We've had a great experience, we needed our main gas line repaired/replaced. The guys came out, worked hard, and had everything fixed and cleaned up within about a day and a half. When the gas company couldn't ignite the pilot light on the water heater, they were back out and got it lit within 10 minutes. Highly recommend this company if you need a reliable and efficient job done.

Hi, I'm posting this review on behalf of my Mother who's elderly and therefore doesn't really leave reviews. She had such a good experience that it was worth the time! I'm thankful that she decided to go with Good Guys as I have had a great experience as well a few years back when our water main had leaked and needed immediate replacement. Robert C came out right away to assess where the other guys wouldn't. He was pretty busy but had 2 guys come out the very next morning to repair!! Awesome!

From the moment I called Good Guys, I was greeted with a friendly voice. She was very patient and asked about my concerns with a broken toilet that wouldn't flush the waste and I needed immediate help. She instructed me to take a picture of the toilet and the space it was in and send it to her.
At the time i wasn't and asked for the identical toilet to replace the broken one. I was given a quote and appt time for the next morning between 8:30 and 10:30 & the techs name will be J J. He was very prompt by 8:30. In fact, he was even early! Since my son suggested a low water flow toilet I asked J J if the change was ok. He was very polite, courteous, knowledgeable and skillful and was accommodating with the change. He thoroughly explained the job he was performing and left the area very clean.
I LOVE MY NEW TOILET! Good Guys and J J, you have a customer for life!

Had a plumbing issue and phoned Good Guy Plumbing. How wonderful it was to actually get a live person and not have to leave a message. Spoke with Rob who was very nice and scheduled me for service at a convenient time for me. On the day of the service Rob came out with Ernie. They looked over the job and gave me an estimate, which was reasonable. Rob left and Ernie completed the work very professionally and efficiently. I would definitely us them again.

I had a problem in my upstairs bathroom leaking down to my den I called my plumber they came out on July 27 said I needed a new wax ring they installed it and left. Two days later I still had a leak coming from my upstairs bathroom I called my plumber again they came out a week later said they could not find the problem and left. Good Guy Plumbing is THE BEST service! We had water leaking onto our garage floor non-stop, and two worst-case scenarios ran through our minds: 1) a slab leak, where the concrete floor would have to be broken through and we'd have a bill we got queasy just thinking about, or 2) a leak from inside the wall, possibly coming from our 3rd floor bathroom sink (and with this one, we pictured water damage and mold running down the whole height of the house). We looked up plumbers and came up with Good Guy Plumbing as the best-sounding choice.

Well, they actually WERE the best choice. When I called, Robert was so kind and courteous on the phone, assuring me that they'd take good care of us. I've been used to dealing with plumbers who couldn't come until the next day or even later, or who say they're going to call me back once they check their availability but never do, and I actually have to call them several times to get a single appointment. So imagine my surprise when GGP made the appointment for the same day, and how I was even more surprised that in less than two minutes of hanging up, they sent me a text confirming the appointment and letting me know (with name and photo) who would be coming for the repair. So efficient!

They gave me an appointment time with a 2-3 hour window, but Ernie (the plumber who came) arrived on the dot, if not a few minutes earlier. (They also sent a text about 15 min. before letting me know he was en route.) When he arrived, he was great -- knowledgeable, very helpful and courteous. I showed him what was going on in the garage and told him we suspected a leak from the top floor. The good news was he traced the leak (and spotted another one on the verge) to just below the 1st floor ceiling. While he worked he explained to me how the type of copper pipe used in our wall is the kind that can spring leaks early, and told me what we might expect in the future and options to consider. He wasn't trying to sell me anything either -- he showed a genuine concern and gave me information I could refer to down the line, whether I used GGP again or not. He also explained what he was doing and why, and answered every question I had, which I really appreciated.

I was still concerned about the top floor bathroom because there were signs of possible leaking from there. So after he was done in the garage I asked him to have a look. He did and showed me how each of the signs was more likely caused by other things: the lack of a rain gutter possibly causing a water mark on the wall (since no pipe would be in that section), grout broken not from moisture but old age, and a hairline crack that was letting condensation get in behind the bathroom wallpaper, causing a water stain. But he said there was no actual leak, which was (hallelujah!) more than a relief.

In all, he did a fantastic job! Very fair and very honest. The leak is fixed, and even more, we have peace of mind. Thank you, Ernie -- Thank you, GGP!!!

I am very conflicted with leaving a review for Good Guy Plumbing. On one hand -- Robert and all of his workers were professional, courteous and responsive. I am convinced they are great at what they do. We'll most probably use them again.

On the other hand -- the product is another story. We had our whole house renovated with new bathrooms and faucet fixtures --- the works! We were looking for a solution to our hard water situation in San Pedro (which is the case I think in most of Los Angeles) so as to preserve all that expensive tiles and brushed nickel fixtures from scaling. We researched many options but we couldn't find an acceptable option -- most were salt-based and required substantial maintenance. Robert suggested Enviro Water Products envirowaterproducts.com, a whole-house system that is supposed to be maintenance free. It's pretty pricey, but after having spent so much on the renovation, we figured it's worth it to protect our investment. The installation itself went very smoothly, the system looked great, and the workers were fantastic. After it was installed, we found out that it wasn't completely maintenance free. The filter needed to be changed yearly which was not a super big deal. We were just told it wasn't the case. Robert gave us a free filter to appease me. Then we waited 2 weeks to test the hardness of water using testing strips. We were appalled to see that the results showed the water was the hardest on the scale. After much going back and forth, we learned from Robert that Enviro is NOT a softener but an alternative, crystalizing the calcium and such to prevent scale build up (99.6%). Fine -- very misleading advertising. After 2 months our new bathroom tiles and fixtures house have build-up even worse than we had before. So, since I think it's the product that doesn't work, I docked them only 2 points. But I'm extremely disappointed. I could have save the money and put into landscaping.

