I've lived in my house for over 20 years and Coast is my number 1! Two great examples both happing during a Holiday:
1) Day after Christmas 2007- my kitchen sink was backed up and Coast arrived on time and got the job done asap.
2) On Easter Day 2022 noticed a clog in my shower and the toilet had overflowed, I cleaned up the best I could and made an appointment for the next day. Coast gave me the 8:30 am-9:30 am time slot. It was a successful call. What I truly appericate is the professionalism of the company, the price point, and the quick response.

If you are looking to get ripped off for a $145.00 service call, where nothing was done, then call these clowns. First you'll talk to Lucy, who will refuse to answer a simple yes/no question, then you will talk to Matt, who will lie to you on purpose to get you off the phone. My kitchen faucet needed to be replaced after ten years, and its mounting was loose. The first serviceman tightened a bolt on the old one, but later that day it came loose again, so it was back to the same problem. Do you have a warranty on your services? was the question, and Lucy gave me the runaround before I spoke to Matt, who refused to give a refund for services not rendered. (Yes, there is a warranty on their invoice.) He wanted to argue with me about why I wanted a refund, and told me he'd send someone else out to figure out the problem before deciding on giving me a refund or not. The next day Matt said he would have someone out between 3 and 6 p.m. to determine what needed to be done, so just before 6:00 I called wondering why no one had come, and of course Matt was conveniently unavailable by that time, and won't be back for another four days, as James told me by phone. Matt orchestrated this whole procedure, causing me great inconvenience, expecting me to accept his apologies for his horrible business blunder, however, my time is worth money just as anyone else's is. He forgot to SAVE the work in the computer was the lame excuse I was given for why I waited for nothing, but it is evident to me that he forgot on purpose, to cause me additional grief, knowing he would not be available later when I called again, or even available the next day. They wanted to argue with me when I simply asked for a refund for the tightened bolt that loosened later that same day. This is by definition what BAD BUSINESS is made of, and my review here is to alert the public about their incompetence. The one star was for the two plumbers they sent out that seemed competent, but I had the same experience that Christa D. did below when they actually made the problem worse. The second plumber broke a handle and had to replace it, taking additional time. I was required to call the bank for assistance here in getting my refund, so this has become an unnecessary hassle that would have been completely avoidable had Matt handled the business properly. It is OBVIOUS to me why Home Depot does not use this company anymore and I hope you don't either. Call someone else, please!! The BBB will be my next contact should this refund be a problem. Also, Matt forgot about the editing feature of this program. Matt's response to this complaint describes his character and should steer you away from selecting him from the numerous other PROFESSIONALS in the business. Having to call the bank to assure my refund and having to get a male involved in this ridiculous issue should not have been necessary had he handled himself appropriately. Please take from this response a sincere warning about this company and Matt's competence, about what to expect should you do business with them, and about the awful reputation this company is gaining by such transactions.

Our heater wouldn't turn on and our thermostat also wasn't working properly. James sent out a technician, Mike, who had serviced our air conditioner and is so knowledgeable!
Mike found a part on our heater that needed replacing and also installed a thermostat that our whole family ( including our non techy ones ) would understand how to use.
Mike fixed everything in one visit and just in time for the cold weather.

Normally I don't write reviews, but I felt it was necessary after terrific service. Coast Plumbing was represented well today; the technician Shane was very personable and did a great job. He was on time, professional, and explained all of the work he was doing. He was extremely helpful and did a fantastic work to get my drains unclogged. Thank you again to Shane and Coast Plumbing for continuing great service!

UPDATE:
Today, I had Coast come out to fix an angle stop and the were available around my schedule which is a huge help as a civil service employee. Also, the technician Kevin was on time and quick to fix the problem. He went out of his way to make sure he provided excellent customer service. Thank you!

I could not ha e had a better service experience than I did a week ago, when Carlos was sent to my home to check out a malfunctioning water heater that was still under full warranty.
He was early, polite, friendly, and professional. He quickly found the problem, and called the manufacturer and cleared the replacement with them himself! Then, we went to Home Depot to see what they were willing to do. Carlos hits another grand slam, and they agree to replace it at full price. Easiest warranty swap, ever! We were on a roll, so, as Carlos was being incredibly patient and cheerful, he added knowledgable and willing to share it, as we took a few minutes to gather other supplies to complete the work, and even explain to me the what, whys, and hows of everything. That was cool. So often, it's a dry, humorless and impatient specialist, but Carlos was cool the whole way. The work was then done quickly, and everything looked perfectly done, and worked great!. Martin was helpful, patient, and professional as well.
I could go on, but the huge takeaway here is that I had another company out the day before, and they ran me through the hard disaster sale for a ridiculous amount, and unwilling to even acknowledge that there could help from the manufacturer, she just kept saying, You want me to just start now?, I could start the work right now, and that brand was cheap, and what they sell at the shop is the best, even if much more expensive, all of it, well, except the old, Legally, I can't leave here without doing that work, because it's so dangerous if I leave without fixing that. All of which sounded like lies, and even though I didn't believe her, I didn't tell her that I knew, just let her dig, dig, and dig. Drove me crazy. Carlis was a straight shooter off the line, and his honesty was a welcome relief!
So, Thank You, Carlos and Martin, I truly appreciate everything!!! You guys have definitely earned my thanks as well as my future business!! Couldn't be happier!

I refuse to allow Coast to ever come to my home after this. I live in a fourplex. Coast was hired by my landlord to unclog my neighbor's pipes. Plumber Vince was sent out. He needed access to my garage to flush the pipe. On day 1, he forgot to turn off the water and left my open garage unattended. Water started poured out of the wall pipe into my garage. Boxes and furniture got wet, complete mess. Then as he flushed the pipe, his tool broke off inside. He returned 3wks later to cut into the foundation of my garage to fetch his tool. He didn't prep the area and even after advising several times it has to be wet cut to keep the dust minimal...he STILL DRY CUT! He didn't make any attempt to clean up after his 12hr day of cutting and cement work. Everything was covered in harmful silicate concrete dust. I called Coast to inquire how they are going to remedy the mess and pay for my property that he damaged. The office manager was rude, unwilling to help and basically didn't want anything to do with speaking to a woman about man stuff. This company is unwilling to take responsibility for their mistakes and the employees always act rude on site like they hate their job and they milk the clock for unnecessary hours. They've been in my home before for other jobs. One guy chipped away the glaze around my bathtub drain and now it's a ring of rust. Horrible.

Called for an estimate to get house repiped. Was given a arrival window of 2-5pm. At 4:25pm received a call that the estimator was on his way and coming from Downey (about 30 minute drive in traffic from me). Here it is 9pm and still no estimator. They just lost a major repipe job as well as a heat duct job.

I have used Coast since my first plumbing issue 20 years ago. They are always prompt, courteous, and effective. I attempted to use another heating and air conditioning company only once, because I had a flyer of theirs in my hand when an issue came up. They quoted me a suspiciously high amount to fix a faulty air conditioner. I had Coast come out and take a look. The guy was thorough in his problem tracking--to the point of climbing up into our attic on a fairly warm day. He discovered the issue and quoted me 10% of the competitors bid, and fixed the issue--once found--within minutes. COAST IS THE BEST!!! Look no further. Throw all other competitors flyers in the trash, as soon as you get them.

I've had Coat handle a fee different plumbing issues at my home. They re-installed a toilet that was not installed correctly after our home was re-piped. They also re-installed a toilet in our master bedroom that was not installed correctly when we bought our home a year and a half ago. Most recently, they came in to clean out some exit pipes that started to build up some debris and smell from normal use. They've been great, super responsive, getting guys in within 24 hours, and taking care of the issues the day they came in. Everyone who came in was very engaging, letting me know everything they were doing, did a great job cleaning up after they were done. I would definitely call them again for any plumbing need that I have.

Last night the bathtub water from upstairs was draining into the kitchen sink below. I thought it was going to be a disaster. I managed to stop the water. I had used Coast plumbing on two other occasions and had been very happy with them. So I immediately called them up. I left a message for them to call me as soon as possible in the morning. I called them as soon as I woke up and they had received my message. They said they would send someone out between nine and 12. A technician called me at nine and said he would be there in five minutes. My mom was visiting from out of town so I let her know he was on his way. She said he arrived on time and explained everything that he needed to do. He went straight to work and was very efficient.He left the area clean when the job was finished. She told me that she was very impressed with him. I would definitely recommend Coast plumbing.

I am completely satisfied with the service provided. They returned my call at 7.15am (!) after I called on the night before (around 6.30pm). They promised they would send their plumber between 9am and 12pm - and it was on time and he gave me a call when on the way. He found the problem within 5 minutes (the garbage disposer had to be replaced with a new one, after it had worked for 9-10 years, that's understandable). He had a spare one with him - so he replaced it right away. I am happy with the job. Thank you, guys! I can use my garbage disposer and the dishwasher again! Nothing is leaking any longer:)

I consider myself pretty tolerant of crap. In fact, crap seems to be thrown at me on a daily basis. Granted, it is usually metaphorical crap, and not literal crap, but still.

I am also not too bad at home repairs. I know how to replace a wax ring. I can change out an outlet. I have even ripped up linoleum and re-tiled bathroom floors.

However....24 hours before the MCAT, when my toilet was suddenly filled with...well...crap.....I pretty much lost it. Plunging didn't work, and I just needed someone else to deal with it.

Coast was awesome. I submitted a request online and they called me first thing Monday morning to set up an appointment. I was told a tech would be at my house between 11 and 3, and at 11:15 Josh showed up and did some magical plumbing stuff and gave me back my bathroom. He was also incredibly nice to my dog who tried to follow him home.

Coast serves all of Orange County (I live in San Clemente) and I will absolutely be calling them again should I ever encounter any more crap. The literal stuff, that is.

I honestly wish every home repair business held tight to bring their customers % integrity, honest concerns for your needs, priorities are to get you & your home back to your comfort of a healthy home, rather than how they can get your last penny from you... Especially knowing your in a crisis in so many ways.

I've been trusting my home in the care of Coast Plumbing, Heating & Air for years now. It's as if we were living in a small town, and your greeted with a huge smile, (a hug before Covid) and a good to see you again ( by name) as if your considered family.

That's why when it came time to have my A/C checked for our 1st summer heatwave was approaching. (I have a incurable Auto Immune disease. My body can't handle heat. If I'm exposed to it, I'll go out of remission, become very sick.) Coast is aware of this. But, I've been using them before my diagnosis.

I love all the Coast family, but I have a kinship with Mike, whose like a son to me.

I introduced my mom to Coast last year when her A/C cut out. Mike wasn't available, she was so worried.. But I explained, every technition would be % trustworthy & an expert! Very scared... My mom went with my recommendation. Called Coast & David came to her rescue. Now, my 83 year young momma wants to adopt David.

Back to me seeing that blessed MASKED Face of Mike's standing at the door. Due to my diagnosis, I'm unable to even be within 6 feet of anyone, let alone in my home. Mike was completely prepared. I explained my relief to see him. I needed my filters changed, and I'm physically unable. He looked puzzled. Then I also mentioned A/C check-up. He laughed.

As usual, Mike told me to go rest, he'll take care of everything. I didn't even have to worry about costs. I knew Mike, and Matt (Works in Office) would have my back!

Within a perfect timing Mike had finished, explained what he did, and I knew he did me right for it already was cooler in my home. Mike asked me if I was cool enough, he wanted to be sure all was well before he left. He needed to know I'd be Ok. And Yes, of course I was. Because of Mike, and Coast. My week would be nice & comfortable..

(Even when he washed down the A/C...he also washed the driveway down of the leaves & dirt to keep from getting into A/C unit.)

BTW, when I called Coast, and Matt answered, it was already later in day. I wasn't expecting them to be available on short notice, & it's during Covid, and... A non emergency call. But Matt said Mike said he'd be buy after his last appointment THAT DAY. I insisted I could wait a few days. But Matt & Mike weren't having it.. They wanted to take care of me, that day. .

A very far cry from DO IT RIGHT PLUMBING WHO DID IT ALL WRONG... But that's for their review.

This is about Coast... So, if you want to build a great, honest, (enough so, where I send them to care for my. Mom!) if you want to build a great bond with a priceless, expertise, company who stands by the saying, They Care, and Will Do All They Can To Help You with whatever you requesting help for.

Do yourself a huge favor. And save your time searching, and your pocket book from being depleted! On top of meeting some good old fashion people who remember what Service to their Customers is!

I have to pay my bill via phone. I've never had 1 second of concern with their billing!

I had a problem with the shutoff valve in our shower. It was old and was getting to the point where I wouldn't shut off properly without a lot of fussing with it. I called Coast Plumbing to see about getting a technician out to fix it. They scheduled it promply. Jacob arrived just as promised, was very professional and competent, and repaired the problem quickly. I was impressed with him and his work and will call Coast again when I have a plumbing problem. This is the second time I've used them and have been very happy with their technicians and with their work both times.

My AC unit went out in August during a pretty hot summer week. I called Coast Plumbing and they sent Dave who was able to quickly diagnose the problem and even had the part to fix it. He was also very courteous and explained what was wrong. He was smart and efficient, you could tell he knew what he was doing. I would recommend this company, I haven't received good customer service like this in a long time.

Had these guys out for an estimate. I wanted to move my AC unit because I wanted to add a laundry room upstairs when we are doing our remodel. The guys checked out everything, they asked really good questions, and I was prepared to spend $10k to make this adjustment in our house. They gave me a better idea, and cut that down by probably 90%. I felt these guys earned a 5 star review for their integrity, and willingness to be honest. Now I can spend that extra money on a much needed vacation after we are finished.

I have used Coast Plumbing successfully many times in past years. This episode started when a dishwasher repairman advised me to call on a plumber to repair the air gap. I phoned Coast Plumbing around noon, and David was able to arrive and solve the problem that afternoon. During the visit, he advised me that the emergency water shutoff valve (used to shut off water to the entire house) was stiff, old, and in danger of breaking when it would be required. He quoted a price to replace it with a simpler mechanism. We also discussed replacing my 21 year old water heater - symptoms of failure to watch for, etc. The next day, I phoned and David replaced the water heater and emergency valve that afternoon. More than the promptness, the quality of the work as well as parts is the reason for this review. I will rely on Coast Plumbing for my future plumbing needs.

