The service was great only reason I'm giving 4 star is bc the price was lil high but I guess it is what it is. My kitchen sink wouldnt drain for like 3 hours so I figured it was clogged and need to be snaked out. I was right and now after 150$ later its good drains like a champ now but I seen ads for 70-100$ else where but I think most places were closed today I didn't feel like waiting so I paid the piper. Well worth it took like 30min and they were on time like promised can't complain about anything but the price. Great job guys thanksa lot

I'm sort of speechless. Juan and Miguel showed up as advertised, listened to my leaky-toilet situation quickly, and figured out WHY it was leaking all over the floor. It was a SIMPLE fix - which they figured out immediately. I was literally sitting in the bathtub - embarrassed I couldn't figure it out on my own. THEN they told ME how to fix it. NO CHARGE.

The free estimate thing was real. They were kind, professional, helpful, and...they actually didn't charge me because it was such an easy fix.

I've never had that happen before, but it shows me: 1) they have integrity and are interested in helping people as part of their profession and, 2) they know their stuff.

SO...I'll put these guys in my phone for the next time. And you should too. Thanks, Guys. I really appreciated your time and effort. While I hope I don't need a plumber - if I do, I'm calling you!

There's a reason Juan and Miguel have so many stars they are great! They came to our home quickly and checked out the situation with our tub it had been clogged for 2 days. After we tried unsuccessfully to unclog it ourselves. My friend recommended them to us as she was super happy with the work they had done for her. Juan climbed under the house and saw that the best way to unclog the tub was to go through our bathroom sink. Having a home from 1928 means that nothing is as easy as it may seem. They quickly set up shop under the sink and snaked out 5 years worth of hair out the pipes. Yuck!! What are ya gonna do me n the kid have long hair. They were quick, clean, professional and affordable. Plus they guarantee the work. They definitely earn the name A+++. Thanks for coming out and fixing my lovely old home. Highly recommended. ;0)

My shower was severely clogged and I tried to take matters into my own hands! Needless to say I used so much bleach I had to warn them that I wasn't trying to kill them! I called and they were at my house in less than two hours! They worked quickly and solved my problem right away! I'm even more happy that they take credit/debit cards so I didn't have to go to the bank! I'm thankful and they have a new customer for life! Thank you again!

We called in the morning and were able to get in-home estimate on our shower within an hour. Luckily Juan and Miguel had time to fix it after the estimate. Our shower problem was a little more difficult to deal with but they were able to handle it well. While running tests they found that something else was wrong and tackled it for us. We are very thankful for their help. They're professional, nice and did a great job!

I had a new sink installed as part of adding a new granite counter top. I called APlus plumbing to install the drain. The guys showed up on time, walked me through the options, and completed the work quickly. Very professional! I wish all the workman that walked through my door were so great! James came out to inspect a water leak in our crawlspace. He identified the problem and gave us recommendations on how to proceed with fixing the problem. Our original plumber who re-piped our supply lines used a PEX material, which failed. Because James does not usually work with these materials, he helped us identify the problem without charging us a diagnostic fee. James recommended using copper lines as the PEX and clamping mechanisms tend to fail more often than welded materials like copper. It's more expensive because it lasts much longer. If you want an honest plumber who knows the best solution with good results for many years to come- James is the guy to go to!

This is the second time I've used APlus for plumbing issues. Juan and Miguel once again resolved our problem with ease and efficiency. I was happy to see them waiting for me once I got home from work at 4:07p for my 4p-6 appointment window.

This time around we had a low pressure shower head and kitchen faucet, and needed our garbage disposal replaced. They quickly identified the issues, made recommendations, and completed their job with professionalism. I will use them again!

Called and they were there quickly. I had a clogged main sewer line. We had no clean out. They installed one quickly. Broke open concrete and placed clean out in about an hour while cleaning out clog in the process. I would recommend them and would use them again. Everything is flowing nicely and now we have a clean out which is accessible.

Had all the plumbing backed up in my house and I only have 1 bathroom! Started making phone calls around 7pm and two of the other plumbers on the top of the yelp list didn't answer the phone calls. Juan answered and agreed to be at my place between 8 and 9pm. He showed up at 8! He checked out the plumbing inside the house and in the crawl space and gave me his recommendations and price quotes. More expensive than I was expecting, but I haven't had to pay for professional plumbing service for many years. Unfortunately, I cannot do the better option, installing an exterior cleanout, due to current scheduling issues. So I decided to go with the power blast option from the roof vent? cleanout pipe?. Whatever. It wasn't looking good; the water wasn't going down. But I already know I have roots in the main sewer drain, so I wasn't surprised. A little patience was called for. Shortly thereafter, down went the nasty water in the tub. The toilet flushed without sending water back up the tub drain. I started a load of the dirty towels that had been mopping up water in the bathroom and no water came up the garage sink drain. All fixed! They were clear in their explanations, prompt in arriving, and cleaned up before they left. I definitely intend to save up a couple paychecks and have them come back out and put in that exterior cleanout and do some other minor plumbing repairs. Great guys and great service!

Our lower patio filled with water after three days of rain that then leaked into the carpet in our family room. We called APlus and they came the same day and found the problem: a clogged and broken original pipe on the side of the house. Their process of diagnosis was thorough and their estimate to replace the piping was reasonable. They came today -- two days after their first visit and dug a trench and replaced the piping. Juan explained everything and showed us what they were doing and why - each step of the way. Very impressed with their integrity and hard work. We got to see the pipe and the way everything was draining before they filled the dirt back in. Would definitely use them again. Highly recommend!

James and Juan both came out to give us an estimate . They were prompt and came as promised. I really hate it when craftspeople don't show up when promised. They gave me an estimate on the spot. We were going to get another estimate to repair the leak to our main water pipe but they were so responsive, we just called them back within a half hour and asked when they could come. They said 2 days and we said okay. They both came and completed the job as promised. They hand dug the trench to replace the line. No more wasted precious water!

My toilet would not flush, nor would my tub drain. Water actually started coming back out of it. I tried snaking the junk out and even using two plungers to force the blockage out, but to no avail (and 4 hours later) was I able to do so. So, it was time for me to call a professional in. Juan and Miguel came over to my home very promptly (called at 4:00 and they came at around 4:30 to 5:00 p.m.) and were very courteous and super nice. Miguel was very polite with his many Pleases and Thank Yous, which I greatly appreciated. They were at my home for two hours trying to find out the problem and fix it, but could not do so. We were trying to find the clean-out and I was able to locate it at around 7:00 p.m., but it was getting too late since the repair job included them digging out and putting in a new clean out. They came over the next morning and worked on the problem in the pouring rain. I was so appreciative that they were able to work on the problem, since I was going to call them back and just let them know to come over another day that was dry. But nope, they wanted to fix the problem since we only have one bathroom and my wife is 37 weeks pregnant. They took that into consideration and were determined to get the toilet flushing and the tub drained. Well, after replacing a pipe and adding a new clean-out pipe, they put their power-pressured water hose in and blasted the gunk away, cleaning out the pipes (they used a camera to show me that there was no blockage). Yay!!! We can now flush and take a shower without water coming back out of the drainage. Apparently, the build up was from using Kirkland flushable moist wipes, which are not really great for flushing. Thanks for Juan and Miguel from APlus Plumbing. My wife and I greatly appreciate your help. In the future if we need to use your services, you will definitely be the people we call.

I called Juan and Jose at 8:30 and they said they would be there between 9:00 and 11:00 to give me an estimate for my slow drain from my kitchen sink. They showed up at 9:45 and said that the backup was in the 2 inch line before the main line. He advised that I power flush the pipe from the clean out in the back of the house. He flushed the line in about 15 minutes and problem was solved. He told me that may have been 10 years worth of buildup of grease etc. They were very professional and I won't hesitate to use them again for future plumbing issues.

On time, honest, respectful of me and my home. I was pleasantly surprised when Juan and his assistant arrived exactly on time and went right to work, quickly identifying and fixing the issue. They then spent time, using a camera inserted into my sewer line, to show me the extent of the problem and offering several solutions. I've used James and his crew for everything from an emergency sewer repair (he stayed until midnight to make sure the job got done right!) to a kitchen sink inspection. My parents are very elderly and have been ripped off in the past. On Friday, a pipe on the outside of their house broke and water was streaming out. They were freaking out and called me to find a plumber, I went on yelp and saw the good reviews, I told them to call APlus Plumbing. My dad explained the problem and was told they would arrive between 12:00pm and 2:00pm, they were there at 12:20pm. My dad asked for a price and the price they quoted was the price he paid ( a very fair price). They will be using this company for any further plumbing problems.

I called for plumbing help for my kitchen sink that is backing up and regurgitating even if I use my garbage disposal. I told him that I had tried all the (DIY ) solutions I have researched but it did not work. Now I need their professional help and expertise.

Our water heater broke down on Friday night. We called James and he could come over on Saturday morning to have a look at it for no service fee! He came promptly at the agreed time. Fantastic service! They called back just a couple of hours after my message, and called again a couple of hours before the appointment itself to confirm. They arrived on time, finished in the amount of time they had estimated to install 2 toilets, and had extra parts with them when one of the valves was too tight, and the hose connection too short. Both Juan and Miguel made very effort to leave the areas looking neat and clean, and to make sure toilets were balanced, lids were on straight, etc. They also gave us advice about using the new low-flow toilets. All in all, a completely pleasant and hassle-free experience!

I had a great experience with APLUS Plumbing!

I noticed that there was some issue with the water pressure of my kitchen sink even after I got a new kitchen sink. However, Juan came to the rescue and found that even though it was new there was some build up inside and managed to fix it really quickly without shutting off the water or anything! It is clear that he has good knowledge and wouldn't try to get anything out of you but just provide true and honest service!

I had to write a review for this company! I report good and bad service because I think the people should know what to expect. What you can expect from A-Plus is just that, an A+ job. Juan was so nice, professional, informative, confident and efficient.

They were referred to me by a friend. It was a long day and they were the 3rd plumbing service to come out that day. Not only did they come out after 7pm but Juan was able to do in 20 minutes what the others could not accomplish from 9am up until the time he arrived.

The very next day my son did something else to the toilet and Juan came right back no questions asked. He was extremely professional and I truly appreciate the job well done!

I will definitely be using APlus for ALL of my plumbing needs. Did I mention that their prices are wonderful! If you need plumbing work done of any kind PLEASE do yourself a favor and call these guys!

VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE! THUMBS UP! I tried to work on my clogged shower for a few days and decided to call for help. My friend referred James to me. I called up Dr Plumbing and James was able to come in the same day. He showed up 10 minutes early. Initially, he tried to work on the shower and after 10 minutes, he realized the main problem might have come from the sink., He snaked out stuff 20 feet under the sink. Both the shower and sink got cleaned up! He even replaced a small part of the sink for me without charge. He stayed another 15 minutes after he finished to test out his work to ensure no further blockage. Overall comment: very professional and ethical, fees are reasonable and fixed everything thoroughly. I have referred Dr Plumbing to many friends and they thanked me for it. I will definitely call them for all my plumbing needs in the future.

We are returning customers of APlus Plumbing & let's say we won't be returning customers anymore. We used them a few months ago to unclog a pipe in our garage. An asian man came by same day we called and took care of the problem within 30 mins and charged us a good price for the work done. Yesterday was a whole new story. We needed a new Moen cartridge for our shower because it was loose and leaking constantly. Two latin men came to the house and we were told that they would do the job for the price of $375 just for the cartridge because he can't just get it at Home Depot or etc. but he would have to travel all the way to fremont and it's a really hard part to retrieve. That's not where it gets fishy.... Once they told us how much they were charging, they asked how we heard about them. When they found out we were returning customers, he all of a sudden tried to give us $75 off. I wasn't okay with the way he was handling the situation so I told my boyfriend to cancel and send him home. Once we told the man that we were going to look up estimates elsewhere, he all of a sudden had the cartridge (the one thats really really really hard to get & thats why we were being overcharged) outside in his van. Clearly we were being jipped and the man thought we wouldn't catch on but we did. So the joke is on him. We called another company that came by and replaced the cartridge for $119.

I'm a very satisfied customer after James came out to fix our clogged bathtub upstairs. The whole experience was very easy from booking our appointment through yelp, James communicated immediately via yelp messaging and came out exactly when promised! He was very fast and in less than 15 minutes had removed the nail from the bathtub drain trap. The nail got in there from when the home was constructed about a year ago and we only recently noticed that the tub wasn't draining when we had guests use the shower upstairs. I've called APLUS twice for services during the pandemic. First for a new water line to a refrigerator. Juan and Miguel came out on time with masks and shoe protectors to walk in the house. They identified where to run the line from our basement and clearly explained the plan to me and installed the water line. That was last summer the line is still good.
Recently we had a clogged drain for our toilet and shower. Again Juan and Miguel arrived the same day with masks. They assessed issue and had a commercial auger to clear the drain. This required removal of a toilet which also had a loose bolt which could cause issues like leaks. The loose bolt was repaired.
For both services Juan and Miguel were knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They followed safety as well for COVID 19. From my experience I recommend APLUS if you have plumbing work or an emergency.

