* The dream of creating a business to help protect homes and businesses in the event of an earthquake by installing a device that would restrict the flow of natural gas and thereby shutting the gas meter off automatically emerged. We previously had trained and worked at the So. Calif Gas Co, having a collective 32 years' experience in the gas related field, it was a no-brainer. Take what you know add excellent customer service skills, and we were on our way! We have added many services since then. John worked over 16 years as a Field/Customer Service Technician for Sempra Energy Gas Company. John left the Gas Co. in 1997 to pursue his dream of owning and operating a business of his own. John is a leading expert in his field. His clients include Top Real Estate Brokers, Investors, Property Management Companies, Home Owners as well as Commercial/Industrial Companies, i.e., Bill Gates, Sharon Stone, Amtrak, LA Sports Arena, JPL & U.S. Tile to name a few. John is a Certified Property Inspector, Property Mold Inspector, Licensed General Contractor and holds a C-36 Plumbing License.
John enjoys traveling together with his wife Laura, Mentoring at-risk youth. He is an IPCA Certified Life Coach. His passion is coaching young entrepreneurs.

This company did an amazing job! Due to the crazy rains we had, my home sustained some water damage 10 days before the close of escrow! John was very attentive, gave me an honest estimate and started work right away. He oversaw all aspects of the job and made sure it was completed on time. Everyone who completed the work were very professional and skilled as well. I would recommend this company for any restoration or home improvement projects.
I had John and Oscar install an underground gas line in my backyard. They were extremely responsive professional and efficient. I called John in the morning needing a rush job and they were at my place by noon with all the materials needed to do the work. They had the gas line in the ground within a couple hours. They also guaranteed it would pass inspection, which it did. And they came back the next day to connect everything.
I would highly recommend John for any gas line issues, he was very knowledgeable especially in Irvine, which has different code requirements than other cities.
I contacted John with Andreas Fault to install a pier and post under our house and he was very fast at responding and he came out the same week I contacted him. He was able to come by the same week with his crew and they did a great job. We can actually feel the difference under our house. I would use John and his crew in the future.
I was looking for a company to install an earthquake shut off valve so I took to Yelp to help me. After searching I came across John's company, Andreas Fault Property Service. I read a few reviews looked at photos and decided to send a message. John replied promptly to each of my messages. He is a certified plumber and worked for the gas company for 17 years so I felt comfortable having him install the valve. On the scheduled day he arrived on time (actually early which didn't bother me) and explained what he needed to do. Afterwards, he showed me the valve and made sure I knew how it worked and he checked the water heater and stove to be sure they were operating. He even gave the pipes a fresh coat of paint! John is friendly, easy to communicate with and willing to answer questions. I would recommend him.
On time and on budget! John and his team performed a significant amount of work in our new house. They took out a bathtub and put in a shower for my aging mother in law, took the carpet off my stairs and put down wood, put in whole house water filter, 3 TV brackets, wiring for TV's, and ceiling fans. Very pleased with the way John's team performed.
Great service. after three different plumbers had come and had not solved the problem, The guys from Andreas Fault Property Services were able to identify the problem and fix it in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again myself!
I was in need of a referral to get work done on a house and shortly after finding Andreas Fault I knew this company was the right fit. After completing the invoice agreed upon Mr. Cipres showed such compassion to my tenant, with me living out of town, there is no price that I could pay for the help he rendered. Very happy with my choice of inspection company. I was a little overwhelmed by the number of home inspection companies available in my area. After checking the Yelp reviews, I called a couple and found out their prices are about the same. John sounded knowledgeable and the fact he specialized in plumbing was a big plus because we've had plumbing issues with older buildings before. He did a very thorough inspection and explained to us what we saw. Although the building has many problematic areas, most of them are easily fixable which was important to know.
The report was sent to us 48 hours after the inspection, exactly as promised. It's a tremendous help in our purchase decision. I will definitely call John again if the need arises.
They do good work and have reasonable rates. I guess they are really busy now since it has been a major struggle trying to set up appointments to finish a project. I have had to follow up multiple times before getting them out the first few times. There is one step left and I have contacted them 5 separate times and I got one response. Still no appointment set. I'd rather be told We are too busy to take on your case than to be stuck in limbo having to keep following up like this.

We have used numerous contractors in the past but these guys are the best of the best, their supper fast to give a quote, extremely professional, they always go the extra mile just to make their customers happy & satisfied with their professional work they have done everything for me from installing an earthquake valve, remodeling my kitchen, installing underground water pipes, to even fixing my fans, I shall continue to use Andreas Fault Property Services as long as they keep me as a customer.

After spending a year and a half with my 3 Kids constantly with fevers, I had a friend suggest looking for mold hidden in my home. I was hesitant because there was no VISIBLE mold anywhere in my bathrooms, kitchen or walls. I called John at Andrea's Fault and he found high moisture reading UNDER my hardwood floors in the kitchen. He immediately identified mold in that immediate area. I had the mold tested only to return positive for the VERY TOXIC black mold. Andreas got right on the job taking all possible precautions and being sensitive to the fact we had to move out temporarily during the job. The team worked tirelessly to complete the job on schedule. After removing the entire flooring, he took pictures to show me the extent of the mold and it made sense why my children were constantly with high fevers since the first month we moved to the house. I am grateful for honest companies like John's. We haven't had a fever since the job was done in October '13!!!