The toilet was running was easily plugged and just not working right. We called Coast Plumbing who had previously installed the washer and dryer at the condo. The plumber was great. He took one look at the toilet and found the calcification and build up was causing havoc since the same toilet had serviced the condo since 1990 and said we could easily just replace the whole toilet. So we did. The new toilet works great, the old toilet was worn and mildewy smelling and all that funk is no longer in the bathroom. It works like a charm and we are back in business. I appreciate the no nonsense approach of this group and the work is impeccable. Thank you.

My sink was clogged. My friend that is a manager of an apartment complex recommended Coast Plumbing. It was about 6:30 pm and I went to Yelp to get a quote. They responded right away. I told them it wasn't an emergency and would call the next day. Early the next morning they called me to set an appointment. Vince showed up on time and did a great job. The next day, James called to see if I was happy with the service. I certainly was and will recommend them in the future!!

Coast Heating and Air were wonderful. Our water heater went out Friday night, they were at our house first thing Saturday morning. the entire team made our life perfect again, office was perfect, service team that came were quick and efficient. The price of our new water heater was affordable and less than we had anticipated. We used them years ago when we needed our last water heater. It was great to just see their sticker on the water heater, call them up and have them take care of replacing it. All I can say is they were wonderful.

I've used Coast for many, many YEARS - both residential and commercial. I grew up with the philosophy of when you find a good service provider you stick with them.

Coast has always been on-time, professional, and (more importantly) competitive and fair with its pricing.

I knew this day would come when I would need to replace my 43 year old toilet! The plumber, Edgar, was very nice as he explained why it was necessary to replace my toilet and he explained the costs to me. I was not in a position to leave to purchase a toilet from the local big box store because my car is too small to hold a toilet. I had already taken the day off work, so I asked Edgar to proceed and trusted him to select a good water saver toilet for me. The installation was very professional and clean. I am very happy!! I believe the price was very fair. I will use Coast Plumbing, Heating, and Air again!

I've used Coast Plumbing for various reasons over the last few years such as installing a kitchen faucet, fixing a water line leak, installing a new pressure regulator, etc., and I've never had a problem with any of their repairs although it's nice to always be provided with a written guarantee. However, just yesterday I noticed a previously repaired main water line leak that was still under warranty that had a pinhole leak. I called Coast and they sent out a technician with no questions asked within a few hours. The technician Steven was on time and explained the procedure to repair as he progressed. As it turned out the repair was a bit more involved and required 2 other technicians to assist, Kevin and Shane. All of them were professional and regular guys, easy to talk to as they worked, and stayed late to get the job done. Most importantly, no talk of any new charges as the repair was under warranty, and they stayed late to get the job done right. Steven, Kevin, and Shane obviously took pride in their work and are as asset to your firm. My family and I thank them for their hard work and dedication to restore water to our home.

We are preparing our house for sale and needed to have three faucets and an outdoor hose faucet replaced. We have used Coast Plumbing in the past for heater and pluming issues so when I called, I expected that it might be a week or so given how busy contractors are these days. But Mike was in the area and showed up 45 minutes later. He took care of all four items in a reasonable period of time given the difficulty in removing old rusted units. He was very nice, answered all our questions and made sure everything worked before asking for payment. We will certainly use Coast Plumbing at our new house when issues come up.

I own a home in Costa Mesa and a condo in Newport Beach so I have had many opportunities to call Coast Plumbing. My only regret is that I didn't discover them sooner. No job is too big or too small for them. They have replaced a complete HVAC system in my condo and kept my ancient furnace running until it finally died, and then installed a brand new unit. They have replaced two gas water heaters and cleaned out backed up main sewer lines and numerous smaller laundry, bath, and kitchen lines. Most recently they replaced a broken kitchen faucet and repaired (not replaced) a gate valve that was not allowing a dishwasher to fill.

They are always easy to get in touch with and can usually a get a technician out the same day. Every technician I have come in contact with has been very knowledgeable as well as cheerful and friendly. Some have been with company over 20 years and all speak very highly of Coast Plumbing as an employer--which speaks very highly of the company.

I can't speak highly enough of Coast Plumbing. I always recommend them to anyone who asks and I would not go to anyone else.

Thank God for Coast plumbing coming out to the rescue. I had tried to snake my shower that had backed up. In fact multiple drains were affected.
After trying on my own with the 25 foot snake several times, I had no luck but Dustin came out today and was able to do the job as the blockage was at 40 feet. All the drains are flowing now. It was a pleasure to have him over at the house. In talking to him, he was very knowledgeable, and he told me what steps he was going to take. He was able to clear it after using his second longer snake. I was so estatic once I heard the pooled water eventually drain. Like music to my ears. He also was nice enough to clean up the shower area afterwards. My wife called Coast Plumbing without any prior reference since we happened to see their van the other day in our neighborhood here in Irvine. Coast Plumbing definitely has my future business should the need arise. Their price is so cheap for clearing the drain and they even gave me a 30 day guarantee on top of it. Our toilet had been leaking a little and it wasn't a major disaster. I called casually today with no true emergency and they were able to come within 30mins. Edgar was honest, helpful and solved problems well. He removed our toilet to inspect further and saw the shotty work from a general contractor from a few years back. He gave us options and shared timing, cost, if guaranteed work etc. He was fast, efficient and clean. I got the correct phone number from Yelp and asked if I could get the Yelp discount. He suggested he talk to his boss and they gave it to us. I'm definitely impressed with the quality service we received and hopefully we don't need plumbing service again, but if I do we have Coast Plumbing in my phone.

Our HWH went out and the plumber we normally used for years had closed up shop. We found Coast on yelp and decided to give them a try. Man was I impressed, they were prompt, polite and fair (something that is sadly lacking these days). They determined that that while yes the HWH wasn't working it only needed to have the thermo coupler replaced. They quickly secured the part and we were back up and running for a fraction of the cost of a new HWH!!!

What better day than Mother's Day to be called by a tenant for plumbing problems? Had to scout several plumbing companies. Then finally ended with COAST. First time with them but had always wanted to find a good one. Jason arrived at the place as he said and although the job was not that hard his professional service to point out the problem and suggest a solution was awesome. He included a camera check on the drain and showed us where the problem was. Considering that it was Mothers Day/Sunday and he came in about an 1 1/2 hours plus the camera check the charge of $252 was reasonable. Good job Jason!

Sink was clogged and garbage disposal stopped working at the same time just last Friday. I called them and they came out that day. Very professional and quick to resolve issue. The staff members we have met are all friendly and professional. One (Luis) went above the call of duty to repair our toilet that needed a hard-to-find part. One (Mike) completed an expert installation of our new AC system. One (Derek) expertly installed a handicapped attachment for our shower, and on the way out the gate, discovered a leak in our outdoor water supply. He returned early the next morning to repair and replace pipes and faucet, with an expert new configuration. Our bathroom sink had been clogging for a couple of weeks. We tried everything you can think of to fix it and nothing. Countless gallons of Drano and nothing. I called Coast Plumbing at 6pm on a week night and their answering service took a message and first thing the following day I received a call from them. They gave me a two hour window for the plumber to show up. The plumber whose name I can't remember right now was professional, patient and efficient. Recently used Coast Plumbing to detect and fix a leak in our home. Overall, I would give them an Ok review, but wanted to post my thoughts and you be the judge.

Response time overall was good and the plumber was knowledgeable and courteous, keeping his work area clean. The leak was determined to be underneath our slab. Charged us $2400 to fix the leak, but it did not include restoring the tile, grout, or drywall. That was extra, but he recommended someone else to do that work. A week later (thankfully before we had restored the tile, etc.), I heard a leak again in the same area... I called them back (thinking that everything would be covered under the original agreement), but he said that this was another pipe (adjacent to the one he previously fixed), so it would be another $675 ... This was the case even those he said that it may have been likely that the pipe could have been impacted by the jackhammering performed during the prior fix. Well, we paid for it and the restoration as well. Everything appears fine now. One of the issues that did not resonate well with me was that on both visits the plumber mentioned (or tried to cross-sell) some sort of epoxy pipe coating that would prevent future leaks (but costs $10K!) ... on his second visit, his epoxy guy just happened to be in the area ... You know, we just don't need that kind of thing ... it just adds to the greasy car salesman feeling.

Ideally, what I would have like to see is that their plumber came out, quoted a more reasonable price (and explained how he arrived at the price ... ie. parts vs. labor, time to complete, etc.), then not charged us for the second leak repair (it wasn't there before he performed the work and it could have been caused by him during the original work), have the restoration included in the price (again, breaking that out), and then left the cross-sell piece out of it completely. That would have been a much-improved experience for us.

Would I use them again? I don't know, we'll have to see. If between now and then I find that I got ripped off on the price (thoughts anyone?), then I would have my answer ...

We have called Coast Plumbing a number of times for last minute needs. The most recent needs was for a dishwasher install that Home depot dropped off a dishwasher in my kitchen when they said they couldn't install it. I called two plumbers and the 1st said they wouldn't install the appliance just do the lines. I wanted a complete job so I called Coast Plumbing since they did a dishwasher install for me at a rental last year and I knew they had a large crew to be able to come same day. The install was done in a timely manner and we added on some other items as the shut off valves were leaking. Overall good job and for last minute needs I will call them again.

I had Coast Plumbing out again today. I called at 7 this morning and by 8:20 the plumber was here. Much to my delight, it was the same plumber as last time, Shane. He did such an outstanding job the last time he was here - I was so excited that he was the one to help me today. Once again Shane did a great job. Not only is he sweet and nice, he is very helpful.

If you ever need a plumber definitely call Coast and ask for Shane. I promise you won't be disappointed. Like I said before, I am very picky and would never take the time to write a review and give it five stars but because of how great Shane and Coast Plumbing is I just had to do it.

Coast Plumbing was fantastic! We had roots growing in our sewer line which Matthew cleared. I contacted the city regarding this and they requested a video showing the root intrusion. I called Coast Plumbing back requesting this and was told that when the line was cleared that there wasn't a video recording of this. I explained my dilemma with the city needing proof and Coast Plumbing came back out another day and recorded it free of charge. Had this company come out and detach a slab leak. Eureka! They figured out exactly where it was at. So instead of going thru our floor (concrete slab) they were able to reroute going thru the walls and ceiling. They were very meticulous about trying to be as neat and clean as they could be. One day job of repairs. Very nice, respectful, professional employees (wish I could remember the two employees names). We didn't get any other estimates so we cannot compare pricing. Luckily our home owners ins. covered almost all of it.

We had a leak in our garage that was coming from our 30+ year old water filtering system that was no longer working. We called Coast Plumbing 1st thing Tuesday morning and a tech arrived promptly later that same morning. We requested an estimate to disconnect the water filtering system and reconnect the main water line. After I approved the estimate, the tech disconnected the water filtering system and closed the mainline with copper pipe. The tech tested for leaks and hauled away the water filtering system. I also asked for an estimate on replacing the corroded hose bibs in the laundry room. The tech gave me an estimate and I approved it. He was not able to disconnect the cold water hose bib from the hose due to the corrosion and he had to leave to get additional parts and a replacement hose. He was back in less than an hour, completed the work and tested for leaks. All of the work was completed successfully and we now have new hose bibs with a 1/4 turn lever which is much easier to open and close.
The tech was prompt, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. We are very happy with the work that was done and will definitely use Coast Plumbing for any future plumbing repairs.

I called Coast Plumbing at 7:30am and asked for their soonest appointment explaining I had a medical procedure for the following day that I really needed my toilet to work today. All toilets, tubs, and showers were clogged. I told them I had the toilet already pulled off in the front bathroom and needed a 100 foot snake to clear the clog. They said they could do that for $75. and would be here between 1:00pm and 5:00pm. They did not show up until 5:45pm and the guy said he could not bring the machine in the house and the smaller one he had would not work to clear the drain and he could not do a roof top clearing either. i do not have a front yard clean out. I don;'t understand if I had explain this to the company in the morning when I first called why did they say they could do the job. Now I waited all day for a plumber that couldn't even do the job and because it was now past regular business hours I had to pay another plumber night time rates to come out and clear the drain. I would never use Coast Plumbing again and would not recommend this company to anyone.

Our kitchen sink was clogged and I called several different plumbing services. Couldn't get a simple price estimate over the phone from any of them. When one technician arrived he quoted $450 for a simple snake out ! (Typical prices range from $60-250 for this type of problem).

Coast Plumbing was courteous and informative. Gave a fixed price quote over the phone, their technician John arrived on time as scheduled and had the clog fixed within 20 minute. Final cost $79.

I called them to inspect weak toilets and a lofting odor.
Ended up needing to waterjet my clogged vents.
Upon water pressure down vents projected raw sewage and black water all over my house, both bathrooms ceilings, flooded my garage.
They are refusing responiblity for my destroyed contents.
The manager james is a real peach with customer service.
owner mcghee denies the water being black water category 3 sewage. he keeped repeating its just grey dishwater, no big deal.

Its comical this plumbing company.

I happily recommend Coast Plumbing, Heating & Air. I had a sink and shower drain backup. I called my regular plumber on a Friday at 11am asking if they could come out same day. I was told they couldn't get to me earlier than Monday afternoon. But they suggested calling Coast Plumbing. Coast said they would be out between 12 and 4pm. I received a call about 130pm stating they were on their way. Elias showed up about 2pm. He promptly diagnosed the problem, communicated the issue and cleared the drains. He took care to keep the work area clean with drop cloths and even cleaned and sanitized the work area after repairs. I just may have found a new go-to plumber. Thanks Coast.

My water heater gave out Friday night in the late evening. I was able to contact Coast Plumbing and they offered me emergency or next day service. I opted in to waiting for next day service and a plumber was at my home bright and early the next day. The plumber David was very knowledgeable and informative of what the issues were and explained them to my husband and I. After some trouble shooting and contacting my water heater manufacturer and finding out the parts needed were on backorder and could take awhile the only option left was to replace it. David replaced everything he needed too with the water heater and left everything in order and the way it should be. I was so thankful to him and coast plumbing for assisting me especially during the holiday weekend! I can honestly say I have never had such great well rounded customer service from the moment I first called to the completion of the work. Will definitely be using coast in the future.