I have used APLUS for the last several things I needed a plumber for (a clogged kitchen sink, a replacement toilet and a clogged shower) over the last few years. They have been timely, professional and genuinely nice. I had an issue this past weekend with the drain trip in my bathroom. It wouldn't let the water out. As it turns out the trip was stripped and it couldn't be replaced easily, they suggested just using a stopper that I could pick up from home depot rather than go through the expense of replacing the trip. Then, they didn't charge me for coming out. I can't even believe they came out and didn't try to sell me an expensive fix and then didn't even charge me for coming out. I am amazed and appreciative. I will definitely use them again and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a plumber.

Had leaking main water valve outside as well as one under the kitchen sink. James responded quickly to my request and was able to drop same day within a couple hours to assess the issues. Gave me a reasonable price compared to other plumbers. Called A-plus based on Yelp ratings and local location. We had a few sinks and a toilet that were not draining. James answered the call and told me he could be by in 30 minutes! He gave me a window of 2-4 and arrived in the middle, around 3.

He was very nice and asked about problem, took a look and told me what his proposed fix would cost and that it had a 50-50 shot of working. He snaked the toilet and the sink and both drain great now! We were on the lucky side of the 50% I guess. He even threw in a 60 day warranty and fixed another sink just for free for us on his way out. As he left I told him you are our new plumber

Called APlus Plumbing this morning and they were able to come out today and clear my main sewer line. James and his assistant worked on our line for a long time to try and clear heavy tree roots from the ceramic line. He ran the camera and when he still saw that there were roots, he ran the cutter again. This time the camera showed the line looked so much better. I appreciate that James did not just run the snake one time and leave the job. He stayed and made sure that he had taken care of the problem. He offered a reasonable quote to get the line replaced in the future with no pressure.

His assistant did a nice clean job and replaced the toilet. When they were gone, you would never know they had been here. Thank you for the fast and effective service.

Came out next day and not only repaired drain pipe but also taped up heating ducts apparently damaged by previous, substandard, plumber we had out a few years ago. My bathroom sink was leaking so I called them around 830am. They answered promptly and told me they would send somebody around 10-12. Eduardo Navorro showed up promptly around 10:10am! He took a look at it and let me know what the issue was and about how long it would take. He told me he had to go get a part in Newark ( I'm in Hayward) and was happy he returned very quickly. He took care of the bathroom and let me know my main water valve outside and the pipe needed a fix (which I knew). He took care of it and was very quick as well. Eduardo was very polite,friendly, and prompt with his work! They know what they are doing.

I had a backed up kitchen sink that I wasn't able to clear. I emptied the p-trap, but this was a job that needed more work than I was capable of.

I called APlus Plumbing today and they were able to come to the house the same day. They arrived early and ended up having to snake way further than I expected. Juan and Jose were a great team. My shower drain was clogged. Based on YELP reviews, I called APLUS and Juan and Miguel were able to come out the same day. Juan crawled under the house to check the pipes and discovered a substantial leak coming from my kitchen drain. Had them out to quote a drain replacement for our tub. They came the next day at the specified time window. The two techs were courteous and seemed knowledgeable. I explained the issue and they asked a few questions then wanted to get under the house to properly assess the issue. They inspected the drain and took pictures to show me so I didn't have to go in the crawl space. It was immediately obvious what was going on and they confirmed that the will need to be replaced. We are going to redo the bathroom in a month or so but I will have them do the work based on my experience and a reasonable estimate.

Aplus plumbing installed a new garbage disposal for me about a month ago. Took them 15 minutes to do. About a month later the garbage disposal was making a loud noise like something was stuck inside but when I checked nothing there. So I had to call Aplus to come take a look. They removed the unit and found their was a bone stuck in the blade which caused the blade to be loose. He installed a new garbage disposal for no charge. He mentioned to get a screen type of plugger for the sink so it will catch things like bones. I would recommend them to residents of hayward, fast and honest work! Great job APlus!

I called APLUS Plumbing not because they are the closest plumbing services in our area but because they have good reviews and when you read those reviews... you will have an impression that this company knows what SERVICE is all about. I knew that one of this days our water heater will shut down and needs to be replace and it did. Called APLUS to check my water heater and Juan & Jose came by the house and checked it. I just needed Juan to say it to validate my suspicion that its time to replace it. They did a great job on installing the new water heater and it was really fast. These guys knows what are they doing. Aside from the great service they did I am also particular for the after sales service. Called them again because it was leaking hot water from the top portion. Right after I picked up my son from school I already saw them parked infront of my garage. They fixed the leaking problem and and stayed a little bit in order to check if it was up and running. After getting out of the shower Sunday morning I discovered my bathroom and hall flooded. The shower was backing up through my toilet because of a clog. I looked up plumbers on google and called a couple of places before I got an answer from APlus. So happy that they were the ones who answered. Juan and his assistant showed up within a half hour of my phone call. There was a foul smell in our bathroom when there shouldnt be and I thought it was the p-trap dried out from a leak. Juan went under the house, had his assistant turn the water on at different places and crawled out in about 10 minutes. He said the plumbing is not the problem. You probably have an animal, most likely a mouse, die in the wall. I said thank you, how much do I owe. He said you owe nothing. You are my customer. Thank you Aplus Plumbing. We had a bad backup causing all of the tubs and toilets in our house to backup. Called APlus Plumbing and within a couple of hours Juan came out, on a Saturday, no less. Juan was able to fix the problem within 20 minutes. The culprit: old pipes,
likely corroded with age, causing toilet paper to slowly build up because the pipes are no longer smooth in the inside. Juan also gave me some helpful advice on a couple of other plumbing concerns, which have yet to become problems, that I've had on my mind. As I was talking to Juan before he left he said that although they are based in Hayward he's been getting calls from further out. I'm not surprised. The grade: A+.

Not sure how to evaluate their work. I asked to have my main water shutoff valve replaced because the old one stopped working. The two came on time, were polite and provided service at a reasonable cost. However, I question why they pieced the copper pipe into 4 or 5 pieces. I would think they could have used less joins; one on top of the valve and one below to the Water source. I hope we don't have future leaks...

Every homeowners' nightmare...clog main. Call multiple companies and APlus provided the fastest response time. Called 9:30am and crew arrived at 12:00pm. Juan and Jose were cordial and professional. Hydroblasted the line and voila. Juan and Jose wiped and cleaned every bit of mess that the clog made. All quotes provided before work and provided honest suggestion to my problem. Our toilet was backing up for 3 days and it started backing up into the tub and utility sink in the garage... nasty. My wife called APlus last Friday night, James showed up Saturday morning as promised. He checked things out, gave me a rough estimate, and advised Juan would be stopping by later.
Enter Juan. He promptly investigated the issue, including going into the crawl space, and suggested we install a clean-out for the backup issue as it would provide easy access in the future if it happened again. This involved digging up the ground in the front yard and to our surprise... broken sewer line! NO!!!!
Juan gave us all our options, but ultimately, the best one was to install a new ABS pipe to replace the old clay pipe that had broke (who knows how long) and the roots would not grow through the new pipe. Trenchless job he and his partner can take care of Sunday... no choice and we would have a piece of mind, not a piece of crap floating in the tub.
Although it hit us hard in the pocket, it could have been worse. Juan was upfront and honest, no messing around, and gave us a discount in the end to help soften the blow. No gouging, no nonsense, all business and professional. Juan and partner were very nice, went straight to work, and finished Sunday afternoon. They even cleaned up my driveway where all the dirt was and applied cement to the hole they had to open up. I would give them more stars if I could.

On January 25, 2020, I scheduled the plumbing company to come to our home in Fremont and change a bathroom faucet, the under sink valves and an air gap for the dishwasher in the kitchen. I had a leaking toilet The plumber came on the first day and said I had a leaking flush valve. He said it will cost more to replace it and I should just replace the whole toilet. Juan and Miguel just left and I had to jump on to write this review. Not only do you want honest assessment and great low prices (and a yelp coupon!) from a plumber, but you also want them to show up super fast (10 minutes since Juan lives nearby luckily for us) and also with just respectful and friendly vibes. Our 4 year old son was super excited when he saw them at our gate and he is not always so trusting (and neither is our 11 year old pup who stopped barking when they entered our home).

Juan was super thorough in finding out why our toilet, shower, sink and tub were all mutually stopped up and (yyyuuuuccckkk!) backing up, but he showed my husband a trick in another leaky toilet that another plumber said the only solution was to replace the whole toilet. Juan also explained a much more expensive, long term problem we have in our pipes - and when we have enough saved up, we will be sure to call on Juan.

But back to resolving our nasty plumbing issue that needed to be resolved today, they were done in less than 30 minutes with a competitive price. We knew we didn't have to call another company just to make sure we weren't getting jipped. He is also guaranteeing the work for 30 days which other companies couldn't offer for the flush they ran to get it all cleared up.

I had a plumbing issue on the Sunday before Christmas. My toilet and sink in the garage were very backed up. After calling a company that had previously done work for me and getting no reply after two hours, I looked on Yelp and took a chance on APlus Plumbing based on their reviews and location. They arrived within 30 mins. Juan cleared the toilet issue relatively quickly and went on to work on the garage sink. After trying to clear it with no luck, he crawled under the house and took a video with his cell phone of leaking pipes. He told me the main pipes were old, had a small diameter and needed replacement which I was aware of. We set up an appointment for the next day. He came earlier than his estimated time with Miquel his co-worker. They got right to work and replaced the pipe. They were very informative and courteous. They were done in under 3 hours. They showed me the pipes they had removed and they did indeed have a small diameter. He also showed me the problem pipe which he estimated to be about 60 years old and had two holes in it. In all, Juan and Miquel were prompt, professional and courteous and I would recommend them. I will be calling them for any future plumbing issues.

Use these guys! :) Juan and Miguel arrived right on time and were extremely polite, considerate, and truly knew their stuff!

I had a faucet with a stripped spline at my rental house and they gave me a written price quote right off the bat, and their price was very reasonable, so I elected to have all three faucet handles and cartridges replaced. They had the job done in no time flat and cleaned up everything when they were done, Juan even changed out a shower head that was leaking with one the tenant had bought as a replacement, for no charge!

I've experienced quite a few plumbers, but Juan and Miguel and Aplus are now my permanent go to plumbers! I have a short list of things like painters, electricians, hvac people, mechanics, etc who I find over time (Sometimes over a LOT of time, and frustration) who become the ONLY numbers I call for their expertise in their fields. I have an older home so when I went to install new low flow toilets the installer found that one toilet did not have a flang on the waste pipe to bolt the new toilet to. This meant there was no way to secure the new toilet to the waste pipe or floor. The installer did not do additional plumbing work.

I contacted APlus Plumbing and Juan stopped by to give me an estimate. 2 days later he was on the job. Installing a flang was not as straight forward as Juan had hoped. The waste pipe was not the size expected. Multiple trips to supply houses were required to find a flang that worked. The toilet is now securely in place. The best news was that the charge for this work was as estimated. No ups and no extras.

I had a great experience with APLUS Plumbing! Service was fast, Juan was friendly, and the pricing was affordable. Juan was at my house in under 30 minutes and the toilet was fixed in under 15 minutes.

My toilet was clogged after flushing some plastics and wrappers down the toilet. APLUS Plumbing was quick with their response and provided me with a well rounded explanation of how they would fix the toilet. Juan was realistic about what he could do and he was straight forward with the pricing before he started the job.

Snaking/Unclogging the toilet cost $165 and they don't charge you if they can't fix it. If they can't fix it, you'll have to purchase and install a new toilet. If you choose to purchase and install the toilet through APLUS Plumbing, they charge $550. This includes the toilet + labor. If you purchase your own toilet and have them install it, it'll cost $250.

I think it's at a pretty good price point, especially since many places charge you even when they're unable to fix the toilet.

All in all, this is an A PLUS service and a job well done.

We Called A-Plus plumbing since our indoor

Had a sewage line clog, affecting the bathroom, toilets and washer drain. Had to have it fixed and they were the first ones to say yes to multiple plumbers that I called. 3.5 hours later they came out, spent 15 minutes to snake at the 1st floor bathtub cleanout and charged $250. I had tried to use another plumber that I had do some work at my other house, but they were booked. That other plumber charged me $69 for 30 minutes of work. But, it's fixed and we can use the toilets and showers so that's why I'm giving them 4 stars. Just don't expect a cheap fix for a few minutes of work.

Had a leak from the toilet tank dripping onto the floor. Juan and Jose came by within the appointment time set. Juan was very straight forward about what he could and could not do and about cost. He installed a new float and sealed the drip. However the water was still running into the bowl. Although it was a separate problem he installed a flapper and then a second heavy duty flapper to try to stop the water, including the work in the original cost. What I thought was that is was obvious that he really cared to have solved the problem once he took the job.