I called Good Guy Plumbing with an urgent need with a backed up main line and they helped me get quick service. My initial appointment was a couple of days out, but I began to have a spill thanks to my kids, so Tami worked me into their busy schedule. JJ & Hector came out to help me with the blockage and it was due to roots at 93 feet from the entry point. These guys were fantastic and worked hard to solve a rather complicated problem. We ended up hydro-jetting the line from the roof and the video showed a clean line. I wouldn't hesitate to call them back. I liked that they didn't try to sell me extra stuff I didn't need. These guys were Fast and Efficient. I had to get out of their way because I was slowing them down. :) They're not jusy Good Guys, they're Great Guys and it's a company that I can highly recommend. -Kevin

I bought a new refrigerator from Best Buy and the delivery people won't connect the water because it's a copper line.... Called Goodguys and Adamu came in the next day and fixed the issue. I don't often write Yelp reviews, but I felt compelled to do one today for Good Guy Plumbing. I had an urgent issue with our house yesterday that needed attention. When I called Good Guy Plumbing, I immediately spoke to Robert, the owner. I didn't speak to a receptionist or a dispatch person. I explained the situation to Robert and he was able to get a couple technicians to the house later the same day. The technicians were knowledgeable, prompt and polite.

The most important thing, though, is that I felt like they treated me like a person. This is the way businesses are supposed to be run. They listened to my problem, and I really feel like they helped me. I was in a situation where I could have easily been ripped off (and plenty out there do so). Not Robert. I very much appreciate it and will be using Good Guy Plumbing for all of my associated needs. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

I wish a review was like this for me to have read before calling Good Guys. So I hope this helps anyone looking for a plumber! I was quoted 79 to have them come out and it included inspection. Technician came out and before he suited up said it would be 125. I asked why when I was quoted 79 and he said that's a dispatch fee only, 125 is to do a diagnostic. After speaking to the owner, he apologized and did refund the 79. He said 125 is if they have to break down walls. Our leak was in the crawl space, tech knew that but still over charged me. Again, owner corrected that. Anyways 777 to replace 1 ft of pipe with pro press not copper pipe. Total repair about 10 min! To find the leak 10 min! I asked for a breakdown on how he got 777 and they don't do price break downs. So I know pin hole leaks are very common, if you have a pin hole leak in your crawl space and 1 ft needs to be replaced it will run you 777. If this price seems right, by all means use this company. If it seems ridiculous then run and find a reasonable priced licensed plumber who's not taking advantage. 5 days later a leak emerged right around where the original one was. In MY opinion, very suspicious. I sent video to the owner and he said they can come back to look at it and fix it and will give me the price before they start. I already know the ball park is close to 800 for a pin hole leak. Why on earth would I use them again? I'm so upset because in MY opinion we were completely ripped off! I really hope this helps someone out there.

I will never go to a different plumber. Excellent customer service reasonable prices. And they tell every Thing they are going to do and most likely happening or could potentially happen.
We've used them 3 times now and had Johnny for the last two. Every time he's come he's been extremely professional, patient and honest. This last time we called the night before and we're able to get someone out the next day to deal with a horribly clogged toilet and he explained everything he was going to try and beat and worse case.
It got pretty gross with the piping and the toilet but he handled it like a trooper and wore a mask the whole time.

Hydro Jetting Done Right!

Have had a slow drain for years and got tired of constantly pouring 1-gallon of drain cleaner down every other week and finally bit the bullet and called Good Guy Plumbing to clean the drain properly. The hydro jetting takes a pressure washer hose with jets and flushes all of the gunk and sludge down to the main sewer line from the clean out access. SO MUCH BETTER than a snake!!!! Our drain is clear, smells good and the area outside of the house that looked like a bomb went off from all of the sludge was properly cleaned afterwards. Price was well worth the effort that was needed to clean this drain. I highly recommend this company for any drain or plumbing issues.

Robert, the General Manager, gave me an estimate on a new water heater and stuck to the estimate. I called in the late afternoon and he was able to schedule the install for the next morning. Ernie, the lead plumber and his assistant were meticulous, pleasant, efficient and extremely capable. Robert showed up near the end of the install to make sure we were satisfied with the work. Other plumbing companies would be wise to use this company as a business model. Great work!

Down stairs bathroom wall was deteriorating due to water leaking from somewhere above. I could not find the source. Thought it was a drain pipe. Good Guy came out same day and figured it out. He looked at a hose coiled on the deck and asked me if I had cleaned the deck recently. Indeed I did and that was the source of the water damage! It wasn't due to plumbing at all, but rather the deck builder not sealing between the house and the deck. I paid the initial visit fee. It was worth every cent. Great job Good Guy.