Our shower wasn't draining properly and after attempts of trying to fix it ourselves, I finally called Coast Plumping. I have used them in the past for other plumbing issues and have always been happy with their results, speed with fixing the issues and especially their honesty. The day I called, I was able to get someone out the next day and they showed up during the timeframe they promised. 6:00 at night and I had hit a water pipe in the yard digging a hole for a plant. I called a couple of other companies and was told that it was too late to get the repair done this evening. Its 5 pm and Trent just left my house here in Laguna beach after successfully restoring my kitchen drain back to the usable sink we so love! Man you just don't know how much a working sink means to a kitchen and house until it is so backed up it is just full! Our pipes got backed up on a Friday night at 11:30pm. Coast was quick to respond to my emergency call for service and sent Edgar, who was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Dealing with plumbing issues is NEVER fun. We recently moved to a single family home and late Sunday night had a water leak. We previously lived in a condo association who constantly used Coast so I figured let me call them and see if they can help. I left a message Sunday night with the answering service. He evaluated the leak based on what I was explaining (T.W.O) and suggested they come in the morning since it would cost us double for an after hours Sunday call. As he was completing the work on the heater and draining excess water in my kitchen sink, he noticed that the drain was not clearing as fast as expected and checked my disposal unit. Unbeknownst to me, that unit was broken and there was actually a leak under the sink. Thankfully, Luis had a replacement unit and promptly changed it out as well for a very reasonable price. I am a happy repeat customer this evening. In the event of any future plumbing needs I will be calling Coast Plumbing for sure.

They set a reasonable time frame to come do the work, and actually arrived in the early part of that estimate. they called again when actually on their way as well. On arrival they gave us advice that saved us money and stress, by telling us to not to do one job now, as it would not be cost effective, and to wait until we were ready to do a planned bigger job. The second task we had called them to do on the same visit was done quickly, and with full explanation of what they were doing. Everyone we dealt with, including the person who took our original call, the technician who came to our house, and the owner, who followed up after the business to see if we were satisfied, were friendly and cautious. The fact that they told me not to do one job now impressed me enough that we concluded that their honesty earned them our trust for future jobs that may come up, including the planned bigger job.

We have used Coast Plumbing since 2004 in 2 different homes. They have always been courteous, timely and professional. Our last experience is indicative of their service. Leaky water heater, along with a load groaning noise in the evening. Emailed Coast the next morning about 6:00am. Received a call at 7:00am and Technician arrived at 9:00am. Water Heater installed and working by Noon! Pedro, the Technician, was timely and very professional. The cost was more than competitive with other companies or with even trying to purchase from a water heater from a hardware store and installing on my own. Will always call Coast first.

I've called Coast Plumbing for years because they've been around a long time and have always done great work. This time I needed two shower spouts removed due to hard water corrosion. I was worried because I had had our bathroom remodeled years ago and was concerned that the spout might have to be ripped out from the tile, cracking it and forcing me to hire out another contractor to replace the tile. John from Coast came out, got me the exact spout I needed and did the whole project in less than two hours. He did an outstanding job.

My mother was in her mid 90's when she had Coast install a new water heater in her home in Leisure World within the last couple of years. She has since died, and in trying to sell her house we found out the water heater was not permitted. When the company was called, was told it was up to the client to pull permits. What kind of plumbing company expects a mid 90 year old to pull permits. I am sure she wouldn't even know how to go about it! As one of the trustees who live in Northern CA, and have multi water heaters installed, I have never been told I have to pull my own permit!
The result of this, is we now have to get it up to code (which it wasn't), and besides paying for all the work to get it to code, get the permit, we need to pay penalties.

Coast Plumbing has great employees. Our tankless water heater stopped working. I called Coast Plumbing and spoke to Juan who really showed empathy for not having hot water in our home. Technician David Hernandez came within a few hours to diagnose the water heater and determined the heater was 14 years old and it would be best if we replaced it with a new one. We were very impressed with David's knowledge and he gave us every option to consider before we agreed to spend any money. David also helped us with prioritizing all of our plumbing future projects. David installed the new water heater in the same day and really positioned the pipes in the best place. It looks great and he did an AWESOME job. Outstanding experience with Coast Plumbing, Heating & Air. I am currently staying with family here in Huntington Beach. Jerry came out within the hour of making the appointment and replaced the hot/cold keys to our new washer. In turning off the water (to the house) to replace the hot/cold keys, Jerry also noticed the main line was rotting and replaced it too.
Jerry, gave a fair quote on both items and explained thoroughly his task, including giving me options. That made me feel very comfortable and confident as Jerry demonstrated his professional knowledge and skills with great honest work ethnics, which is much appreciated!

Coast Plumbing sent us an exemplary and caring Plumber, Jerry! I rate his overall work to be a (5+++)!!! Jerry displayed a naturally friendly disposition, was efficient, very professional, was thorough in explaining his task prior to starting his work, including giving me options and the estimates of each job task.

Our family is blessed that Coast Plumbing sent us Jerry because him seeing that our new dryer was gas, he took the time to educated us on how to turn on/off the gas line (just in case); and that was a saving grace!

Today, I called the General Manager, James, to have Jerry come out again to our home to check my gas line because since the new gas dryer was hooked up, I do smell gas. James responded YES and is sending Jerry out immediately. I confidently turned off the gas line and will wait for Jerry to inspect that line.

I was recommended Coast Plumbing by Coldwell Banker's Concierge Service as I am a real estate agent with them and was looking for a good plumber I can also recommend to my clients. We had them come out to fix a pinhole leak in a copper cold water pipe supplying my guest bathroom shower/sink. I had already cut away the drywall to expose the pipe and make the job easy as possible. Pipe needs to be cut in a couple places replaced with about 3 feet of new pipe and soldered/sweat back together. So the plumber, I believe he wrote his name down as Jim, called it a moderate job and quoted me $1180-1280!!! I sent him on his way and called another plumbing company who quoted me $205. I would not recommend this company to any family/friends/clients and will be advising my company of their poor referral.

Nothing like having your water heater break on Thanksgiving! Nevertheless, Coast Plumbing was there to save the day. I must admit, I did contact several other companies, but in the end the decision was an easy one. Coast provided a very clear price on the phone, was able to come out on the same day as I called them, and most importantly fixed my problem. If you want the best, you want to use Coast Plumbing.
I have to give a shout out to the technician Travis. He was knowledgeable, polite, and overall a great guy. He even helped me get reimbursed by my home warranty. If Travis is any indication as to the type of employees Coast Plumbing hires, then I can definitely say you are in good hands.

I've used quite a few plumbers over the years. No one had taken the time to explain AND show me what was contributing to my clogged drains in kitchen, toilets and showers. I was lucky enough to have Josh Davis come to my home. He took the time to get into the details of the issues of my main line. If my wife and I could give this company and the technician Josh 6 stars we would! We had several issues looked at by Josh about a month ago and he was clear and concise on the issues and what needed to be done. We scheduled him to come out and today he arrived early and started working immediately. He was at our residence for over 8 hours completing all the work all while staying professional, friendly and explaining everything in details to us.

He removed our old water softener, lines and installed new hardware, removed and installed a new water heater with piping, cut a hole in the wall to check our plumbing for a leak, installed new hardware for our washer, fixed two toilets, snaked 2 bathroom sinks and snaked the dryer vent. After doing all this work, he cleaned up all the mess and left everything immaculate! We would definitely recommend Josh and this company to anyone who is looking for plumbing needs. We found our new plumbing company!Josh said whenever we need him, he's just a call away. We definitely appreciate Josh and all this hard work today. Choose Coast and you will not be disappointed!

I give them one star for showing up when other service providers either cancelled or didn't show up at all. However, the technician that arrived, while polite, was absolutely unwilling to even entertain making an attempt to resolve or even improve an issue I was having with the A/C radiator coils freezing over and obstructing the airflow through the house. While the compressor that was installed was only 3 months old the technician insisted that he would only work on the problem if I agreed to gut the ENTIRE system and pay to have their company install everything from scratch. Duct work, new compressor, new heater/radiator, new coils, everything.

I was given a quote of between $15.5K and $17K.

My property is a very small house with an interior of just around one thousand square feet in the main building. (Which is the only area being cooled by the A/C.

I politely asked if he could at least try to make what ever improvements to the existing system he could think of that might either resolve or at perhaps reduce the frequency that the issue was occurring.

His response was a flat no with the reasoning that if he was unable to make a significant improvement that it would reflect poorly on the business and their reputation.

I told him I understood his concerns but that I was absolutely willing to accept the risk and reserve any judgment based on the outcome of the work. I knew it would only be an attempt. Just that I could not risk the expense based on so many other concurrent factors at the time. (COVID19 planning and so on).

He maintained his position and gave me the formal estimate.

My question remains... Why even bother to come to evaluate anyone's system that was not originally installed by their company in the first place? It would have saved everyone time and effort to simply state on the phone before coming that they only perform full installations and service their own work. I could understand that and then there would have been no time lost.

It leaves me with the second question of whether the reasoning behind the firm position was based on a perception that I could easily afford the work and that I was purely being frugal. Even if I were, I do not believe it is in anyone's business interest to provide NO options to a potential customer outside of the singular offer to gut and replace their entire heating and cooling system.

I'm sadly disappointed by the experience and must maintain that their reputation is absolutely in jeopardy based on their inflexible and somewhat exorbitant approach.

Again, the individual was very polite and seemed competent but I cannot accept an unwillingness to try, especially when I was more than willing to accept the risk and not hold him or the company accountable for outcomes that were beyond the scope of their work.

Our dual vanity sink in the master bedroom backed up. Reached out to another plumber and no one would come till next day. Called Coast and they quoted me $89 and would be out within a couple hours. The office called me prior to the plumber arriving and was within the window they stated. Jerry was very professional tackled the clog with his rooter machine and was done within 45 minutes. He was very clean with throw towels and even wiped down all the cabinets with cleaner when complete. Charged what they quoted for $89. I am in the construction industry and the level of communication, cleanliness, good attitude and sticking to their quote is next to none in the industry. I recommend Coast Plumbing on your future needs, I now have their number on speed dial.

First class company!! I am a member of Angie's List and always select the contractors from this website.
I received a call back to schedule the appointment (5 stars for calling back quickly and I loved that they called early!). I asked for a ballpark quote on what the installation of a new kitchen faucet. The receptionist handed my call over to someone in service and I described the faucet and the type of installation. The price was acceptable. Josh arrived promptly and looked at the faucet and the sink area. While I understand that over the phone quotes are not set in stone, the actual price differed from what I was quoted. He then had Matt (owner) call me. Very pleasant conversation and we settled on a price. Josh was quick, professional and so very pleasant to deal with! The job was completed in just over an hour, less than expected!

I have used Coast in the past and will continue to use them. In the service/construction industry it says a lot about an employer when an employee has been with them a long time. Josh has been with Coast for 5 years. He didn't try to upsell me on any other service and spoke highly of the company and the owner. A very nice reflection on Matt and Coast Plumbing.

I called Coast because I needed some outside drains snaked in order to prepare for the huge rainstorm predicted for tomorrow. KEVIN came out and investigated and determined that we needed heavy duty snaking as palm tree roots, sand and other debris was clogged up in the pipe leading to the street. He worked for 3 hours and cleared out everything! He tidied up before he left as well.

I would HIGHLY recommend Coast Plumbing Heating & Air for any of your plumbing needs. I almost always get same day service. They even came out on a Sunday to fix my garbage disposal!

My old water heater of 17 years finally gave out on me and I decided to give them a call. They were very professional on the phone and assisted with every question I had. They had a plumber come my to my house within 2 hours. Actually they came sooner than that. The plumber Jacob was a very polite and nice guy and told me what needed to be done and how much it was going to be. Got my new water heater done the same day. Coast Plumbing is our new go-to plumbing company! Our water heater went out and we were debating trying to fix it or replace it. Repairing our existing one seemed like an easy fix. Our current model was from Home Depot. Multiple companies said the ones they sell are hard to get parts for. We decided to replace it with a new American made water heater. If I could I won't even give it any star. The worst service ever. Scheduled a technician to come out for a leak detection. First of all, I was told he would be arriving between 8:30-9:30am. He didn't arrive till 10am. Anyway, he came in walk around the house back and forth using a tool that looks similar to a stethoscope for detection. And told me an hour had gone by so now he needed to charge me $150 per hour. So I agreed. Then he told me he needed to cut my dry wall. First cut was in the front bedroom and he couldn't fine the leak. Then told me it must be in the kitchen. So he cut another hole under the sink. After that I went out for lunch. When I came back from lunch he cut THREE holes in the hallway bathroom and still couldn't tell me where is the leak. After that he told me it must be in the master bedroom and he wanted to remove the toilet also. I got upset and told him to stop and end the job. He quoted me $3,200 if i still wants to continue and he going to find the leak and fix my house. The whole experience was a nightmare. Ended up with Five unfixed holes.

The next day I did call into the company and reflects the situation to the manager. Days later the manager call back and discarded the charge.

At the same day I got a referred from our neighbor. The technician came by late afternoon. He came with professional tools and in 20 minutes found the leak area. It was outside the house by the front living room. It took his team 2 hours to cut and replace. I paid $1000 for the job and five holes patches inside the house.

I really enjoyed my experience with this company. Shane was my plumber, and he was always respectful fun and upbeat. He was at my house the first time for roughly 12hrs, never complained, super cool guy.
Also, and this is very important to me, they cleaned up their mess!
Another thing which is UNHEARD of, there were a couple things we wanted done, which they said we don't need it done, the pipes you have here are fine!!
Lastly, Matt the owner called to make sure I was happy with their service.