Juan and Jose are AMAZING!!! We noticed our water heater leaking last night and could not turn off the cold water valve. We ended up turning off our main water line to the house because water was coming out from the bottom and our garage floor. Needless to say, I started searching for water heater service on yelp. I found this place and decided to call them at 8 am sharp. I must say, I think it was good timing because they came 20 min later. They went over the price and it was inexpensive! All in all, with them picking up the water heater, it took about 2 hours. They even helped us move our jet ski from the garage and were very kind to clean up any rusty water that fell on the floor. My shower drain was clogged at 7pm at night. I called APlus Plumbing because they are open until 10 and don't charge extra for evening service. Juan was here within 45 minutes. When we told him I found APlus on Yelp, he mentioned the $39 off coupon for yelp users and applied it to the quote. Within 10 minutes, I could hear the shower draining perfectly. To test they used our bathtub which has had a leak for 2 years. We asked them to use the shower for testing and instead, Juan looked at the leak and told us how we could fix it ourselves. He gave us an estimate on the spot if the leak continued. They did an excellent job, we couldn't be happier with their service and will be calling them again for any plumbing needs.

I was not sure if the issue we had was plumbing or irrigation. I called APLUS Plumbing and made an appointment for them to assess the situation, as I believe my family has used their services in the past. The problem ended up being irrigation and therefore we did not need services from APLUS Plumbing. However, I was very impressed with James' professionalism and knowledge. I was expecting to pay for the service call, as that is typical, even if the service is just a few minutes, whether that be plumbing, electrical, etc....James did not charge me, nor accept the offer of payment. That is not what led to my review, but I found that to be a very honest and sincere means of business, not something you find very often nowadays. APLUS/Juan is absolutely horrible. Not only they overprice, they don't fix my plumbing problem. We noticed draining issues at the house and water was backing up. We called APLUS and Juan charged me $400 just to power flush the drain. The same problem came back after 2 weeks so we called Juan again. All he did was power flushing the drain again even we told them it is not going to fix the problem. He does not even do the cable like other plumbers do. He is not willing to fix the problem unless we pay more. APLUS is not honest. Avoid them!

I had some dark tiles under neath my toilet and I figured it was from a leak underneath the toilet. I called up A PLus and they said they can be out the next day (as I requested). They showed up on time and are very courteous. They had shoe cover to keep your house clean and promptly check out the problem. They let me know how much it would cost and got to work. APLUS Plumbing has saved the day! Had an issue with toilets backing up and even coming up the shower drain.

Fix: Find the clean out and either snake it or high pressure wash depending on the severity. Luckily we only needed a snake. Hardest part was finding the location of the clean out.
After the snake was used! Problem solved!

Juan even ran the video to check the sewer line to the street. I was able to see what the future holds with our plumbing to the street!

Prices are very reasonable and these guys are very honest and on-time. I would recommend them to anyone and will use them for any future plumbing issues going forward!

I made the mistake of calling Rescue Rooter to come out and snake my clogged pipes. They sent someone who took off one bolt off my toilet and said he had to leave to get something from the shop and will be back. One and half hour later they called and said he won't be back and will be sending someone else out. Four hours go by NOBODY! They call me at 9:30 pm and say nobody is coming. I told them I'm getting someone else.

I had a referral from a friend to use APLUS Plumbing and glad i did. They came out first thing in the morning and told me that I needed a clean out port for pipes which I did needed because this is an older house and would make snaking so much easier in the future. They quoted me half the price Rescue Rooter had quoted me for the same thing.

Juan, Miguel and James are the A Team of the plumbing profession. If you want the job done right and done fast... these are the guys. These guys aren't trying make a fast buck for a corporate company like these other guys. They are in it for the return business which i will definitely will be doing from here on out.

It's hard to find reliable and trust worthy companies out there as a home owner. You always feel someone is trying to rip you off. This is my first review ever and these guys are the reason why. Don't go anywhere else. These guys are legit!!

I called on APLUS plumbing back in February. I found the company to be very responsive. Calls are answered immediately and if not, they return your call promptly. They gave me quotes over the phone without any run around. Their rates are reasonable and making an appointment was easy.
Juan worked on two jobs for us: one was a toilet shut off valve and the other was a new faucet installation plus shut off valve. The second job was a DIY nightmare. We had attempted to replace a faucet ourselves. It turned out that the shut off valves needed to be replaced too, and that's when we stripped the pipe in trying to remove the old ferrule. I learned that this is easy only in Youtube videos. Long story short, Juan fixed our botched job and didn't charge us more for the mess we'd made. It was very much appreciated. Juan really knows his stuff and I recommend him very highly.

Called James from APLUS plumbing. Had a leak in my front entry way which is causing water to accumulate. James was prompt, came out the same day and stayed late to try to fix the problem. He came back the next day to continue the work and due to the nature of the problem that I had, he suggested several different ways to diagnose the actual problem. I decided to start with the least expensive one first. He was professional and extremely fair. I also had him fix some of the fixtures inside the house and he took care of everything quickly and efficiently. I would definitely hire James again. Finding honest people in the construction field is somewhat of a rarity so when you do, hang onto their numbers.

APlus came out last Friday to initially switch out my shower faucet and showerhead. They informed me it wasn't possible due to the fact that they would have to open up the wall and replaster as it wasn't a one-to-one switch. He gave me an alternative of switching out the piece that makes the faucet smooth (obviously not the technical term, but I can't remember it right now). The problem was that the faucet was difficult and stiff to turn and he found an alternate solution. The pricing was good (compared to what I saw online) and they were respectful (used shoe covers to come into the house which is appreciated).
Juan also gave me tips on some other things around the house that we've noted for future renovations.

I've been dealing with low water pressure issues so based on Yelp reviews found this company to evaluate and troubleshoot.

They were professional and courteous while doing the evaluation. They made a recommendation related to our water softener and told me when and where they could help. They did this gratis despite taking the time to come out and perform the evaluation.

It's always a relief when you find reliable professionals who can deliver quality workmanship. This is what I can say about James and his family owned company--APlus Plumbing.

We've been having trouble with our lower floor toilets not flushing well. It caused intermittent backups and water leaks from the base of the seat. We've had this issue for years and had another plumbing company come in a couple years back to check but ended up with no fix and scratched porcelains seats. They said it's probably just the way our back-to-back toilets were built and suggested we have a major repair to get that issue resolved or to live with a plunger as a constant backup plan. Ugh! Seriously doubted the other plumber's recommendations and capabilities as none of my neighbor friends homes with the similar floor plans had our issues.

We finally decided to give it another try and found James company. He was prompt and arrived 20 mins as promised over the phone. He assessed the issue with various tools/devices to diagnose and address the trouble which the other plumbing company didn't even whip out. According to James, has over 15 years of experience and lives and services homes in San Ramon and tri-valley area.

His rates are reasonable and honored the coupon(s) for 1st time customers who call him for the job which is definitely a big plus compared to other plumbing services I called. I thought the two bathrooms would cost me an arm and a leg but was relieved to know it would be under $500 ;) Thank goodness for the coupons!

James was very polite and patient in explaining things and most importantly, HE RESOLVED THE ISSUE. He found the source of the intermittent overflowing and replaced the worn wax/seals of the two toilet seats. He cleaned up the area he worked in and made sure he didn't walk around our home with his shoes on. He guarantees his work for 30 days. So far, all is good.

I highly recommend James for your plumbing needs! I've kept him in our directory for future plumbing services. Hopefully nothing too immediate ;)

I'm updating my review because promptly after posting my initial review, a member of the APLUS team immediately followed up. He apologized for the issues which I complained about, asked for more information, then offered me a full refund. On top of that, he ensured me that he would speak to his team member about his salesmanship practices.

I let him know I was happy to pay what I thought was fair and market rate, so only requested a partial refund, which the APLUS team promptly sent.

At no point during the process did they ask me to update my Yelp review in return for a refund. Nor have they weeks later --- which is why I am now updating my review on my own accord to 5 stars for excellent high-level customer service.

So talk about panic time! The spouse calls me advising there is dirty water sewer in the bathtub. Came home and figured out, there was a back up somewhere in the main sewer pipe; gotta call the professionals! Given the circumstances, pulled up yelp. Who was the first business listed at number #1 near Hayward with over 400 reviews, APLUS. Placed the call to be greeted by Yoko. I explained the issue advising her about the discount on their website and booked the appt for the next day with ease. The day of the appt I was alerted they were running a lil behind due to a previous job, gotta like the communication. James and Ernesto then arrived. I explained the issue and they got to work! James provided a free estimate and said he could see me the next business day and accepted the discount I mentioned from their website. I went with my gut and told him I trusted him with the estimate. There was no time to look for other estimates given the yucky situation. On the day of the job to be done, James and Ernesto were all ears, when I told them what occurred previously with the issue. They went straight to work, always being very careful and clean. I'm impressed with the service that I received from James. I called him a few minutes after 5 and he said he would be to my home in 45 minutes. He arrived early - which gives him 1 star. James wanted to look under my house just to be sure that there weren't any leaks - 1 more star. I was lucky to have copper pipes in my old home and James quickly went to work. In less than 10 minutes he had the kitchen pipe snaked thru my outside access pipe. 2 more stars for the how quickly he solved my issue. Another great service call by APLUS - I had a copper pipe that sprung a leak. I knew where it was (under the home, going through the stucco) but didn't know how to fix it myself so I called these guys. They came out and had it fixed within 90 minutes of me calling them to come over and do an estimate.

They cut out the section of pipe that was broken and welded in new copper piping + plugged the hole to the exterior with silicone sealant. Fast and professional, also let me know about some potential future problems they saw (original pipes with rust forming).

We called around 12 and were given an appointment at 2. Turns out, Juan and Miguel could come earlier and they were here by 12:45. We were having some toilet issues, and they took the toilet off, ran some water down the pipe, and showed us that the pipe wasn't the problem. I had a touch less kitchen faucet that had been giving me trouble from day one so I contacted James for a free estimate. He was in constant contact with me regarding when Juan and his assistant can come (at my convenience!). They did not keep me waiting, gave me a call to let me know that they are on their way and came within quoted time frame.

Juan gave me an estimate and told me that I can get another estimate if I felt it was too much. No hard sell! I like the customer service first attitude of this team so I had them replace my kitchen faucet. They placed a tarp to protect my kitchen floor. I noticed that they put a sealant at base of faucet and ask Juan about it. He said it was not necessary but he like to do it to avoid future leaks which the previous plumber did not do since the old kitchen faucet leaked. He showed me how to use the kitchen faucet and explained that it will take 20 seconds for it to heat up due to the location of the water heater. He also took me to keep the original box and contents to return in case the faucet is defective. He also did a triple check to make sure no leaks and the faucet worked properly. I will definitely use APlus again. They are courteous, fair, efficient and go the extra mile!

If there were 6 stars for these guys I would give them 7! Juan delivers Top Notch service along with his team. We have had some major plumbing issues over the years with the toilets and everything backing up. 6 years of snaking and even a hydroflush at one point and the system finally had enough. We had been using APLUS over the past 3 years to come and help out each time the lines backed up. Thanksgiving 2018 he came and did a really thorough inspection, he said it's going to be soon and gave me estimates on a trench less replacement of the whole line. On a fateful Saturday in February 2019 everything backed up, the tubs the toilets the sinks it was a mess! Juan came over to snake and when it unplugged there was a fountain of sewage. It was on this visit with the camera we finally saw that the lines were so clogged with roots and blockage that it was time. I knew it was coming and decided that now was the time, I had gotten other quotes from other plumbers but we knew we wanted APLUS and Juan for the job. We went with the trench less service and got the entire clay lines from the clean out to the sidewalk replaced. They also added a 2nd clean out for us. They were very fair in price and were quick to schedule and get the job completed. If you need a plumber in the San Lorenzo/San Leandro/Hayward/Castro Valley area APLUS is amazing. Couldn't be happier with their service. A+++++ 150% satisfied.

Purchase our home two years ago. Recently, we kept smelling something unpleasant coming from our kitchen sink. Few days later, we start smelling it around the first floor of our home. My hubby then when and looked under the craw space. Found an 60 yr old pipe, rusty and leaky all over the ground. We call Aplus plumbing, Juan the plumber came out 15 min earlier than the schedule time. Hubby had to take the kids to school and he was patient to wait for him to come back. These guys are very professional and timely. We had leak under our kitchen sink, and I was able to make an appointment with them within a couple of days. They diagnosed the problem quickly and were able to make the repair then and there. Also, they're very punctual, arriving within the 2 hour window (actually at the start of the time slot). I had a drainage problem where water kept coming up into the tub every time we did the laundry. I tried to snake it myself but didn't have any luck.
I decided to call up A Plus plumbing on Saturday night and Juan came out right away to assess the issue. Juan carefully explained all my options and came early Sunday morning to fix our issue. Juan and Miguel are my plumbing super heroes! Someone in our house who shall remain nameless put the contents of a full container of KFC coleslaw down our garbage disposal. It caused our drain to back up. I called APLUS this morning before 6:00AM and got a call back to schedule a same day appointment at 7:30AM. The man told me someone would be here between 3PM and 5PM. Juan and Miguel were at my door at exactly 3PM, the quoted arrival time. They were informative, patient with my questions, honest, funny and did a great job snaking my drain...50+feet. It works perfectly now! There was a lot of grease in the line that they got out and everything is flowing beautifully. They also checked under my house to make sure everything was sound and it was! Juan and Miguel were early for our appointment. They inspected our drain clog, assessed the problem and offered their suggested solution. We came to an agreement and they performed their work quickly and cleared or kitchen drain blockage using a Hydrojet because our blockage was too extreme to snake.

