First off let me say, Phil is great! My shower was not working properly and called up Express last Friday at 1:30. Phill showed up no later than 4. He was quick to respond to the problem. Came back Tuesday to resolve the issue(would have came earlier but my work schedule was everywhere) and within an hour my shower was back up working. Sometimes you do need a man to do the job. Thanks Express for your honest work and fast service. I really appreciate your business!

STOP DONT DO IT !!!!!!!!!!We had Phil come out to fix the water heater he did such a good job we brought him out four more times to change, sinks toilets and fix leaks. We thought he was amazing he was our go to guy who we trusted so we call him out again for a leak in our wall and in the ground that we're not too sure where it's coming from thinking that he would help us instead, he came in looked at the leek went out to the car told me he was gonna go to the shop and he would be back later never called never heard nothing from him and called him multiple times and sent text nothing so at this point my recommendation is zero stars not only is he unreliable and non-responsive he couldn't even give us the courtesy after all the times that we have had him out here to do work and paid him on time to say hey guys this job is too much for me right now I'm not gonna be able to do it. I have a lot on my plate nothing he just left and never came back. So sad we were so wrong about trusting this guy don't waist your time call some one else.

Thanks to Express Drain and Phil for the job he did in replacing my garbage disposal. He inspected the situation and explained why the disposal needed to replaced after many attempts to repair it myself. I was provided a decent quote and the replacement was an improvement and better quality product. I'm very satisfied with the new appliance and provided with a great warranty.

I highly recommend Express plumbing!! Phil is the best. Great customer service and more importantly a darn good plumber. We called express for a backed up drain and Phil came out diagnosed the problem and had that drain clear in no time. Did I mention he have us a complimentary camera inspection of our main drain pipe! Folks-Phil is the real deal! LIke the rest of the reviews-he explained what he was doing and why. Very professional, friendly, HONEST, VERY fair price, clean, respectful, everything you would hope for in any repairman. He called me back immediately after my initial call. Made time to come by the next day which I really appreciate. Turns out I had two leaks from my shower, not just one, that leaked into my living room. I am SO happy to have it all done in one day and get it over with. I was stressing all week worrying about it. I feel blessed to have been referred to Phil. I definitely recommend him and will use him again for other plumbing needs.

My wife had a accident by dropping a latex glove down the bathroom sink drain while cleaning. We tried to remove the sink trap to get it out with no luck. Called Phil and he was at our place the next day. He checked the drainage and advised us the water pressure pushed the glove down the main sewer line. He also advised the sink plumbing was rotted and leaking on the wood boards. He patched it up with new materials good as new. He didn't bill us to check for the glove. #1 in customer care!

We had a major problem with our toilette this morning and called a different company first. They came quick but broke their snake tool in our pipe. Since I was not in the bathroom with them while they tried to fix the clog, they blamed the broken snake piece on who ever must have serviced our building before them (we just purchased the building - which they knew).
In order to get the snake piece out of the pipe they said they would have to jack-hammer our floor open, cut that pipe open, remove the snake and than replace the pipe and the floor...$$$...!
At this point we felt a second opinion would be a good idea and called Express Drain and Plumbing.
Phil came right out and confirmed that a snake part was stuck in our pipe but he said it could not have been there previously without having given us problems before (past three month of owning the building). He confirmed our suspicion that the previous guys must have broken their snake while they tried to clear the pipe and were now trying to take us for a ride.

By the way Phil was able to get the snake piece out of the pipe by cutting a 6x6 inch square hole into our drywall and accessing the clogged pipe through there.
You can imagine our relief of not having to open up our whole floor!

We had several things in the house that needed a plumber but weren't emergencies - two running toilets, a dripping bathroom tub faucet, a dishwasher drain problem and a strange problem with our water heater. I looked around for a local plumber and found Express Drain and Plumbing on yelp. Phil came out the next day and diagnosed all the issues and gave us a price. We agreed and he proceeded to fix all of our plumbing problems. The water heater issue was under warranty and he called the company that we had bought it from and they sent him replacement parts and he came back a few days later to fix that. We were very happy with the service and sent him on his way. Little did we know that we'd see him much sooner than we thought. A leak developed upstairs and came through the ceiling downstairs. Luckily, we caught it early. We called Phil again and he came and cut a hole in my downstairs ceiling and told us the problem was with the upstairs toilet. He had to remove the toilet and replace and repair a pipe in the ceiling. His work was impeccable. I highly recommend Phil and Express Drain and Plumbing. Just don't watch him work - he doesn't like that.

