receptionist that the technician was running late but would arrive within an hour. I received a call from the receptionist about 45 minutes later indicating the technician had arrived and needed access to the property. I instructed her to tell him where to park and the code to get into the gate. Another 45 minutes passed and I heard nothing. I called the receptionist back to indicate he never came to my home and she apologized for the inconvenience.

It should not be this difficult to get a simple estimate done.

Yelp hasn't failed me yet.  I reached for AC help, my original pick, never even responded...but HG did!  Corrine messaged back that evening, called in the am, scheduled in the afternoon, texted when 30 minutes out. Technician, Cole, on time, professional, informative, parts on hand and repaired the problem!  My upstairs was 87 degrees, not we are a cool 78 degrees. Thank you HG!!

HG is the best in the business! Family-owned and operated so you know you'll always receive the best service for your home. They go far beyond just HVAC needs as well. Very quick response time! They were here, fixing our AC issues in less than 24 hours. Andrew from HG Home Services did an amazing job today for my annual HVAC tune-up. He was right on time for the appointment and came equipped with whatever was required. He was kind enough to explain the checklist that he was going to follow as a part of the tune-up as well as provided some great recommendations to keep the system performance at its best!

HG Showed up at 9 am and left at 6.  These guys, this company is amazing.    For the first night in 6 years the air handler in my bedroom is quiet.    

Not only did they install my new system, and they ran into a ton of problems, they made sure it was quiet, and installed correctly.    On top of that they come back in 6 months to service it.  After that for $189 a year they come out every 6 months to service it.  And it has a 10 year warranty from HG.  

We didn't expect to have to cut the drywall but ended up doing it.  They would have repaired it (extra) but I had them cut it to the studs so I can do it myself.  

I really can't say enough about how great these guys are.  And based on my previous experiences it wouldn't take much to impress me but these guys did in spades.  Thanks to Cole and Jeff and the other guys who were here.

I cannot recommend HG Home Service enough. Absolute pros! Our technician did not stop till he was able to diagnose the issue with our tankless water heater and got it fixed. Thank you HG!