Recently my washer (in the garage) backed up when I did a wash and oddly enough that caused sewage in one bathroom to bubble up so I called APlus Plumbing after reading a few reviews (thanks Yelp). Juan & James showed up and after inspecting various parts of the house power washed the cleanout (located on my front lawn) then they put a camera down to see if there was still blockage or cracks in the main sewer line. The camera was able to go about 3 feet before coming to standing water. They suggested it might be roots causing the blockage and I would need to replace from the cleanout to the sidewalk (~ 5 feet of pipe) but since they couldn't see beyond standing water they cautioned me it could be worst, the blockage could extend under the sidewalk and into the street because there is a street tree in the way and if it extended that far it will be alot more $ but for now the immediate problem have been fixed with the power wash and I can use my laundry machine and shower but I need to take care of the standing water problem.

Because the immediate problem was fixed, I didn't feel pressured and having the camera view was very helpful. I called the City of Hayward to see if they rooter or fixed root problems caused by their street trees and they said only at the surface or in the middle of the street but not the sewer lateral. So I had APlus Plumbing replace the 5ft of sewer line up to the sidewalk and hoped it wasn't worst. Juan was digging when the pipe moved and he was able to pick it up. It looked like at some point in time the clay pipe broke and a solid wall of dirt and root formed, causing a blockage. I'm surprised sewage didn't backed up into the house more often. After the new sewer line went in, James put the camera in and it was clean all the way to the public line. Thank goodness!

Juan, James and their assistant (sorry I didn't get his name) worked very efficiently and worked as a team. As one digged, the other got supplies ready and when one got tired digging, his partner would take his place digging, as one measured and called out the measurements, the other cut the pipe. They worked together so well, they were able to finished quickly, from replacement, testing, inspection to clean-up. Thanks for doing and excellent job on my pipes.

Juan, James, and Miguel are honest and hard working men.

I called for their service after feeling extra strong one morning and breaking the bath tub faucet handle. The screw split in half and got stuck inside the stem.

When Juan and Miguel came on the first day, they tried their best to yank it out with a wrench. But this was challenging, the stem fused with the faucet with all the gunk and deposits that accumulated over the years.

I know Juan and Miguel tried their best to yank it out because they were trying for over an hour and Juan even injured his finger during this process. This man did not give up.

Then they were forced to try more invasive approach to get the stem out and with success. However, when they installed the new stem, there was a leak coming out of the faucet.

I was provided with a bad news that the entire faucet needs to be replaced. This entailed cutting the shower marble, replacing the entire faucet(cutting pipes and welding), and installing the stem. When I got the revised quote for this new job, I was not happy. It was simply too much than the amount I was ready to spend on this problem.

On the following day, Juan, James, and Miguel came back. When I spoke with them about the cost for material and services, they agreed to a very reasonable amount which wasnt much more than the initial quote(replacing stem only). But it must have cost them a lot more for materials(new faucet cover, handle, stem, and pipes), a contractor(Juan's friend for cutting the shower marble), and complicated plumbing work.

After two more hours of work, everything is working to a perfection!

When I reflect on services I received from APLUS PLUMBING, I must say, this is the type of work ethic to be desired. They were responsible, accountable, reasonable, and able to get the job done. And this is without deviating much from the initial quote after the job escalated with unforeseen issues.

Thank you APLUS PLUMBING crew. I can finally shower out of a shower head without using filled up buckets. I will request all future plumbing services to APLUS and refer all friends with plumbing issues.

We've had blockage of our sewer line about every 2 years. Every time this happens, I call APLUS plumbing because of the very quick, reliable, and professional service that I've always gotten from Miguel and Juan. They're both great! After the last time they cleared my sewer line, I thought that they hadn't completely unblocked it because of a residual sewage smell. So I called them back and they checked it out and recognized that it wasn't a residual blockage and that the smell would subside in a day or so. They were absolutely correct and what's great too is that they didn't charge me for the return visit. I will continue to use APLUS as long as Miguel and Juan are there!

They did a great job fixing a leaky pipe under my kitchen sink several weeks ago. They worked quickly, and I liked that they told me about other experiences they've had with metal pipes rusting out which is why they put in PVC ones. They also pulled a piece of metal out of my garbage disposal for no extra charge, which definitely saved me having to repair it down the road. Thank you folks.

I called A Plus Plumbing on Friday morning as our water heater stopped working. I did not get through but knew they were on the phone so I figured I would try again in a few minutes. I got a call back from Juan within 5 minutes as he saw that I had called. I explained that our water heater wasn't working and needed to be repaired or replaced (it's really old). Juan said he could come by in about 40 minutes to check out the problem. He showed up on time with another technician and took a look at the water heater. He said it was about 30 years old and should be replaced instead of trying to repair it. He gave us a fair quote and said he could get it done the same day. YAY! He replaced our old water heater, braced it and cleaned up the area. We were super grateful that he was able to get all of the work done the same day so we didn't have to go the whole weekend without hot water.
I would definitely recommend him to anyone in the East Bay that needs a plumber!

My garbage disposal gave up the ghost while I was doing dishes this morning. I called APlus at 11:00 and I kid you not, had a new disposal installed by noon. I am not sure if I just got lucky on timing that they were able to come out so rapidly, but it definitely made a stressful situation much less stressful. They recommended some additional fixes, but did not press to do them at this time. I will be sure to follow up with them on those additional fixes once I have a chance to shop for a new faucet.

They were timely, neat, and had everything they needed to replace the disposal quickly. The worst part was having to remove everything from under the kitchen sink, but that's on me.

I have two cats and generally am very nervous when I have people who need to come in and out of the house to fix things, but they were very conscious and aware that the door was fully shut between trips to the van and back.

Would recommend to those in the service area and will use again.

So we had a dead slow draining kitchen sink and I called various plumbers in Dublin/ Pleasanton/ San Ramon areas and right from the time I was initially calling to see what they would say about my problem...everyone was sounding to be more interested in extracting money rather than the problem itself....and they even quoted way more than James at A Plus Plumbing.
Now for the main part James arrived on time as told and did not waste any time .Just by testing our Kitchen sink he knew what had gone wrong....I did a lot of research on my own for days and found just 2 problems 1. Either there was blockage way down in wall or 2. Air vent problem.....But James was certain it was blockage down the pipes .....he quickly bought his equipment did snake the drain and Ta Da.....the draining problem fixed......
James even gave us good affordable pricing...he is friendly ....even took a look at other plumbing problem we had in our house and suggested a solution......he is extremely professional knows the problem just by checking.....moreover he was in and out in 30 minutes....he is a true professional and knows what he does
He is a plumbing doctor....specialist.....he will be a go to plumber forever for me and we are a huge community and large family and James will be the person I will recommend to all of them for all their plumbing needs.

When was the last time you called a plumber and there was no service charge to assess the issue and offer an estimate? For me, never. Juan and Miguel were so informative. We called for a toilet backup and he showed us how the sewer line was clear and advised us with a cheap fix for a flap that wasn't operating quite right at the sewer line. He didn't charge us a dime and educated us on how the pressure works, low flow toilets, etc. I'm holding onto his card because if we have issues in the future, I know who to call. Eduardo did a fantastic job. Our sink had been plugging up for years and no amount of Drano was gonna clear it. The pipe was corroded so Eduardo went under the house and replaced one section of pipe and replaced all the piping up to the sink. Instead of just snaking out the sink he correctly replaced what was needed. We can't thank them enough .

Juan and Miguel, awesome guys. Juan did the majority of the work, he was very knowledgeable. I believe Juan stated that he had about 12 years experience and it showed. He knew exactly needed to be done to my toilet and bath valve. They were also friendly to my 2 curious daughters that wanted to see what was going on in their bathroom. Suffice to say that before APLUS Plumbing came to our house the toilet and bath valve were leaking. I've called APLUS Plumbing several times over the last year to fix a clogged toilet that kept plugging up even after they snaked it. They have also fixed other plumbing issues, including installing a kitchen sink faucet a few weeks ago.

I've always had positive interactions with their team and they respond very quickly when I have called them. Their rates are also very reasonable. Their team has practiced good masking and physical distancing during their visits to my home during the pandemic.

During one of their first visits, they suggested I ask my home HOA about investigating the plumbing under our home to see if it was an issue the HOA could cover and because the problem kept occurring. Their team also walked me through what they thought the problem was and let me take photos so I could make a stronger case to my HOA. This was super helpful to me.

Eventually last fall, after what felt like their fourth or fifth visit (in the span of a few months), I finally contacted my HOA and it turns out, the problem was related to plumbing issues the HOA had to cover. A few weeks later, the problem was fixed.

I've dealt with a lot of plumbing issues over the years and the service provided by APLUS has been critical to the well being of my home.

303 (now 304) 5 Star reviews should tell you all you need to know about these guys.. but they're worth the time to write about... unbelievably amazing plumbing service !!! These guys know their craft, are committed to customer satisfaction, and it shows. James and Juan helped me out with some serious plumbing issues I was dealing with, and I am so glad I found them.

I had dealt with weeks of frustration dealing with our home warranty company that kept sending subpar plumbers to work on the plumbing for a property I just purchased. Not only was it hard to get someone out, the people that actually made it, actually caused more damage than they fixed. All three toilets at the property weren't flushing properly, and the home warranty guy showed up, cracked one of the toilets (that leaked all over the floor and seeped through the ceiling below), and said the problem was with the sewer vents and could not be fixed by him.

Fast forward three weeks and countless hours on the phone with the home warranty and plumber they sent... and finally the tank leak started to damage the ceiling in the room below (which was a blessing in disguise)... I called the home warranty emergency line, was able to get emergency approval on finding my own contractor, called these guys, and all of my problems sorted themselves out within 24 hours..

Juan showed up promptly, even though it was an after hours call... he wore booties over his shoes in the house to protect my new carpet without me even having to ask (the last guy wouldn't take off his shoes and didn't come with booties and threatened to end the job)... he looked at the toilet causing the leak, identified the issue, explained everything to me in a way anyone could understand, and even checked out the other two toilets and diagnosed them all as needing to be replaced.. he also explained how the last plumbers opinion of the Sewer vent being the problem could not be possible.. he left me feeling confident that I now had a plan of action... he didn't charge me a consult fee even though it was an emergency call, and left me with a quote.. along with some advice on which toilets are best/long lasting...

Next day I called the warranty folks, forwarded the quote, and got everything in line for approval. James, as busy as he is, took ten minutes to get on a conference call with me to verify issues with warranty company.. thanks to James, the warranty company finally gave me full approval to change all three toilets..

Now, 24 hours after my initial call.. 2 of 3 toilets have been changed to high efficiency, water saving toilets (one of which I'm sitting on as I write this, and boy is it nice)... the third toilet is a special order, since the tank needs to be under a certain height to fit under the counter (Juan was sure to point this out during his initial visit, which helped me with ordering the right one)....

Super honest, fast, reliable, and trustworthy.. 2 toilets hanged within an hour.. a day after my call.. while they're busy as all hell.. and even flexing their schedule to accommodate my I need this now attitude (I had already taken the day off work), when they initially tried to schedule me for Saturday.. these guys know what they're doing, and it shows..

James and Juan are like the real life equivalent of Mario and Luigi.. if there ever was one.. my super heroes... thank you guys so much, and see you next week for the final install.

My office had a toilet that was broken. Juan and Miguel came by for a free estimate. They were quick to know what was going on. They were professional and clearly explained to me my options. They left and came back a couple hours later was able to remove the old toilet and replace with a brand new toilet. It took approx. 40 mins. They were nice guys to work with. We liked their work so much we had them estimate our kitchen sink which was clogged. They were able to fix that lickety split. They had low prices. We had a slab leak, in our garage. This means that water was leaking from the hot water pipes underneath the slab. James and his assistant came out, gave us a thorough estimate. We agreed to go with them, after receiving other bids. They then came out, jack-hammered out the slab, replaced the leak. James was very friendly and explained everything with patience. They did a great job, and I would highly recommend this plumbing company whether you live in Fremont, Hayward or Union City.

We discovered a leak in our water line two days before the July 4th weekend. After running into issues (including non-returned calls) with three plumbers we know, I called APLUS and James got back to me within an hour. When you need them badly they come to your door almost instantly. Christmas crunch and I'm supposed to be doing cooking for family from all over the world, our traditional noche Buena (Christmas Eve celebration) to find out my kitchen sink wouldn't drain as well as my laundry room (flooded the night before) I give them a call 8am sharp as advertised on their web and they send Juan and Miguel. As promised they are at my doorsteps before 9am and job completed soon after. The same pair were the ones who did my main sewer line 4 years ago which Juan said will last for many many years (I did another review on this job).