This was my first experience with Good Guy Plumbing. They were referred to me by a colleague from work. Ernesto and his son, Ernesto Jr., came and they helped to isolate where a leak was coming from in my home (ie. it was in the concrete slab beneath the floor). They were able to bypass the faulty pipe by rerouting the water line using PEX pipe material. They did a great job and they were wonderful to interact with. I definitely can recommend them.

These are not good guys . They tried to con us. Here are their failures:

We had a faucet to replace, and the faucet company sent us the replacement. Good Guys plumbing installed it in the same space and charged us $325 for less than an hour's work and no parts. That night, the faucet was turning itself on and off with no one in the kitchen. When we called and were connected to the plumber, he instructed us to turn the water off, and he was unable to come out for several days, leaving us without a working sink in the kitchen. When he finally came out, he blamed it on the brand-new faucet and couldn't fix it. While checking it, he turned off the water to the dishwasher, which had been working, but then wouldn't work. When they came back out, they tried to blame the brand-new faucet for the leak, not their own work. We got another faucet, and Good Guy chose to come out on a Saturday. Then, they wanted another $400 plus an extra third because it was Saturday to install the faucet. They chose to come on a Saturday, not us! Such a rip off to charge us full price plus 1/3 extra to repair their own screw up. We found another plumber who came immediately, fixed the faucet, and turned the water for the dishwasher back on for only $100.

Please find a more ethical plumbing company. This one tries to rip off people, while incompetently handling the repair.

I am the homeowner. Honestly, Good Guy Plumbing wasn't the first plumber we called for our problem, which involved poor drainage of our first floor toilet. I should have called them from the get-go...

Another plumbing company came out and removed the toilet, snaked the line and told us that it was now clear out to the street.

Unfortunately, that was Not True, and the problem recurred within about a week. That company returned but wouldn't take responsibility for their workmanship and wanted to sell us as an Expensive Camera Service. But, after considerable discussion with their manager, they refunded our money and walked away to avoid a formal complaint.

So, we reached out to GOOD GUY PLUMBING, which we heard about through a friend.

Very Courteous, Professional, and Prompt! I explained the problem, and they outlined what they were going to do for a Fixed Price, including the Camera Inspection, if needed. They had brought all the proper equipment and they routered the main drain line out to the street, which involved two different size lines: first a four-inch line, which connected to a six-inch line drainage line out to the city sewer.

The six-inch line had ROOTS in it, which they identified and cut out with the Router equipment. The good guys from Good Guy Plumbing (Robert is the Owner) then used a camera to inspect the lines to ensure that they were now clear and showed me the video, which confirmed that fact.

Superb work, Great Attitude, Prompt Service, and a very reasonable price! I would heartily recommend them to anyone needing Plumbing Service of any kind!

This Good Guy Plumbing company was excellent. They took care of a gas line issue, hydrojetting and went under concrete to line a sewer to overcome roots coming from the neighbors trees. Robert in charge of the whole messy operation. It was a very professional operation. Robert could not have been nicer and this is why they are called Good Guys Plumbing Robert explained and carefully priced everything. When problems came up and they did, he was right there to orchestrate a fix. He listened to all my concerns and treated me with respect. When I need another plumbing intervention, I will go straight back to Good Guys Plumbing for Robert and his team. I have used many plumbers in my long home-owning life, and this is the first plumbing company that I would gladly use again.

I just had to leave this review. The slogan 'Honest & Fair' is the absolute truth. I spoke with Robert Jr over the phone and he reassured me nothing would be done that was not necessary and they would do what would be least expensive and done correctly. When they arrived I explained my issue and made them aware of the problem. They listened to me and understood my problem. The team of Albie and Ernie was just fantastic! They explained where my leak was and any information to help me understand the plumbing aspects. They worked hard and very well together. I felt like they were my family. I love those guys! They kept me informed every step of the way as they were working. Nowadays it is really hard to find a plumber that is honest and does great work. This business provides both. I have recommended them to a friend and will continue to do so. If anyone should read this review make the call you will not be disappointed. Review update/improvement:
After talking with the owner and reading his offer to make good for the timing problems we had, I agreed to have the same men who worked here before come back and fix the water leaking out of my bathroom faucet handles.
Today they came, on time, with the ordered parts, did the job well as far as I can tell now, and as promised Robert (owner) gave me the 10% discount.

It's rare to have an owner offer to make good as opposed to burying a negative review far down on the read-list and just ignoring it. Bravo!

I was buying a home and needed a camera inspection to check the condition of the main line. Robert and his team came out and went above and beyond what I expected. Brought out the camera scoop, had an ipad set up for me to watch live, took pictures and narrated during the inspection. He was very knowledgeable and knew a little about everything. Solid 5 Stars. Good Guy Plumbing repaired the pipe from the city meter to the house. Not an inexpensive repair by any means. Robert (the Owner) quoted me a competitive price (I quoted 3 other local companies as a comparison) and based on Robert's consistent communication throughout the process (scheduling, my questions regarding the specifics, etc.), I decided to go with his company.

It's been about 2 months since the repair, and no leaks to speak of. During the repair, Robert's team dug up the lawn but did it in a way as to not damage too much of the turf (which I really appreciated).

