Darell did a really good job. We are trying to install a smart Toto toilet washlet cover, but wasn't sure where to get the power supply. Darell provided us a complete solution for installing this water proof outlet and showed us how to route the water supply. Excellent job. Highly recommended.

These guys were great.  I called them at 9am to get some lights installed in my kitchen and they were able to come over by noon and get it all done quickly and professionally.  Would highly recommend them.

Last month Joe replaced our old fuse panel with a new 30 circuit 100 amp panel, including new service line and placement outside.  He responded very quickly to our request for a review of the job site and provided a very reasonable quote for the job.

The work was completed as described and on time - he even threw in an extra GFCI socket to boot!  The village inspector complimented the work and gave us an immediate approval.  

Joe is great to work with and I will definitely call him again if/when I need any electrical work done in the future.  I highly recommend Joe.

So I reached out to this company through Yelp about a month ago.
At first they seemed quick to respond and willing to help but I still do not have a response for the work I wanted done.

A gentleman contacted me and asked a few questions and then gave me a time and date to come look at the house for estimates. He was late to the appoint by nearly an hour due to a car appointment running over longer than expected.

He gave me some solid advice saying to look into my internet provide to get the work installed (I did, but tried again with no luck). I did appreciate the recommendation. I thought it was sweet.

After researching my internet provider again. I texted that same gentleman about getting work done.
No response. I texted him again about 2 days later only to be given a number of someone else because he was out of town.

I called the number and left a voicemail only to be never contacted. You win some you lose some.

Ryan showed up six hours late. Replace two outlets and charge us $600.

If you need electrician, look elsewhere.

Highlights Chicago Electrical Services had done fantastic work for our condominium association in the past so when I personally needed work done, I hired them. They replaced a faulty GFCI outlet by my kitchen sink, removed an old audio volume control from the wall and installed a new chandelier. They asked questions appropriate for the work. (chandelier placement, chandelier height, etc.). They worked efficiently and cleaned up when their work was complete. I would definitely hire them for future work.
Update - 27-Oct-2021- I had additional work to be done.  Again, the electrician that came out did a fantastic job.  They replaced a wired smoke detector with a combo smoke detector / carbon monoxide detector, capped off the original carbon monoxide detector, replaced 1 closet light, and replaced 2 exterior lights.  He worked swiftly and efficiently.  I will definitely use them again for my future electrical needs.

Overall great experience with Jose the owner.  I am an active duty Solider currently not in the Chicagoland area and Jose was able to assist with a dry wall repair in my ceiling.  He updated me through the process was ok with communication via text and phone.  This process was super easy especially considering I was not present on site.  I highly recommend them.

Jake came to fix an electrical issue on our rooftop. He was able to quickly identify the problem and address it. He was very friendly and reasonably priced. I definitely recommend!

I used Neville to hard wire sconces in one bedroom and take care of some switches in another room. He provided a 2 hour window when he would start, but realized early in the day he'd be late. While he was about 30 min later than the window he gave me, he let me know very early in the day, and made it clear he'd stay late to finish the work that day if it became an issue. He gave multiple updates to let me know the progress of the earlier job and his ETA. As far as the work goes, he gives you the pricing up front, and he made sure to explain everything before he does it, to make sure you are comfortable with whats being done and to make sure any cutting is done in the place you want. As others mentioned, he communicates through texts, which is really easy. Great work, I'll use him again.

We hired Kinetic Energy in January, 2016 to install a new light fixture in the ceiling of the entry foyer of our house, and to deal with the old knob and tube wiring that was connected to the old light fixture. That kind of wiring was commonly installed in old houses like ours (about 110 year old). It is insulated with rubberized cloth. As a result, the crew had to replace it not only where it connected to the ceiing light fixture, but also to other outlets that connected to the same breaker (including the ceiling light over the front porch).

Kinetic's owner, Ted, is friendly, candid and experienced with working in old homes.  He got the permit and arranged for the two later inspections (rough and final). The Oak Park electrical inspector promptly approved the work when it was done,

    His friendly crew members generally arrived on time, and worked steadily. Because they had to cut holes in the foyer ceiling made of drywall, the work generated dust. As a result, the crew each day covered the  floor with a tarp and put up plastic sheeting over the entry to the living room from the foyer. They cleaned up well at the end of each workday, which we greatly appreciated. The crew also liked Ted. He had recently bought for them sturdy red jackets which had battery operated warmers - especially nice for any outdoor work they did in the winter.

Could not recommend a better electrician!

I had a desire to install ceiling recessed lights and ceiling fans in a few rooms for some time. After doing some research on Yelp, I found Tom and gave him a call. We were able to set up a in-person consultation soon after, where he walked me through the options for recessed LED lights (4in vs 6in) and spacing of said lights. We agreed on an overall plan and start date.

During the project, Tom and his men were timely, clean, and very efficient in their work. They carefully calculated and marked out the placement of the lights and fan on the ceiling in each room for my approval before starting to cut into the drywall. In the end, they had to cut into a surprisingly small amount of the drywall to put everything together. In the two places in each room that they did have to open up the wall, they carefully replaced the drywall, saving me from having to make any large patches before repainting.

I wanted to use a particular smart dimming switch (Brilliant), but it was backordered and did not arrive in time. Tom hooked up everything using temporary switches and came back later to finish the job once they arrived.

Overall, I would definitely use Tom and his men again! I have a couple other projects around the house I've been thinking of (electric car charger, exterior light, replacing track lighting with more recessed lights, etc.) and plan to use Tom for these projects in the future!

Frank is very professional.  Showed up when he said he would, explained what he was doing, and even provided a lower price than what he first quoted.  I will definitely call him again for any electrical job.  Highly recommend!

Very responsive and responsible. Alex tried to help us trouble shoot over the phone to save us money. When that didn't work he showed up promptly, diagnosed the issue, and fixed the bad breaker.

Very very low quality work.  Scratched our bathroom cabinet and denied doing anything wrong.  Second time we've been disappointed.