This company blames the customer if they can not figure out the problem. Even when you give them a lot of repeat business with apartment buildings. They are not interested in giving an opinion of what went wrong on a job and how to avoid future mishaps & to educate tenants ~they simply want to show up and fix the problem and bill the customer (Landlord) without any further discussion about how a problem may have started, what caused it, and how to avoid it in the future~ even though they specialize in apartment business. It would help if the plumber would call and advise to these things up front, but they don't contact the Landlord~simply show up and fix the problem and send a bill leaving one to wonder what happened? After they do the job, they are irritated if you should call to ask what the problem was as if you have no right to know~you are only a service call to bill with no right to discuss their plumbing job. They simply declare you a problem and state that they no longer want to do busines w/you. There are too many other pleasant plumbing businesses to deal with that appreciate loyal customers that care about their plumbing in their properties. DO NOT USE THESE PLUMBERS! They will treat you like a number and not a person (particularly Matt who is responding to these postings) and drop you like a hot potato if they feel that you are not complying with their point-of-view on things! They don't like to be questioned! Your are simply supposed to shut your mouth and pay the bill! It's as if the plumbers themselves make a commission off the job as they do tend to overcharge for their services. Beware as the other postings are correct~they do tend to overcharge for reasonable and customary jobs and don't take it well if you say so! If you are a novice or have no idea how to deal with basic plumbing and/or code your lack of knowledge will cost you dearly w/these guys!! The owner and the management running the business are not nice people. Since they treat their customers so badly, one wonders how they treat their employees.. A good plumbing company is hard to find and this company doesn't fit the bill! I'm sure that they will respond to this posting looking for ways on how to minimize my troublesome experience with them, label me as difficult and re-write history to make themselves look good. Don't fall for it. That is what they do best.

I don't write a lot of reviews but I just wanted to thank Coast Plumbing for every time they have come to our house. The appointments are always timely and they are prompt. They probably aren't the cheapest company out there but they are reliable and the technicians they send out know their stuff.
David Hernandez recently came out to us to fix an issue with the heating system. It needed a part they didn't have in stock. He said it would be in on Friday and sure enough he came back out on Friday with the part and fixed everything.
Just one last thing I think worth mentioning - they don't try and sell you stuff you don't need

My hot water faucet in my master bath was clogged with debris. After trying to repair it myself multiple times, I threw in the towel and called Coast plumbing. They were here with in an hour. Travis was my plumber he was straight up with me and gave me several options. I chose to have him repair it and he had it done in an hour. Our downstairs toilet started to leak from the bottom of our tank and we couldn't figure out where the leak was coming from. So we called Coast Plumbing. They were able to send out a plumber within a hour. The plumber showed up and he was very clean looking in his uniform and very personable. I would highly recommend Derek W. He was very professional and was very knowledgeable about his job. He was able to identify the problem (the fill valve) and fix it accordingly. He was very neat and clean as he performed his tasks. Called last night/early morning because the cartridge in our moen shower was no longer functional resulted in water coming out like a full shower. Gentleman marked it as a emergency (to see if they could at least stop the shower until our apt maintenance came in) long story short here I am sitting at home 10am over 8 hours of water running. No call back from the company or the plumber. I understand there's other emergencies that happen outside of business hours. A call back should have been made so I can figure something else out.

EDIT: owner of the company contacted me regarding my issue. Very nice guy, I mentioned I do understand that some jobs take priority and people do make mistakes. Had a clog in my piping connected to my kitchen sink. Put out a request on Yelp to various companies late at night and got a response by the time I woke up. This was the best quote I received. Most companies require a phone call, but I got a quote through Yelp and it was honored.

Thought we had a leak in the gas regulator to our stovetop. Coast Plumbing had a tech at our house within 20 minutes! Turned out the sound was coming from an electronic timer in the drawer above the regulator and nothing to do with the gas line! This was 4:30 on a Friday!
He refused to charge us for his trip and we both had a chuckle about my false alarm! Great people...Great company! Have used them several times all with great results!

Had a great experience with Coast Plumbing. I initially found water damage in my hallway baseboards, and called Coast Plumbing the next morning. They sent not one but two technicians that same morning to inspect my home and source the water leak. The second technician was there to confirm that there were no slab leaks. Once they determined the source of the leak was my toilet, they quickly worked with me to clean and replace it. I noticed the technician was very detail oriented and made sure the toilet was level to the floor and was propertly secured. I was so impressed I asked him to work on additional items I have been putting off as recommended from other plumbers, which included replacing my water regulator and replacing my other toilet. I am thankful that I was referred to Coast Plumbing by our friends and will happily recommend them to my other friends and family. Will be using them again in the near future to clean my drain pipes. Again excellent customer service, very knowledgeable, and awesome quality of work!

Having your water heater stop working Thanksgiving weekend is not ideal, but if it does, Coast Plumbing is the only company to call. They had a team at our house within a few hours of our phone call, checked on the water heater and then provided a quote for repair. We had received two other over the phone quotes and Coast was within dollars of one and lower than the other, but were the only ones who saw what needed to be done in person. Within a hour of them being at our house, the water heater was completely replaced and back up and running. The two plumbers were amazing, friendly, great attitude, knowledgeable and straight forward. Best plumber, wait, best contractor we have worked with in years.

I was very pleased with the service we received from Coast Plumbing. We called a competitor and was told no one was available until after hours and we would have to pay emergency rates. Since we had no hot water and didn't want to take another cold shower, we called Coast. Someone was at our door in 30 minutes! He got right to work and recognized the issue within a few minutes. I have been using Coast Plumbing for a few years. My sister recommended them to me. So when my mother had a water heater leak, there was no question as to who to call.

When I called, first thing Monday morning, I was told a technician could be at her between 10am and 2pm. Jacob Ruiz, the technician, arrived promptly at 10am. We looked at one another and realized he had helped me with jobs in the past.

Jacob installed a new a water heater and removed an old water softener all so efficiently and professionally and for a very fair price.

Coast Plumbing uses quality water heaters and parts, there technicians are friendly and competent, and there prices are fair. I highly recommend Jacob Ruiz!

I called Coast Plumbing on Monday, was offered an appointment on Tuesday and was scheduled for Wednesday at my request. I have had a Hansgrohe Talis C faucet since 2013 and through regular usage, a leak developed in the spray hose. I ordered two parts from Hansgrohe and preferred professional installation as the sink, garbage disposal, and faucet hose are in a tight space behind a large single sink. Jacob was professional and did a good job in completing installation of the new hand spray and spray hose. He made sure that there were no leaks from the newly installed parts. I chose Coast Plumbing because they mentioned Grohe as one of the faucets they install. This was my second time to use Coast Plumbing and I would use them again.

I've used Coast Plumbing many times, as our old plumbing seems to need annual attention. The drain clearing special is cheaper than all the others I've contacted and has a 30 day warranty (unlike the others). The technicians are friendly and professional. This year, our kitchen drain was cleared, but a day later, the washer overflowed again (it shares the pipeline with the kitchen). That was a first. Another technician came out (John) quickly and worked very diligently to get everything working again. Much appreciated. He recognized it was part of the original blockage, and worked under warrant. They have come to service our clean out, snake toilets, install newly remodeled bathroom sinks, install new kitchen sink and most recently, we had them out to replace an old toilet in our master bathroom. I just love how they run their business ...you call their main line and a friendly voice asks what you need and goes over all the specifics. From there, they either set an appointment for you or they send someone out asap! They are very upfront with pricing and any questions you may have. Had called them over a year or so ago regarding a problem with our heater thermostat and received excellent service.
When our furnace failed to come on this week I called them again in a panic because of the coming storm.
They confirmed my info and sent a tech to me within 45 minutes. David checked it out, diagnosed the problem, had the necessary part on his truck and replaced it quickly at a very fair price!

We've relied on Coast Plumbing, Heating & Air for the past 10 years. After a horrible air conditioning installation by another contractor, Coast came in. They fixed our air conditioning system and provided ample evidence that our initial contractor failed to meet legal standards. Jacob and his team came out to replace a Water Heater that has been giving us such a headache for a while now. Because I am the Real Estate Agent who manages this property, I have to communicate with both the tenant and Owner regarding everything to do with the plan and payment. At one point I three-wayed Jacob and the Owner so that Jacob could explain the situation better since I have no knowledge on plumbing issues. Jacob was so patient and accommodating the whole time where most would have gotten so frustrated. He gave us such honest and unbiased opinions and it helped everyone end on such a high note. His team was sent out by the manufacturer but his work and attitude was so delightful that I will definitely call him in the future for any plumbing services we may need. First off, I highly recommend watching YouTube videos to try and fix anything that isn't major when it comes to your toilets. It'll save you a ton of money, because these businesses charge an arm and a leg for labor. I tried and failed in this instance, so I brought in the pros.

Our toilet was constantly running (I'd always hear a hissing noise in the tank). I assume it was wasting a lot of water and likely increasing our water bill. I replaced the flapper and tried cleaning the fill valve, but that didn't fix it. Vince was in and out within 15 minutes. He replaced the fill valve entirely. This business was priced competitively compared to the others I reached out to. Friendly and timely customer service. Again, I'll try to do non-major work myself in the future, but I would consider this business again!

We were supposed to have a new washer and dryer installed but when the company came to do it they could not use our current hook ups so we called Coast Plumbing and they were able to come out the next afternoon. John analyzed the problem and determined the best and least expensive way to handle it for us. He did have to come back the next day with some supplies and finish up the new hook ups for a washer and dryer. Then the company we purchased the washer and dryer from came back and they were happy with the new hook ups and were able to install the washer and dryer. We may have been delayed a day or two but due to John we got it done more quickly than we anticipated. This is the third or fourth time I use them and I recommend them highly.

I have an old A/C system in my house but Coast Plumbing has been keeping it going over the years. Just recently it wouldn't turn on after the winter. I called Coast, they came out the same day. I was sure they would tell me I needed a new system. But instead they figured out that it was a simple broken wire that they fixed in an hour. We have been customers of Coast Plumbing for probably close to a decade thanks to the recommendation of a friend. Our house is close to 70 years old and even though there have been updates, things break. The joy of home ownership right? Every time we have found the need to contact Coast for plumbing or HVAC issues they have been professional, on time, and detailed in explaining what needs to be done and the costs. Never once have we felt like their staff was padding the bill, unlike with other plumbers we used before finding Coast. So far they have snaked many a drain, replaced both of our water heaters, dealt with multiple leaks that were easy fixes, repaired our heater, fixed our HVAC, and finally replaced a tub faucet that was a few steps past last legs. The gentleman who came out yesterday gave us multiple options and was very open about how each would work. He even offered to attempt to repair the existing faucet if we were hoping to keep it for the vintage effect.

We tell everyone we know about Coast when they find they need plumbing/heating/air help, and will continue to do so!

Received several bids on a gas shut off valve replacement for an older wall heater. Mike from Coast Plumbing was by far the most timely and competent service to respond!

Mike of Coast Plumbing also helped with another heater that other HVAC professionals said was beyond repair. He crawled into a small hot dusty crawl space and got it working!

Don't let them fool you with their warranties. We were convinced 8 years ago to upsize to a 50 gallon hot water tank as it came with a 12 year warranty. NOT!! Their warranty is going to cost us $635 to get a new one as the current one broke. $240 for the difference in cost between 2005 and 2013, $275 for another installation, and another new valve at $120. Good deal for them. They told us that Bradford White was the best on the market, apparently not if we am writing this. I am in sales and I know if I have a customer that is unhappy, I would try to do whatever I could to make the customer happy, but obviously they do not care about customer service. The person they sent out, Kyle, likes to lie to make a better case for himself. He had to audacity to call his company and say I told him we were going to write a check and stop payment. Wrong!! We charge everything and pay one bill every month for convenience for everything. Guess if you are going to lie, you better get it right. We have water everywhere in the garage so we are going to let Allstate take it from here.
Not sure what the outcome is going to be yet, but I will update when I get any more information. PLEASE beware that warranties they give are not honored and after talking with the office manager, they really don't seem to care. I guess there are more of us out there they can take advantage of if we don't know what we are getting into.
It sucks right now as we have NO hot water to bathe or wash with and we
feel like being back in the 1800's boiling water for the tub. Have to wait until everything dries out before we can reinstall anything.

As a recent transplant to OC, we were referred to Coast Plumbing by a coworker and it was not a mistake! They were on time with the appointment which was the next morning after I called and were willing to mask and bootie up on my request. They were able to sort all 3 issues in under 2 hours including changing a shower cartridge, soldering in a new refrigerator valve and fixing a leaking toilet; including making a supply line. Most impressive was the shower valve which is unmarked with the brand but simply by how the valve felt while opening and closing he guessed it was a Simmons and turned out he was right! Professional and courteous. We will be using them again for future services needed.

I waited a day to write this review and I'm glad I did because we ended up having a second issue they needed to come for. This company is so helpful and they were able to come out the same day of my second plumbing issue! My husband and I bought a home and it is a fixer upper so we've been discovering issues daily. They first came to lol at our hot water heater and toilet. The great thing about them is you are given options for how to fix the problem with different pricing. It made sense to us to replace the hot water heater, making sure it was up to code, and toilet. Once we gave they okay, they were able to get the parts and begin, no waiting around! On the second day, the guy came to look at a valve under our kitchen sink because Home Depot refused to install our new dishwasher without getting it fixed. He identified the small issues needed to fix this and was done within an hour. I will be recommending this company to anyone looking for immediate and high quality service. I have called on Coast Plumbing several times, from simply unclogging a drain, to repiping around a slab leak. In all cases, everyone I interacted with, from the person answering the phone, to the technicians that came to my rescue, have been friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Their response time was usually within an hour, and they complete the job, including clean-up, in a very timely manner.

This company came and saved the day! Myself and the kids came home to a flooded garage- the water heater has busted and was all over the garage floor and leaking down the driveway. I called Coast and they sent out a tech right away. Travis was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to remove and replace us with a great new water heater and was super quick! Our extended family has used Coast Plumbing for over 30 years. They are the best! They do great work whether it is a major project for rebuilding a drainage line for your whole house, or something simple like a clean out.

Just this last week we needed a main sewer line clean out. I called them around noon and they showed up at 3:30 the same day. The price was better than any of those other plumbers that advertise on the radio. What a great service!

