Bulterman Electric Electrician
Robert did an amazing job installing my home audio and video.  He set up surround sound in my huge living room, safely mounted my TV on the wall and sourced the best Audio for me to use.  He went so far as to connect everything seamlessly, and even gave me a full lesson on how to run it all!  He was very communicative, thoughtful, considerate and mindful when working with me on how I wanted to approach this project.  He left the job done with out a mess and working perfectly.  I would highly recommend Bulterman Electric over all others in the Bay Area!

Visual Comfort & Co. Electrician
Great customer service. I walked in and was immediately greeted and welcomed in my workout clothes with my dog. Christina helped me and explained how to use the scanner and I was done in about 15 minutes since I was simply looking for some wall sconces and a new vanity light. They email you all your choices with the specs. Very low pressure and there were a decent number of items in my price range ($150-$450). Appreciated being treated well despite not having a designer, etc. I have been to some other lighting stores in SF and no one even talked to me! Highly recommend this place.

Ben Handy Electrician
I needed an executive chair assembled, toilet seat changed, horizontal blinds changed in one window, hinges adjusted on kitchen cabinet doors.  Ben responded quickly to my request to schedule and came the next morning to do the work.  He was friendly, personable, knowledgeable, efficient.  His rates were reasonable.  Great experience.  He's a wonderful find.  So glad I took a chance on him.

Reasonably Honest Mike's Electrician
Mike showed up right on time, assessed the work, took the keys, completed it two days later, sent me pictures and videos, did a great job, and charged me reasonable amount.  I hope we have a long and mutually beneficial relationship.

Guerreros Electric Inc Electrician
Carlos emailed me promptly and set up a time to come troubleshoot my various electrical problems (I let them build up until it was worth a call).  My previous electrician had retired and I wasn't looking forward to finding a new one, but Guerreros Electric Inc. was highly recommended. I was very happy to find this all true. Communication beforehand was very clear, including the fees (no surprises when they finished). They were prompt, arrived in masks, which they wore the entire time. He explained what my issues were, how they happened, and fixed everything on the spot (they brought what they needed, instead of having to run out to get supplies). We are very happy with their work and would definitely use them in the future.

TD West Electric Electrician
So a little different from my usual review because, well, they don't serve food, but I'll try to keep it concise.

Task: Upgrade main panel (Federal Pacific), replace subpanel, and other small electronics.

I requested quotes from several different places in October and decided to go with TD West because I just felt I trusted them the most and they gave me a competitive price. Weren't the cheapest, but definitely very competitive.

Dinh was very communicative for the most part. Every person that come to my house was very courteous wearing booties and a mask so thumbs up on that.

Initially, the original estimate of when the project would be done was about 1-2 months, but it ended up being longer than that, but that's okay because we weren't in a huge hurry to switch over. So a slight inconvenience but didn't disrupt our day to day lives.

First 2 days, 2 guys came out and started setting a ton of things up and started switching out the old subpanel and setting things up for the new panel.

Next time, a single guy came out and finished patching and finishing up the subpanel.

Next time, city inspection. This process was a bit long because it was nearing the holidays.

The next step was to get PG&E to come and switch over to the new Main Panel. This was done with no real issues.

Last step is, we just need to get the final building inspection and we're all set to go!

Overall, very happy. I wished there was a little more communication on what time everything was going to happen. We over-shot our initial estimated time to completion by about 3 months. Luckily that didn't affect us, but that may or may not have been in part due to permitting etc. Outside of that, I really appreciate everything that they have done and how they always answered my questions I had when they were doing the install.

I would recommend them but also warn them that it may take longer than the original estimate. Even though it did take longer than expected, the original price quoted is what they are charging me so I'm very happy with that. If I have other electrical needs, will most likely be calling them again.

LHP Electrical Electrician
Well if you read my other electrician review it seems the circuit from the main panel blew out during the winter storm. We were getting flickering lights for months and then it worsened with the electricity cutting out. I found LHP in the Chinese newspaper want ads.

Mr. Zhang answered the phone right away was able to come by the next day. He diagnosed the problem and noted that the previous contractor gave us an old, broken circuit breaker. He replaced the old one and made sure everything was working in the house before he left.

Price is fair. Service is good. We highly recommend him!  He speaks perfect English too.

AJ Electric Electrician
John the electrician and owner of AJ Electric is very busy. It took some time before I received an official quote. However I did receive a rough estimate via text the day after he came to perform his estimate. He was punctual and on time the day of my appointment. He was very observant and respectful, for example he asked if he should remove his shoes before entering my home. His pricing is reasonable. His work is very thorough. He even patched up all the holes made in the closet. He came with his assistant Mike who was also a pleasure to work with.  I had the following services: (1) an existing pull chain closet light converted to a LED strip light with a designated light switch; (2) a new LED closet light with designated switch was installed in a closet without an existing light source/power supply; and (3) a blown outlet was also replaced which was not even on my list of things to do but he took care of it.

Williams Electric Electrician
Called and spoke with a lady who stated she would call me back with an appointment time. She or anyone ever called me back. Spent 10k with another electrician who did call back.

