Excellent response time, extremely friendly and fixed a faulty breaker in no time flat. Highly recommend and will definitely use this company again.

I had both a minor electrical problem which needed a dimmer switch replaced and then a loose pipe which needed an evaluation as to the appropriate remedy. Sims and Sons  responded to me immediately and within 24 hours sent a knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful technician. Anel, the electrician, was courteous, arrived on time, and fixed my dimmer switch within minutes.

I found T&D electrical via an internet search, and i couldn't be happier with the find! I needed some light fixtures installed, and a garage door opener changed. Setting up a service call was a breeze, and the communication was prompt and friendly. The technician was prompt, professional, and completed the installs perfectly. I'll definitely be using T&D again in the future

Had a bad outlet in the garage.  Called Ted Monday morning and he came by and replaced the bad GFCI outlet.  Ted was knowledgeable and friendly, would definitely use Ted again!

Joe arrived right on time.  He was prepared for the job and only had to go to his truck once for additional parts.  He was efficient, the job was done well and the price was reasonable.  I would highly recommend Joe for your electric needs.

First of all, I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed I felt the need to write this one.  I needed a light switch replaced in my kitchen.  Chris responded quickly with a very fair estimate yesterday and was able to schedule an appointment for today.  Chris is professional, courteous, efficient and very reasonable with his charges.  I have already discussed having him replace some light fixtures in my house.  I highly recommend ALC Electric!

We uncovered something weird when working on our 1920s home, and Ryan was able to come out right away to check it out and make sure the outlet was working properly. We look forward to working with Ryan again in the future!

I needed a ceiling fan replaced, and an overhead light replaced - just outdated models in the condo I'd purchased. From my first call they were great: (1) able to fit me in within a week of my request; (2) their employees arrived early in the morning so I could get this done before starting work; (3) they were efficient while in my condo, and finished both projects from taking the lights out of the box to constructing the fan, to hanging it in just over an hour; (4) they removed my old lights and fan; and (5) sent me an invoice in a couple days for payment.  

My projects weren't complicated, but I did have concerns about the wiring in the bedroom since the previous fan/light just cut off power. Luckily for me, Highlights assured me there was no electrical wiring problems - just an old piece of equipment.

Highly recommend for lighting needs around Chicago.

Steer Clear. This is not a legitimate electrical company. Gave me an estimate and did the electrical work for an EV charger in our condo building. Even though building management didn't request City of Chicago license initially, they checked for it later (it can be asked for at any time) and this company is not licensed in the City of Chicago and its illegal to do residential work without it. The job was done completely wrong and he almost blew the sump pump and electrical to entire building by connecting to a panel inexplicably and was told not to. Installed wiring that was bent and broken and taped together which could have caused shocks and burning. New contractor easily installed it - no bends or breaks. The wall outlet installed was open and exposed, and if water dripped to it could electrocute people. Sloppy, cut corners, dangerous, illegal and not up to code. Absolute garbage, rushed work. Refused to get City of Chicago license and come fix job. We will be pursuing our money back. This is an illegitimate electrical company. Avoid at all costs.

Addendum to review:

Right, I'm not an electrician , but here are couple facts that a real electrician should have known and done, that found out about your job.

You were told by the building engineer to use the 480/277 volt panel because 208/120 was already at the capacity.

You just plainly ignored that and proceeded with your version. Maybe you don't know the difference between two.

You ran 208/ 120 wires through 480/277 panel which was a huge code violation and a human life safety issue.

And that's not all:

Then you spliced those wires inside that panel multiple times -- code violation.

You then decided to use lightning contractor conduit to run the wires and overfill that conduit -- code violation.

You installed the breaker at the wrong panel (which was at capacity) so you overloaded that panel.

The wire was badly scraped

You removed pipe straps and made the electrical conduit loose -- code violation.

J boxes that you installed were unsecured and loose with knock outs missing -- code violation

I'm still waiting on the city of Chicago electrical registration paperwork  from you.

A qualified electrician would know right away that he is working with 480/277 volts and would have informed me that i needed a step down transformer in order for the EV charger to work!

On top things you have charged me over $2K for 2 J boxes and a roll of #6 wire, which costs $600 at the most. The piping was already 97% there , so what took you so long.

It took a qualified electrician a total of 8 hours to remove the faulty work and install everything from scratch including installing the transformer.

We'll happily accept a refund to settle this matter

Fantastic guys. Knowledgeable and experienced. Upfront pricing unlike when I reached out to Jiffy (an online service provider). On-time and was totally professional and I absolutely love my installed dining room light. I will be using them when I move into my new home.

Jake and Lenox were a great team- they were efficient and were able to locate the source of our electrical problem. They replaced 2 GFI's and have literally brought light back into our lives! We'll definitely be using them again.

In addition, we called during this outbreak and he wore a mask and gloves, maintained a distance and I also noticed he sprayed the area with disinfectant without me asking him to.

They came out, explained what they were going to do to diagnose the problem I had (no power in garage), located the issue quickly, and corrected it.  Fast, friendly, knowledgeable.  I selected them for the 5 stars on Yelp, and I am very pleased to add to the list of 5-star reviews.  I wish more interactions were like this one.  Highly recommended.

TOM Electric Services is an excellent company for electrical repairs. The electricians are extremely knowledgeable and experienced. They provide great customer service and have always been able to answer questions, solve problems, and other issues with my electrical system. I highly recommend them!

Ted changed out fixtures throughout our house, including a difficult chandelier in our dining room. He also fixed a hot outlet and looked at our garage electrical. He was on time, fairly priced, and did great work. We'll be using him again.

Very responsive and responsible. Alex tried to help us trouble shoot over the phone to save us money. When that didn't work he showed up promptly, diagnosed the issue, and fixed the bad breaker.

Aaron and Angel arrived on time and very efficiently fixed the water damaged drywall on our ceiling for a very reasonable price. It looks good as new. This is my first time using fixer but will definitely use this service again.