We have always used Coast Pluming and they are great! They communicate well about arrival. We recently needed to get a new toilet put in replaced since the previous owner didn't have the appropriate mounting device flange and it was leaking to the neighbors in the past. We knew our water heater was 12 years old, so replacing it before we went on vacation was a must! My husband called Coast Plumbing on Thursday morning at 9 am, hoping for a replacement in the next week or so. Coast said they would have a new water heater installed by 1:00 that same day. Sure enough, the installation specialist, Nate, showed up at 10, drained the old tank, took everything apart, ready for the delivery by Rico of the new water heater with all accessories included! They were efficient, respectful, and knowledgeable. They installed the new heater, hauled the old one away, and 45 minutes later we had hot water. These guys are great! We have an old house with weird plumbing and they were sensitive to that even though they had to come out twice to fix my problems. (It was my fault- I didn't want to be too aggressive with the repair unless necessary) Jacob came and was patient and diligent until the job was done and everything was fine even though he had to try different things and do a bunch of waiting around! Had a backed up bath tub on the weekend and Coast plumbing was available for emergency service, we paid ~$330 to have them snake the tub, and the water seemed to drain fine.

However, a few days later, it started backing up again. Called them out again because they have a 30 day warranty on the service, and I think their customer service department didn't let the technician know that this was a warranty service because he wanted to charge me for the service again. I told him it was within the 30 day warranty, he checked, confirmed, and started working on it. He told me most likely the clog went deeper after the first guy.

He snaked to ~17' and told me he couldn't get the clog. He quoted me $2400 for exploratory work to cut the dry wall and create a clean out. My jaw dropped. I said nah.

I called another plumber who snaked it in 5 minutes.

TLDR; I don't recommend Coast plumbing because they don't do a thorough job and tried to upsell me a $2400 job.

Update: James, the general manager, contacted me directly to apologize for my experience and noted that the second technician should have contacted the office to get another tech to run a longer snake.

He refunded me the ~330 emergency service and offered me a free tub drain in the future. I didn't expect any of this and was (my wife as well) pleasantly surprised. I'm updating the review to reflect the customer service. I know we had to leave a review to get a response but James didn't have to refund me or apologize so I could tell he was making an effort to keep me as a customer.

I tried to install a part in my water heater and of course it didn't work so I called Coast Plumbing and they were able to come within less than an hour. Vince Hamade did a great job fixing my water heater. I tried reaching a few different places before I contacted them and they were either more expensive or unable to come until later in the evening or next day. So I'll definitely contact them again in the future for all my plumbing and heating issues.

I had a clogged toilet. I requested a quote off yelp and got a response right away. Coast Plumbing quoted me a fair, reasonable price from the beginning. Not like some other companies that were quoting twice the amount but offering to do a price match. So...I feel the company is trustworthy. And I really liked Lou, our technician. I own a 4-plex in Huntington Beach and I've gone through a lot of plumbers before finding Coast. I've had pretty good experience with them and I use plumbers a LOT. Reading so many negative reviews makes me think some of these people have them confused with other companies with similar business names because I haven't had those experiences. The only issue I've had is their plumbers will not make a repair without authorization (which is a good thing), but if they can't reach me by phone to approve the repair, then they will leave and have to come out again- and this is really annoying. But their quality of work is always very good and I've never had to have them re-do anything. They are also pretty responsive to calls and can usually get out to my building within a few hours.

I dread calling plumbers, they promise a time
and are always late. They usually take longer
than their time estimates and they only clean
about one half their mess.
Coast Plumbing was different. I called about our
kitchen faucet which was leaking profusely.

It was an old faucet and I had doubts whether

requiring an unusually long shank, did a search and found an identical one.

VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS COMPANY! Woke up on Easter Sunday to 3 inches of water in my garage (water heater malfunction). Not only was one of their technicians (the very kind Jerry) here within an hour, but they were able to locate, and install, a new water heater (large, hard-to-find size) by end of business the next day. They even let me borrow their extension cord when we realized that the outlet for the water heater was a casualty of the flood! Will absolutely use them again.

We had a pipe break on a Sunday. Kevin was amazing. He was at our house within an hour. He performed the required repairs and stated that it would be cheaper to complete the repairs on Monday, not at the emergency Sunday rates. I was very impressed that he was concerned about our situation and our finances. Kevin returned on Monday and completed the non emergency repairs. I had used them before, but after this emergency I would not use anyone else. Kevin is amazing and took excellent care of my emergency. I would highly recommend this company.

Ours is an older home and most of the water lines are original. For several years we have been relying on Coast to free up our waste pipes of the occasional clogs. (We concluded that hiring them is more cost effective than replacing the pipes.)

But that means we need a service that is quick to respond, they know what to do when they get here, and they have the tools to get the job done.
I called in the morning, they were out here 3 hours later and they had water flowing within 30 minutes.

Like they have over the years, the tech suggested a power wash of the line. I figured it was overdue. The next morning they showed up (right on time) and within a hour of starting the wash, they were showing me a live video video feed of some pretty clean 50 year old pipes.
No rip-off here. Friendly, professional crew. No mess left behind. I'll be calling them again in the next year likely and it's nice to know they'll be around.

Vince, Shameful plumber

Called them to do a replacement job. I happened to ask them for some extra work. The plumber, Vince, gave a high quote so I declined. The plumber became unhappy and kept pushing for the extra job. I let Vince do the job at the end. It turned out to be a bigger mistake. The extra repair was wrong. The plumber replaced the wrong part because the diagnosis was wrong. The plumber wanted more money to fix it right. Very shameful person. I do not recommend this company.

We realized we did not have have hot water in the evening. We called Coast Plumbing at 8AM. By 9AM the team lead by Kevin (who was fantastic) was onsite. At 9:30 we had a new water heater delivered and had a check for water damage. By 1PM a new water heater was installed by Kevin and we had hot water. Everything was done efficiently, correctly and the workers were fantastic.

This is our 3rd time to call Coast Plumbing since moving into this home 2 years ago and have had equally great service each time. They do not quit until everything is totally fixed and working. A person answers your call and immediately puts you in touch with the team needed for the work. There is no being on hold or transferring to other phonelines. A great experience in a time of stress.

Really pleased with the effectiveness and professionalism of Jerry from Coast. We had to have a underground gas line replaced from the meter all the way to the back of the yard to our pool equipment. Really a tough job. Jerry came in with his team and knocked it out without jacking up the grass. It's like he waved a magic wand and the gas line was in. All the Coast guys had a very warm and happy attitude to boot!

If I could give them 10 stars I would. Called them this morning (Saturday) because our regular plumber would not come out until Monday, leaving with with a plugged kitchen sink the rest of the weekend. I called Coast Plumbing after reading all the fantastic reviews and James said he would send someone out between 11 Am-3 PM same day. At 11:42 Ray arrived and assessed the problem and got to work right away. Solved the problem of he plugged drain in a short time. He was very nice, did the work in short order and I must say very very reasonable. The will will our go to plumber going forward. Out with the old and in with the new great company.

Jason was very thorough and professional and explained everything needs to be done to remove two stubborn kitchen's faucets. They were old and rusted but he managed to remove them. I'm sorry to write a less than happy review. I've used Coast several times before and been very happy. Because I'd always felt they were fair, I determined they would be my plumber of choice for my fourplex. This morning I called with a leaking hose valve and after dealing with an abrupt scheduler who cut me off, I got a morning appointment. The plumber came and looked at the faucet's leak and said it could be complicated, that he couldn't tell if it needed a male or female part, maybe it was soldered together, etc., etc. He worked up a quote, said he had both a male and female part on his truck, and said it would be $242, or more if there were any complications. Since boat cleaners were using the water, he suggested we wait before he started. I was there when he went to start the work and I saw him return to his truck, less than 15 minutes later. He sat in his truck for another 20 minutes or so before he called to say he was done, which I interpreted as an effort to make me think he worked longer than he did. I appreciate that you pay for a plumber's knowledge, his time and the cost of the parts (which were copper). This just seems like an overcharge for what was a pretty simple job that took 10-15 minutes.

Recently our 10-year-old hot water tank stopped heating. I did some online research and thought that I could fix it myself with some hardware store parts. Due to my limited experience, I found I was wrong. I called Coast Plumbing, due to their excellent reviews on Yelp and they came to the rescue the same day. It turned out that the problem was more serious that I thought. The technician, Michael, was extremely knowledgeable. He evaluated all of the internal elements of the heater and tried to repair the heater but there were too many problems and parts needed to justify the repair of my old tank. Throughout the process Michael explained exactly what was wrong. I made the decision to buy a new water heater from Coast knowing I would have years of service from the new unit and natural gas savings too. Michael was able to have the new tank delivered the same day and he installed it at a very competitive price. I would like to commend Michael for his excellent skills and honesty. He is a very good person. I now know I have a plumbing company for life. I will not hesitate to call them on any other issues I might have. I had dropped a 3 oz plastic spray bottle down the toilet as it was flushing. To say the least it plugged up the toilet. I thought it would be impossible to get out as it probably was wedged sideways in the pipes. I got Coast referred to me by a friend and they came out the same day. It took awhile but they got it out, and the cost was very reasonable.

Back in 2018 I used this company when I was in a pinch with water coming thru the wall.
Here we are April 2 2022 (saturday) and we had a couple bridal shower going to take place at 4pm (again in another pinch) around 9:30 am the wife calls me out to the front of the house and yep you guessed it we had a pin hole leak coming up to the main to the elbow joint that was leaking. So I picked up the phone called Coast Plumbing spoke to James told him what was happening and that I needed someone to come out ASAP as this was an a emergency I Told him the situation and he reassured me he would get someone out to me, phone rings and James tells me that he will have someone to me within 30-40 minutes Derek shows up tells me what needs to be done how long it would take and knocked it out and was done before noon. This company are lifesavers. I would STRONGLY recommend them.

We've used Coast Plumbing for many years all with great, honest, reliable service. Over the course of probably 15 years, they've replace 2 water heaters and repaired 2 slab leaks. Their prices are very fair and they have consistently worked with us to get the price down, because obviously slab leaks can be very costly and God forbid you claim that on your home owners policy!!! Mercury, our provider would have cancelled us by now. Anyway yesterday our water heater went out . I called Coast and the lady said it had been replaced 1 year and 9 days ago. She said that the water heater or any parts would be replaced at no charge but labor was only covered for 1 yr. The plumber came out and he called the manager and because of our patronage through the years they charged us nothing!!! Not too many companies will operate with that kind of integrity so I Thank You from the bottom of my bank account. Coast Plumbing Is as good as a plumbing company gets!!!!

Our toilet started leaking during the night. Called Coast in morning. They sent someone out immediately. Leak had stopped but decided to replace the toilet. David said for us to get the toilet and to call when we had it and they would send some one out to install it. We got the toilet and called Coast. They send someone out the same day. Mike installed the toilet. Both Mike and David were very curious and careful not to damage anything. They cleaned up after the work was done and took away the old toilet and packaging from the new toilet. I will definitely call Coast again when I need a plumber.

A few months ago It was time to replace my water heater that I had purchased at Home Depot 24 years ago. But after going to both Home Depot and Lowe's I was disappointed because no one was very helpful there and they have a one size fits all installation price. Luckily, the installer of my old water heater wrote Coast Plumbing on it with a black marker so I gave them a call. They came out right away and I was quite surprised that they gave me an estimate that was less than Home Depot and Lowe's. After calling Coast Plumbing to schedule the work they were able to come out the same day, showed up at the scheduled time, and finished the work in just a few hours. I can highly recommend anyone looking to replace their water heater to get an estimate from Coast Plumbing.

Recently our kitchen drain was backing up so I had Coast Plumbing come out to take a look. Again they came out the same day I called, showed up at the scheduled time, finished the job quickly, and gave me a great price for the work. I will definitely use Coast Plumbing again the next time I have any drain issues in the future.

A company is only as good as the warranty it provides, and how well it responds when there is a problem. I recently had a problem after the initial router service was performed. The owner got involved and sent out a repair crew on a Saturday, at no charge, to correct the problem. My drain was clear in less than two hours after my call.

I have had 4 experiences with this company and will not go anywhere else. The plumbers are skilled and professional. They always respond quickly and price their work fairly. Last week Derek fixed a leaking washer valve and replaced my water heater. These guys are the best! We were having serious plumbing issues and knew that it was the original pipes in our walls (and ceilings) which were cracking after 25 years. They really should have lasted a lifetime however apparently there was a manufacturing defect. This affected our home, and homes up and down the street as well.

Our neighbors hired another company who came out to their house, and (I'm assuming) saw the nice homes and sent the price way up - even over the written estimate. Our neighbors told them to clean up their things and get out. They then called Coast Plumbing, and were extremely happy with their work, their prices and professionalism. When they were done, we set an appointment for them to do the same type of work on our house.

From the start, communication was friendly and professional. KEVIN (who supervised the job at our neighbor's next door) was amazing! He was honest, and really thought about how he would get to the pipes in the walls and ceilings. He wanted to do minimal damage to the walls, so planned very well. For example, it would have been much easier in one location to get to the pipes directly through our wainscoating, however, Kevin decided it would be better if he accessed the area from outside the house. He discussed his idea with me, and his reasoning for it... and he was right.

Really, I can't say enough about Kevin and Coast Plumbing.

Our service porch sink started leaking from a worn out nut. Coast came early the following day, evaluated the problem and suggested a number of options. The sink was fixed and the drainage lines were also cleared quickly that morning.

The technician was very friendly and helpful and explained what he was doing as he went along. Coast did a great job of getting our sink going again.

I am confident in the work done by Coast Plumbing. They respond quickly on the phone, they show up in a decent time window, they call when the plumber is on the way They will call me or my tenant, whichever is appropriate. Most recently Luis did an awesome job converting a vanity area from two sinks to one and said if I needed him to return and adjust the length of the p trap to complete the installation there would be no additional charge. Sure enough, it needed to be cut and he returned to do the work, quickly.