Very professional, fast and the value is worth the money spent considering the time frame. Next time maybe, the old galvanized kitchen and laundry lines (an old house which already needs a lot of maintenance and repair. Again, I'm a happy camper.

I chose APLUS largely due to their Yelp reviews. You don't get 200 reviews and a 5 star rating by not making customers happy. Manuel and Juan are an awesome duo. I needed a pair of hose bibbs replaced as the ones that were installed were the originals on my house. Both were leaking/stripped messes. They got it done pretty quickly and even showed me how to do it as I was eager to learn. They were in and out in around 45 minutes. Ill definitely be calling them for my plumbing needs in the future.

Repair Leaking toilet. APlus plumbing responded shortly after I posted a need on Yelp. He was able to come over same day and called to let me know he is on the way. James arrived on time. Explained what issues were and gave me options to try cheaper options first but made me aware if it didn't work the cost for further options would be close to new toilet. Offered to credit half of initial repair towards new toilet. Unfortunately cheaper repair option didn't work and so we opted to have him install new toilet. He explained new toilet is more efficient. He gave us a reasonable estimate for new toilet and credited me for half of the initial charge. He arrived on time as said installed the new toilet and it works beautifully . I would highly recommend him because he is timely, found him to be honest and explained what he found, what he recommended and was reasonable when it came to the costs.

I had a problem where water was backing up into my showers/toilets and it was quite the minor catastrophe! I called a 3 of the highest rated places on yelp, but it was APLUS who responded the fastest (point!) When they came out they were super friendly and didn't give me any hardsell on additional services (another point!). The service was completed expediantly, and when I had a follow up issue, they came back on site (on a Sunday! ) in the same friendly and expediant manner. Very much recommended.

We just moved up from San Diego so did not know any service people in the area. We needed a kitchen faucet replaced. I had called another company that gave me an estimate of $145/hr and saod it would probably take 2 to 2 1/2 hrs to complete. I thought that was pretty outrageous so based on the good reviews and location, I called APLUS Plumbing. James was very helpful. He listened to what I needed, gave me an estimate of 1 to 1 1/2 hrs. He said he would come the next day to assess what really needed to be done and give me a firm estimate. He was prompt the next day and gave me an estimate that was at least half of what the other company had quoted. He was fast and efficient and was done in less than 1 1/2 hrs. The work was great and we are so pleased. We would recommend APLUS to anyone and will definitely call James again when we need his services.

8 years of issues resolved in under a week, thanks to James and team from APLUS.

I have a 100 year old house, so everything that needs fixing is a major challenge. For the past 8 years, I have been trying to resolve my issues. the pipes are old copper pipes that the last home owner cut off into the wall to put in a new sink. It's a farm sink ceramic and from IKEA so it doesn't fit anything standard. The pipe fixtures have been held together with hose clamps and rubber tubes put together by yours truly as an upgrade from the electrical tape work of the original owner. Nobody would touch this pipe work without removing a wall or taking down the tile backsplash.

James came over to estimate, the told me they would go under the house, remove the old pipe to the sewer line and reroute through the wall under the sink. YES PLEASE. When? Tomorrow. Ok, I'm 100% in. Comes the next morning, does exactly as promised. The blockage from 100 years of grease was truly disgusting. Flows like a dream now.

As I'm telling James my issues, how I can't get anyone to put in a garbage disposal because of the sink. James, right off, ok, I'll do that for you. Get an electrician to wire it, and I'll come install it. NO WAY. ok, I got a guy, let me see when I can get that in (my electrician also a star when it comes to working on old houses). The pipes were replace on Tuesday. My electrician was here on the following Monday. I texted James, ok. The electric is done. James - Ok, I can do this for you this afternoon at 3:30. and he was right on time, put that bad boy in, and replaced the old faucet on the side of the house too. Boom, done in an hour.

When I tell you the number of plumbers who would just shake their head and said no, to have James come in and say yes, and you got it, I cannot tell you the level of thrilled I am. Customer for life.

Juan and his partner were amazing. After another plumber flaked on me last minute I called Juan at 5:30pm and he was at my house by 7:00pm... He was quick and straight to the point and gave me a competative quote AND even gave me the yelp discount discount which saved me money! He even showed me my trouble area via a camera that was put into the pipes... Now that I know what the problem is I can go ahead and have that fixed before my pipes clog up again... I called APLUS today to install a new dishwasher at my condo. An air gap is needed. The man who answered the phone said I must have a hole for him to install it which is fine but he is charging $300!!!! I don't think it's very difficult task to install a dishwasher but this company is way too much...I do not recommend them. 1 star minus 1 = 0

I have had them replace all the valves in my home, as well as, the main shut off valve. OK, so now it's the future and the pipe failed right where James predicted it would. I gave him and call and later the same afternoon Juan and Jose showed up to clear the drain enough to get us through the weekend, but the roots were really bad. Monday morning James and his crew returned and by noon they were done! Pipe replaced with new clean-out, roots gone, dirt back in the hole, we're back in business. I call them to clean my clogged kitchen drain. It had been serviced by another plumber who cleaned the drain with cable. But it kept clogging even after cleaning. So I called around to find another solution. APLUS quote me lowest price for pressure washing.

Prompt and reliable service, quality employees.
We've had Juan out twice within the last month for different plumbing issues.

The water line that was running from the main water line to the fridge sprung a leak which lead to problems the with the main water line itself..called APLUS at 8:00 and was dispatched two plumbers, Juan and Miguel, who came out the same day! They got under the house swapped out the 70 year old piping for some copper pipping, elbowed the piping into the house and outfitted with a nice little on/off valve.. Very prompt and professional service! I had a broken and disconnected garbage disposal, causing a leaky kitchen sink. All I can say id WOW!!! These guys are great. I called late in the day but they were able to come right over and after a reasonable amount of assessment, they got to work and finished the job within an hour and a half of my call. On top of that, I have to say that Juan and Miguel were courteous and mindful, they explained everything that they were going to do, and the options available in case Plan A did not work out.

Our hot water supply had decreased dramatically over time, even with two high-capacity heaters. After speaking with James at Dr. Plumbing, I was convinced that there might be a sediment problem. Even though this wasn't an emergency, James promised to stop by first thing the next morning.

We called late on a Sunday evening for a leak underneath the sink. We got a call back early Monday morning on a holiday. He was the only one who was willing to come out on a holiday. He came out right away to give us an estimate without charging to come out like some other companies. They were friendly and kind enough to wear booties on their shoes to help my floor stay nice and dry. They did a few tests to determine the water and fixed my drain! I called APLUS because my showers were backing up and getting filled with grime and sludge when showering. My house was built in the 1950's so finding a clean out access to the drain was not possible because the house does not have one. The options were to take a shot on a high pressure drain cleaning by accessing the pipe through the drain vent on the roof, or we could dig up the front yard and install a clean out access which would be much pricier. I chose to start with the smaller project and high pressure blast the drain from the roof. Well it seemed to have done the job, and the price was definitely fair considering other plumbers would have charged much more. I highly recommend APLUS to anybody. They are honest and fair.

UPDATE: Four days later my showers were backing up again. I called Aplus out on a Saturday, they showed up within the hour and they preformed another high pressure drain cleaning because they gave me a 30 day warranty on the first one. Juan also gave me a camera inspection. Upon inspection we found there were tree roots blocking up a portion of drain line by the front of the house and that I will need a clean out access in the near future. I am very impressed with Aplus' service and ability to come out promptly when needed. Thanks, guys!

You don't realize how much you take running water for granted till it's gone! Had a pipe burst under the house on a Sunday and no one was answering calls so left messages to multiple plumbers. After a day without water we were getting pretty desperate but APlus called first thing Monday morning and came within the hour. We had a major drain failure under the house. Several estimates were obtained from other competitors. We also conducted a comprehensive search of local businesses with good reviews, and we chose APlus over all of them. We could not use any of our sinks or laundry, and were in a tough spot coming up on a Holiday (Thanksgiving) week. Juan and team came to us on short notice, and completed the entire job in 2.5 hours. This was while making improvements for us on the design (the original plumbing was from 1961 and needed an entire drain replacement). Jose and Juan were a god-send! We have had periodic plumbing backups before but we have always been able to manage them on our own. Our 1960's plumbing is fairly sensitive so we've done everything from eliminating food waste in the garbage disposal to using less paper in our toilets, and never flushing things like wipes and tampons.

Wouldn't you know that right after a fun family bbq for Father's Day the toilets start backing up (literally right when our guests were exiting). Plunging, flushing, and diverting water through one area resulted in sludge and grime coming up in all toilets and showers.

After a long evening of making a huge mess, we woke up defeated and reluctantly called APlus (we had a bad experience with a previous plumber who broke a hole in one of our pipes while fixing something).

Jose and Juan were at our house within the hour and flushed everything out with a high pressure washer. Worked like a charm and everything was said and done in about ten minutes. We would definitely recommend, as they were fast, courteous, and very professional. We will be using there maintenance services to prevent future blockage. APlus gets a huge A++++++ from us!

We've called APlus a few times over the years, once to replace a garbage disposal, and for a clogged main drain. We finally had them replace the main drain, and he was able to show me pictures of where the old cast iron pipe had obstructions from excessive solder that had splashed into the pipe during the original installation decades ago.

I talked to owner Mr. James this morning sat 3/18 for emergency help . This house I moved in toilet are plugged the old lady I help was panicked instead calling other name brand plumbing company .. I found them on yelp !! And good reviews ! The owner was sounds nice person sent 2guys for free estimate in a hour fortunately I was try to fix toilet by myself it worked temporally 2guys check for us out side inside they told me honestly it's no problem for now they didn't lie or try just pretend fix or anything. Just being so honest and nice guys. Came all way to San Leandro but still smiled said to me honestly and said it's ok for now .I got their card I'll fit sure call this company for serious issue or if toilet plugged again! I use yelp all the time to read reviews but I never take the time to comment. However, in this case I'm making an exception. My plumbing issue is a giant mess to begin with. The insinkerator backs up into the tub and I swear if you are phobic of grease and grime well, this tops the cake. My husband and I had to get a hotel because it was that bad. I called these guys yesterday and asked them to come in today. They told me between 8-9am. Guess what? Door bell rang at 7:50am. That's great! I was greeted by Juan and Miguel, and they were out in no time at all! I've had contractors before that would make it uncomfortable to be in the same room, let alone the same house, not these guys! Juan and Miguel were really on point, so, if you guys need good service and good people I would recommend them. Also don't forget to ask about the yelp discount. :)

I had a hot water line leak under the foundation of my house. It would be no small task to fix either. A plumber would either need to destroy my bathrooms to fix the pipes or do a complete pipe of my house through the attic.

This was around Christmas time, mid December and it was terribly hard to get anyone to answer their phone let alone show up for an estimate. However James answered and set up an appointment the next day. So far so good!

Juan showed up and provided me a quote for a repipe vs just a fix.

I convinced my insurance company the repipe was the way to go and they gave me the green light.

James scheduled the work at a fair price and to be done the following week advising me it would take 2 days.

Juan and Miguel showed up, put down tarps and covered things in my garage and got to work!

They ran into a few issues, but nothing they couldn't work around. In the end my house remained relatively spotless after the drywall repairs were made.

And we finally had hot water, such a relief!

I highly recommend this company and they will be my go to plumbers for any other plumbing needs. They were timely, professional and overall just good guys.

I was so pissed at my hubby for procrastinating on fixing our kitchen sink, leakage for 6 months, can't use our dishwasher or disposal. Today, I took matters into my own hands and thank god for these guys! I simply searched for plumbers in my area and they were the first one with excellent ratings (no wonder!)
I called at 2:30pm today for a free consultation and was told that they could send someone today between 6-8pm. I ended up scheduling this appointment timeframe as I couldn't live with no use of my kitchen sink any longer.
I received a call back around 4pm stating they would be able to arrive earlier by 5pm exactly (no two hour timeframe) Juan and Miguel showed up, put booties on (sooo appreciated with my OCD) and they got straight to their analysis and quoted my repair at $150, and completed the work in less then 30 mins. i've had a series of unfortunate plumbing events recently- a leaky fire sprinkler pipe, leaky toilet then a huge leak in my kitchen sink that would flood underneath. all separate occasions. ha.

each time, i called aplus and juan came to check things out within a day or so. super quick. he obviously knows what he is doing and finishes repairs right away.

My kitchen sink stopped up and as I plunged away I ended up filling and overflowing a downstairs bar sink...water everywhere. Also the downstairs shower was clogged.