Phil responded immediately to my estimate request on Yelp and came out the same day. His estimate was very close to another I had received but his professionalism spoke volumes. Phil and a co-worker replaced a gas line in the front of the home, carefully removing and reinstalling the grass in place. He explained the process and even lit the pilots on the furnace and water heater after he completed the job. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good plumber.

My toilet was clogged up. I gave Express plumbing a call and Phil came over and fixed it within an hour ( 3 hours before the superbowl!!)

We were on vacation enjoying ourselves having a wonderful time when we got a phone call from our neighbor that water was leaking in our house.
I called Phil at express plumbing and explained we were out of town and what was happening, he was there in minutes. He called me and kept me in touch with everything that was happening.
A pipe in our daughters bathroom broke and water was flooding upstairs and downstairs. Phil called a clean up crew immediately to start so we wouldn't get mold and more damage.
We got in touch with our insurance company and they even said our plumber acted fast and helped us from even more damage.

Update: Phil returned to complete/install the new drains, garbage disposal. He saw that the other contractor was seriously lagging in finishing the bathroom/kitchen remodel, so Phil installed our new shower heads, sink fixtures and installed our new dishwasher. He is so friendly and patient and such a hard worker.

I received great service from Phil at Express Drain & Plumbing. I had an old water softener that was at my home when I bought it, that had a burst leak at night and was flooding my back yard. I turned off the main line and called around in the morning and Phil was able to come out within a couple of hours.

He accessed the problem and I ended up having him remove it. He needed a few parts that he immediately went to get and returned promptly. He removed the old water softener and capped off the line right away. He even stayed around to make sure there were no leaks.

I would highly recommend Phill as he provided great service at a fair price.

Phil and his wife (family business) still running a tight ship. Service and care job one. Phil seems to take his passion with him everyday he goes to work... as I have an older home with iron pipe plumbing, I see him routinely. He is a professional and a guy that other plumbers call when they cannot get it done. This is the guy you want. He isn't the cheapest guy out there... but he IS the guy who will do it right the first time... certainly saving you from spending more money down the road for the same thing. He has never up-sold me or tried to charge me or sell me on anything beyond what I needed. His recommendations are always solid pragmatic and common sense solutions.
Ladies, you can trust him to take care of your plumbing issues at a fair price; no fear in being taken advantage or feeing intimated... he is a great dude with a passion for what he does. The plumber came the day after I called. Evaluated then gave me an estimate. He was on time and professional. I needed my gas pipe fixed due to corrosion and the gas company requested that we do so. Our water heater blew a few weeks ago. I called several plumbers. Phil from Express plumbing was definitely the most helpful. He wasn't able to come that day but explained how we could do something to at least have water to flush the toilets because the water heater was so old that we didn't have a shutoff valve and had to turn off the water at the main. He really worked with us and gave us an incredible price. We set an appointment with his wife who was also very pleasant to deal with. He was running a little late and called to inform us. When he arrived he did a great and thorough job. It's nice to know not every plumber is out there to screw you. We will definitely use Express plumbing again.

For months, we have had issues with water pressure--especially when the hot water was running. We were hesitant to call a plumber for fear of how expensive it would be. Then we found Phil. We were able to schedule a diagnostic appointment with him for the very next day, and he arrived promptly at the time of our appointment.

Within an hour, he was able to figure out exactly what the problem was and repair it. He communicated with me every step of the way, which I greatly appreciated. He was so knowledgeable and honest and seemed to genuinely care about making sure you understood what he was doing and why he was doing it. Now our water pressure is amazing, and everything is functioning perfectly!

Phil was very clean, professional, and respectful, and the service charge was extremely reasonable. Phil from Express Drain and Plumbing will definitely be the only plumber we ever go to! HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES!

We have had Phil come to our house and do small and big jobs, it can range from a huge clog, repiping or installing a water heater he knows his stuff. He is honest, trust worthy and gets the job done. He also cleans up and tries not to make a major mess , he will stay as long as he needs to make sure he leaves you with a working toilet if he has to. They are speedy and prices are not bad. We use Phil for commercial plumbing and he does a fantastic job.

Phil is the guy want to call when you want professional work done that you wont have to call someone back to fix in a couple years. He makes sure things are made to last and really goes above and beyond. Sometimes its a little funny how he can even overthink something and really make it outrageously durable. We appreciate that a lot in a commercial setting.

He is extremely easy to work with and a really nice guy in general. I am very happy to have found him as he can have a full conversation to strategize the best way to attack a situation for the best price while also securing longevity of the product.

Great for general calls as well for plumbing issues of old pipes like we have in our old building as well.

