Stefan is very responsive. I just used him to replace some blown breakers due to an overheating dryer. I reached out via Yelp and he responding on a Sunday no less! He said he could arrive on Wednesday and provided a flat fee quote vs hourly that could have turned into who knows what. He checked in with me the morning of and ended up coming 2 hours ahead of schedule after calling me to see if I would be available. Great service, clear quote upfront, and I didn't have to worry about him showing up! Highly recommend.

Darrell was so professional from the moment I reached out. I contacted him to request a chandelier installation and he got back to me right away during a weekend. He scheduled me right away, arrived earlier than our appointment and took less than an hour To install. He was very professional and so nice! I look forward to using him again for future projects.

CALL THIS GUY!!  I spent a good portion of year, hundreds of dollars and went through 3 other electricians before I found Joe.  After explaining the symptoms, he pinpointed a random electrical issue I was dealing with in minutes.  He charged me a small fee for his short time spent and followed up the next day to be sure all was well.  I will definitely use him again and will be telling all my friends. For all you single women, first time homeowners, who are getting ripped off out there, search no more. Chris is an honest professional. He's done mutliple jobs at my place now and trust me, I've searched the quotes. His work is clean, up to code, and even educates me on the do's and don'ts. For me, this goes a long way. His communication is exceptional, his thoroughness is easily visible, and he keeps it real. when you find a good contractor you share him, because there are a lot of contractors out there that are so demanding and the job is total trash ass. That's the worst.

All around great first time experience. I called on a cold snowy night and the owner had someone (Leeroy) out to me within a couple of hours. Leeroy was great, and fixed my issue with my outdoor GFCI outlet almost instantly. So thankful to have a great electrician in my phonebook now!

While trying to install a new lighting fixture in the basement of our 1920s home, we encountered some truly baffling issues that, among other things, affected the outlets in our living room upstairs. After trying to troubleshoot the issue every way we knew how, we consulted Yelp to see if there was an electrician nearby who might be able to sort things out for us.

After reading the glowing reviews of Ryan Electrical Power and Lighting, it was an easy decision. Ryan responded to my request almost immediately and was at our home in Oak Park within an hour.

As we expected, our electrical issues weren't exactly straightforward but Ryan took his time to locate and remedy the problem and, in the process, eased our concerns about the safety and longevity of our wiring.

Ryan was extremely professional and courteous (he chatted with my dad and explained everything he was doing every step of the way so we know what to be on the lookout for in the future) and his rates were really fair. (When we inquired about the possibility of installing our new Nest Thermostat, he even recommended that we just call an HVAC professional who would probably charge us less!)

While we hope we don't have any electrical/wiring issues in the near future, we most certainly will call Ryan first if anything comes up!

Rogelio did a good job on our building. Repaired some outlets, in the apartment, garage, and outside of the building. He shared photos of his progress. We talk over the phone to clarify details and got a quote on the spot for additional work that was necessary and was finished the same day after getting the parts needed.
He is also bilingual, what helps communicating easier for a larger population group.
All good overall.

Overall great experience with Jose the owner.  I am an active duty Solider currently not in the Chicagoland area and Jose was able to assist with a dry wall repair in my ceiling.  He updated me through the process was ok with communication via text and phone.  This process was super easy especially considering I was not present on site.  I highly recommend them.

I hired Jake and Urban Power to add two electrical meters and relocate the circuit breakers out of the garden unit to a common area so all tenants could have access to them at my 3-Flat property.  He is a master of his craft and did a great job providing solutions to the issues I presented and working efficiently on the install and relocation as well as managing the permitting process with Com-Ed.  He has deep experience working with rental properties and gave me some great insights to add value to the property including installing security lighting which I hired him to do as well.  I would highly recommend Jake and Urban Power for any electrical job big or small.

Several observations:

While Neville's employee, Johnny, is usually a pleasant and bright worker, when I pointed out that the light on the fan he installed was not attached properly on one side and was hanging down a bit, he gave me a challenging sort of look. i didn't react to the look, and later saw that he had corrected it without comment, so thanked him. But he was silent on the subject from start to finish and I got the feeling Johnny likes to think of himself a benefactor and not simply an electrician capable of human error.

Neville had the same attitude. He put in, without asking, slider controls for two overhead living room fans, which I have been told by previous electricians can cause a hum. No big deal but we had a loud hum in each fan so I asked for the sliders to be removed. Johnny took them out and the hum was significantly reduced, but again he was pretty much silent throughout. Any further discussion of the remaining hum was greeted coldly.

When my daughter went directly to Neville to try to discuss the fans a bit more, (texting him of course), he answered crisply, 'Your fans are under warranty, go to the company if you want the hum gone.' She didn't say it, but actually, no, Neville, they are no longer under warranty as your actions in putting in sliders violated the warranty and left us with no warranty.

We did call them again a few months later, but after Neville took our text and promised to call back he never did. So now we have no option to use them anyway because they fired us.

We had an electrical issue come up and Kinetic Energy responded immediately. We were under a time constraint and Tracy called back and was able to schedule an electrician the next day. Carlos was able to find the problem and solve it immediately. Both Tracy and Carlos are true professionals. It is so hard to have someone call you back let alone do a great job. kinetic energy did both. They will be our go-to from here on out.

I recently hired this electrician to install a Ring doorbell in my home and I couldn't be happier with his work! He was very professional, promptly arrived on time, and was able to install the device quickly without any problems. He even took the time to explain how the doorbell works and answer any questions I had. The installation itself was seamless and the doorbell works perfectly.