Coast is my go-to plumber! As others have also said--- They are always very quick to respond to messages and schedule you right away. Today (Saturday) I called for a main sewer line clean out. Within 1 hour of my call, Jeff was at my door (masked up) and got right to work. He got his equipment ready, went to work and when it was all done, he simply gave me my invoice which was for the flat fee I was quoted over the phone (and that Jeff restated when he arrived). He did not try to upsell me or make things sound worse than they are. Jeff was efficient, honest with me about the status of the clean out (distance and small amount of roots), and cleaned up so that you wouldn't even know he was here. If you can request a tech- Jeff is friendly, polite and did a great job!

Wow! Have used MANY plumbers over the years, and let me just say that I was BLOWN AWAY from the service with Coast, specifically with David H, and also, over the phone with Lucy.

They were VERY accommodating , kind and prompt! Lucy was great on the phone, and was able to work around my schedule, and acted fast! They work Saturdays, and provided a fantastic value (unlike others I have used that hit you for a premium rate on Saturdays)!

When it was time for my appointment, I received a courtesy call letting me know the Technician was on his way. This allowed me to not have to wait at home all day on a Saturday. Super convenient!

Upon arrival, David was very kind and professional, was able to help me and provide insight and clarity with both an A/C and plumbing problem I had. He cleared everything up. I was amazed at how fast he work, how kind he was, and how AFFORDABLE this company is with everything provided. I am honestly PUMPED to have found these guys! Made my weekend!

I have used Coast Plumbing for years and when it really counts to get your plumbing problem fixed right... call Coast. Currently I'm getting a ceramic tile shower replaced and we had a mysterious leak for years associated with this. So while the pipes were exposed I called Coast to get the new shower pipes and mixer valve set up.

John came over and this guy worked his buns off all day and was not going to leave until the project was done and water flowing.

John discovered the mystery leak was actually coming from the tub on the other side, and a simple application of silicone caulking was the cure. James the dispatcher/manager is great and seems to always squeeze me into the schedule.

On Sunday afternoon an outdoor pipe broke shooting large quantities of water to the sky. We have used Coast Plumbing for many years for our own home and our six rentals. The plumbers have always been very polite and helpful. Yesterday we phoned at 10AM for a water heater replacement and the plumbers came at 11;15. That was fast! And it was not even an emergency. They were very careful to move furniture and lay plastic sheets over the carpet before doing their work .The old water heater was left on the sidewalk for a very short time before being picked up. No neighbors were bothered.

Coast Plumbing has been our go to plumber for many many years! We have a 60-year old house, so we have lots of plumbing challenges large and small. From snaking drains, to replacing AC units, plumbing lines and water heaters, Coast does it all in a fast, efficient and affordable manner. Their technicians are always very friendly and proficient. We recently had a leak, during the Christmas holidays with a packed house, with our upstairs shower leaking through a downstairs bedroom ceiling. Coast came out immediately and solved the problem, with a much more affordable repair solution than initially anticipated. We can't recommend Coast enough. Try them - you won't be disappointed.

Beware! They are very dishonest and will take advantage of you! Especially if you are female. I was out of town working and my wife called them to fix a leak in our toilet. They came out and changed the supply line that you can buy at Home Depot for $6 bucks, but they charged her $256. Problem is it didn't fix the leak. She called them back they came the next day and found a hairline crack in the tank of the toilet. So they said we will send someone next week to fix it and it will be an additional $250 for labor plus cost of toilet. So we argued with them that it wouldn't be fair to pay an additional fee since they didn't fix it right the first time. So they agreed to install new toilet without charge since we already paid $256. Of course when they got there a week later he pulled the toilet up and told my wife there's a problem and I'll have to charge you $325 to fix it. Luckily I came home while he was there. I asked him to show me the problem. All of a sudden his story changed. He broke the part while removing old toilet. He immediately dropped his quote from $325 to only $50 to cover parts. I was so furious. Not so much the outrageous price and hassle but the fact the he was taking advantage of my wife!!!

I was hoping to replace my kitchen faucet but quickly realized that it was not going to be as simple as I thought. I called Coast on a Saturday morning and Tommy came out a little later and ended up doing the work to replace some stuck shut-off valves, re-configure the piping under the sink that was problematic (which I knew already since I was the one who installed it that way) and then to finally install my new faucet. Within a couple of hours everything was done and looked and worked great. I have no hesitation in recommending Coast Plumbing, Heating and Air and specifically their plumber Tommy.

We have used coast for several problems and never had a complaint until we had a slab leak the worker fixed it after finding where the problem was in the slab.
That all went good until he said he found a gas leak where he cut the concrete under the water heater, and told my wife it's looking for a spark to ignite. So he started the fix the same day. He came the next day had to leave for an emergency job. In the meantime I called 3 other companies to give us a quote. All 3 quotes ranged from 1500.00 to 2200.00
Coast charged us 4700.00
All 3 companies said that is way over priced
You think so no kidding i said. 2 to 3 times more than they quoted me. My wife signed the contract we were stuck. I called and complained they took 600.00 off. Still 4100.00 one Plummer said the parts might be 200.00
My advice get more quotes on any job
Positive side the guy that has been at our house a few times was professional and did do good work.

We have always had such a positive experience with Coast and this last visit was no exception. The thermostat on our air conditioner/heater died this past Saturday morning - the weekend, mind you!

We immediately called Coast to schedule an appointment. With the impending heat streak, we felt extremely lucky to get an appointment for Monday morning between 9: and 12:.

A new thermostat was installed and because it needed a little more specialized programming, Dave was dispatched to do just that. We have a heat pump/air conditioner combination and it was quite involved so we were delighted that it all was up and running by late afternoon.

Coast's customer service is unparalleled and we'd never call any other company.

This was the first time I reached out to Coast Plumbing, Heating & Air. They were at the top of a Google (tm) search and I'd remembered seeing their trucks. The tech was on time, very professional, and informative. We determined the best course of action with their suggestions. Costs were give ahead of time.

They scoped the line to determine how to clear it and it was cleared quickly.

While determining what needed to be done, they gave suggestions for future work and (rough) estimate on that cost. We're in an old house with old plumbing.

I recommend them and will use them again if the needs arise.

We thought we had a leak from our upstairs tub but after David came and did a through inspection it was not. He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. It turned that the drywall tape used on our recent ceiling repair was loose and was hanging down(boy, do I feel stupid) I called at 2:00 and he was at our house at 3:00 as quoted. I wish I could give no stars. We only found this place because our neighbor has a work truck parked outside his house. Our garbage disposal crashed and thought it was an easy referral. Our mistake.
The initial phone call should have been a tip off. Lucy was so rude...as if I was bothering her with my service. I'm sorry do you have something else you need to do...? besides your job...? She rushed me through the information process, cut me off several times before telling me they would be there between 2-5 that day, couple hours from the call...then abruptly hung up on me. Maybe she was having a bad day? Tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, but she killed that thought with every other call. She failed to inform me that the appointment she was setting me up with was nothing more than a consultation. If that's what you want to call it. The plumber called me a little after 3, I had missed it...so called the # he left back...not his direct #...? so...yay a direct line back to Lucy. I told her why I was calling she cut me off, asked for my address..abruptly told me they were calling to say they were on their way and hung up on me. 5 minutes later the plumber calls again, starts off to tell me he is there...disconnecting some line or pipe for the kitchen. When I asked if he knocked to alert anyone he was there he said he had, and no one answered. I got ahold of my boyfriend who was there waiting about 2 minutes later to find out the plumber was just then pulling up...? He said he came in, LOOKED at the sink. Did nothing. said he would call the landlord then went to his truck. Never said what was wrong. Sat there for 30 minutes before he left. Thought maybe he was calling the landlord...but now an entire day later and he has yet to receive a call. DO you think we like not being able to use our kitchen? Cant cook because we cant do the dishes, the contents from under the sink out waiting for it to be fixed, meanwhile we have to eat fast food, and keep the animals cooped up. For not providing any service this was the worst service I have ever experienced.

We had contacted 2 other plumbing companies to try to get emergency help with a main line condo plumbing issue which was causing 4 units to backup into our unit which is on the main floor. Shane got back to us personally with the quickest time of arrival. He was friendly and professional and explained everything he was doing to fix the problem. I was very pleased with Coast Plumbing's service. They installed a 40-gallon water heater for me on January 11, 2022. Michael came out in the afternoon to give me an estimate to replace my vintage water heater. He quoted what I thought was a very fair price ($2,008) and began the installation right away. My house is constantly falling apart.
I also have an invisible SUCKER tattoo on my forehead that is visible to most service industry professionals, but the folks at Coast Plumbing have kindly ignored.

Since moving in, I've needed a plumber for various reasons about six times. The first was a very exciting fire-hose stream of water shooting into my kitchen. My new to-be neighbors suggest COAST, and they were wonderful.

I've only had one person come out who was less than impressive. The rest of the team, including the receptionists, have been nothing but stellar.

Coast Plumbing sent Kevin to attend to my plumbing re-configuration of pipes under my bathroom sink today. I couldn't be more pleased. He was so courteous and professional. He was able to re-configure my plumbing so if ever there is a back up the plumbers can now remove the trap under my sink to clear the pipe. I no longer need to go over to my neighbors to access through their bathroom (we share same main pipe in common area of condo wall). It was an inconvenience to both myself and neighbors. I was referred to Coast by a friend. We live pretty far away from Fountain Valley, but when I called Coast for an emergency they came the same day and they were very nice and professional. The price is fantastic and no time is wasted on the job. I will definitely call Coast if I need any plumbing help in the future.

Update: Had to have three toilets replaced this past month. The plumber this time wasn't as friendly and went upon his business on looking at the toilets. He left for 2-3 hours to go purchase toilets at home depot (home depot is 15 minutes away...), then came back and spent 3-4 hours on replacing two toilets. He had to come back the next day, was here for a half hour then had to leave to get a part he broke...which took another hour or two to go to home depot. When he got back, another hour passed and he was done. FINALLY. He did a good job, and was friendly enough, but to take that long for three cut and dry toilet replacements was kinda ridiculous and tied me down to staying home the whole time he shopped and did everything. It was a big pain, and if I had the choice, we'd have done the toilet replacements ourselves but we don't own the house.
We would probably still use Coast, but I was irked by the last experience.

Biggest waste of time. We were given an estimate of $6400 to fix a corroded valve by the water meter. The technician said he needed to dig up concrete. We called a different company for a second opinion and they fixed it for $200. Stay away from coast plumbing!!

Sat morning, no water in the house, checked everywhere, tried everything, couldn't figure out where did it go wrong. Luis, the plumber, really saved my day. He showed up as scheduled, explained everything clearly (it was the clogged old water softener), and fixed the problem. Hallelujah, hot water again! Coast Plumbing provided local, prompt, professional service and correctly diagnosed our water heater problem (more accurately than the manufacturer). I received a call letting me know the technician was on his way (on the early end of the appointment time frame). Had a outdoor pipe burst thanks to my dog's collar which got caught in it. Called coast plumbing since they had replaced my water heater a few years ago and did a great job. My experieance with this company has been less than terriblle. I believe I was overcharged for the services (by hundreds of dollars) - the fee I was charged was in the range of $375 per hour. I wrote to Jerry Herrington (a principal) on December 31, 2011, to complain about the overcharge and my letter was ignored; I then filed a complaint with the BBB on February 9, 2012, and as of today (March 7, 2012) they have continued to ignore this issue with no response. Save yourselves A LOT OF MONEY and find someone else to fix your slab leak.

i had bookmarked this place because of the good reviews. the time finally came to fix my small leaks, spare shower tub and diagnose my slow drain. travis came right on time and was super friendly. we looked at my issue and he gave me a quote right there. it was a reasonable price and he had time to do the repairs so we were able to do everything i needed done. we even gave me a suggestion on my leaky kitchen sink so i could ponder that for another time.

We have used Coast for the past 19 years. They originally installed our A/C and Furnace. And since then we have used them for simple drain issues to hydro jetting our sewer lines and clean outs. Just this week we used them for our Washing Machine drain and Laundry Sink. Thing is we called them this holiday week in the morning and they were out within a couple of hours. Always customer oriented and always fair pricing it's part of their culture. Why I keep calling them. Just a well operating company and that is difficult to find today!!!

Better pray nothing goes wrong if you choose this company. The manager James needs some lessons on customer service. I have never come across a manager with such poor customer service. He does not accept blame when his plumber makes a mistake. It started off fine with us calling Coast to re-install a sink and garbage disposal. The plumber said he could not warranty the work unless we put a new faucet and garbage disposal in. The original fixtures were less than 3 years old so since we wanted the work warranted , we went ahead and let them put in new fixtures so the work could be warranted. The kitchen was completely gutted and rebuilt due to water damage so we took all the precautions to assure this wouldn't happen again. We had a separate plumber install a new dishwasher too and within two weeks, we got a call from our tenant that there was a leak again, water got all over the place. We didn't know who was to blame so we called both plumbers to check their work. We gave simple instructions because of COVID everything was conducted over the phone. We told them to check their work to see if the problem was from their work or the other plumbers work. We told them if it was not their fault to let us know and we would have the other plumber take care of it. We never stepped into the property but had the tenant take pictures as each phase was completed. We were frustrated because there was some water staining under the sink cabinet and the cabinets were brand new. James was very accusatory from the moment I said hello. When a person talks in such a demeaning way, I choose not to have a further conversation with them and asked that he speak with my husband. I simply asked if it wasn't your fault, why did your second plumber correct the orientation of the garbage disposal and say the leak occurred because of a kink in the thick plastic tubing. The second Coast plumber said he could waive the $45 service fee but that I would have to take up any damages with the manager James. James called and had a long unpleasant conversation with my calm and reasonable husband. He ended by saying he did not like his spouse so he was not going to waive the $45 service charge because of his dis-like for his spouse.
We had the other plumber who installed the dishwasher call James to reason with him one professional to another and James proceeded to say if it wasn't his fault then maybe the customer (us ) called a third plumber who does this? Create an imaginary plumber to lay blame. The plumber from the other company also stated that James was not reasonable. He told him do you really want to go to small claims over this issue, his simple turning of the faulty installation is proof of that the work was done incorrectly. There is a dated photo of the installation. The service fee is not the issue here, the lack of professionalism and failure to stand behind your work is the issue. The company received good pay for work that they apparently had no intention of standing behind. Next step, the better business bureau.