Because of Robert's management of the entire project, he and his company will be called upon for future business from me. Thanks Guys.

Get your pricing up front. Gold silver bronze who knows. Had to ask for booties as it was raining. Did not call when on way. Had a leaky bathroom faucet. Plumber broke my valve under the sink. Charge to repair valve was $335. Estimate to repair the drip was $425. Over $700 to repair a drip? Left message for owner to return my call...it's been 3 weeks. No return call.

Finally got a response from the owner. Very reasonable person. He understood what I went through and he refunded me my $335? My leaky faucet repaired by another plumber.

It's really hard to find good, honest people in Southern California. Rob with Good Guy plumbing is the exception. After getting a quote from another plumber that was excessive and wasn't properly evaluated, I called Good Guy. He and his team bent over backwards to accommodate a demanding schedule, came the same day, performed a proper evaluation of the issue, and saved me $1,500. I highly recommend Good Guy plumbing to anyone who wants to do business with a genuine good guy.

Prices are just outrageous! They originally quoted me $396 to replace the wax seal on my toilet. Then they came back and said the flange needed to be replaced and now the price was $789 !! The flange is a $15 part. It is just placed in the drain pipe and secured with 4 screws. That's it. And for that they wanted another $400. After a call back to the office they brought the price down to $700. At that point I was stuck as they had it pulled apart and I agreed to the initial work. They were done is less than an hour. I called the office talked to the manager. He confirmed that is their standard pricing and I am paying for their efficiency and expertise. What BS. It is a flange secured with 4 screws. I just feel robbed.

Was transparent about pricing and how their payment was based off the dignostics which makes total sense. They waive the dignostics fee if you proceed the fixing with them. Our technician David was very knowledged, honest and thorough with his job. He explained what the issue was which unfortunately was not our fault but the previous tenant, but he was kind enough to give us advice for prevention etc. He cleaned up before leaving as well. I had a sewer line that backed up and called Good Guy. It took a few days for them to be able to come but I waited as they were highly recommended to me.
They communicated clearly the day and time they would come, gave the name of the technician, and had him check in with me.
He texted that he could come earlier than my appointment and followed up with a phone call.
He was polite clean and communicated well.
He arrived with a box truck and tried two different snakes to open the drain. When they didn't work he tried the Hydro Jet. I was pleased that it didn't mean his having to leave to go get it.
I asked if he could repair a cracked fitting and he had the parts with him to to that as well.

I wish i could give ten stars, as they deserve it. I called Robert yesterday afternoon when i found a leak. Ernie and Albi were at my house a few hours later (on a Saturday). They quickly diagnosed the issue (dishwasher pump) and told me what needed to be done. This is the second time I've called Good Guy Plumbing and both experiences have been outstanding.

I had my laundry setup moved from the kitchen to a hallway closet. They guys who showed up were great and did an awesome job. My guest bathroom had an odor smell. I looked up the plumbing services in my area. I decided to call the Good Guy Plumbing. Spoke to Robert, he gave me an appointment for the next day 10:30-11:30 am. When the time came, I saw the van slowly drove along the drive way toward my place. It was so on time. I was impressed.!!!!
The technician was Adamu. He was very courteous, friendly, and clean. He even put on something over his shoes when walked inside my place. I really appreciate it. After checking around the sources of problems, he then replaced the toilet wax rings and chalked the base. I also asked him to fix the toilet tank in the master bathroom that having the water buzzing sound. Problems were solved. Unbelievable less time consuming, no noises, and clean.

I would probably use Good Guy Plumbing again for a plumbing issue. I had done an internet search for a company that did service and repair on reverse osmosis water systems. I needed a filter change and the system sanitized. Good Guy Plumbing popped up on the search. The gentleman that took my call was very polite and professional and I told him what I needed filters replaced and the R/O system sanitized and he quoted me a price of $125.00. I made an appointment. I was given a time of arrival between 11am and 1pm. 1pm came and went and I got a phone call around 1:30 and was advised that they were tied up and it would be around 5pm. I agreed. A little after 5 I received another call and was advised that the job was taking longer could I reschedule with I understood that problems come up and set another appointment for 2 days later. The gentlemen told me that he would be sure to discount the service because of the inconvenience of them having to cancel the original appt. The plumber arrived on time and I told him what I needed, handed him the parts and the instructions in the event he wasn't familiar with the R/O system I had. Sometime during the job one of the rubber o-rings for one of the filter canisters got lost, (which could of been my fault as I was the one who rinsed out the canister) which we didn't realize until it was back together and leaked. I had to order the part from the company which didn't arrive for several more days. The plumber had everything hooked back up except the one filter canister that needed the o-ring. He called the office for the price to charge and the discount consisted of $0.00 because I was charged $125.00 the original cost. After he left, I noticed that the sanitizing solution was still in the package, (un-opened) so the system was not sanitized either. The part came and I finished the job myself, as well as sanitizing the system. So I sure they are a good reliable plumber, but I would not recommend them if your looking for a R/O system filter replacement and sanitizing the system.

