Sims and Sons are freaking amazing. Derral and his team are professional, fair, and hard-working. We replaced all the track lighting in our loft unit and they did an amazing job. It's awesome knowing that we now have a reliable and trustworthy electrician.

I can't recommend them enough. They didn't charge for an in-person quote and did stellar work.

Sorely overpriced. I needed an electrical outlet repaired. T&D had to pull a permit to do this work. The permit costs $75. The breaker that was replaced costs about $40. I was charged $300 to repair one electrical outlet. I didn't know any better, but I know now.

Ted and Tom gave a reasonable estimate based on the scope of work I provided (outlets not working after a DIY mishap). They were able to quickly make the repair and explain the problems found. They also addressed a separate grounding/shared circuit issue they found. The additional charges for the increase in scope/time was very reasonable.

Would recommend them if you have residential electrical wiring issues.

Joe was knowledgable, personable, and charged a fair price. He fixed several faulty switches in our home quickly and efficiently.

First of all, I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed I felt the need to write this one.  I needed a light switch replaced in my kitchen.  Chris responded quickly with a very fair estimate yesterday and was able to schedule an appointment for today.  Chris is professional, courteous, efficient and very reasonable with his charges.  I have already discussed having him replace some light fixtures in my house.  I highly recommend ALC Electric!

So I reached out to this company through Yelp about a month ago.
At first they seemed quick to respond and willing to help but I still do not have a response for the work I wanted done.

A gentleman contacted me and asked a few questions and then gave me a time and date to come look at the house for estimates. He was late to the appoint by nearly an hour due to a car appointment running over longer than expected.

He gave me some solid advice saying to look into my internet provide to get the work installed (I did, but tried again with no luck). I did appreciate the recommendation. I thought it was sweet.

After researching my internet provider again. I texted that same gentleman about getting work done.
No response. I texted him again about 2 days later only to be given a number of someone else because he was out of town.

I called the number and left a voicemail only to be never contacted. You win some you lose some.

After removing a fixture we lost power on our entire second floor. It was well beyond y capability as we are in an older house.

I tried several electricians and since it was a weekend nobody responded, even several days after I called.

Ryan picked up and was at my home working on the issue, which was complex, within 2 hours.  He was able to fix our issue and get things working again while also installing the new fixture.

I'd recommend Ryan for any electrical need

I am so thankful I called Highlights. Boz, and his team - Oskar and Rolando were everything and more.

I called to get a second opinion on installing a sub panel to power radiant heating for my floors (requiring two additional dedicated 240v lines). Boz informed me that the right way to do this would be relocating my box in my unit (was in a community basement). I thought we were looking at a week+ lead time and probably would need to sell my left kidney.

The team was able to complete in two days of work, four days in total from the moment I called them. Pricing was reasonable and absolutely worth the work.

These guys are great! They were referred to us and they are great for all kinds of jobs. We originally used them for various electrical work such as changing and updating electrical boxes, to light fixtures, to moving, replacing and rerouting outlets and switches. We were looking to knock out a wall in our kitchen and we had called them for the electrical part of it and turns out they were able to do the carpentry work as well!!  We had them come and see the space and they were very respectful of our belongings. Covered everything super nicely and helped us move some of the things they were afraid could possibly get damaged. Very trust worthy, we left them alone in our home for 90% of the project, and they cleaned up after every time they came. They did a nice job painting the living room as well and all for a great price!! I would definitely recommend them!!

Jake came to fix an electrical issue on our rooftop. He was able to quickly identify the problem and address it. He was very friendly and reasonably priced. I definitely recommend!

I called Neville on a Saturday 2 weeks ago when the power went out in my garage & he responded to my call within minutes.  He talked me through many steps via text to see if I could fix it myself.  To make a long story short it got fixed & there was no need for him to come out.  I have been working with electricians for years on my house and a property I own & this is was by far the most helpful & responsive one I have dealt with.  I will be using him in the future when I really do have a problem

I set up an appointment to have someone come out and look at a crackling noise in a light switch. I then googled the symptoms and found out that I just need to replace the switch. I called Kinetic back and canceled my appointment. They called me back 20 seconds later and gave me a helpful tip on how to install the switch.

Kinetic Energy since then has worked on my parents house and mine in Oak Park and we have both been very happy with their service and friendly personable electricians.

I recently hired this electrician to install a Ring doorbell in my home and I couldn't be happier with his work! Alex did a great job replacing a broken switch. He responded quickly to my initial request and was fast in communicating throughout the scheduling process. We are very happy with the quality of work.
We'll likely have to have most of our old wiring replaced and are looking forward to have Alex and his team back. Seems to be a newer company, and I'm glad we took a chance on them.

Highly recommend for a variety of tasks! We've used Fixer for pluming and thermostat help and have been very pleased! They are the go-to solution for small jobs but bigger than DIY. Edgar was our fixer this morning and was great!