Just overall a great easy experience and we don't think you can go wrong with him.

Toilet flange and tub spout replacement. PROS: Phil did a great job. Trusting your contractor is very important. He was clean and professional. Had the right tools and skillset. CONS: I think I could have 30% less if i would have shopped around but he was here and I wanted it done. No fault of his but the commode I bought was missing the water reservoir bolts so I had to finish the job myself thus voiding any warranty of the work he did. I should have asked him to return and in turn he can guarantee the job 100% luckily I am pretty handy myself. None the less five stars for good professional work.

This is my first review for a plumber and is as good as it gets. I was in the middle of a remodel and needed same day service to unclog a bathtub drain. I called several plumbers who were unable to come out on such short notice. I had a leak in the garage. Phil came out right in the time frame that was discussed. He was thorough in explaining exactly where the leak was coming from and what my options were. He explained that if he couldn't solve the problem with Plan A that he would have to go to Plan B which involved breaking concrete and would be a huge time consuming, expensive job! He stated he was 90% sure he could fix the problem with Plan A. Sure enough he performed the job with the exact quote from the beginning! He even drove to 3 different stores to find a part he needed. Super Professional and extremely intelligent. I rely heavily on these Yelp reviews because I have had some untrustworthy people work on my house. This guy is genuinely honest and did a great job. I would recommend him to family and friends.

Rick again. I had to call Phil back because my drain was plugged again. Phil said that my previous cleaning was under warranty and unclogged the drain again, for free.

He also put a color camera into the pipe (also for free) to figure out what happened. It turned out to be a small twig that is causing all of the fuss. Phil pushed the camera all the way to the street and the rest of the line is clean. If it clogs again I may need to hydro jet but it's a comfort to know I don't have to dig up my slab. Thanks again Phil!

He was already booked all day Saturday but he made time to get there early and take care of the problem. He was in and out within about an hour. Very clean, neat and professional. All I can say is that Phil should have a cape and an S on his chest!! Not only did he find the and repair the leak under the house, but he discovered the reason for our continual problem leaks. Tried calling number listed here on yelp and his mail box is full and I am not able to leave a message. He may be the best plumber out there but if he cant erase messages so I can get a hold of him it does me no good. Very disappointed after reading all the great reviews. I was hoping to have a water heater replaced same day. I will continue my search for a plumber.

Update: My review was solely based on trying to get a hold of this company and in no way a reflection of their integrity as a plumbing contractor, I was not able to get in contact with them due to phone issues they were experiencing. From reading paste reviews I wish I could have gotten a hold of them when I needed them. It appears they are first class outfit! I will give them another try in the future as the need comes up!

Last night around 6:30pm we noticed a wet carpet near our bathroom - called the landlord and she got Express Plumbing out the next morning at 11am. The gentleman who came to inspect the bathroom quickly noticed water stains and mold under the sink which was causing the carpet to get drenched.
He had to bust a whole under the sink to find the source of the leak and it was determined that it was the UPSTAIRS NEIGHBORS kitchen sink. (I always hated those people, they have worlds heaviest foot...) So, he had to go upstairs tell them not to run their water so he could replace the pipe connecting between our apartments. Essentially their leak ruined our bathroom! Haha

He went to the store among the COVID pandemic, came back with supplies and quickly replaced the pipe and was on his way! He was properly wearing a mask and gloves the whole time he was here and was very friendly. The work that was done looks great and I'm sure will stop the awful leaks, but not my neighbors heavy foot!

We had a clog and decided to try this based on Yelp review and am sure glad I did. Phil is the BEST. He came out looked around and survey the situation and was able to find the best place to unclog the pipe from the outside. The previous guy that came only 3 months ago didn't even know about this and took out the toilet to unclog the drain.

Phil was able to unclog it in a matter of few mins, but instead of just taking off and saying it's done, he stayed and used the pipe camera to show me the cause of the clog, which turned out to be roots with no additional fee. He even used the snake to get rid of alot of the roots.

If you are looking for a knowledgeable honest plummer PHIL is your man!

I can't say enough good things about Phil, he fixed my toilet and sink that were backed up, did an under house inspection and provided pictures of an issue and didn't try to up sell me.
His rate was very fair for all the services provided and his work is second to none.

With a name like Insinkerator you think your garbage disposal can pretty much choke down anything. NOPE. Not the case. I mean seriously I expected to be able to but bones down that thing and have them chewed to shreds with that name. Boy was I wrong. Then you wake up to a wet floor. Your contractor told you hard wood floors in you kitchen would be a bad idea, you wouldn't listen though, You wanted them throughout the house. I mean seriously what could go wrong?