My go to rooter Guy now! My usual (20+ years) was booked up so thought I would check yelp for suggestions. Gave good Guy a call and got contacted right away by Rob (he might be the owner) . Friendly and accommodating with my schedule and the cost was less that my regular guy. 2 guys arrived on time and were very concerned with keeping my home clean (more than I am!) they completed the job in no time flat and left the bathroom sparkling. This company is the best plumbing company I have ever used. The
work completed was very high quality and there has been no need for
a call back. This job involved a fairly extensive first floor repipe from
the water main pipe just outside the house in order to fix ongoing issues with slab leaks. This job involved three days, about twenty two holes in the drywall, a hole through the house and every night when the crew finished for the day, they made sure that I still had water pressure.

I would like to add that I went out to bid on this project and many
plumbers I contacted did not show up to bid, some plumbers who
came gave me extremely high bids as if they didn't even want the job, some did not show up on time and some required me to keep calling them to get the bid.

Good Guy Plumbing was very professional as they came out to Rancho Palos Verdes to bid, were on time and gave me a very reasonable price right away. Since I had an existing slab leak, they were also ready to start almost immediately. Good Guy Plumbing will be my go to plumber from now on. Thanks for your excellent service and dedication to do quality work!!!!

Good Guy Plumbing is the company to call if you have an emergency repair or planning a project that consists difficult plumbing. On one occasion where my tub's mixing valve cracked in the wall causing water to flood into the walls of my home. I call other plumbing companies in the area, that I won't name, they never even showed up, most likely because it was a tough job, I had to stay in a hotel for days because I had to secure water to my house and could not find a plumber to help me, until I finally called Good Guy Plumbing. Robert and Ernie from Good Guy Plumbing were at my house within an hour, investigated the problem and gave me a quote that was well under what I expected, they replaced the mixing valve with one that came with isolation valves so if the problem happens again I can stop the leak at the source and not have stay at a hotel. I was also very impressed with Ernie's soldering abilities, most of the time you see spatter and burn marks everywhere, not with Ernie it's a clean job. I have used them more than once now, on such jobs as placing in plumbing to my new kitchen, they saved me hours of labor and money, and ensured I had quality piping and appliances installed. In short save yourself a lot of time and money and go with quality plumbing, go with Good Guy Plumbing.

I had a pipe rupture in my new home last week, and I called Good Guy in a panic. It was quite an alarming situation for me as I could not locate the leak or the shut-off. Luckily, Adamu came in less than an hour, and was able to quickly locate the the leak -- inside an interior wall with no access. He cut into the wall in a very conscientious way to preserve trim for future repairs. He then quickly repaired the line and left me up and running. I was on the verge of facing a real disaster, but thanks to the quick response time from Good Guy, and the good troubleshooting by Adamu, I was able to get by without major damage. Thank you!

Professional, clean, fast, efficient, friendly. David and Adamu stopped by and installed a bidet, fixed a leaky sink, and replaced a worn out old shower faucet cartridge. Good Guys Plumbing customer service sets the highest standard with outstanding customer service. I called to report my garbage disposal was redirecting water into my dishwasher. The excess water caused my dishwasher to overflow and spill water onto my kitchen floor.

We had a water issue in our home on Thursday morning. I called a plumber who we had used in the past and paid the $80 service fee only to be told they couldn't fix the issue that day (they basically didn't have any tools or equipment on them - and they gave me a $900 quote for what they thought needed to be done).

I ended up calling GoodGuys plumbing that same evening and Robert the owner had someone there the next day to check out our issue.
Ernie the plumber showed up and literally pinpointed the issue and fixed it in less than an hour. The issue was completely different than what the first company told me and it was half the price.

I was referred to Good Guy Plumbing by a friend and was very happy with the experience. After several quotations from local reputable plumbers, I felt that this team was the best in both quality, experience, and price for my whole house re-pipe. The crew was friendly and ensured all parts ran smooth after the job was done. They ensured they did not leave a mess and always closed the door behind them when going from room to room to be sure my cats would not escape. They worked with my schedule, arrived timely, and resolved a few water pressure issues after the job was completed the following week. The work took a bit longer than originally planned but that was assumed with any major installation so I had no issue. I will definitely be calling Rob at Good Guy for any future work!

What a racket! I wanted them to install a garbage disposal. On the phone they will tell you that there are no set prices, so you must get a plumber (or 2) to come out and assess it. It's $79 for the visit. Fine. ...A week and a half later, they are here 2 minutes, and the guy quotes me a set price of $375 to install the disposal (which does not include the garbage disposal, itself). Wow. I wish they could have been fair & honest and told me that on the phone. Either there is a set price, or there isn't. Which is it? I hate that kind of misrepresentation, just to make a buck. Too bad... I really need a good plumber for some other stuff, but IMO Good Guy really blew it.