I just read his reply and had to edit. How could he say what work I wanted and he doesn't even know my name because we never spoke. My screen name on Yelp isn't my actual name that I left when I called his business. If 10k worth of electrical work is a small job, this guy must wire arenas or skyscrappers everyday. Just say I was busy and sorry I couldn't call. Don't lie on the customers. Be better than that.

Gandara’s Construction Company Electrician
After getting estimates from 3 other contractors, we decided to go with Carlos and team / family to remodel 2 bathrooms for us.  Practical reasons being:

- They gave most competitive and reasonable price.  Enabled us to squeeze in 2nd bathroom remodel
- Overall tangible experience (plumbing, carpentry, tiling, etc.)
- Able to resolve unexpected issues on the fly
- Accommodated changes we requested in middle of construction

However I would say their greatest asset is that their simply just good and honest people.  It was pleasure to see them each day and ultimately, sad to see them go.  Frankly, I don't think we'll be going with anyone else for any future home related projects.  Thank you to Carlos and team / family!

SWL Electric Electrician
I called Samson in the morning to get a quote for installing a ceiling fan/light in my living room. The room has tall (11') ceilings and I knew I'd never be able to install it myself. He gave me a quote and came out the same afternoon and completed the installation, including changing the light switch from a dimmer to a standard switch to make sure everything was working okay. Even though the fan was more challenging to install than a typical Home Depot-type ceiling fan (it was a Minka Aire Artemis XLS high-end fan) and he had to change the wall switch, he stood by his original quote, wich was quite reasonable.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Samson and SWL Electric and would definitely use him again.

PJ Erwin Electric Electrician
Pete, Christian and Max are stars: these guys are professional, fast, knowledgeable, honest . . .and just plain nice!  I should know, because I am a licensed contractor myself, and a retired Senior City Planner who granted or denied permits for home improvements.  I wish every homeowner might be fortunate enough to find contractors like P.J.Erwin.  They did our job quickly and to perfection, while protecting our furnishings, landscape, and structure adjacent to their work areas.
How many contractors are genuinely glad to see their fellow workers and clients each morning?  And it was a pleasure to see them.
I'm not given to gushing about contractors.  Find out for yourself -- give Pete a call.

H5 Electric Electrician
I needed to find someone to ground a house that I was selling and reached out to 10 different electricians in the area and got every kind of answer under the sun from $20,000 to don't even bother with it. H5 sent someone out the next day, and took care or everything at a fraction of the others.

Thanks for a great job.

Bryan Poli Electrical Contractor Electrician
Like many San Franciscans, my house is 100 years old and features a mix of knob and tube wiring and modern wiring from past remodels. I was planning to replace some ancient, painted-over two prong receptacles that were giving off sparks and wouldn't hold plugs well anymore. I know enough DIY that I've been able to replace switches and light fixtures on my own, but when I scraped off the decades-old paint, I saw that one of the outlets was screwed right into a rough sawn-out hole in the baseboard with no electrical box whatsoever. I decided I needed a pro's help.

I had a great initial phone call with Bryan; he readily discussed the problem with me and respected my limited but nonzero knowledge of electrical matters. Bryan was able to make a next day appointment for me. After I spoke with him on the phone, he sent a text to confirm the appointment, and another text to touch base right before the appointment. He showed up right on time.

Bryan replaced the ancient receptacles with shiny new three-prong ones, which included sawing out a new hole in baseboard to make room for an electrical box where the outlet had been installed without one. He showed me what he was doing every step of the way, and even offered to let me do as much of the work as I wanted under his supervision.

The appointment was actually fun and educational as well as getting the work done. The work he did looks very high quality - instead of just screwing down the old knob and tube cloth wires, he added fresh colored pigtails with butt splices and terminal connectors. He quickly grounded all the switches in my bathrooms as well, which a previous electrician had neglected to ground despite ground wire present in the box.

Bryan works by the hour, but he's upfront about his rates and works efficiently.

I asked him for recommendations on bigger projects like EV car charging, installing a more solid ground for the house, and removing all remaining knob and tube wiring. He gave great explanations of what was needed for each project, and was pragmatic about what was important to do and what wasn't. I felt confident that he wasn't trying to upsell unnecessarily.

I was very pleased with Bryan's work and would definitely call him again for other electrical projects.

Laser and Sons Electric Electrician
These excellent guys got so few five-star reviews? LOL, they are too low profile. I'm a reator and they are so far the best I have worked with. This time, they did a smaller project for our own home.
They don't charge the cheapest ( I have quoted several good-reviewed licensed electricians), but they are not the most expensive too. Price is just one thing, the more important thing is:
1. They are super professional. Eveey details had been taken into consideration. And their crew is very clean, always clean up any mess after working day. Very polite too.
2. They are very creative. There are several non-standard problems, and they are the only person who proposed perfectly work-around solution. I like that they are sharing their much knowledge and experience with me, instead of saying simply no or doing larger disruptive project to our walls and current electrical system.
3.  Very easy to work with. The owner Gustavo is funny to talk with:) and Alfanso is very responsive, always explain to me about details and different options. And document them as much as possible to keep us on the same page. ( we change our requirements for several times)

Highly recommend if you need a professional and respectful electrician.