I had an excellent experience with APLUS Plumbing. Amy promptly answered my initial call at 8:30 am and arranged for a technician to visit between 2 - 4 pm. Throughout the process, she kept me updated on their estimated time of arrival through text messages. James and Miguel arrived at around 3 pm and diligently addressed our sewer drainage problem. They started by snaking the drain and then used hydro jetting to clear as much as possible. Additionally, they used a camera to show me the issue and provided recommendations for future incidents. 1 star for coming to my home on New Years Eve. Juan came in to give me an estimate on THREE plumbing issues. Unfortunately, he looked at my first issue (kitchen faucet with low pressure) and promptly left. To be fair, he made a recommendation to replace the entire faucet. The faucet was replaced less than 6
months ago. He told me that something may be in the sprayer blocking the flow, but that he couldn't remove the sprayer because it's broken. He recommended that the whole thing should be replaced and that I should go to Home Depot to buy another one, because mine was cheap. I purchased it for $200, but okay I'll concede since he's the expert. He then stated that it could be the pipes, asked if I was a renter. When I responded yes,he stated that I needed permission to have the pipes looked at. When asked if I own my home, I always answer this question with a yes because people tend to show their true colors when I do. I'm paying for the service, which I explained to him and gave him permission to move forward. Juan then told me that I should contact the company that installed the faucet and have them repair it. He promptly left after that. I have to say, I am very disappointed, after reading the amazing reviews on here. Definitely makes me wonder. Oh well, thank you APlus for leading me to another plumbing company. This company assisted me same day, with ALL of the plumbing issues resolved in less than an hour. No new faucet required and super friendly to boot!

The water from my washing machine was backing up into the toilets and tubs of both my bathrooms. I called aplus and a couple other companies with equally good reviews. Juan and miguel did not disappoint...They installed a cleanout and located the problem..apparently my main had a section that was completely blocked with roots. They showed me the work that was being done every step of the way and even did the camera to diagnose any other problems within my main. I have two other problems that will require fixing in the future but juan was not pushy at all...Price was very competitive compared to the other company i called.

A plus plumbing has excellent service. They were on time, friendly and professional. We had them come out 6 months ago to fix a leak under our sink. The prices were reasonable and they came quickly which was important with a newborn in the house.

Yesterday we called them again and they came out and solved the problem (a loose joint) for no charge and gave me a quote in the event that we decided to replace the whole part.

I would definitely recommend them for all your plumbing needs. They get the importance of customer service .

He came the first day to give us an estimate of how much it would cost. The price was fair IMO. The job took him almost 3 hours to do, and he did it well. He also found out one of the pipes in our sink isn't galvanized water pipe, which caused corrosion, and he helped us change that. He even helped us do some other small repairs for free!

Ahhh...the joys of homeownership! Early in the morning last week, a pipe broke in our front yard, spewing water into the street. I had to get EBMUD to come out and shut our water off, so you can imagine how urgent my need was for a plumber to come out immediately to fix the issue, so we could get our water turned back on.

Unfortunately, my home warranty doesn't cover plumbing issues if it is not inside the house, so we were on our own to find a reliable and affordable plumber that could come out that day. We first called on a plumber that was highly recommended by our neighbors; unfortunately he was booked that entire day and was not able to come out. So we took to yelp to see if we could find someone. We called up several plumbers and even had a couple come out for free estimates, but were turned off that everyone charged for labor by the hour, plus parts. We finally called APLUS Plumbing and James came out immediately for a free estimate. We decided to go with him because he charged a flat rate (plus 10% discount for first time customers - yay!).

James was awesome! He was professional, showing us what the problem was (PVC pipe and irrigation pipe broke, due to age), and then showing us the fix after he finished! He was also fast - he was able to fix the problem in 2.5 hours, when a previous plumber that came out said the problem would take at least 4 hours to fix (and he was charging by the hour - ha!). Icing on the cake - the flat rate James charged us was a couple hundred dollars less than all the other plumbers we contacted that day!

If you are looking for a professional, honest plumber who does excellent and quick work, definitely check these guys out!

Cleared blocked sewer line. Quoted on installing additional clean out and replacing main line. Work was okay, solving our immediate problem. However, service tech attitude was as if he did not want the job or had somewhere else he wanted to be. Gave us quotes to complete repairs but packed up equipment while we were trying to decide to proceed with additional work (10-15 min. discussion) and told us to call back next week. I had a backed up kitchen drain line at my house. So I had decided to remove the P-trap and snake it out myself only to find out my pipes were filled with grease. APlus plumbing was the only available option in my area. These guys immediately show up within 30 minutes of my call and quoted me a reasonable price to clear the blockage. Soon enough after arriving, these guys hooked up a gas pressure washer with a 100 ft of 1/4 steel braided line connected to a pressure regulator, stuck it down the pipe and blasted the interior walls to remove all the grease and particles attached!!!!

100000000000 psi of straight h2o cutting through the bacon, egg, and sausage grease. After that moment, no grease that day ever wish they had lived. The grease completely regretted the idea of creating a solid wall to block anything from my sink returning back into the city's sanitary waste system. To prevent this from happening, I would look into some kind of compound to clean your pipes periodically otherwise, you will be contacting Raul and Miguel. These guys are warriors when it comes to this business so give these gentlemen a call for any plumbing needs and they will get the job done!

We have a two story house. There was a leak in a drain line from the top floor. There was a cracked fitting that needed to be replaced in a 3 inch PVC line. The pipes were accessible from the lower floor via a drop ceiling.

Pros:
On time.
Work done well and quickly. Very thorough.

Cons:
Seems expensive. $650 for 2 plumbers for 2 hours to replace the fitting.
I would recommend an online quote before they come out.

I was satisfied!!! Very honest people!!!

Before I reached out to A Plus Plumbing, I called my home warranty to send a plumber in. They sent a plumbing company, which happened to be very unreliable...never dealing with them again. Because I was so unhappy with them, I called A Plus Plumbing and they were able to schedule a free estimation for me right away.

Juan and Jose came in to rescue my house. Juan was very knowledgable and showed me what was wrong with my pipes. As a new home owner, he showed me everything I should know about. I suspected that I had a leak outside. I called APLUS Plumbing and James came to my house very quickly. James and his assistant inspected the area in question. They concluded there was not a leak but residual water seepage from the heavy rains we have been experiencing. I had a kitchen sink that was clogged. Had been draining slowing and finally clogged. Called a rooter service and was told the snake wouldn't go through so probably a broken pipe and would need to call a plumber. I saw great yelp reviews on this company so I requested a quote. They came out within an hour and told me they would give it a try. Their snake went right through and then they hydrojetted the line. Thankfully not a broken pipe in the slab. They were very professional, knowledgeable and left everything clean. I highly recommend them.

I had a problem with the drain pipe in my laundry room. I called a few plumbers was given an estimate for the work. One was so high I couldn't believe it. A friend recommended APLUS . I called APLUS and they came out looked at the problem. Replaced the bad pipe, installed a clean out all for half the price of the other company. I had an issue with water backing up in my tub. Tried snaking it ourselves but wasn't getting anywhere. I read the reviews and the word honest seemed to be pretty consistent so I called. Not only did I get a call back pretty quickly, but Juan and Miguel actually were on time! They were polite and considerate of my property. Juan quickly figured out the issue though it was not a simple fix. They worked it out to come right back the next day to replace the rotted pipes. Again, on time. So 2 days ago while my wife was washing some towels in the garage sink she noticed that there were water leaking noise behind the wall

We checked under and house and found out that the pipe was broken

I'm not happy. The pilot light went out on my hot water heater. APlus was the only plumber that could come out today. They showed up early (which is good) but would not do the work with a warranty part. Which means they'd have to pay for the part and not charge me, but get reimbursed from the manufacturer when they return the bad part, which is standard business practice. Since my landlord is paying for it, I thought what the heck, let me get some hot water so I can take a shower. I haven't been able to shower for two days. But something made me ask them first if they had the thermocoupler ASSEMBLY, which is what the manufacturer said I need. I had the part number and everything. Well they told me they didn't have the assembly, only the thermocoupler, so I was reluctant to have them do the work. If the manufacturer says I need the whole assembly replaced, that's who I trust. So I'm sitting here with no hot water and no one else can come out until Wednesday. Two more days with no hot water. Great.

***edited*** the owner called me right after I wrote this, having seen my one-star review. He did try to help me over the phone, giving me numbers to other plumbers who specialize in water heaters. So I adjusted this review to two stars. Despite trying to be helpful, he ended up stressing me out a bit, because talking to him meant I wasn't talking to potential plumbers. And he was concerned about the bad review. Unfortunately none of his referrals worked for me - they quoted me more than other plumbers who could come out in a couple of days, and even though they specialized in water heaters, no one would work with my warranty. What good is a freaking warranty then? Luckily I stumbled on a plumber here on Yelp who used to work for my old landlady in Richmond. He has his own business now, Albion Plumbing. He's sending someone over to my house now at 5pm, and they've already picked up the part. So hopefully I will finally get to shower tonight!

We needed a plumber and we didn't know any, so I went on Yelp - APlus Plumbing had lots of glowing reviews. Now I can see why! Juan was very courteous on the phone, he came out the same day I called (!) at the exact time he said he would. He and his helper were extremely nice, they wrestled with the old pipes on this 1931 built home and fixed the problem quickly. They did so well we had them do another little job while they were here. I don't know if there were cheaper plumbers, but he charged a fair price, and we were happy to pay it. We will recommend them to everyone we know.

God bless Juan at A-Plus Plumbing. He was scheduled to arrive between the hours of 10-12 and he was here by 10:03. Fast & thorough- he replaced our sink faucet, & then went under the house to see if our pipes were intact because we also had an issue with our bathroom sink. Fortunately he discovered they were, so he proceeded to snake the sink. Upon further investigation,he discovered & retrieved about 5 inches of a snake covered in sludge. Apparently the plastic snake broke in the drain and was obstructing the drain. Once all was removed, the sink was good as new! AND the total cost was very reasonable which was a great relief. He definitely goes down in my books as our
hero of the day!

APlus will be handling all my plumbing needs from now on. While I was away, my main became clogged and the person who was housesitting for me called a major outfit that charged a lot and suggested I would need a lot more work. When I got home, I called APlus on the basis of reviews that I saw on yelp. Juan answered and was at my house within 30 minutes. Within an hour, he had run the camera through the lines multiple times, climbed under my house and showed me clearly what was going on. He explained my options and didn't advocate for the most expensive one. In the end, he charged me less than the one who had come to the house while I was away and made sure that I understood exactly what was done and why. We didn't expect to be able to fix it soon, but when we called APLUS Plumbing, they came out in 20 mins. The plumbers were very kind and even brought their own show covers. I purchased a GE Rheem water heater several months ago, but it stopped working three days ago. I called Rheem customer service, and they said they did not have a team in this area, so they gave me a claim number, and asked me to find a local plumber. I searched online yelp, and found APlus Plumbing. I made a call, and James came as scheduled. He was very nice and gentle; he listened to me attentively about the problem, and looked into it carefully, and gave explanation in detail of what he was going to do, and how much he would charge. If you need ANY plumbing assistance APlus Plumbing is the BEST out there!!! I was very worried because our toilet and tub keep backing up. This morning it did it again!

I had some serious issues with my plumbing. Both bathroom tubs and bathroom toilets were stopped up, and the still water brought a horrible smell to the entire house. I tried to go with my warranty company to get this handled, but they were going to charge me a ridiculous amount. I googled the best plumbers in Hayward and APLUS Plumbing was the first result. We called in and they came within a couple of hours. They not only gave me a lower and more reasonable price, they got to work right away! I must say this is the best plumbing experience I've had in my 20+ yeas of being in Hayward. I'd most certainly recommend this company to anyone in the area. We called APLUS to look at a major plumbing problem in our San Leandro home. Juan & Miguel came in on short notice on a Friday to look at our clogged master bedroom, giving us a very reasonable price for a substantial piping replacement that other plumbers have quoted for double the price.

They did us a solid for doing the job at the very next day. They were punctual and efficient, did an awesome job cleaning up after themselves and hauling out all the old iron pipes with them.

Juan and Eduardo were true pros. On time and courteous. The sink pipe was rusted straight through, which meant a piece needed to be replaced. They first tried to save me some money by cutting out the rusted part and adding a piece, but it didn't hold. I completely appreciated this attempt because I didn't balk at the original estimate. Rather, they took it upon themselves to try and save me money. When the pipe was replaced, everything worked great and they even gave me a $40 discount that I didn't ask for. I couldn't ask for better service.

Came to estimate ahead of expected time which was inconvenient. I could barely understand what they said and they didn't even try to fix the problem. I was quoted a huge price and then they left. Flash forward to the second plumbing company who was able to fix the problem on site that day for only $125. It was a simple bathtub clog. Take your business elsewhere as this company will gauge you for all they can.

2015 was the year of plumbing issues. This time, water was leaking from the tank into the toilet. It's so horrific to waste so much water in this drought. Admittedly, my initial attempt to fix the valve ring in the canister/piston valve was a frustrating fail. I wasn't 100% certain that was the cause of the leak. Juan cautioned me that changing the fill valve may not fix the leak and that they don't change the canister valve. He advised me to get a new efficient toilet. (My old toil used 3 gallons per flush!) I decided to just stick with the cheaper quick fix, which did not solve the problem. Every 8 minutes or so, the tank will top off with water to replace what leaked into the bowl. He was right! When he came back to replace my toilet, he gave me a nice discount since I'm a returning customer. I had previously quoted Home Depot installers, hoping to get a competitive price. They nickel-and-dime you, with disposal an extra $50. OUCH. The APlus team arrived promptly at the beginning part of the scheduled time frame. They had a dry vac to scoop up all the pieces of caulk from removing the old one. Before installing the new toilet, Juan used my cleaning products to wipe clean the floor. He did some flush tests to ensure no leaking from the bottom of the toilet. I appreciate how thorough he is.