It's always nerve-wracking when you need plumbing work done on your home. Luckily, Good Guy Plumbing was so amazing to work with! I had a leaky water main running from the meter to my house, so they had to dig into the front lawn to replace it. They did a great job, super fast, and they cleaned up really well afterwards. I feel as if I had an abnormal experience with Good Guy Plumbing (GGP), considering all of their other positive reviews, but maybe I was unlucky. Phoned GGP around Christmas to ask for an initial consultation on some plumbing issues identified in our home inspection. A GGP plumber was dispatched on Monday 12/27 and showed up on time. Had a good visit and discussion about the scope of work, he charged me $125 for the visit (which would then be applied to whatever work they later performed) and said I'd have a quote/estimate either later that day or the next. Didn't hear from GGP for several days, so on 10-January I decided I should give them another shot and followed up with a call to the office. Spoke to a GGP representative and explained that two weeks had passed since my consultation and I hadn't heard a peep from anyone. Asked if they simply weren't interested in my business and the representative apologized and assured me that they were, and that they had run into a bout of the flu with several of their plumbers, which was causing a backlog of work. I'm a reasonable guy so I accepted the explanation, and asked that someone get back in touch with me soon, otherwise I would need to look elsewhere. The representative told me someone would be in touch with me very soon. I'm now writing this review nearly 30 days later, with still no call or contact from GGP. I'm in the service business myself and am just super disappointed with this experience, especially since their reviews indicate high responsiveness and quality customer service. Again, maybe I was unlucky in this situation, and while I'm always happy to pay for good service, I would certainly appreciate the return of my $125, which wasn't earned nor warranted for this kind of experience. Better luck to the rest of you.

So I seem to be having a interesting problems with my house. First it was an electrical switch (see that review - Groundrod Electric). Now it's plumbing.

I've had the good fortune of finding Good Guy Plumbing. They replaced a toilet, snaked lines, and this time it's replacing a kitchen faucet with a pinhole leak in it. Go figure. Roque was my technician for today. 2 hours flat to change out the faucet, including one of the water lines feeding the faucet. Helped me learn how to use it (I've squirted myself with the new sprayer only once :}!)

Roque is very professional and friendly. He was very neat and kept me informed of his progress.

The woman who I believe is a receptionist named Tammy failed to let me know that there was a fee to have the guys come out to give me a quote on replacing my main water valves. First, the appointment was scheduled for 9am 1/26/22. Then Tammy called a day before my appointment to let me know that 10am may be better because the workers may take a bit longer with their job in the morning. Then no show for another two hours. When I am in the middle of my meeting around 12:30pm, they showed up. Thankfully I work from home, but they looked at the main water valves for 5 mins, then gave me a quote after 10 mins. The guys were very knowledgeable, nice and I wish I had more time to discuss more about my other plumbing issues but I needed to go back to my meeting so I only had time to discuss the main water valves that day. Then after I got an estimated quote of $1200, I asked the quote through email but I needed to go back to my meeting. Then one of the guys named Danny said oh theres a fee for us to come out to give a quote, that will be $79. $79 for a quote to replace main water valves that took less than 10 minutes in total to give an estimate for?! So I called the office and asked Tammy if there was a charge because I have not found that on their website nor did she mention it when I made an appointment. First, she apologized and said she will refund the money. That was 1/26. Then my husband called 1/31 and asked Tammy if she was going to refund. She says she was in the process, and then nothing. My husband called again 2/4, when Tammy said she would give confirmation email or call me about the refund. Nothing. I was just so frustrated/tired of this process that I decided not to even ask for their official quote, which I paid $79 for and didn't even receive.

Update: The owner Robert has reached out and apologized which I truly appreciated. Also Tammy left voicemail twice to apologize and refunded the money right after. Thus I am editing this review based on how the company handled the situation. Its unfortunate that I was not able to use their service.

We called around to see if a plumbing company can install an In-wall-water-bottle dispenser and most couldn't. If they could, they quoted me some crazy amount or didn't get back in a timely manner. Robert was the REAL DEAL. He responded promptly and was super personable. He came out when our dispenser arrived to see where we can put it and when he left within hours we received a reasonable quote via email. Within a few days his team (Ernie and another worker I forgot his name) came and installed the system. They were super friendly and so fun to work with. We also had some other valve issues, and again, Robert gave us a a reasonable quote, followed up accordingly and got his team out the next day to replace it. LOVE LOVE LOVE working with each and person at Good Guys Plumbing they made me feel like family and was on top of it!

I highly recommend this company!! My mom and I called them today in a panic due to a situation that was happening with a different plumbing company that came to our house. At the time they were already booked full with appointments but Tami was so sweet to stay in the phone with my mom and ask questions about what we were experiencing with the other plumbing company. She reassured us that everything was going fine from the way we were describing it, and said that it was normal to have water take a while to drain from the pipes. Ernie is the absolute best!! We just bought a home and had him come over to clear two drains. He ended up going above and beyond and fixing several other small things at no cost, including teaching us how to repair something that would have cost us a lot to have him to do. I've never had someone do this before--I so appreciated not only the money this saved us, but the time he took to explain how to do it on our own. He was friendly, efficient, had a great sense of humor, and was very thorough. I also love how Good Guy Plumbing is easy to use as a customer--their website is easy to use to book services, I received text messages when Ernie was on his way and emails with updates and invoices afterward. I used Good Guy last year Oct. 2021 and my clogged was cleared very nicely by JJ. However, they have no record of this visit and apparently do not know who JJ is. But having had success with the one call after another plumber failed to clear the clog in the sink line last year, I had them come this year when the sink stopped draining again. Unfortunately, I had to leave and they were not able to get the line cleared and the sink remained clogged when they left. It turns out that my reverse osmosis unit had caused lime buildup inside the pipe which is why the regular drain cleaners were not working nor was the snake, their's or mine. I'm not sure the pressure hose would have worked any better to remove the lime. So I finally got a gallon of vinegar and poured that down the drain and used my own snake in the pipe to move the vinegar down the water column then I took the snake out. The drain started to work a little but then stopped up again. So I put my 25' snake in again and hit a hard spot. I hit on it using the snake as a plunger and when it broke thru the water FINALLY drained properly. I now have a clear drain. I could have saved myself the $200 for poor service if I had figured out the lime thing a lot sooner. I will chock this up to a $200 lesson what only needed a gallon jug of vinegar at $3.30.