Well the insikerator went wrong that's what, now my pipes are all backed up and I can't use my kitchen sink. Then Bam! Phil to the rescue. Phil was at my house in less than 24 hours and cleared that mess right up and in a short time I might add. His prices were very reasonable and he let me know about some of the issues with using drain cleaner etc, which I obviously tried to no avail. If I ever get something stuck down one of my pipes again, you can bet I'm called Phil at Express Drain and Plumbing.

Shawn was wonderful. Extremely helpful and friendly. My gardener turned on the water while the bathroom water line was open. It flooded the area. Shawn offered to help clean it up when he got back. Super nice guy.

Phil was prompt, courteous and very professional. Our problem turned out to be a full day and a half job, and he didn't stop until it was done, and totally cleaned up (which was after dark!) His price was fair, and more importantly, I trusted everything he told us. I highly recommend him for any problems you have, and I'll definitely call him for any others we have!

Phil was a lifesaver when my water main broke. He came out, went under my house to inspect the damage, emerged a muddy mess, and gave me a rough idea of what happened, what needed to be done, and the cost.

After a couple hours, he returned to my house...this is important to me because he could have easily called, but he went the extra step to talk about this in person. He gave me a few options on what I could do. I decided what I wanted to do and he was able to start.

His crew was great. Nice and respectful of the house, dogs, and roommate. There were a couple of things I had on my wishlist to do (ie install a new garbage disposal) and when I asked him, he was very polite and up front about the work and additional cost. There were no surprises and no upsells. A few times he pointed something out that could be done if I wanted, like installing a water line for my fridge. He didn't pressure me, but told me if could be done if I wanted.

Phil is insane with his knowledge of this field. I felt like I was in school at times when I would ask a question and he would give me answers.

He will be my go to for anything plumbing related from now on.

at 5 pm I found out that the main line was backed up. Called 10 plumbers. No one returned my call, so I quickly made arrangements to have the dog boarded for the night. As I was driving to spend the night elsewhere, I got a call back from Phil at Express Drain & Plumbing. He made arrangements to come by the next day. He was able to snake and clear the main line, but also went around with a flashlight and looked under the house. There he found that the flange on the one toilet had broken and the toilet was emptying under the house! He called me out and showed me a pool under my house. Thank God he went around and looked! He came back the next day and took care of the toilet and I had him fix a bathroom faucet that 2 other plumbers had said they couldn't get under to fix (tight quarters). I was so impressed with Phil and his knowledge of plumbing that I took up his offer to replace the access pipe outside so that a larger snake or hydro jet could be used in the future. My main line will back up again due to the calcification in the pipes of this 1958 house. Two of my neighbors have since called Phil out for work. He is a very Honest, hard working guy. Definitely worth keeping. He is my new Plumbing guy for now on. Thank you Phil.

I contacted Express Drain and Plumbing and spoke with Phil. I knew that he was able to sense the urgency of my plumbing issues by how quickly he was able to accomodate my plumbing needs. Wow! Very fast response to my message!! After reading the great reviews, I had Phil do the plumbing under our kitchen sink. He was very kind, professional and was able to repair our issue. First time in years we have no leaks, no flood!

We had them come for an estimate and the gentlemen was very nice and helpful, however when he went to see what the issue was for our tub, he just fixed it and charged us (after asking what our other estimate we got was from another company) without asking if we wanted it fixed, we really just wanted the estimate. So we ended up getting charged a little less than what the first estimate was, which was way more than we wanted for what the issue was.

Nice people, just make sure you get the estimate before they invoice you.

Phil was recommended to me by a refrigerator repair person and I feel very lucky. I had him come out and change my galvanized shower pipes to copper, move the tub drain to the center, remove my toilet and cap off all plumbing in my bathroom to prepare for a remodel. My remodel is nearing completion and Phil will be coming back to install new valves, all the new hardware for my shower and sink and a new toilet in a couple of weeks. As long as he's in business and his service remains this good he will have a forever customer in me. Good man, good prices, good service.

My 82 yo mother had an issue with her shower, I called this place and got an appointment for the same day. 30 min prior, we received a phone call that technician, Paul, is on the way. He called me to update me and got an estimate, which was very reasonable. He called me when the work is done and sent me the bill to my email. I paid over the phone. Since i could not be there at my mother's place, everything was communicated to me by the phone. My mother is happy that her plumbing issue is corrected quickly. thanks to Paul for the job well done. very reliable and well run business.