When they opened the door for the vanity, they wanted to cut a hole in the cabinet to disconnect the drain. The drain is next to the interior partition, but the next plumber I called removed the drain within 5 minutes of arrival without cutting holes in the cabinet, and removed the blockage in the next 15 minutes. All completed with a pair of channel locks the same tool APlus Plumbing was unsuccessful in using. If I had let APlus cut a hole in the cabinet, the drawer brackets would have been damaged. The vanity was installed with no problem, and past plumbing repairs did not require damaging the vanity.

I asked for free estimate on noises that i heard from toilet water tank. He gave me the time frame that he will come for check it out. He showed up right on time. He put on shoe covers. Very polite. Told me what is wrong and suggest me i can even fix it myself. So i took his suggestion. Went to hardware store. Fixed the toilet. I would use this APLUS plumbing service and i recommend anyone who wants to use them. I guess first impression goes a long way.

Juan and Miguel from APLUS Plumbing just left our house, with our drains now clog-free and happy again!! All of our drains were backing up, so we knew he had a problem that needed attention quickly. Juan and Miguel arrived SO FAST- we called earlier in the day, and they were at our door in about 45 minutes, tops. They took a look at what was going on, and knew right away what the trouble most likely was. They told me what they were going to do, and how much it was going to cost, then got to work. They cleared the clogged pipes of our main sewer line and snaked the camera down inside so I could see that it was clean, and told me what future issues we might have. All in about an hour! I highly recommend these guys for quick, friendly, professional service.

I had a water on the floorboards under the tile we were replacing, and APlus called me back first. So glad they did! Arrived promptly in the front end of the estimated window in the same afternoon I called, and did an inspection to assure me that it wasn't leaking pipes. The boards are still drying, but this was a huge load off my minds. Will be using them for all my plumbing needs going forward.

Miguel and Juan came to your house to unclog our shower and tub. They snaked it and were ready to leave, but Juan wanted to go under the house again one more time to make sure. He saw water was leaking! Luckily he caught it early! He and Miguel came back later that day. They squeezed us into their busy schedule. They took out the old pipes and replaced them and gave us a 6 month guarantee. They definitely knew their stuff and had our best interest in mind. We really appreciate them and will call them again next time we need a plumber!

I was contacted by our tenant on a Sat. that they were experiencing a horrible smell from under our house. They investigated and saw one of the drain pipes was leaking. I asked if they could wait until Monday (to avoid additional emergency charges) and they agreed. First thing Monday I called APlus and James answered. I explained the situation and he said he could check it out that morning. He arrived and did an inspection and provided pictures and called me to explain the situation. He provided a fair estimate however, I needed to get one more estimate just to confirm pricing was in line. I contacted another equally rated company and they agreed to come out in the late afternoon. Their initial estimate was higher than APlus however, I was able to negotiate a lower price and they could perfom the work the next day.. Had I had more time I would have contacted James (Aplus) to give him a chance to price match but I needed to get this work done ASAP since I didn't want our tenant to have to endure the smell and inconvenience.

I feel bad that I couldn't give APlus the job , I'm sure they would do a great job too.

Very thankful for James, Juan and Miguel. Started having water heater problems the night before, I had the option of getting repairs, but after talking to Juan it seemed like the right move was to get it replaced. I felt zero sales pressure or tactics, he simply laid out the pros and cons of my options and let me know what it would cost to get it replaced. The best part is I called at around 1pm in the afternoon on a Friday. He said he was fully booked on Saturday and could come on Monday, but he knew the weather was freezing right now. He somehow convinced his team to come to my place at 5:30 on a friday afternoon to replace the water heater.

Fyi, I did call other companies and his pricing was competitive.

I called APlus Plumbing based on their positive Yelp reviews. The phone call was immediately answered and I was told a team would be out to check out my leaky sink in 45 minutes.

The team, Jose and Juan, were at my house in less than 30 minutes. They were professional and provided a reasonable quote with the 10% first time customer discount. I needed to run out an buy a new faucet, they waited at no extra charge twice, as the first faucet I bought at Costco turned out to be cheaply made. They told me they could install it but didn't recommend it. So they waited again, while I ran to Home Depot.

All in all, fast, professional, friendly, good at their job and my new under sink plumbing and freshly installed faucet look great.

I called APLUS about a leaking shower hot water tap at 8:15 PM. A woman took my information and next morning Juan called and said he would be there in 1/2 an hour. Juan and Miguel assessed the situation and recommended that I replace the Price Pfister cartridge. I told them to replace both. They had the new parts in their truck and had the job done in 20 minutes.They were both friendly and informative.
I had called two other places the night before but APLUS was the first to respond. I definitely would call them again!

I'm sure that this company would do a good job. But 375.00 to flush out a clogged drain is way out of line.

I received a call from the owner of the company an hour or so after the plumber left. We discussed my concerns with the high priced quote to clear my drain. The call ended with the owner telling me he would be glad to work out a better price and if I needed his help to call him.
I'm always happy to work things out like this and will call them if I ever have a serious plumbing problem.

I chose APlus Plumbing because of the high ratings on Yelp. They did not disappoint. My sewer was backing up and the first plumber (not from APlus) said that I should get a camera inspection because he couldn't get his cable out and would not be able to fix it. (I am glad he was honest!) After calling several licensed plumbing companies, I chose APLUS because their ratings were good and they responded the most quickly to my calls. It's nice that they can come from 4-6pm for working people who can't take the day off for some repairs. For longer repairs, they would probably need to come earlier. When they came (Juan and Miguel), the camera inspection showed roots and broken clay pipes. They gave us an estimate and we had them return for the repair. I took the day off for this one because they wanted to show me from their camera that the lines were clear after the repair.
Both times they were very prompt and got to work immediately. They let me know when I could or could not use the bathroom or sink. They did a great job of digging out the pipe. After they replaced the pipe, they did another camera inspection, only to find more roots and broken pipe. There would be an additional cost but since everything was opened up, it was best to take care of that section of pipe as well. The owner James came out to help. They stayed another couple of hours to fix that and then did another camera inspection all the way to the main sewer line to make sure that everything was clear. Yes it was!!!! They were very good about returning the dirt and cleaning up the driveway. They also added another clean out which would be easily accessible for any future back-ups, which they do not really expect to happen because of the repairs. It's just nice to have it just in case. I would totally recommend them. They were very professional. I plan on having them back for some indoor plumbing repairs - slow drain, leaky pipe under the sink, and toilet that does not flush well. I think they will be my go-to for all my plumbing needs!!! Nice to give business to a local company that really seems trustworthy and honest.

Juan helped clear out our total clog at the end of our line in our home. He quickly arrived within 30 minutes of me calling him, even when I anticipated having the schedule a later date

The shower and the toilet would not drain and would backup. He removed the toilet and snaked down the line, but the line would still not drain. Ultimately, he had to climb under our home to hydrojet the line as we had no end of line clean out that came outside the home. This is something I really appreciated, as most of the plumbers that I called would not do this. He ultimately determined my problem - the line at the back of the house has no slope to it; as a result, waste would just pile up in the line and would not flow down stream. I will have to get this fixed in the future.

I watched the line from my main sewage clean-out as he flushed out the line, and I can confirm that there was a lot of toilet paper back up - confirming his theory.

He was very helpful, respectful, and helped me solve a problem that I could not solve myself. I would definitely recommend these guys to help solve your issues. I, myself, plan to request their services again when I redo my sewage line and plumbing slope problems.

Used Aplus again for shower issue and replace toilet. They showed up 5 min early to appointment at 4pm , which is fantastic. Tgey fixed shower valve and replaced toilet all done by 530pm. These guys are great. I have home warranty, and call on these guys instead of using jokers warranty company send. Which would take 2 3 trips w hr en Aplus gets it done.

Simply put: Juan and Miguel are awesome.

We needed to remove a gas pipe from our fireplace to convert it back to a wood-burning fireplace. I called to schedule a quote thinking it would take a few days for them to come out. They were able to come out the same day. The quote was more reasonable than the other quotes I had received, and they were obviously knowledgable, so they went ahead and completed the job...also that same day.

Now we have hired them for a larger job. I can't say enough good things about these guys. It's hard to find honest people who deliver quality service, and that's exactly what they provide.

these guys are the real deal. They came in less than 30 minutes after my phone call, on a Saturday too! Turns out I had a major drainage issue (all drain water was coming out of the downstairs bathroom toilet). They inspected the house to find the most cost saving solution. When I moved in my current home, there was a leakage from outdoor spigot. Since my trial to fix it did not work, I called this company. Within a day, a friendly guy visited and gave me a quite reasonable quote and promised to come back to repair a few days later that was totally fine for me, since it was not urgent case.

I ordered. His work was very accurate and fast. He soldered a spigot to copper pipe and bypassed it for sprinkler line as well. After that, I asked him to replace the kitchen faucet to new one that I bought and tried to replace by myself, but could not due to very narrow under space and a special tool to access nuts was also needed. He did it quite smoothly as a professional manner. In total, it was less thanhalf day work.

I very much appreciated his excellent job. I will definitely ask this company again if I encounter any other serious plumbing problems.

I discovered a lake around my water meter when I brought the trash cans in Thursday afternoon. I called the city Friday am and they came out to inspect and diagnose. When I got home from work Friday afternoon the water was shut off and there was a note attached to my mailbox. The leak was on my side of the meter. I called every 24/7 plumbing shop in the area only to discover most don't make after hour or weekend calls. However, A Plus plumbing did. He showed up Saturday morning, with tools and supplies, and replaced the pipes from the water meter to the house and added a second water spigot. I liked that he showed me the corroded pipe he removed. seeing is believing and I was content that he gave me enough consideration to show me what the problem was and repair it. I highly recommend A Plus plumbing! Reliable, efficient, professional and efficient.

Juan and Miguel saved my day and my weekend...
I live in a tri-level town-home and my bathroom sink in the 2nd floor was a mess every time we flushed the toilet on the 3rd floor (really nasty mess).
Juan and Miguel came right away after I called.
they did a great troubleshooting in the 2nd floor bathroom finding the problem. they were very honest on how difficult that problem it could be and they decided to deal with my problem.
after finding the root cause in the garage pipes, they switched to the necessary equipment to clear the pipes and wash connection line to the sewer.
they dealt with the nastiest mess I have ever seen, and if that wasn't enough they kept my garage clean as possible.
The service they provided was amazing... I really recommend this company and Juan/Miguel team is amazing.

James and Ernesto are excellent plumbers. they know their business and is true to their trait. very courteous - wears shoe covers and very responsive. polite and kind with their responses and explanations. James made sure that all my concerns, issues and questions are addressed. they're very knowledgeable and skilled. they fixed the kitchen stoppage problem with the less invasive solution. my other 2 estimates suggested a clean out installation outside of the house which will entail stucco demolition and repair. James was able to leverage and think through a solution that's efficient, effective with minimum amount of time and labor. overall i'm so satisfied and would recommend APlus plumbing to my family and friends with no hesitation. thank you Aplus plumbing, thank you James and Ernesto.

Excellent service and affordable. Juan was our technician. He arrived promptly at 8:30am and was done making repairs within 25 minutes! Extremely professional and very knowledgeable. This guy not only explained the problem and how he fixed it but gave great advice on why the problem occurred and how to avoid it in the future. To top it off, he told us he actually lives in this neighborhood! I would totally recommend this company to anyone that asks for a plumbing referral. If possible ask for Juan. A Saturday emergency - after calling 3 personal referrals and 3 more from those - randomly picked Dr. Plumbing from yellow pages (computer was down). I had a leak in my shower head that was getting worst. After looking at their reviews I decided to give them a call. I called and James answered the phone-- not a recording!! Love it!! He was very professional and courteous. I explained the problem and he stated he could be at my house within 40 minutes to give me an estimate . He was true to his word!! James and Juan were very prompt and assessed the cause of the leak. After I agreed with the estimate and they went to work. In no time my shower was working properly. I am grateful for their promptness and patience in explaining to me what they needed to do. They also showed me the old parts they had to replace which proved their honesty! Make sure you scroll through the list on yelp before choosing this company. I don't know why their company is listed #1 on the list, most likely alphabetical.

If you're like me, I look at their ratings (usually do right?). With over 300+ reviews being 5 stars, they must be amazing! Well, sorry to say that's wrong.

My story: I came home after work and did laundry. I noticed the water overflowed in the bathtub. What? So I checked the water in the toilet when I flushed and it also overflowed the tub. A plumber said it's the main line. Great...