We are a Management Company in the South Bay and deal with plumbing companies on a daily. Good Guy was referred to us by our client and a homeowner of a home in San Pedro we manage. They answered the email immediately, made an appointment with us right away, and then followed up with a digital appointment to log in to our online calendar. They were on time for our tenants and fixed the shower valve that has been having problems with low pressure for awhile along with the cartridge. They came, fixed it and now all good. They even sent us a follow up status report and an invoice that was emailed - made it so easy for our office! We will be calling on them again and GREAT, Professional service!

I needed to run a new water line from my house into my back guest house. Gave Good Guy Plumbing a call and the owner (Rob) was at my place same day. Very friendly and accommodating. He gave me a better price than 2 other local plumbers. They started 2 days later. Brick and some cement needed to be busted to run the line. Not only were they clean, but they were quick and did a fantastic job. I was worried about replacing the brick and how it would look, but they were able to use the same ones that were lifted up. Looked perfect when done. Couldn't of been happier with the job they did. Bonus!! I had a weird noise coming from my master bathroom toilet. Rob took a look and informed me it was a simple fix, just a $60 part that needed to be replaced. They did it for FREE! These guys are the real deal and I even received a thank you letter after. 5 stars across the board.

When drain clog and can't use showers it's hard on any family. Found the answer!! Good Guy plumbing answered me back in less than 5 minutes with a quote. I requested 5 quotes and you can read my other reviews but if need Plumber Here they are. Robert the owner emailed me his number and I called. Job completed by Roque in less than 45 minutes. They adjusted their schedule to match my availability and a went well. Mr Roque was very professional, and a fast efficient worker. I had a pinhole leak issue, so I searched around plumbing services in town. I asked for estimates and possible high-end cost for the work from three highly reviewed different companies. Good Guy Plumbing was the only one that came up with the actual number instead of typical it all depends response. Robert gave me minimum to potential maximum cost, and what would make it minimum and what kind of work could potentially become maximum or beyond. I understood clearly, and made an appointment. The technician, Adamu, came to my house quickly, he was very knowledgable and humble.He identified the source of the leak and finished the work quickly in perfection. I'll definitely use this company for the next plumbing work.

We had a laundry list of item/repairs from a home inspection for the sale of our house. Robert sent his guys out in the morning, we went over all of the items, gave them the written list and got out of their way.
His guys worked quickly and efficiently first knocking out the interior items then attacked the exterior and under house.

The crews show up on time and are very professional and friendly at the same time. They always take time to explain what needs to be done to fix the problem.

The tankless water heater had issues. It was already installed at our home when we bought it 2 years ago so I was not sure how old it was and whether it had been serviced or maintained. I went with Good Guy Plumbing because of excellent online reviews and I am very satisfied with the work done. Roque came out to the home and was on time. He is very friendly and knows what he was doing. He recommended getting the water heater flushed and cleaned out. Apparently these tankless water heaters require regular maintenance and cleaning to keep them working. He did the job in a couple hours and the hot water was back to working regularly. I highly recommend Good Guy Plumbing and I am going to call on them again in the future. Great work Roque!

Had a few unrelated clogged drains recently and ended up calling on Good Guy Plumbing twice. What I especially appreciate about them is how they've incorporated tech into the business. I got a text verifying that someone was coming, and a personal profile of my address, the issue, etc. Billing is handled online or through square. I appreciate that convenience.

Also, I appreciated the skill and the thoughtfulness of the plumbers who came by both times. I thought they were courteous, hard working and efficient. I personally don't have a sense of whether the rates they charge are cheap or expensive for plumbing, but I was so impressed with the level of service the first time (esp compared to other companies that can be rude, flaky, or give you the sense that they're making things up on the spot) that I couldn't fathom calling anyone else when the second issue came up.

I can't thank you enough for the help you provided to unclog our drain. I was able to go online and schedule a quick appointment. I received a call back to let me know they got the information which gave me a good feeling on follow up. Rob was very friendly and asked if it was an emergency as he could get someone immediately if needed. I told him I could wait for the appointment time. He texted me back an hour before someone arrived. Very friendly plumber Johnny came and quickly unclogged the drain. He ran the camera down the drain to assure me all was good. The water was draining and all back to normal. Thanks Johnny and Rob for quickly taking care of this. You guys saved the day!! Thank you so much.

The name says it all!! So professional, on time, communication amazing!! Price was right on!!

I had called them Good Guys for a faucet installation and change out of water valves in my home. Ernie Escobar came early and was very good in explaining what I should do and was very friendly. I He was very thorough in how he methodically did his work and kept work area nice and clean.
Based on my work amount and a first time customer discount, the price was very reasonable.
I will use them from now on and will always ask for Ernie!!