Our home had an unusual leak inside our walls from condensation from our air conditioning system. We separately called a plumber and a leak detection company and both said they couldn't do anything because it was the HVAC system. We called an AC company and they said it was fine, charging a $100 service call. Given the vagueness of his explanation, we had our doubts. We saw a Coast Plumbing, Heating & Air truck and submitted an query Thursday night. They called 7 am the next morning and had some at the house at 10 am. Right away they noticed that the AC primary and secondary line were connected and drained thru one pipe in stead of separate pipes. This was the cause of our leak. They separated the lines, tested with water and air and our problem was solved. Had we known, we would have called them first. They are only one of 2 or 3 companies that do it all, plumbing, leak detection and HVAC work. No more pointing fingers, one source diagnosis and solution. Mike was on time, clean, explained everything as he proceeded and now we can sleep at night. Now we are working on restoring our home given the water damage caused by the leak. Mike has been with the company for 24 years, its good to have that time of professionalism, commitment and longevity today. We would use them again.

This was such a positive experience working with the plumber, Kevin. He and his co-worker cleared out area drains on our property. I am the manager for Beachwood Village Apartments and we had some serious drainage problems from the many pine trees here on our property. The prior estimate I got from another company wanted THREE times the rate. Kevin was so professional and courteous and they both did an excellent job. We had a slab leak! The first guy that came out was great and diagnosed the slab leak. They did not have a worker available till the next day to do the repair. That was a bummer, but understandable. The next day the worker arrived promptly as promised. Our main issue with this company is not with the work performed. It was with the guy who came to fix the leak. He was not very nice and said a few things that made me feel stupid for even asking a question. The worst part was that this worker felt like he could go anywhere in our house without even asking for permission. Every worker I have ever had in my house has asked to go upstairs, but not this guy. I had my wife and daughter upstairs and he just went up without asking or saying anything. Later my daughter told me he knocked on the door and then opened it without waiting for a response. No respect for our personal space. This company needs to give their workers a lesson in proper etiquette while they are in other people's homes.

Coast installed our water heater back in 2006. They did a fantastic job, so we naturally called Coast when the time finally came for a new water heater. I am glad to say that Coast maintains the same excellence of service over the years, and its charges are always reasonable and competitive.

We discovered leaks from the water heater on Sunday afternoon. Since our old water heater had served us good, we simply ordered a similar model from Home Depot online. We called Coast when the order was ready to pick up on Monday. The charges quoted were very reasonable, so I set up appointment right away. Nate, the technician, showed up within an hour. Nate was very thorough and paid attention to every detail to ensure that the water heater was installed properly and safely. Afterwards, he cleaned the surrounding area and hauled away the old unit.

We could not have been more satisfied with Coast's service and Nate's work. We highly recommend Coast for any plumbing needs.

I discovered a failing water heater about two weeks ago. I called Coast Plumbing because they installed my last water heater 17 years ago. Had I had time, they would have been to my home the same day to make the replacement! They did come the following day and Pedro did a great job of getting the old water heater out (it posed a problem since it was difficult to drain) and installing the new one. CALL ANYONE ELSE!!! If I could give this place a zero star rating I would! Long story short Coast came for a leak under the kitchen sink. The tech Chris was pissed off before he even came upstairs to look at the leak. He was suppose to call and give us a 30 min. warning that he was coming ( according to what receptionist Lucy said) and he didn't ,so he had to wait a whole 5 minutes! He came up stairs to my unit,and looked under the sink and said, it was a 10 minute fix. He said he would need to shut off the water in our building in order to fix it. He ALSO said, that the damage done to the neighbors unit below us was REALLY BAD...it would need a restoration company to remove wet drywall ,fans etc...AND it was going to be very expensive! I proceeded to go downstairs to talk with the neighbor about the damage. She told me it was nothing,just a little trickle and she put a trash can under it to catch the water. Chris was dishonest and wanted to take advantage of my landlord...sending out his buddies restoration company ...hoping for a payoff. This company either needs a new employee...ones that are pleasant, happy about their job,and not SCAMMERS!!! BTW he was here for under 40 minutes...the part was a small valve(cheap) that he unscrewed and put on the new one took 10 minutes, the rest of the time he talked to the4 neighbors saying he was turning off the water in the building.AND by the way while he was working on the leak he was on his cell phone bitching to his buddy about how what he was doing sucked....The cost was $196.00!!!! WOw $196.00 sucks??? I wrote the check for my landlord who is retired...I hope he takes him to small claims ...HE IS A ROBBER! I plan to bring this up at the next HOA MTG

AC stopped working Friday night during the heat wave. Call them Saturday and the person was polite. I had 5 other places and left voice messages with the other places. Coast answered my call and said someone can be there by 2-6pm. Typical response. When they arrived they were polite. They went up and diagnosed the unit.

My only issue was that they fixed the unit without telling me how much it would cost, what needed to be done and if I wanted to move forward with the repair. I am lucky it wasnt thousand of dollars in repair. The price was not bad for what we had done and it included the diagnostic so that might have been why they didnt talk with and knowing we needed the AC to work. Overall we had a great experience with them and when they left the AC was working great. Will use them again in the future.

My kitchen sink had a really bad clog. For two days, we tried Draino, Liquid Plumber, a lot of plunging and an over-night, expensive, guaranteed-to-work liquid drain clearer. Nothing worked. I found Coast Plumbing in the phone book and called them because of the low price listed to clear a drain. I didn't want them to change the price when they saw how bad it was, so I called to explain it. We still had the drain clearing liquid (lye) in the sink. They said, No problem, same price. They showed up right on time, fixed the clog, didn't over-charge. I will definitely call them again if I need a plumber.

This guy was a real piece of work. I was in serious need of a plumber since water was leaking out of my wall and the main valve not stopping the water flow. He did the job and charged more than double what I later found out to be 'the going rate' for that job. He lied to me about the job, telling it would take him 4hrs labor when it only took about 40minutes.
I talked to a few plumbers afterwards and told them the story, they were angry that there are people out there that give plumbers a bad name.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY, they are a RIP OFF and unethical. Cheating, lying and stealing is no way to make a business run when times are tough.

We called Coast yesterday afternoon and they were able to come this morning to take a look at an aluminum connector issue on our furnace which needed to be replaced before we could turn the gas back on for the season to heat our house. David was very professional and friendly and took time to answer our many questions and explain what needed to be done and why which we appreciated. We were charged a very reasonable price and the work was done quickly, efficiently and neatly. And David turned our gas pilot back on so now I don't have to wait to have So Cal Gas come to do that. My sink developed a leak on a Saturday afternoon and I could not stop the leak short of turning off all water to the house. I called three plumbers and left messages, but no response. I looked in the yellow pages and when I called Coast I talked to a live person and was told that a plumber would be at my house in 3 hours. Good enough, I thought. Surprisingly Eric arrived in one hour and made the necessary repairs.
I was very favorably impressed by his efficiency and neatness. Even though it was Saturday the charge was reasonable.
Just out of curiosity, after he was gone I went to Yelp to learn what others had said. I was totally surprised to read the negative reviews. It was as if they were writing about another company, not the one that responded to my emergency.
I will not hesitate to call Eric and Coast plumbing if I need them again.

Jeff from Coast Plumbing was professional, responsive, and informative. He gave me a free estimate on an A/C problem. He diagnosed the problem and demonstrated how the first repairman's diagnosis was flawed. Whereas the problem that I thought I had would have earned Jeff a job, he nonetheless told me the real problem, knowing that it was covered under my home warranty policy and would probably cost him a job. Such honesty deserves mention, and I will look to Jeff first if I ever have A/C issues in the future. You should too.

Before I called Coast, I read every review of their services to the customers. I was impressed with so many reviews indicating how honest this company was for the service rendered. We all know that there are so many companies that will razzle dazzle you and increase the price of a somewhat simple repair, or for that matter, any type of repair Our problem was a faucet or garbage disposal leak and we replaced the disposal 2 times. We thought for sure this was going to be another major financial disaster. Well, a Jerry showed up and within 5 minutes found the leak which was coming from the pullout sprayer from the faucet, which merely needed to be screwed on more tightly. That's it; nice and simple, and there was no charge. It's nearly impossible to find such honesty in any profession but, when you do, you never forget. Jerry could have told us that we needed to replace the hoses, garbage disposal and on and on, and we would have been at his mercy. Instead he was honest as a lot of reviews had stated about this company. Coast now has a new customer for life for any and all plumbing problems Verry, verry impressed.

I've used these guys many times, and it's always the same, they show up on time they do professional work and they are reputable. We are ever so thankful that Josh of Coast Plumbing,Heating, and Air Conditioning came to our home to fix a small leak in our polybutylene main water pipe. (Please Note: Many homes built in this area in the 70's through 90's have this kind of main water pipe.) Our old plumber and several others that came did NOT want to fix this leak at all. Absolutely amazing team of professionals! We suffered from completely clogged kitchen drain for days with no light at the end of the tunnel due to complex situation with HOA and lack of a cleanout. It was devastating and a complete nightmare until we found Coast Plumbing. Ray and Jacob came and went above and beyond in clearing a 40+ ft drain pipe with 6+ turns from a 2nd floor kitchen! About 9 years ago the hot water heater that came with the house blew up and leaked all over our garage. It was difficult to find someone to replace and install it because it was during Thanksgiving weekend. Coast plumbing was there to help us through it.

Fast forward to the present. The replacement GE water heater decides to take a dump. And we know that it is still under warranty through GE/Home depot. There was a little trouble at first trying to get GE/Home depot to agree since I had inadvertently shredded the original receipt but still had the service warranty paperwork.

We called the conveniently placed sticker on the tank and Coast plumbing was able to help us get the tank replaced based on the tank's serial number.

Jerry came out, took a look and said a technician would be right over the next morning. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to us, he was busy getting approval from GE so that we could get credit for the tank even though we did not have the original receipt. So that when we went in to Home Depot we waited only 20 minutes to get the credit approved and a new tank selected.

Our technician (plumber), Shane was very courteous and patient and explained everything that he would be doing. He and Alfonso helped return the bad tank and brought the new tank back for installation. Also he checked the water pressure from the main and made sure everything was running before he left.

The fittings provided were much heftier than the originals and were placed better than the first time.

Great job guys. Will consider you again when I'm ready to switch to a tankless heater.

He had to send a camera to retrieve an item. This was a major recovery. He is a miracle worker. He didn't give up. I had a problem with my bathtub not draining properly. After several attempts of trying to unclog it myself with a few friends, we were unsuccessful. We even went through the wall and unattached the piping to try to unclog it. After being unsuccessful again, a friend referred me to Coast Plumbing.
I started thinking it was a real serious problem in which I would not be able to do myself. I called for an appointment and was informed they would have a technician out within a few hours. Although I was not available that day we scheduled for a few days later.
James called me when the technician was on his way, and within 20 minutes he arrived. I explained what was going on and Jacob, the technician, informed me he would fix the problem and be on his way. I was thinking since I did all the small things a homeowner would try, I was expecting the worse and have bad news for me.
Well, I was wrong and my worst fears were over with having Coast Plumbing look at and fix my draining problem. I'm extremely satisfied with the work performed at a reasonable price. I will refer Coast Plumbing to anyone who asks me if I know of a honest and reasonable plumber. Most of the time I am able to fix it myself, but this time I just didn't have the proper tools for the job.

We have used Coast for multiple plumbing issues and have always been happy with the service quality and responsiveness. We have a home warranty and, especially if there's a leak, we don't even bother with the home warranty plumbers -- we know Coast will fix the issue right and fast. My rental property's garbage disposal was old and rusted through. While Yelping for a plumber, I thought I remembered using Coast before and gave them a call. I was able to get a day/time I wanted and they said the plumber would call 30 minutes prior to arrival.

The day of the appointment, Travis called 30 min. ahead, as promised and came well within the 3 hour time window. He also promptly called me with an estimate after looking at the disposal.

I recently telephoned Coast Plumbing, Heating & Air to repair a flush problem on our upstairs toilet. I obtained the Coast telephone number from an internet advertisement. Vince, the plumber, re-installed a new Flushmate device that I had received from the manufacturer after the old one conked out. Vince explained about this rather strange device. Flushmate is an unusual type of toilet tank, generally used only in large business buildings. It is a single, closed unit, installed in the toilet. It is designed so that people can't put anything else inside or fiddle with the parts as some people do, but that also means that one little thing goes wrong on the inside and you have to replace the whole thing. Vince told us what the options were & since we had already received the new one from the manufacturer, we had him replace it. I don't believe there is more than one person in 10,000 that knows about, or understands the intricacies of this device. (It was used almost exclusively, with wall mounted toilets, which unfortunately, is what we have.) Vince was very professional and efficient, while at the same time being personable and interesting to talk to. He also repaired an additional toilet, downstairs, that we were having problems with. We were relieved because we knew this was a free standing toilet. Coast Plumbing & Heating is now our first, last, and only choice. They are professional and knowledgeable, as well as being service oriented and that counts for a lot.

I called Coast Plumbing to have an estimate on taking out my old wall heater taken out and to shut off the gas. I didn't expect to have a them come within a couple of hours. The office called me to let me know how soon they would come, and when the worker came he said he could do the job that day.

The worker then, quietly and quickly took out the heater tied off the gas and carted the heater away. I didn't know if the price was comparable to other plumbers, but felt it was reasonable. This is the third time I've worked with Coast heating and have been very impressed with their service. I would gladly recommend them to my friends.

I called up Coast Plumbing yesterday for a continual leak in my Brea home 50 gallon water heater. Their Fountain Valley office made quick arrangements to have service on site this morning, 8:30am. Vince showed up alone to inspect my problem, but he had other technicians supplying parts and supporting him later. I am truly satisfied with the work Vince gave to my problem. He was a cheerful guy and clearly understood I needed to replace my 16 year old water heater with a new one. I thought it might take a day or two for the work, but Vince removed my old tank and replaced it with a new one in just about 3 hours. He even upgraded my water system connections within the water heater cabinet. I sure loved that after 16 years of the old tank. And yes, Vince wore a mask due to the current virus problems. He was very respectful about everything, and never had a problem with being approached to any questions I had. I strongly recommend Coast as a company to contact and hire for the installation of a water heater tank.