We needed our gas pipe relocated after we purchased a new stove. We selected John because he was highly responsive, knew exactly what we need from the pictures we shared, and best of yet, gave us the lowest quote - a firm quote, not a range. John showed up and completed the work in less than an hour. We highly recommend John.
I've worked with John several times and he is a stand-up guy that is very personable. He is definitely in the right business as he does care about the client. He installed an earthquake shutoff valve, Moen Flo and a Halo water filter at my house and did a phenomenal job. I would highly recommend him to others.

Could not have been a better experience! Found Andreas fault property services on an Amazon Local Deal and thought it was time to install a earthquake shutoff valve on our Gas line. I emailed the company and had a response within an hour. John asked for a few photos of our gas meter and I sent them back. Again a quick response on a price installed. We set a time and date and that was it.
He showed up on time, fast clean install and was done and gone in 40mins and at the exact price quoted. I wish all companies and contractors were like John and this company.

Wonderful experience! John Cipres and his crew - Frank, Robert and the rest of the guys are terrific. They are all very professional and talented. Communication was great in regard to the days and times they were coming out. Our last project together was a total redo of my guest bathroom. Price was very fair. They are all perfectionist with great design ideas. They suggested I install the tile in a different direction than I wanted to and they designed a custom nook instead of a standard medicine cabinet. I followed their suggestions and my bathroom looks fantastic! First project was earthquake shut-off valve...I was so impressed I called them for a new water heater and our third project together was the bathroom. I will use them for all my future home improvements! I cannot recommend them more highly.

I can't say enough good things about this company!!! I wanted to have an earthquake gas shut-off valve installed on my home. I looked around at various places and decided to try this company since I was impressed with the reviews on here and because I prefer not to give my business to the big guys. John was very friendly and clearly explained everything. He was done in 45 minutes and relit all of my gas appliances. Their prices are EXTREMELY reasonable. They are way cheaper than the competition. He also cleaned up around the gas meter. I highly recommend this company. They will not disappoint!!

I don't have enough good things to say about John Cipres and his company Andrea's Fault. From 2008 to today I have worked with him on improving my 1950 ranch house in Reseda, California. John had been recommended to me by Allstate to add a seismic gas shut off valve outside as an insurance requirement. He was prompt, courteous, and took the time to explain what my old house required in order to be safe.
Since then he has had my entire electrical system upgraded to 2015 code, had an old gas water heater replaced, had new windows and air conditioners installed, and replaced the original plumbing system with new copper pipes, this over a period of eight years.
When I need something done to upgrade or make my house safer John is the first person I think of. Today he installed updated gas connectors to my stove (which is 40 years old and still running great) and the water heater. He came at six in the morning so I'd be able to go to work.
If nothing else, A gas shut off valve in this earthquake area of California is a comfort and frankly a necessity. John is excellent at evaluating home conditions: he is a home inspector and has done two formal inspections on my home to evaluate foundations, attic and roof at my request.
The most important thing is that he does not try to sell you anything that you don't need. I have great faith in him and I think I can say after eight years of his service that I'm a pretty good judge of the quality of John's work. I recommend him to anyone who wants a fair and honest contractor.
John and his workers ( their name Sal and Jorge ) really did a good job and neat. They arrived on time and mostly early than my appointment. They fixed leaking in my bathroom and repainting whole bathroom. I'm very satisfied with the results and my bathroom look new now.
I highly recommend them to you if your house have issue with plumbing , leaking, and etc. They always give the best service.

I had a great experience with this company today. They came while I was not home and completed the service quickly and quietly. Although I was quoted for 1 drain to be unclogged, they went above and beyond and made sure the neighboring drain was also properly cleaned without charging me extra.

Andres Fault provided a competitive quote, (I received 2 others) to replace outside hose bibs and update the water pressure valve. The work was excellent. This company deserves 5+ stars no doubt!! The gas company had shut down my gas and would not reinstall service due to a gas leak . We had no gas for two days! I was in desperate to get service installed right away and was instructed by the gas company to find a professional that can fix the gas leak. Between my brother and I we searched desperately for someone to go immediately as we had children in the home and needed hot water , dryer and no way we were able to shower with this cold weather causing water to come out freezing cold. We both called a few places and some didn't answer others gave you a waiting time of a day or two .. we needed someone Now! John answered right away and after hearing the situation squeezed me in the schedule same day. He went to the house and in little time he was able to fix the problem. I can't express how professional and reliable let alone reasonable in price the company is. I will not hesitate to recommend them nor call John back if we encounter another situation like this (hopefully not)! Thank John very much! We appreciate your quick response to the urgency of the matter.

These guys are amazing. I had a little gas problem. It was leaking into my garage. John came out around 11pm that same day to help me get my gas back on. This was after my home warranty company sent out 2 other guys who said they couldn't help me. Since then they have put in a new wall heater, replaced all my gas line and replaced a leaking, busted pipe in the crawl space below my house. Very professional and on time. I highly recommend them.

We can't say enough to express how pleased we were with the service we received. The estimate they gave was fair and honest. The work was timely and done very well. The sink at our spa was broken and with their help we were back to normal in no time. John in particular was a big help.
We owned our house for five years with just a few little issues here and there. I had John complete a full inspection of the home and he showed me the whole story. I had a 20-year old water heater that was ready to blow. I didn't even know how long it was supposed to last. John always keys me in on what maintenance projects my wife and I need to complete over time. Ask him for the heat-sensitive camera for any possible water damage!!
John Cypres and his company is amazing. John came out to find out why my garage door wouldn't open and has referred me to a specialist since John determined it wasn't an electrical problem or power issue. John himself is an incredible property inspector and can help, fix, or refer someone to solve the problem if he can't. He's courteous and reliable and I trust and refer him to everyone.