The company.
Pros: I called right after finding out this issue. They sent someone out in a 2 hour window from 4-6 (I called around 330pm). They arrived at 4. That was nice.

Cons: What was not nice. I showed them all the piping and they asked some questions I couldn't answer sadly. Then they quoted me a huge estimate of $200+ to start a camera down the pipes since I dont know where the line is, and repairs can cost you $1400-$1600. No way...
we dont know where the issue is and if the issue means we need to dig up dirt or concrete, it would cost you more... so on and so forth.

Did they find my issue? No. Did they try? No.
But hey, they came early...

This is the third time we've called them out for various problems and they have always arrived promptly, been extremely professional and fixed the issue correctly the first time. We've used them to replace a broken kitchen faucet that had to be cut out because the underside of the sink was impossible to get to, to snake a kitchen drain that was backing up into the sink in the garage and most recently to replace our main sewage line that runs the length of the house.

They always arrive within hours of our call, do the work for the price quoted (which is always very reasonable) and clean up after themselves when the job is done. We hope not to need a plumber anytime in the near future, but we know who we'll be calling if we do need to. These guys are great!

Had them replace an antiquated drain pipe from underneath the home. Saw significantly improved draining from washer and kitchen area. Highly recommend them!

I called APlus Plumbing and they were actually able to respond to my house within two hours. Juan and Miguel arrived and quickly fixed a wall pipe that had been annoying me for years. They make a great team and they work well together. I was so impressed with there work that I asked them to fix a second valve problem that I was experiencing in another room. Upon inspection, Juan located two plugged up pipes and they were replaced within minutes.

I want to thank Juan and Miguel for providing excellent service in a timely manner. They are two knowledgeable professionals who know how to work in the plumbing industry.

I came home on 3/26 after work to a water heater spewing water and water in my garage. Went on yelp looking for plumbers and read great reviews about APlus plumbing. Called immediately and spoke with James to schedule an appt that evening at 7PM. Juan and Miguel showed up early at 6:30PM, accessed the situation and recommended repairs needed. They were honest, polite and very knowledgeable. Explained what they were doing and answered all my questions, while performing repairs. Repaired the leaking supply line, but was unable to get the pilot light lit, everything was soaking wet. Came back the next day, after things had time to dry out and was able to get the pilot light lit. While they were there I also asked them to take a look at my toilet that was occasionally leaking water and they replaced the wax ring...no more leak. I would definitely use APlus plumbing again if the need arises.

Submitted a request for a quote on Yelp for a pressure regulator and shower head installation, and James quickly responded to coordinate a time for Juan to come by to take a look. He arrived promptly, assessed the situation quickly, and set up a time to come back to do the work in a couple of days.

Juan and Miguel again arrived on time, did their plumbing magic (and I mean magic - cutting, fitting, soldering - oh my!) within the scheduled time frame, and left me with clear instructions on how to finish the shower install once drywall and tile are in!

On time, on budget, and exceptional quality work - who can ask for anything more?! No wonder they're so busy! Juan and Miguel are your guys to call for any of your plumbing needs - don't hesitate to do so!

Two days ago, we had a sewer backup emergency. I called APlus Plumbing. James accepted the call and dispatched a plumber right away. The plumber came and solved the problem using a snake. They accept credit cards. The price was reasonable. I like their service. At that point, I would say, their service was good.

Yesterday, there happened a leaking problem. I was not sure whether it connected to the sewer backup two days ago, but I decided to call APlus Plumbing again to give them a try. James answered the call and promised to send someone over soon. I was surprised that I was treated so nicely for a problem that had to bother them twice. Very soon, James came over and solved the problem without charging me any extra. More impressively, James is bilingual in English and Korean, good at communications. At this point, I would day, their service is super!

I initially called APlus because our water heater was leaking, draining large amounts of water into our basement. I called APlus at approximately 2pm and was told that they could come by at 4pm. James and his assistant were at my house by 3:30! James and his assistant looked at the water heater (including the water mess around it) and explained to us that we needed to replace our 25 year old water heater, showing us where the heater was broken. Additionally, we asked James to look at our very old kitchen faucet because the water wasn't draining well. It turned out that we had a leak there too...
James and his assistant replaced the old 40 gallon water heater with a 50 gallon water heater upgrade, replaced the kitchen faucet, and fixed the leak in TWO HOURS!! After, James and his assistant walked us through their work and took time to explain what they did. We appreciate that the work was done quickly, the services were provided with great professionalism, and all for a fair price. APlus really cares!

We contacted them in the morning and Juan was able to come out on the same day in afternoon to help us fix our kitchen sink faucet. He confirmed that we will need to replace it and he can install it for us. Once we had punched the new faucet, he came back out and completed the job for us. He and his crew, Jose, were very professional and patient with all of our questions. They even brought their own shoe covers! I'm very happy with their work.

Without hesitation or reservation I am giving APLUS Plumbing 5 stars for the outstanding plumbing work performed at my home over the past several days. After reading other extremely positive reviews on Yelp, I decided to call this company and I'm certainly glad I did. When I called James, he said he was working another job and he would return my call ASAP. He did just that and said he would come to my house within 2 hours to diagnose the problem. He sourced and replaced our instant hot water dispenser and a new recirculating pump for our water heater, all within the span of 3 days. His pricing is reasonable, and his work is professional. I would highly recommend James and will most certainly call on him for all of my plumbing needs in the future.

What wonderful service! Our ancient garbage disposal finally gave up the ghost this morning and I called James at A-Plus to see if he could help. James quickly offered to come by in the late afternoon (super convenient given my work hours). Juan of APlus Plumbing was fantastic. He showed up with Jose less than 30 minutes from my call. Asked questions about the problem and explained my options as to how we might try to fix it. Another 30 minutes later, my clogged drain was fixed with a guarantee to not clog again for quite some time. These guys define 'service' like it used to be years ago. Fast, fair, courtesy and competent. You can't get much better than that.

I've used this company on three occasions now. Once for the piping on a toilet, once to replace the pipe under the kitchen sink, and most recently the pipes for the kitchen sink that go in a crawlspace under the house. Every time Juan and his assistant has showed up on time, even when it's only an hour window, explained everything in detail and completed the job in a timely manner. Their prices always seem reasonable as well. I also appreciate that whenever I ask him if I should replace this or that, he gives an honest opinion. People are always afraid that when they get their car or house or anything worked on, the person will suggest they get additional things fixed immediately because it's bad or will break soon. Juan has always gave his honest opinion and said no that's fine or it should be replaced eventually, but nothing needs to be done now, just check on it every once in a while. I will definitely be calling them if I ever need any other plumbing services.

Juan and Miguel just saved me a ton of money. I called because my tub wasn't draining. Juan wanted to take a look under the house and found that the problem was actually the old pipes (from 1953) that were so rusted and clogged that they were leaking under the house. They replaced about 30 feet of pipe immediately. If it wasn't for their thorough work, I could have had a much bigger problem in the future. Juan even found and fixed an old leak under the kitchen sink. These guys are the best.

Kitchen sink clog beyond the trap I tried everything to unclog. Even went to Lowes and bought a 25ft snake that I attached to my cordless drill. Ran the whole thing through, made a big mess with nasty water all over myself and our kitchen to no avail. Still clogged. Called James at 8:30pm on a Monday night and he was at my house in 30min. At first I was just happy he answered and after setting up an appt for the next morning I went out on a limb and asked if he wanted to come over now and he said sure. My wife was ecstatic she didn't have to wash anymore dishes in the powder room! Affordable too. Thank you James - I definitely will use you again and refer everyone I can!

We found the toilet backed up and overflowing yesterday. I called APlus and they sent a technician (Eduardo Navarro) out in 30 minutes. It turned out that our sewer cleanout drain outside the house was overtaken by plant roots. Eduardo explained our options, gave us a reasonable quote, and expediently removed the plants and roots, dug down to the damage pipe, and replaced it with new pipe and high quality fittings. Although the problem was bigger than we originally thought and cost more than we wanted to spend to fix, Eduardo made the entire experience as pleasant as it could have been with his hard work and positive attitude. Based on this experience I'd highly recommend this company and Eduardo for your plumbing needs.

I have called APlusPlumbing twice and scheduled service with James who I think is the owner. Both times Juan and Miguel came out. They were early, had their masks on. they are very friendly, and knowledgeable.
The first time Juan came out to check out for a leak under our master bathroom he was very honest and said that I needed a general contractor not a plumber. A lot of businesses would of just tried to fix the problem to get paid, the problem is big. So I thank them for that!

Today, I had them out for an overflow from the garbage disposal. they said between 4-6pm and the guys arrived at 4:00pm. No charge for the consultation because they could not find a problem!
They did point out something I need to fix and I will schedule that with them for sure.
These company is wonderful, honest, prompt and friendly!

I found APlus Plumbing through Yelp based on their positive reviews. Juan scheduled me for the same day but I lucked out to be rescheduled earlier since I guess someone changed their appointment.

Juan came by in less than 45 minutes and the whole job was completed in less than 30 minutes.

Highly recommended and will definitely use them again in the future.

This review is long overdue. APlus Plumbing has been our go-to plumbers since we bought our home (a litter over a year ago), and they've helped us on three different occasions. We've always dealt with Juan who is awesome! He's extremely kind, professional and always on time. He explains everything very thoroughly and provides suggestions when he can.

The first time they came was the day we moved into our home. We had our main sewer line cracked from tree roots. We really needed it fixed that same day and Juan with another helper were able to get the job done. The second time Juan came was for our toilet. It was off balance and leaking. This past weekend, our kitchen sick disposal clogged and backed up our shower (the only shower we have). We had tight time constraints because we needed to shower and leave for a birthday party. He was on a big job that morning, but came quickly enough to stop by and fix the problem within less than an hour.

I highly recommend APlus to anyone in need of a plumber. One big thing I really appreciate is that they don't add on unnecessary work to rack up costs. They are pretty reasonable with costs and only do what is needed (at least from my experience). We couldn't be happier with their service!

I had the bad luck to need a plumber twice in a week. The first one was a scheduled valve change, which these guys did for a reasonable price, quoted in advance. They came on time. I had a separate question about other work, and they checked but said I didn't need it. I very much appreciate the honest response. The second call was for a sewer blockage. They called back right away, and came when they said they would. But the blockage had cleared itself, and no work was needed. They did not even charge a service call. I would absolutely recommend this company.

I had a slow draining kitchen sink, so I looked up the highest rated plumbers in my area and found APLUS Plumbing. They responded quickly to my inquiry and were able to come out that afternoon for a free estimate and fix the issue. Right on time, Eduardo showed up and was able to run the electric snake through my cleanout and fix the issue quickly and without further complication. We had been having trouble with our kitchen faucet, lately the water pressure never seemed right to me, and then the unthinkable happened. Yesterday after I came home I had turned on the faucet and all of a sudden it spurted at the same time I could hear dripping sounds underneath the sink. I opened the cabinet and there was water everywhere. Fast forward the water line broke. I looked underneath thinking I could fix it myself, it didn't take me very long to realize that I was wrong. I googled plumbing and saw Aplus at the top of the list. I called them on a Thursday afternoon explained my situation and I didn't want to go for days without use of our kitchen,you see we do a lot of cooking at my house.Then 24 hours later Juan and Jose where at my front door! They saved the day like Batman and Robin. They were very professional and friendly. The service was top notch and I would recommend them to anyone. These guys know their stuff. They answered all our questions and my wife and I were very satisfied with the service we received. I just wish we had known about them a couple of years ago. Would I call them again? Absolutely! Thanks guys!

I was away on vacation and my renter texted me about a garbage disposal problem. It was 3:00 AM my local time but 10:00 AM Hayward time. I used yelp to find a plumber with good ratings and found APLUS Plumbing and called to make an appointment. Here are my observations:

Pros:
- Same day appointment during normal business hours. APlus arrived at ~1:00 PM or about 2-1/2 hours after I called. Great!
- APlus replaced the garbage disposal in 30 min. Great!

Cons:
- Labor and Materials costs not broken-out. The receipt provided to my renter totaled $375 and stated, replaced garbage disposal in the kitchen sink total cost parts labor. The receipt did not break out the disposal cost plus any materials and labor. Not so good. Labor and parts costs should always be broken-out. My bad for not asking up front.
- Was not given an option to choose garbage disposal quality level. It turns out APlus installed an Insinkerator Badger 5. The Home Depot online description for this unit states, ... choice when affordability is the primer concern. Or, it's the cheapest model they make.

Labor cost example. So lets say the Garbage disposal cost $92 retail. $375 total cost minus $92 for the disposal equals $283 Labor. Labor took 30 minutes so about $566/hour for labor. Now I use another plumber for projects but he does not come out to the Hayward area. However, when I do use this licensed and fully bonded plumber with over 20 years experence, he charges $120/hr labor plus materials. I'll add he typically charges 1 hour minimum. Using 1 hour minimum labor, APlus charged $283/hr!

In summary, I gave Aplus a 2 start rating based on their high labor cost, not breaking out material & labor costs, and installing a cheap garbage disposal. The service was quick but this was not an emergency situation.