Adamu came over to our place of business and helped us out of a tight spot. Apparently, Roto Rooter is on commission so they'll tell you your whole bathrooms need to be replaced and then they insult you by charging you for the quote because they can't possibly think people are so stupid to believe them.
So he did the small repairs that were needed at a super reasonable/very fair price and explained everything that was, and WAS NOT, needed! Thank you, Good Guys, because you are! You saved my company lots of money and made me look good to my bosses. You are awesome and you will be invited back anytime we need plumbing services. FANTASTIC JOB/KUDOS!!!!

I went to our guest bathroom and found it was flooded! Hubby said we have a leak in the incoming water pipe as it was clean water and we could hear a hissing sound. It was after hours. I used my cell and contacted Good Guy Plumbing - Robert. Meanwhile, Hubby used his to call another service who said they could come out quick. Robert said he could not come out that night but for us to shut the water off and they could come in the morning. Robert said for me not to panic and not to get taken by the emergency plumber.
Emergency plumber came - did not even take out any dry wall and said 3 - 4 THOUSAND dollars -but he could fix it promptly. I texted Robert who said Good Guy could plumb the whole bathroom for that price. Hubby read Robert's texts, paid the minimum service charge to emergency guys and sent them on their way.
Adamu and Ino, from Good Guy Plumbing, came the following day and immediately found the leak, cut drywall neatly, and was done within an hour for less than $500! Adamu joked They call me the leak whisperer.
We will call Good Guy Plumbing first from now on! Robert's help during the evening kept us from panicking but focused on mitigation of the water, damage and cost. Adamu and Ino did the great work! What Good Guys!

We had a new gas line installed from the gas meter to the house. The bid was reasonable and the scheduling worked out for us. Originally, the job was bid for one day, but it actually took two. I think they underestimated how long it would take to hand dig the trench.

We are very happy with the finished job and are thrilled to have our hot water and heat back! They tidied the work area up nicely and there were no hidden charges.

Definitely will consider using these guys again!

We were prepared for a holiday disaster when we discovered that our water main line had a leak Friday night before Memorial Day. Saturday morning our images of out houses and garden hose showers all weekend were erased when Good Guy Plumbing arrived, gave us several options, and went to work. We ended the weekend with a new copper main line, a minimally dug up front yard, and new toilet inner workings. All for the same affordable price we were quoted on Saturday morning. We couldn't be happier with the result and, while we hope we never need to call them again professionally, we won't waste our time with anyone else. Our ONLY call for any plumbing need will be to Good Guy Plumbing. Thanks for a GREAT job!

This review is about 8 months late, but is still well deserved after the overall great job they did with our bathrooms. Judging from the reviews I've read, the job we hired them for is probably on the bigger/more complex side than the typical plumbing call. We needed three things done:
1) re-piping to convert our single vanity sink to a double vanity sink
2) drywall installed behind the sink for a portion of the wall that was gutted out to eliminate a bad mold issue (highly recommend Advanced Environmental for mold remediation - see my review on their page for details)
3. Install two new vanities and 3 sinks/faucets in two different bathrooms

Robert took good care of me by giving me a very competitive price for all of this work. I'm the type of guy that gets 3 estimates minimum for house work that I hire out for, and I can confirm that Robert gave an honest and competitive price. Robert and his crew showed great professionalism in how they carried out the job and addressed any preferences/needs I had along the way.

I always try to give fair reviews so I need to mention some hiccups along the way. There was a minor drip leak in 2 of the 3 sink faucets the same day they were installed, but they immediately came back out to fix the leaks as soon as I called. Also, there were some scratches made on our tile floors from pushing the vanities against the walls during installation. These issues were nothing major and I still highly recommend them as their prices for big jobs like this are competitive and their service was great given the job at hand.

Good Guys is right! My corporate office sent me a water bottle filling station that I needed installed by the end of the year. Even though they weren't the low bidder, I decided to go with my gut and use Good Guys because of the detailed Scope of Work and the 1 year warranty. I made the right decision! Ernie Jr and Danny were great! They arrived promptly on time and were very professional. After asking what problems I was having, they quickly assessed the situation and made the necessary recommendations. They provided clear and itemized costs and completed the necessary repairs quickly. As with all other companies, they provided recommended and suggested preventative maintenance on other areas they saw that could be problematic in the future. We do have old cast iron pipes in our house. Will see how those estimates get quoted in a follow-up email. I like the communication this company provides via both text and email. We also received some great advice and guidance on what our next steps are for the old sewer piping that exists in our old Torrance area home. Highly recommend Good Guy Plumbing for their prompt, efficient, professional and caring service! We experienced a gas leak and had gas shut off for days before we finally found Good Guy Plumbing. Ernie and Mario were on the job right away, worked to locate the leak and replaced almost 100 feet of gas pipe for two units in our complex. They excavated trenches without having to remove existing concrete walkways, which saved time and money. They also found additional gas connections for other units in the complex that needed to be replaced due to corrosion, and they worked efficiently to replace them as well.
After all work was complete they provided excellent service to ensure all gas appliances were back on and working for each of the 9 units affected. We are very pleased with the service and have even engaged them for additional plumbing work in our complex. We will be using Good Guy Plumbing for all plumbing needs in our complex from now on!