My water heater stopped working on a Saturday, Coast sent Luis right away. He got the pilot lit, but my heater was older and needed replacing. It was too late to get a new one (the suppliers close early on Saturday) but Luis came on Monday at the time I requested. He did an amazing job installing the new water heater, so professional and cleaned up afterwards, making sure my water faucets were clear of air bubbles. I highly recommend Coast Plumbing in Fountain Valley, they have always done a great job for me, with hose bib's etc.

We couldn't be happier with the pricing, service and overall professionalism of this company. We called Coast Plumbing out to fix a slow drain. They quoted a flat rate price over the phone per drain line and that's the price they stuck with; no high pressure upselling or any other dishonest techniques we've encountered with other companies.

We ended up replacing our 20+ year old water heater that was struggling to remain hot in the same trip. Just took the technician one phone call and the new water heater was delivered and installed in a little over an hour at an extremely reasonable price.

I own a small 8 unit apt. bldg in Long Beach. It was built in the early 60s and plumbing is one of my major problems. I've tried a number of plumbing companies and for the last 10 years I've stuck with Coast. I find them not cheap, but believe in you get what you pay for. Coast plumbers are fast, prompt and knowledgeable. Often they will seek out parts to repair, rather than replace a fixture. I have just had a wonderful experience with Nate from Coast Plumbing. He arrived on time. Was cheerful and kind. Did exactly what he said he would do for the price quoted and cleaned up the area afterward. I cannot recommend Coast Plumbing highly enough.
Nate was the exact opposite of the person who came out several weeks ago to clean a drain. He seemed to keep looking for bigger and bigger jobs to do, and he did this through scare tactics and not being honest. Nate was just the opposite. Nate was caring and made sure he did the job that needed to be done.
Coast has installed water heaters for the last 15 or 16 years for me - we have two water heaters in our home so they have been here a number of times, and have always stood behind their work. And, each one of those times the job was done well. I had never thought about them for other plumbing issues - silly me. Coast will take care of all of my plumbing needs.

We needed our new Toto toilet installed and we called Coast Plumbing because they've done previous projects for us in the past. Our technician Mike arrived on time and surveyed where the toilet was being placed and very carefully carried the new and old toilet up and down the stairs and finished the installation to our satisfaction. My hot water wasn't working so I called Coast Plumbing to come out and look at my water heater. Steven the technician was great - he arrived an hour and a half after I called and was able to diagnose the problem quickly. Turns out, my water heater needed to be replaced. I was quoted a fair price and within a couple of hours, the job was completed. I also really appreciated that he and his partner cared about keeping my home clean. He even took a towel and cleaned up the footprints he left on my floor. Attention to detail and good service goes a long way. I had called in a plumber to resolve a shower drain issue. The plumber was there no more than 20 minutes and quoted some exorbitant price and resolution. Called a secondary plumber but wouldn't be available till the following week. My parents had raved about Coast Plumbing so called them to resolve this issue. Not only were they available same day but they resolved the issue at a great and reasonable price. Even less than the first plumber. They were courteous and resolute. They tried first time to no avail but continued to pursue the problem with a different angle. It made me feel they were going to solve the issue without trying to extort me for more work than what was required. They will be my first call if need of service again.

I have a rental property that periodically has plumbing issues. Because I have a tenant in the house, I have to get plumbing problems handled immediately. I got a call on a Saturday evening that the shower cartridge had blown and the water had to be turned off. So, I called Coast and they came right out. They found the problem and fixed it immediately. They had the parts and called me to get approval. Everything was handled via phone including payment. They conveniently sent me an invoice for my records and handled payment on Monday which allowed me to enjoy my weekend. It wasn't cheap because it was after hours but it was worth it to have this handled so quickly. Thank you Coast, for great and swift service!

Coast Plumbing has been my go-to for plumbing needs for over fifteen years. I generally use them once a year to unclog a persistent kitchen drain that likes to back up every winter. Those who live in College Park Costa Mesa are familiar with plumbing issues; we're talking about homes that are nearly 60 years old.

This time I needed Coast Plumbing to install a new kitchen sink, which was going to require capping an extra drain and removal of the horrible under mount sink that has constantly leaked and been problematic, (well, almost constantly). Over the years I've had several different guys from Coast Plumbing come out on service calls, all of whom have been professional and know what they are doing, and always have the correct tools to do the job that day. More importantly, they keep the job site clean and contained.

This time my tech was Eric, and I have to say that he went over and above what was needed to get the kitchen sink installed. He had a tough time removing the old sink out, but was patient and diligent the entire time; whereas I'd be swearing like a sailor. Eric did a fantastic job installing the new sink. Eric also thought ahead while dealing with the now-spare drain, and converted the old secondary drain into an access point to use when the line backs up. It was very smart of Eric to rework the plumbing the way he did. I give Coast Plumbing a five star rating because they are always on the job the next day, are prompt with repairs, are very clean workers, and I feel their guys always take good care of me, I never feel overcharged for their services.

In the middle of 106 degree temps, my air conditioner quit working. I have my 82 year old mother-in-law at home with us. I called Coast, Mike Karjala came out on an emergency call. He was great, quickly troubleshooted a failed capacitor, then check the rest of the system. He arrived within 30 minutes of calling me and finished after 7pm. I called Coast Plumbing hoping a plumber would come out right away. I was given an approximate visit time between 3:00pm and 6:00pm which seemed typical. What wasn't typical was how quickly a plumber showed up. A very polite lady from their office called within 20 minutes to say someone was on their way!

Drain cleared, problem solved and definitely would call Coast Plumbing again for any plumbing issues. Great service, follow up and reasonable price too!

I gave these guys 3 stars, because they were clean, on time and the first visit was free. Once In the house he was able to determine that I needed to have my lines jetted. $295.00. The next day the other guys came to jet the lines, and they were amazed that the previous contractors/plumber didn't replace the lines that were backed up when the wall was open a few months before. Never the less, they couldn't jet the lines due to the 90 degree angles, so they snaked it from the roof. Well they still were not able to get the lines cleared. When asked what that would run me, they said $149.00. Even though there site says that drain, main cleaning is $75 dollars.

Nice guys, but not sure on the cost, and the bid to fix the additional issue was $500 dollars. I will see what other quotes i get and will update later. Still think I should get the website price.

Same day a kitchen drain plug happened someone came out. The previous plumber could only get the line 15' down, which was only a temp fix. This guy ran it almost to the curb. Best of all he told me a bacteria treatment that would minimize clogs going forward. This will take $75 out of their pocket on the next clog, but down the road, I will use them on my next project.

Highly recommend. We had an overflow issue and Mike came out within 40 minutes. Not only did he solve the problem, trying to find the best and most cost-effective solution, but he was calm and friendly the entire time. Gave us some great advice on our old toilets too. Also had Ray come out and give us quotes on replacing toilets and sink and he also gave us some great advice and fixed the main toilet in question on the spot. This company is not out to pull the wool over your eyes and charge loads of money for stuff you don't need. They genuinely care about creating long term loyalty, which they have now definitely earned from our entire family and friends!

I had a fabulous experience last week, after finding out about a leak at a family member's house. I called the office and Lucy was great, getting me set up. They gave me a 4 hour time frame, but I got a call about 15 minutes later saying my plumber was on the way. The plumber was quick, thorough, and solved all our issues! I even got a follow up call the next day, making sure I was happy and that everything was taken care of. I haven't had customer service like this in some time, and I very much appreciated it. At the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak but before strict rules were in place, I had need of a plumber for non-emergency services. I called after business hours and left a message indicating that, and first thing the next morning they called me and were able to schedule someone to come out that same day. I thought the quote for the services was fair and reasonable, and my professional, friendly and respectful plumber diagnosed the problems, went out and bought the parts needed for the repairs, installed them and cleaned up after himself. In addition, he showed me where to find my outside water shut-off, which was very helpful info to have.
I would call them again in a heartbeat, highly recommend.

Woke up to no hot water. After attempting to restart I knew it was time to call a pro.
I've used Coast Plumbing before (and they were good then) and that's why their refrigerator magnet stays on my refer door...
Same day service, called at 8am and a plumber was there at 9
Their plumbers showed up on time and explained the troubleshooting charges.
Once Ken (the plumber) found the issue he explained everything to me then told me what my options were including the cost and timeline.
He was articulate in explaining the charges so that there were no questions. When the job was completed, I was charged exactly what he laid out that the charges were going to be.
I ended up needing a new water heater. They had one brought to the site within a couple hours, while waiting, Ken disconnected and removed the old unit by himself.
When the new one arrived, it was up and operational within an hour and a half.
Ket tested and instructed me on operation and how to reset the piolet if ever needed. He explained the warranty and life expectancy of the new unit.
The job site was clean and free of any signs of the old units hardware.
Good job Ken and Good job Coast Plumbing on training your plumbers well.

Just had Coast out to fix my plugged up bathtub drain. Jack was an incredibly nice guy! Fixed the drain, got along with my 2 dogs and was really quick!

Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, was the phone call yesterday morning at 7:15 to set up an appointment!!!!! What business calls that early?!?! I found it *incredibly* rude and inappropriate.

I had called over the weekend due to a few minor issues; the office contacted me first thing on Monday to schedule someone for that morning. The technician arrived and promptly got to work, explaining what was needed to fix the toilet leak and noisy disposal. This is the first time I have called Coast Plumbing but it won't be my last time. I called on a Thursday afternoon for a plugged kitchen sink and they came out on Friday morning. Jake came and unplugged it quickly. Jake was very professional and respectful. He covered his work area and was prepared with a pail to catch any water from the trap. My air conditioning stopped working on a very hot summer day. I called a few other companies who gave me a several week wait time before they could come out. Coast was able to come over the same day I called. They gave me a pretty big time window but called about a half hour before they arrived. They were extremely professional and friendly. They were able to explain step by step what they were doing to fix the problem. They were able to fix the problem in a timely manner and I have my air conditioning back! We had Coast Plumbing replace a very corroded sink from our bathroom, which was starting to leak in the cabinet area below. We have used Coast Plumbing for numerous jobs and they have always provided excellent service. 'Michael' came for this appointment & evaluated the job & as promised, gave us a price estimate for the job before anything was started.
Work done was fast and efficient and I especially liked that all of the 'old sink' and debris were taken & disposed of by Michael & company.

We've used Coast for years to do a fall cleanout of our main line to the street as we've always had problems with roots growing into our 1959 clay drain pipes. This time both showers backed up completely so we had them hydrojet the whole system. They even had to go through a roof vent pipe to clear one drain. Steven and his partner were great to work with and very patient with fixing a rather complicated issue. We highly recommend Coast Plumbing. A+++

Coast put in our 100 gallon water heater six years ago, which works flawlessly. We had it flushed, and had to replace the pressure release valve last week.

We bought a new Rheem water heater nine months ago. It broke on seven different occasions. The most recent time, right when Rheem said they were going to give us a replacement heater (because we obviously had been given a lemon), a technician from Coast Plumbing said that the heater was servicing too many bathrooms, therefore Rheem canceled the warranty. This despite 12 to 15 other technicians being out there to service the heater other times and not mentioning this as a problem. Despite us having the exact same heater servicing the exact same size building directly next door with no problems at all (and that heater is over 5 years old). I don't blame Coast for us receiving a bad heater in the first place, but I do blame that technician for us having to purchase a brand new one (and the new company saying that 75 gallons should be fine and what they plan to install themselves with a new warranty).

I've been using Coast Plumbing since 2013, I have older pipes in my townhouse and they get backed up at least once every two years with hair and scum. The plumbers sent are cordial professiona and nice and they get the job done within an hour. Coast Plumbing is my go to for drain clogs and plumbing maintenance. Their price is usually $89 for a complete job. Recommend them.

There's nothing like enjoying a hot relaxing shower, that is until you realize that you are standing in 4 inches of water!

I wished I were in a hotel whre I I would simply call the front desk and ask to be moved to another room, but since I am not in a hotel, and I own the house ( and clogged drain) I accepted I had to find a plumber.

In my experience the word good and plumber have never really belonged next to each other....and I was not looking forward to the experience of finding someone to do the job.

I asked around and my neighbor said he had a good experience with a company called Coast Plumbing and gave me their contact information.

I called them last night around 6:00. A polite gentleman gave me a set price of $75.00 to clear a drain and quickly scheduled my appointment for the next morning.

Coast Plumbing shows that they respect their customers by giving them a 1 hour window for when the technician will arrive.

The technician Jason apprived on time and was both polite and professional.

He quickly cleared the drain and charged me the exact amount I had been quoted.

After completing the work Jason even cleaned the area where he was working leaving it in better condition than when he started!

I am very satisfied with Jason, Coast Plumbing and the work that was done. I plan to call them in the future for my home and rental homes.

The first company I called attempted to root my main sewer line, but said it was too bad to be rooted and needed to be hydrojeted at a cost of almost $1,000. I sent them away and called Coast. They showed up when promissed, used a much larger rooting unit and had no issues clearing the blockage. Took them less than an hour and completed for the fee quoted over the phone.

Our kitchen sink had been draining slowly and starting to back up with the dual sinks. We also had concerns about the same side of the house possibly clogging its main line. I called Coast and Edgar arrived a couple hours later.

He looked over the issue and recommended how to best clean out the sink line first. During the discussion I mentioned that the garb disposal didn't sound good and I was thinking of replacing it. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they carry disposals on the truck so I had Edgar change it out while clearing the sink. I prefer to purchase the items from the plumber because the quality is typically better than what's available from a big box store even on the same model.

He finished up by clearing the main on one side of the house as requested. Total time was about 2 hours for all the work and the response time was great since it was not an emergency. I've used Coast earlier this year for 2 toilet change outs and have always been pleased with their quality of work. Edgar did a great job and kept me informed throughout the job.

I would not hesitate calling them in the future.

Accidentally backed up the car into the main water line and broke the PVC piping. Called Coast Plumbing and they were at the house in less than an hour. The technician that showed up was named Jerry, and he's great. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. He answered any questions we had and was very through.
