Half the side of our kitchen stopped working. No circuit breakers tripped. Assumed it would be $$$$. David showed up right on time and fixed it in under an hour (some melted wires) - and told us what needed to probably be done to fix some wiring that wasn't up to code - with an estimate. Perfection!

Had a bad outlet in the garage.  Called Ted Monday morning and he came by and replaced the bad GFCI outlet.  Ted was knowledgeable and friendly, would definitely use Ted again!

I live in a real old house in Oak Park, tried to replace the possibly just as old light fixture on the porch myself and ran into a lot of rust and stripped wires and stuff I was not expecting so I knew I needed professional help. The owner Boz was kind enough to find me someone to come the day of! The electritian Mike was great!! Very kind and respectful. He explained everything in detail to avoid any problems in the future and how to fix them. I will definitely use them again and request mike!

We are in the process of tearing down a house we recently purchased, and hired Rogelio at Alex Electrical to cut the main electrical line from the pole to the house, as well as remove the cable lines, the electric meter, and the electric box in the house. Rogelio was extremely knowledgeable, very responsive, professional, and got the job done in less time than the estimate. He also mentioned that his company installs outlets, light fixtures, etc. We will definitely be hiring him again in the future for any electrical needs we have. Thank you, Rogelio.

Very happy with the work Tweaks & Finishes did. We've used them multiple times to hang lamps, switch out fixtures, and switch out switches. They were easy to get a hold of, easy to schedule, and kept us informed of what they were doing as they were doing it. They made some recommendations for our fixtures and switches to work more efficiently. They completed the work quickly and professionally. Will continue to use them for any electrical work.

Jake came by to install our ventilation fan and a new bathroom vanity. He was super friendly, quick, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

Neville and his team did a great job repairing an issue we had at our condo in Lakeview.  We first reached out over yelp to describe our project, and were able to set up an appointment for the next day.  Pricing structure was fair and well communicated, and payment was easy through Venmo.

Overall, we are very satisfied with the work we had done.  Blacklite did a great job and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have electrical work done.

I called Ted just a couple of days before Thanksgiving with an emergency electrical situation in our 110 year old home. He was clearly booked up, but understood our situation was dire and was willing to find a way to fit us in to a very busy schedule. He sent Tara out with an hour and she was able to solve the problem and get our service restored. Ted and his crew are extremely professional and do fantastic work. A++ in all aspects. I had great pleasure to hire Tom's company for our house project. The project included multiple rooms. Complete Bath and kitchen electrical renovation. Two bathrooms received outlets, switches, can lights and fans. The kitchen received  new can lights and outlets. Living room got new can lights. We also added wired smoke detectors throughout the house. Tom was a total professional when he came in for the estimate. Everything was explained so that there were no surprises any time during the project and he made sure that we understood the work that was going to take place. Prices were very competitive, and work was done in the time promised. Tom made sure that everything was done right, to code and left everything clean and spotless. I would definitely hire again. Highly recommended.

Alex did a great job replacing a broken switch. He responded quickly to my initial request and was fast in communicating throughout the scheduling process. We are very happy with the quality of work.
We'll likely have to have most of our old wiring replaced and are looking forward to have Alex and his team back. Seems to be a newer company, and I'm glad we took a chance on them.

The fixers were very nice and did a great job.  I think pricing is a bit high but then again you can schedule something on a moments notice and that is worth the cost.  They guaranteed their work and we're very easy to work with on billing.  That is another thing you won't always get if you hire an individual a cheaper price.  So their are a lot of pros that come along with the increased pricing.  I would recommend highly, unless your on a tight budget.  I would definitely hire again.
